Checkpoint 2// A low rumble shakes the ground, tremors resonating in your hooves as the earth begins to splinter and crack. You run, just barely able to escape as the ground opens up and swallows several Seroran horses who weren’t as lucky. This new skylight has left its mark on the minds and hearts of many and new questions begin to surface. This new land was meant to be an offering of help, a thanks for the past and a bond for the future. Now doubts are rising. Why would Breim send their allies to a place where death may only be a step away?

Taeith | Gatherer Thank the goddess that her idea was a good one. Taeith let out the breath she had been holding, anticipating the answers from her fellow equines. Without another moment’s hesitation, Tae twisted around and led the way.
As they passed certain important landmarks, like housing or the fields, Tae pointed them out, giving extra details like the types of crops they were working on or who lived where and where to find certain individuals. The tour wasn’t meant to be a long one, and soon Tae felt like she had covered the entire camp. As she stopped to turn and ask if the Breim horses had any questions or concerns, something felt off.
It wasn’t the horses themselves that put her off, but it came from under her. Her friendly expression changed to one of confusion before she realized what was about to happen. Her gift was trying to tell her something. The earth underneath them wasn’t stable anymore. The shaking that started was barely noticeable, but it grew almost without warning. Tae’s eyes went to the ground and watched as the earth beneath her hooves cracked and splintered like a root system, and she knew she only had a few seconds to warn the others. ”We need to move…now!” she started, barely getting the words out as the ground split apart, making her jump forward and away from the pit that was now forming.
Her first thoughts were of finding safety and getting herself there as she tried to outrun the falling ground. She could hear the screams of those unlucky few falling into the newly formed pit and the ground behind her collapsing. Tae managed to find stable ground and looked for the others just as everything grew quiet. ”Is everyone okay?” she called, trying to catch her breath from the sudden shock.
So much for that progress.

Jamais Vu The Guard of Briem
Head nodded as Lady Hotaru had agreed for a visit, to browse around what the Serorans had done around here in the bare plains. It was best anyways surely the King would be curious as what was to come of these lands. Though Vu admitted to himself, he was merely curious for his own sake, what did these horses do? What could the mend from ground that had been untouched for years. Vu was never the kind to have a green hoof, when he much prefered red instead. Though as they moved onwards, Vu carried himself to the side of the Royal pair, making sure he could respond quickly to anything from front or behind. Heavy hooves pounded against the ground, bust tracking his thick feathering, he would be a filthy mess, he thought sadly to himself. He much prefered to be clean. Yet a hoof landed down, that seemed to be echoing with a low rumble in the ground. That wasn't natural, Vu thought and quickly looked around him. The ground continued to shake and Vu stiffened, though acted as quickly as the behemoth could. Eyes spotted the ground crack and sputter and he rushed before Lady Hotaru and Lady Cecillia, he couldn't return home with them snatched up from the earth. Truly a curse from that hard headed Kaia. " Get back both of you! Now" he shouted as he pushed them back, reinforcing everything. They needed out and all Vu could think was this was a trap, a play of the ground. Serorans knew the land better then themselves, as they were never the type to venture up. All this smiles and bows, all a ploy, and Vu followed to easily into this trap. Eyes narrowed and his nostrils flared, he'd be damned if they die here. He felt the ground crumble behind his back hoof and pushed forwards until the ground ceased to crack. Not many could be said for those other horses that fell into the ground. Eaten alive by the ground. Vu knew little if those were the Serorians equine, or perhaps other equine these sand devils wanted to be rid of. For all he knew everything was game, but then again, when was it not? These Sand devils could have feigned being so sweet and innocent. A herd so welcoming of others, could actually be pure evil instead. They say those are the worst demons. Eyes narrowed as he called out both of them. " My Lady Hotaru, Lady Cecillia are you okay? Are any of you harmed?" he asked, though quickly heard the voice of Taeith calling out, to ask if everyone was safe. Did they hope their figures would be missing? Did they hope their plan worked, but Vu would not fall so easily. He'd play along for now, but for how long? Vu couldn't tell. " I am not sure Taeith." he remarked as he glanced at his own back leg, the one almost snatched and could see the blood running down, but he didnt recall it. A part of him wondering if any of these horses had plant manipulation, and tried to snatch him down. Post 5

Leviticus||| Heavy Hoof
Leviticus would see that the tours were favored. That was fine. It kept them all close and near by so if any thing happens he could react and protect. He would be idlely walking with the group not really listening into Taeiths tours as he lived here and knew where others were. He kept his eyes on the new horses and the surrounding areas. He wondered how the blind horse got around besides smell and hearing. Was she graced with powers to see differently. He should ask later. THey do have to get to know eachother. He was fur shining from the sweat as he walked but he was used to this. He would shake his mane out and feel the breeze hit him slightly. THen heard something come out of Taeith's mouth and then felt and heard the ground start to shake. He looked down and moved slightly to the left and right. Then more of the ground shook and started to give away. His foot would sink and he bolted. He was very large and not as fast. His heart racing as well he never knew what pegasus's felt nor does he want to know. He kicked and ran as the ground gave away. He didn't think he was going to make it and he but all his strength in a leap forward as the ground gave away. Sending his body forward catching his lower stomach into the cliff side and his front hooves digging into the ground as he would use all his possible strength the gods gave him and getting his hind quarters up with him kicking. He rolled away from the side and his nose on his fore legs breathing heavy as he thought he was sure gona parish. He needed to take a moment to gather himself. post 4// words 303

Booker Screamer
The niceties were beginning to bore the chimeric stallion. With a sigh he trotted a bit away from the group, staying far enough away that he could not hear their conversations, but close enough that he could occasionally turn his gaze and see what they were doing. Taeith, of course, offered her services as a tour guide, which was rather unsurprising to Booker. She was very kind, and he hoped that would not get the best of her. At one point he moseyed over to Pagan, hoping to strike up a conversation with the light colored stallion. Before he could speak, though, an intense rumble rolled up from his hooves to his shoulders. The deafening sound of the earth spreading apart, stones and dirt cascading down with the sounds of screaming. Instinct forced the tall stallion forward, his teeth latching onto a saddlebag of a Seroran gatherer. Booker managed to pull them up, but others were not so lucky. As the shaking dulled, a shrill ring forming into a throbbing migraine in his skull, Booker regained his composure. His gaze traveled to the visiting group, and irritation spread up his back and left an anxious knot in his chest. He turned immediately to the visiting Breimians, his feet carrying him to Hotaru's range of hearing. " Does this happen frequently in this part of Sirith?" He questioned, biting back the venom that dared enter his tone. Post 4 | 237 Words

Hotaru
It was really quite ironic, Hotaru thought, that as soon as she thought that nothing would go wrong, that the ground began to rumble and before she could even register fully what was going on she was being pushed back by a familiar dark coat causing her to land quite heavily on her side. The air was pushed forcefully from her lungs, and it took a good few minutes for her to regain her lost breath and roll up into a more proper laying position. The red mare's red was swimming, her vision swirling for a moment as she blinked and shook out her mane which had fallen from her delicate bun. Violet eyes widened as she took in the sink hole which had opened up in the middle of the Seroran camp.
"How can this be?" She whispered, her heart aching as she realized that some of the Seroran's must have fallen into the deep, dark cavern below. It was not a fall anyone could survive. Still feeling sore and off balance from her fall --and cursing her age all the while-- Hotaru remained laying on the ground even as the shock of the sudden disaster dissolved into panic and shouts rang out from all sides.
"I am unharmed, Jamais Vu." Hotaru stated, looking up at her guard, "Please attend to your own injury and help any who need it, I merely need to catch my breath..." she began glancing around then, trying to locate all who had been in their small party, but her search was cut short when the one she remembered was called Booker spoke,
"It does happen on the surface at times," She began explaining, fighting to keep a pained expression from crossing her features, "But this land should have been safe. You must understand we would never have you stay on land we knew to be unstable."

As Taeith led the way, Pagan followed behind her, smiling as she explained the going ons of the camp. Sometimes he would add a note or two, giving some facts to the breimans as well. Overall, Taeith was doing a fine job on her own and the others Serorans they passed were pleasant enough, bowing their heads slightly or offering a smile to their guests. Pagan was extremely pleased with how everything was going and when he saw Booker come around, he smiled at the stallion, beginning to open his mouth in a greeting.
Then the earth gave a great shudder, the ground rumbling and roaring as he cracked open. Instinctively, Pagan spread his wings and flapped hard, taking off into the sky. His heart raced and his mouth dropped open in shock as he saw the earth give away, temporary homes and Seroran horses alike tumbling down into the deep black that was hidden under the ground. His wings falter, the muscles in his shoulders gave out and Pagan found himself having a heart attack once more as he plummeted. Gasping, he spread out his wings once more to at least catch drift, drunkenly landing on the ground with a thud. He hissed at the pain in his legs, but tried as best as he could to get up.
He needed to get up, needed to see what damage was done, what lives were lost in that abyss. Taking deep breaths, he got up onto his feet, wings flared and ready to take off again if need be. His mind raced as he faintly heard Hotaru's words. Should have been safe? they should have told them about earthquakes in the first place! What were they going to do, they need land, this land to save their herd! If they didn't get food growing quick enough their herd would die under the scorching sun. Raising his head and blinking, he only then realised his glasses had fallen off on his abrupt takeoff. Sighing, he lowered his head and quickly tried to search for them, his head already pounding.

Nero | Serora | Medicine Horse
Nero instantly noticed the rumble, at about the same time everyone else did. Within seconds cracks were splitting up the ground beneath them. At first, Nero was in pure shock. It as only when he heard the ragged screams of the other Serorans as the earth they stood on opened up. Finally, Nero was jogged into action. While the majority of the horses sprinted away, Nero upturned his attentions to his medicine tent. If they were going to survive, he would need his supplies in case anyone was injured. Without any hesitation, the blue roan stallion lunged into a gallop, easily covering the ground to the tent, the fractions of ground were not near the tent, yet. Once inside, the lanky horse scooped his most vital herbs and potions into his saddle bag. Suddenly a heart crushing crash sounded, and he saw the ground outside the tent split, rising and falling until a large hole appeared. It was spreading! As quickly as he could, he swung the bag over his haunches, ensuring it was secure enough for his dash to safety.
if the sun had not been beating down, he would have thought his endeavour easier, but as it was he was already overheating, and his muscles were not at their optimum. Nonetheless, he had little choice. Jump or die. He was sure that once this was over, and he had a drink, he would see the stupidity of this plan, but at this moment, it was he only plan he had. Backing up in the tent until his tail brushed the back of the tent, the argentine polo horse snorted. What a great introduction. With a little rear to spur him on, Nero sprinted. With every snorted breath he counted his strides, 5, 4, 3...he skipped a little, adding a stride. Then with a little flick, Nero used his hind legs to fling himself into the air, arching his back as much as he could. For a few moment, his leap felt slowed down. He had a few seconds to see the conditions of the other side of the ground. Crumbly and shattered, but the best ledge in the fraction. Then, just like that, his front hooves hit the rock, his hind legs scrambled at the edge. An overwhelming fear drive kicked in, overloading his logic and going into full survival mode. Nero struggled for a few more moments, snorting furiously as he heaved himself up, his hind legs slashing into the jagged ground, not enough to be of any major concern, mere grazes. But the sting of pain only served to encourage him to run.
Nero saw the group gathered at a safe distance, his breathes came in jagged gasps, eyes wide with post fear, his heart hammering in his chest. He looked at everyone worriedly, once he had ensured his saddlebag was still intact. It was, and luckily none of his herbs or medicines had fallen. "Is anyone hurt?" He asked softly, surveying everyone, "I was able to salvage most of my medical equipment." He wanted to assure them that they had at least some support, a little water and most of the essentials. With copper eyes blazing, he looked around at them all anxiously.

Cecillia | Royal family
Cecillia trotted along, listening to this and that being told about the camp. It wasn't very long until the filly was yawning, the excitement of the day getting to her. She nearly missed Aiko pushing his nose against her leg and whining quietly as she stood there trying to keep her eyes open near the end of the tour. The rumbling beneath her hooves, starting quietly but quickly growing stronger, were hard to miss for her sensitive touch and yelled even before the ground opened up. Aiko now barking frantically and nipping at her ankles had her running in an instant, her heart racing as she heard horses shout. She didn't know what to do, didn't know what was happening. So she kept running till the sounds stopped, Aiko licking her legs softly as she stood, her whole body shaking in fear. It was like the time they went to visit Argus. But this was the surface. Here were no tunnels with falling rocks, right? What was happening? She breathed heavily as she heard the sounds of horses. Taeith and then Jamais Vu called out. Also two of the other Seroran horses, Pagan and Hotaru called in. "I-I'm okay. I think." she called. Aiko barked. "Or maybe not. I don't know where I am." She had lost all orientation when running and now the initial rush of adrenaline was wearing off, she could start to feel pain in her legs where Aiko had been licking her. She had scraped her legs when fleeing, but by the lack of urgency in Aiko's quiet laps, it was nothing major. "W-what happened? Did r-rocks fall? Is everyone alright?" She kept turning her head left and right, trying to pinpoint the others, but didn't dare move in case that would cause more rumbling.

Taeith | Gatherer The Breim guard was the first to answer her question and Tae turned her attention to him. She noticed him glancing down at one of his back legs and she could barely see the dark stain of blood running down his leg. So far, one horse needed medical attention. The gatherer pulled her eyes away from him to look for the others. They hadn’t been separated too far from one another and it seemed everyone had managed to escape the falling ground. Levi was the next horse she focused in on, and he seemed shaken up. But, aside from that, he looked okay. Booker’s voice switched her attention to him, and he didn’t seem too pleased with the situation.
Hotaru was quick to answer the screamer, trying to reassure him and the rest of their group. Tae looked her over from where she stood; also noticing she just seemed to be out of breath. Taeith swallowed as she feared that an altercation might break out, and twisted her head to look for Pagan. The pegasus had landed a little off and seemed to have trouble getting up. Where was Nero?
Her question was answered as the medicine horse appeared with his medicine bag on his back. "Jamais has a leg injury…” Tae replied, before remembering the blind filly. Oh Alya…don’t tell her that the little one didn’t make it. Her worries were replaced with relief as she heard Cecillia calling out. The filly was looking around, apparently unable to locate them and Aiko was giving her legs a lick here and there. Tae watched the ground as she trotted over to Cecillia, wary of the ground giving way again. "Here…I’ll lead you back to the others. You weren’t too far off,” Tae said, eyeing the dog companion before taking her place at Cecillia’s side.
As she led the filly to Hotaru, she noticed that Cecillia had some scrapes. "Nero, please check on Cecillia as well.”
Taeith glanced over at the pit and her stomach dropped. All of that hard work and a few of her herd mates, gone in an instant. The way Hotaru had sounded; she was just as surprised that the land had collapsed. It might’ve just been bad luck that this happened as Tae couldn’t even believe that this had been planned…from either side. Maybe Kaia was trying to send them a message? Was she displeased that the two herds were coming together to help one another? Why would she be? Tae tried to recall any stories that might explain a dispute between the three gods, but couldn’t think of any. It was silly to even think about, but the gatherer was trying to weigh ideas.
The herd needed food, and this was a last resort. How were they going to save their herd now? Tae looked to Pagan, as he wandered around looking for something and hoped he had an answer.

Leviticus||Heavy Hoof
Levi just heard this high pitched pang noise in his head. Was it because he was breathing so heavy and his heart raced so fast that his head was in a dizzy state. He tried to calm his beating heart. His hearing coming too as the others spoke and he opened his eyes. Getting his large feathered legs under him he stood up. Shaking the dirt and debris from his body. She snorted rather loudly. Pushing dirt from his mouth. His lower stomach felt a bit in pain from the landing and his hock was missing some of the long fluff on it.He would grit his teeth from the pain. Mostlikely bruising would happen. He wasn't dead he shouldn't complain. Did these horses bring them here to just have them die in a trap. Let them get comfortable and then this happen? Did they trigger something to early? His mind was racing with possibilities. He moved slowly over to the edge and looked down. Senorians.... they just got swallowed up. Their own kind was getting smaller. He called out and tried to hear anything but just echos in the deep ground. He stepped back slowly not to fall in. He would pull his head towards the others. More towards his tribe. He felt like he failed to protect his own. He would trot over his head held high his ears back and a grimace on his face. He wasn't pleased rather a bit peeved to say the least. He felt like his family was getting smaller by the moment and now the land that they were going to get crumbled right under them like a bad joke. He flicked his tail a bit. He tried not to be so tense but it was hard for him after what happened and what is racing through his mind. "wha...." he opened his mouth but decided to shut it rather quickly. Did they need a fight right now... probably not. He will let ones more verse in talking calmly and rationally speak. He stayed near Taeith for the time being. If Nero came to take care of his injuries he would stay still and let him. post 5||| words 364

When Pagan finally kicked the pink spectals, he lifted them up and placed them on the brigde between his eyes, his world becoming tinted pink. Licking his lips, he turned his head and walked quickly where the Breimians and the others were, his body shaking stilll "i-is everyone alri-right?" he stuttered, clearing his throat and trying to regain himself. Looking back, he could only feel despair as he looked at the gap hole that was part of the camp. What were they going to do?? Serora needed land and it needed to be close. Talori was too far away and was probably happy to see the proud Serorans failing; the Aodh herd was already shipping them food in return for capturing vagabonds but they couldn't keep that up for forever. Were the Seroran's doomed? maybe this was a sign that Ayla had adbanoded her children, left them to fend under the other gods who seemed to be only toying with them.
Pagan's heart beat quickened and it wasn't long before he was taking deep breaths to calm himself, eyes shut and recollecting his thoughts but... he couldn't help but feel anger mixed in with his panic. Anger at the Breim horses. Had they given this land to them as a trick? to splinter off the herd and then kill them? capture them? It made Pagan's nostrils flare and-
no, he couldn't think like that. He needed to be open minded, to work through this and figrue something out between the herd. Opening his eyes, he looked at Taeith as she turned to him, desperation in her eyes. It made him falter, shaking his head slightly as if saying 'I don't know what to do either'. Biting his lip, he furrowed his brows "is this ground hollow? is there no bottom? m-maybe we could send search parties... their families need to be notified and... I need to get to my brothers and the Sultan...w-we need to...need to do something" his voice trailed off slightly, his heart aching.

Hotaru
After resting on the ground for a few more minutes, Hotaru rose, shaking her coat out slightly and quickly braiding her long mane with her telekinesis just to keep it up and out of the way. She found Pagan after a moment of glancing around and trotted towards him, though her movements were stiff and a bit pained after her rough fall. She came to stand by his side in time to hear his words and she shook her head sadly, before her spoke, " The ground in many places is hollow, and there is indeed an end," She hesitated for only just a fraction of a second, " but Pagan, if we cannot see the bottom then the drop is far too great for any to survive, and to send a search party would be very risky with the ground so unstable. I am sorry beyond belief, and I guarantee my people would never have given you this land with the intention for such a tragedy to occur. I am unsure as to what processes were undertaken to choose this land, and so I do not know what mistake had been made, but I can assure you I will do everything in my power to help you and your people recover from this." She said, compassion and perhaps a bit of sorrow leaking into her usually well composed and clear voice. post: 6 words: 220

Cecillia | Royal family
A sense of relief flooded through the filly as the sound of Taeith's voice grew nearer and she pressed herself against the mare's side, trying to keep contact as she was led back on trembling hooves. She mumbled a quick thanks to the mare, Aiko in kind giving a bark and she was left with Hotaru. She quickly sought contact with the older mare's flank, trying to comfort herself. The exchange of words however, made her horror grow. Apparently it was not so much stones that had come falling down, but the ground that had given out beneath them. She let out a sob at Hotaru's last words, tears making its way down her cheeks. "They're...they're dead?" she asked voice thick. How many? Who? Why? It seemed like every time she got do something, bad things happened. Was this why her parents kept her in the palace all the time? "It's like last time." She cried, pressing her head against Lady Hotaru's side. She was afraid because she was reminded of something that was said during her trip to Argus' temple. Something she had tried to deny as a possibility at the time. "Do you think the gods are mad with us? Is it truly a sign?" Because if it was, it was the most scary thing yet. All powerful beings releasing their wraths on mere mortals. Yes, the filly feared that.

Nero paused for a moment as he surveyed the gathered Serorans. He didn't dare to think about the horses that had fallen through the cracks. "Jamais has a leg injury…” Nero's head lifted, his ears pinned to Taeith. "Thank you, I shall see to him." The blue roan moved steadily to the large stallion, his ears pinned back. As he walked across to him, he briefly looked over at the others. he noted what Taeith said about Cecillia, he was anxious to look her over as well. Despite his overwhelming urge to do so, she had no visible injuries, and so he bound Jamais leg, he would hate for anyone to get an infection on his watch. Once he was sure the bandage was secure, he instantly headed for the small filly."Miss Cecillia," Nero peaked his voice softly, not sure whether he'd startle the foal. "I'm just going to look you over." He said, tilting his head submissively. He was not entirely sure of the correct customs, but after such a fright, he would not want to appear threatening in any way to the filly or her companions. As he scanned her over, his copper eyes caught onto the scarlet stream of blood dribbling down her fetlocks. "I'm going to apply some soothing ointment and bandages." However, Nero did not wait for her permission, he was far too worried to attend to everyone. The stallion wrapped the gauze around the filly's injured legs, pausing as Cecillia's little dog regarded him. The moment he was sure that the wounds were dressed, he sighed and looked around at the others. He moved to Leviticus and set to working on his injuries, watching the others carefully. Instantly Nero's ears picked up Pagan's words, "is this ground hollow? is there no bottom? m-maybe we could send search parties... their families need to be notified and... I need to get to my brothers and the Sultan...w-we need to...need to do something" The overo gently closed his saddlebag and walked steadily towards the ambassador. "Sir," Nero said softly, "Do you have any...injuries at all?" He had noticed the distorted tones and broken words the normally composed stallion was using.Posts |5| Words |369|

Jamais Vu Guard of Briem
It wasn't but moments after everyone recomposed themselves, that Vu could hear their questions, the edge in their voices as they asked about everything. Jamais' body tensed all the more, as his nostrils flared a bit. Lady Hotaru did well with trying her best to keep them calm. Eyes continued to look at Cecilia wishing she would venture closer to them, but the idea of him going to fetch her to bring her towards them sounded like an ill idea. Such as a move they would take wrong. Vu wouldn't dare to be the issue that would cause havoc amongst them all. Though Vu had to admit it was hard to keep his mouth shut, when he much rather speak out, but he knew Lady Hotaru would probably be aggravated by him. He was a guard, there to protect, he was not getting paid by opening his mouth. He snorted faintly. Brow rose as Nero came over to him, eyes scanning him for any ill content. Though the healer Nero never spoke a word to him, just did his job and left, he found it odd and perhaps a bit rude, but perhaps it was Briem sort of thing. Serora was known for being a bit odd regardless. With how accepting they are of any kind, perhaps there was no reason for words, when they already accepted them all. Jamais merely nodded his head to Nero and thanked him for the work. Vu was merely just being polite, especially when he was around Lady Hotaru. Vu gave thanks as he spotted Cecillia approach them and he felt more at ease and willing to guard them all. He felt the young lady Cecillia's words would make them question everything. Great. Eyes scanned them all, as he could sense their grief and lost overcome them. They truly had lost quite a bit, Vu thought to himself. With this ground turning to rumble and the desert turning more and more into sand. It was mostly likely the herd would die. Perhaps it is what they get for taking on way too many horses to feed. They should have had a plan for this all. But that was Vu, he had a plan for most things regardless. It was all a game and how Vu viewed it, more players are gone, and only the best are left. It was ill intent to think like that, but Vu wasn't here for feelings, but more to help himself in this game of who could out do who. He much prefered it that way. Vu eyed the whole, his ears pulling forwards as he strained to hear anything from down there, a cry and plea. So far nothing. Good, let them all be dead, its better to be dead, then to die slowly down there, he thought to himself. Post 6

Taeith | Gatherer Tae pinned her ears back as Pagan shook his head after catching her gaze. She looked away as he spoke, hearing the pain in his voice. If he didn’t have an idea on what to do, what were they to do? Hotaru was calm as she replied to the ambassador and the thought that there were now crumpled bodies of her herd mates at the bottom of the pit made Tae’s stomach clench tight. They would probably have to wait until the survivors came together to get an idea on who they had lost to the hungry ground, and she hoped that the body count was low.
The little filly’s cry brought Taeith from her thoughts and the gatherer felt for the little one. This must be such a scary ordeal for her and Tae sympathized with her. Movement caught her eye as Nero checked up on Levi and then Pagan. She hoped that Pagan was only suffering from shock and that it would wear off soon. They needed as many level-headed equines as possible to try and solve the problem that lay before them. What to do about this land and whether they could potentially get more due to such an unforeseen event.
”As much as I would like there to be a search party to find our fallen brothers and sisters, I believe Lady Hotaru is right…it’s much too dangerous to try and retrieve them, even if by flight,” Taeith started, trying to keep her voice steady. ”Is there a potential risk to more of this land collapsing? I mean, sink holes are very dangerous and can potentially get bigger. This land can’t be used until it stabilizes. I don’t want to scare anyone, but couldn’t this happen again soon?”
Tae felt a shudder run through her as she thought about the threat of another section collapsing.
”With this danger, we need another spot to try and grow the crops for our herd. Though, I’m afraid that it’s asking so much. It was a gift and it feels wrong to ask for more, but the threat of starvation grows with each passing second. I cannot bear to see our herd wither into nothing when we could do something to save them.”
The buckskin mare looked to the Breim horses, waiting for any kind of response. It may not have been her place to ask, but she had to give her fellow herd mates hope that something good can come out of this.

Pagan listened to Hotaru 's words but he wished he didn't have to, wished he could just fold back his ears and forget about this whole thing. He wished it were a dream and that his fellow herd members weren't lost in the darkness and making their way to join the countless other stars in the sky. He wished the he didn't have to be the one to bring the news to his brother and the Sultan but-
This was no time for wishing. Nodding his head at Hotaru and noted the greif that carried with her voice "I understand, my lady" He turned his head to look as Taeith spoke, nodding once more "Yes, I agree with Taeith. We need to get everyone away from this area, along with our supplies. We can't risk the hole opening up more or something disturbing it. We can't risk any more lives." Refolding his wings so that his feathers were askew, he looked back at the remains of the Seroran camp. "As for the discusion of new lands to plant, we will have to wait until everyone is out of danger and get word with the king" he spoke, looking to Lady Hotaru and then back to Taeith. He knew exactly how she felt, knew the diminishing hope that lay in her heart; in the whole herds heart but right now was not the time to discuss plans of new grounds to farm in.
Pagan looked up in time to see a familar shadow plot out the sun momentarily, and gasped as Andromeda landed on his back, just bewteen the muscles of his wings. In his excitment and nervousness to meet the Breimians he had completly forgot about his sweet little barn owl, having sent her back to Sedo with news of their progress in the lands that edged Sirith. Cocking her head slightly, Pagan let out a sigh of relief and looked to the others "We can get word of what has occured back to Sedo with her help, but first we need to figure out who's missing from our camp." There was a million things to do as of now, but Pagan needed to know who had been torn from this earth far too early.

Booker Screamer
The chimeric stallion sighed, closing his eyes and taking a deep breath. Getting angry at this point would accomplish nothing except a delay on refortifying their camp. As the equines frantically discussed a rescue for the fallen Serorans, Booker knew that there was no help for them. If they had not died on impact with the ground, the falling earth had most likely crushed them to death. There was no hope for them. He straightened, his eyes catching the grey coat of Nero as he bustled from wounded equine to wounded equine. Assess the damage. Booker turned from the Breimians, turning his head as he counted the horses that remained. Quite a few had been lost. After counting bodies, he moved to count supplies, considering their remaining rations and resources. Booker could only hope that they had not lost too much food. He turned back to Pagan, approaching the stallion cautiously, as if the earth would upturn beneath his hooves. " What should we do for now?" He questioned quietly, perking his ears to the palomino pegasus, hoping that the ambassador would have an idea of how to occupy them for the time being. Post 5 | 195 Words

Leviticus |heavy hoof
Leviticus would listen to the horses around him. Feeling something touch his leg he almost jumped but realized it was just someone mending his leg. He would give out a slow snort. His eyes looked at each and everyone. Glad that some of his herd mates were alive and not in the depths below trapped or dead. He would keep quiet his words might not come out calm or nice.So he just did what he was there to do and guard them of any potential ill will creatures. He was surprised on how Taeith seemed calmer then Pagen. He would start to back up ways away from the hole in the ground. He turned and his large roman nose brushed against Taeith's side. He started to move away. He now was not trusting of the land beneath him which seemed more stressful. How easy will he rest knowing that things like sink holes exist. He didn't wait till Pagan spoke to start moving. His heavy hooves distancing himself from the rest as he would perk his head and ears up and looked around ahead. Where will they go. Will they be stopped. Are the gods against them. How many will there be left of his herd. Post 6 words 207

Cecillia | Royal family
Everyone seemed shaken. She could hear it in their voices, not only their words. They were scared too, she realised. It made the filly hold her breath, trying to regain control of her body. Her tears ceazed, but she couldn't stop trembling, adrenaline still coursing strong through her veins as her heart beat wildely in her chest. She hurt, but others hurt too and she worriedly turned her head in Jamais Vu's direction. He was part of the help, she knew, but that was about it. "Are you alright, Sir Vu?" Aiko let out a soft growl as one of the foreign horses approached, letting him know he'd better not hurt his horse before retreating to sit near her hind legs so the medicine horse had room to work. Cecillia tried to be still but sensitive as she was, she couldn't help hissing a little in pain. She quickly apologized and gave her thanks as he finished. "Thank you, kind Sir." Aiko took up station in front of her again, seemingly inspecting the cloth. Cecillia kept quiet, trying to act properly now the first rush of fear had passed. She only hoped Lady Hotatu would know what to do.

Jamais Vu The Guard of Briem
Withers twitched as he listened to them all speak, all of them questioning what to do. None of them really acting like a leader, something they all needed. Vu, of course would say something, but with Lady Hotaru there, well the burden can be on her shoulders instead. He is but a guard, why must he be the voice of reason? Eyes watched them all, they looked so shaken so fearful. Vu at first of course was, with the risk of falling into eternal blackness, it would be foolish not to. But they were so worried for their dead ones, so worried of what to do next. All of them to focused on what the future would bring, that they neglected to make much of a decision for now. A faint snort escaped his nostrils, but it was nothing to strike as odd or amiss. Ears perked up when he heard his name called, he turned gently to eye the young Lady Cecillia. A soft smile graced his lips. " Lady Cecillia, you are too kind. I am well, just a mere wound. Nothing I cant handle. Are you doing well? Anything I can do for you?" he remarked with charmingly good manners. He had a mistake to make up for, but perhaps with everything that happened, it could slide by. He dipped his head to her and then looked to Lady Hotaru, as if all eyes on Pagan and her, everyone waiting for them to lead the way. Force them to be leaders and move on with it. The dead is dead, the ground is lost. What was the point of sticking around here? Post 7 WC||275

Hotaru
Hotaru stood and listened for a few minutes, taking stock of all the opinions and plans metaphorically put on the table. She nodded after it seemed everyone who wished to share their thoughts had done so, " I agree," She began, letting her gaze settle on Pagan for a moment to show he was the one she was mainly addressing, " We must first get all who are still with us to safety, tend to the injured, and perhaps then send some volunteers through the remains of this camp to salvage any supplies we can." She turned then, gazing about the areas away from the crater, her mind working out where the best place to retreat to may be. Her first instinct was to find a tunnel opening and seek shelter underground, but she knew the Serorans would not find that very comforting, especially not after such a disaster. She turned to look at the gathered Serorans around her once more, offering a soft smile she hoped would be soothing, "T hose of you willing should go now to help your fellow herdmates who have been injured or trapped within their tents. I will assist in any way I can, and afterward if you so wish I will accompany you to seek an audience with the king." After she spoke she turned to her guard, noting with another small smile how he treated their youngest so well, " Jamais Vu, please watch over Lady Cecillia, and keep her safe." She said to him softly before turning to the lady in question, " And you my dear have been very brave today, Jamais Vu will take care of you until we have finished salvaging what we can." post: 7 words: 281

Taeith | Gatherer All the ideas that were presented narrowed down to: find survivors and salvage anything they could. It seemed simple enough for the Serorans to accomplish. Tae watched as Pagan’s familiar landed on his back, and almost let out a breath of relief at the news they could use the barn owl to send word about their predicament. Thank Ayla for such a gift to return to them. Birds were so useful in times of need; the gatherer was almost tempted to get a bird familiar for herself the next time the opportunity presented itself to her. But, that was for the future…if things went well here that was.
She was almost startled when Levi’s nose brushed against her side and she watched the giant heavy hoof walk off. He was a stallion of little words, if she remembered, and she hoped he was doing okay after the collapse. He would come in handy as they searched for survivors as his bulk could move almost anything it seemed.
Taeith looked around and noticed there was still some of the farmland and tents used to hold their farming supplies still standing, though barely. It wouldn’t be dangerous to go through them, but she could gather what she could carry and get out before any of the structures could collapse and potentially trap her if the ground started to shake again.
”I’ll take a horse to look for supplies. I have my saddle bag that can hold seeds, or other things if need be. We’ll be on the lookout for survivors, too, of course.” She doubted there would be any where she wanted to go, but it couldn’t hurt to have an eye out.

Nero listened intently to what was being said, his ears flicking this way and that as he followed the conversation. "I still have plenty of supplies, and am uninjured. I would happily accompany anyone back to the camp to see to any who are wounded at all?" He offered softly, looking around the group, and silently hoping he'd gained some respect for his actions. He was severely worried about Pagan, their leader appeared...out of sorts somehow. He couldn't pin his hoof on it without inspecting the Ambassador himself, but that would be impertinent of him. Instead he turned his attention to his supplies, surveying what remained in his depleted saddlebag. Some gauze bandages, some disinfectant, pain killers, anesthetic, sedatives, and a few other bits and bobs. He stared at a vile of dark pills and looked away sullenly. He had 12, as was customary, and each one felt like lead at his side. He shook his head quickly and looked up at the others, hoping they didn't see his concern over his lack of resources. "I had more supplies in my tent, if at all possible I should wish to try and retrieve some of my viles, I had little time to grab anything that I was fixing up at the time." He paused and looked down at where the group had run from, and shivered involuntarily. Upon hearing Lady Hotura he straightened a little, regarding her group. He was glad that the large stallion was mostly uninsured, but he was concerned about the youngster, Lady Cecillia. He had to try and ignore his worries, as there were horses below him who may need his help more. Post|6|Words|282|

Cecillia | Royal family
Cecillia nodded at Jamais Vu's question. "Yes, I think so. Aiko helped and the kind Sir too. It only stings a little now." In a lower voice she whispered. "A-are the other horses really d-death." She swallowed thickly, the idea making her stomach churn. Death horses were gone for good. Her parents had told her that. Blaine was death. He wasn't coming back. But there were horses who said you do come back, so it made the filly a little confused. It wasn't a good thing though. It made her sad. She couldn't imagine if you knew someone and then they suddenly weren't there anymore. She had only traveled with Blaine once and it was strange. He was sick she was told when asked. She wondered if he had known he was going or if it was sudden like the horses here.
Lady Hotaru spoke and Cecillia managed a little smile at her praise. She deflated quickly though as she heard Jamais Vu had to watch her while the others did stuff. She let her head hang, suddenly very tired again. She was so useless. She wished she could do something to help. Aiko sensed her sudden mood shift and give her ankle a little lick from where he lay. Cecillia tried to smile again, but it was clearly forced and faked. "I'm sorry, Sir Vu," she whispered guiltly. Now the stallion was stuck with her, otherwise he could have helped as well.

Leviticus |heavy hoof
Leviticus would be out in the open a bit more to cool down. His head raised to the sky and closed his eyes a bit to just pray. He didn't do that often but figured it was a good time now. He hoped the herd can get though this and grow crops and raise to the numbers like they were. He would listen to the talk in the short distance away from him. To get supplies from the wrecked tents and possible survivors. He wasn't big on words though he probably was the biggest around. He knew if he spoke at that time things would of gone south for both their sides. So cooling off was good. He didn't want to be the reason the two herds couldnt work together. Levi would move towards Nero he would think the medicine horse needed some help with his tent. They all needed medical supplies didn't they? " Hey Nero. you needed help with your tent? I can lend my abilities if you would like to try and gather some things" he would raise a brow. He wasn't sure which one was his tent but he could try and hold it up for him to gather things quick enough. Post. 7 Word count 205

Jamais Vu Guard of Briem
Ears perked forwards as Lady Hotaru spoke of him to look after Lady Cecillia, in most circumstances, he would be disappointed in having to watch over one so young and incapable. Yet there was a beauty in watching over her this time around. He had no desire to try and make amends of what had happened. He didnt want to run about the place in chaos like he felt many of these horses would. Disasters had a way of bringing out the worst in equines and Vu was curious to see who would break first? Who would be the first to loose themselves in the madness?
Yte his thoughts disrupted as Lady Cecillia spoke to him. She spoke of death and he pondered how to respond, but perhaps it was best to act as if he didnt quite hear her. That was a good plan, until he heard her mutter her apologies at him. A brow arose a bit as he looked to her. "Lady Cecillia, you my dear have nothing to apologize for. Honestly, its best I do not do to much with a wound. Tell me though, how did you notice the fall so quickly?" he remarked with a curious manner. Despite never wanting foals of his own, or ever wanting to settle down, he did seem to not mind being around young ones. He found them entertaining in a way. How they could be blindly blunt and say how they really felt. Vu smiled a bit, his voice soft and light to her as always. "I was surprised to look over to see only Lady Hotaru and you, Lady Cecillia running for the hills." he chuckled a bit in a light manner.
"Here lets move into some shade." he remarked as he took a few steps forward, his thick hooves pounding on the ground as clear way to hear him where he was going. It was only a few hoofsteps to find a tree with some shade. A nice way to get out of the blaring sun, none of them were so accustomed to.

Cecillia | Royal family
Cecillia stood quiet, quite sad she wasn't able to be off use. She bobbed her head up and down unconvincingly as Sir Vu told her not to apologise. "You said it was just a scrape before," she mumbled, turning away. Which time did he lie? Either way it would have been to make her feel better. She didn't want that. She turned her head at his next inquiry, puzzled. "The ground trembled," she answered loud and clear now. "Did nobody feel it? It was like before..." she trailed off, thoughts going back to the horrible memories off back then and now earlier.
"Is it the gods?" she wondered aloud again. "Are they mad? Is it my fault?" She was there both times. In her young mind it somehow felt like she might be the cause. What if the gods where angry at her? Then those horses were death because of her. They wouldn't come back. Aiko whined, picking up on her distress, and licked her leg. She numbly let herself be moved towards the shade where she practically sunk through her legs. She was exhausted and the shade made her want to sleep.
