A grain storage barn. Strange that such a simple building would become so vital to the Flight’s plans, but so it was. This brightly-painted building was easily visible from both ground and sky, so it had been chosen for the sanctuary. The mission- protect as many pegasi as possible. If their goal failed, innocent winged brethren would all be punished for the crimes of a few. And so the ground team was sent in, to find feathers in the chaos and lead them to peace, even as the explosions rocked the streets.
The smoke hangs thick, the sounds of fighting, screaming, dying deafening. It is bedlam. The Talori caught in the craziness do everything they can to survive. The lines between friend and foe blur like smoke-burned vision. Do all you can to make it through the madness.

ZenithAnd as the world comes to an end I'll be here to hold your hand 'Cause you're my king and I'm your lionheart."Thank the Gods you are safe.We have to go, we have to get many out of here, we are sitting ducks here. We have to find cover." Faright's voice was a comfort to the newly winged equine as they nodded in agreement. "Everyone move towards cover. We got to move! Come on lets get moving we got to get out of here." The stallion continued speaking, ushering Zenith along. They were thankful the speckled stallion could keep a clear head during all the chaos, as they were having a hard enough time just processing everything that was happening around them.
Zenith yelped as a barrage of smoke grenades fell to the ground around them, coughing as they stretched out their wings, searching for their beloved. "Farsight!" They coughed, hardly able to get the name out of their mouth. "Where are you?" They wheezed softly, tryng to find the stallion who had stood nearby only a moment before.
Their wing soon found the feathers of another, and Zenith moved closer to the being, feeling as if the unseen equine was urging them forward. It had to be Farsight. Zenith nodded to themself, forcing away the thought that it could be anyone else. He probably just couldn't speak due to the smoke. Zenith coughed again, expelling more of the smoke from their lungs as they strained to see in front of them, eyes burning.

Farsight
Everything was going to be okay, he told himself continuously. Everything was going to be fine, but of course it never was. As Farsight moved the group on wards with Zenith by his side, he didnt notice the smoke grenades fall. The shock made him jump back and in the moment Farsight was gone from Zenith's side. Smoke filled the area and all Farsight could do was cough and wheeze trying to grasp for some sort of fresh air. Farsight flapped his wings a bit, but others were in such a panic he was pushed here and there. All he wanted in this moment was to rise above the smoke, to get out of this, but he knew the second he did that he would look like one of them, and that was something Farsight could not afford.
Ears twitched as he glanced around, did someone say his name? Zenith? He panicked, oh gods Zenith. Where was she? Farsight squinted, his eyes watering from the smoke. "Zenith?" he wheezed out, his voice already hoarse from the intake of all the smoke. His ears strained to hear her, but all he heard was everything but her. A scream made him flinch and Farsight trotted forwards or so he hoped, he was unclear of where he was going. "Zenith?" he called out again, but his voice was drowned out by the screams and shouts of others. Gods where was she? Where was the others? Farsight let out a gasp as a horse tumbled into him, only to gallop off in the haze, leaving Farsight scrambled on the ground.
Head felt dizzy as he picked himself up and stood there trying to figure out the best way to go. He closed his eyes praying maybe his gift could help, just a little bit. But why would it, when he had ignored his dreams for weeks only to have it come true before his very eyes. A curse, it was all a curse. Shaking his head the fleabitten pegasus marched forwards, ears bent back with determination. No, he though miserably to himself. They would not win, not today he wouldn't let his pity get the best of him and make him weak. That was not his destiny he reminded himself. ever since he drew the cards for his own future, oh he knew... He knew it all to clearly. Farsight moved forwards ready to find Zenith and get her to safety, that was his first priority he thought to himself.

Peregrine | Freedom's Flight | Post 2
Smoke, choking, thick and black wreathed around Peregrine, and it was all the small gray stallion could do to keep from falling into a coughing fit. It wouldn't seem proper for the attacking force to be brought down by their own weapons, despite how badly his eyes were watering and lungs were burning. He had a mission to complete. Inside his chest, Peregrine's heart thumped wildly, and he felt as though his equilibrium had been stolen from him as he stabilized himself with hawk-like wings. Touching down, the pegasus felt some relief as he fell below the worst of the smoke. What wreathed around him was batted away with the flapping of his wings.
Golden eyes turning left and right, Peregrine searched for shapes he did not recognize. Luckily, he had been spared the heat of battle, and his task today was simply to get the Talorian pegasi to safety, away from this wretched place. Any horse he did not recognize would be brought along for their own safety, but hopefully without injury.
Suddenly, his eyes landed on a bright chestnut appaloosa. His attention was drawn by her brightly colored wings, but quickly fell to the braces on her front and hind legs. Damn! She would be hard to move. Deciding that he would have to start with her if he wanted to have time to round up the others, Peregrine dashed forward. Luckily, his gray coat mixed with the smoke, making him almost invisible as he brushed wingtips with the stumbling mare. Even if he could have spoken, Peregrine would have kept his trap shut, as the mare seemed to think he was the one she was calling out for, one named "Farsight." If she were willing to trust that he would lead her to safety, even if he wasn't this Farsight, then lead her to safety he would.
Narrowing his eyes against the sting of smoke, Peregrine galloped forward.

Taenreos The Flock - Apprentice
The smoke was all encompassing, getting into every thing, the smell literally burning it's way through his nostrils. He could barely see even a few feet in front of him, but that didn't stop him from doing his job. He was tasked with finding and keeping the pegasi populous of Talori safe while the majority of the Flock wrecked havoc on the city. Though he wasn't with anyone he knew personally, he did recognize Peregrine as he bolted past him, intent on guiding a brightly colored appaloosa. Since Peregrine was already starting (and with extreme gusto it seemed), Taen followed his lead. Another pegasus was off to his right, on the ground and coughing, maybe even trying to say a name, though with the smoke it was impossible to figure out what he was trying to say. As Taen moved towards him, he stumbled to his feet, looking dazed. "Hey, follow me!" Taen said, the smoke causing his voice to become raspy. He touched the stallion's side with his wing, hoping he was able to see him. His coloring wasn't quite optimal to see through the smoke but he turned his white side towards the stallion just in case. "We need to get out of this smoke. I'll help you get somewhere safe!"

Othala | Freedom's Flight | Medic
Inaria burned. The most beautiful city in Aquore, with it’s vibrant colors and the incredibly diversity of people, was buried under a thick cloud of grey smoke. She had been here so many times, helping her mother at the shop or simple stroll the streets with her little brother.
Her family was probably down there too, right in the middle of the fight. The Flight members wouldn’t attack another Pegasus on purpose, but it was so easy to get hurt in a panicking crowd…
Focus, she reprimanded herself and scanned the environment for wings. The other members of the little group she was part of, had already split off to fulfill the task that was given to them, while she was still flying irresolutely high in the air, above the smoke. For one more moment she stayed there, one last peaceful moment before she folded her wings straight against her body, going into a nosedive. As soon as she entered the lower air layers her eyes and nostrils started to burn, smoke surrounded her and she almost missed the right moment to spread her wings again so her landing was a little bit rough.
The moment Othala found her balance again, she started to flap her wings to lighten the smoke around her at least slightly. From above she had noticed a storage barn nearby. They would lead all Pegasi there. Hopefully no one would be hurt too badly...but she already knew that she would see terrible things today. Every now and then the earth shaked a little bit when another grenade exploded on the ground and the detonation never drowned all the screams. Everyone was afraid, running for their lives and it was hard to not let this panic overwhelm her too.
Suddenly another pair of wings appeared in front of her, it was the silhouette of a big, draft stallion. (Aslan). Immediately she started to follow him until she was close enough so he could hear her.
“Wait!” she called out and came even closer when the stallion turned around to her. “Are you okay?” she asked, her voice sounded a little pressed as she tried to suppress to cough because of the bad air that burned down her throat, making her lungs ache.

Aslan was already in the air when most of the smoke covered the crowds. His eyes were steadily trained on the culprits and their hectic movements. No order was apparent to the stallion. No order besides the uniform dropping of bombs and grenades that were reeking havoc on the innocent. The Flight had it's appeal to his already torn soul, but this violence turned him off from their ways. Diplomacy, sanctuary, something other than pure violence. The stallion was lost in his thought and anger when a dropped bomb came down. A faulty one at that. It exploded prematurely over his right wing. The wing itself already had its issues. Though it was long healed, after the night he landed in Kelphis- though maybe the correct word was crashed, his wing was sore more often, leaving him less adept at flying. Just they same, the bomb exploded just short of his wing's wrist. The sudden gush of smoke filled his lungs and the force of the blast unbalanced him. Aslan fell back into the sea of smoke and chaos, only just catching himself before he hit the ground. The stallion stumbled and brought himself up just as quickly. He decided to get his fellow citizens to safety. Using his good wing, the stallion pushed smoke away to clear an area. Aslan scanned the area. Unknown to him, his right wing had fallen and was dragging on the floor. A mare called to him. Aslan's head shot up and has ear scanned for her just as his eyes did. As she came up on his flank, she asked if he was okay. He glanced to it briefly and shook his head. "Yes, I'm fine. We need to get you to safety." he replied, not even think of whether she was one of them.

Othala | Freedom's Flight | Medic
Othala’s eyes wandered over the stallion quickly to get a rough idea about his state of health. “Well...to be honest you wing is rather poor-looking.” she replied after a while. That was one thing she noticed, the other was the build and expression of the stallion. Maybe he was an Agriculturalist or, at worst, even a Guardian. Probably it would be the best to not let him know or even suspect that she belonged to the Flight. Almost instantly she replaced her worried but determined facial expression with a more panicked one. Her plan was to get him to safety, but she could try to let him think he was to rescue her. That would be less striking, hopefully. “Safety would be great” she said with a weak smile and a forced insecurity in her voice. “If I’m right, there is a large barn somewhere near in that direction. We could go there.” A suggestion, almost a question. But she had no real doubt that he would follow her, the bigger problem would be to convince him later to stay at the barn.
Suddenly the dark mare winced as another bomb exploded not far away from them, and again they were covered in a dusty cloud of smoke. Othala closed her eyes in resignation. She chose that way months ago...well not exactly. She chose freedom and the Flock became her home in no time, but that was clearly wrong. That bloodshed...there had to be another way. Some better solution than this. But now it was too late to change anything and she would face the consequences of her choice. Every life that was lost today was one too much and the weight of that guilt, even if she don’t killed anyone, not even thrown a single grenade, would weigh heavy on her heart.

Peregrine | Freedom's Flight | Post 3
As much as he desired to hightail it the hell out of Dodge, Peregrine was unsure how long the orange pegasus would stay beside him should the smoke clear and she realize he wasn't her beloved. If he wanted the mare to trust him, maybe he hadn't started off on the right track, but there was nothing he could do to go back and fix his actions, so he would have to settle for rectifying the situation from now on out. Around him, the other Flock members were trying to quiet the Talorians, assuring them that they must, somehow, find safety.
"Don't be frightened," Peregrine called out, choking on the words as they rasped their way up his smoke-filled trachea. "Your mate will be fine," Was it a mate? Husband? He wasn't sure what the Talorians called each other...it really didn't matter, but it gave his scrambled mind something to focus on, trivial or not. "We have to get you all to safety," he added, raising his head high as he attempted to relocate the abandoned barn he'd seen from the air as his squad made their landing.
Another bomb shook the earth, and Peregrine struggled not to jump with fear. It would do little good to appear frightened and weak before the Talorians if they wished to earn any trust. But still...the sound of it made his flesh crawl. He wondered who it might have hit, and what damage it might have done. Flashes of past battles rushed through his head, and he shuddered at the thought. Despite his deep seated desire to be one of the masculine ones, the fighters, the real 'men', he just couldn't stomach the idea of useless violence. Did the perpetrators of the Talorian misdeeds need punished? Absolutely, with all the power Alya and Kaia could reign down upon them. But the innocents...they were just that, innocent, undeserving of this treatment. But, he realized, he couldn't help those where the bombs were falling; all he could do was keep this appaloosa mare from becoming a victim of the same treatment.

3 Aslan watched her closely as she suggested the barn. She seemed to relax but there was a hidden air to her. Maybe she was hiding fear, but maybe it was something far more menacing. He nodded to her just as an explosion went off. The mare- much smaller than him- was shaken by it. He eyes were shut tight and her body tense and just as quickly the explosion had come and gone, smoke that had so recently ebbed covered them again.
Through the smoke a wing reached out. The red wing must have seemed so foreign in the grey and blackness of the world. Just the same, Aslan pulled the mare closer to him. She was neatly tucked under his wing. Aslan moved them in the direction she suggested. He was too frazzled to remember the plans and maps he'd studied before the ceremony in case of attack. He was prepared, but he never thought he'd have to use this information. Around them, chaos ensued. Layers on layers of screams. Aslan kept his goal in the forefront of his mind. He could not afford getting distracted. Through the smoke he could see the bright paint. A grain barn. Others had already begun to take shelter there. Aslan pushed the mare into it's doors with his wing and turned away. "Please, stay here. Hep the others but do not leave." The stallion declared. He turned and left, not wanting to waste any time. The barn was far removed from the violence. Aslan had a place to bring refugees and such was his intention.

Othala | Freedom's Flight | Medic
The dark mare opened her eyes again when she heard the silent rustle of feathers and only a moment later she was tucked under a large, red bay wing. She herself blended rather well into the environment right now with her dark grey and white coat and wings, but the stallion was easier to see through all this smoke. From time to time she corrected the direction he was heading for until he was able to see the barn and not needed any assistance from her anymore.
So far so good. They were almost there. Now she had to convince him to stay here. And she suspected that this wouldn’t be easy. Othala took a look into the barn and was surprised by how many horses already found shelter here. Most of them appeared shocked, they looked around with disbelief in their wide-open eyes. Others seemed just angry or sad. Many of them were hurt, but there was already a mare which took care of them, probably a Cleric. "Please, stay here. Help the others but do not leave." The draft stallion already turned around while he said that and for a moment Othala hesitated. Yes she could stay here and aid the injured - but she had clear orders. And what was even more important for her...in that crowd of feathers a really special pair of wing was missing. Her brother and rest of the family was still out there. She had to try and find them.
With this decision made, she galloped outside the barn again and stopped in front of the large stallion. “No wait! You are already injured. If you go out there again you risk your life!” she said urgently and lowered her mask of fear and insecurity. Her plan didn’t worked, but she still had to convince him to stay. “Your wing needs medical care, now. Also the horses inside the barn could need someone like you, someone to give them a feeling of safety. I can still fly, so I will search for other horses and guide them here. But you have to stay here, please!”

Farsight Harrower of Talori
Ears flickered as he heard a voice, follow me. Head turned to the side, but a touch of someone's wing touched him. Farsight let out a sigh of relief thankful the aid, for the help. Though before he could speak, the stallion, he assumed from the voice spoke out to him telling himself to follow along. "Thank you, thank you so much." he spoke hoarsely to the stranger. Farsight coughed and wheezed wishing his throat would no longer burn, he wanted fresh air and it felt as if his body screamed for him to fly, to get fresh air. Wings twitched a bit as if saying fly, fly fly.. Every sense urged Farsight to move to fly, to get out of this smoke, before it became his death.
Farsight always had nightmares of drowning int he sea, not being able to breath and more he was out here, the more he felt like his own throat would close up. Gods he hoped this fellow knew where to go, and that it was somewhere close. Closing his eyes, he tried to blink away the burning sensation. "Are we close?" he asked the stranger moving quickly to their side, as he tried to get a sense of who this fellow was. While Farsight did not know many before Torrine, he quickly knew at least recognized most of the pegasi within the walls. Eyes narrowed a bit, eyeing them a bit curiously, yet still the smoke eluded the stranger from him still. he could make out his coloring and bit of his form, but other then that... He was unsure. But surely he was being nervous, he was just nervous... He told himself. Settle, settle... It'll be okay, he thought to himself. The goal was to find somewhere clear to get his mind settled and find Zenith, and the two would find their own place to hide away. That was the plan and as of now, this stranger was just a means to the end.

Tansy Flock Member - Ex-Cleric
I'm skin and bone Just a king and a rusty throne Oh, the castle's under siege But the sign outside says, "Leave me alone." -Panic! at the Disco
-----
Tansy's flanks shivered at the sounds of chaos around the safety of the barn. A rattle of the framework lent her the knowledge that her once-home was under siege and she was a part of it. The thought made her rather dizzy but she tried her best to shake the feeling off. The Vanner had a task to do, not blessed with the wings like many of the flock and those they had come to rescue, she was tasked with what she had been good at when she was part of society. Healing and tending to the injured and somehow she had found herself in an old storage barn tending to a few minor injuries of those who had also found safety here. Frail herself she had been advised to keep safe but help when she could. Already a few pegasi had found there way out of the smoke and chaos and she tried her best to murmur in their ears that she could get them to safety. They seemed in shock and nothing she said sunk it but she tended burns, cuts and scrapes and tried to make those in worse condition more comfortable. Taking a moment to breath she looked at the entrance. A mare and stallion, with the mare being pushed into the barn. Both looked shaken and dirty and Tansy recognized the other medic from the flock. A little more chipper she began to make her way towards her only to have the mare rush back out. Blinking at the sudden loss of familiarity she made her way to the doors to look out. Her nerves had kept her from the door before but she now felt the wave of curiosity.
Finally reaching the doors and looking out, she could see the pair that had been here a moment ago in what looked to be a pleading argument by the mare. The air was thick with smoke and the sudden rush of it made Tansy's aqua blue eyes water. Blinking quickly she tried to focus on them and could just tell the one had for sure seen better days and it had not been the medic from the flight. Gritting her teeth, she glanced back to the barn's horses. She had done all she could for those in there at the moment and chirped that she would be right back and she dashed the short distance the stallion and mare had made it. Taking a breath as she began to near them made her lungs flame from the smoke and she began to cough instead of call out to them. While her eyes streamed and her airways ached she tried to pull her lion pelt further up her neck and bury her mouth in its musty mane. Managing a breath that did not end with coughs she called out the name she hoped she remembered correctly.
"O-Othala!" Her voice was eerie here, and thick with the smoke. Everything seemed to dance with something out of a nightmare as lights from fires flickered and the sound of violence filled the city. She reached the two with another sputter and saw the stallions wing and heard Othala plead for him to seek care. Ah, exactly what Tansy could do. Trying not to speak out of turn she said, " Yes please listen to her, im a Cleric. I can help you, come back to the barn!"

ZenithAnd as the world comes to an end I'll be here to hold your hand 'Cause you're my king and I'm your lionheart.Zenith followed the unseen figure, praying that it was Farsight and that he was leading them somewhere safe, away from all this chaos. The smoke burned their lungs, making each breath almost agonizing. But they pushed forward, each achy step more deliberate than the last.
"Don't be frightened, Your mate will be fine. We have to get you all to safety," Zenith stopped dead in their tracks as the unfamiliar voice. Panic started to overtake them once more. Who was this unknown pegasus? Was he leading them into a trap? Where was Farsight?! Their legs buckled beneath them and Zenith fell to their knees, gasping for air.
They stayed there, on the ground, for what seemed like an eternity. The screams of fellow herd mates and the booming sound of explosives ringing in their ears. They could hear the voices of others around them, encouraging equines to safety. Forcing themself to their feet once more, Zenith sought out their "guide" once more. With so many being taken to the same place, maybe Farsight would be there too... At that moment, the spotted pegasus didn't care if it was a trap, or if it would ultimately lead to their death. Though still terrified, there was a sense of resignation that began to creep through the copper equine. All that mattered right now was finding Farsight.
"alright..." They wheezed, squinting to see the stranger through the smoke. "I'll come with you..."
It didn't take long for the stranger to lead them to an oder, long abandoned barn. As the doors swung open, Zenith gasped for breath, inhaling deeply the clean air. They collapsed to the floor, legs giving out entirely after the strain of moving so quickly and the stress Zenith was feeling. They huddled against the wall, trying to stay as calm as was physically possible for them at this point in time. Farsight would find them. He'd promised he would never leave them. He had to find them.
As their thoughts continued to dwell on Farsight, they scanned the large expanse of the room, wondering if maybe he had already arrived. Instead of finding their fiance, Zenith's eyes fell upon an all too familiar equine. Tansy. The flight had in fact been the ones to lead them here, they realized, but they wanted to know why...

Almost as swiftly as he left, Aslan heard hooves following him. The mare appeared before him, looking frantic. She's going to plea he thought to himself, silently folding in his wings. Aslan watched her very closely as she spoke. “No wait! You are already injured. If you go out there again you risk your life!” she bargained. A laugh escaped his mouth. Risk his life? "Miss, I'm a guardian." he stated, pressing forward his right shoulder. On it- covered in soot, mind you- was the crest that shown so familiarly on the flag of Talori. "It is my job to risk my life for you. Please, help the others, I promise I am fine." He said as she walked around her and nudged her back to the barn. “Your wing needs medical care, now. Also the horses inside the barn could need someone like you, someone to give them a feeling of safety. I can still fly, so I will search for other horses and guide them here. But you have to stay here, please!” She was right, he was hurt, but others were even more so than he. The other guardians certainly were hidden in the smoke doing just the same as he was attempting to. Doing their job. He couldn't stay. "Please, go. I do not want to find your body among the others." Aslan said rather forcefully. "You're so young..." Aslan added, studying her. Another voice came to them, seeming to call not to him, but the mare. Good, he thought, the cleric to take her back. The mare was covered in a pelt, which was weird for a cleric, but to each their own. She said the Pegasus's name, Othala, again and turned to him. "Yes please listen to her, I'm a Cleric. I can help you, come back to the barn!" the newcomer pleaded. They sided together. "You may do your job and I will do mine." Aslan said very forcefully. Mares will be mares he thought silently. The stallion finally turned. He shook his head and left, trotting this time. He would take excuses no longer.

Taenreos The Flock - Apprentice
Taen glanced back at his charge, the fleabitten pegasus who was currently thanking him for the timely rescue. To be honest, he was glad to be helping someone instead of fighting. Even though there was still danger all around, grenades falling from the sky and bombs exploding all around, he was keeping others from experiencing the fate Alynla did. He would not fail this time. Not with this.
"Are we close?" the pegasus said behind him, coughing and wheezing from the smoke. Taen didn't need to answer his question because they had reached the safe zone. A barn, dedicated to hosting and helping any pegasi who needed aid, was in front of them. The smoke wasn't particularly thick near the barn, so Taen could properly see his charge now.
Taen swore he'd seen him before somewhere. Faces and names were one of the few things he could remember, but he couldn't get this face to click. No matter, I need to get him to the barn.
"Head to the barn, you'll be safe there!" Taen turned, almost running into a large greying red bay pegasus. 'Course, the stallion towered over Taen which was probably the reason he didn't seem to notice him. The stallion was trying to get away from Othala and, surprisingly, Tansy's efforts as well to help his wing, which look dangerously in fear of being stepped on in all the chaos.
Apperantly, the stallion wasn't having none of their help, and he proceeded to make his way towards the smoke and it's dangers. I have to do something... what do I do to get him to stay? The idea hit him as soon as he remembered his training. Taen really didn't want to do it but really, what choice did he have? He couldn't do anything else, so this will have to do.
It was a little trick Antiope helped him with, regarding his blessing. Since he couldn't technically hurt anyone big time yet, he could still make things very annoying. He concentrated, pinpointing a few spots on the stallion. The most irritating places to itch. 'Course, he couldn't get them to itch all at the same time, but he could switch between the spots he picked fairly quickly, which means it almost seemed like your body decided to itch all over, though there was a slight lag. Hopefully this works...

(OOC: It's totally fine that Farsight knows Taen. XD I'll let you take the initiative. Also, Aslan better have some damn good resistance to itches. XD)

Alec Talori Craftsman - 26 yr stallionAgnes (NPC - daughter) Talori Tenderfoot - 8 yr filly
His sinuses burned with each unwanted breath, his already questionable vision had Alec almost completely blind in the array of smoke. He could feel his pulse climb higher and higher as he swung his head frantically side to side on a quest to redeem his sight. He was numb to any sound besides the pounding of his own heart in his long ears, anxiety wafting over him like the comparable wave of ugly gray smoke. It wasn't until the painted stallion's bright blue eyes shifted to his daughter that he knew he had to redeem his senses. Though his ears couldn't, Alec's bulging, panicked orbs could just make out the words on the young filly's lips, "Dad! DAD! ALEC!" He could only envision her voice. Agnes was a strong child, much stronger than her father was at eight years old, in fact, probably stronger than he was now. It wasn't until he saw tears build up in her identical blue eyes that Alec swallowed his excruciating panic and pulled himself together.
The macaw pegasus gasped in the toxic air as his senses came flooding back all at once, crowding over his daughter, wings covering her small figure, he only managed to choke out a desperate, "It's-- coff, coff-- g-ggoing to be al-- coff-- alright." Alec attempted to cover his head, as well as his child, under his wings as he began to move through the crowd in an obliviously desperate trial to find safety. Glancing back and forth between Agnes and the chaotic path ahead of them, Alec's heart trembled and broke at her sobs. It wasn't until he huddled even closer to his young filly that he heard her effort to speak between choking on tears, "We need t-to go w-with that stallion!" Alec had to strain his ears to hear her.
"W-who?" He muttered in confusion.
"HIM!" Agnes belted out in one strained sob, obviously irritated at her father's ignorance. She spun around, against Alec's bright blue feathers and galloped toward a bright bay pegasi with a silver mane and tail. Momentarily dumbfounded, he soon caught himself racing after his daughter.
"I-I'm, so sorry!!" Alec awkwardly shouted at the stallion, not realizing, or caring that he probably couldn't be heard. Though he had missed the pegasi's offer to safety while in a previously shocked daze, it was clear Agnes didn't. Though in all the rush the red stallion seemed to already be hurrying on his way, and with Agnes heading in his direction, Alec had no choice but to follow.

Tansy Flock Member - Ex-Cleric
I'm skin and bone Just a king and a rusty throne Oh, the castle's under siege But the sign outside says, "Leave me alone." -Panic! at the Disco
-----
Tansy stared at the stallion now, the fear and nerves dripped away from her mind. She had not come through hell and back to have some stallion too proud to take help when help was needed. Her flat eyes bored into his and radiated a cold gaze. This was something uncommon before her time in Torrine and with the Freedom's Flight, she had always been so soft and cheery. But hard times had a way of hardening horses and a few of her patients in the flock had described her as a headmistress who would strike one across the snout if one were not listening in class. Stern now and not one to let "You may do your job and I will do mine." pass unnoted and then he turned and left! Ha, the nerve of some horses! Lifting a lip she snarled and easily made her way in-front the stallion. Planting her front legs solidly before her she snapped.
"A load of good you'll be, injured as you are. Nothing but a target and if you're to daft enough to at least let me dress the worst of your wounds then by all means be a fool."
Her last few words had been said as she moved closer to him and looked him up and down in a blatantly judgmental way. She scoffed and smartly trotted away from him and back towards the barn. No one would treat her with disrespect, if you didn't have respect, you didn't have anything. -----

Othala | Freedom's Flight | Medic
A Guardian.Oh crap. “Please, go. I do not want to find your body among the others." he told her while trying to nudge her back to the barn. Well, if he would know that she belonged to the Flock he probably wouldn’t have such a big problem with that. The next moment Tansy appeared at the entrance of the barn and Othala nodded thankfully into her direction as she also tried to convince the stallion to stay. But the didn’t changed his mind, instead he he already turned his back at them and walked away. “What a stubborn fool” she snorted in frustration and exchanged a look with Tansy. Stallions. Pride instead of reason. If he would continue like that it was his body that she would find shattered to the ground by the end of the day. Then, suddenly, another horse stood in the large stallions way. It was Taenreos, a Flock member even younger than herself. He seemed to understand the situation immediately and then focused the Guardian with a concentrated gaze. Othala didn’t realised what he was doing at first, but then she remembered. He was born blessed by the God of Fire himself. Maybe he made use of that right now? “Tansy, I will go out there again. Maybe I can find some more horses. I will be back soon and help you to take care of all the injured.” she called to the other mare and unfolded her wings. With one big jump she leapt over the two stallions and disappeared in the smoke again. Maybe she could find someone a little more gratefully that would actually stay at the barn.

Farsight
The Harrower nodded to the stallion and soon the pair was close to the barn, though as the smoke began to clear Farsight got a good look at the stranger that had helped him. He paused for a second... wait did he know him? But brofr he could say anything the other winged stallion was trotting over to elsewhere and of course Farsight followed along with his eyes. And it was there the world held still.
Tansy... he saw her it was her. He could not help, but smile. Oh gods he has had missed his childhood friend. He took a step forward, yet he stayed where he was at, neat the barn. Could he say they were still friends? She had come with any army and even though it was clear to even him she was used as a healer for them. But still they came and took the lives of others. Right now wrecking havoc onto all. It didn't seem right and while seeing her was a welcoming sight, it did not sooth his nerves like it had before. So much had changed.
Farsight watched from the sideline as one of the winged mares was up into the sky and another stallion he knew as guardian was running back into the fog. Eyes glanced around seeking the group. Zenith, he had to find her. He glanced back at Tansy, perhaps she knew where she was, but it felt wrong to ask her. It didn't seem right. With a huff he trotted into the bark praying she would be inside, if not he would be like the others and charge back into the smoke. "Zenith?" He called put as he trotted into the barn trying his best avoid those foreign to him. Not friends he told himself. These horses brought war onto them all and play it as their savior. Not friends he repeated to himself. Though as he did he felt the adrenaline rush leave him and his exhaustion from the nightmares that had come true hut him. The Fleabitten stallion dropped onto his knees before laying on his side. He saw it all and he did nothing. Gods forgive him, he let this happen.

Alec - Agnes (NPC)
Alec's ears were thrown forward as the unknown stallion turned and spoke to them. Alec was cautious, and if it wasn't for the smoke obscuring everyone's vision, you could see it on his face. But as Agnes had already clasped her teeth around the silver strands of the bay pegasi's tail, he had no choice but to follow, and in reality, it was the only hope for safety they had at the moment.
Though he was nervous, adrenaline pumping through every inch of his little body, Alec was thankful when the silver bay opened his wings to create a pathway through the smoke. Though not as big as some, he was still much larger than the donkey stallion and filly, and frankly is was nice to be able to see what was in front of you. It wasn't until they trio ran to a literal line of fire that they had to skid to a reluctant stop.
"Just a little further! We just have to fly over and you'll be safe!" Shouted the gypsy vanner stallion. Alec's blue eyes spun around to meet Agnes's. Though due to her age she was more than capable, the young filly had only began learning to fly after meeting her father a few months ago, and she sure didn't have a natural knack for it, perhaps another one of her father's undesirable traits. However, it didn't seem they had much of another choice. Following the bay stallion's directions, Alec grabbed onto the mane above Agnes's withers and spread his wings to push off the ground in flight. She was wobbly, but after finding a balance spot, and because of Alec's assistance, Agnes stumbled through the air to the bright colored grain barn. It wasn't long before their hooves landed on the wooden floor of their supposed safe haven. Though Alec dropped his hind quarter and landed as he had practiced so many times before, Agnes attempted to land on her forehand, causing her to tumble to the ground in a rush of motion. Alec huddled around the filly to help her up, before glancing nervously at the unknown faces already occupying the barn.
Surprisingly, Alec pinned his ears flat against his neck and furrowed his brow at the strangers, protectively guarding his daughter, a gesture that she of course didn't think she needed. Gaze shifting frantically to each corner of the room, Alec's attention was finally snapped back to the horse who had led them here. Where was he? Was he okay? The least Alec could do was thank him, no matter which side he was on, The Flight or Talori, he had led both him and his daughter to safety, and that was more than he ever could of asked. The small stallion spun around to peer out the entrance of the barn, waiting the bay pegasi's arrival.

Peregrine | Freedom's Flight | Post 4
It had been harrowing, to say the very least, to round up the pegasi and herd them towards the barn, where their safety could be expected. At least, he hoped they would be safe here. Even though the horses were sheltered from prying eyes currently, there was no guarantee that they could not be caught off guard by a fighting force of Talorians, or even injured accidentally by those in their own group. It was just so impossible to tell what might come of this strange, upside-down world that the Vagabonds and their charges had entered.
As horses streamed into the barn, Peregrine's attention was snatched from one coat to the next, seeing a fluffy of unfamiliar wings, hearing voices he knew not, and trying to generally stop his head from swimming thanks to the confusion and smoke inhalation. Vaguely, he was aware of Tansy and Othala begging one of the Talorians to stay, and the Talorian ignoring their warnings to trounce off, like the idiot he must be. For a moment, Peregrine wondered if his intention was to rat out the group, but that thought slipped from his mind as he watched Othala bound forward, clearing the heads of two stallions before exiting the barn to search for more survivors.
Sonya had not yet made it to the barn, and Othala had left again, leaving Tansy behind to fend for the injured. Glancing back and forth between the collected horses and the barn door, Peregrine struggled to decide where to go. He wanted to rush out after Othala, to find others they could rescue, but his throat burned from the smoke, and he could see that some of the Talorians would need medical attention. He wasn't trained like the Medic, but perhaps he could help.
"Do you need help until Othala returns, or shall I aid her?" Peregrine called, glancing at Tansy for affirmation.

ZenithAnd as the world comes to an end I'll be here to hold your hand 'Cause you're my king and I'm your lionheart.Zenith's mind raced as they watched Tansy, dear sweet Tansy, work alongside the terrorists. This is what it had come to... Friend fighting against friend...brother against brother. Even if Tansy wasn't out on the front lines dropping bombs on their beloved homeland, she was supporting those who did.
Zen's thoughts went out to their family...Was Hawkeye safe? Nagisa? While they didn't have the same contact and closeness to them that they'd had when they were younger, Zenith still cared deeply for them. What about their nieces and nephews? Sure Aleksy and Maddox could take care of themselves, but Kenji was still young...and Damaris's daughters were only tenderfeet, one of them only a few months old... Did Tansy not care about that? About Zenith's family that was likely the target of this whole mess? Anger and confusion began to mingle with the fear and anxiety the brewer was feeling and they buried their face in their forelegs as another bomb shook the foundations of their home...
"Zenith?"
The appaloosa's head shot up as Farsight's voice rang out through the barn, catching their attention immediately. Looking around, they finally spotted him near the barn's entrance, watching in horror as he collapsed to the floor. "Farsight!" Zenith called out, struggled to their feet before carefully hobbling over to where Farsight lay in a heap on the ground. Slowly, Zen lowered themself to the ground, gently covering the stallion with a brightly colored wing. "Farsight...Are you hurt..? Is there anything I can do to help..?" They asked, concern for their lover plastered on their face as they looked the fleabitten stallion's exhausted form, searching for injuries.

The stallion attempted to put distance between him and the mares. A burning sensation sat just under the surface of his skin. It was at the point of his right should, just far enough under his armor that he couldn't reach it. Discomfort showed on his face, but he dud't have time to be bothered. As he left, Aslan passed a younger horse who looked so completely concentrated on him. Aslan flicked his tail in complete anger this was not a time to have an unbearable itch. When he was home and could beckon Hasan or Peyton to help him, sure, but this was impeding his ability to work. Still angry, Aslan waded through the smoke. He heard crying and, thankful for a distraction, made way to it. As it's volume grew, two figures appeared in the smoke. Upon reaching them, Aslan used his good wing to clear the area. Two turned to three. A colt was standing over a filly who was crying. The third was a mare much older than the others. the resemblance between the filly and the mare was uncanny- they were mother and daughter. The colt standing over the filly was black and held a strong expression. "You are the flock! Stay away from my friends!" he commanded Aslan. The stallion lowered his head, but before he could speak, another voice corrected him. "Cornelius... look at his shoulder. He's a guardian... Look..." The mare was talking, well, barely. Her hind legs were lodged under rubble moved from explosion and bleeding quite profusely. "Leave me," she pleaded him, "take them to safety." She was dying. Aslan lifted his head again. A clearing in the smoke opened the view of the alter. A white horse with midnight's wings was there with their army. The Flock. Asaln watched as the familiar body of the defender went to do his job. He was consumed. Aslan felt all the air leave his body as the group left and Thaumas's body lay completely still. His eyes stung, from the smoke of course, and his throat was dry for the same reason, I assure you. With a weighted breath Aslan said a firm "No. We are all getting to safety." That's what Thaumas would do. That's what he would do. This fight was not over. The rubble on the mare was no weight to Aslan. He uncovered her and saw the damage. She'd never walk, but her children wouldn't loose her. He threaded her body over his and she was dead weight. He bid her not to give up yet. "Children," Aslan started, once again leaning his head down to barely get out the words, "Please stay under me. I'm taking you to a safe place." With much trouble, Aslan came again on the barn. much time had passed and those who were previously there were gone. Aslan did not stop. He went directly into the barn. It was more crowded than when he left it, but he found a clearing just the same and placed the mare's body down, nicking his own damaged wing in the process. "Cleric!" He called, drowning out all others. "Help this mother and her children." he ordered the mare with the lion pelt. Aslan once again turned to leave, more needed help, but the filly who was crying before stopped him with her wing. It was so small, only the size of his forearm, but more powerful than the flock itself. It was she who finally got him to stay.

Tansy scoffed as the stallion made his way gone but smiled tenderly to Othala. Before she knew it however she had unfolded her wings and was gone. Although she was indeed part of this nonsense she did not agree with it in the least. Sighing she looked to the other flock member, Taen, picking up the same vibe Othala as the apprentice bore his focus at the stallion.
"He isnt worth it" She spoke softly but solidly. "Lets head to the bar-....." Her throat had stopped near the end of the sentence having caught an oddly familiar glimpse of speckles. Hmmmm... She thought and finished her line "barn. Are you okay?" She figured she might as well ask, it was her task after all.
While looking over her fellow member she happened to miss Zenith slip into the barn and before she knew it Peregrine was asking if she needed help.
"I think i have everything in control, please go find more" The concerned bled from Tansy as some of the fear and nerves returned but she bit down hard and tried to hold the fire the stallion had stirred in her. She could use this and actually get things done. Looking back to the barn she smiled and bid farewell to Peregrine. Her mind ached to head to the barn and assured Peregrine that she could use their help later however. Then she was off, headed back to the barn and there she stood in the door way and could obviously see the figure of Farsight, now covered by their lover Zenith. It was when her heart did something rather odd. It fluttered with happiness and the feeling she held in Torrine when she was ready to die fought. It was love and it was betrayal. Damn it hurt. Her eye welled but again, she latched on to the anger and moved to the figures on the floor.
"Farsight, Zenith, are you two alright. Do you need any medical care?" She was obviously trying to keep the cordial and not make a scene. There had been some others who came in that might need help and as the medic she would be damned if her feelings would get in the way. That is, until her attention was brought back to the doors. It was that damn stallion, what, did he try to fly and found he hurt too much. But no, no there was more that made her hooves rush across the little distance and heard the words 'Mother and children'
"Yes. Yes, what happened, Tell me quick so i may know what to do!"
Well... it was obvious something would happen but the child was in tatters as she sobbed to the stallion. There was crushing damage.. blood loss... with rolling eyes she looked around with that steel gaze and focused on a few individuals that were clearly able.
"Well dont just stand there and be daft" She snarled "Get me some damn cloth and water!" Her voice tore her throat. It had never been used to loudness but she did it now. As the ones were startled by the seemingly calm mare suddenly growing fangs to bite with returned with the items she had needed she set to work. If she could stop the major bleeding... maybe amputation could be avoided....She focused and growled at others when she needed something, her attention entirely on the mare. Personal was not the same thing as importan

Taenreos The Flock - Apprentice
Damn, didn't work, Taen thought as the stallion moved away. I tried really hard this time...
Taen didn't let it bother him however. He still had a mission to do. The fleabitten pegasus he was leading before was making his way back to the barn and Othala was nowhere to be found. I must have been concentrating so much, I even lost track of time. Taen followed along behind his former charge, if only to see if any help was needed from him other than directing the refugees.
He was almost to the barn when the red bay returned, and not alone. He was leading others to the safety of the barn, despite the condition of his wing. Taen felt stupid in that moment, realizing he just kind of impeded the stallions progress of helping others. Even though he wasn't a member of the Flock, he still went out and did his best. Better than me.
Taen shook his head, remembering what he was trying to accomplish. No use worrying about things he couldn't control. He made it into the barn in time to hear Tansy yell, which from what he knew of her, it was disturbing to hear.
...and now I'm just standing in the barn doorway like a dunce. Well, what the heck am I supposed to do now?

Farsight
Every breath hurt, how much smoke did he breath in? How close was he to those smoke bombs? He wasn't sure and quite frankly he was too tired to care. At the moment he was safe, but for how long? When the wolves stopped pretending to be sheep among the Talorians? Where were the other guardians? Why had they not cleared Talori? The mere though made him want to wretch on the spot. This wasn't good, Cascade help them all, he pleaded in his mind. Head lifted wearily from the ground, ears flickering as he thought he heard his name, then a dash of bright colors came to him. And he smiled, oh gods did he smile. "Zenith." he whispered to her so softly. "Thank the Gods you are safe... I dont know.. I ..." he couldnt finish the sentence, but she was soon by his side, wrapping her wing around his form. This was home, oh yes where Zenith was, it was home to him and no flock member would ever take that from him. "Please tell me you are well though?" he whispered to her with concern and worry.
Her words of worry washed over him, like a hot bath, making him sigh happily. Bless this mare, bless her so greatly, he thought. "Im fine.. Just tired." he chuckled a bit before coughing a bit, the taste of smoke filling his mouth once more. "I just need to rest a bit, and I'll be back to normal." he assured her. The moment of peace he had was gone. Tansy was there looking at them, and Farsight felt a mix of emotions, it seemed she was far better then she was there in Torrine, something a part of him was thankful for. Farsight looked to her, sadness in his eyes before he looked away, he didnt have a chance to say anything before she was swept away to another scene. Farsight looked to it, and his heart stopped in the tracks. Children, bloodshed... The flock brought this upon them all. Killed innocents, for the mere traditions that had been passed down for generations. The Flock demanded revenge, but at what cost? What cost would it be if the killed as many lives as the Talorians had killed of Pegasus? When would it be enough? Farsight couldn't bare to look. The Flock... The Flock did this... Wrecked everything.
Eyes closed for a second trying to steady his ever wondering mind. Sleep deprivation getting the best of him, he assumed. Attention turned back to Zenith. "What should we do?" he asked her. He needed reassurance, he needed guidance. All his mind could warp around was that his dreams, those visions came true. He had a chance to prepare himself instead he brushed it all off as nightmares. Gods he was fool, always a fool. Farsight didn't like the idea of staying here among the others, and yet it didnt settle with him to leave out there once more. This place was safe and for now it seemed the Flock had no intentions of causing more havoc.
