Hotaru | Royal Family
Hotaru’s initial reaction to coming to the surface was that it had been quite a while since she’d been above ground, and that the sun felt rather nice as it warmed her through the cloak over her back. She was also relieved to finally be out of the tunnels, not that she disliked them or feared getting lost, she was merely concerned for the youngest member of their small party. She hadn’t particularly thought that Cecillia would get hurt in the tunnels, but it was much easier to watch over her up here in the daylight. As far as their mission went, she was sure the young one would be nothing but charming to the Serorans, as she’d never known the filly to be purposefully rude.
Jamais Vu, on the other hoof, the former queen thought, would perhaps need a watching over of a different sort. While she was certainly glad to have a familiar face assigned to her as a guard, she knew the large stallion to say some somewhat startling things. Not to mention his intimidating appearance to begin with, it all left a small, icy, pit of nervousness in her stomach.
She pushed those thoughts away with a deep breath, and the raise of her head, shaping her body language to give off the feeling of a royal. She was here to represent her herd and to help those in need, and by Argus she was going to do her duty and do it proudly even despite her doubts. She only hoped her companions held similar thoughts to her own.
“Stay close, both of you.” She said firmly as they approached the camp which had been set up to house the Serorans who were seeking their aid, “And do remember we are representing our people, we must be gracious and civil. Remain conscious of your actions, we do not wish to spark any conflicts.

checkpoint 1// Breim’s arrival in the Serora camp is met with welcome, yet tension still hangs low in the air. It will take many months, even with magic, to grow what is needed to revive the starving herd and return them to their former glory. The land of Southern Sirith is new to all, with numerous questions left unanswered. First order of business: to sooth the fears in the hearts of the Seroran people.

Cecillia | Royal family
Cecillia straightened up a bit at Hotaru's words, wanting to make a good impression on the older royal as well as the Serorans they were about to meet. The walk had been long and her legs were tired, but she kept her head high. The surface was... different. When they first had 'entered' it, she had stopped and stumbled, noticing a change when she opened and closed her eyes. Normally it wouldn't do anything, but now... She didn't know exactly what to call it, but it made her blink her eyes more frequently. The sensations here were different as well. She felt the soft blow of her skin and her ears and nose had to work overtime to keep up with the unfamiliar noises and smells. It made her even more tired than the long walk had, being extra careful as she walked. The ground fell different, the sounds were different and it made it harder to guess where she was going. Aiko stuck close to her, regularly letting her know if she was at risk of bumping into someone. The young mare wasn't quite sure if she was up to take on a meeting on top of that, but determined to do her part, she answered dutifully: "Yes, lady Hotaru, I will do my best."

Jamais Vu The Guard of Briem
He was sent on another mission with the ever so wonderful Hotaru, as well as other equine. Of course he knew of them, but never spent much time conversing with others that well... Did not spark his interest. What value was there in wasted words and conversation where it would lead to them chattering and he could already tell by the look of these equines their voice would be teeth scraping on silver. The mere thought made him go into his stone cold look. Where he looked like a walking statue amongst them all. He normally is quite charming, showing off his equine skills for lovely skills, but being near her... Well he allowed her to see a bit to much of him as she rushed over theives in Briem, it was best to keep his mouth shut and watch his steps carefully. Yet as they traveled outside of Briem, to where the sun's ray was warm and pleasant, so much so he stretched a bit to the rays, but after a while. The sun was a burden, feeling the heat on his shoulders, he was not made for this, he much prefered the caves, plus he was squinting a lot, this light was far far brighter than what he was used too. Too white. He shook his head and a bit. Ears flicked up a bit as, he was paying more attention to what was around them, and keeping his sense alert for strangeness out here in the wide open. Yet Hotaru's voice broke the silence. 'Yes everyone mind your p's and q's' He thought to himself as he listened to her. " Of course Hotaru." he remarked offering her a charming smile, his voice cool like the breeze and refreshing as one on a hot day. He knew how to be charming and pleasing, but inside lurked something far darker, far crueler. But for now, he would play these little games of charming guard. Hopefully, he'd find a few more things to help further him in his own ambitions. Post 1 WC||347

Booker Serora Screamer
The warmth of the surface could not have been more welcoming to Booker. This place was strange, so he could not say that the presence of the sun relaxed him, but the lack of cave walls and stone ceilings significantly decreased his anxiety. He was back to his old job of patrolling the outskirts of their small encampment, keeping an eye out for any Vagabonds looking to take advantage of the already weakened equines. There had not been any encounters so far, but that didn't mean that they were completely safe.Booker kept a light pace as he trotted around the camp, keeping eyes and ears on alert just in case anyone needed anything. He would stop to help lift a support for a wall, or assist in the removal of a large stone from a field, but rarely did he speak outside of that. It was still hard for him to connect. He just couldn't carry on a conversation or delve deeper into the relationship. Just thinking about it made his heart race.Reaching the edge of the camp, he raised his head higher, sniffing the air and scanning the horizon. In the distance, he swore that he saw movement, but was uncertain. It was fleeting, and he did not want to raise alarm if he was not sure. Not wanting to risk it, he went to find Leviticus to get a second opinion.Post 1 || 237 Words

Serora was dying, lost from Alya's gaze and cast under the blistering heat of Ignacio's sun, the streams and rivers dried and cracked, leaving little for even the woodland creatures of Sedo to drink. His home was dying, but there was still hope. Hope that rested in the hooves of Breim herd, a gift given from Hajime that could say their lives. Pagan knew of how Serora had helped Breim during the great war of the gods, how they had helped them when the dust settled and the earth was finally calm, knew what debt that they owned to the proud people of Serora but...but now the great solitary Serorians were failing, dying under the sun without a single word. Now it was Breim's turn to help, to pay in full their debt and help Serora, but all things would take time, and time was not what Serora had.
Time was what Pagan seemed to be lacking now a days as well. The past months had been exhausting for the pegasus, both physically and mentally. With word of the herd'sdilemmaa, Pagan had returned home, stayed and consulted with his brothers and the Sultan. He had returned to Breim once more, delivering news and the words from his Sultan. This had continued for those three long months, and when the temporary land was finally given to Serora, Pagan had acted as a messanger bird between the king and the sultan. Pagan could tell that he had lost a rather large amount of weight, but replaced some of it with new muscles that ran along his back and shoulders, his wings as powerful as they had ever been. But he had had little rest and found himself running out of breath quicker than he should have. Shaking his head, Pagan cleared his thoughts. He couldn't worry about that now, no. Now he needed to focus on meeting with Lady Hotaru, keep the peace and help settle the worries between both sides.
The sun shone hot as Pagan slowed his decent and landed with a soft thud, slowly coming to a stop. He had spotted the coming party of Lady Hotaru, and with the delicate folding of his wings, he began to trot away from the camp, pushing up his pink shaded glasses to hide his eyes from the sun.

Taeith | Gatherer The past few months had been busy for the gatherer. The land Taeith and her group had found had just barely supplied the herd with food and soon there was demand for more as the drought took its toll. There was little time for anything but work, to keep the herd alive, but the mare had found time to travel to Breim and enjoy the River of Gems convention in Sterling. The herd had been welcoming and she was in awe of how different the herd lived. To be underground for only a few days was so weird to her, but these horses thrived in the barely lit caverns. It was an experience she was probably not going to forget.
On the way back to Osulas, she remembered that her herd had recently gained crop lands and headed towards the newly formed camp to see if she could help out. Her farming knowledge was limited, though she knew the basics as any gatherer should. It had been a few days since she had joined the camp and the heat of the day was just starting to get noticeable.
Her shoulder twitched as a fly landed on it, and Tae reached back with her muzzle to shoo it away. It was quiet, as everyone seemed on edge, anticipating what was about to happen. Every so often Tae would see Booker, a screamer, trot on by on the lookout as he helped around the camp and recently she had seen Pagan fly past in the air above. At least there was a familiar face in the camp, as Levi had seemed to have been assigned here. Tae was happy to know that he was around. He had kept her group safe the last they had met, so she trusted him. As for everyone else, well…she would find out soon enough.
There was a soft thudding as Pagan landed outside the camp, and Tae swiveled her ears towards the ambassador. He moved away from the camp and Tae assumed he had spotted something. Taeith walked to the outskirts of the camp, and watched the pegasus trot away. If their guests were here, she was about to find out.

Nero | Serora | Medicine Horse
Generally, such new activities would have scared Nero much more than they did, however, knowing that his herd members were there did ease his anxieties. So much in fact that in the glorious heat of the Sirith plains, under the canopy of a small tent like structure he had erected, he was peacefully laid on his side. The pale blue roan stallion was sorting through his various medical equipment in his saddlebag, copper eyes drowsy with doziness. He had regarded those he was accompanied by, trying to read into them and study their behaviour. New horses tended to make him rather flighty. Yet this group seemed rather amiable, and he was sure that as long as he performed his role well, they would enjoy his company. The walk to this point had been a hard struggle, Nero was not used to being out of his medical hut for so long, and the sun had started straining his eyes. Now that his group had stopped and created a makeshift camp, he felt much more relaxed. A few paces away from the entrance of the tent he occupied he spied Booker, a Screamer, feverishly patrolling the camp and offering aid. Nero regarded the horse a moment longer, before hearing a soft thud. Curiosity got the better of Nero's cautious nature and he rose. Striding out of the tent, his head lowered warily he caught sight of Pagan. He was the leader of the little group of Serorans, and an Ambassador to Briem. Nero watched him openly, and followed his line of sight to an approaching group; presumably, the Briem horses that had been assigned to help them. From this distance, Nero couldn't make much out of the party, only that there were few of them. Nero started to slowly, and very hesitantly, move towards the outskirts of the camp. H Nero started to slowly, and very hesitantly, move towards the outskirts of the camp. He could see the youngest, Taeith, standing on the edge of the camp. The stallion paused a few paces behind the filly, his ears clocking forwards as he followed Pagan's approach with his eyes. Post | 1 | Words | 356

Leviticus|Senora | Heavy hoove
Months of the drought did not please Levi. Patroling the territory was much harder with lack of water and food. He seemed to get a bit more leaner then he was months ago but he still held his head high. The heat didn't bother him as much compared to the lack of neccessities that their herd had. He was used to the bright eye blinding days and high heat. Finding shelter where he can to cool off. But guard isn't a job for everyone. He enjoyed it. He had aquired some new scars since their last mission he was in. Dealing with none friendly horses and predators when their were any. With the lack of critters. The beasts were getting bolder and well more ravenous. Levi moved up towards the camp he was summoned to this place and wanted to welcome their new allies or rather help. He would move with his head held high and body posture dominate. His roman nose looked around at the different horses that were around and got here first as he was moving from the outskirts of the camp to inward. He would notice a familiar horse the filly Taeith that lead the last mission. He picked up his head a little more and smirked. He saw Booker and Nero. he hasn't spoken to them yet. "Evening." his voice was deep. His eyes though looked to the Pegasus Pegan and then to where he was looking. The figures getting close. His ears perked and eyes forward he would pick up his feet a bit and head over. Not in a threatening way. Just curious to the Briem people. He wasn't a shy horse more out going and bold. His tail flicked the flys that bit his flank. He slowed and stopped. As his attention focused forward. Post | 1 | Words | 306

Hotaru
Hotaru shot Jamais Vu a short side glance at his words. She was sure he thought he was quite charming, but she only held her tongue from chastising his lack of formality due to her spotting a somewhat familiar face coming towards them. Though she still made a mental note to perhaps have a talk to him about how he should be speaking to his elders, especially in public, sometime later. Soon enough her small party and Pagan met on their way to, and his way from, the Seroran camp, the brindle mare smiling politely at the younger stallion. "Stop here for a moment, sweetheart." She said softly to Cecillia before lifting her head back up to speak to Pagan, "You must be Pagan then, I don't believe we have met properly yet, I am Hotaru, this young lady is Cecillia, and this is our guard Jamais Vu." Hotaru said, nodding to each equine in her company as she introduced them.
"We are here to do whatever we can to assist you and your people." She continued, with a nod towards the camp behind Pagan, "Perhaps you would like to take us back to your camp and introduce us to some of them? We would be absolutely delighted to meet them." her words were sincere when she spoke, her instinct to to help those in need string enough to overpower her usual weariness of outsiders.

Booker Screamer
When Pagan landed, Booker's thoughts had been confirmed. The Breim party had finally arrived. His curiosity won over his need to patrol, and he found himself wandering toward the entrance of the camp. There he met up with Leviticus, who he nodded a greeting to. The larger draft was much more talkative than he, which Booker found quite relieving. He would not have to force conversations if they were being held by others. The long-legged stallion stayed a bit further back, keeping a watchful eye over the Breimans as they approached their small settlement. Only three? Booker was a little bit surprised as he looked up a light mare, her brindle coat and white face astonishingly beautiful, and her two companions. One, a small filly, who look exhausted from the trip, and the other a large, disgruntled draft. They obviously had not been on the surface very often, their sweating coats and seeming annoyance with the weather. Tilting his ears forward, he listened keenly to them as the mare introduced the small gathering. With a small sigh, the chimeric stallion strode forward calmly, not wanting to put on the impression of irritation. He was, after all, thankful that they allowed the Serorans this land. Deep breathes, Pagan. Don't mess this up! The Palomino coated horse thought to himself. He took a deep breath and lifted up his head high, a smile on his face. When he stopped in front of Hotaru, he listened to her address Cecillia and then himself before extending his right leg and bending his head deeply, holding it for a moment before standing straight "It is a pleasure to meet you, lady Hotaru." He smiled and turned to look at Cecilla "Lady Ceillia and I have already met a few times before, during my first visits to the Breim herd" and finally he turned to address the guard accompanying them "It is a pleasure to meet you as well, sir" Pagan finished.
With the sound of Approaching hoof steps, Pagan turned his head, a little shocked to see Booker coming to a stop a few feet away. With a sigh of relief, Pagan turned to the breim group once more "Yes, I would be honoured to show you around our camp, as well as introduce you to some of those who are tending these lands now. I am sure that they would love to thank you for helping us in our time of need. But. I believe we have some introductions first! This is booker, one of our screamers, and a little bit behind him is one of our heavy Hoofs, Leviticus." Pagan offered a friendly smile, glancing at Booker before looking back to Hotaru "Please, follow me and I'll show you around" he finished, turning and beginning to walk forward, wings drawn close to his body.

Leviticus|Senora| Heavy hoof
Levi glanced up at Pegan as he would move to bow to Hotaru. Levi wondered if he was expected to bow or was he not. The ground seemed far to him. But he would stand at attention for the moment till he was spoken to. The Breim horses seemed to be having a hard time on the surface and wondered if they would adapt. He would say the Senoran's adapted well with the drought and lack of food going around from months past. His blue eyes looked at the young filly besides Hotaru and then the stallion guard. Starting to hear introductions he would turn his head to Booker as he was introduced as so. Then he would look at them and then do his best to bow. Getting his leg out and large body lowering to them "Its a pleasure to meet you and thank you for your help" he would bow. He would then lift himself back up. Trying not to strain his knees on his large body. His tail swayed a bit but would move a bit so they can pass to see the other horses and the camp. He would stick close but his ears pivoted to be alert and on watch. He was paranoid something might come out but that was a good thing right? he would be prepared. Post 2 | word count 229

Cecillia | Royal family
Cecillia stopped dead in her tracks as Hotaru addressed her. "Yes, Lady Hotaru." she answered quietly. Aiko planted himself down next to her, giving the newly approaching horses haughty stares. He was not amused walking in this head. Cecillia tried to stand up a little straighter as she sensed the Serorans' approach, trying to look dignified besides her tiredness. She held her head high as Hotaru spoke. This was the first assignment as a royal she had been ever given and she wanted to show she was ready for it. A familiar voice made her ears perk, recognising Pagan, the Serora ambassador. A happy feeling spread through her as he acknowledged her and their earlier meetings. Look she did well aqcuintsacing herself with everyone! "Hi, Sir Pagan," she chirped happily before realising how improper that probably was in a meeting of this sort and scrambling to dip her head. "I-I mean...ah... Pleased to meet you again, Sir. Pleased to meet all of you." She clamped her mouth shut, bowing her head left and right, hoping it would cover everyone present. How embarrassing. This was not the good impression she had been hoping to make. From beneath her Aiko let out an amused snort.

Nero | Serora | Medicine Horse Nero watched for a few moment, Pagan was welcoming the three Briem horses. Now that they were closer he could finally make them out. The leader appeared to be a brindle mare with a white face, her mane pulled back into a bun. Beside her was a small filly. She was a pale creamy colour, yet something about her made Nero cock his head sideways. It wasn't that she hadn't noticed any of them, because the little one's ears were pinned forward, but to him something was off. Pushing this feeling aside he moved his gave to the bulking horse beside them. A muscular draft horse with a rugged mane and scarred face accompanied them. That was enough for Nero to understand the delicacy of the situation, and perhaps squared him some more caution to his actions. The lanky roan watched his herd mates as they approached, Pagan was leading the newcomers to the camp. I a way the anxious stallion was looking forward to meeting these new horses. It would be an excellent opportunity to learn more about the herd, and perhaps about their medical knowledge...he internally scolded himself, he was here to assist his herd, not himself. Though he was determined to reap some self fulfilling knowledge from this encounter. Unsure of what to do, Nero stood placidly beside his fellow Serorans, his head lowered and ears pinned curiously forward. Post | 2 | Words | 240

Jamais Vu The Guard of Briem
Vu merely dipped his head to Pagan as he greeted them all. They seemed especially friendly, but he heard most Serorians were all far too trusting for their own good. To Vu that made meek prey, there was nothing thrilling with that sort of attitude. Though they had done nothing wrong, so Vu merely remained silent by all of this. It seemed the heat made him forget his manner, as he already spoke to Hotaru wrong, he can only imagine, what would happen to him, once this was all done. But he was made for the coolness of the caves well beneath the earth. Being up here in the open and exposed with the sun that never ceased, it was overbearing for the draft. Though what caught his attention where those that waited a ways behind Pagan, watching them, and he arched a brow before glancing to Cecilia as she fumbled with her words. She needed to learn to relax, she was young and would learn quickly. His attention returned to Pagan as he began to move forwards and Jamais awaited for both Lady Hotaru and Cecilia to move first and then he would follow behind them. It was best to be able to see what was coming before them as well as be able to watch from behind. Though if any trouble was to arise, he would find a bit amusement in dabbling in his gift. But for now, Vu was the ever so obedient dog of Lady Hotaru. At least for now. Post 2

Taeith | Gatherer It seemed only a few moments passed after Pagan had landed that Levi started after the pegasus. Tae tilted her head curiously, wondering if the heavy hoof was going after the ambassador to make sure nothing happened to him when Booker walked after the pair. She then felt as if she wasn’t the only one standing at the outskirts of the camp and looked behind her, catching sight of the medicine horse, Nero. She gave him a soft, reassuring smile, before turning back to see how the others in their group were doing. There was movement among them, a bow here and there and suddenly the group turned back towards the camp followed by three more horses. Those were probably the Breim horses they had been expecting.
As she waited, Tae tried to remember any customs she learned while she had been in Sterling. One of the biggest things she had to keep herself from doing was staring. Supposedly it wasn’t a good thing to just stare at someone while they were talking and Taeith had found it quite difficult to not insult the horses in Sterling, but she couldn’t help it. Eye contact was important in her opinion, but this time she would try to seem more respectable. She also had to remember to bow to their guests. That was another thing she had learned about, but it wasn’t as much of a shocker as bowing was a respectful gesture in almost any herd she could think of.
Taeith was surprised that they only sent three horses, as they were a little short handed themselves. It had made her a little uneasy that she was the only gatherer in her group, but everyone had a role to play and she hoped some of her fellow Serorans had some sort of land cultivating knowledge. At least it wouldn’t be so bad. Kaia had bestowed upon Taeith earth manipulation after the Sterling trip. Tae guessed the goddess had witnessed Tae’s immense admiration for her underground beauty and Taeith was thrilled to finally put her gift to the test.
The approaching horses pulled Tae’s attention again now that she could see them a bit better. The small group consisted of a brindled mare, a young, pale filly and a dark stallion. They all seemed a bit uncomfortable in the heat of the sun and suddenly Taeith had an idea. She looked around before spotting what she wanted. She trotted over to an earthenware jug that had previously been filled with water. With the ability of her earth manipulation, she easily picked it up and brought it over to a ceramic bowl which she poured the water into. Once the bowl had enough water, she put the jug down and focused her attention on the bowl and let it rise slowly. With careful steps, Tae walked out of the camp and past Nero, towards the incoming horses.
Once Tae was close enough, she put the bowl down and took a step back. ”Welcome! You’ve traveled far, so please, refresh yourselves,” she started before remembering that she needed to bow. She almost stumbled as she brought herself down onto one knee. She waited a few seconds before straightening herself up and looked to Pagan to see if she had done it right.

Hotaru
Hotaru's polite smile widened to reach her eyes at Pagan's bow, very pleased that the Serorans seemed to have at least looked into Breim culture a bit. It was one thing to take up the offer of hospitality, but another entirely to try their best to familiarize themselves with their hosts' way of living, and so the red mare nodded her appreciation towards the others as they bowed and introduced themselves,
"It is a pleasure to meet all of you," She spoke genuinely, "I hope we can all get to know each other better as your time here passes." She simply nodded as Pagan turned, and she leaned down once more to Cecillia to murmur a quiet, "Come along dear. You are doing very well." before following after the pegasus stallion.
Hotaru couldn't help but to chuckle softly when the young mare they met up with once they reached the camp also seemed to be in a bit of a hurry to bow to them. It was really charming, and the royal mare decided she really did like these strangers a lot more than she expected to, "It really is flattering, all this bowing, but please do not feel as though you must," she said to the Serorans around them, "I am here to work with you, not to rule over you. And thank you so much for your hospitality." She tilted her head towards the bowl of water, "Jamias Vu, Cecillia, you two should have a drink of water, we've had quite the journey today."

Booker Screamer
His blue eyes stayed steady on the Breimans, though they never lingered on any of them for very long. Except for the darker stallion. Something about him discomforted Booker, but he could not figure out why. The stallion was quiet and polite, even if he looked extremely dissatisfied with the heat. At one point he made eye contact with him, but he continued on without holding it for too long. He hoped that the stallion thought it was just coincidental. Now was absolutely not the time for confrontation. Pagan spoke a greeting, offering to give the equines a small tour of their little establishment. Before they could start off, Taeith bustled by with some water, fumbling a bit as she offered the newcomers some water. A small smile crooked up the corner of Booker's mouth at her charming efforts. Gatherers, always so kind, Booker thought to himself, shifting his weight to turn away as the group began to move further into the camp. He waited until they passed, offering a small bow of his head as he did so. Even if they did not want it, it was still respectful to do so. Again, as Jamais Vu passed, Booker's eyes lingered a little bit longer on him, a tingling anxiety creeping up his spine. Post 3 || 216 Words

Cecillia | Royal family
Cecillia stood as quietly as she could, hoping she was doing things right. Pride swelled in her as Hotaru told her she was doing well and she hurried to follow as they set of towards the camp she assumed the Serorans had set up. Aiko followed her, trying to stay in the shadows. Though the warmth of the sun had been enjoyable at first, he too had grown accustomed to the life in the tunnels and his horse's shade gave him some relief.
Cecillia's own pelt was glistening with sweat, giving it even more shine than natural. Though she didn't want to admit it, the filly was tired and her shoulders sagged in relief as one of the Seroran horses offered water and Lady Hotaru told her to drink. Sniffing the air, she caught the scent of water and carefully stepped closer, not wanting to risk running into the offered water and spilling it. Letting Aiko guide her the last bit with his head, she took a few grateful gulps, closing her eyes as the water slit down her throat. It was just water but it was the best. Beside her she felt and heard Aiko lap up some water for himself, clearly assuming the offering was just as well meant for him.
She dipped her head in the direction of where the mare who offered should have been. "Thank you for the water."

Jamais Vu The Guard of Briem
He watched as they all approached and even caught the eye of one that seemed to linger on his form. He cared little for it, while if he was int he caves and he had such a thing happen to him, well it would be best to say they wouldn't be staring for long. Attentioned turned Taeith as water was offered to them. A part of him stiffened a bit at the offer, eyeing the water a bit, it was his duty to protect them and while the Serorans where on their lands, still he had to be wary. Though it seemed Hotaru was not worried about such things, and gladly told the two to drink. Cecillia and her pet drank the water and Jamais Vu merely watched wondering. Yet nothing happened and if the pet could drink it without retching it was fine. " Thank you for the offer it is much appreciated." he remarked charmingly as he took a few drinks, but that was all. He didn't want to drink enough to make himself miserable, but enough to wet his palette. He dipped his head respectfully to Taeith. Head lifted and he looked about a bit. The sun still hung in the sky and a part of him wish it would waver, he wasn't used to this, and he can only imagine his skin being burned after this. His dark pelt seemed to attract more heat and he wasn't to amused by this, but he remained upright and standing next to those he was called to watch over. He was their guard and if he should ever waver in their presence, well he was sure he would never hear the end of it. Instead he endured and let the sweat drip from his body. Post 3 WC|| 300

Nero | Serora | Medicine Horse Nero watched the Gatherer filly, Taeith, he recalled, offer the Briems water. Despite himself, he was a little surprised by how friendly the Briems seemed. They were gracious and poised, and yet seemed rather relaxed, which he had not expected. With his shoulders set wide, he dipped his head towards them, not wanting to speak or disturb the peace that seemed to be forming amongst the new group. However, when he saw the small cream filly approach the water, he stiffened, eyeing her slightly. When he realised what he we doing he snorted, flicking his tail with agitation and unease. There was something odd about her mannerisms, and he couldn't put his hoof on it. As a medicine horse, it irked him greatly. Not only that, but the large draft horse, who appeared to be their guard, was far more intimidating up close. The lanky polo horse sidestepped a little, unconsciously moving closer to his herd. Along with a rise of nerves in his stomach, there was excitement, such that he had rarely experienced in passing day to day life. Before embarking on this expedition, Nero had made sure he had read up on a little Briem culture, as he would hate to offend anyone whilst representing the Serorans. What had fascinated him most was the situation of the herds lands, underground. To him, it sounded terrifying, closed dark spaces and no sky. Yet he really hoped he would hear more about their lives underground, and what it was like to live like that. The other horses in his herd seemed slightly more at ease than himself, so he tried to at least feign disregard. He slouched his hind leg so he was resting on the toe of his hoof, and slumped his shoulders. Despite his more relaxed demeanour, his ears were still pressed forward, anxiously awaiting any instructions. Post | 3 | Words | 317

Pagan's heart fluttered as they finally approached the camp, many of the Seroran residents coming up to greet their guests. He gulped silently and ushered a silent prayer to Ayla, hoping that things went smoothly. He had faith in his fellow Seroran horses but the cultural differences between the two herds could be a major shock (as Pagan himself had quickly learned) As they approached, Pagan smiled as Taeith carried a simple ceramic bowl over to their guests, and then bowed! Oh, he was so glad that they seemed to remember his rather quick lessons about Breimian culture. Breaking out into a grin, Pagan nodded his head "yes, please drink. I'm sure the heat difference from the cool caves is quite a shock" he laughed softly, a silent thank you shining in his eyes as he looked at the others.
While they drank, Pagan turned to face the Breimians, standing to the side of the two groups of horses "more introductions are in order! My fellow Seroran's, this is Lady Hotaru, Lady Cecillia and their gaurd Jamais Vu. Lady Hotaru, I'd like to introduce you to Nero; one of our medicine horses, and Taeith," he said gesturing to the one who had offered them water "one of our gatherers. And of course I'm sure you remember Booker and Leviticus" He finished, nodding his head at the gathered group. There wasn't many Serorans on this borrowed land, but there was enouhg to hopefully bring a change to their home and help save those who were going hungry. Pagan turned to look at Lady Hotaru once more, his glasses slipping down slightly before he squinted against the harsh sun and pushed them up once more.

Taeith | Gatherer Tae watched the visitors drink from the bowl, observing them quietly. It seemed she already forgotten her plans to not “stare”, but she couldn’t help it. The little filly, Cecillia, took her time to, what seemed to Taeith, find the water bowl. The dog familiar that was with them seemed to guide the foal until the cream filly found the water. Tae felt her chest tighten as she came to a realization. Was the little filly…blind? She couldn’t dwell too long on it as Cecillia turned her head in Tae’s direction, thanking her for the water. ”You’re very welcome,” she replied with a smile. If she was, in fact, blind, the little filly must have mastered the use of her other senses to get around. It was admirable.
The dark horse drank next, though it seemed he watched Cecillia and Aiko with apprehension, thanking her afterwards. Tae returned his gesture with a nod of her own and a smile towards him as well. The Breim horses seemed really easy going so far, and Taeith hoped that their mission here would go smoothly with their help.
Pagan seemed pleased by his fellow herd mates bowing, and Taeith was glad to have gotten it right. It would’ve been horrible to have embarrassed the ambassador by doing something wrong or insulting their guests. He introduced everyone and Tae looked to each horse as he spoke their names. Tae suddenly understood why Jamais Vu had looked a little wary of her offer. As a guard, it was probably his duty to keep an eye out for others trying to harm Hotaru or Cecillia. She hoped her gesture didn’t alarm him too much. Then, it hit her. Maybe showing their guests around would put Jamais Vu at ease and make it easier for all of them to navigate the camp.
”It’s such a pleasure to meet you. If I may, if it’s alright Pagan, sir, suggest a tour of the camp so that the ladies and Jamais can find their way around? It’s hard to get lost, but we can show them the crop field and places of interest so they don’t have to worry about trying to find where everything is. The field isn’t too far in and they can see the progress we’ve made!”

Leviticus||| Heavy Hoof
Leviticus watched the group of Breims move into the camp. He did his polite greetings and a bow probably more then he would with others. So that was his good deed.He would not move too far off but wasn't one to be right on the group either. Giving them space to move around and breathe after the long journey. He wondered what their guard thought. He hoped they would get along and won't have any issues with each other. He would keep his thoughts positive and hope that will reflect it outwardly. He would keep his head high as his ears were very alert and perked. They may have camp but were they ever truely safe? He watched Taeith get them water which was very kind of her. She was a good host. He watched how they moved to the water. Did they trust the Senoran's or would they refuse. He was pleased to see them drinking. He didnt know too much about their culture and wouldn't feel much embarrassment if he hiccuped a bit. He was focused on keeping the groups safe ontop of the task on hand. He would hear the introductions and his gaze would turn back to the group and his ear would turn right to Pagan. He slowly moved back in a bit. He would gaze at the others with a nod of assurance. Then looked to Taeith as she spoke on giving them a tour. She did seem like a really good hosts. He would give Taeith a bit of a soft smile. Then his gaze went back to the group to see if the idea was going to hit or not. Was there something else they were going to do or will they chill for a moment to let the Briems gather themselves. Post 3|| words 301

Jamais Vu Guard of Briem
Ears were up a bit as they all spoke and he learned the names of those that either was introduced or offered it freely. He nodded respectfully to each of them. He noted their names and faces and from there on, he wouldn't forget. Eyes turned to Taeith as she spoke of giving them all a tour. Actually that would be a grand idea, Vu was indeed curious of those the dwelled above them. In the world were the skies were endless. A faint snort escaped his lips as he remained silent, figuring it was still best he try to say as little possible. He already messed up, and he had hoped if he was on good behavior with Lady Hotaru, perhaps she would let it go and assume the sudden change of being above land and the heat messed with him. Though his attention turned towards Lady Hotaru wondering if she would be welcomed to the idea, in all honesty he hoped she would be. It would be beneficial to see how much the occupy and what exactly they are doing up here. Plus Vu was curious about the fields and what not. He had only ventured outside of Briem, but a few times, but once that fair innocent thing, was no longer such. Well... He was no longer interested in broken things that no longer react.

Letting the guests drink, Pagan let his shoulders sag but for a moment, his wings beginning to ache slightly from the tension in them. He was an anxious ball of feathers right now, his heart racing slightly. He didn't want to do anything to upset the breimian guests, they were being so generous how could he! Shaking his head and holding his shoulders up once more, Pagan smiled happily, ears perked forward as Taeith suggested that they take their guests on a tour "Now, that is an excellent idea, Taeith! Why don't you lead the way, show them how our plans are going?" he smiled, glasses falling down his nose slightly. Carefully pushing them up once more Pagan moved to walk along side the Breim horses, Glancing at Leviticus and then Booker.
Glancing up at the sun, Pagan had hoped that it wouldn't be too hot today, but here he was, sweating slightly and squinting at the harsh light of the sun. Over the months he had spent in Breim he had never had to really wear his rose coloured glasses, the shields for his eyes not needed in the dim caverns that were Breim. Sure, they had lovely lighting that could get pretty intense but nothing as strong as the sun. His first trip back home had been a nightmare, a headache raging just behind his eyes and his flying equal to that of a drunk horse. He had hoped that perhaps it would be cloud today, but no such luck.

Cecillia | Royal family
Cecillia had a hard time keeping up with the quick introduction, not getting to memorise their voices. She was also slightly disappointed that Pagan only introduced Lady Hotaru back to the Serorans. Perhaps he just forgot. She inched closer towards Jamais Vu and whispered: "It's alright, I'm sure he meant to introduce us to them as well." She tried to sound soothing, not wanting the other stallion to possibly be upset. Her ears perked and slight excitement filled the filly as one of Seroran horses proposed a tour. She wouldn't actually be able to see anything, but she was excited at the thought of hearing more about what they were up to. She thought the one who wanted to lead them around was the one called Taeith. She and Pagan were the only two of the Seroran party she could distinguish between at the moment. She heard Aiko huff and let out a small giggle. "You're so lazy," she whispered to him. She hoped Lady Hotaru would accept the offer even though she could use some rest herself.

Hotaru
Hotaru herself stepped forward and took a drink after her companions, nodding her thanks to Taeith with a smile. She listened with ears perked with interest as Pagan introduced the rest of those who had come to gather around, letting her gaze rest on each of them for only a moment each. At the mention of a tour her smile widened a fraction, "I would love to be shown around, I think I can handle a bit more walking." she stated, glancing back towards Taeith after Pagan spoke his approval of the idea, "Lead the way."
She followed along with the group of Serorans as they lead the way into the camp, glancing around to take in what the Serorans had built here for themselves. She had to admit she was rather impressed, and she nodded to those they passed along the way, a small way to show her approval of everything they had done so far. Despite everything though, Hotaru could not help but feel a strange sense that something was going to happen, though she told herself it was merely her chronic nervousness, that the fact that nothing had gone wrong thus far did not mean something was about to go wrong.
