Nimerah WF | Medic
Small clouds puffed from the young mare's muzzle as she made her way to the town's center. Nimerah had gotten up early this morning, feeling ready for whatever today might bring. She eagerly trotted down the makeshift road from her camping spot to the main cobbled road that lead straight through town. 'Perhaps I'll get a nice cup of coffee to start the day, if the shop is open yet.' She absently thought while passing some early merchants, setting up shop. She slowed down as she noticed a murmuring crowd in the distance, near the tree line. It immediately spiked her intrest, and she walked over. Her coffee could wait.
The sooty mare curiously bobbed her head above the group to try and get a glimpse of... what ever it, that was causing all this commotion. "It smells weird." One horse said. "I don't recognize the shape either." Said another, their hushed voices mixing in with the rest of the worried hums. "Excuse me." Nim said with a smile to one of the two horses, as she wiggled herself passed them to get her own look of the 'weird smelling shapes'.
There in the snow before her, lay tracks, rather fresh. They lead straight into the forest, coming from town. It must have passed trough Skeldr in the night? She bend down to take a closer look, perhaps she could identify the maker of the tracks. A strange musk wafted up to the young mare's nose, and she pulled a face. "Uhg!" She responded automatically, and pulled away. She couldn't place the smell, but it wasn't very nice, that's for sure.

Standing alone, Judiah may have looked strange to others that passed, his head bent low to the ground, gazing intensely at the faint tracks that curved away from Skeldr town, to the forest lining it. Sure, tracks were normal around these parts, especially with hungry animals scavenging scraps from the garbages of the local bars and taverns but these ones...these ones were weird.
Judiah hadn't been the first one to spot them, no. He actually couldn't recall who it had been truthfully, their name slipping from his grasp. But they had brought them to attention, the whole town soon crowding around them hours before hand. No one could name the animal, and the scent made many twist their nostrils and wrinkle their noses as they tried to place the smell. People had tried to get the attention of the stone circle or even Hira herself but all seemed far too busy to deal with some mysterious tracks in the snow. So here Judiah stood, feathers almost touching the snow as he stood on the edge of the cobbled path, head bent low and chest expanding widely as he took an extremely deep breath (it was surprising that he didn't snort a bunch of snow into his nose!) Twisting his ears back, Judiah let out a huff as he raised his head, cocking it as he stared intently at the tracks. He didn't know why he was so interested in them... but, it felt almost like a mystery to him, one from those cheesy Aodian books. And this was a mystery Judiah definitely wanted to solve.
Flicking his ears back forward, Judiah turned to look behind himself, wondering if anyone else was as invested as him. Horses had begun to dissipate as the morning went on, sent up their stalls or beginning to chat amongst other stores owners. The market would be lively soon enough, and Judiah hoped that would mean horses would come back to the interesting tracks. He didn't exactly want to go looking for a mysterious and possibly dangerous creature.

Greer | Stationary Merchant (rank change pending)
Greer stepped into the bitter cold for the second time in nearly three months, squinting against the sharp whipping wind. She took a few steps, making sure to keep most of her weight off of her right front. She was just starting to feel well enough after the bloody flank came into the village and nearly killed two of its citizens, Greer being one of them. Now the poison bolt that had been lodged in her shoulder was mounted on her wall on two silver hooks, reminding her of the brutality those savages had to offer. She could feel a strange sense of panic and curiosity in the air and decided to investigate what had everybody so chattery. Usually everybody just went about their day and kept to themselves but she noticed groups here and there discussing something that had apparently happened in the town center.
Finally she reached the familiar square and immediatley spotted a crowd gathering around something in the snow. She limped her way over, pushing past a few people before she finally laid eyes on whatever it was that had everyone so alarmed. Strange prints were scattered across the ground and while that wasn't always so strange, the smell that went with them chilled her spine though she couldn't exactly place it. Now she knew what had everyone so spooked. She spotted a few others studying the prints, and lifted her head to look at them. "Any idea what caused this?" She asked, moving her forelock out of her eyes.

Killiah WF | Travelling Merchant 'Just a warning Killiah can be offensive sometimes! It's not me just her so please don't get offended by what she says, i have no grudge against anyone ^^ all offence is to the characters not you personally okay!'
It was too cold to be up so early, or so thought Killiah. She had woken up too early to get in some more hours of sales, a good Merchant was up in the early hours right? WRONG!, it was a sin to be up this early, you only left the town from the tavern this early. The large mare skulked into town with her polar bear fur pulled tightly around her shoulders and back, spiked iron shod horseshoes keeping her hooves well on the ground
Stopping by her usual resting place she finally realised something... She'd forgotten her cart!!. Swearing loudly like an old sailor she spun around, stomping her hooves as she went; on all the days she could have forgotten today had to be the day. With a tired growl she allowed her mind to drift away, her thoughts only of her warm bed and the roaring fire at home with perhaps a flaggon of mead to warm her belly; Afew extra coins weren't worth this, she should have just stayed in bed. However the thoughts of home werent enough to drag her away from the cold as she tried to head back home, only to be blocked by a gathered crowd that she promptly shoved her way through to see what all the fuss was about
Pulling her Polar-Bear skin coat tighter around her shoulders, she came in close next to a brindled mare, brows knitting together as the odd smell that came wafting from the snow, "This is rubbish!" She hissed, "Clearly they are wolf tracks, that or someone is just messing with the lot of you". Killiah couldn't help but shake her head, eyes rolling at the craziness of the crowd; to her Dismay they didnt seem to shift in the slightest which made her brow crease ever inward

Kiger
The wind stung her eyes as she squinted suspiciously at the strange tracks left in the snow. It didn't look like horse tracks, and definitely didn't smell like anything else she was aware of. How did something this strange enter Skeldr without anyone noticing? There's no way a raider could've missed an animal that nobody could recognize, but apparently even the raiders missed such a thing. Some horses tried to get Hira or the Stone Circle's attention, but with current situations, they were much too busy about the possibility of war to care much about some "strange tracks".
A mare limped her way towards the general gathering. "Any idea what caused this?" she asked.
Kiger shook her head absentmindedly. "No. It's not anything I recognize--" Almost on impulse, she quickly glanced around nervously; but it only turned out to be another horse passing by behind her.
She gazed curiously at a stallion sniffing at the tracks, thinking that he looked a lot like he wanted to go look for the source of the trail. Part of her suddenly felt adventurous, but the other part of her felt apprehensive. What if it was a monster? What if they met Bloody Flanks out there? But...what if it was something super cool that no one had ever seen before?
She edged her way closer to get a better whiff of the scent trail. As the strange stench hit her nose, she heard the voice of another mare expressing her disdain for the crowd's attention nearby.
"Ugh," she muttered under her breath. "I'm intrigued, but this is probably not going to end well."

Marea Mare / Traveling Merchant / War-Forged
By the time Marea had pulled on her saddle bags and put a few essentials inside - not forgetting her newly forged dagger, as this was a morning she may surely have use for it - it seemed all of Skeldr had heard the news. Some strange beast had trespassed right through the heart of town, and not one horse had seen or heard a single thing, nor could any two agree on what creature had made the peculiar trail in the first place.
Marea dared not make any assumptions on what made the tracks until she had more evidence to consider. After all, even the dullest horse could plant fake tracks. She was more concerned about an individual who could not only plant fake tracks, but could do so entirely undetected in the midst of Skeldr Town. What with the reappearance of those damned Bloody Flanks, Marea was leaning more so on the idea of this whole thing being a ruse rather than a mythic apparition slinking through town in the night.
By the time the merchant had reached the site of the prints, a proper group was gathered around, along with a matching conglomeration of ideas and emotions surging through the party at varying volumes. Marea winced with sympathy as she spotted one of the recipients of the Flanks' hospitality amongst them, the sight only serving to further bolster both her distaste and suspicion of the clan.
Marea was not surprised to find that she had never crossed paths with any of the other horses before her; it wasn't often she had time for socializing with others in her herd, save for a few close friends, as she was usually on the road. Drawing closer, Marea quietly proposed an answer to the grey mare's question, "Deception has my bet."

The Large mare couldn't believe the guile and stupidity of the horses around her, with one horse seeming to be the only one with any clue whatso ever... and even then it was stretching it, "You're all thick" she hissed at them, ears pinned flat against her head, "It's just a ploy to scare the lot of you, petty words it is. Some stray wolf probably came right through here and some Joker made the whole thing up". The looks she got were well in the normal range of expressions she normally received for her words, her typically blunt words; how she hated most everyone in Warforged
Flicking her short tail she proceeded to stomp her back legs, anyone in that vicinity moving back out of the way, "The mountains are dangerous enough with all these Bloody Flanks hanging around so do you really think it's clever to go out and search for some imaginary new beast that is indeed just a wolf that could potentially rip us all apart hmm? I mean really, and I thought you were all alot smarter then that... turns out I was wrong" she gaze an indignant snort at the end of her little speech, frown bent inwards as far as it could go

Kiger
"Deception has my bet."
Kiger had been thinking about it when the other mare from before started getting riled up again. She tried her best to keep her expression neutral as she glanced back behind her at the larger horse, but couldn't help from preventing a flash of annoyance from making itself known. Whatever, she thought. She had enough background to know it wasn't merely just wolf or bear tracks, or worse, and...
"Well, I have faith in our raiders enough to know that there's no way a sane wolf would've come this far within the town limits without notice--" she began in annoyance, then quickly snapped her mouth shut. Except it was too late--the words were already out. Oh gods, me and my big mouth--surely they're staring at me now!
She quickly tried to change topics in embarrassment, "S-suppose it was deception; there must be a motive. Is this supposed to be a trap? At most, it would've only caught a handful of horses. What's the point of scaring us? Hasn't the herd faced worse than some weird tracks? And...and how does a horse lay so much track without leaving a single trace of themselves behind? Surely no respectable familiar-owner would let his pet get so...rank. Uh, also...knowledge is always power...?"
Kiger trailed off in uncertainty. She knew that if it were just her...depending on the time of day, and her general mood, she would've most likely gone exploring. Though she was also painfully aware of the fact that she'd immediately come charging back screaming at the top of her lungs at the first possible sign of being followed. Gods, I shouldn't have talked so much. Should've kept it to myself. Probably just made everything a whole lot worse. Oh my gods. Now I'm gonna get beat up. Kaia, please don't let her beat me up. Ugh, but she was getting on my nerves. Double ugh, I shouldn't be mean to herd members--we're all in it together, right? Gotta remember that now, mama's gone after all--NO. Don't think about mama. Damn it, Kiger. You need to just shut up, she berated herself, shifting her weight uneasily.

Greer | Stationary Merchant (rank change pending)
She had caught a few in the crowd staring at her and cursed herself for buying a cloak that didn't cover up the bandages she had to keep over her wound to keep the poisoned skin from receiving an infection. She spent a few moment studying the scent of the prints but just couldn't place it for her life. Finally she gave up, lifting her head and glancing at the others who had also chosen to dwell on the prints. "Deception has my bet." Piped up a beautifully marked chestnut. Just then another mare chose to speak, her words snapping against Greer like a whip.
"Are you so dull?" Greer asked after a smaller black mare spoke tentative words. "I'll have you know that this mare is right." She said, limping to the black mare she was trying desperately to recall the name of. "This herd is a proud one, and a smart one. There is no way that someone who lives in town could have done this without leaving a trace. And this is certainly no familiar i have ever seen and i get most anyone as a customer in my shop." She said, her head high to meet the eyes of the taller mare before her. "Are you afraid that it could be something that we have not seen before, that may be threatening this herd? I am not. I have seen what the enemies of war forged have to hold and if i had to face them again, i would do so without a second thought." Greer growled, her head high and proud, perhaps too much. "Now, snapping at your fellow war-forged is not how you will make your point, it will only agitate those around you. We have to band together now, more than ever what with the reappearance of the bloody flank." She spoke, her tone softer now.

Marea Mare / Traveling Merchant / War-Forged
"I too disagree on it being simple wolf tracks," Marea added, lowering her brow slightly as the draft mare finished her latest tirade. "I still believe this is an intentional ploy by someone, though who it could be is beyond me. Of course, suspicion would naturally fall to the Bloody Flanks, though this kind of ruse is beyond them, I would think," she continued, "Any attempt by them would surely lack the subtlety of mysterious tracks made silently during the night; I can't imagine any of their lot being able to creep quietly through town laying down fake prints without succumbing to their urges for violence and open conflict."
Marea watched with interest as the scene unfolded further, the injured grey mare defiantly stepping up the irate draft with no hesitation was impressive indeed. The mare who had also tried to disagree with the draft seemed to shrink back now, letting herself meld into the crowd once again. There was no doubt in Marea's mind that the instigator of this ruse would be reveling with delight at the results; herd members were already turning on each other in an attempt to find out what - or who - had left these foul tracks. The chestnut herself was eager to find an answer, and quickly. It was a tumultuous time to be a War-Forged. The Warlord needed to re-establish her control over the herd, and these Bloody Flanks had to be dealt with before they got their heads together enough to become a true problem. Partly to herself, and partly to those in the crowd, Marea stated, "Speculation gets us nowhere. I for one would like to know for certain, and witness with my own eyes the culprit behind these tracks."

Nimerah WF | Medic The young mare stood quietly, her eyes wide with worry, her lips sucked in. This seemed to be turning into an argument, very quickly. Nimerah's green eyes darted from the large bay mare, with rather rude accusations, to the other two mares that opposed her. Nim had opened her mouth to speak earlier, but the escalating heat between the mares shut her up. She had to agree with the grumpy mare though... All this fuss over some silly tracks? Yet she was just as intrigued by them as the others probably were. What could it have been? Should they go find out?
She eyed the quiet stallion with the bright purple horns. He'd seemed to have been observing them, both the tracks, and now this squabble. The sooty mare turned her ears back, and took a quick, deep breath. She had to do something before this clash got out of hand. "Guys, guys... please, calm down." Her sweet voice calmly pleaded. "Lets not get all worked up over this, okay?" The unicorn mare gazed over each their faces, with a somewhat caring expression. She locked her eyes with that of the large paint mare. "There's no need to get all angry with each other over some tracks." She didn't directly speak to the large mare, but didn't look away yet either. "If perhaps some of you don't like whats going on here, you should leave." She said the last bit while once again looking over the others as well.
'There, I'm being sensible...' Nim thought nervously, awaiting to either be ignored, or bashed with an arrange or bitterness. She quietly eyed the dark stallion across from her again, hoping he would pipe in, perhaps back her up? Words: 287 Post: 2

Killian | Stationary Merchant
Killian shook his feathers out in agitation, the crowds of larger horses making navigating the roads rather annoying. He thanked whatever god was listening that he'd inherited a stationary shop; if he had to come down here every day and set up wares in this crowd, he probably would sell himself into slavery.
The stallion trotted along, a nice cup of coffee on the mind, until he suddenly heard rather loud bickering through the throngs of horses. His ears perked curiously. "Outta the way," he growled irratibaly as he tried to force his way through the crowds toward the commotion. Eventually, he made it just to the end of the cobblestone road, where path and town gave way to snow and forest. As he practically fell into the circle of characters, Killian saw a brindle mare, Nim if he remembered from town gossip, trying to calm the group down.
Killian's eyes darted between the group in confusion. "What are you all shouting about?" he blurted before his eyes fell on the strange footprints. Without waiting for a response, he ducked forward and gave them a tentative sniff before yanking his head back. "Ew," he said flatly, flaring his notrils.

Killiah WF | Travelling Merchant 'Just a warning Killiah can be offensive sometimes! It's not me just her so please don't get offended by what she says, i have no grudge against anyone ^^ all offence is to the characters not you personally okay!'
"How can you have faith in a bunch of pansies who can't even protect your own hide!". Now Killiah was angry, all this mess and for what?, to be attacked in the streets, "The bloody flanks attack us in our own home, hurting horses in the street, how can you have faith when our own soil is being invaded" the large mare shook her head, ears pinned back at the irritation that had now grown in the gathered horses. The dark stallion had yet to say a word and now some short pig of a thing came rudely blundering in... what was next? Was some old drunk fool going to share his opinion too
It wasn't long before another mare, a thin wirey thing with a limp, came at her with an ass full of words, her head screwed on so tight it was coming out her rear end, "You're shop has nothing to do with anything!" She hissed back at Greer, "So if you are so willing to lay down your life then go ahead I wont stand in your way, but you should know that all you get if a face full of wolf fangs... it'll be an improvement", the last bit was alot quieter, her lips twisting as she averted her gaze from the other mare; even Nimerah's soft words weren'tenough to dull her sharp edge, "if it means so much to everyone why don't you go follow the track then, I'll happily follow to prove I'm right... that and someone needs to protect all the pretty mare". She shot Nimerah a flirty look, eyebrows raised in interest

The tracks and the sharp, alien smell that accompany them are too significant to ignore. Follow them... and keep your wits about you. There's no telling where the trail leads, or to what.

With his face practically in the snow, Judiah hadn't exactly realised that the crowd from the earlier hours was appearing around im once more. It was only when he heard the bickering and snide remarks from a few horses that he lifted his head, quickly turning around to face the others that gathered around the weird-ass tracks. Frowning slightly, he raised his eyebrows and followed the conversation with his eyes, opening his mouth multiple times to interject but only to be inturrupted. Letting out a huff, he continued to listen to the conversation. Did they really think it was just wolf tracks?? I mean, Judiah didn't have the best eye sight but these horses must have been really blind!
It was only when the Brindle Unicorn spoke that Judiah could finally get his two cents in "Listen, we definitely shouldn't be getting so riled up, I agree," he said, nodding at the medic and noticing the pleading look in her eyes "But there's no denying that these tracks are super weird, I mean... I've never in my life seen a wolf with those kind of feet! I'd feel bad for the poor guy if I did!" he joked, letting out a small laugh " If you really are absolutely positively sure that these are wolf tracks, then you've got nothing to worry about! Go home and have a beer. But In my mind, these definitely aren't your average everyday tracks...And I'm determined on figuring out what these are" he added in a lower tone. Turning, he looked at the tracks a final time before stepping out into the snow, a shiver going up his spine. He followed them for a little bit, before stopping and turning "Anyone coming with!?" he yelled cheerily, a grin on his face, hiding his nervousness.
Turning his head once more, Judiah continued to move forward in the shallow snow, His smile slipping slightly as he wondered what was ahead. He prayed that whatever it was wouldn't be a carnivor...or at least wouldn't be hungry!

Emerin >|Stationary Merchant|<
Although Emerin had been fashionably late to the event of which was happening. It seems the incident was close to her main shop in the plaza. She couldn't resist not seeing for herself of course. The large bay roan tabiano mare made her way. The morning air pinched her muzzle and cheeks. Her hooves sank in the snow that was randomly patched on the cobble stone pathways. She held her head up high as she noticed where everyone was standing and debating. Emerin pushed her way through to see what the commotion was really about. She of course politely said, "Excuse me." and quickly caught the sent, however Emerin of course went over the scenarios in her head of what the others has proclaimed. She wasn't sure but all she could do was fallow the stinky tracks to solve the problem.
"Come on guys there is no time to waste. We must find where these tracks came from. The prints are still somewhat fresh." Being a business woman Emerin had no time to discuss and theorize what and why something got past her notice. Things like this involves action and investigation. She knew her herd couldn't have possibly not noticed this creature coming...

Marea Mare / Traveling Merchant / War-Forged
Marea suppressed a shiver of excitement as the stallion declared he would follow the tracks, inviting any of those gathered around to join him. Of course it was a matter of business more so than adventure; the herd couldn't afford to leave a strange beast - or strange meddler, as Marea suspected - unattended and free to wander through War-Forged territory. And, of course, she was intent on accompanying this stallion and whomever else may decide to pursue these tracks into the wilds.
"I'll join you," the chestnut mare stated, flicking her tail before sidling around the undisturbed prints to join the unicorn stallion. She waited a moment before adding, "My name is Marea," loudly enough that those gathered could pick up on it as well. She wasn't interested in wasting time on pleasantries while the trail grew ever colder as the seconds lapsed.
As they hesitated to depart, Marea wondered who else would join their search party. Another mare who had just appeared seemed intent on joining, but Marea dared not hazard a guess on what the draft mare might decide; she already seemed perturbed by the attention the tracks were drawing. The others, however, seemed more interested to varying degrees. The more the merrier in this case, she decided, considering the high chance that the object of their search would indeed be something dangerous. Of course more horses would invariably lead to more discourse, but none among them were trained fighters. Sure, Marea could defend herself to an extent, but no one knew what was in store for them.

Greer | Stationary Merchant (rank change pending)
If it wasn't for her injured shoulder, Greer didn't know if she would have been able to stop herself from biting the mares head off. Sure, she wasn't very violent unless she had to be but her anger had always been unpredictable. So she stood idle, keeping an eye on the one who had insulted her. A few others showed up in due time, due to either the arguing, or the tracks. Some believed them to be fake, planted by a mischief maker, or something that needed to be investigated; Greer being the latter.
As Judiah spoke, she thought back to what he had done for her after the bloody flank came and knew that despite her injury, she would join him on an expedition to uncover the creature that had snuck into town that night. "Well I'm not about to let you have all the fun." Greer said with a grin, taking a few larger steps to catch up with him and match his stride. She silently prayed to Kaia that whatever it was, the War Forged would be prepared.

Kiger
Wow, she stuck up for me? Kiger thought somewhat wildly, taking note of the speaker. It was the mare with the limp, and if she remembered right from the hubbub a few months ago, then it was probably one of those that the Bloody Flanks had threatened. Whoa. Needless to say, today was not one of those days where one would expect that a morning walk meant meeting a local star--ahem...a victim of newsworthy threats? ...but it had turned out to be one of those days.
While the other horse had stepped in to argue with the bigger one, she'd awkwardly tried to blend back in, which didn't really work. A pretty medic she'd seen before (though, only in passing) was trying to get everyone to calm down...and shortly after, a grumpy pegasus had squeezed in and got a face full of the tracks. "Ew!" And then another local merchant nosed her way in, and still more civilians were chattering in clumps in the background...
So naturally, Kiger wasn't 100% paying attention to the awkward proceedings when the horned stallion finally got a word in; however, she did suddenly find herself saying, "I'll go with you! I-I'd be Kiger."
...which she almost instantly regretted when the full realization sunk in. By then, it was way too late. She even snapped back to reality to find herself already a few paces behind, causing her to almost stumble like an idiot. Almost.
WAIT WHAT DID I JUST AGREE TO???!! she nearly screeched, but then calmed herself by focusing on making sure her feet were all moving. Specifically, in unison. Okay, not bad, you got a travel team! Unlike your other dumb wilderness outings...she grimaced as one hoof slid into an invisible pothole.

Nimerah WF | Medic Nimerah's ears pulled back as the paint draft mare rudely continued to insult the group, especially the poor limping mare, who might be tougher then she looked. Completely ignoring her attempt to civilize the conversation. 'Gee, what crawled up her butt this morning? Or she always this lovely?' The sooty mare thought with rolling eyes as she listened to the draft mare's claims of it still being wolf tracks. 'Really.... wolf tracks? How long have you been living here? Have you ever seen wolf tracks before?' The bay mares attitude was really getting on Nim's nerves, but she tried to shake it off. The last bit of the draft mare's words, however, caught Nimerah's attention. 'Pretty mare?' She thought with a raised eyebrow, and regretted making eye contact with the large paint mare. Her flirty, gesturing, near eyebrow wiggle, made Nim blush in awkward embarrassment. She returned a painful smile and quickly looked away, focusing on the brindle stallion as he finally spoke.
He gave her a sense of authority, and she nodded in agreement to his every statement. She blinked twice when he started to move into the forest line, jokingly asking for company. Out of the blue, 3 of the mares that had been part of the crowd joined him, and Nim felt a pressuring sense of intense curiosity and adventure, riling up her insides. Should she join them? She looked back at the town behind them, and bit her bottom lip. She didn't really have other plans for today, as it was her day off... But she really should go past the library to get some herbalist books to study... She turned her head back to watch the small fellowship move further trough the snow. This seemed way more fun though...
She took a deep breath, flung her forelock out of her face, before following the small group with a high tail of excitement. 'Who knows, they might need a medic?' She thought to herself, somewhat using it as an excuse. "Wait up guys! I'm joining too!" Words: 340 Post: 3

Killian | Stationary Merchant
Killian watched the horses bicker amongst themselves a while longer, lip curling in annoyance at the bit broad's flirtatious comment, uncomfortable with her open display.
He attempted to interject, but kept getting spoken over... something that caused Killian's ears to flatten angrily. One thing that he didn't take kindly to was being ignored. His wings beat irritably as he darted forward, tossing snow behind his stubby legs. "So you're in charge here?" he barked at the larger stallion, the only other male in the group. He seemed familiar, and Killian knew he'd seen him around Skeldr... probably even in his shop once or twice in his life. But there were many horses in Skeldr town, and Killian couldn't put a name to his face. This guy was huge compared to Killian, but that didn't stop the tiny stallion from raising his voice. "What are you, some kind of Raider? Shouldn't you be dealing with those Bloody Flanks?"
Killian didn't realize truly what he was getting himself into. His coffee was long forgotten, and so was the weirdness of the tracks. All he cared about was being heard, and poor Judiah seemed like the only one about to listen.

Deeper into the forest, an old giant was finishing his breakfast.
It had been some time since Faust made the trek to Skeldr. He avoided it for as long as he could. He hated the horses down in their little shops, content in playing out their pathetic little lives, but he’d have to endure if he wanted restock his booze reserve and he did. Desperately. A good strong ale was pretty much the only thing keeping the old stallion alive, well that in addition to pure spite against the warlord and the rest of her breed.
The voyage was always shittier than he remembered. The summer heat clung to his matted coat and amplified his already strong musk, which in turn, had drawn out a small swarm of horseflies to his body. One flew up Faust nose and shot it out in a snotty huff.
Blast this heat and the confounded insects that come with it!
The flies were irritating enough to drive Faust to action and leave to begin the last bit of hike he had before he reached town. He left his camp unpacked since he planned on returning in the evening but took the time to stomp the remanding embers out from his fire.
Then, just a few minutes into his journey, Faust was halted by a fowl, aroma. It took a second to realize the source. Strange tracks had crossed his path. He craned his thick neck to study them but couldn’t remember if he had ever seen anything like them before. A low groan rumbled from his throat as he thought. The track were intriguing, surely they lead to a beast worth killing. A smirk cracked across his maw.
The booze could wait. This day just got a whole lot more interesting.

Killiah WF | Travelling Merchant 'Just a warning Killiah can be offensive sometimes! It's not me just her so please don't get offended by what she says, i have no grudge against anyone ^^ all offence is to the characters not you personally okay!'
It wasnt too long into the end of the conversation that the dark stallion chimed in, offering to follow the tracks in heed of what could be at the end of them. Afew mares followed after him, interested in an adventure or rather just getting out of the throng of an argument; Killiah was apart of said argument, watching with a frown as most of the mares hanging around chased off after Judiah... though she was pleased to see the faint blush over the brindled mares face, 'Excellent' the large mare thought flicking her tail
"Lead the way gorgeous", tossing her head Killiah followed after the little group and into the trees, doing her best to keep close to the mares 'for protection' or so she says. "Just to keep you safe, there seems to be an utter lack of males so someone has to step up", she gave a little smirk as she picked her feet up, stomping the fresh powder down with large heavy shoes, "Killiah waits for no one, follow the tail wherever it goes!"

Glancing backwards, Judiah couldn't help but grin as he saw one after another slowly begin to rush forward to catch up with him or slowly walk behind. He was glad people were coming, and felt extreme relief as the thought of him finding this creature and possibly having to fight it disappear. He flicked his ears to the first mare that Introduced herself; Mare. Smiling still, Judiah nodded his head "I'm Judiah, or flower boy as most people call me" he laughed, remembering the various times merchants had yelled out the nickname to draw his attention to their wares. Opening his mouth, Judiah was about to speak again when suddenly a cloud of wings was flapping in front of his face. Stopping momentarily, he looked down at the smaller pony, cocking a brow at him as he began to angrily puff up and yell at him...it was pretty cute... if you pushed away the angry yelling. Shaking his head, Judiah let out a chuckle "I never said I was the leader-" he managed to get out before the pegasus piped up again. Licking his lips, Judiah almost flinched as he was called a raider, remembering back to when those two Bloody Flanks had shot Gree and taken another hostage. He didn't want to be roped in with those kinds of people. Flaring his nostrils, Judiah shook his head "I'm a merchant just like you, a travelling one. I don't stay in Skeldr for more than two weeks at a time...I'm not your typical 'War-Forged power house'" he snorted, trying to lighten up his own mood with a joke.
Shaking his head, Judiah glanced over to the mar had given him 'help me' eyes, and then to the one who seemed to be semi-flirting with her...if you could call it that. Opening his mouth, he was about to address the pegasus again when a new scent entered his nose; that of another horse. Lifting his head, Judiah blew his bangs away from his face and slowed down when he saw the mountain of a horse standing just ahead of them, nose to the ground and taking in the scent of the strange tracks. Smiling faintly, Judiah continued forward with the others, clearing his throat he spoke "Weird tracks, eh? They lead up from Skeldr town...Seems whatever this creature is slipped past you too, huh."

Greer | Stationary Merchant (rank change pending)
Greer walked shoulder to shoulder with Judiah, keeping a close eye on the path of the tracks to make sure they didn't lose them. "I wonder....do you think those are claw marks?" She asked, nodding to a tree which ad three thick, long scrapes down the bark. She stopped for a moment studying the raw wood under the rough brown surface of the tree. She sniffed it, inhaling the awful scent that it shared with the tracks. "Whatever it is, it left these too." She said, nodding as she returned to the path. Her shoulder was becoming more and more agitated so she focused her weight on her other three legs. Looking over her back, she took a mental photo of the group to make sure they didn't lose anyone before she even knew they had been on the small expedition as well.
The small black mare was behind Greer, and she decided that once they had a chance, she would introduce herself. Next was the brindle unicorn mare who had tried to calm her and that nasty draft earlier who had proceeded to flirt with the unicorn. Then Greer noticed the insulted herself not far off. Ugh. She just had to come along, didn't she. A small pegasus was also following not far behind Judiah and she had only noticed the short one after he piped up rather loudly. Then there was Emerin, a mare she had only seen a few times around town when picking up supplies for the shop. Only a passing word or two. She could see the painted chestnut mare as well and hoped that she would keep an eye out for the others; Greer could tell she had a good head on her shoulders.
Greer finally turned back forward, coming to a stop once she spotted a figure in their path. He was huge, much larger than herself. He had a broken horn and matted fur but his disheveled looks fit his solemn, life hardened facial expression. She couldn't help but wonder what he had looked like once upon a time but quickly went back to examining him thoroughly, taking in all of the details from his wide cracked hooves to his scattered scarring. Glancing down at her shoulder for a moment, she wondered if she would look like that one day.
"Hello, I am Greer," She introduced herself, taking a step forward and immediatley regretting it as a new stench hit her nostrils and it was certainly not from the tracks. He was surrounded by flies! "Might you inform me who you are?" She asked, cocking an eyebrow as she looks up at him with withdrawn eyes.

Emerin >|Stationary Merchant|<
Emerin looked up finally and looked toward the small group gathered around the suspicious track marks. Her ears ficlked forward as a expression of emebarassment crossex her face. "My apologies, most of you are probably wondering who i am." She chuckled nervously. "My name is Emerin. I have a small shop in the plaza." She smiled knowing that they would connect the dot to what her rank was. She did however notice a few familiar faces in the crowd. Her ears perked as the herd started announcing their names. She sorta caught a few but wasnt sure untill they had responed to her.
Emerin eyes widened when the other mare point out the claw marking. Em walked over to the place and lowere her nose to get the scent again. She wasnt sure that the creature came from Skedlr town. " Im unsure that the creature came from Sekdlr town. It could have came from much further than Sekdlr town. But then again i could be wrong." She noticed the lack of stallions within the group. Maybe this was her time to prove herself worthy of something more than just a mere stationary merchant.

“Oh, for fucks sake.”
Faust’s hunt was unwelcomingly interrupted by the makeshift band of travelers. He looked over the eight of them, his warrior instincts telling him to single out any signs of a threat, but there was none. None of these horses were worthy enough of that honor. There were only two stallions among the whole horde, if he could call them stallions at all. The short spotted one looked more like a winged pig than a horse and the Dark one who had addressed him, and seemed to be leading the party, may have been somewhat troubling, but the flowers he adorned himself in told Faust otherwise.
So we have a pansy, a pig, and a crapload of squabbling mares, fucking fantastic.
Faust raised his head and the corner of his upper lip in disgust, flashing them all a good look of his rotted teeth. So this is what the War-Forged have turned into? Pathetic. These horses had no business in these woods, tracking his prey.
“The Creature is mine.” Faust spat in his deep gravely voice to the dark stallion. Then he turned to the skinny grey mare who had announced herself as Greer. “And what makes you think I give a damn about what your name is wench? Better the lot of you turn your asses around and head back for town. The beast will be taken care of, I assure you.”
He did not care to give his name and he did not care to learn any of theirs. His mind was old and Faust didn’t have room to fill it with useless information, plus the company was far from wanted.

Greer | Stationary Merchant (rank change pending)
Greer was momentarily shocked by his horrible attitude and disgusted grimace but her open mouthed expression was soon back to a calm and somewhat skeptical facial expression. He was exactly the kind of War-Forged she dreaded. In her eyes, he was pathetic and she would take the company of that rude draft mare who said she would look better with a face full of wolf teeth over some old fogey who thought they still had it. She took another limping step forward, her pale blue eyes squinting at him.
"I asked for you name, not for an insult. You have no such claim, and i assure you my ass will not be heading back to town despite what you may believe about a wench like myself." She hissed, standing as straight and tall as she could in the face of such a huge beast. "These tracks raise concern and we have every right to investigate them as you do, despite being just....townsfolk." She said with a dramatic sigh. "Now please, move aside so we can be on our way, or join us." She said with a completely fake, yet inviting grin.

Nimerah WF | Medic "Lead the way, gorgeous."
Nimerah cocked her head back to see who the draft mare was referring too, but pulled a face of annoyance as she realized she ment her. Nim craned her neck away, as the draft joined her side, rambling on about what not, but Nim wasn't interested. She ignored the large mares words completely, and picked up her pace to get closer to the others up front. She caught the names, Marea, Greer and Judiah, and she smiled at the dark mare called Kiger as she joined her side. "Eh, I'm Nimerah, If anyone cares to know," She said with a smiling greeting, ment for everyone to hear, even the little pegasus who'd joined them now. "I'm new in town, since a couple weeks, so..." She said as a matter of fact, meaning it as an excuse for not knowing any of the equine present.
Nimerah eagerly made her way, following the small group into the forest. She made sure not to mess with the tracks, and kept her eyes on them as they went. She heard Greer pointed out some marks on a tree, and Nim's eyes flew open. 'Well... that's not a wolf... for sure... and those not look like antler marks, either.' The sooty mares brow frowned with worry. 'Perhaps it was one of those dragons from Aodh? Maybe one got lost...?' That idea seemed plausible, as she didn't know their smell or tracks.
She noticed the group came to a halt, and Judiah spoke to, what seemed a bear, in front of them. It was no bear... although it smelled like one. Nimerah had always been warned about these kind of brutes living in Skeldr, by the farm volk down below. As a filly, Nim knew better, and said the herd up here was just like the herds anywhere. But this stallion, right in front of them, seemed to have walked straight out of some child scarring fairy tail. By only looking at him, Nimerah could name several medical conditions this beast was probably suffering from.
The gruff voice suited his appearance, and what words it formed even more so. Rude as they may be, she didn't really expect anything else. Not like she would listen to him though. But before she could open her mouth, the limping mare, Greer, spoke her mind. Even though Nimerah felt great respect for Greer's bravery, she felt a little annoyed everyone got into arguments so easily... Words: 412 Post: 4
