Evokar || War Forged || Stone Circle
His heart sank when he had caught wind of the pleas from his home village around The Narrows. Thieves and Vagabonds have been attacking, it made his heart ache for them all. That was his home, his family. Everything that made him who he was, was there. So Evokar took it upon himself to answer the call of the equine. To hear their pleas and do what he could to aid them. Evokar had chosen a few equine to help him on this call. A healer, and a few fighters willing to do what was needed for the sake of the herd.
As soon as the group had gathered they were off racing towards The Narrows to help aid those in need and to bring the criminals of such crime to justice. These were hard times, and Evokar feared it was going to be more difficult in the future. Leading the team out, he moved onwards, but suddenly skidded to a sudden fault, and his dropped ever more. The Bridge… the bridge was down. Evokar stared at it for a moment, a fine reminder, nothing was ever as perfect as it seemed. He recalled being told of this bridge, to help aid them, but they didn't have enough horses to fix it, and now, now look at it…. Look.
He squinted a bit and snorted a bit, was someone in there? Oh gods be gracious, there was someone in there. “Someone go and check out the Bridge, everyone else keep your guard up, we may not be alone out here.” he remarked as he looked to them all with a nod, and soon was eyein his surroundings, hoping nothing was amiss. Yet with the bridge down and possible equine hurt, he had a bad feeling about this, but his luck as of late, bad things tended to follow him. Kaia, let this go peacefully.

Anna «--» Warforged «--» Medic
There was trouble in, from what she had heard –or payed attention to, depending on how you look at it– villages where having trouble with more crime and this Circle member was here to recruit the current group to help; furthermore, the horses were making good time on their way to the Narrows; as Anna had been called upon to travel with the group as their resident medic, and she was not going to let anyone lag behind and waste valuable time. That is, they were making good time until Evokar slid to a stop in front of them. Everyone else slowed down, Anna quickly finding her view blocked by the others. Then Evokar spoke, sounding perhaps the slightest worried. No, perhaps not. “Someone go and check out the Bridge, everyone else keep your guard up, we may not be alone out here.” Anna sighed a bit before speaking up,
"I'll go check the bridge." The pony mare snorted grumpily, shaking out her mane as she shouldered past the whole group. Her height making it almost comical that she pushed others around, but her attitude making up for the lost inches. Her hooves took her closer to the cracked and crumbling edge of the broken piece of architecture. She could quite clearly see, it looked like... maybe two equine. There didn't appear to be any mortal injuries, at least from what Anna could make out by scanning the horses' heads and along their necks and backs. Unfortunately, they looked quite entrapped under the rubble in the small chasm.
"Identify yourselves... as well as any injuries you feel I have not already seen." Anna shook her mane before stepping onto a bit of the crumbling bridge, careful not to put too much weight on it. She peered over the edge, taking in account the ridge and the pile of rubble at the bottom; looking over the horse's builds to see how fit they would be to perhaps rescue.
The only curious thing about said situation? She didn't recognize any of the horses. She flicked an ear, dismissing the thought for now as it was easy to miss some of the more mobile clans, and glanced back at the waiting group.

Deyanira - Vagabonds - Hedgewitch
"Ugh what happened," Deyanira muttered to herself as she struggled to opened her eyes and took in her surroundings. Her head pulsed with pain and so did various parts of her body. Dust in air from the broken bridge pieces obscured her vision and the sound of a stream flowing rung in her ears. She looked around trying to figure out what had happened. One second she was walking next to Zemora, the next- "Wait Zemora!" Deyanira gasped as everything came back to her in a rush.
Her and Zemora walking on the bridge, a loud cracking noise, and then the horrible feel of falling. Instantly she felt a need to know of her traveling companion's condition, to know if she was alright. Deyanira fought through the pain of the fall and tried to get back up but found herself unable to, one of the bridge's beams pressing down on her back left leg. She called out, "Zemora? Zemora!" But quickly regretted that as she heard other voices.
She looked up as Anna yelled down "Identify yourselves... as well as any injuries you feel I have not already seen." Deyanira froze, not only had they gotten injured during their journey they had also failed at passing through the village discreetly.

Icabod ~ War-Forged ~ Raider Icabod took up the tail end of the group he traveled with. He had no clue who most of these horses were. Of course he knew Evokar from the Stone Circle and the fact that he had some sort of relationship with Fox, but that was about it. He let his thoughts wander as he trudged along. Obviously, it was just his luck to get caught up in one of the most boring jobs possible. Icabod made a mental note to hunt for Hira after this whole thing went down and speak with her about his position. But, for the time being the stallion was stuck building bridges and protecting the pathetic little ponies of his herd that weren't tough enough to be as nomadic as him.
Icabod was pulled from his thoughts when the others stopped. He practically stepped on the pony of the group at how abrupt it had been. The roan stallion snorted at the way she pushed through like she was all that. Typical pony mindset, in his eyes at least.
The raider took it upon himself to check the collapsed bridge as well. He trotted past the rest of his group to look at the rubble. He frowned at the sight. Not one, but two sad vagabonds trapped beneath the wreckage. Icabod looked down carefully. There had to be a way up. "Don't worry, we'll get you out of there!"

|| Z e m o r a ||It was a brisk cold day. Snow flew from the tops of the mountains, icing her muzzle and fetlock joints. She was hoping to be underneath a good warm roof with something hot to drink by the end of the evening. On her way she had come across another Hedgewitch traveling in the same direction. Zemora was glad for the company for once. These parts of Onea were always better traveled with one or more companions. You never know when one hoof step could be your last.
And unfortunately she had come to the perfect example of such a situation. A bridge expanded across a decent sized mountain stream, it looked worn and weather-beaten, but than again so did most of Onea's bridges. Zemora though nothing of it as she began to put her first steps onto he bridge. "Deyanira, be careful where you step. I think this bridge has seen better days." Zemora's usually steady nerves began to crack when she heard a sharp snap in the distance. She looked behind her at the Zorse and tried to warn her not to come out any further. But her words were left above her as the whole bridge gave out.
The river was shockingly cold. Her worn muscles froze up instantly making it impossible for the unicorn to dodge falling debris. She let out a swear as a piece fell on her hip. Her old wound was already throbbing, but it seemed she could still twist and move her front left leg. That was promising. Suddenly through the pain and numbness settling in Zemora remembered Deyanira. Frantically she stretched her neck behind and around her.
"Deya! Deyanira! Where are you? Are you hurt?!" Her voice broke with the chattering of her teeth. But she feared for her companion. A fall like that could have easily left a broken neck or snapped vertebrae. She held hope that the young mare was more resilient than herself. And suddenly she heard her voice, "Deyanira! I'm all right, just a little stuck. Are you as well?" The mare didn't respond back, Zemora's ears picked up the reason why: thudding hoof beats. She stared up into the grey sky searching the chasm edges. Suddenly a small golden head poked over the edge and shouted down to the two stranded Hedgewitches.
She was awefully demanding, Zemora denoted. And seeing their cover had already been compromised and that both of them were stuck under a bridge she could do nothing else but respond. "I don't have time for a game of twenty question! My fellow companion and I are trapped under the remains of this bridge. I think she may be seriously hurt! Please help us!" Her pain was starting to cloud her social etiquette. Breathing between her teeth she tried to move her leg from beneath the weight of the rubble. She swore again at the impossibility of the task if done solely by herself. So grudgingly she spoke again, "I'm sorry my name is Zemora. I'm in a lot of pain. It's hard to think straight with a bridge on top of you and hypothermia setting in!" Her voice resounded menacingly around the chasm. Zemora hoped this was welcomed help.

Anna «--» Warforged «--» Medic The first mare, Deyanira, that Anna looked at appeared to be more injured than the other, almost looking dazed. Perhaps it was a wound hidden from Anna's eyes. She scanned the horse again before Icabod appeared at her side. It was Icabod's abrupt passing of her that irked the pony. "Back up Raider and follow directions! Imagine if your weight just brought us both down to join them." She hurriedly stepped away from the edge as the Raider stallion peered over. Instead of wasting her time with him, however, she moved on along the ridge testing the ground for good support. "The group can gather up here... it appears to be steady. Just... watch yourself." The pony mare threw a glare at the Raider, still near the bridge, as she called out. Once again she shook out her mane, letting the soft falling snow shake out of her twines of hair. She drew her cloak around her closer, the white pelt covering her back.
"Don't worry, we'll get you out of there!" What the hell was he thinking? Anna, a medic, was wary of helping them and losing time, they just set her off. Then one called out, Zemora, "I'm in a lot of pain. It's hard to think straight with a bridge on top of you and hypothermia setting in!" Ana flattened her ears before making her way to Evokar.
"Evokar, give the call. We can attempt to rescue them, but it endangers our party and they are strangers and seem more withholding than forthcoming. I don't have half as many supplies as I do at my camp. If we help we'll have to be smart, and follow orders," Anna threw another offed glare at Icabod, still not letting go how quickly the meathead had thrown away instruction to sate his own curiosity or pride.

Darius soared above his fellow travelers, wings beating slowly as he kept pace with the group on the ground below him. They had been going at a quick pace for some time now, responding to reports of trouble around The Narrows, and their leader, Evokar, was quite understandably eager to secure the safety of the little villages that populated the area. Apparently he had grown up here, in the comfortable safety of a tiny town the name of which Darius couldn't quite remember. The group was almost there. Just another short distance, good weather and road conditions permitting, would put them where they needed to be, figuring out what was going on and, hopefully, putting a quick stop to it. He glanced down at the others and pulled up sharply in the air. Below him was a collapsed bridge, with his fellow travelers stranded on the far side. He swooped down towards them, intending to land next to Evokar and see what he could do, but he paused for a moment, staring at the rubble of the broken bridge. Were there horses down there? He changed course again, landing carefully among the scattered stones of the bridge. Once on the ground he could see that indeed, there were two horses. He didn't recognize either of them, but for the moment he wasn't concerned with that. He immediately started helping pull stones off one of the mares, the one who seemed in the most pain. Most of the rocks were too heavy for him to move unaided, however. Up above he could hear Anna's voice, and Ichabod stood above them, the big paint silhouetted against the sky. There was a way down, a narrow series of natural steps in the otherwise sheer walls of the ravine, and Darius thought Ichabod could make it down if he was careful. He released one of the heavier rocks with a grunt and spoke to the trapped mare. "Don't worry, we'll get you out of there. I can't move these, but my friend up there should be able to help. I'll be right back." He stepped backwards and spread his wings, launching himself upwards with powerful sweeps until he was level with the cliff. He landed next to Ichabod with a snort and nodded at him. "I can't move the rocks on my own. There's a way down, if you follow me." He glanced over at Evokar and realized he hadn't consulted their leader. "With your permission I'd like to head back down there, sir."

Evokar The Stone Circle of WarForged
Brows furrowed down a bit, snorting some as he watched the others swarm the bridge checking it out, when he only asked for one to do so and they others to keep watch. His stomach started to turn as it was clear to him, yet... He decided to keep those thoughts to himself for now. He listened to Anna as she spoke and seemed to shake his head faintly. This wasn't good, they were not War Forged, which only left for him to assume they were indeed Vagabonds, but were they the theives harming his family village. Evokar felt the tug on his heart, to the way the blades of grass seem to sway at his hooves as if whispering, or perhaps begging for his call. Instead he stomped his hoof and the grass around him ceased, his mood returning to its calm state. Eyes glanced to Anna and soon to Darius and Icabod, a bit perturbed that no one stayed guard to keep an eye out on another. Anna spoke truthfully and that he was thankful for. " Settle." he remarked out the trapped ones. "We'll get you out of there." he remarked calmly and glanced at Anna nodding, before looking back to the stallions of his group. " Get them out." But then mouthed to them "but don't let them go." It was clear what that meant. Evokar felt his stomach turn as he said those words, though he prayed, prayed to Kaia, please don't let them be Vagabonds. " Let's go then, the sooner we get them out, the sooner we can make way to The Narrows. Don't worry we are here to help you both out, thankfully we found you before the wilds did" he remarked. Though Evokar feared, they wouldn't venture to the Narrows, at least not today. Evokar moved closer to the bridge and glanced out at the wilds around him, thankfully it seemed this wasn't a trap. Soon he was moving bits of the bride apart, hoping they can get them out sooner than later. Knowing he put his own task on hold for this, did not settle well with him, but could he live with himself letting them die there? No, no he couldn't. So there he was trying his best to remove some of the rubble, but he cursed faintly as it seemed this would take them hours if not longer, this bridge was large, and the rubble would make them all sweat. Eyes turned to Anna. " If you need you can gather herbs or anything that could help with healing if you fear we may not have enough. Depending on how hurt they are we may not have the chance to return home to help." he remarked, but it was up to Anna, if she wished to help she could, or if she prefered other ways to help, he allowed that as well. Icabod ~ War-Forged ~ Raider Icabod looked at Anna with a stern glare. She obviously didn't enjoy the fact that he was so ready to rush to help. He grinned happily as Darius agreed with him in helping them. Despite not giving a crap what Evokar had to say, he waited to listen.
Icabod sighed and nodded. "We're coming down to get you!" He called to the two trapped mares. The roan stallion quickly jumped into action. He saw where Darius had been looking. The path down was rough, but nothing he couldn't handle. Icabod grew up in these mountains, he knew them like the top of his hoof. He quickly stretched out his legs, examined the path down, then launched down the trail.
It only took a few careful bounds to reach the bottom. He looked up at the horses remaining on the trail. Their opinions didn't really matter now that he was in the ditch and ready to help. Icabod scanned the rubble that had toppled upon the two strangers.
"Alright. This might hurt, but in the end I swear you'll thank us." Icabod glanced at Darius once again. He made a head motion, gesturing the other to join him. "We need to do this one at a time. If we can get this beam off, then we can help you and your partner back up the ledge." Icabod took hold of one end of the beam and began straining to lift it up.

Checkpoint One: The Vagabonds have pled for assistance, and trespassers or not, the War Forged members can’t simply leave them to die. The two groups begin to formulate and enact plans for clearing the rubble and rescuing the Vagabonds- the bridge and rubble remain unstable, the flowing water straining against the rocks.

|| Z E M O R A ||Above Zemora watched as the small golden head flattened their ears after Zemora's loud request. Zemora flattened hers as well and looked to Deyanira. She turned her neck as far as she could and quietly spoke, "I think we may have gotten ourselves into a predicament. Do you know how to fight?" Zemora was forty-three, but she still knew how to kick down a horse or two. Though honestly their odds weren't good. Both of them were injured and stuck under rubble. Plus they were also outnumbered. "Shit. Scratch that. I think we have to talk our way out of this one. Unless you thought of something better," Zemora chuckled. If only she had brought a sleeping agent with her on this trip.
A deep shadow suddenly covered the two of them in the ravine. A dark pegasus flew out of view than veered down towards them. His huge wingspan blew up gusts of loose gravel and snow as he landed near them. A shiver ran through Zemora's flanks. A hint of worried spread in her mind. She could be acquiring a fever with the wounds and the cold water. Pushing aside she focused on the newcomer.
She eyed him closely and murmured, "Hello. Are you here to help?" He wordlessly began lifting some of the smaller rocks from around Zemora. He relieved one that was causing pressure to her lungs and she heaved a great sigh of relief. But as he tried to move the big one on her hip bone she realized it was too heavy for just one stallion. He turned to her and spoke saying he'd be back with more manpower to move the heavier bits of herself and her traveling companion. He stepped back and shot away into the sky. Zemora squeezed her eyes shut as the powerful wings unsettled more dirt and debris. "You have a lovely pair of wings but it would be nice if you didn't kick up so much dirt. I am trapped under your herd's bridge for Kaia's sake." She grumbled under her breath.
As the dirt settled back around her she looked up and tried to see how many of them there were. Zemora had traveled through War-Forged too many times to count. She had created good friendships with many horses of Onea and had avoided places she wasn't welcomed in. She honestly had thought of this particular area as being off limits. She should have listened to the horses down in the black markets. Shaking her head at her own insolence she continued to try and translate the body language of the horses she could see.
She couldn't quite tell who the leader was out of the group, and none of their faces were her usual familiar clientele. "Have you ever met any of these horses Deyanira?" Apparently they had come to a decision, a large bay stallion leaped down the face of the ravine like a billy goat. Zemora chuckled. What else was expected of Oneans? Fond memories of her days spent in the territory flooded her thoughts and distracted her for a second. But soon all happy feelings were drowned beneath the cold hard truth that there was no escape plan if needed. The stallion was massive. He loomed over the two fallen Hedgewitches and his face wasn't very inviting.
But his words were. "Thank you. We really do appreciate this. And honestly I think by now I should be able to take any sort of pain," Zemora chuckled. She was trying very hard to be likable. She was walking on thin ice here. One wrong turn and she could be imprisoned and on a slave ship to Aodh. "It'd be nice if you could hurry. I'm not as young as I used to be." Even as she said the words she could feel a wave of heat roll through her body. Thank god she had packed a fever reducing herb.
As the large stallion motioned for his winged friend above, Zemora felt the water start to flow faster. She hadn't realized they created a dam with their broken bridge. She heard things fall and shift as well closer to where the water had bottled up. She hoped it was just her overthinking and nothing of real consequence.

Anna «--» Warforged «--» Medic "Disrespectful twat, I can't imagine actually being able to work with you agreeably." Anna swished her tail aiming her pierced words at the goat of a stallion. She began to mutter, eyes still blazing with the radiating arrogance that surrounded the Raider. It didn't help that one of the "birds" also flew down into the ditch without obeying orders. The mare positively shook with only slightly concealed anger. She did not look kindly upon to be talked to in such a way. If she was ever going to respect you, you'd first have to respect her. Fools, they had perhaps been the problem we were sent to solve, trying to escape. Or thoughts like, arrogant ass who can't follow directions and was likely a Raider only because of his stature. Among others as she swayed on her hooves, watching them dart down into the gully without a care in the world.
"If you need you can gather herbs or anything that could help with healing if you fear we may not have enough. Depending on how hurt they are we may not have the chance to return home to help."
"Get them in check, Evokar, I beg, you should very well know that I'll travel ahead alone rather than travel with them... with their delusions; and I am a loyal mare to top it off." The mare flicked an ear before going to the rock face, looking for anything that would aid for the moment, even though she had with her the basics. Turning up unsuccessful the pony mare turned around and made her way to the gully, sliding down it as much as she could without getting herself stuck.
"Alright, Vagabonds, do either of you carry with you herbs. We can pool our stash for the time being." The mare grumbled her words, obviously half hearted in wanting to help the trapped and pissy individuals. She took another step in order to get a better view of the situation before returning to the top of the ridge to join Evokar.
"Sir, it's possible I'll have enough herbs for both of them with some still left over for the trek to the village; but if their injuries are too bad... I'm not wasting time on vagabonds." She shook out her mane again and once again drew her cloak closer around her. Warm brown eyes met fiery orange ones, both seeming the slightest uncertain with what to do with the situation at hand.

Deyanira - Vagabonds - Hedgewitch Deyanira let out a sigh of relief hearing Zemora's voice saying that she was alright. She lifted her head up and looked in the direction from which it came from as Zemora asked about any suggestions of what to do in this situation. Deya whispered back to her, "I may have something that will provide us with a window for escape. The problem is if we can get them to trust us enough to get them to digest it."
She fell silent as Darius landed next to them and begin to help Zemora. She eyed him and quickly came to the conclusion that there was no way a zorse like her could take on a pegasus like him. As he took off she coughed at the dust that his wings kicked up and what started as a small cough soon turned into a coughing fit. The weather starting to take a bit of a toll on her. As soon as Darius was out of earshot she resume whispering to Zemora. "While I was in Eithne a merchant sold me some morning glory seeds. Apparently it causes one to have some strange visual disturbances. If we can slip them into something they're eating or drinking we can run away while they're tripping."
Deyanira looked up as the voices continued to talk to one another. Judging from the different voices and the ones who have appeared in her line of sight, there was about five? Her attention then turned back to Zemora as she asked if Deyanira knew any of them. "Not a clue, to be fair this is my first time back in Onea in five years," She answered.
Her ears perked up as Icabod appeared, "Thank you, we are lucky that you all were passing by!" Thinking that the best bet was to be as kind as possible. Even if it was a bit hard with the attitude of some of them she thought as she heard Anna's grumbles about having herbs. Deyanira responded, "Only you're basic headache and fever relievers." She let out a small laugh as she continued, "Silly me never really thought that I would end up in a situation where knowing more than just the basic herbs would be helpful." Something inside Deyanira told her not to expose herself or her companion being hedgewitches just yet.

Darius helped lift the beam to one side and threw it off the Vagabond mare, taking most of the weight off her side. Some rubble still remained, but those he was able to move quickly with Icabod's help. The mare was now free of the remains of the broken bridge, and didn't seem too horribly hurt, though Darius really couldn't have told if she was. Healing was not his area of expertise, hence why they had to take the grumpy pony, whom he could hear still fussing up above.
To be honest, Darius felt bad for Evokar. The stallion was certainly trying his best, and Darius could admire him for that. It wasn't his fault that the little medic and Icabod didn't get along. A blast of cold air whipped down the ravine and ruffled his feathers as he cantered over to the other mare to start pulling debris off her. She wasn't buried as deeply as her companion had been, and it didn't take as long to free her of the remains of the bridge. He spoke to the mare, icy water running swiftly past his hocks. "Almost done here, just need to move this last rock." He lifted it, nosing it away from her and letting it splash into the water, throwing spray onto his dark coat, where it promptly froze. He sighed and glanced back up the cliff at Evokar and Anna. This was going to be an interesting encounter. Two vagabond mares, clearly hiding something? Again he felt a spike of pity for Evokar.

Icabod ~ War-Forged ~ Raider Icabod smiled as Darius helped him pull the debris from the mare's body. "Thanks for the help." He dipped his head then ran over to help with the other mare. Once they were both clear he returned to the first's side. He examined her carefully. She was definitely scratched an bruised. Nothing that wouldn't heal. "Okay, let's get you two back up the ledge."
The roan stallion was genuinely happy to help them. He wouldn't have been able to live with himself had he known they were trapped down there to die. He looked at Evokar a bit sadly when he put two and two together. Icabod wasn't going to let these mares be sent off as slaves. He glanced back at the two of them with a kind smile.
"I'm Icabod." He introduced himself first, so they would be more inclined to do so when he asked. "And you lovely ladies are?" Icabod looked at them with the sweetest eyes and smile he could manage. He wasn't a cute horse by any means, but maybe they'd feel safer.
He turned back to Evokar, kicking a bit of snow in Anna's direction as he passed her. "These two are obviously vagabonds. But, I don't think we should send them to Aodh. All that hard work would be for nothing. Besides, the Aodhians don't lead our herd, Hira does." He smiled at the smaller stallion. "I think it would be better if we just send them on their way. Or lead them away from the town. Either way."

EvokarStone Circle of Warforged
Eyes narrowed a bit as they all talked of such simple things. He could already feel the bitter energy between Anna and Icabod and their words and actions showed him just that. " Enough." he remarked out loud. Ears bent back as he looked to them all. " We are a team, you've all been chosen to work together." he snorted a bit as he was getting tired of this all, this was not what he wanted, not what he had planned and now they had two wounded vagabonds and bridge down. Still they had a mission, still the needed to go to the Narrows, whether they had to drag the two mares with them or not. " Learn to act like a team." he snorted. Eyeing them all, as they all should know better, whether to wait for what to do, to knowing when to hold their tongue, or being mature. They all should know better, yet here he was one of the youngest ones and he felt like he was babysitting a bunch of foals. He was aggravated, but he had every right to be. His family home was under siege and his own team couldnt follow orders or watch themselves. " Don't let the two out of your sight, the last thing we know is they are the part of the reid that happened in the Narrows." he remarked sternly, the softness in him melting away like the first snow on a warm day. He had enough and he needed to reign them all in once more. " Anna can you please check over them and make sure nothing is broken. Icabod and Darius watch over them, and like I said don't let them go." He snorted a bit as he stomped on the ground for a moment as the grass and roots around him seemed to ripple like water. Eyes turned to the two mares. " I think it is the best you tell us what exactly you both are doing here." he remarked arching a brow to them. If they were part of the raids in The Narrows they would need to be dealt with, and let the law of Warforged be their judgement. Ears caught wind of what Icabod said of just letting them go. He shook his head letting out a deep breath. No one would be walking away, not until everything was explained. Plus they all knew the law of Aodh as well, and that THEIR War Lord was right there. Did not a single horse here, thought of what their actions would lead too? Of course not. If they did, all of this would be so different. Kaia, he prayed, please guide us. Post 3 WC|| 450

Zemora gave the little mare credit. She had the perfect idea. Morning Glory seeds would be perfect. It wouldn't mortally wound them, just keep them at bay so the two of them could escape. "Perfect. That'll be out backup plan," Zemora quickly whispered back, before any of the War-Forged horses came down to help them.
And just in time. Both the large bay and the pegasus arrived and swiftly lifted the larger piece of debris off Zemora's back hindquarters. "Ah! Finally!" She exclaimed as she gently stretched her legs and flung the other pieces off her body. As she repositioned herself, Zemora kept her small bag behind her out of view. She heard Deya's lie and caught on quickly. It may be better to pretend they were only Wanderers. Hedgewitches had a habit of attracting bad publicity. Especially Zemora herself. Her supply wasn't only for healing.
Zemora allowed the pegasus to give her a quick once over. So did the bigger bay. "I'm alright boys. A little stiff and a few minor scrapes I should be fine, thank you." But as she stood she felt a sharp crack and pain in her side. This wasn't going to be an overnight recovery.
The two stallions moved to help Deya up, giving Zemora time to look around her. She took in the bay Tobiano with the striking horn to be the leader. He held himself high and did very little moving. Leaders were always like that. Next to him, shuffling around was a very small golden pony. The same one to have stuck her head over the ravine edge. She may be small but she had an attitude. Zemora would have to watch her step with that one.
Deya was soon up and moving. The bay stallion motioned to them to head up the ravine steps. Zemora gave Deya her own once over to see if the mare had any serious injuries, but she seemed to be no worse than herself. As they climbed the ravine steps, the chimeric unicorn got a name from her "rescuer". "It's a pleasure to meet you Icabod. My name is Zemora. Thank you again for the help." Zemora tried to be pleasant, even as he called her lovely. Flattery wouldn't get you anywhere with the older unicorn, but she was in no position to fight back. He did have a nice enough face though.
She released an air she hadn't realized she'd been holding as they reached the top of the ravine, on the wrong side of the bridge of course. But no longer did she feel so claustrophobic. As Icabod climbed up she caught his words to their leader. A chill went down her spine and all her polite pretense fled her composure. Aodh?! That could only mean slavery and Zemora was no longer young. Her days would be numbered as a slave. Giving a snort she lowered her neck slightly to ready for any chance at an attack. With the right moment she could use her horns to shove any horse over the ravine's edge.
Suddenly their leader turned to the two of them and asked them their business. Zemora raised her head high and looked him straight in the eyes, daring him to test her. "My business is my own, but if you must know I was in town to pick up supplies with the intent of leaving immediately afterwards to be home before the summer storms set in. We Wanderers need good living conditions as well. I appreciate your kindness in rescuing myself and my friend, but now I would like to continue my journey home." She didn't skip a beat in her lie. She had actually been in town to deliver a very illegal drug to a client. She was also picking up supplies and sneaking around Skelder Town to see if she could spy her ex-lover. But like she said, her business is her own.

Evokar's stern tone didn't surprise Anna, she had realized moments later how out of line she had spoken, but she was not going to correct herself at that time. "I apologize, Evokar. I spoke... out of line." She sighed not fully impressed with her words, but figuring they would do. Besides, when was it that someone got an apology from her. "Well, honey, I do think that your business is his business now. You're outnumbered by Raiders and custom is to ship your type off to Aodh." The medic glared at Icabod as the stallion kicked up snow. She recalled Evokar's words, though, and remained quiet on that note. Though, she longed to trip up the stallion and send him for a tumble. Then perhaps he'd learn to swallow his own pride in asking for help. But, that was not... comely of her, and so the mare dismissed the thought. "I hear they're low on labor slaves, at least that's what word is in Skeldr." The mare with sunset orange hair did pull herbs from her pack and walk closer to the Vagabonds.
"As of now, I don't believe you're going anywhere. Stay still though so I can scan for injuries." Anna looked the mare over, walking around her calmly, keeping eyes on everyone. The Vagabond and the two Raiders that she was less than pleased with. She figured Evokar was watching the other one. Just a few cuts and bruises by the look of things, but Anna dropped a few herbs to dull any aches at the mare's hooves. "Swallow them, it's best if you chew them to a pulp before hand." She moved away from Zemora, antsy as the mare was horned and foreign. Anna did not want to be on the receiving end of one of her strikes. She trotted swiftly to where Deyanira stood and dropped the same herbs after inspection. Her brown eyes were full of discomfort and spiteful tone as she stepped away and back to Evokar.
"They've given us no reason to let them go; and it's custom to send them on their way. They've not exactly earned my respect. I smell strong herbs on both; I could recognize them a mile away." She trailed off, saying the last part of her sentence quietly, so that only Evokar could hear. There was chance she was wrong and that they'd only traveled through a patch of strong smelling plants, but it made Anna's whiskers twitch.
"I'm more inclined to letting you go than you'd likely think, but you reek of lies." She said it calmly, she knew she was not the last opinion, and likely her opinion could not hold too much weight, but her hope was for Icabod and Darius to actually start thinking about the situation. They'd just found two Vagabonds who could very well be Cultists or the village thieves; or something completely different but not at all better. Both were secretive and obviously uneasy, as well as... threatening in the slightest. Or at least, Zemora was, Anna noted by her planted feet. Both were in a rush to get out of the situation, and while they may just be Vagbonds fearing slavery, Anna didn't like the way they spoke.
Lies made Anna see you as a villain.

Icabod ~ War-Forged ~ RaiderIcabod smiled at the vagabonds once again. Zemora was a cool name. He would have said so out loud, but that would have gotten a bad reaction from the others for sure. So he held his tongue.
Icabod jumped a little at Evokar's harsh tone. He lowered his head sadly. "O-okay..." He walked a little closer to the vagabond mares. He wrinkled his nose to hear that they were carrying some sketchy drugs with them. What does that matter? Not like they're hurting anyone. Icabod shook his head. He was really beginning to hate his job. Being reprimanded for his opinion on a matter like that was not something he was happy about.
The stallion shot a glare at Anna. Threatening them to be sent off as slaves wasn't a good decision. And it certainly wasn't her decision alone. But, at this point he figured it was pointless to speak up anymore. No one would be happy about it.
Icabod looked at the collapsed bridge. Then he looked at Darius. "With your wings, we might be able to rebuild the bridge really quick. It won't be as sturdy, but it should suffice for us to cross then send back another team to really repair it." He also looked at Evokar when speaking. Maybe he could redeem himself by having a plan that involved helping War-Forged and not a pair of vagabonds.

Deyanira - Vagabonds - Hedgewitch
As soon as Darius pulled the beam off of her, Deyanira immediately stood up and shook herself out. Shivers traveled up and down her spine, "Brrr it's quite chilly isn't it," she stated before she looked up at the pegasus and thanked him. She then followed after Icabod back up the ravine. "My name is Deyanira," she responded when Icabod asked for her name. A small smile appeared on her face as he called her lovely, Deyanira did always love being complimented. But that smile disappeared as soon as he brought up Aodh.
Evokar's stern tone caught her attention and immediately she picked up that this horse was the leader of the group gathered around her and Zemora. Her nose twitched as she felt the grass and roots move like a ripple around him. The grass let out small whispers towards her that this stallion was one to respect, to even fear for she was at his mercy. She eyed him for a bit wondering if maybe he too was blessed by Kaia like her.
She snapped out of her thoughts as Zemora explained her reason for being in Onea. As soon as she finished Deyanira told hers. "As Zemora said we are wanderers. But I came up here for a sort of pilgrimage to see Kaia's shrine on Mt. Skeldr." Technically she was not lying, that was the reason why she did come out to Onea. She looked down at her hooves trying relax her nerves a bit, extremely afraid of being sent to Aodh. Anna's words of the low number of labor slaves didn't help at all though. She looked at the pony mare when she said that they reeked of lies. Deyanira cleared her throat before she spoke up to Anna, "I understand where you are coming from but we have no reason to lie," she looked at the War-Forged members, "It's easy to see that we are outnumbered and had we come here with malcontent we would have already shown you. We came to Onea with the best intentions"
Deyanira gulped hoping that maybe what she had said would help her and Zemora out of being shipped off. She reached down and took the herbs Anna had placed at her hooves into her mouth. Chewing them into a pulp before swallowing them as instructed. .. Post: 3 WC: 388 ..

Darius followed Icabod and Deyanira up to the rest of the group. His wings didn't allow him to walk the too-narrow path so again he flew, relishing the feeling of cold air blowing like a river against his face. As he landed, he heard Evokar telling the group off, and nodded proudly. Their leader might be young, but he had potential. If he could learn to stand up for himself. Darius rolled his eyes at Icabod and Anna, who were still bickering like children. They had a mission here, and to keep taunting each other, launching petty jibes and ill-hidden glares, was completely ridiculous and unbecoming of their status and age. When Anna started talking loudly about shipping the vagabonds down to Aodh he winced. While the policy might be necessary in these turbulent times, this wouldn't be the first time he'd... looked the other way as harmless vagabonds slipped by. This pair, however, gave him pause. They seemed fairly innocent on the outside, but appearances were very often deceiving, and he wanted to be sure of their intentions before deciding their fate. Which, this time, was actually a choice that rested on Evokar's shoulders. It was a bit of an odd feeling, not being the one in command. He shook snow out of his mane and turned to Evokar while Anna looked the vagabonds over and reported to him. The poor kid looked overwhelmed, and Darius' heart went out to him. He stepped close to the stallion, talking low so the others couldn't hear. It wouldn't be good for Darius to seem as if he was behaving above his current station. "Sir, I'm going to trust your judgment on this one, but I don't think we should make a decision right now. I do not trust them, and I'll be certain to keep a very close eye on them, but I think for now it would be best to make quick repairs to the bridge and move on with our mission."
He stepped back a pace, fighting back a frown, partially from thought and partially from irritation, that surged up as he glanced over at the rest of their group. He was the oldest, he had to be the mature one. Kaia save me, we're all adults here and I'm still feeling like the oldest kid on the playground. ______________

Evokar
Eyes looked to them all, all of them watching him, and he to them. It was odd, to be one of the youngest and yet had to feel the burden of the decision. Many voiced great thoughts and plans, and yet who was he to determine the fate of two vagabonds. Ones that could be a part of the attack on his home village or possible two equine that were at the right place at the wrong time. Ears flickered back as he looked to both Ichabod and Darius. " One can help me fix the bridge, to make sure its safe enough to cross, and the other can keep watch over the others. All of us will be heading to the Narrows." he remarked eyes looking to the mare Vagabonds. " If anything perhaps you two could help us a bit, since we helped you." he remarked, as they did save their lives, it would only be fair to see if the two could help them on their mission. Evokar merely dipped his head towards them, the decision was made for now, as for what would become of the two mares, there was no decision there. Perhaps if they could help with the mission and prove they were not apart of it, perhaps they could let them slip past and go on about their ways. In all honesty Evokar didnt enjoy this new law of Aodh. That all captured Vagabonds would be sent to Aodh. What was Aodh's plan with them all? Make them into slaves? Or something far worse. He understood the need for justice for what had happened, but this all tasted like bitter revenge. " Thank you Darius, Ichabod and Anna for your insight in all of this." he offered them a light smile. Eyes turned to Anna and nodded to her once more. " See what you can find out." he remarked before trotting towards the collapsed bridge. He didnt wait to hear anyones rebuttal on what was choosen, or see how the vagabonds responded. If they tried to flee, they would make quick work of bringing them down and their fates would be sealed as new property of Aodh. Evokar hoped their was goodness in them and perhaps found a way to return the favor and none would suffer on this day. Post 4

Icabod ~ War-Forged ~ RaiderIcabod was frowning deeply. He hated the situation he was forced into. Why did I have to be put with these asses? Why did we have to run into these two? They shouldn't have been so stupid. I'm definitely going to the shrine later to ask this damn goddess why she hates me so much! He thought in anger and frustration. If it hadn't been for the stupid mission, he would have dealt with Anna thoroughly. Or just run away. Probably best not to be deemed a criminal.
There were so many things the roan stallion wanted to say, to get off his chest. But, being smart for once, he held his tongue. Icabod looked at Darius and gestured to the bridge. The winged stallion could repair it a lot quicker than he could. Then Icabod walked over to the vagabond mares. He stood behind them, blocking any path to run. He honestly didn't care, but he should at least look like he was doing his job. The stallion gave each mare an I'm sorry for this bull you have to go through look. He mad sure that no one else saw it. Icabod closed his eyes, inhaled deeply, then returned to keeping a close eye on Deyanira and Zemora.

| | Z E M O R A - H E D G E W I T C H ||Zemora's ears flattened to so far down her neck she knew she looked like a horned idiot. But she couldn't help herself. This small mare was absolutely infuriating. Her threats were palatable and deadly. But the unicorn watched as the pony kept her distance from her. At least she could do that much. The herbs she dropped near her were your basic medical herbs. There was at least a fever reducing one in there and another to regain strength. Gratefully, she took the herbs and chewed them.
Deya told her lies flawlessly and Zemora hoped the group of horses wouldn't think ill of them. She saw the nerves just below the zorse's coat though and could feel her own unraveling. Zemora had lied her way through plenty of tight spaces, but her injuries and the stress of traveling through Onea were weighing heavily on her. She eyed the pony medic as she moved away from the two Vagabonds towards the other unicorn in the group. Words were whispered between the two and Zemora flicked her tail hard against the ground. Whatever was shared between them was not pleasant. That pony had something against them.
To make Zemora even more uneasy she watched as the pegasus landed and also exchanged words with the unicorn. They were planning something. She heard Icabod mention to the pegasus about rebuilding the bridge. She looked down into the chasm and just saw a pile of rubbish. Nothing could be soundly rebuilt from all that. And what good would she be anyways with something like that? She was forty-three and injured. She could maybe roll boulders out of the way using her horns. Those were still as strong as the day she was born.
The unicorn turned to her and Deya and asked them to help in payment for saving their lives. Zemora went from interested at finally hearing what the other unicorn had to say, to grumbling under her breath. This is what she got for being in some other horse's debt. "Fine. I'll help," She pulled a heavy cloak from her pack and positioned it over her thin, desert built body. "But I make no promises. I'm not exactly in my prime here. But I suppose I can roll debris out of the way with my horns. These babies will never be weak." Zemora winked and made to the edge of the chasm to take a closer look at exactly what she had offered: A very sore neck. Rolling her eyes she watched as Icabod moved to position himself between her and her rightful freedom. Zemora may be old and a grumpy but her mind was as young and sharp as it ever was. She knew herself and Deya were in a very prickly situation.

Darius bowed his head in acknowledgement to Evokar before heading back down into the ravine. This time, with the cliff so crowded, he didn't have room to spread his wings, so he walked off the side, spreading his wings once he was in the air. He circled down like a hawk, landing to one side of the now roaring river, where he began looking for beams long enough to span the river. They could use those as a base, with the old foundations of the bridge which still seemed more or less solid. He found some beams which fit his needs and were light enough for one horse to move and began a pile for Evokar to start bringing up the cliff. If someone had some rope it would be very helpful, but he could ask in a moment. Spray from the river soon soaked his coat, misting his wings with pale beads of water which caught in his mane and whiskers too. If his wings got much more wet it would be a nightmare flying up the cliff again. Even his cloak was beginning to drag on him, the strips of cloth clinging to his sides.
Once he'd sorted the usable beams into a separate pile he began to find some planks, which they could use to place on the beams. This was going to be a very temporary fix, and everyone would have to be extremely careful in crossing it, but it would let them all cross in relative safety as compared to trying to swim. Even in the shallows where the water was a little less wild he wasn't sure he'd be able to keep his hooves.
Suddenly there was a painful grating sound, and the rubble he was standing on shifted, stones crashing into the river with a rumble that played counterpoint to the thunder of the water. He spread his wings for balance as the ground beneath him disappeared into the churning waters, but with a terrible grating sound the rock he stood on began to slide. He tried to take off, but with horror he realized his wings were too wet and heavy. He scrambled to leap off the rock, but the moment he'd spent trying to fly off had taken too much time. He was flung into the raging waters.
An icy shock enveloped him, the current catching him up and whirling him around like a leaf. His wings dragged him down, trying to flip him upside down with their extra weight and sending him crashing into rocks. In moments he was past the rubble of the bridge, horses flashing past as he tumbled in the water, sometimes above but mostly below the crashing waves. He thought he was gone, done for. This was it. As he gasped for air he inhaled water, feeling the arctic chill wash down inside him. He was loosing strength faster than he'd thought possible, the cold seeping into his bones, taking over his muscles. Just as he thought he couldn't keep his head up any longer he felt another shock. By some miracle one of his wings caught between two solidly-lodged stones, trapping him there, water rushing around him, over his head, in his nose, his ears, his eyes.
He couldn't see. His wing felt like it was being ripped free, and desperately he tried to swing around, find something solid to grab. With a shock his feet found purchase on shifting rocks beneath him and he was able to get his forelegs on the rock that held his wing trapped. His wing shook loose as the rock shifted and for a moment he thought he was going to be tossed back into the raging current, but he held on and the boulder held. Now his wings were loose, caught in the current, dragging him backwards, but his head was free of the water.
"Evokar!" He managed to raise his voice through the thunder of the water and the choking spray. "EVOKAR!"

Icabod ~ War-Forged ~ RaiderIcabod was keeping an eye on the vagabonds, but he had also crept closer to the ledge. He wanted to make sure he could help Darius in a moment's notice. Of course, the pegasus was probably fine. He had wings after all. For a brief moment, Icabod thought about how great it would be to fly. He pictured himself with such cool wings.
That was the moment when everything went to hell. There was a loud rumbling, Icabod felt it before the others with his tremor sense, but he didn't put the pieces together until it was too late.
There was a flash of darkness, so many loud noises, and then a surge of pain. Icabod was too close to the edge to get away as a potion of it totally collapsed. He felt a large boulder scrape down the left side of his face. Small rocks scraped against his body and a surge of water carried the stallion away. He could barely see anything as he was tossed and turned through the crashing river. He thought he saw Darius go by. Oh no... Not the others! Please not the others! As much as Icabod wasn't getting along with his companions, he didn't want them to join him in what seemed to be a watery grave.
After struggling to get his barings, Icabod began to swim with all his might. He tried to push against the stream. That would be the proper direction, he was sure of it. There was another flash of Darius. His wings were easy to spot. That's where the roan aimed. He pushed harder against the current. Finally, the rocks came to his side. Icabod managed to grab hold of a large one and attempted to clamber over it. He saw Darius beside him. But, he didn't have the time to take in what had happened. Icabod coughed and spluttered up all of the water he'd inhaled. His nose felt so full. The left side of his face was streaming down with blood and he couldn't see anything out of that eye. The stallion inhaled massive breaths, trying to right himself again. He managed to scramble up the rest of the large rock and walk precariously over to Darius. "I'm here!" He called reassuringly. Icabod used his telekinesis to try and help the other stallion up. "I've got you!"

|| Z E M O R A - H E D G E W I T C H ||Zemora grumbled the whole way down the ravine, her hooves trembled a tad as she stepped down the roughly, hewn rock steps. Her body had fast over come the fever that was building from the time in the river thanks to Anna's herbs, but she still was shaken from the initial fall. As she reached the bottom she watched as the pegasus landed gracefully among the rubble. He than began moving beams of wood that were more in less in one piece to the side. Zemora shrugged her shoulders and put her head down to start moving a boulder out of the way. She could care less if they rebuilt the bridge, all she wanted was to be on her way.
As she struggled with a boulder her ears caught the deep, hungry sound of something giving way. She froze and lifted her head fast, dread settled in the pit of her stomach and she realized what was about to happen. It sounded like a flock of birds were giving way to flight along with the sound of a mountain falling. And than she was engulfed with water.
Her world around her swirled and she had no sense of up or down. Debris flew past her at an alarming speed and racked along her body and legs. Her cloak was a burden on her shoulders and it caught on branches and wrapped around her body. Her eyes widened as the seconds ticked by. Her heart raced even as the icy mountain water seeped through her skin into her veins. With a gasp of air her head broke the surface, wildly searching for something to grab a hold too. She swiveled, barely staying above the raging waters surface. In the distance she saw Icabod swiftly moving with the river. It looked like he was aiming for the pegasus, his wing stuck in a crevice.
She clung desperately to the idea that one of them could grab a hold of her and pull her to safety. But her legs were growing weak and the cloak on her back pulled her towards the bottom of the river. The earlier excursions from the day were weighing heavily on her aged body. Zemora still kicked towards them, to no avail. She flew past them. Focused on watching them rush past her, she didn't notice the thick chunk of wood caught in the side of the ravine. Her body slammed into it hard, knocking the breath from her. As she struggled to breath her hooves flailed over the wood, trying to latch on.
It felt like minutes. Her life depending on this one piece of rubble. Her hoof caught hard on the other side and her leg hooked over. Her body stopped being pulled violently and instead pushed hard against the wood. She had stopped the madness for a minute or two. Over the rush of the water she heard the pegasus and Icabod yell to each other. She couldn't tell if it was directed towards her. She gulped in air and rested her neck over the wood closing her eyes. Shit, shit, shit. I can't get out of this alone. She sucked in air as she tried to kick her back legs, her old wound had reappeared and the abrasions from earlier were growing numb. I can't last in here for much longer. This is what I get for taking a detour through Onea. And now I'll owe these War-Forged horses another debt.
"Are either of you seriously hurt?!" Zemora shouted over the din of the water towards the two stallions clinging to a large boulder. If either of them were hurt no one was getting out of this alive. Unless the others on the cliff got to them in time. But before she could even begin to hope for a rescue she was back out in the water, her raft bobbing down the river. Frantically she looked behind her and watched as the two War-Forged stallions grew steadily smaller.
And then an idea struck. If she could find a shore or a part of the ravine that wasn't all cliff she could pull herself out. She was a Vagabond for Alya's sake, she wasn't tied down to this group in the slightest. Zemora would recoup wherever she washed up and leave. Though the thought of leaving Deyanira with the group tugged at her. Zemora had no idea if this would reflect badly on her standing as a Vagabond. But she didn't have time to think of all that now. The river was still flowing steadily, not rushing so much as before and a few times her back legs hit the river bottom. She had to keep her eyes open for a possible escape from this maddening river.
There it was! Her adrenaline surged from no where as the idea of getting out of the biting cold enveloped her mind. Her legs kicked wildly until she felt rocks grazing her hooves and solid ground beneath them. Realizing she was in the clear she let go of her log and struggled the rest of the way to shore. As soon as the current stopped tugging her she hung her head and gulped in air. Her cloak dragged faithfully behind her, weighing as much as a mother bear. She pulled the cloth off her shoulders and shuddered at the sudden cold. Ahead of her was a copse of trees that spread into a forest. She needed to find shelter from the wind and start a fire, just to warm up.
Thankful she had pulled herself out with out any problems and relieved she was out of the Scout's hooves, she limped towards the copse and started to search for some shelter.

Evokar Stone Circle of War-Forged
They made what seemed was easy work of the bridge, trying their best to make it better then what it was. Something that could still be used for others that would need to cross. Evokar wouldn't lie, his mind was distracted. He couldn't help but wonder about his parents, his family. Were they well? Did they get hurt? Did someone ruin their business? All these thoughts plagued his mind and perhaps if he had paid better attention to the world around him, he could have seen the signs. How little bits of water trickled out of rocks. How the plains beckoned him to listen, yet no instead his mind was clouded and everything had fallen on deaf ears. In moments to come, he would regret such things, and in the end he had himself to blame.
Ears flickered upwards, what was that? He wondered, as soon as he lifted his head, he heard the groan, the sudden grating of rocks and stone, and without a moment to spare, water gushed outwards as the bridge began to collapse. Stone spat out and it was when he heard the cry of his name, he spotted Darius getting swept into the river. Evokars body cried for the earth, but he was no stone medler. "I'll get you, keep your head up!" he shouted outwards, and soon he saw Zemora struggling in the waters, and Ichabod in there too trying to save them. Evokar knew he would be no good in the water, to fast to moving, he needed the sturdy lands to be worth of anything. Hooves landed on the ground as blades of grass curled over his hooves, as if keeping him still. Eyes closed as his mind began to focus and the lands was his.
He asked the the land to give him what he needed to urge them to grow and move. Sweat dripped from his brow as the land obliged to his pleading. He was able to create a sturdy vine. Eyes opened as he swung out the green vine rope towards the pair, Ichabod and Darius, but where was Zemora? Eyes glanced around and there he spotted her farther down stream, but soon getting out onto the banks. Nostrils flared as he watched her limp away from them all, but where she walked to, well she stood no chance of escape from him. "Grab the rope, both of you, I'll help get you to the side." he remarked to them, as he focused and tied the rest of the rope around his form. Nostrils flared as he shook his form, ready to pull the two to shore with by himself. Eyes turned to Anna and the other Vagabond. "Zemora, maybe hurt. She traveled down farther and seems to be heading to the woods. Perhaps check up on her?" he asked them, thought why would any of them fully oblige.
