Corrine Talorian Grand Cleric
It had been a long few months, and Corrine swore she found a few grey hairs within her locks. It was enough to make her huff with resentment. The Flock had taken over Aquore, but they would not be held down for long. All around them the equine of Talori had worked to rid them of the rats that dared to climb from the backwaters to take over their homeland. Corirne shook her head, but the long months brought them to this very precious moment.
The group had been successful in getting into the palace. The mission was simple enough rescue the Divine, bring her to her people. Let the healing begin for them all. Corrine can only imagine what injustices had become of their beloved Divine and it was enough to make the mare ready to race off in her chariot. But thoughts were so much easier than to act it out. To follow through, still the team was here. Corrine looked to them all and nodded lightly. “We must find the Divine quickly. To find the best way to seek her, and get her out of this place and back with us.” she remarked in soft voice afraid if her voice raised a key it would allow all to know of their presence. Eyes glanced to them and offered a soft smile. “We will bring her home, but we need a plan and best be quick.” she whispered out to them all.

REESE (NPC) Freedom's Flight
All this happened too fast for anyone's liking, and Reese blew out a long, slow breath, watching it unfold through the corner of a clouded window in the Palace hall. It was eerily quiet and echo-y under the high ceilings compared to the roars outside.
They guessed it was only a matter of time.
They were not meant for battle in the sunlight. Years of being Perseus's aid meant Reese existed in the shadows, a small dark recruit sneaking among Talori boundaries looking for recruits. Their entire job was to stay low, stay quiet, stay knowledgable.
But suddenly the massive uproar of a rogue band of Talori equines meant they had to stand taller than their short stature, assume roles they had previously never considered.
Blasted fish mongrels.
Reese could see through a gritty side window that the group of stood at the entrance, stolid, unmoving. A gold-and-white mare was talking to them at large. Squinting, Reese could even see green feathers on someone's body.
They swore, openly. But no time to dwell on the recruit that could have been.
Turning, Reese looked at the mass of Flight members behind them. A brief scan over the group- who had all huddled in here for some semblance of safety or protection, they guessed- and Reese realized with a sinking feeling that none of them were fighters. None of them.
They swore again.
No time to assess each one for their abilities, either. The two closest to the front would have the unfortunate pleasure of serving as defenders.
"You!" they barked. Two mares. Small mares. The blue roan maybe a pinch taller than him. No matter. "Come with me!"
And strident, without bothering to look behind them to see if the pair followed, they raised their wings and trotted lightly down the stone hallway.

Luna When will I see you again? The last three months had been a wreck to her already sensitive nerves and even now she trembled. Her Divine was in there, hidden somewhere deep in the bowels of the palace. She had spent weeks undercover, serving her people as she gathered information and built trust with the Flight. It hadn’t been easy but she supposed that what came next wasn’t going to be any easier.
Though blatantly nervous, her eyes were warm as she glanced around her group. Familiar faces greeted her from past meetings, each one growing more life harrowing than the last. Even William whistled a low greeting to those he’d seen before.
Luna focused on Corrine’s words, a grim yet determined expression setting over her face. Perhaps this is what Cascade had planned for her all along, she thought. The necklace the Goddess had given her still hung around her neck, settling neatly against her breast. Some days, Luna even imagined that it hummed with energy.
Stepping forward, Luna dipped her head politely to the rest of the group before taking the lead.
“I worked for Emperor Hawkeye, I know the palace like the back of my hoof.” Glancing nervously at the other horses standing, she swallowed shakily before focusing back on Corrine. “If you’ll allow me, I can lead us to where she is.”
Glancing up quickly, Luna was only reminded that this was the new nesting ground for the Flock. There was bound to be guards all over the place.
“We should hurry though, I don’t believe any of us want to be caught.”
Certainly not us, Luna thought, glancing at Abinadi.

Cupid
She was born to be a lover to make people's life better and to chase sunsets
Deep breath, stead your mind, steady your emotions. She told herself as she schooled her features, she had this far away look in her eyes, but on the inside there was a war that matched the battle outside. her sense of duty made her want to reach out, to heal to touch minds to make believers out of the dying. She wanted to be of use and felt neglectful here. Still she remained where she was supposed to her, her small frame steady as she fought the urge to shake. Alya help them all.
The voice of Reese made her turn her head, he called them to follow, and she wondered should she truly follow? Glancing to the other that was called Octavia and gave a light nod. Cupid took a steady breath and small legs seemed to trot to keep up with the others. Eyes glanced up at Reese. "What am I needed for?" she asked curiously. Was someone hurt, was that why she was called forwards, what of Octavia? Cupid gulped faintly as she kept her face schooled, emotions blank and she remained steadfast, she would not fail.

Moree || Cleric || Post One
Moree could hardly believe that they had managed to infiltrate the palace, let alone as easily as they had accomplished it. She knew that finding a way through the palace to the Divine, even with Luna's promise of intimate knowledge of the inner layout, would be much more difficult than their journey had proven to be thus far. Even if Luna could wind her way through the palace with her eyes closed, that didn't take into account the amount or Flight guards that could be lurking behind every wall. Mo was less than pleased to imagine what might happen should the Talorians might the Flight come across them. What had the poor Divine suffered under their control? What might happen to her should the Flight discover that she was the object of a rescue mission?
The repeated urging to hurry worried Moree to some degree. Although she managed rather well with her prosthetic limb, she wasn't the most graceful, or the quickest equine. In fact, she had wondered what exact reason she had been chosen for the mission. Not that she wasn't honored to be a part of the rescue, but it was concerning to the young Appaloosa that she might become dead weight should this mission take a turn for the worse. She was certain that she would never live down the guilt, if the group ended up living at all. "Lead on," was all she said aloud, choosing to keep her worries to herself for the time being.

Alcaeus Freedom Flight
It would be moronic to assume Talori wouldn’t fight back against their bonds. The Flock would not be met without resistance; their hold would surely be tested. He had grown up in Talori, it wouldn’t be a spirit that was easily broken. But knowing all of that previously didn’t sooth the sting from seeing the other side kick back, to feel the ropes of restraints be shaken. He didn’t live his life fighting, the phenomenon was new, raised and lived as a Brewer, but it didn’t make him soft when it came to the chaos around him. His dissatisfaction and discomfort were the only things to show throw to his exterior. He didn’t expect to be in the palace of all places when things unfolded, but he didn’t leave when the commotion started; someone had to defend it. Logic told him that it would need to be heavily guarded, if not the most out of the area; it was a strong-hold with prisoners, after all. So despite the things against him, knowing that being inside was a disadvantage to his wings, he stayed. When Alcaeus spotted Reese - a Flight recruiter, his attention automatically shifted. The other’s attention was directed at a pair of horses, two mares that weren’t him. He then watched Reese turn around to leave in a hurry. Alcaeus’ instinct to follow kicked in immediately, and without a pause to question his actions, he was following the lead of the other Pegasus.

Nimhue
Nimhue still wasn’t sure how she had gotten here. Somehow she had survived, no doubt thanks to Cascade’s protection. The temple had been a haven. Now she was scrambling in the palace, all wobly legs and hushed whispers. She wasn’t sure how she’d gotten here at all. Perhaps it was Cascade’s will. Her guidance. One moment someone was speaking of maybe knowing where their Divine is, next they’re trying to set her free. Nimhue adored their Divine and she hoped the mare was okay. She supossed she wanted to help in anyway she could.
Her legs trembled as they stopped, her rescuers-in-crime whispering. A plan? “What sort of plan?” she whispered back.
This wasn’t one of her strenghts. She eyed the ones around her. They were a ragtag band. One seated in a wheelcart. Another with a prostethic leg. She and her unsteady limbs shouldn’t complain about strenght. She should have faith in Cascade’s wisdom. She mumbled a quiet prayer, wondering about the rest from the temple. She wondered about Zeph. She prayed for everyone’s safety and for succes. She prayed because at the moment she didn’t know what else to do.

ABINADI PHILOSOPHER Abinadi would have preferred to remain clear of the conflict best he could. Upon being approached and propositioned to serve as a reconnaissance agent of sorts, he found himself in the midst of it all. Even so, he was not so worried as he was for Luna, the servant who so well knew the palace and so often found herself in the company of the terrorists. At least, as the keeper of the Temple, a mere philosopher who taught and prayed within its walls, he was not so exposed as she to the usurpers. Now as the grand cleric, Corrine, alluded them to the proper plans they had (which were hardly structured in a manner expected of such a mission), Abinadi found himself looking amongst the group. Perhaps they were not the best of the lot, old or physically challenged, but their shortcomings must have some aide in the field, even if they were merely to make them appear less threatening. Not that they were threatening. At all. But Abinadi was sound in his thought. It was less likely the Flight would willingly slaughter or further maim any of them, even so he worried. “I trust Luna to bring us throughout the halls efficiently. We must have someone who does not mind diverting attention though, lest we be found.” He was quiet for a moment before flicking an ear, “I could be it, it is less likely I am to outrun any pursuit, and though I may have more severe consequences, I have led a long life. I do not fear much of what they could bring against me.”Now he looked up, eyes scanning their perimeter. “We must go now though, we don’t have time to hash anything else out, do we?”

Corrine Grand Cleric of TaloriIm a series of small victories and large defeats and I am as amazed as any other that I have gotten from there to here Corrine looked to their small group and looked to Luna as she spoke and allowed others a chance to speak, and ask a few questions. Her heart was beginning to beat rapidly, they have stayed her for too long, it was going to get easier for them to get caught if they keep this up. "Luna, please lead the way. I fear we have stayed still for too long." she urged the group to move forwards. Sending mental prayers to Cascade to watch other them, and allow them to get their Divine back.
Eyes glanced to Abinadi as they spoke, they lived a good life, and well Corrine would try her best to assure they all made it out and was able to see another day "Stay together, have each others back. We were given this chance to get our Divine and we will make the most of it." Corrine moved forwards, giving a soft thanks she was able to get a better mobility cart since last time. Something more sturdy and she did not fear the wheels would come undone on this. "Quickly now." she hushed out to them.

octavia I FEEL THE PAGES TURNING I SEE THE CANDLE BURNING DOWN
Breathe. She swore her heart pounded more fiercely than the battle raging outside, her chest aching from its force. Octavia willed herself to be at ease, but the prayer was useless. Bodies shifted, huddling together for any semblance of safety as the fighting continued. It had only been a few months since the last time explosions rained down upon Aquore, and it seemed to be a cruel trick of fate that the Flight could not escape them. Her wings brushed against that of another’s as Reese called to her - and Octavia felt her stomach drop. Her mouth ran dry as she looked from both Cupid to Reese and back again, a silent, incredulous question; me?!Any attempt to back out would be futile, however, as Reese had already turned to lead them away. With a deep inhale she trotted along behind the pegasus, and though she did not speak, she swore they could hear her hammering heartbeat. She instead chose to focus on Cupid’s words, her own mind racing frantically, one thought plauging her in particular - was she meant to fight? Alya help us._________________

Thalassa Talorian ClericThere is a swelling storm, and I'm caught up in the middle of it all
The spotted cleric glanced around the small group, taking in each one of the faces gathered for the attempted rescue of the Divine. She knew many of the faces personally, some better than others. Mostly clerics, as Thalassa would have expected for such a mission, though a few devout and brave souls from other walks of life had also joined in as well, bringing with them a wealth of knowledge that would most certainly prove useful. She listened as the party spoke quietly, attempting to remain patient while Eve's life remained in limbo. It was difficult to say the least, but she knew in her heart rushing in without at least some discussion would only cause more issues... Especially with so many of their number dealing with physical disabilities... The mare's eyes flicked from Corrine to Nimhue and Moree. While usually she might try and advise them to stay behind, each and everyone of them had proven their worth in the past few months and Thalassa was proud to stand beside them. Even still, she would keep an extra eye out for them, just in case. Talk of plans ranged from Luna's intimate knowledge of the palace, to Abinadi and Serenity's offer to act as a distraction should the need arise. Thalassa couldn't help but feel even more thankful for them than she already did, offering them both a nod of acknowledgement before Corrine spoke again, urging the party forward. As Luna and Corrine took the lead, Thalassa fell in place near the back of the group, keeping an eye out for anything or anyone who might try to take them by surprise. While she wasn't a fighter by any stretch of the imagination, months of living in the wilds had made her tougher and more capable than she had ever been. That coupled with the blessing Cascade had bestowed upon her made the mare at least somewhat confident she could delay an attack or attempt to capture the small group. "Serenity," She spoke the younger mare's name gently, "Would you be willing to help me bring up the rear and watch for an ambush?"

Moree || Cleric || Post Two
Moree was more than relieved to begin moving, as the thought of standing around waiting to be caught and slaughtered was just the slightest bit unappealing. The more ground the rescue team covered, the better chance they had of surviving their mission. Retrieving the Divine would bring a rush of hope back to the Talorian survivors, not to mention that she was the herd's closest tie to their Goddess. If anyone could interperate instructions from the Wave Mother, it was Eve. Despite the fact that Moree had only met the mare once, at her dedication ceremony, and had been terrified of the gray mare's intense stare, her earnest urging that Moree's gift be used to serve her herd, she was wholeheartedly supportive of bringing the Divine to safety. As she limped along, Moree turned the memory of meeting Eve over and over in her mind. Something about it seemed important...
Mo's ear flicked back automatically, as she heard Thalissa ask for help bringing up the rear. An ambush was most certainly something to be cautious of. What would the group do should they be intercepted? By mulling over the problem, Moree suddenly felt the memory's importance click. Her blessing! Despite her youth, Moree was skilled at the art of intangibility, and could even phase other horses and objects alongside her, as long as she was touching them.
Quietly, so as not to alert other horses, not related to the rescue group, she spoke. "When we reach the Divine, let me walk beside her," Mo stated. " I can phase through a wall, or a floor, with her, should we need to escape quickly."

Nimhue
Brewer | Female
Nimhue mostly listened as the others planned. She wasn't used getting a say in things, usually told what to do or even guided in things she attempted herself. A lesser point that came with her physical condition she guessed. Horses expected more from her sister. Nimhue again wondered where she was, where Seneca was. She had asked Cascade to keep them both safe and now she had to make sure she herself would be all right as well.
Other were offering to be a distraction, but she thought she'd make a poor one, so it was no use offering such thing on her own part. Eventually Grand Cleric Corrine ushered them onwards, telling them to move. Nimhue couldn't help but agree. The more time they took, the more chances they'd have to be caught. She hurried to follow, looking at the horses around her. She looked at Luna, who had said she knew the palace well. "Do you know the divine, well?" she whispered curiously.
She tried to stick close to Abinadi, feeling the safest around him. He was not only who she knew best, but a stallion as well and that made her feel all the better.

Corrine Grand Cleric of TaloriIm a series of small victories and large defeats and I am as amazed as any other that I have gotten from there to here Perhaps worry had been a constant companion to the Grand Cleric as of late. It seemed to always be there like her own shadow lingering. All Corrine could think was something was wrong. Things were becoming a bit too smoothly for them all? Corrine glanced down as they moved onward, at times she would check a door, unlocked, and clear. It made the cleric ponder on this. It made her feel uneasy all the more. It was as a bit more quiet then to be expected here in the temple. Yet Corrine tried her best to remain strong as Luna and herself lead the group onward.
A fault in the step made Corrine stop abruptly before them. Before them was a make shift barricade clearly meant to keep anyone out. To ruin their chance of getting in there. Her heart beat began to quiver a bit, but her face stared at the structure and snorted. "We have to try and make a way for use to get through this. Try your best to be as quiet as we can. We cant allow others a chance to hear or know we are this close." Corrine remarked to the team. They had been down these halls the only way to go was forwards it seemed and it meant trying to get through this makeshift barricade. Corrine moved a bit to the side to allow others to move around her as she took a side near the way and slowly tried to remove bits and pieces, trying her best to be quiet and not alert anyone of their presence. Yet all Corrine could manage to think was to hurry, their Divine needed them. They needed her. Corrine sighed, with a faint snort she began to work a bit faster assuring she moved precise and quickly like a needle to a wound.

Luna removed William from her shawl, a soft smile on her face as she addressed her familiar. “Fly ahead and keep watch for any guards.” With a soft whistle, he flew off into the corridor.
Her attention was pulled away from him as Nimhue came to her side, shaking her head at the other mare’s words.
“I only knew the Emperor. I never had much time to meet the Divine,” her voice was sad as she spoke. Time seemed to be the only thing she didn’t have, as important as it was to the herd. She never had enough time with her parents nor her late fiance. Her time working beside the Emperor had seemed so short before the attacks happened. The thoughts might have brought a tear to her eye if she’d been alone but she couldn’t allow herself to fall to weakness here. Her Divine depended on her.
The empty hallways seemed eerie and too suspicious. Surely there would have been guards posted nearer to the entrance? Perhaps they were too busy guarding the Divine and it would be a straight shot there.
The short hope she had vanished as the group came upon a barrier. Of course, she couldn’t be so naive to believe that the path would be clear. Glancing at Corrine as the mare moved forward and spoke, Luna nodded gravely.
Following Corrine’s example, she began pulling apart pieces of the barrier, her ears angled back to listen for any approaching hooves or William’s warning whistle.

Moree || Cleric || Post Three
As the group slinked towards their destination, a handful of them remarked upon the ease of the journey, and its suspicious nature. They didn’t express this feeling with words necessarily, but Mo, being a sturdily empathetic creature, could feel it in their body language and expression. Suddenly, it became clear that their journey would be none too easy after all. Amassed before them, a collection of rubble loomed, blocking any conceivable forward locomotion. Sighing, Moree let her vivid blue gaze linger on the blockade, wondering how much time they had to get through it before they were discovered. As one of the familiars flew off overhead, she felt a slight twinge of relief. At least they wouldn’t be totally unarmed and taken by surprise. Nestled amongst the folds of her mane, her own winged snake hid, waiting until she was needed to reveal herself. The soft, dry scales of her underbelly were welcoming to her mistress, and served to calm Moree’s nerves.
Stepping forward, the palomino mare cleared her throat quietly, attempting to gain the group’s attention without alerting anyone else. “We don’t have to clear a path,” she announced, looking at Corrine as she spoke. “I was blessed with intangibility at birth. As long as a horse is touching me, say grabbing my tail in their teeth, I can walk us both through that wall,” she offered. “If anyone walks past, they won’t be alarmed by a barrier with a gaping hole in it either.” With this, she fell silent, glancing at the other rescuers for their thoughts.

REESE (NPC) Freedom's Flight
There was a third set of hoofbeats padding after them. Reese turned their head imperceptibly, just enough to peek at the addition. The draft Alcaeus was plodding after them. Reese swore; the two lightfooted mares could keep quiet, but a draft's heavy steps could betray them all.
Cupid posed a question. Reese ignored her.
One of the intruders had mentioned the Divine. Reese had heard them through the window, muffled but obvious.
Truth be told, Reese only knew that the Divine was in here somewhere. They weren't sure of her exact location, or situation, or circumstances, and they certainly didn't know whether she had been moved once Talori decided to go for a spin at the Palace.
But Reese did learn the corridors and hallways fairly quickly once they'd been placed here, and the group of Talori loyalists were most likely about to hit the barrier in the curved east hallway, if they hadn't already.
Something flew over their heads.
A flash of green, a small parrot? whistled past the group, and disappeared in an instant. Reese blinked, stopped, stared at the space above where the bird had just been. The walls were silent.
That could mean anything. The barrier could be down. Doors could be open. Or damn them all, the bird could be a changeling.
Reese glared at the Flight members, wordlessly ordering them to stop and be still. They cocked an ear.
"Clear..... path...."
Goddammit.
They rolled their tongue over their teeth, thinking, staring wordlessly at a cold torch hanging above them before talking again.
"Okay, listen." They spoke in a low whisper, at the bare minimum for catching. "We aren't Strikers. They aren't either, by the looks of them. They want the Divine." They pulled their wings close to their body. "We aren't going to fight unless they strike first. We're going to tease them."
Their eyes flashed suddenly, their voice a low hiss "Do NOT let them get to the heart of the Palace. I don't know where the Divine is right now, but they're a virus; if one finds a way in, they all will."
They didn't need to add the last part. Then it's all over.
They looked at the faces- two wide-eyed mares, one staunch Alcaeus- and Reese dipped their head, not waiting for anyone to respond before unfurling their wings and lifting themselves into the air.
"Find them." They turned in the direction the bird had come from, and flew absolutely silently down the hallway.

Cupid
She was born to be a lover to make people's life better and to chase sunsets
Eyes narrowed ever softly as Reese decided to ignore her question. How impeccably rude, she thought, but remained trotting along with the larger equine, her two steps keeping up with their one. Still she would like to know why she was called forth by Reese. It wasn't as if she was asking for the secrets deep within his mind, just wondering what was going on. A terrible leader, she presumed to herself. His lack of willing to communicate was already showing quiet terribly. Cupid had to wonder if it stemmed off from something else.
Suddenly Reese called for them to halt and Cupid glanced around looking at their small makeshift group. A brow arose as Reese began to speak, as if he knew they weren't all fighters, Cupid would like to say it was wrong to judge by looks. Anyone could be a fighter if brought to it. Though at least he managed to speak something worth of value of not wanting to fight. Something Cupid almost let out a sigh of relief from, the tension she didnt realize she was holding in her shoulders began to fade.
Though then he spoke telling them to tease them to try to lure them here or there and Cupid was already shaking her head. This wasn't a good plan, if none knew where the Divine was, they could lure them straight to the Divine. They were already in, if one group was in, who said there was not another group slowly creeping in? Cupid felt the uneasiness within the pit of her stomach. Before she had a chance to object Reese told them all to find them and he was in the air. "Reese." she almost hissed out. Cupid looked to Alcaeus and Ocativa, wondering if they too would take flight and descend upon the group within the palace walls. Cupid snorted, she swore if they managed to do the thing, she promised to give Reese an earful. Unfolding her wings Cupid took a few quick beats of her wings and soon she was following after Reese and this ridiculous plan of cat and mouse.

octavia I FEEL THE PAGES TURNING I SEE THE CANDLE BURNING DOWN
Octavia followed behind Reese silently, though she did flinch as the draft’s hooves hit the polished floor. She was on high alert, but she was most certainly unprepared for any sort of physical attack. That was not her job, and had she not been so on edge she’d be angry. The roan stopped short when Reese paused, and Octavia pinned her ears back as they spoke. Were they serious? She wondered if her face bore the horror and bewilderment she felt inside. This was a goddamn suicide mission. She had heard the voices, and she didn’t doubt the Talorians were far better equipped then they were. Cupid was braver in vocalizing her anger, but once more she was ignored. Octavia met her gaze, but had no words to offer her. She turned to glance at Alcaeus, and it seemed they were all desperate for reassurance from one another, but again, no one could offer the other anything of comfort. Octavia inhaled as both Reese and Cupid took off, and after hesitating for a few seconds, she too was flying after them. _________________

Nimhue
Talori | Brewer
Nimhue tried to be quiet as she walked, but it was a difficult thing when she was concentrating keeping her feet steady. Every sound seemed so loud it ennerved her, afraid that she’d give them away to the enemy. She was tired of walking and it was showing. She almost wished she had a mobility cart such as Grand Cleric Corrine. There was no used in wallowing in it though. She needed to be strong for her Divine.
They came to a halt. Nimhue frowned as a barrier laid before them and she was unsure how to proceed. Could they get through without making too much noise? Moree offered a solution and Nimhue was both awed and envious. To be blessed by Cascade, it was her deeped wish. Again it was their goddess who offered the solution in this situation, having given just the right blessing to just the right horse. It must clearly have been foreseen, the wave mother a master of time after all. She smiled, giving her thanks silently.
“How many can you get through at a time?” Nimhue questioned softly, trying to gauge the situation. It sounded like a good plan. “Are there any risks?”

Thalassa Talorian ClericThere is a swelling storm, and I'm caught up in the middle of it all
The mare beamed as she overheard Moree speak up, offering to help phase the little search part past the barricade. It was good to see the younger cleric really come into her own, especially with the blessing Cascade had bestowed upon her. She continued to listen to the conversation behind her as the others chimed in, asking how many could pass through the barrier at once, what the risks were, etc. It seemed like a solid enough plan to Thalassa, but then again she had watched Moree grow into the talented mare that stood here today and had nothing but the utmost confidence in the younger cleric's abilities. Still, she kept her mouth shut, choosing instead to keep an eye on the hallway the group had just previously walked down. The barrier had her on edge as it was, and up until this point, everything had seemed just a bit too easy. Not that Thalassa was one to question the blessings of the gods, but something about the whole situation made the spotted mare uneasy. It didn't take long for her uneasiness to manifest into something more. Three winged equines rounded the corner at the end of the hall, flying towards the party with incredible speed. Thalassa's mind raced as she conjured up a wall of ice, separating the assailants from her party. "Whatever we are going to do, we need to do quickly! We have company and there's no guarantee my ice wall will hold for long, or even be able to stop them!" Her voice was urgent as she spoke, pleading desperately with her eyes. They weren't fighters, not by a long shot, and Thalassa was convinced there had already been enough casualties for one day.

Moree || Cleric || Post Four
It was nice, Moree had to admit, as the other horses turned their attention to her, but the rush of importance proved to be a bit more attention than the mare felt was necessary, and she blushed hotly under her coat. Clearing her head with a tiny shake, Mo attempted to focus on what was being asked of her. How many horses could she take at once? As long as they were all touching her...there should be no trouble getting them all through the wall. It would be faster than going one at a time, and it would take as much energy out of her, whether it was all at once or one by one. She was just about to speak when a group of pegasi appeared, speeding towards the group of rescuers. With quick thinking, Thalissa threw up a dividing wall of ice, which bought the group a few moments of respite.
Moree's heart was pounding in her ears, but her words were clear as she spoke again. "We need to get past that wall, NOW," she stated, a bit obviously. "As long as everyone is touching me, I can get us all through that wall. Grab my mane or tail with your teeth," she instructed. "Do NOT let go. If you lose contact with me, you'll become solid in the middle of the wall," she warned earnestly. Then, she fanned her tail and dipped her head, allowing the horses to grasp bits of her extended form in their mouths. Trying not to focus on the pegasi beside them, Moree took a shuddering breath...and began wading through the wall like it was water.

Alcaeus Freedom Flight
The mares - at least one of them, looked shaken. Thankfully Reese looked a bit more sure-footed. It was why he’d assumed he could trust them, why he currently was. They could at least give some guidance, give a start on how they should all approach this. He wanted to wince at how his hooves echoed in comparison to the companions ahead of him; there was only so light his size could sneak through the echoing halls, especially at a quick pace. He did his best to ignore the minor anxious feeling, for it was useless, and he’d already decided to stick with them. Hopefully he’d be more useful if they ran into danger right then. He ignored the fact that his louder steps might be the reason they were found in the first place. The bird spooked the Stallion at first, making him raise his head and loose a step or two to the side as he looked up to look at it. It - that was not normal. A bird in the palace. He swallowed hard, ignoring the fleeing sense of ease he’d had before this all happened. He looked over as Reese started speaking, he gave a hard look the whole time, at the leader. They seemed to usher off after giving directions. Alcaeus looked back the way the bird had came, reverse of everyone else was and was going. It could be a decoy - it was more probable that it was leading them away from something. It had to come from somewhere. If it was a familiar, from someone too. “I’m going this way,” he said in a hushed, short tone. Everyone seemed to have left quickly after that - gone the other way. But he couldn’t find it in himself to follow. His reasoning had done a complete flip after Reese’s directions. There was no way to lure intruders about if all the Flock stayed together. It was probably safer to do that, but it would be far less profitable. And that’s what he was after. He unfurled his wings, after looking back, seeing his company gone from the halls. He was now alone. After a sigh to himself, he took off, from where the bird (?) had came. Hopefully he wasn’t going to die from this.

ABINADI PHILOSOPHER Corrine and Thalassa were welcome constants. Both he had met before in his long service to the Temple. It was difficult to find any in Inaria who had not come face to face with him at least but once before. He allowed Nimhue to walk along next to him, pressed close. In an effort to calm the young mare, he draped one wing over her back, a gentle grounding for the other. Each door coming up empty, each corridor devoid even of wraiths, the air suspiciously silent kept Abinadi from relaxing himself, however. Moree was valiant perhaps, for offering to aid them all in crossing the barrier, but Abinadi was familiar with the workings of blessings, though he himself remained devoid (he had not seen fit to bother Cascade with someone so trivial as himself). "I fear you will tire yourself out, dear." He responded softly, voice deep and rich despite his age. "I have wings. I will fly overtop it." Stretching them out, he backed up a fair way down the corridor and vaulted into the air, allowing himself for a softer ascent with little worry of wind-draft unsettling something atop the barricade. He landed softly on the opposite side, remaining calm despite seeing Thalassa throw forth an impressive ice wall. It would not hold them long. So the stallion waited as Moree and her companions made their way through the wall. "Come along now. If we must, allow Moree to sift through a wall with Luna so that they can continue the search if we must become a diversion."
He would not allow fear to freeze him, despite seeing the Flight and feeling hopelessly overwhelmed already. "They may be less inclined to toy with me. I am, in kind if not ideology, one of them, after all." He whispered a prayer underneath his breath. So much for remaining unheard, unseen. O, Cascade, bless us!

Nimhue
Talori | Brewer
Nimhue's veins turned to ice as she heard others coming and a sense of hurry took hold of her, the same panic that had caused her to run as best as she could to get away from the flock when they fell down on their capital. The rush that had her -with the help of others- reaching the safety of Cascade's temples. She hoped Cascade would show her mercy again as she grabbed onto a strand of Moree's tail, internally begging for them all to go. Cross the barrier. Go, go, go, go, go, go, go.
She was grateful Thalassa had put up a barrier, another blessing on Cascade's part, but things wouldn't move fast enough. What if they couldn't reach the other end in time? What if the other end wasn't safe? Abandhi said they'd be a distraction, but then that thought frightened her. She'd make a poor distraction, having little to offer when it came to resistance. She trembled, closing her eyes and letting herself be led. She needed to be brave, take example in Abinadi. Whatever it took. She had to be prepared to give whatever it took, even if it meant... Cascade would give everyone what was due.

Corrine Grand Cleric of TaloriIm a series of small victories and large defeats and I am as amazed as any other that I have gotten from there to here Corrine snorted a bit as it was clear they were spotted and she had no time to waste. It was quick thinking of Thalassa for the ice wall, that Corrine nodded her head in silent thanks to her. Corrine envious and wishing she too had a blessing more of use, her healing was of course useful for her rank, but in rescue missions? She felt herself becoming more and more of dead weight. The inside voice telling her she was as such.
Shaking her locks of hair, she pushed past the thoughts, this was not the time. Eyes turned to Moree and nodded. She grabbed a hold of her and phased through along the wall with the others. This was odd and felt a bit like not being completely whole. The Sensation was unlike anything else. Still they had made it through. Eyes looked tot he group. "Abinadi is right. Go and Find the Divine. Keep her safe. Some of use, will need to show them we are not to be trifled with." Corrine nodded with a snort and heavy pounding of her hood. Eyes looked to the figures coming towards them, and she felt her heart race, this was for their home, for their Divine. They had lost enough, they will not lose anymore.

Thalassa Talorian ClericThere is a swelling storm, and I'm caught up in the middle of it all
She managed to grab the end of Moree's tail as the younger mare phased through the barrier, taking the group with her. It was a strange sensation, one Thalassa wasn't sure she'd ever want to experience again. Even so, Moree had done well and the older cleric was proud of her and her quick thinking. As the party began to regroup, Abinadi's voice piped up. "Come along now. If we must, allow Moree to sift through a wall with Luna so that they can continue the search if we must become a diversion.
They may be less inclined to toy with me. I am, in kind if not ideology, one of them, after all."
As much as Thalassa hated to admit it, the pegasus had a point. They would never get to Eve in time if everyone stayed together to fight off the threat. Shifting her gaze to Corrine, she listened as the Grand Cleric replied with her own thoughts on the matter. "Abinadi is right. Go and Find the Divine. Keep her safe. Some of us will need to show them we are not to be trifled with."Thalassa nodded, taking in the older mare's words. Luna knew the palace well, Moree was able to pass through most physical barriers, and some of the others would be better suited to helping seek out the Divine rather than staying and fighting. While she wasn't much of a fighter herself, Thalassa had defended herself and others from a predator or two on many occassions in the wild, and as much as she hated the idea, she also knew her blessing would be of better use stalling than for finding Eve. Sighing softly she turned to Corrine once more. "I will take a stand here beside you, Grand Cleric, if you will have me. I feel my abilities and I will be of more use here to slow the enemy than I would be elsewhere." She nodded slightly as she spoke, feeling confident in her decision and duty.

REESE (NPC) Freedom's Flight
Rounding a corner, the group of Talori came into Reese's vision. In surprise, someone threw up an ice wall.
Alcaeus wasn't with them. The stallion might have fled in fear, or thought of another way to ambush the Talori. Reese wouldn't worry about it. If Alcaeus though he was better suited somewhere else, so be it.
Reese suddenly vanished right before hitting the ice, gone like a vapor, and reappeared with a shimmer on the other side. Staying in the air would intimidate this mostly non-winged party. Getting on their level only equalled the playing field.
They flapped lowly, a few meters above the ground, blocking the group that had just been instructed to continue on. They glanced at the ice wall. Octavia and Cupid would have to break through somehow. They realized, too late, that the mares could have held onto them to teleport jointly. Idiot.
But there wasn't time to dwell on that.
"The Divine," they said "isn't here."
It was a lie, of course. Reese didn't know anything for fact at this point. But it would stall them.
