The storm has already hit below Skeldr Town, to the great misfortune of those still caught outside. Aaron and Bates had been sent to meet a supposed Seroran delegation, but then the storm hit, and now they are separated from the main group. The merchant Judiah and his two hired mercenaries Jinxx and Kaylen have also lost their way in the gale, and worse, they could swear they heard snatches of talk on the wind- talk of the Night of Bloodletting. Cultists. Hurrying away as fast as they could, they ran in to Bates and Aaron, and the snow falls thicker than ever in the darkness. Your party has grown and there is safety in numbers, but now what? Judiah | Travelling Merchant
Judiah knew it was going to snow, sure, the weather witches had foretold that a great storm was to come in the next week or so, so Judiah had thought 'Oh, perfect time to go do some last minute trading!'
And now they were lost
in one of the worst blizzards Judiah had seen in his lifetime...
Cold wind whipped against his face and body, his thick fur doing little to shield his skin against the sharp snowflakes that racked across his body, clinging to his body like a lost child. With a stagger in his step, he glanced back at Jinxx and Kaelen, the hired vagabonds seeming to struggle in the storm as well. He clenched his jaw momentarily before speaking "Come on, we should nearing Skeldr town soon" I hope, he failed to add, worry about being lost nagging his mind. He turned to face the wind again, stepping through the deep snow with ease, his feathers clotted with snow. Now more than ever did he regret his decision to head out again; if they hadn't, Judiah would be sitting in his little cottage, building a fire and preparing for the oncoming storm "Can't worry about the past," he spoke to himself "Gotta keep stepping to the future"
With a determined mind, he continued on, glancing ever so often back at the two vagabonds. He felt sorry for them; he had lived in near mount Skeldr his entire life, and had grown accustomed to the cold snow and wind... he had no idea how those two must be feeling "How bout a story to pass the time? I'm sure two vagabonds such as yourselves must have a plethora of them!" he laughed, trying to break the awkward silence between the three of them.

War-Forged | Bates | Raider
Dense fog hung in the air as the two drafts trudged through the storm, having lost their original route that led to the gathering of Seroran delegates they were ordered to meet with a few other horses; the snowfall increased rapidly over the time-span of a little under an hour, forcibly delaying the stallions and eventually led to their separation.
Cold, rapid, currents of wind pushed against them, a fierce slap of wind hitting Bates’ chest, his coat violently twitching in response. “We will not be able to persuade this storm to work in our favor, Aaron. By this rate, we’ll be engulfed in snow or possibly dead by morning.” Bates huskily spoke, breaking the silence for the first time since they began this trip, briefly glancing at the bay draft before returning his attention to the venomous storm that threatened to swallow the drafts alive - cautious of where he placed his massive hooves.
Bates huffed, white fog noticeably leaving his nostrils, “What do you think, should we settle in the safety of the forest or should we continue onward?” He inquired, curiously tilting his head as he stopped - his full, undivided, attention on the bay - Bates’ ears swiveling around similar to radars, casually listening to whatever might make a sound; aside from the howling storm.

Vagabond | Jinxx | Mercenary
Jinxx was just about blinded by thick snow fall, blinding most of her vision. She stayed close to her fellow Mercenary, a much younger stallion she believed to be named Kaelen. If it were her choice she wouldn't have it this way, but she rather not get lost and freeze to death alone in woods she had never seen before. The increasingly strong storm made her queasy as she plunged through the growing layer of snow that cover the floor.
"Come on, we should be nearing Skeldr town soon" Said the Merchant who had hired her. At this point she was questioning why she even accepted this mission. She absolutely hated the cold and if she had it her way she would never touch snow again. "Sir, perhaps we should find shelter." She suggest loudly as to be heard over the screeching of the winds and the flexing of the trees in the strong gusts of snow that plagued the forest. Not being able to constantly monitor her surroundings was certainly not fun, as she anxiously looked over her shoulders with tense muscles.

Kaelen | Vagabond Mercenary
'For Digend's sake! Why did it have to be freaking snow...' Kaelen grumbled to himself, ears pinned back and head low as to avoid any ice shards slipping into his eyes. He looked to the other Mercenary beside him, Jinxx, who appeared to be just as irritated by the impassioned blizzard. Kaelen had been hired by someone across the land, far from where he usually lurked; the dry, barren plains of Sedo. It was hot there, all the time, and now he'd been thrown into a world of cold, and he wasn't at all use to it. Plus just the long journey across such a vast land had taken it's toll on him.
Out from under furrowed brows he watched Judiah walk slightly in front, quietly bickering to himself over how foolish he was to have planned an ordeal at the time he had. His muscles remained firmly tensed as to try and relieve himself of the sharp, stinging flakes of snow that clung to his body. He was so cold that he felt like he was burning, hotter than he'd ever been. The mix between his body temperature and the temperature outside of him was unsettling, and caused for a small, gnawing headache to evolve at the base of his skull. This job had better be worth it.
'Stories? Pah, you won't get one out of me, mate.' Kaelen replied in his mind, though his lips remained sealed. He wasn't one for sharing memories and telling tales of his experiences. It was obvious- just by looking at him- that he'd had quite a few of them. "I doubt we'd be able to find anything suitable at this time, can hardly even see five foot in front of me." He replied, voice husky. "Plus, if we're near Skeldr anyhow, why not just keep going the one extra bit so we can get to real shelter?" He suggested, throat dry and teeth chattering rapidly to try and ease the deathly cold that clung to him like a cloak.

War-Forged | Aaron | Raider
The wind was ice cold, snow was thick and everything was hard to work. Aaron was with the massive Bates, both trudging through the angry storm. Both of the draft's lost the original route which they had to go and find the gathering of Seroran delegates, they now have to find any lost horse. The currents started to become thicker, the snow came down in heaps. Aaron looked around, seeing if he can find anything or anyone.
Looking at Bates the massive draft he replied " We should continue but not for long, we cannot die here. If we cannot find anyone we'll then look for shelter" He looked at the draft for a little while longer, then turned his head to continue looking. It was very cold outside. And Bate's was right, if they stay out too long they both will die. Although being able to keep the speed and strenght that they have come's to a slight advantage to them both. They both are able to go for a sligthly longer time out in the snow. Strong white mist came out of his nostral's it emused him. He loved seeing the snow, but somethimes in storms like this it was too much.
Aaron awaited a reply from the stallion next to him, they both needed to either find these horses or get shelter.

Judiah | Travelling Merchant
Judiah glanced back as both of the vagabonds ignored his request, cocking a brow slightly. He let out a sigh, the puff of smoke coming from his nostrils soon blown away into the wind. He pursed his lips, and was about to speak when Jinxx started speaking. He listened to her words and nodded slightly, going to reply before Kaelen spoke before him. Judiah stopped where he was and thought for a moment, the howling wind the only thing breaking their silence "We're going to continue on to the forest, and try to find some shelter. We're all freezing, and I doubt we're going to make it much longer. Skeldr Town seems to be farther away than I thought..." he explained, turning slightly to look at the other two "come on, I can see the outline of the forest ahead"
With that, Judiah continued to move through the snow, brows furrowed in determination as he continued forward. Soon enough, the large evergreen trees were beginning to loom over their heads, slightly breaking the harshness of the wind "ha! we'll be much better off in the thick trees, doesn't even seem like the wind can break them." he laughed softly, smiling his friendly smile "We can set up a lean-to, to get out of the sno-" he stopped in his tracks, his words trailing off as he spotted two rather large figures ahead "Be ready for trouble, but don't do anything till I say" he breathed out softly, continuing slowly towards the figures "Hello! Seems like we're not the only horses to get lost out in the storm," Judiah laughed, approaching the strangers with a friendly tone of voice "I'm Judiah, of Skeldr town. Might I ask who you two are?..." he asked, his tone polite.

War-Forged | Bates | Raider
A short-lived chuckle managed to claw it’s way out of Bates’ throat at Aaron’s concern, “We have been travelling for quite a while, it’s highly unlikely we will find our way back. Our best bet is to temporarily find shelter in the woods and continue our search in the morning when the storm has settled.” Bates decided, croaking out subtle orders for Aaron to do with as he pleased. However, with the bay in tow or not, the dappled behemoth began his way towards the forest in the near distance, eyes narrowing as snow flurried into his face.
Once Bates and Aaron, possibly as he wasn’t too sure if he had followed or not, reached the calm embrace of the tall pine forest the stallion released a pleased sigh. Albeit, he immediately drew in a sharp breath as an unfamiliar voice greeted his ears; a kind, warm, tone. Warily, turning, he faced the unique equine that offered such a greeting, though his cold blue eyes pierced into the other individuals that he seemed to string along - inspecting them with equal heed. “It appears so,” His voice rasped, cold and uncaring, Judiah’s friendly demeanor unsettling the draft, “Bates.” The stallion addressed simply, subtly knitting his eyebrows together in an attempt to make sense of why the band of horses were travelling; much less during a storm. “This is Aaron, we are also citizens of town Skeldr.” Bates briefly introduced his companion, not wanting to share too much information about the other draft in case Aaron took offense or of the like - not that he’d mind but it’d make his journey to meet the delegates all the more dreadful.

Kaelen | Vagabond Mercenary
The dark Vagabond nodded to Judiah to let him know he was with the plan. He didn't really want to stop, but he didn't have much choice if the other two were going to. There was no point in him going on by himself obviously. He trotted forward, though it was more of a fast walk as the knee deep snow caused him to falter slightly. Seeing the towering pine trees split through the layer of bustling wind, Kaelen had to admit to himself that he was eager to be out of the storm. He had been in sand storms before, but not even they were this irritating or harsh. He'd choose those over this any day. He followed Judiah into the foliage, instantly feeling some form of warmth- though small- tickle his fur where the wind couldn't reach. He shook, trying to get the cold water and ice off his still rather thin coat.
Before anything was even said Kaelen could sense someone nearby. He didn't really know what or who it could be, for he had never been here before, but he definitely knew something was lurking. He didn't say anything, for he wasn't sure at the moment if it was even close enough to come into contact with the small group. Soon enough however Judiah brought to the surface that they had company. Kaelen instantly lifted his head and puffed out his chest, stepping forward. He would do as Judiah said, though there was nothing more he wanted than to take cover, see who it was and probably attack them no matter who they were. Even so, he bit his tongue and kept his eyes on full alert. Seeing the two stallions arrive, Kaelen squinted curiously. Letting Judiah do the talking, he stood nearby, staring the two War Forged drafts down. The bigger one looked straight to business, the other looking less feisty, but still able to do some damage if wanted. Kaelen had taken plenty of heavy horses down before, and even though he was weak and cold now, he didn't doubt he could do it again. All he could think of was violence, and it took every ounce of mental capacity for him to control himself.
He gave Jinxx a sideways glance, before looking back to the citizens of Skeldr. He wondered what brought them out through this storm?

Vagabond | Jinxx | Mercenary
Jinxx sighed with relief at the news they were stopping. Her mane was frozen solid at this point. She listened to Judiahs' plans of making a lean-to and rolled her eyes, shaking her head and trudging on toward the large ominous trees. Hopefully beyond them would be some relief from the nearly unbearable buckets of snow that was currently tormenting the easily irritated mare.
She too spotted dark figured, and squinted her eyes. Large horses. Much more suited to this environment then herself. Jinxx made sure to remind herself that she was a tough, well trained fighter. She could take them if need be. Stepping up she went beside Judiah, looking up at the pair of drafts with one eyebrow lifted.
The one was at least 19 hands, with a thick white blaze and a light cropped mane and tail. The other was around the same height, with large white patches and a similar haircut. Jinxx looked to Kaelen to make sure he was ready if they were needed. It wasn't that she doubted him as a mercenary, but she did have a complex, to say the least. Trust in stallions was not something she wasted.

War-Forged | Aaron | Raider
Aaron sighed, he knew bates was right. Following the large stallion aaron too large steps, so he didn't exhaust himself. They took shelter in the large and thick forest, Aaron ducked his head a little, trying to warm himself a little. It was still very cold, his skin stung and was numb. That wasn't the worst. Up ahead both Bates and Aaron spot 3 figures. Taking a deep breath in Aaron stood straight and presented himself, showing that if needed he can fight. Once the figures came into focus Aaron relaxed a little. It was Judiah he saw this stallion around before, spoke a few words. Nothing worth concidering a meeting.
Bates took charge in talking, as he introduced himself and his partner Aaron just slightly moved his head down a little. A common greeting that Aaron gave to the oh so happy nice guys. Taking a deep breath in Aaron spoke in a husky raspy voice "What are you guys doing out here in the storm?" he inspected the few horses that were around, two of them didn't look like War-Forged Aaron looked at them a bit more. They looked more like Vagabonds. He stopped looking at them. Aaron didn't really mind them but some could be so annoying. Like little ants, they get in your way. Taking his voice down a bit he tooked at the two followers " And who are you?" Aaron eyed both of them. He wanted to know there names, so at least he can keep track of them in this storm.

Judiah | Travelling Merchant
Judiah listened to Bates speak, nodding at his words, and then looking to Aaron when he took his turn to speak. He nodded and smiled "Ah yes! I think I've seen you two before! Raiders, right?" He smiled at the two of them, his tail swishing back and forth slightly, moving the snow slightly. He glanced back at the two mercenaries, licking his lips "Well, this is Jinxx," he said, head gesturing to her "and Kaelen" he smiled, Gesturing to his other companion "I hired them to help me get to the edge of Onea safely, but seems like we won't be going anywhere fast too soon" he laughed softly, puffs of warm air coming from his mouth.
He looked from Bates to Aaron "and may I ask the same question to you too? it's not often to find a pair of raiders out lost in a snow storm," he winked "but I doubt neither of you expected a storm like this!" Judiah looked around, blinking snow out of his eyes "ya know what, why don't we build a fire and try to warm up before we start sharing our life stories" he chuckled, walking past Bates and Aaron, flicking his tail to gesture that Jinxx and Kaelen should follow "I think I've got some cider we can warm up and share"

Great. Officially the worst mission ever. There was nothing worse then the cold, except for, apparently, being in the cold and stuck with not one but four males. She groaned as he announced her name, wishing he had left her to do it on her own. But she was sure this job would pay well, and followed him at request.
At the mention of cider her stomach rumbled and she really hoped he did have it on him, because she was starved. She recalled having tucked away a few crackers in her poach earlier and took them out. A bit crumbled but there was enough for everyone to have some. "Judiah, i have these aswell." She said quietly to him, not wishing to speak to the pair of strangers and become familiar if it were later necessary for her to kick their teeth out. She felt an uneasiness about the dapple grey one with the blaze. He made her feel queasy and on edge and it was not a feeling she enjoyed. The other seemed quiet, perhaps that was not a good thing.

War-Forged | Bates | Raider
Quietly, Bates listened to the small talk that was shared between the horses, deciding to stay out of whatever was being asked unless it was absolutely necessary. The draft contemplated answering Judiah however his question was, thankfully, dismissed, he wouldn’t want to share information with strangers; much less Vagabonds if that was, indeed, the case. His eyes wandered back to Judiah as he chuffed, offering a weak smile at his teasing, working his jaw in thought as the unicorn mentioned having food.
Mentally, he flavoured the way Kaelen’s and Jinxx’s name felt, both so foreign to him, as he revised each of their names, his eyes inevitably drifted towards them. Subtly, very subtly, eyeing them, having noticed Jinxx was peculiarly looking at him with the same intent; sizing him up, albeit she looked a tad intimidated by him - if that was the case - which silently amused the stallion. Kaelen, however, was and has been completely mute throughout their encounter, suspicion arousing in the dappled male almost immediately. Vagabond. He grit his teeth together, breathlessly growling at the thought of having to ally with a vagabond; although he attempted to dismiss his violent thoughts by allowing him benefit of the doubt.
Bates nodded at Judiah’s suggestion, feeling slightly at ease that they shared the same homeland, “There’s a small clearing up ahead,” Where Raiders had previously taken out a group of vagabonds, he thought to himself, “I think that’s a suitable place to set up shelter.” He proposed a rather decent spot, it’d leave them less work to do as half of it had been pre-made already; assuming the small camp-fire had been left alone as a sort of trophy, all they’d have to do is gather firewood and light it.

Aaron looked at the mare nammed Jinxx. She was.. interesting.and strangly beautiful. Although Aaron passed that thought away he saw the next stally. He hadn't spoke since they got here. Thought's came into Aaron's head, was he a mute? Or just a shy stuttery stallion. Judiah though, was a bit too nice. Offering food, and drink although his nice fit him perfectly. Bates offered a sheltered place so we all started to trudge through the snow again. Aaron started to speed up, slowing doen next to Kaylen. "Do you talk at all?" Aaron asked in a low husky voice. He was curious, very curious this stallion was quite even Jinxx said a few words.
Jaylen was quite small compared to the 19 hands draft. Small, shy and quite. Aaron started to think if he was hiding something? Aaron awaited a reply from the stallion if he would reply. After a while Aaron looked at Judiah "Thank you for the offerings though" it was true, he could have let Aaron and bates cold, and hungry but he didn't. He had a kind heart, sometimes a bit too kind. But that's fine. Aaron didn't want to share stories of his past. Maybe just a few not important ones..

Kaelen | Vagabond Mercenary
The dark Merc didn't really understand why or how Judiah was being so kind to these stallions, though he did suppose they were both in the same herd and shared the same ideals. Kaelen couldn't remember what herd life was like, so he guessed he just didn't understand it anymore for that reason. He nodded at the two before them when Judiah introduced him. He didn't care much to interact with the strangers, he was here to protect Judiah if needed- that was it. He shuffled slightly, wanting to get moving so they could build a fire. The storm didn't look as though it was going to calm down any time soon, and Kaelen didn't much fancy dying here of pneumonia. A fire sounded good, something familiar to the hot sands of Sedo.
Kaelen began forward, ears pinned slightly and eyes narrow, watching Bates and Aaron the whole way he walked past them. Once he was slightly in front, with Judiah nearby, he took his eyes off them and scanned the area ahead. He had to wait for Bates, because Kaelen had no idea how to navigate himself through the thick, dark forest. He could hear the wind still whistling out in the open, and felt ice cold just thinking about being back out there. He stood still for a moment until Aaron approached him. "Yes. I talk. I'm not a social butterfly however. I do not find that a necessary trait to have. And I do not find the need to say anything to you." He spat, though his words were quiet. He dropped back toward Jinxx, the only other horse here who Kaelen felt was suitable to spend time with. She knew what he lived, how he lived. They shared common ground, and that was more than what he shared with the War Forged members with him.
"Jinxx, keep an eye on the Raiders. I don't think Bates much likes Vagabonds." He asked, keeping his eyes off Bates and Aaron and his words at barely a whisper. He sighed, following the group now as they moved toward where they would be staying. This was going to be a long night.

Judiah | Travelling Merchant
Judiah nodded at Bates words as they walked forward, glancing back as Aaron questioned Kaelen. He felt his heart skip a beat, and really hoped that his vagabond companions would keep their word and not act unless Judiah told them to. He looked back to Bates, smiling as they came up to the clearing "looks good. I'm sure if we all pitch in we can have a fire going in no time" he chuckled.
Soon enough, the five of them had a small fire going, the flames dancing along with the light wind that was blowing among the trees. Judiah glanced around at those around him, and then at the flickering shadows of the trees around him. He took in a deep breath, and finally turned his head to look up at the surrounding mountains, as well as mount Skeldr. He smiled faintly, thinking about home and how nice it was going to be once he got back to Skeldr town. He let out a soft sigh, closing his eyes for a moment and enjoying the warm feeling from the fire.
And then he felt...Wrong
A serious of chills ran throughout Judiah's body, causing his fur to stand on end. He blinked a few times, glancing around at the others to see if the others were acting differently, his eyes no longer holding the gentleness they usually had. He flicked his ears around "Everyone be quite" he said with a sharp shush, glancing up at mount Skeldr. He held his breath as he listened to the wind howl, trying to hear anything else.

Harsh murmurs reached his ears in no less than a whisper, his eyes narrowed and ears flattened, trying his best to keep his mouth shut. Irritation beginning to chew at his hide.
Bates was completely silent throughout the time the horses took to set-up a rather well-established camp, with the time given, a sense of disgust overwhelmed him as he reminisced having Vagabonds perched up in this very spot. A loud huff clawed it’s way out of his throat, which could’ve been dismissed as having inhaled ashes from the crackling fire before them, quickly lidding his anger before it took reins.
The dappled draft kept his distance from the group of horses, inspecting them from afar while he inevitably kept watch, his ears perking up as Judiah began to stir - emitting a strong uneasiness from his pores and eventually spoke up. Bates’ eyebrows knitted together at Judiah’s request of silence, shifting in place as he, too, attentively listened to his surroundings; the harsh yelping and howls of the storm draining any possible noises, albeit he turned to face the menacing, dark, forest in hopes of spotting any danger. The thought of being set-up beginning to race through his mind, anger and adrenaline starting to flood into his veins - ready for whatever lurked, if there was anything, in the shadows.

Jinxx could see a visible reaction from Judiah of something she couldn't see. He looked unsettled. Unsure. This, in turn, unsettled her. "Everybody be quiet," he ordered, and she did, even holding her breath to hear anything over the screech and howl of the winds that tunneled throughout the trees. Nothing. Silence. She took a few cautious steps toward her temporary boss and her coworker. She glanced down at Kaelen and then up at Judiah. If worst came to worst she would protect them both with all of her ability.
It would be the noble thing to swear to protect them with her life, but she had alot to live for. Either way, this was a suicide mission. This was a perfect night for creeping cultists to emerge from the howling winds and strike down upon the unsuspecting, frozen band of horses who couldn't even try to hear them coming their way.
"Stay close." She said very quietly to Kaelen and Judiah, all while eyeing the new acquaintances. No one was to be trusted her.

Checkpoint 1: You’ve discussed your options, and you’ve decided to make camp; there's not much sense in traipsing about half frozen in a night snow, after all. But sometimes good sense still isn't enough to keep you safe, not in the mountains, as suddenly there’s an ominous rumbling from higher up the mountain. Avalanche! You scatter, but two of you [volunteer] are caught in the deadly wall of snow. [Next 2 characters to post are pulled in to avalanche]

Kaelen | Vagabond Mercenary
Setting up the camp was rather quick, easy. He didn't talk much, nobody but Judiah really talked much actually. As they sat about the camp fire, Kaelen sat exceptionally close, trying to warm himself as much as possible before the wind eventually took the flames out. He listened to everyone talking, socializing, and occasionally looked over to Bates sitting a little further away from everyone. Kaelen knew Bates was trying not to lash out at him, he knew he didn't favor Vagabonds. There wasn't much Kaelen could do about that, so he decided to just keep the silent bridge between them intact. Just as Kaelen was about to reach for a swig of cider, Judiah told everyone to be silent. Kaelen ducked his head low, instantly crouching to the ground as though he were stalking prey. He had done this many times, and now was fairly good at remaining deathly still.
Suddenly a twig snapped, the echo from the small sound resonating through the woods, bouncing off the tree trunks and landing smack bam in Kaelen's ears. His head swiveled rapidly to the source of the sound, brows narrowing and eyes squinting through the dark. There was nothing.
Then suddenly, there was everything.
A large growl traveled down the mountain, deep rumbles and larger snaps of branches and whole trees. Kaelen watched in horror as a large white cloud of snow and ice fell violently down the side of the mountain next to the woods. His eyes widened and his maw snapped open, "Avalanche!" He yelled, "Run!" With every ounce of strength he had, Kaelen jumped to his feet, but he wasn't quick enough and in a split second he felt himself being carried, thrown and pulled by the extreme force of the tumbling snow. Cold surrounded him as he tried to keep his head above the avalanche, for he knew that if he went under, he would not come back up. He could do nothing but let the snow carry him as he flailed, trying to dodge trunks and rocks that the snow was rapidly seeping through. He could see Bates, Aaron and Judiah through gaps in the trees, but they were too far for Kaelen's voice to reach. So he did not yell.
Then, everything went black. His head had been swung into the trunk of a tree, and he now lay limp, like a ragdoll, in the avalanche's grasp. Unconscious and unsure of whether he would make it out of this alive.

Vagabond | Jinxx | Mercenary
White. Blinding white. It was all Jinxx could see. All she could hear was deafening rumbling and the occasional scream from an unrecognized source. She was tossed and turned in it powdery, ice cold grasp. Her legs twisted as she tried to reach up and escape, maybe climb her way out from the rapidly moving banks of snow but found herself completely exhausted in seconds, and moving was like slow motion, trapped in a gelatin mold. An icey gelatin mold.
Then it stopped, and everything was still and quiet and dark. And she could have fallen asleep, easily, drifted into an endless, ice cold sleep where pain couldnt find her. But survival mode launched itself and she emerged from the snow, wildly gasping. Her chest felt constricted and her brain screamed 'get out!'. Quickly, she attempted to unbury herself. The snow swallowed her relentlessly until she was finally able to breath in the cold, snapping air. Her lungs welcomed it.
"Help...." She called in a hoarse voice, barely audible.

War-Forged | Aaron | RaiderEverything was set up, it was quite a quick task great fully. Everyone was chatting away, Judiah was still a bright sprite but the others were not so much. Bates still didn't talk. But Aaron thought it was pretty good that the vagabonds didn't talk to much. They are complete ass's. It made sense that no one really liked them around. Out of nowhere Judiah shooshed us. Looking into the thick fog to see if he could hear anything. Aaron pricked his ears and looked there also. At first there was nothing but the wind, until the sound of twigs snapping was heard.
Those snapping became breaking Aaron jumped to his feet as the white cloud came rumbling down, taking everything in its path. Aaron ran out of the was followed by Judiah and Bates. Once they where in a slight safe zone Aaron looked back, to see the white cloud continuing past, but no sign of vagabonds. Aaron sighed in relief that he's still here. " that was a close call.. For us. Your vagabonds didn't make it though." Aaron said to Judiah. He wanted the snow to see anything, a possible horse or not. But there were no signs of anything. It was clear to Aaron that they would have to find them, or they would die. Ashame, it wouldn't be to sad if the vagabonds died?

War-Forged | Bates | Raider
Attention from all five horses snapped to the loud purring of the mountain, Avalanche, his pale blue eyes widened as snow quickly engulfed the clearing - everyone had seemed to scatter, although the two mercenaries that Judiah had hired were caught in the snow’s grasp. Bates, had luckily been closer to the forest so he clung onto a large pine which worked in his favor, his eyes locking onto one individual that was swept away a moment after the first, Jinxx, was it?
The draft eased his grip on the tree as the avalanche settled a few minutes after, snorting in relief, his ears perking up as Aaron spoke. “Indeed. It seems Onea has plucked intruders from it’s skin yet again.” Bates chuffed, his face held a stern, serious, expression, his eyebrows vaguely cocking upward, “These individuals do not belong, Judiah. Nor will they ever.” He coldly stated, flicking his short pale tail momentarily in thought, “However, they have served you well, I assume, so I will offer my services as they have to you.” The draft decided, grudgingly, not too keen on the idea of helping others that were not of his herd, much less Vagabonds. “The mare, I briefly kept track of her - the colt, I am oblivious to.” Bates snorted, hinting that he was planning on retrieving the petite mare unless told otherwise. “What are your thoughts, Judiah. They are yours, not ours.” He half-asked and half-asserted, unsure of what was racing through the dark stallion’s mind as of now; did he even want to retrieve his pets? That’d be much more convenient for the three of them, the snow would asphyxiate them if they decided on leaving them in the snow; or took too long to recoup.

Judiah | Travelling Merchant
Judiah had barely any time to react before the great white hands of snow had caught them in it's grasp. It wasn't too bad, but if they had been closer to the mountain? He could note dare to think where they would be now. Judiah lost his footing as the snow tumbled and pushed them around, spreading them out. He saw Jinxx briefly, but quickly lost sight of her as he was thrown about. When the snow finally came to a stop, Judiah breathed heavily , half submerged in the heavy snow. He lay there for a moment, his head spinning as he tried to collect his thoughts. Bates voice brought him back to reality, his vision finally returning to one solid image. His head was still pounding, but with a groan he rose, shaking the snow from his fur. He shook his head slightly, checking to make sure his horns weren't cracked or broken.
“These individuals do not belong, Judiah. Nor will they ever" Bates words echoed slightly as his ears finally stopped ringing, Judiah's eye narrowing. He raised his head and stepped up to Bates, almost matching his height. He narrowed his eyes, his golden gaze piercing into Bates "Not ever vagabond is a murder, Bates. The people of Onea need to realize this," He spoke in a low tone, ears back "and it is ever so kind of you to offer your help," his voice was filled with spite "but if it's going to pain you so to help me find my comrades, you can go and set up another camp" he finished, breathing heavily still. He turned away and began to walk towards the aftermath of the avalanche, head low as he sniffed and listened to the snow, listening hard for any sign of his vagabond companions. He hated ever using a tone like that, but the people in Onea needed to realize that not everyone wanted to stab them in the back.

Vagabond | Jinxx | Mercenary
Jinx closed her eyes, the snow covering them stung her anyways. How could she have ever liked this stuff? It was cold and stung her and made her skim numb and trembling. The last time she had been in snow and actually liked it, was with her father. Shortly after she left her parents and teamed up with him they took a trip into war forged territory. Gentle snow flakes greeted them like little floating stars with smiles. She remembered licking them off her lips like sugar, sweet and cold on her tongue.
"This is fun!" Jinxx called to Draco as she stomped around in the crunchy white powder, secretly wishing her younger brother was there to enjoy it too.
"No im alright." He said with a smirk, leaning on a tree and watching her with a warm smile.
"Party pooper!" She said, sticking her tongue out, all while still dancing in the cold white flakes.
Memories like those made her feel happy and warm, but dead and cold all at the same time. They made her remember what was good in life, all while reminding her that it could all be taken away just as quickly as it was received.

War-Forged | Aaron | Raider
Aaron looked at Judiah, "I must agree with Bates, Vagabonds do not belong here. Nor will they ever." he watched the snow trying to find any form of life. It was going to be very difficult to find the vagabonds. but as Bates said he would help if needed. "I will also help if need be. Although vagabonds don't belong here they still hold a life and shouldn't be killed this way." he looked at Judiah once again then back to bates. Time was very important now. If they don't make it to the horses in time they could have serious problems. Taking a deep breath in Aaron spoke up. "I'll start to do some searching. They will die soon if we sit here arguing." Aaron took a few cautious steps on the fresh snow. Listening for any muffling or moving. Putting Aaron's hoof gently on the snow he dug small holes. To see if he can find anyone with in the thick layer.
He continued down here the snow fell, trying to find anyone. His large hoofs made a obvious crunch sound on the snow. Hoping that if one of the vagabonds were near that they could hear it.

War-Forged | Bates | Raider
Bates emitted a scoff as Judiah approached him, briefly sizing him up, listening to the words that seethed from his mouth, “I have not once said that they were murderers throughout our meeting. We were made for snow, they for whatever terrain they originate from.” He retorted, clenching his jaws slightly as he addressed the assumption Judiah had thrown in his face, no matter how accurate it was he hadn’t mentioned such, “It’d be wise for you not to jump to conclusions, Judiah.” He warned, blue eyes burning back into his gold ones, watching as he heaved with anger before him.
However, Bates snapped out of the stand-off as soon as Aaron, wisely, mentioned wasting time while they could’ve been searching for Kaelen and Jinxx, “I will help you find them, only because I fear that it will pain your conscious if we don’t more than it will pain mine.” The draft spat venomously, a subtle insult hidden in his words, and with that he left the dark unicorn to bathe in his thoughts.
The large draft sauntered through the snow with extreme care, navigating his way over to the last place he saw Jinxx above the snow, lowering his head to the thick layer of snow to sniff and huff at; all the while, listening for any breathing besides his own.

Kaelen | Vagabond Mercenary
Cold and darkness was all Kaelen had where he was. Was he dead? Was this what it felt like? Staring into a void, floating endlessly in empty space as a thick black liquid seems to seethe through him from the inside out. Until he is nothing but his surroundings, decomposed, forgotten. He could feel nothing, his entire body was numb, but his mind was quite the opposite. He was slowly but surely awakening from his unconscious state, and his mind had begun to un-blur. It was the only thing he could do, the only thing that felt real. His thoughts. It was him and his mind. He figured if Bates and Aaron were still standing, they would waste no time on trying to find Kaelen. Why would they? He was a pest in their eyes, it's just the way they had been taught. Then his mind flickered to Jinxx and Judiah, the two who may have bothered to search for him. Where were they? Did they even make it out? Was he the only one stuck here in this icy prison? He didn't know, but he continued asking himself. It was the only thing he could do.
A sudden burst of pain exploded through Kaelen's skin, tissue and bone before settling in the base of his head. The adrenaline had worn off from his prior injury, and now lay a profound pounding pain. Why, why did he have to be numb everywhere but the place he didn't want to feel? After what felt like an eternity, Kaelen could feel something. A breeze, on his leg and muzzle. They must have been out of the snow, quite obviously or Kaelen would have suffocated a long time ago. His nostrils were working, moving and trying to suck in as much breath as possible. Frost bite had nipped at his nose, leaving raw scabs and yet another pain for him to worry about. He tried to move the leg protruding from the earth, but the circulation in it had been slowly cut off and now it was swollen, useless.
Now he had one way to get someone's attention, but it would take some time for him to be able to use his vocal chords, as his voice box had begun to shut down from the sheer cold. He grunted, yelped and huffed as much as he could, throat stinging every time he did. He wanted so badly to just stop, to just lay quiet, still. But this was his only chance, and he didn't desire dying here- despite how much he hated the world he lived in. His weak lungs held in cool air before pushing it back out with small, insignificant sounds. His tongue was dry and felt bruised, he must have bitten it when he'd hit his head. 'Enough. You have to yell, you have to. There's no other way.'
"Heeel... he-help! Help!" He yelled before everything for him went blank again.

War-Forged | Aaron | Raider
As the large horse walked around, sniffing the floor moving snow he suddenly heard a call of help. Head shooting up quickly he carefully walked over to where he heard the call. Digging up the snow fast but carefully he saw the numb limp body that was below him. Aaron moved around carefully putting his muzzle under the stallion and trying to ift him up. He didn't want to hurt him as he was already bleeding from his head. That would need attention, "Can you move?" Aaron asked. As he couldn't do all the work, Kaylen needed to do some also. He couldn't believe that he was helping the stallion, he should have been left to die. But as they where Judiah's companions so both Bates and Aaron thought it would be good to help find them.
The stromg cold winds still went on, snow was being blassted around and getting caught in Aaron's eyelashes. Aaron continued to move his muzzle down the side of the stallion to slowly lift him. Hoping that he has enough strenght to help himself. Out of the corner of Aaron's eye he could see Bates searching for the last victim to the avalanches attack.
