Midnight Shadows BlueUnicornJ13’s Sven and fediarwoods’ Passoa Setting: Sven’s house on the southern shores of Aquore in the middle of the night during a storm, Year 1699 (Summer)
The summer rains had been harsh on the tropical peninsula of Aquore this year. It rained on and off for days, keeping most horses indoors. The ones who couldn’t didn’t spend too much time outside. They got their errands and chores finished and returned to the safety of their houses to dry off and bundle up.
It was a rainy night, and flashed of lightning lit up the world before loud clashes of thunder followed. Sven rolled over in his sleep, groaning at the loud sounds of the storm outside. The waves on the shore could be heard slamming against the beach as the wind picked up its pace. His olive green eyes opened, blinking sleepily. ‘Oh Cascade, when will you stop these horrible storms? Rain is nice every now and then, but dang, I think we’ve all had enough of it by now.’ The young stallion thought groggily to himself as he threw his blankets off of himself and climbed out of his bed.
He trudged out of his bedroom and took a glance out the kitchen window at the pouring rain on the sand. It was relaxing in a way, to hear the steady beating of the rain on the roof and the crashing of the waves on the shore. Too bad the thunder was a little too much for him to actually get some sleep. He didn’t really classify himself as a heavy-sleeper or a light-sleeper, but all of the noises together was definitely keeping him awake. Sven sighed and was about to return to his bedroom when he caught a glimpse of something moving outside. Narrowing his brows in confusion and squinting into the darkness, he tried to figure out what it was that had moved outside. Surely, no one was out there. It was the middle of the night, and he didn’t exactly live in a very populated area. Not to mention the horrid storm raging outside. “It’s probably nothing. Just my eyes playing tricks on me.” Sven whispered to himself when he didn't see anything again, shaking his head before going to sit on the couch in his small living room. Maybe if he sat here long enough he'd fall back to sleep, or at least that's what he hoped.

It was pretty clear the weather Gods didn't have any mercy on Aquore this year. Every year it felt like it was even worse than the year before, and even though Passoa didn't mind a little rain, the weather from the past couple of days was just horrid. Rain, rain and even more rain. The sky was as black as ink, and even the stars were hiding behind those rumbling, heavy rainclouds. Water came from the sky faster than it hit down from a waterfall, and sometimes it felt like the land was drowning underneath her hooves.
With firm steps Passoa made her way to the weather. She was soaking wet, from tip to toe, but she couldn't even mind anymore. The sound of the crashing waves hitting the shore made her come to ease, there where the thunder rose the anxiety in her body. She forbid herself from letting the fear take over and stubbornly stepped on, her curly coat and mane soaking wet from the rain that still dripped onto her back. She passed by some farm homes, that just like the homes in the villages burned that warm, cozy light. She snorted, lowering her head and walking on, she had to get home and get some rest. She could currently hit herself from getting out when the weather was so horrid, but when she made the choice early this morning she knew business had to be done. She had clients that had to be taken care of and -one of the bad sides of her job- her job wasn't exactly the one that dealt with 'honest and forgiving horses', so she couldn't risk not showing up.
Another thunder enlightened the sky for a second, the roots of the light hitting down in the jungle farther along the shore. A shiver ran over her back, making the big scar on her back itch. She turned her ears, scanning the area, and led her gaze glide over the beach. There she found a small, cozy home, situated between three palm trees. As she passed by she looked at the windows that showed that same warm glow and for a moment her steps felt still. Should she? Could she? She snorted again, lowering her head, feeling how heavy the rain felt on her tired back. She turned her ears in her neck for a moment, hating herself for what she 'bout was to do, but than she turned them back forward and walked towards the door. With a nudge of her soft, wet nose she knocked softly on the door and put on her friendly face. Now it was about to hope there was someone home and awake, and that it was someone nice and friendly that was willing to help. But that, she could only hope for.

Sven sat down on the comfy couch, drawing a blanket over himself as he sat in the light of the candle that he had lit moments before. A hint of coconuts could be smelt from the candles’ fumes while they wafted across the small house, and the stallion took deep, calming breaths of the relaxing scent. It reminded him of sunnier days on the beach when he could actually see the sun and feel its warmth. He sighed heavily, resting his head on one of the few plush pillows that he had laying around. Maybe if he sat there long enough, he would fall asleep eventually despite the storm.
It seemed like moments after he had closed his eyes there was a knock on the door. Sven’s ears swiveled in the direction of the sound, his eyes cracking open to peer into the dim light. After a moment of silence, he shook his head, settling back down onto the couch. It was just the thunder. There was no way there was anyone knocking on his door at this ungodly hour. Plus, not very many horses knew where his home even was expect his family and a few close friends, but even they didn't show up very often. Before he could fall asleep, the noise returned, a little louder this time, and Sven rose to his hooves. He made his way to the door, opening it slowly as if he wasn’t entirely sure if his mind wasn’t playing tricks on him. The sight of a horse before him startled him a little before his eyes finally adjusted to the darkness of the night outside. The form at his door finally took shape into a dripping wet, young mare, and Sven blinked a few times in surprise. Perhaps this wasn’t a punishment at all but rather some sort of blessing. As his mind settled from the shock of having a visitor on his doorstep, the chestnut stallion returned her friendly smile with one of his own. “Why hello there~” Sven murmured as a flash of lightning lit the night sky, followed by the deafening sound of thunder. “Do you want to come inside? It’s not exactly very friendly or safe out there right now. You could dry off and spend the night if you’d like or just ride out the storm for a little while.” The stallion offered, taking a step away from the door for her to enter if she pleased. “My name is Sven by the way. What’s yours?”

The door didn't show any sign of movement, nor did the flickering light coming from the small window. She could hear no sound of movement either, and for a moments she thought no-one was about to open the door, or that they weren't at home after all, or just sleeping. The thunder hit again, drawing her silhouette on the wooden door. She hesitated for a moment, but than decided on the last option - he or she was probably sleeping, or not into any company. She sighed, but just when she was about to turn and walk on, the door slowly opened up. She squeezed her eyes at the light that fell on her curly, wet coat, but they quickly adjusted to the light and with a friendly smile she looked up at the silhouette that opened the door for her.
Her eyes found a quite handsome stallion, his coat divided into spots. He had a friendly look on his face, and his smile was warm and welcoming. She smiled back at him, pretty content she'd chosen his house out of all the houses she'd passed. He seemed nice and from what she could tell from the lightning behind him, he was indeed a quite handsome fellow.
She lightly nodded and smiled charmingly when he said a friendly hello, but got startled by the lightning that again hit high in the pitch black night sky. She snorted softly, her ears turning backwards for a moment, but when the sound silenced back to the crashing of the waves and the tickling of the rain, she turned her ears back forward, back towards him. ''I would love that,'' she softly spoke as she nodded her head lightly, and looked up at him from under her black lashes. As he made a step backwards and made some room for her to come in, she eagerly but still a bit on her guard stepped forward, her rose grey coat almost touching his painted one when she passed his body. She took a look around before she turned her gaze back to him.
She smiled at him, curling her neck slightly. ''Nice to meet you, Sven, my name's Passoa.'' She smiled at him, curling her neck slightly. ''Thank you for letting me in, and I'm sorry I'm already ruining your floor,'' she said as she looked down to the floor underneath her, where all the raindrops dropped from her coat, upon his clean floor. She smiled a bit goofily and guilty at him, just at the moment a cold shiver ran over her back again. She only now felt how cold she actually was, now that she was inside where it was seemingly warmer than it was outside.

Sven waited a few steps away from the door for her to decide whether or not she wanted to come in or return to trekking through the storm. The pattering of the rain and the crash of the waves on the sandy beach could be heard, and the occasional flash of lightning lit the night sky. It definitely wasn't traveling weather, and it probably wasn't very safe at all to be out there right now in the middle of the night. Talori did have its fair share of thieves and bandits along with its terribly rainy weather this time of year, and while he didn't know this mare, he didn't want to imagine what might happen to her if she wandered off alone again.
He felt his heart nearly skip a beat at the sight of her lightly colored eyes looking up at him through her thick lashes, the contrast of her darker pelt making them stand out even more. As she stepped further into the light of the candles he had lit, more of her features stood out such as her dark hair and curly pelt. She was certainly a sight for sore eyes underneath the water that dripped off of her pelt. A charming smile pulled up the corners of his lips as she introduced herself, and Sven dipped his head ever so slightly in return. "Passoa." The stallion repeated in a provocative tone. "It's a pleasure to meet you as well~" He said, his green eyes dancing in the candle light. His gaze drifted to the floor where a puddle gathered at her hooves, and he returned her slightly guilty grin with an innocent shrug. "It's alright. A little water never hurt anybody, and I couldn't just leave a pretty lady such as yourself standing out in the cold rain." Sven murmured, moving further into the house. He opened up a basket near the door to his bedroom and pulled out a large towel for her to dry herself off. He returned with the towel and craned his neck to toss the fabric over her shoulders. "Here you go. Once you're all dried off, I've got some blankets that you can use to warm yourself back up." The stallion offered with a smile, tilting his head toward his living room. "Feel free to make yourself at home." Sven said and plopped himself back on the couch, glancing back in the rose grey mare's direction. Part of him wanted to be defensive and cautious like his parents had taught him to be about strangers, but another told him that everything would be fine. What could a little mare such as herself do anyhow? "Not really a great night to travel, is it?" He asked a little jokingly and chuckled softly.

She slightly smiled at him when he repeated her name, a playful twinkle in her golden eyes. She followed him with her eyes, while she in silence enjoyed the warmth of his cozy home that enclosed around her body. Only the missing of the wind, the tickling, heavy rain on her back and the thunder directly above her head were already a relieve. She couldn't help but smile when he said she was a pretty lady and even though she wouldn't admit it, her cheeks would be turning slightly red if they could've.
As he turned around to get something a little further in the room, she took the time to let her gaze glide through the room. His home wasn't that big, but it being cozy definitely made up for it. She had seen the house her father lived in; large, expensive, totally fixated on the power it had to radiate. Maybe that was exactly the reason why she hated the very prosperous people. They had a certain air around them, which literally made her feel sick. She herself grew up in one a much more simplistic home and she had to work hard for anything she wanted to have and even though it wasn't simple growing up like that, it had made her into the mare she was today. It had made a certain preference -she was unaware of- of horses that worked for their life themselves, instead of letting others work for them. It made a whole different kind of horses, and she really enjoyed to be around like that kind a lot more, if she may say so.
And he seemed to be just like that. He didn't seem like a stallion that had been given everything without him even having to sigh for it. Seemingly from his home, and how he looked himself, he had to work for it. He probably knew what it feel like and that made her feel more comfortable with who she was.
She gave him a thankful nod, lowering her head just a little below his for a moment, when he swung the towel around her shoulders. She curled her neck to dry herself with the towel, and when the thing was more wet than dry, she took it off her back and put it on the floor to dry the water that had drained off of her. It felt a lot better to have a not so soaking wet coat, and now that her coat was partially dry, and partially wet, it curled even more than it did when it was wet, and more than it would do when it was dry.
She followed him with her warm, golden eyes to the cozy living room where the burning light of the candles came from. ''You have a lovely cozy home,'' she said, smiling, as she made herself comfortable close to the burning, dancing fires, so she could enjoy the warmth of them the most.
'Not really a great night to travel, is it?' He surely was a charming stallion, and confident and fun enough to keep the conversation going - she liked that. ''It surely wasn't,'' she said, giggling, making it look a bit of a not thought through mistake. Even though that was exactly what it wasn't: smuggling things across Aquore's border before shipping it off was a lot easier when it was dark, stormy and the thunder made loud noises unheard of.
''I would've chosen otherwise, but the storm sort of caught me off guard when I though I could handle a bit of rain,'' she said as she looked up to his green eyes, those green eyes that colored so nicely against the warm color of his chestnut painted coat. ''Luckily your home stood exactly on my traveling route back to home,'' she said laughing.

As he sat on the couch and waited for her to dry off some of the dripping rainwater from her pelt, he couldn't help but cast his green eyes in her direction on occasion. It had been a long time since he had had a visitor in his house, and he sent up a silent prayer that his little house wasn't too messy. Sven was a young stallion after all, and he had other things on his mind other than cleaning and tidying up his house. His sideways glances weren't entirely out of worry though. He had to admit that Passoa was pretty easy on the eyes. Her curly pelt was certainly unique, and now that she was drying off, it stuck up even more in certain places, making it more noticeable.
Sven didn't notice that he had been staring until she had tossed the towel onto the floor to dry the puddle that was there and had begun to speak. Sliding his gaze from her to the room around them, he tried his hardest to hide the fact that he might have been looking at her a little too long. It wasn't every day that he had a mare show up to his house in the middle of the night though, and a small part of him wanted to think this was some sort of trick or prank one of his friends was playing on him. It was very likely that some of his fellow entertainers would find this kind of joke pretty funny.
At her compliment of his home, Sven gave her a proud smile, nodding his head slightly. "Thank you, Passoa. I really appreciate it. It took a lot of time and hard work to get it up and functional, but it was definitely worth it in the end." He said as she sat down near the candles, causing the flames to flicker slightly from the movement of the air. As the small mare did so, Sven stood up a moment, taking the blanket off of the couch where he sat to place it around her. "Here. I bet the rain made you pretty chilly," he said, placing the blanket over her shoulders with a playful smile like he had with the towel.
Sitting back down, Sven's ears swiveled in her direction, listening intently to her as she spoke. His eyes focused on her: the way her hair curled and framed her face, her amber eyes that seemed to burn in the candle light, and the hint of a scar that he could see beneath the blanket. He wondered for a moment what could have happened to her where she would have gained such a thing on her pelt. It made him a little angry that someone even try hurting someone else like that and permanently scaring them, but he had to admit that he liked the bit of mystery that it added to her already alluring appearance and demeanor. "Well, I'm glad this home on the beach in the middle of nowhere is a convenience to someone else as well. Everyone I know thought I was crazy to build a place all the way here. I kind of like the solitude a bit after spending so much time in the bigger cities though." Sven muttered, relaxing back against the cushions on the sofa as he let out a hearty chuckle. "So where exactly do you call home? Not to be nosy or anything. I just think I would remember if I had seen you around before."

The warmth of the flickering candle lights shone against her chest and sides, beginning to slowly warm her up. She closed her eyes for a moment, being aware of the fact he might've stared at her for a little too long. She couldn't really place the stare, though. Was he just enjoying looking at her? Or was it the simple, much more obvious fact that he might not completely trust her? She couldn't blame him if that was the reason - which fool wandered through a heavy, rainy storm, in the middle of the pitch black night? She was. It was strange and even though she could explain easily, she rather didn't.
Thinking about he might even throw her out if he knew what she was, or who she was, a cold shiver ran down her spine. She opened up her eyes again after what felt like minutes, but were only seconds. ''You can really see you've put a lot of work in your home. It gives a home so much more character than when one just buys it.'' She returned a soft, warm smile for his before she let her eyes wander from his beautiful green eyes, along the room, until she focussed her sight on the dancing candle lights for just a moment.
It were the soft noises from him getting up from the couch that made her look up again. When she did, he had already arrived at her side and softly swung the blanket over her shoulders, just like he had done with the towel. She smiled. This time not because she wanted to be friendly or nice, but because she was very thankful, and because he was so nice to her. It made her feel warm on the inside, as if the dancing candle lights spend a few seconds in her stomach. ''Thank you for being so kind to me.'' Her warm, golden eyes looked up at his green ones for a moment, before pulling the blanket higher up over her shoulders. She really had been cold and the warmth of his home and even more the warmth of his company had really been a blessing.
''Building your house on the beach never is crazy,'' she chuckled. ''The sea's your best neighbor.'' She smiled and watched the candle lights dance in his green eyes. From the way he spoke about the cities, and how he enjoyed the rest and silence when he was finally back home, she could carefully assume he could be a traveler - just like her. Probably with another objective, though.
She enjoyed seeing him so relaxed, leaning back in the cushions of his couch. It made her feel more on her place, more comfortable, maybe even a bit at home. She turned one of her ears for a moment when he asked her about her home. There it was. The thing that always broke beginning friendships up, the thing that made the lingering, small fire of dislike flame up like a bush fire. She smiled slightly, not really knowing how to tell him, she rather didn't... But he'd been so nice to her, and so open and friendly about his home, that she could not block him out.
''I live surrounded by nature, somehow just like you. My home's hidden in the jungle, because I love the sound of nature, and the animals that live there surrounding me. I'm not that fond of horses, you know,'' she said a bit jokingly, laughing, even though it certainly had a piece of truth hidden in it.

Sven sat, enjoying the light and warm proved by the candles' flame. The sound of the storm could still be heard outside: the thrumming of the rain on the roof, the crashing of the waves against the shore, and the occasional droning of thunder clashing in the dark clouds above them. All of that noise seemed to have grown quieter though now that he had company. Despite how unexpected it had been and his lack of knowledge about her trustworthiness, he had to admit that it was nice. Coming from a rather large family, he had grown accustomed to spending time with others, and when he had moved out during his 15th year to become the entertainer his parents didn't want him to be, he kind of missed all of the company that he had at his parent's home. That was part of the reason why he had built his house so close to his parents, not only could his younger siblings come to visit him when they pleased, but he could always stop by and bless his family with his presence for a little while. His green eyes wandered around the small house with a glint of pride. It had been a lot of hard work and time to erect with small building on the beach, but it had been a major step in his life. It marked his adulthood and freedom to do as he saw fit, to an extent of course. "Aw, you're going to make me blush~" Sven said playfully, casting a bright smile in Passoa's direction. "I can definitely agree with that though. Building a home seemed so much more.... fulfilling. Not to mention that I didn't exactly have a lot of money to buy a house somewhere when I moved out of my parent's place." The stallion chuckled softly, a deep sound that reverberated in his chest.
After he had wrapped the blanket around her and settled back down in his place on the couch, Sven couldn't help but see the smile on her face. As an entertainer, he had gotten pretty good at judging other horse's emotions from their expressions, and from the very beginning of his career, he couldn't help but love the smiles that he could bring to others. It was addicting in a way to make others happy or brighten their day somehow. He wasn't sure if it was Cascade's way of telling him that this was what he was meant to do in this world or if he had just happened to find the job that was meant for him, but the smile that tugged at her lips reminded him of those joyous, happy times when he sang and danced for the crowds or even the sea goddess every now and then. Her voice snapped him out of his daze, and Sven gave her a gentle nod of his head. "It's no big deal really. I'm just glad that I could help you out." He murmured, turning his olive green eyes toward her amber ones with a warm smile.
At her words, Sven let out a small laugh, nodding in agreement. "The sea is definitely the best neighbor to have, though it makes a lot of noise sometimes." He said jokingly, grinning impishly. "I guess my friends and family were just worried about me being out here by myself. There's lots of dangerous folk out there." Pirates and rouges were the first thing that popped into his mind. He had never met any of the rather free-living Talorians despite living on the outer edges of Aquore where they were said to be, but he imagined that some of them were probably less than friendly. That was probably why he got dirty looks in the bar when he started singing 'It's a pirate's life for me' now that he thought about it.
His ears perked up with interest after the short pause it had taken for Passoa to answer his question. He had worried for a moment that he might have been a little too intrusive for a first encounter but was relieved when she eventually spoke. Sven laughed along with her for moment at her small joke. "I can definitely understand that dislike at times. Sometimes horses can drive you crazy with their what they do and say, but I hope you'll find it somewhere in your heart to lend a little fondness towards me." Sven said in a playful tone. "Nature is nice to be around. I've heard the jungles can be really beautiful when you find the right spot. Gotta watch out for those monkeys though; some of them are pretty devious when it comes to stuff you leave laying around." He said with a smirk, remembering the few times he had seen monkeys around during his travels. They hadn't exactly been very kind to leave him any of his food behind when they came rampaging through his camp in the middle of the night. Pondering silently for a moment, Sven wondered where her home could possibly be situated. The Wilds were a dangerous place to be for anyone since they were riddled with predators like jaguars. Perhaps that was how she had gained the scar that he had seen on his shoulders.

She'd completely forgotten about the storm outside. All she could hear was the soft tickling of the rain on the roof of Sven's cozy house, and the violently crashing of the waves against the shore. Both those sounds couldn't get on her nerves - she'd rather enjoy them. Water somehow always knew it's ways to calm her. Whether it was the soft sound of rain or the falling down of the water of a waterfall, it soothed her. And so it did now. Her breathing calmed down and she slowly felt more and more comfortable, enjoying his warm, low voice talking to her. She softly sighed, a content smile on her small framed face.
"The sea is definitely the best neighbor to have, though it makes a lot of noise sometimes. I guess my friends and family were just worried about me being out here by myself. There's lots of dangerous folk out there." She listened to his words as she gazed into the candle light. She damn well knew what he mend with 'dangerous folk'. She probably didn't fit in his label of dangerous folk, but she surely was a part of what he labeled it as. Rogues were probably on that list, and that was just exactly what she was. She surely wasn't a thread to anyone. The only one she really brought into dangerous with her job was herself and herself only.
She smiled and looked back over at him, a playful twinkle in her golden eyes. ''I thought tall and handsome men like you could protect themselves,'' she said with a playful, provocative tone in her soft voice. She looked from under her thick lashes, lowering her head closer to the ground. She felt like laying down, but she knew very well that it wouldn't take long for her to fall asleep. And she liked his company a bit too much for that.
''You've already reached that fondness spot,'' she said with a playful wink. ''And that while I defended it so hard.'' She giggled and closed her eyes for a moment. He really was an enjoyable men, and not so pushy as some of the stallions she'd met over on the Dead Isles. ''Ohhh, those monkeys. Don't get me started on them! Those little thieves always steal my stuff when they get the chance. No matter how good I burry it in my bags. Luckily my home isn't in their reach, they're too afraid of water.'' She chuckled for a moment, but than realized she might've told him a little to much. On the other end, she really didn't mind. He was very nice, very handsome and he couldn't be more charming. Why'd she have to keep her guard up? He was not a thread to her. Not in a bad way, atleast.

It hadn't crossed his mind that his new companion might be of the sort of horses he was speaking about. To him, he imagined the dangerous and unlawful citizens of Aquore much like he had as a colt: big, intimidating, and bloodthirsty. Not to mention the stories he had heard of pirates and thieves didn't exactly describe them as anything other than dangerous and mean. He just couldn't imagine the little mare sitting in his living room was anything like that, though he did wonder for a moment what she might be. Perhaps she was some sort of trader since she had mentioned that she did travel.
At her suggestive tone, the young stallion smirked impishly, seeing the playful sparkle in her amber eyes. "I'm more of a lover than a fighter. After all, I've got to take care of these good looks~" He joked, raising his chin as if to show off his charming features. After a moment, a slightly more serious expression crossed his face as he returned to a more relaxed posture, turning his gaze back on Passoa. "I do know a thing or two about defending myself and those closest to me though.... just in case," Sven said, gazing at her bright eyes from where they looked up at him through her thick lashes.
A playful smile pulled up the corners of his mouth at her words, and he chuckled softly as she winked at him. "Well, I'm certainly glad that I won that battle to get there. I kept telling everyone that my stubbornness would pay off some day." Sven murmured, giving the rose gray mare a small wink. He certainly thought that it had paid off now. It had been a while since he had had such great company. A little bullheadedness, charm, and kindness on his part was worth it to have someone to talk to that seemed to be enjoying herself as much as he was enjoying her company. Sven nodded as Passoa began talking about the pain that monkeys often brought with them for travelers, and his long, blonde hair bobbed with each movement. When she described a bit more about her home, he paused for a second to think. Near water? Maybe she lived near some sort of water in the jungle? Right now, the Isles of the Dead hadn't crossed his mind even once to answer the question of where her home was. "They're definitely pesky, little things when they want to be. I once had a whole pack of them swarm my camp in the middle of the night when I was traveling near the Wilds. I don't think they left one thing behind aside from my drums. I guess they didn't think those were very important." Sven said, tilting his head a little to motion toward the small set of drums that sat near one of the corners of the room that he often used during his performances. Thank the gods they had left those alone, or he wouldn't have known what to do.

She laughed playfully at his words, he certainly was more of a lover than a fighter. Maybe that was one of his weak spots - that it was clear he wasn't the one that would pick a fight, even though he could if he did so. ''Lucky thing that I like lovers way more,'' she flirted as she looked at him with that same playful and provocative tone in her voice. She was playing with him and she rather enjoyed it. She believed him directly on his words when he said he knew a thing or two about defending when he needed it; he certainly looked like he could. Probably way better than she could. But even she had a few tricks on her sleeve when she needed it; danger always lurked around the corner with her job surrounding her where ever she went.
From the way he nodded his head when she mentioned the nasty monkeys, she knew he had encountered them before, just like she did. Everyone that had once entered the jungle, or the borders of the wild, had probably come in contact with the well known monkeys - these things put their noses in everyone's stuff whenever you got close enough, which gave them a reputation they're probably -sadly enough- proud off. She smiled when he told her about his encounter with them, she recognized everything he told. She'd been there before when she spend her first few days in the jungle and she luckily learned from the mistakes she made that day. It was one of the reasons why she stumbled upon the place she nowadays called home - it was a place where the monkeys most certainly didn't come.
She followed the motion of his head towards a corner of the cozy living room, where a small set of dreams sat on the ground. She smiled when she saw them, returning her gaze back to him. ''They're important to you? Are you an entertainer?'' She said with a tone of excitement in her voice. She loved most of the entertainers she had met - those were always fun and loving people, enjoying other horses as their company, making them smile however they could. And most of them could sing so beautifully, something you could say she was almost jealous of. It had been so much easier if she'd taken that path, rather than the one she was taking now.
''I love meeting those out on the streets. They're always so lovely, lifting the spirits out there where people need smiles on their faces.'' She smiled at him, a content look on her face. That didn't take long though, when a very loud, rumbling sound from outside got her startled. She was already back up, half standing when she realized it had just been the thunder storm outside that had gotten a little loud. She turned her ears for a moment, but than a little hesitating turned them back forward towards him. She softly sighed to relieve the stress that so suddenly filled her body. Maybe she wasn't as off guard as she thought, and maybe her fear of thunder was less under control than she thought, or hoped.

Sven didn't make it a habit of his to pick fights though he had done a fair amount of wrestling and roughhousing when he was a colt. It hadn't been his favorite pass time then, and he couldn't really remember the last time he had had to fight anyone... except maybe to get out of a bar fight that had broken out once, but that was really just self-defense. His ears swiveled toward her as her soft tone spoke over the pattering of the rain outside. He gave her a cheeky grin in response to her flirtatious comment, enjoying the fact that she had playing along with him. It wasn't every day that he talked to anyone who flirted back, and it was hard for the young stallion not to find pleasure in it. "Well, that's a good thing. Us lovers are pretty easy to get along with from what I've heard." He jested, quirking a brow playfully. "So, Passoa, which would a lovely lady such as yourself be: a lover or a fighter?" Sven asked curiously, wondering which she would choose. Something about her struck him as a fighter; perhaps her witty and strong nature led him to believe that might be her choice, but he could also see where she might be more of a lover. After all, she hadn't turned into some sort of monster and tried to kill him or anything.
He noticed the spark of recognition and excitement in her eyes when she looked over at the instruments and back toward him, and as the question of his profession crossed her lips, he nodded and smiled. "They're very important to me actually. I'm a traveling entertainer. I sing and play my drums at parties sometimes, but mostly, I perform at the markets and temples. I can dance a bit too, but I keep that little talent for myself." Sven explained, winking playfully at her. He had only been an entertainer for a few years now, but since his first performance, it felt as though he had found what he was meant to do in life: spread joy and happiness where he could.
Sven grinned in content as Passoa spoke about the entertainers she had met. From the smile on her face, it seemed that she had enjoyed the entertainers that she had seen, and when she mentioned how they lifted people's spirits and made them smile, he couldn't help but smirk happily. If only his parents had thought that when he had told him that he wanted to become an entertainer instead of a farmer like them. They had thought he was trying to take the easy road in life, to slack off and do what he wanted. It was refreshing to know that others understood what he wanted to do through his work. Before he got the chance to talk again though, thunder outside made a loud crash, making Passoa jump out of her seat in shock. At the sight of her pinned ears and scared eyes, his expression softened, and concern drew his brows together slightly. "That's something about entertainers that some people don't understand. We aim to please and spread joy to those that need it. Is there anything I can do to make you feel better? You don't seem particularly fond of thunder." Sven said kindly, offering her a friendly smile.

"So, Passoa, which would a lovely lady such as yourself be: a lover or a fighter?" That made her think. What actually was she? She was a fighter, that was for sure. She fought her way through life and she most certainly had walked the thin line between life and death more than once. She led a dangerous life and an interesting one at that. Everyday she made sure there was no one out there that was able to take it from her, without her getting into a fight to keep it.
But on another hand she most certainly was a lover too. She was always in for a little fun and flirting, if of course it was the right horse playing advances on her. She loved flirting with stallions, making advances on them and playing hard enough to get them back. One of her weaknesses was that she was an easy lover, while at the same one was an incredibly hard one to keep. Eventually, she got up with an answer. ''Well, right now, I think I'm more of a lover, than a fighter,'' she said while she looked at him from the corners of her amber eyes, a smile adorning her small face.
The thunder, however, had brought her back to earth for a moment, had taken her out of the flow of flirting with him. She snorted softly, standing there, not really knowing what to do. All she knew was that she heard the thunder from outside much louder than she had done before and she didn't know if that was just her demons playing tricks with her, or that the thunder really had gotten louder. Her ears turned to the sounds, to the howling wind that pulled at the corners of Sven's cozy home. The storm hadn't gotten any louder, her senses had just gotten stronger.
It were his words, his warm, low voice that pulled her back to the two of them and his cozy living room, the dancing candlelights. It didn't seem to calm and sooth her as much as it had done before. The words of him as an entertainer echoed in the back of her mind, but it just wouldn't settle. It were the other words that came through much more than the others had done. "Is there anything I can do to make you feel better? You don't seem particularly fond of thunder." She looked up at him, at his friendly smile. She hesitated for a moment, but decided to take the better of the situation. Taking herself a step further, most certainly wouldn't take her a step back.
She smiled. ''I know a way,'' she softly said, a bit playful, but on the other end sincere and even a bit shy. Instead of settling back on the seat she'd taken place on a while ago, she in a light step made her way towards him. She lowered her head a little, focussing her warm, golden eyes on his green ones for a moment, before she almost shyly looked away again. She carefully climbed next to him on the couch he was sitting on, the blanket still hanging over her back and shoulders and as if she'd done it a hundred times before, she settled herself next to him, her side touching his which were warm and felt muscled. As soon as she was seated next to him, hanging slightly against him, she smiled and looked up from under her lashes towards his green eyes. She saw the candle lights dancing in them, but she also saw the details of his iris now that she was so close to him. ''I think this'll do,'' she said in a content, soft tone, as she looked away once again to the candle lights in the middle of the room.
''We could travel together one day, if you'd want. I travel a lot too, sometimes even more than is dear to me, but I really love doing so. And I little company wouldn't hurt,'' she said, looking back to him with that same content, but little playful smile on her muscle.

He watched as the gears of her mind turned, looking for the answer to his question. He had had a feeling that it was going to be a difficult one, and one that she might have to stop and think about. Waiting patiently, he turned his ears to the outside world for a moment. The gentle sound of the rain and wind of the storm were still raging outside, and if he listened close enough, the waves on the sandy beach could be heart as well. Hopefully, this storm wouldn't be absolutely devastating. It was a pain to sit around all day when it was raining outside, though at least now, he had someone to keep him company for awhile. Her voice broke through his concentration, and his green eyes returned to her with a warm grin. "There's always a time and a place to be one or the other I guess. I'm glad that you decided to be a lover when you knocked on my door, or I have a feeling I would have been in a world of trouble if you came in fighting." Sven joked, chuckling lightly as he looked at her candlelit eyes.
The concerned stallion sat on the couch with his ears turned toward the startled mare. As the thunder rolled overhead and died back down to the gentle noises of the rain and wind, he waited for Passoa to snap out of whatever it was that had grasped her. It was like she was in some sort of trance before she eventually let out a long, quiet sigh. He could see her sides rise and fall underneath the blanket that was still wrapped around her withers. It was obvious that the loud sounds of the storm had some sort of meaning to her. Maybe it was triggering some sort of memory from her past, or perhaps she had simply always been afraid of thunder or bad weather in general. That was a thing, right? Horses having memories or even nightmares linked to sounds and smells?
His thoughts and ideas about what might be going on inside of her mind were thrown off track when he glanced up to see her looking back in his direction. The soft playfulness was back in her tone, but when she spoke, Sven also noticed another underlying emotion. Sven gazed at her amber eyes that sparked in the small flames of the candles around the room while she took a step toward him before turning her eyes away from him. Was that... coyness that he saw? As she got nearer, he felt his stomach tighten slightly in suspense and wonder at what she had planned, and he caught a faint whiff of the fresh scent of pine needles as she climbed onto the couch beside him. Sven felt her smaller frame press against his side, getting herself comfortable beside his warmth. A grin pulled up the corners of his lips as he let out an inaudible sigh after realizing he had been holding his breath in anticipation. Sven glanced at her out of the corner of his eye, and if he had the ability to, the normally confident stallion would have been blushing at their closeness. "Good. I'm glad I was able to provide some comfort." Sven said as Passoa looked up at him from under her dark lashes. "Just let me know if there's anything else you need, and I'll see what I can do."
At her suggestion, Sven's ears perked up with interest. "I think I'd enjoy a chance to travel with you~ It might give us a chance to get to know each other a little more. Not to mention that the moneys might think twice about stealing two horses." He said jokingly and chuckled softly. "Traveling can be a blessing and a curse sometimes, but company might help remedy some of the more boring times walking from place to place."

She chuckled softly. ''No worries, you'll hear me when I need another thing from you,'' she said with a playful, challenging undertone in her soft voice, a dazzle dancing in her warm, golden eyes. Where she'd doubted before if this was the step she wanted to take, she was now so happy she'd decided on a yes. His body warmth warmed her up so much faster than the candle light had done and she really enjoyed the smell of coconuts that came from his fur. Not to speak of the warmth that filled her stomach by the thought of sitting so closely settled against him. The content smile didn't leave her face. Of all the houses she could've chosen, it was his door she'd stranded for. It was almost as if fate had dropped her on his porch. And for once she was content with what fate had to offer her.
Maybe it was just her, but the thunder and storm seemed to have settled back down again outside. For her it felt like his comfort had done that to her. It was something about him that soothed her, his composure and his charms, without being pushy or greedy. He was caring and he was friendly. She felt how his side softly moved from his breathing, she noticed the subtile scent of coconuts that lingered in his painted fur. Somewhere inside her it scared her that she so easily felt comfortable around her. It felt like a weakness, like a hole in her defence. She was always being the one that was leery, was distrustful, the one that kept up that mask of play, that pokerface to hide what's truly hiding under. But it was only now she realized he'd already taken off that mask without her noticing and somewhere next to that fear, there was another emotion, another piece of her that seemed to enjoy it.
She turned her gaze away, staring at the other end of the room, as his low voice stroke her slightly curled ears. ''I think those monkeys don't do a lot of thinking,'' she said with a soft giggle. It was true, though - she'd been stolen from a lot of times, and most of those times the monkeys stole things they could get really sick from. They'd usually just pick out what they could get their hands on and put it in their mouth before doing exactly that: thinking.
She smiled when he spoke on. Traveling together, that would be something. She didn't even want to think about having to tell him what exactly she had to travel for. What her daily jobs were, what she had to do day in, day out. Some days weren't that bad, but others... she didn't even want to think about what others like him would think about that. She nodded slightly when he said traveling could be a curse, that was exactly what shot through her mind, only not in the way he thought. She smiled slightly. ''Getting to know each other,'' she repeated after him and looked sideways towards him, slightly up, since he was quite a bit taller than she was. ''I didn't know I was interesting enough to get to know better,'' she said as she chuckled, leaning slightly against him. On one hand she was joking, was provoking him, while on another hand she mend what she said. Once he'd started nosing around in the mess that was called her life, he'd probably never find the end of it...

Sven grinned slyly at the challenging, sultry tone in her voice when she spoke. His green eyes glanced over in her direction, catching the sight of her golden orbs flashing with the light of the candles in front of them. It was amazing to him how much life and emotion one could see from just looking into someone's eyes, and he couldn't help but stare for a moment at her startlingly bright eyes that only seemed brighter against her dark, curly fur.
He sat in silence for a few minutes, his ears swiveling slightly at the sound of the storm outside. It was quieter now. The thunder, rain, and waves had all seemed to disappear as his mind focused on other things around him: the candle light, the feeling of having someone sitting beside him, resting against his side. It was all so foreign yet strangely he found himself relishing in every aspect of it. Sven had never really had anyone to be this close with that wasn't family. His mother and father had taught him to be restrained when it came to his encounters with the opposite sex, though those had obviously done little good to ebb his flirtatious habits. It had taught him to abstain from anything that might be against the strict, religious laws of their herd. The lifestyle of most of the Talorians was hard for him to go by at times. It was so easy to get caught up in emotions and feelings, and before you knew it, horses passing by were giving you hard glares and whispering about how Cascade would punish you for your closeness to whichever mare you were trying to woo. Sven wanted to roll his eyes just thinking about all of the times he had almost gotten into trouble for such actions. This, though, their closeness and feeling Passoa's warmth pressed against his side, made him forget about all of those rules and guidelines that his parents had tried so hard to teach him. 'Thank the goddess that no one's here to ruin this now.'
Sven chuckled and nodded his head in agreement to her words. "Yeah, they're not the smartest animals in the jungles here. They see what they want and take it without thinking about whether or not it might actually be useful to them or not." He said, shaking his head at the thought of some of the little primates' actions.
His ears turned in her direction, and Sven snorted a little at her words, giving her a look of shock before a smile spread across his muzzle. "You don't think you're interesting enough to get to know better? Well, I'll tell you a little secret of mine. It can be hard to get my attention sometimes, but I must admit that you've had my attention since you've walked through my door." Sven murmured flirtatiously, flashing her a friendly smile. He could see that she was joking slightly, trying to pry some sort of reaction out of him, but he liked playing along at times. It was like a game that he enjoyed playing, and he had found someone that he actually liked to play it with.
"So how much of Aquore have you seen? You said that you travel, so I'd imagine that you've seen the majority of it by now." He asked curiously, turning his head to look down at the little mare beside him.

She couldn't help but smile by seeing the grin on his pink muzzle. It seemed like he knew which game she was playing and happily tugged along. And even though it seemed like she exactly knew what she was doing, she actually didn't. Normally this was how she played it to get her way with stallions and normally she was the one -behind the scenes- steering the thing to how she wanted it. But this was different. She started out with playing a game she was so well known with, but now she had no idea anymore where this was heading. And the most strange fact was that she actually really enjoyed this. As long as it was still fun and games, that is. She could only hope that he was what he seemed like; one of the reasons why she normally wouldn't get so self-involved into things like this.
She enjoyed the silence that fell beneath her and him. It was not an awkward one, in which she had to search for words or conversation. It was comfortable, and soothing. The way the rain tickled against the roof of his house, the soft sound of the moving waves outside, the flickering of the candle lights. She didn't know something like this could be so nice. At home she was on her comfort, but once out of that comfortable bubble, she usually was always hidden behind her guard. But here, with him, it came near that comfortable feeling of finally catching some rest, without constantly laying with one eye open.
When the warm tone of his voice once again spoke, she glared back up to him. It was only now she realized actually how close he was, but instead of minding it, she enjoyed it. He was warm, he had this sweet scent of coconuts that lingered in his fur and he somehow seemed to give her a feeling of safety. She chuckled when he repeated her, and she could swear that her cheeks would've turned red if they had the ability to. His words were sweet, but somewhere they also frightened her. She knew exactly why she had awakened his curiosity, where he probably couldn't put his finger on why. Thinking of how he eventually would find out what she exactly was feared her. But why? Normally she didn't care. She kept it hidden when that was convenient to her and when they did found out, she usually didn't care much about it. Things happened, or they didn't, but this time she did care about how he thought of her.
''And that while your attention is so lovely,'' she said flirtatious, while she softly lifted her nose a little, coming slightly close to his, her ears pinned forward towards him. ''I must be doing something right than,'' she said with a soft giggle, taking a quick glance to the windows outside, before she returned her golden gaze to him. She looked in his lively green eyes for a few seconds, before letting her gaze wander off to the candles once again.
She smiled when he mentioned Aquore, if he only knew... ''Pretty much all of it, I think. I've seen all the shrines, the temples. I grew up in small village, not far from here, but I mostly spend my time away from the other horses. I've never been much of a socializer,'' she chuckled softly. How rare to say something like that, while she sat so closely to someone she'd met not so long ago. ''I think I've been from the very tip of Aquore, to the very end of it.'' She smiled, fixating her warm, amber eyes once again to his green ones. There was some sort of excitement to see in her eyes, probably from the subject they were talking off. She loved traveling; it somehow was a part of her. While there also lingered another emotion in her eyes; she was tired. And it was only now that it began to show, now that she was finally really get warming inside, the blanket still hanging over her shoulders, her body so close to his. She was very comfortable, and that content look was really to read from her small framed face.
''I love traveling, seeing so much of the world. I've been even out of Aquore - there's so much more to see than our water related cities and villages,'' she said, a smile decorating her dark muzzle.

The painted stallion smirked playfully at the flirtatious tone in her voice as she looked up at him with her amber eyes. She lifted her muzzle slightly, and he could feel her warm breath on his skin. Sven took a deep breath of her scent before Passoa looked away once more, taking her muzzle away from his own. Their closeness was tantalizing and comforting at the same time, and the conflict in those emotions caused a brief moment of hesitation in Sven as his mind sought to sort through them. While this game they were playing was enjoyable, he couldn't help but feel his emotions taking over slightly despite the fact that he often tried so hard to keep them at bay in times like these when he was flirting. Sven didn't know what a mare would want with him right off the bat, and he liked to keep things light and playful especially when he was first beginning to talk to someone new. It kept things less... threatening for him and made it easier for him to be open. "I'm glad you think so," Sven murmured playfully and gave her a wink as she giggled softly. She most certainly was doing something right.
Sven's ears swiveled in the mare's direction, and he listened with interest as she began answering his question, telling him about her travels across the land that their herd called home. He had had a feeling that she had seen the majority of Aquore. Most Talorians traveled to the different shrines to pray to the gods and goddesses there, and it wasn't uncommon for those travelers to visit the other cities on their way. His ears perked up a bit when she mentioned growing up in a village not far from here. How in the world had he not seen her around? As a colt, he was often getting into trouble and traveled to some of the other villages as well. "Oh really? I'm surprised we haven't run into each other somehow over the years than. When I worked on my parent's farm, I did a lot of traveling to the other villages near here to sell crops and whatnot." He explained, shrugging innocently. "I think I've seen the majority of Aquore as well especially the temples and the bigger cities. I go to places like those to perform pretty often." Sven said, glancing out the window into the dark night before returning his gaze to her face, trailing them down her curly hair. He could see a spark of excitement in her amber eyes that brought a grin to his face. It probably had something to do with the subject they had fallen on. She might have agreed that traveling was a curse sometimes, but it was obvious from the look on her face that she enjoyed it as well. "We definitely live in a really beautiful place. What's your favorite place to see here... if you can choose one that is?" Sven asked curiously, trying to think of what his favorite place in Aquore might be. There were so many great and stunning places to choose from that he wasn't even very sure if he could make up a decision like that.
Sven's olive green eyes lit up when she mentioned traveling outside of their territory. It was rare to see and meet anyone who had done such a thing since it was against the law without the Emperor's permission unless of of course you were a rouge or something of the sort, but perhaps Passoa's business had something of value to the Emperor and another territory. There was trade between their herd and others after all. "That must have been really awesome to travel out of our borders. I've only done so once or twice myself to Sedo to sing at one of the temples there. It was a lot different from here. Where'd you travel to?" He asked, grinning at the pleasant smile on her face.

She walked a very thin line between honesty and hiding. She couldn't help but feel some sort of comfort that made her wanted to be open, but it was so strange, so rare. It was almost foreign to her. When was the last time she'd been truly honest to someone? When was the last time she'd been so open that she could've called someone even close to what others called a friend? She couldn't even remember. And now she sat here thinking this was that game she was so familiar playing with, but was it, really? Or was it just some sort of serenity, some sort of comfort and closeness she longed for, a desire that had silently fought it's way up and now had her in it's grip? What else could make her so foolishly think about opening up towards him? He who she'd just met, moments ago.
It confused her. Just like a puzzle she could not complete, as if there were certain parts missing, and certain parts over complete. And the more it did confuse her, the more she just longed for her foolish mind to take over. For her feelings, her desire to take over.
Silence had taken over for a split second, until his voice snapped her out of her thoughts. There was that dreamy look in her eyes for a moment as she stared towards the candles, listening to the warm tones of his manly voice. She smiled as she looked back up at him for a second. ''I looked very differently back than. I was always dirty from tip to toe, and my fur was still a bright red tone when I was little. I didn't spend much time growing up in the village. I must convince that even back than I already had a lingering curiosity to the places I wasn't allowed to come,'' she giggled for a moment, looking away again. Oh, how she'd pestered the mares that had been given the care to take care of her. She couldn't do this and had to do that, but it always ended up the same way. She disappeared for a few days, loosing her way in the jungle or in the city and just wandered around like a homeless filly - because that was exactly what she felt like when she was little, and came back when she'd finally found her way back to the small cottage she had to call her 'home'. She was fearless, didn't think of the danger and still she hadn't learned her lesson. She'd grown wiser, but was still so restless. Still not bound to home.
She smiled when she repeated his voice in the back of her mind. Maybe I stole something from his cart, back than. But even than she didn't remember him in a colt figure. Maybe faith had kept them apart with a reason. She looked sideways, back up towards him. She observed him for a moment, her golden eyes taking in every detail of his face. His bright, green eyes that colored so well with his chestnut coat. It reminded her of the change nature made when summer changed into autumn; the warm green colors that faded over into autumn's orange color palette. His soft, pink muzzle, the one white ear that stood perked forward, keeping his blonde hairdo in place. She smiled as she pulled the gaze of her golden eyes away from him once more.
She nodded slightly when he mentioned Aquore's beauty. It definitely was a nice place to live; one of the upsides of belonging to their herd. She smiled, she could definitely choose. For one that had seen the whole place from corner to corner for hundreds of times, the choice wasn't a hard one to make. There were many beautiful places, but there was one that stood right out for her. ''Have you visited the jungles on one of your journeys? There is a place there that's just breathtaking,'' she said as she looked sideways up to him. ''I can show you another time, if you want,'' a somewhat mysterious smile lingering at the corners of her lips.
The change in his olive green eyes betrayed him and his thoughts when she mentioned traveling outside of Aquore's borders. Just when she'd spoken out those words, she knew that it might've been a mistake. Maybe it had been better to keep this first meeting light, to keep it just play and games, to not take it so far. To not kick herself into danger like that. She kept up the shades though: she smiled and nodded at his words, trying to keep away from that confusion. Maybe if she did like there was nothing to be found, he wouldn't go looking for it. ''It's really awesome out there. It's so different from here, it feels like a whole different climate.'' Keep calm there, she thought to herself. ''I've been to Sedo too, it's the complete opposite of Aquore, but on itself so beautiful too. Have you been to Aodh? I could say you could better stay away from there, but on another hand, the structures are massive and impressive,'' she said with a dazzling in her golden eyes. It was really her thing, traveling. Chit chat about that seemed to be some sort of her weakness. How could she tell him about the amazing things she'd seen, without telling him what it was that 'allowed' her to get out there? She snorted softly, a bit frustrated from her own thoughts, but she pushed it to the side. A loud roar of the thunder outside made her lift her head up quickly, her ears turning nervously for a moment. It caught her off guard, when she just thought the thunder had settled down. She snorted again, trying to calm down, while she looked sideways a bit foolishly. She felt stupid for having such a childish fear for thunder, but she just couldn't help it. When she was on her guard, hardened towards the outside and busy with whatever she was doing, she could usually ignore it, but now that she felt so comfortable it got to her.

He smiled softly at the dreamy look on Passoa's face as her amber eyes drifted toward the candles that lit the room in their soft, warm light. Her eyes were distant, probably imagining far off memories from her childhood or where she lived in a village nearby. It always amazed him how closely horses that you met lived sometimes, and you never knew anything about them until your paths crossed at random. It was like fate was keeping you apart until the perfect moment. Why or how that part of the universe worked was far beyond Sven's understanding, but he did enjoy romanticizing those aspects of life. “I’m sure I would have been able to tell a few defining features even back then. Your curled ears are pretty distinctive, and I bet all that mud really made your eyes pop.” Sven joked lightly, cracking large smile. “I was kind of a mess back then. I was always covered in dirt from working on my parent’s farm, so I probably wasn't very recognizable either.” He explained, shaking his head at the memories of his childhood: all the blood, sweat, and tears he had put into that farmland to get the crops to grow. It wasn’t exactly the brightest time in his life, but at least he had had food and a bed to sleep in at night.
A short minute of silence enveloped the two of them as their conversation waned slightly. It wasn’t an awkward silence though. It was more of a comforting, warm silence that allowed him a moment to glance over in her direction. As Sven took a sideways look in her direction though, he noticed her amber eyes focused on his face, and he quickly darted his eyes back toward the candles in the middle of the room. She was looking at him? He couldn’t say that a mare gazing at him happened very often, and the thought sent a little shiver of thrill through him, though in retrospect, this entire situation of their meeting wasn’t exactly ordinary. After a moment, he tore his green eyes away from the candles in time to see a smile pull up the corners of her delicate lips as she looked back toward the dim light that the candles were providing.
At the sound of her soft voice, Sven’s ears swiveled back in her direction as his green eyes lingered on her face. “I have visited the jungles a few times, but I tend to stick to the outskirts. I’ve seen and heard a lot of dangerous stuff going on in the Wilds.” He admitted, remembering the tales he had heard of jaguars and bandits lurking in the dark depths of the thick jungle. Despite the stories he had heard, Sven couldn’t help but grin at her offer, nodding his head. “I’d love that. I’m always up for seeing something beautiful, and if you think it's breathtaking, I'm sure it'll knock me off my hooves.” He murmured, feeling the corners of his lips lift up in a toothy smile.
Sven spent a lot of time around other horses, and he had learned time and time again when something was up, when someone was hiding something about themselves or their actions. They got this sort of tight, worried look like they were going to be found out somehow, and even though she was doing a good job at hiding it, he could see the ghost of those emotions beneath her smiling face. It brought doubt to the forefront of his mind as rationality tried to take over, but he simply pushed it back, not wanting to be thinking about what she might be trying to hide from him. Afterall, he couldn’t even say for sure that she was really hiding anything from him, and Sven certainly didn’t want anything to come between this growing friendship that he saw developing. “Sedo is definitely beautiful, a lot hotter and drier than here, but seeing the dunes and the desert was really something else.” He agreed, nodding his head slightly. His ears perked up as his brows rose in interest when Passoa mentioned Aodh. “No, I’ve never been up that way. I’ve heard a lot of stories about it though. Why would you suggest staying away? From what I’ve heard, it’s a really… interesting place. You can get away with a lot of things there that could get you into a lot of trouble here.” Sven said impishly, his eyes flashing knowingly at the thought of the bars and other suggestive places that Aodh was known for. His ears flattened slightly at the bitter sound of the thunder crashing over them, lighting the room with a flash of light before returning to its dim state. He glanced over at the mare beside him, hearing her snort in fear and frustration. A gentle smile appeared on his face as Sven leaned over slightly, pulling up her blanket a little more and gently nudging her shoulder with his muzzle in an attempt to comfort her from her fears. “It’ll be alright, Passoa. Just focus on what’s in here instead of the storm. It’ll pass soon.” Sven said softly, wishing to take away those negative feelings and thoughts that she must be feeling to be so afraid of the storm.

The pinto stallion intrigued her. When she stumbled upon his porch and knocked on his door he seemed to be just another stallion; just another one of the bunch. But he'd proven that he was completely different than most of those brutes out there. He was kind, he was friendly, he was helpful. And that when she was nothing of him. She was no friend, not family, no one he knew. He didn't know what she was, what she did or what she'd done, and he opened up his home for her. Not because he wanted to take advantage of her or wanted to get in her pants, but just because he was helpful enough to give her a warm place to stay for as long as she needed.
And it was just that... that feeling of honesty that made her feel comfortable. There was nothing he expected from her, he was just there for her and talked to her, making that cold glaze of wind and rain melt not only off of her curly pelt, but also from her inside. He dug up a part of her personality, a whole different part of herself, from which she didn't even knew it still existed. It was that exact same part of her she'd lost during her childhood, when she lost herself wandering away in between the houses, in between all the connections that were made between the other horses... lost when she wandered all alone through that thick jungle. Thinking back to it she'd probably been lucky she never ended up as a jaguar's meal.
Sadly enough it was exactly that comfort that made her feel the anxiety about the raging storm outside. She hated it; that stupid fear. It didn't matter, though, how often she told herself that it couldn't harm her, that it couldn't get to her, because when it did it did and there was nothing she herself could do about it. The flashing of the lights brought her back to her cold, foreign room she got pointed out to when she was brought in by the Cleric mare. She could still remember it as the day of yesterday; how this big stallion took her from the safety of her mother's wings, how he'd taken her the long road towards the village below Inaria, spilling more lies than words during their travel. At arrival he gave her to one of the mares living in the village, telling her to take care of her, telling her how he'd 'found' her in the wilds, abandoned. She still remembers it as the day of yesterday how she settled on cold sheets that lay spread on the floor of the small room, how she curled herself up into that empty, lonely room, how the thunder raged outside and brought fear to rage through her tiny, fragile body. She still remembers how she cried that night, how she cried herself to sleep, how she tried to forget everything that happened, how she tried to drown her fears with tears. How she hoped to never wake up to them again.
She snorted again, now even a little more louder than before, turning her curly ears against her neck for a moment. The anxiety held some sort of grip of her, kept pulling her back to the days she wanted to forget so badly. It was until his soft, pink muzzle touched her curled up pelt that she actually was back with him upon this earth. His touch made a shiver ran down her spine. She snorted once more, now softer, more relaxed, trying to relax her widened nostrils again as she looked towards him. The look in her golden eyes had changed. Pure honesty, no more hiding, the fear right up front. But also some sort of affection that lingered in there as she gazed towards his green ones, how she watched him softly pull up the blanket higher over her shoulders, how he softly talked to her. It took a while before he got to her, but when he did she smiled thankful at him. Without watching away from his eyes she brought her muzzle forward, for a second softly touching his -even though it in her world of believe it lasted so much longer than that. With some sort of content giggle she curled up closer to him until her side touched his, and than settled. A smile lingered across her face. ''You're so kind to me,'' she softly said, while she softly pushed her muzzle against he side of his face, against his cheek. She left it short enough to be just a short touch, but long enough to be able to take the scent in that came from his fur.
She softly sighed, as if she wanted to let the pressure glide from her shoulders. It somehow worked, but that wasn't entirely thanks to that sigh. It was he who'd taken her back to this cozy room of his, he who'd taken her back to reality. Her sides softly touched his with every breath she took, it was his touch that kept her here. She couldn't keep a smile from her face as she shortly looked away to the candles, but than looked back up to him. ''Well, I would say Aodh isn't particularly mend for us. I mean, if you belong to the higher end of the market, you're fine up there, but there are some dicey figures I'd rather not run into again...'' Her thoughts slipped away for a moment, but than were back to him again. She smiled. ''All though I bet I would go there again, if you would be at my side,'' there was that slightly challenging tone again, this time with a soft hint of affection.

His olive green eyes could easily see the anxiety and frustration on her face with each crash of thunder that sounded over the comfy living room. He could see the distant look in her eyes that seemed clouded with memories of the past. His brows knitted together for a moment with concern, wondering what she could be thinking of that would bring her into such a hypnotic state. ‘It must be pretty serious for her to be like this so quickly. Poor Passoa, she must have been through a lot.’ Sven thought to himself, thinking of how many horses he had met in his travels that had been plagued with memories of their pasts, memories that haunted their waking hours and made them feel as though they were alone in this world.
When he drew back slightly after lifting the blankets higher onto the little mare’s shoulders, Sven hesitated for a moment, feeling a shiver run through her before Passoa let out a quiet snort, much more relaxed than the ones before. His gaze shifted back to her amber eyes that had changed from their widened, fearful state to something much softer, something that he hadn’t really expected to see so soon: affection. Sven grinned, feeling his chest tighten as she lifted her dark muzzle and moved it closer toward his own. His heart hammered in his chest for the split second it seemed that they touched, but before he could even react, Passoa shifted away and let out a little giggle of content. Sven let out the breath that he hadn’t realized that he had been holding in a quiet sigh, settling back down as Passoa rested against him. His smile remained on his face, lingering from the unfamiliar feeling that had overwhelmed him moments ago. “You make it hard to be anything but kind to you.” Sven muttered, feeling her soft muzzle gently run across his cheek. His green eyes held her amber ones, studying every detail of them. It was like time was frozen for just a second. Everything seemed to be going in slow-motion, moving excruciatingly slow, but at the same time, the young stallion couldn't help but enjoy himself, enjoy the achy feeling in his chest, the lingering feeling of her soft fur against his own, her warm breathe over his cheek, not to mention the crisp scent of pine needles that dwelt on her pelt.
His ears perked up at the sound of her sigh again, and he felt her relax more against his side. A smile tugged at his lips that she was feeling better though worry still plagued his thoughts that they might still be lingering there and most of all that there were memories or thoughts powerful enough in Passoa’s mind that they could cripple her. No one, especially someone as fair as the mare beside him, should have to deal with something like that… not alone at least. The smile on his face wasn’t just from the thought of her feeling better, however. He also couldn’t help but grin at the feeling of the warmth jumping between them as their sides gently touched together with each breath that each of them took. It was nice having someone so close again; it made it feel like family or a close friend was with him even though he and Passoa had only met that night. Perhaps her charm was winning him over as much as his was to her. At her words, Sven pondered for a moment, recalling all he had heard of the rich herd of Aodh. Most of it were just tall tales or slavery and promiscuous mares, but he was sure that like most stories, there were some truth in them. “I could imagine where it wouldn’t exactly be a lot of fun there if you weren’t wealthy. I definitely wouldn’t want to be mistaken as one of their slaves. I’m not really into that kind of thing~” Sven joked, chuckling softly. “There are dangers everywhere though. Can’t stop them from letting you live your life. It would probably be a lot safer with company too. I think I’d like to just experience it once. Maybe I can win with over with a few songs!” The chestnut stallion said with a hearty laugh that rumbled deep in his chest.

As her slender sides touched his, she could feel the soft echo of his beating heart through his painted pelt. The strong beat calmed her, gave her something to focus on, and the more she listened to it, the more she seemed to relax and settle down against him, feeling how his body warmth slowly mingled together with hers. Without thought she could say the cold had been repelled out of her bones; out of her body. And where the shivering cold had left her, in return something had filled her from the inside. She could feel a soft fluttering against the sides of her stomach, a somehow nice, but itchy feeling. She knew the feeling - she'd felt it before. In her eyes it was a sign of affection, attraction and even desire. She was so easy, so naive for stallions and their charms. She dearly loved it though, enjoyed every second of how they could make you feel so special, and he was no change in that. She was always the first to fall for those charms, even though she knew they could have consequences. Sometimes good consequences, things to... fulfill her needs, other times it made her anxiety pop up and made her leave for a months long travel. She was not the one to bound.
Her curly ears stood perked forward, a soft look on her face, a gaze of interest in her golden eyes, that almost seem to glow against the dark fur around her eyes. She could hear the accents of the storm in the back of her mind. The raging sound of thunder, the pulling of the wind and the clashing of the waves - but it all sounded so numb now. It was Sven who definitely got her full attention now. The salty coconut scent of his fur lingered around her nose and even though she'd never really noticed the certain smell before she met him, she could now tell she really enjoyed it. All though she hasn't really got clear vision; it could well be she enjoyed it because it was the scent of his fur.
She softly snorted, a somewhat dreamy glance over her golden gaze as she watched the little dancing candle lights in the middle of the room. She listened to his voice, from which you could clearly hear he was a singer. His words were so clear to understand, had such a melodic tone to everything he said; it was just a joy to listen to. She could almost say it was a turn-on for her... but than again, maybe she was a bit biased. She smiled, knowing this was a 'there I go again', but she couldn't care less. She enjoyed being so close with him even though she'd just met him not so long ago. Relations in her eyes usually didn't last long anyways - better to enjoy it while it lasted.
She nodded at his joke, smiling towards him. That was something that went wrong more often than it did not, especially in the nicer districts of Eithne. Those Noble Lords and Ladies thinking they owned the world... and everything on it. It made her sick to the stomach and even more so knowing it reminded her of her father. She shortly turned her ears back, but than let them slide forward again. It was only now that she leaned in against him, felt his body warmth against hers, the soft and warm blanket hanging over her slender shoulders that she felt how tired she actually was. When was the last time she slept? Twenty four hours ago? Two days ago? She couldn't even puzzle out when it was, knowing she'd been traveling for over a day when she stumbled upon his porch. She softly leaned her head down, leaning in against his muscled neck, against his warm pinto pelt. She softly giggled when he joked, a hearty laugh rumbling from inside his wide chest. She laughed, a smile across her warm face, but still that dreamy, a little sleepy look in her golden eyes. She chuckled softly when he spoke on. ''Believe me, there are not many dangers out there that stop me from doing what I want,'' she said with a somewhat joking tone, but somewhere inside it hid the truth. ''Well, I've not heard you sing yet, but I believe you on your word that you can win anyone over,'' she said with a flirty undertone in her voice and a smile across her dark muzzle.

The calm, warm feeling returned to the room as the curly haired mare relaxed against him. He could feel her sides rise and fall with each breath she took and the steady beating of her heart inside of her. He could feel his own tensions and uneasiness dissipate with each breath that he took of her scent that was growing ever more familiar to him: the sharp scent of pine needles mixed with something else that he couldn’t quite place. Perhaps a flowery smell? It was a mixture he had never quite smelt before, but it was something that he found himself wanting to explore further. Sven could also feel other emotions bubbling inside of him. There was some part of him that relished in the feeling that he could give others, the happiness a compliment or even just a simply nice gesture could have, and he could see that he was doing a pretty good job at fulfilling that with Passoa. The smile on her face was a pretty good indication of that. There was something else though. It felt like a gentle burning of a flame deep in the pit of his stomach that seemed to grow stronger when she had brushed her soft muzzle against his face. It wasn’t a kiss by no means, and while he would never admit out loud, it was the closest he had ever been to one. ‘Maybe this weird feeling is just normal. Like a… desire or something for something that you probably won’t get.’ Sven pondered to himself, keeping his green eyes focused on her dark pelt, but despite that burning feeling, it was nice having someone that was so easy to talk to, someone that he could familiarize himself with. It wasn't every day that he met someone that he wanted to meet with again or even travel with.
The chestnut stallion thought about what the grand cities of Aodh must be like. He had only heard ambitious tales from young stallions much like himself about the women and things that they could do there that they could only dream about here. Slaves were something that had been mentioned briefly in those discussions, but it had stuck with him. There were servants in Talori, but they weren’t as common as they seemed to be in Aodh. Every lord and lady there seemed to have a slave with them from the stories he had heard. It didn’t really seem right to him for them to be forever enslaved by some rich noble, but he supposed every herd had their culture. After all, most of the other herds thought they were crazy for sacrificing pegasi to Cascade for good fortune. His ears flicked down toward Passoa as she rested her head against his neck. A grin spread across his face at the feeling, and he caught the happy, sleepy look on her face. Before Sven could even wonder when she had last slept, Passoa was speaking, and he chuckled softly at her joking statement, hearing a bit of truthfulness to her tone. “I don’t doubt that for a second. You seem like the kind of person who sees something that they want and pursues it no matter how hard it may be to get.” Sven murmured in a playful voice, looking down at the little mare against him. He laughed a little at her flirtatious tone, giving her a little wink that she probably couldn’t see from her current position. “Thank you~ Maybe you’ll hear it sometime soon." He said, glancing down at her before continuing, "Are you tired? I didn’t even think about how you might be pretty sleepy after walking through that storm. Perhaps I could sing you a lullaby?” Sven asked curiously, casting her a warm smile as he caught a glimpse of the smile on her face.

As she felt his warmth glow against her fur, she closed her eyes for a moment. His words made her think for a moment. He certainly was right about that, maybe even more so than he himself knew. She was the last one you wanted to pick a fight with; she was not the easy one to forget. If she couldn't get what she wanted right now, she made sure she got it somehow, even though it could take her a long while. She didn't know where that fierce, burning fire of rebellion started, but she knew she already had it when she was a little filly. She was so naive when she was little, believed every word an older individual shared with her and -even though she had the bad habit of speaking with tiny amount of words- she was always polite. Still it was that little raging fire inside of her that made her not listen to what she was told, to do just whatever she wanted. It was that same fire that made her not social towards others; or made her to not want to be social towards others. The separation with her mother only days after she was born had left it's cracks, had done it's damage. And it was still a wire into the life she led. Still gave her the feeling she didn't belong here.
She snorted softly; so soft it could've been mistaken for her breathing. She turned her ears slightly when she heard his voice again, opening her golden eyes as he did.. It felt like minutes had gone by since he last spoke, but she knew it'd only been seconds. She could feel that his gaze lay upon her, but all it did to her was bringing back that smile upon her darkened face. That was all it did on the seeable outside, while on the inside there was much more going on; but that was still a behind the scenes, that was still something she'd liked to keep to herself. For now.
She looked slightly up from her position, up to where his gaze looked down to her. She chuckled softly and slightly nodded her head. No need to lie to him, she felt a deep desire to just be honest to him. To confess to him, tell him how she actually hated the job she did. Of course she loved the traveling, she loved to see all the different places, to meet all the different kind of people. She absolutely loved the freedom it gave her; the power it gave her to do whatever the hell she wanted. But there lingered a shadow over it all, a shadow that had her in it's grip; a shadow that brought rules to the "do whatever she wanted", something that more and more strangled her, but there was no way out. He felt like a safe haven. She felt delusional.
She smiled a bit broken, thinking about how safe she felt cuddled up against him, hidden away in his cozy home, a place they'd never find her. But she knew there was no way for her to stay this way. ''I'd love to hear you sing, I bet it's a little piece of heaven,'' she said as she again settled her head back against his strong neck.
''And I like pieces of heaven - it gives space to just... forget about everything,'' she sighed while she tried to relax again, for a moment closing her golden eyes again.

He could see the smile on her dark muzzle in the dim, flickering light that the candles were providing them, and it brought a sense of joy and triumph to him. He knew that he had just met Passoa, and he didn't really know a lot about her, but for some reason, he felt a lot closer to her than a lot of other horses that he met. Maybe it had something to do with how easy it was to talk to her and how much they seemed to have in common or perhaps it was something else that was evading his mind. It made him feel a little calmer that he had let a complete stranger into his home. It wasn't normally something that he would do though Sven wasn't one to leave someone out in the rain or in need of help that he could easily provide. Of course, he couldn't say it was entirely his selfless acts that had told himself to let Passoa in. Sven was lonely. Spending so much time alone on the road, at home, and even being with his family at times and performing for an audience wasn't fulfilling enough for his need to have someone around. His green eyes gazed at her dark figure beside him as he felt their shared warmth radiating through him. A smile pulled up the corners of his mouth at her compliment. This whole situation to him had been pretty heavenly. Like something out of a fiction novel that couldn't have possibly happened in real life, but here they were nestled up together on the couch in his living room. "Well, I'm not sure if it's that great, but I'll try my best to make it as heavenly as possible~" Sven said teasingly, giving her a playful smile before averting his eyes back to the candles. He had never really sang to just one person in particular except maybe to his mother or another member of his family, and it was a little nerve-racking even for him when he was normally more calm and relaxed than he really should be in most situations. When he had cleared his throat and was ready to start, he gave her a sideways glance and a warm smile before opening him mouth to utter the first few soft notes: "Little child, be not afraid The rain pounds harsh against the glass Like an unwanted stranger There is no danger I am here tonight
Little child Be not afraid Though thunder explodes And lightning flash Illuminates your tearstained face I am here tonight
And someday you'll know That nature is so This same rain that draws you near me Falls on rivers and land And forests and sand Makes the beautiful world that you see In the morning
Little child Be not afraid The storm clouds mask your beloved moon And its candlelight beams Still keep pleasant dreams I am here tonight
Little child Be not afraid The wind makes creatures of our trees And the branches to hands They're not real, understand And I am here tonight
And someday you'll know That nature is so This same rain that draws you near me Falls on rivers and land And forest and sand Makes the beautiful world that you see In the morning
For you know, once even I Was a little child And I was afraid But a gentle someone always came To dry all my tears Trade sweet sleep the fears And to give a kiss goodnight
Well, now I am grown And these years have shown Rain's a part of how life goes But it's dark and it's late So I'll hold you and wait 'til your frightened eyes do close
And I hope that you'll know That nature is so This same rain that draws you near me Falls on rivers and land And forests and sand Makes the beautiful world that you see In the morning
Everything's fine in the morning The rain will be gone in the morning But I'll still be here in the morning" Sven sang softly and sweetly, hearing the gentle patter of the rain outside create a steady beat to the song that he wove. It was a song that his mother had often sang to him during stormy weather much like the one that they found themselves in now. It was more relaxing than he thought to sing to just one individual, like having to only find a way to make one person happy and content and, in this case, provide a little escape from the world around Passoa that seemed to be plaguing her.

As their conversation felt slowly to a comfortable silence, her mind started to ponder again. It were scarce times like these that she hated the decisions she hated in life. How she cursed herself for the fact she'd made it so hard on herself. She could've made it herself easy... when she was little she had the choice to decide on a profession. She could've become a cleric, just like the mare that had raised her, or a craftsman... She could've just waited and get married, but who would she be fooling if she'd believe that? Who would marry their son out to a filly that was a bastard, child to a father that didn't acknowledge her? A filly that'd been robbed from the Vagabonds and was just an orphan that didn't follow the etiquette that she was raised to follow. She was a lost case from the very moment her father ripped her away from her mother's safe feathers. And the further she got in the decisions the made, the more she dug herself a hole that if she kept on digging she wouldn't get out of anymore...
It was his voice snapping her, once more, back to reality. Her golden gaze traveled back to his green one. The green eyes that reminded her of the moss she traveled across when she made her way through the many forests. The moss that revealed to her that there was water close, somewhere. She smiled when she heard his words and nodded softly, letting go of a sigh she didn't know she'd been holding during the silence in between their conversation. She could feel a certain tension in his body when he felt silent again, a slight one at that, but she could feel it was there. She observed his face for a moment when he converted his eyes from her once more, glancing back to the candles. He was so calm, so relaxed and so warm and open towards her, but at the same time she wanted nothing in return. She watched the smile that ran across his pink muzzle, the glance in his green eyes from the reflection of the candles a little further in the room. She could feel a tingle in her stomach and when she did she looked away once more, following his gaze towards the candles. She was being stupid, she told herself. She normally didn't felt so wrong about feeling an attraction. Not even when it led to a night spend together in 'nother one's bed, but this felt like more than that... This felt like a crush on someone she was never bound to have. Her ears turned for a moment and she lowered her head, enjoyed the closeness she shared with him. The thought angered her, but on another hand made her feel comfortable. When she was never able to have him, she was never bound to him either and there was no need to run.
She smiled when she heard the melodious voice humming the words of a song she'd never heard before. As she listened to the words she softly leaned her head against his neck, closing her eyes once more, so she could solely focus on his song that filled the room. It took her away from here, made the inner center of her stomach itch. It was almost as if he casted some kinda spell over her, making her forget about the thunder outside while the sound of the rain landing on his roof melted together with his singing words. She could hear a sort of sentiment in his voice; a sort of hint of a memory he held close to his heart. It made it that more special and beautiful to listen to.
As he casted the last words and the silence slowly filled the room again, all she could hear was the echo of his singing. She softly pulled her head slightly back from his neck, so she could look back up at him from under her dark lashes. She smiled slightly. ''I don't mind what others say or think, but I think that's heaven. You're not by chance able to cast spells, right? Because I feel a little bedazzled,'' she said with a soft giggle.

He sang softly and sweetly, his voice ringing out into the small room as the sounds of the storm outside dwindled in their power. It felt Passoa relax against him and rest her head on his neck. The soft feeling of her fur against him settled his pounding heart slightly. At least it seemed that she was enjoying his little tune. A gentle smile pulled at the corners of his lips at the pleasant thought that the mare beside him was happy. That was the thing he loved the most about being an entertainer: bringing smiles and hope to others where there might not have been before. But this time, it felt more personal for some reason. Sven could feel the tingling feeling return to the pit of his gut again as he thought about making Passoa happy. It was as if he were fulfilling some sort of accomplishment that he hadn't even known was there while also feeling this sort of draw to be closer to her and fill whatever void might be there. It was obvious that there was something that she wasn't telling him about. Something that bothered her in some way to where even he could see it, and it wasn't like he knew her very well. He couldn't help but feel a certain closeness to her though and a desire to fix or help with whatever it was that was bothering her. This feeling was so strange and foreign to him. As a boisterous, young stallion, he was used to flirting with mares even if his herd frowned upon it, but he had never really felt any sort of connection with most of them, not like he thought he was feeling toward the horse beside him right now. Sven was sure that if their fellow herd members knew anything about this, many of them would probably be pretty upset, but the law did state to keep matters like this private, and being in his house on the beach in the middle of the night was probably the most private one could get. Plus, it wasn't like they were doing anything questionable... 'Not at the moment anyways~' Sven thought playfully to himself, trying to settle the nerves inside of him.
As his song came to a close and his voice drifted off into silence, Sven waited for what Passoa might say. Having a small crowd to perform to was one thing, but having one horse listening to him sing was surprisingly nerve-racking. He felt her head lift off of his neck slightly, and he turned his olive green eyes from the candles to her soft amber eyes as the light of the candles danced in them. The chestnut stallion chuckled softly at her words, shrugging his shoulders innocently. "Thank you, Passoa. I'm glad that you think so. As for spells, I'm not too sure about that. Maybe one of the gods blessed me with some sort of gift and forgot to tell me. I'll have to wield this power very carefully~" Sven muttered, wiggling his brows at her playfully. His ears swiveled around to listen to the faint sound of the storm outside. The thunder seemed to have dissipated quite a bit during his song, and the only noise that could be heard of the remainder of the storm was the rain drizzling outside. A smile crossed his face as he gently nudged her cheek with his muzzle, a warm feeling enveloping him as he did so. "And it seems like the storm has done its worst and is moving on. At least we don't have to worry about the pesky thunder anymore~"

Passoa | Talori | Rogue
She couldn't help but slightly giggle at his words and the wiggle of his eyebrows. She smiled, watching him from under her lashes. She didn't know if he was aware of his charms, if he was aware of how he flirted with her. It was flirting, right? She breathed through her nostrils, who widened slightly because of it. Was it the same game he was playing with her? Or was it no game at all? It still confused her, but she couldn't say she didn't like the mystery that lingered around their meeting. It felt so secret, at the darkest hour of the pitch black, stormy night. She let her gaze wander off again, staring at one of the small windows. As if no one could know what they were doing. Even if it was all still pretty virtuous.
She could understand some of the Talori herd members could care about their reputation. That was one of the reasons she'd learned not to. The Talori was so judgmental, so strict about what was and was not allowed or preferred, that everything what didn't fit in their perfect picture was to be judged. Again, that was one of the reasons she'd taken the path of the Islands; that was the reasons she'd distanced herself from them and had chosen to be a Rogue. But he was probably a different story. He was an entertainer and even though that was considerate the 'lower end of society', he was probably a proper civilian, where she pretty much was the opposite of that. She turned her ears for a moment. But it didn't matter. It al didn't matter in the safe haven his home currently was for her. She smiled, shaking the difficult thoughts off. She was too tired to keep her mind pondering.
''Carefully,'' she chuckled, repeating his words. ''Another spell and I'd be all yours,'' she said with a flirtatious, slightly challenging tone in her voice. She looked back up at him, a dreamy look on her small framed face and a playful twinkle in her golden eyes. She smiled playfully. ''I didn't know the Gods liked you so much to secretly bless you,'' she chuckled softly.
The more she gave herself to the game they were playing, the more she forgot about the world around them; and so too she forgot about the thunder. The soft background noises of the tickling rain against the roof of the house emerged in the world around them, that she was no longer aware of. The tiredness was playing a part, but he was the biggest reason why. As she closed her eyes for a moment she could feel a soft nudge against her cheek. Looking back at him she smiled, a slight hint of shyness hidden in her golden eyes as she did so. She slowly moved her head, so that the touch of his muzzle moved from her cheek to her muzzle. She could feel a tingling, a shiver, run through her muzzle, towards her neck and all over her spine until it reached her tailbone, a warm feeling filling her body from the inside as it did. She smiled at him as she softly blew air from her nostrils into his, watching him from under her long lashes. ''The storm? I wasn't even aware of the thunder anymore, something else caught my eyes,'' she softly said, so soft it could almost be a whisper. She softly nudged her dark muzzle against his for a moment, but she didn't move away for more than an inch when she moved back slightly. She didn't want to move away from him. She was pretty content at his side.
