Hajime Breim l High King "Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown."
References l Playlist l Moodboard
'Deep breaths.' Haji told herself, staring up at the gigantic crystal tree that now towered over much of the market. The festival seemed to be going well enough, and the High King was thankful her advisers had suggested it. A holiday was a welcome reprieve from all the chaos and despair the herd had suffered through over the last year and a half.
Still, the weight of it all weighed heavy on his shoulders and the young king. Though confident in his ability to lead, Haji felt incredibly ill equipped for the onslaught of never ending issues that continued to occur ever since his ascension to the throne. Not even King Jin had this much turmoil in the first years of their reign, and they were trying to restore the herd after the god's war!
Sighing heavily, Hajime turned towards the crowd once more, choosing to engage in the festivities and enjoy the day themself. They'd earned it after all. Walking towards a brightly colored stall advertising a new strain of tea, Haji smiled to themself, humming ever so quietly as they went. Word Count: 183 Post #1

Most of the morning had been a whirl of things, Ayako perfect bath, breakfast and even morning stories had gone by so quickly she almost forgot what day it was. It was festival day!. Ayako bounded down the stairs of the family home and followed her mother out onto the street. Guided by the other family members she was kept close by till they grew closer to the festivities. The further in they got the less family she had around her. Following the sights and smalls she wandered away from the small group, quickly losing sight of her mother, not that she really noticed Peering over the top of a food stall she was greeted by a lovely elderly baker who offered her a sweet pastry because of how adorable she was... atleast that's what the mare said, all little Ayako saw was free food! She smiled wide in thanks before racing off, pastry held firmly between her teeth. She ducked below adults, raced by stalls and finally came to a stop near a small tea stall... she however didn't stop how she wanted. Little Ayako crashed into the side of a dark horse, dropping her pastry and falling back on her haunches. She stared wide eyes up at the horse but before she could apologize the realization hit her... She just crashed into the King!... She was going to be in so much trouble

Claire Breim [Kawaru] - Driven
......
With a little cloak on her body she travelled through Nariah. The city was bigger than she imagined. Claire had no idea where to look at first. Her eyes shifted from one place to the other out of curiousity.
So many equines were celebrating - but she had a task at hand. Being sent here by the Arcanist to get information was a very big task. She still didn't get why she was one of the chosen to go. She was Claire! Claire-the- chatterbug. Claire-who-never-shuts-up. Claire-please-shut-up-for-once. Or maybe that was one of the reason she was chosen? Oh well she's never known.
But there she was then, in the middle of Nariah with her nekomata truffle on her head. Her little bell jingled by every step Claire took. She was as curious as her owner, so the best place to view things was from on top of her head.
Where would she get first? Maybe one of the temples? What about the Theater? But then something caught her eyes; Free. Food. With a little inside scream she trotted at her quickest pace she went to a food stall. There they sold a little broth with some vegetables and tid bits of tofu. It was simple but so good, that even tiny tears formed around her eyes. And of course she shared with Truffle, what gave some odd looks from bystanders. But she didn't care that much about that.
All that counted was that sweet free food.

Sile;Breim | Appretince ... Taking a deep breath in,Sile enjoying the air of mid-morning.Ah yes, smells like cave, rocks, lots of delicious foods, and perfumes, all this mixed into such a certain strong aroma that you can only call it..festive, and joy wich is correct. For today is a lovely day, for all the things happened in the past, the poor folk really needed it, especially the little ones.
Sile smiled watching over the festivities from a less crowded area, hoping that everyone is having a great time...dare she think a little, even the kawaru..Argus have mercy on the children who've been thrown into such chaos...oh the old and the weak.
Stop that, don't think about it, everything is alright now. She thought to herself shaking her head.Trying to push away the painful thoughts.
Only to stop and gaze at the Crystal Tree, the soft warm collors mixing together and shine into her eyes, it hurt. She blinked away so she can look again.Almost like the sun in the day she first emerged to the surface she had been sent by her master for appretince missions. Her heart warmed with joy to the memories of her adventure and a certain warden friend she gained on the way.
Oh how she wanted to have a closer look, but the folk are so many, and she was never good with the crowds.Everytime she approaches more and more her legs would all go weak and tremble from both anxiety and excitement.
...
Yet her mother allways said you only live once.
And so Sile with a last attempt of staying put, her body finally won despite her silent protests, it dragged her into the party itself.Passing through the crowd, trying to not bump her huge body into others, and dear gods not step on someone. She was stopped by one certain filly passing by her dangerously not paying much attention to her surroundings while munchin on a pastry.
Sile had to double take to makes sure..it's Ayako! one of the little siblings she meet near the tunnels durring the chaos-neverming.. But where are her parents? Sille wondered worried, following after her.

Offering a silent nod and smile in thanks to the vendor, Haji delicately picked up the tea cup filled with a lovely floral scented tea. As he lifted the cup to his lips, something crashed into the king with enough force to cause him to send the cup and it's contents flying. Now covered in tea, Haji's gaze traveled downward towards the little foal staring back up at him with a look of pure shock.
Hajime closed their eyes, maintaining their composure as they addressed the young child. "You really ought to be more careful." They said, their tone calm, but disproving. "The market is rather busy and crowded today, and such careless behavior could result in someone getting hurt." They added, bending to help the foal to their feet.
"What is your name, child? And where are you guardians? You really shouldn't be wandering the streets alone." The disapproval in Haji's voice continued to grow as they looked around the immediate area for anyone who looked as if they were meant to be watching over the child.

Ari - Uncut
"S-she's not alone!" The small colt said, rushing over to his sister's side. He had gotten distracted running errands and had forgotten to keep an eye on his little sister once again. He felt ashamed for a moment, remembering the scolding he had received last time they had gone out into the city. The memory of the spirits still turned his blood cold, but that didn't necessarily matter now. Now it was the... Ari took a moment to assess who his sister had bumped into and felt his stomach drop down below the ground.
It was the king. With a quiet gulp he tried to backtrack his words, feeling his wings flutter nervously as he did so. "I-I accidentally lost track of her while speaking with o-one of the merchants y-y-your highness." What were those words?! The colt shifted nervously, eyeing his little sister quietly before turning back to the King with a very nervous smile. He really should have known better than to start talking about books with the merchant, especially considering he needed to keep an eye on his baby sister. He had promised his parents this time that he wouldn't get them into trouble... and now this.
What would his mother think of him?

The second the King turned down to face her she knew she was in the wrong. Her ears fell flat as Hajime scolded her, a disapproving look in all three of his violet eyes. Not only that his voice was also disapproving even when she was helped up to her feet, she peered her head in shame as he continued on, asking her name and where her parents were... she was about to offer the King an answer when her brother rushed up beside her, putting himself before her to offer up apologies for losing sight of her. She flattened her ears against her head and slowly backed away, she was sure to get another time out when she got home or worse for running off... before she could turn and leave however she ran into someone else, this time however she ducked beneath their legs hiding her face in shame as tears pricked in her eyes. She sat there a moment before peering up... to her surprise it was someone she knew. Her lips peeled up in a smile and her tail wiggled backwards and forwards, Sile! Sile was here!

Sile;Breim | Appretince ... Sile's peace after the little foal rise more, worry looming over her head just thinking in what problems the little one might get into.Only to stop and literally bump into the said person she was following. She looked down upon Ayako smiling about to tell her how happy she is to finally catch up to her,but frown seeying the little child crying.
Sile looked up with a flame in her heart to fight the big meanie who dared make Ayako cry-And oh my gods its the kings himself.
Her whole fighting spirit crumbled to the grownd realising that in front of her.right now.IT WAS THE KING.Ayakos brother taking over the blame. The young mare's head dropped as low as she could both to nuzzle the filly's forehead trying to cheer her up,and to show up the respect the king so deserves.
She takes a few steps ahead making sure to shield Ayako. Her legs again trembling with fear, through she cannot let the children be punished over a simple accident.
''M-my deepest appologies your higness,i was choosen with the duty to take care of them..and i simply lost track....i beg you do not scold the children for its not their fault but mine'' The mare signed with trembling hooves,oh such shame, what might her parents think of this, the whole folk looking down on them. But its alright, the foals are well.

Haji sighed softly as the little filly was joined by not one, but two other equines, both claiming responsibility for the child. He raised an eyebrow as it seemed all three how somehow forgotten standard etiquette and protocol, with the eldest of the bunch even go so far as to tell Haji not to scold the child.
A small frown crossed their lips as they listened to the trio. Still, today was a day of celebration and the herd's morale had been at an all time low. Biting the inside of their cheek, they paused before speaking once more. "They have seen us meet." Haji said, tapping their hoof firmly on the ground twice, almost as if to remind the others of their forgotten manners, even if their greeting was more informal in nature. "No one is in any trouble, you all just ought to be more careful and aware of your surroundings so no one gets hurt. With so many Breimians out and about, it isn't safe for one so young to wander unattended." They added with a slight glance at Sile before smiling softly at the two children.
"Even so, today is cause for celebration. I'm heading to the CATcha Cat Cafe here in a moment if you would like to join me. I've heard Akemi has made some lovely surprises for today's celebration." She added, nodding encouragingly at the trio. While Haji didn't often get a chance to spend time among the common folk, she'd promised herself she'd take the opportunity the day offered her to do so.

Ari - Uncut
The young colt's wings fluttered back in surprise at the gentle voice of the King, their voice giving him little reason to believe that it wasn't by any means wrong to join them. Though he did notice the look they gave Sile. Ari felt a sudden flutter in his chest as he thought about putting his friend in trouble and glanced awkwardly at Sile, hoping that the mare understood his regret.
He really needed to be a better babysitter! He had a res-respon-respatitu... no... RESPONSIBILITY! That was the word. He had a responsibility to his sister! He flicked his ears back for a moment and turned back to the king.
"O-oh! H-how kind of you to invite us!" The colt's feet stamped in place for a moment before glancing at both of his companions, taking note of the other equine that was closer to what had become their own tiny crowd. "I only have a little bit saved up, but I'm sure a nice hot drink would be nice. Right Ayako?"
Admittedly, tea with the king was a much better way to spend ones day in comparision to dealing with angry spirits. Though Ari still felt as if he was in for a long winded talk again. He hated upsetting his parents. M-maybe the King taking them to a cafe was a good thing?
Boy, he sure hoped so.

Little Ayako's wings fluttered excitedly as the king seemed almost happy was it?, she had missed his silent scolding of manners and ettiquite and instead went straight for the mention of tea at the cat cafe. She honestly didn't know what tea was by by the gods she sure knew about the cat cafe! She was lucky enough to visit there with her family once before and that had quickly solidified her love and eagerness to offer cats of all kinds attention. Including her mother's poor Nekomata... but she was told when it was enough by the old cat so it was fine Her tail swished side to side as she lowered her head in thanks to the king, she didn't know what it meant but she knew her mother always did it so... shouldn't she??. Ayako looked up at her brother at the mention of drink and found herself eagerly nodding in agreement. A drink with her brother, best friend and with the king sounded like an excellent tea party! She princes in place in excitement, this was going to be great!

Claire Breim [Kawaru] - Driven
......
Claire had lost count how many bowls of broth she had drunk, but it was atleast three. But she could say that the owner of the stand was not happy to say the least. With an angry look of the owner she scurried of to another food stand a bit further away. It was not her fault that broth was so good, but oh well. Who cares? Not she!
At almost every stand she came by she took a little bits and pieces of food. No offense to the kawaru, but the food here was much better. She understood with the limited amount of food they had there was not much that could be done, but still. So she just took every food opportunity she had. She wish she had brought her saddlebags so she could gather some for her adopted family at home.
But in the middle of biting in a delicous pastry, her eye fell on something, no, someone. It was the king. She had never seen him before, but the endless stories of him made her blood boil.
She now remebered her mission, and it was time to do something. She, Claire, was going to spy on the king. Follow him wherever he went to maybe get some information, even the smallest piece of worthy information, so she could report back to the Arcanist.

Sile;Breim | Appretince
... The young mare could literally feel herself slowlly merge into the ground as she stayed there in front of the king trembling with her head lowest to the ground.Sile could barely handle being such large number of folk, but a lot of folk AND the king? she surelly wasn't prepeared for this.
Their greeting and the firm tap of the hoof on the grownd jolted Sile into a cold ice realisation and made her slightly crouch closer to the grownd.Oh the shame. So much time her parents have put into her education..for her to mess up like this. The mare wanted to crawl on the ground,to appologise of her impoliteness.
But she figured it would be better to keep quiet for now.
Luckilly for her the scolding they all were about to get turned into an invitation for them to acompany their highness.Sile doesn't have much to say in the name of the foals since in reality she isn't their caretaker, but complies for the sake of the children.
And who is she to decline the king's invitation.
Seeying that makes Ayako and Ari happy the mare smiles and hesitantly signs ,not sure if the royalty invited them all or just the children.
''That would be an honour, your highness''

Haji smiled softly and offered the awkward trio a small nod. "It is agreed then." They said, turning to walk towards the cafe. The streets were still crowded and incredibly busy, and Haji glanced down at the smaller foals accompanying them. "Watch your step and stay close, we down't want a repeat of earlier, now do we?" They asked gently, offering a small smile to assure the children that they weren't angry.
They quickly approached the CATcha Cat Cafe, and Haji entered the small shop, nodding a greeting to the large nekomata the king recognized as Zuzu. "Good morning." He said curtly, taking a seat on a large pile of pillows near the window. The cat let out a soft meow, purring loudly as she disappeared into the back
"Come, sit." Haji said to the others, motioning to the other pillows surrounding the large table. "How are you enjoying the day's festivities?" She ventured, wondering if the celebration was actually doing anything to raise the spirits of her people. "Have you had a chance to see the tree? It's really quite marvelous." She added with a grin.

Ari - Uncut
They walked through the streets for some time following the King closely, Ari's eyes still not entirely ready to believe what he was seeing. Mom and Dad would never believe him if he told them that the king had invited him and Ayako to tea!
Ari listened quietly to their instructions, knowing full well it'd be wiser to tread carefully and enjoy the travels without causing a fuss. Quietly, he looked back at Ayako and Sile, a questioning glance towards the city giving way to his ever present worry.
He swallowed it for the time being. There was nothing to fear about their travels. The King was trustworthy, and the place that they walked into was warm and quaint. With a smile, the colt settled himself down in a place near his sister and listened to the questions of the king. They were, by all means, an amazing equine for being so understanding... and willing to be around their people.
Ari couldn't help but feel some of his concerns dissolve when looking into her face. "It's been a nice day." He said softly, feeling awkward for talking first. "But the festivities are nice! I like seeing the city happy."

Beatrice Umare l Magi
"I am unwritten, Can't read my mind, I'm undefined"
References l Playlist l Moodboard
Tiptoeing nervously on tiny hooves, Beatrice made her way through the busy crowd. While technically old enough by Breimian standards to be out on her own thanks to an aging potion her mother had given her, she still had very little experience with the world itself, and was much more immature and unaware than others her age. Looking around at the massive crowd, the little kirin swallowed hard, feeling an almost sick feeling rise up in her stomach. It was too busy. Too loud. Too much. She wanted to flee, find a place to hide away where she could relax....but she also wanted to enjoy the celebration. Tears threaten to spill down her cheeks as her green eyes search out someplace quiet. Someplace safe. Her gaze falls on the familiar sight of a tea shop her mother had often visited with her in tow. Hesitantly she walks towards it, opening the door quietly so as not disturb anyone inside. Walking towards the corner booth that she and her mother always sat at, she spots the other patrons in the shop. two children, an unfamiliar adult, and the High King themself. Freezing slightly, Beatrice slinked into her seat, making herself comfortable as possible while trying to figure out how to proceed. Being out and about all alone like this, especially on a day like today was overwhelming at best, and Beatrice nervously tapped her fore-hooves rhythmically on the ground as she used her teke to pull her weighted cloak further around her shoulders. Claire Breim [Kawaru] - Driven
......
With her nekomata on her head and her cloack resting on her shoulders she had followed the king as close as she possibly could. Often she stopped to grab a snack from a food stall so her actions didn't suspicous to the watching eye. She after all was a kawaru citizen. The last thing she wanted was to end up in prison.
But yet here she pursued the King of Breim. Was it a smart move? She didn't yet known. All that on her mind now was to - hopefully - gain some usefull information to give to the Arcanist. Her expectations were low due to them talking to a few kids and an adult, but regardless of that, it was atleast something.
With a nervous sigh, she dropped her cloak before entering the cafe. It felt like her cloak might give some a hunch. It made her nervous to drop it even though she knew that nobody would recognize her since she had never been in Nariah before. But still she felt unsafe.
She did not know the place where the group, but it certainly caught her eye. But her eyes could not take a moment when her beloved familiar Truffle jumped down and ran away to explore the place. "Truffle!" she whispered softly. But the striped nekomata just ignored her.
With a little sigh, she looked to see if she could sit down somewhere. She wanted to sit alone - but was afraid if i might draw attention - but yet she felt awkard to sit with someone else. But then her eye spotted a place with one indiviual, someone small with a cloak one. They seemed nervous - just as she was. With a nervous walk she walked towards her, speaking softly "W-would you mind if i sit here? If not that's okay, but i'm not sure where to sit."

Akemi - Cafe Owner
The double doors at the back of the cafe swing open to reveal a rather short, striped equine as she pushes her way through, two large nekomata in tow. She mutters something soothingly to them as she approaches the tables, a small slate board and piece of chalk firmly gripped within her teke.
Stopping at the King's table first, she bows deeply. "Thank you for your patronage, your majesty." She says, looking to each of their companions, a small smile creeping onto her face. "How can I serve you today?" She asks, looking expectantly among the cafe's visitors.
The youngest of the group seemed to be staring loningly at the juice on the menu, but seemed a bit too nervous to speak up at the moment, so she jotted it down as Hajime's voice caught her attention.
"Sweet spiced tea with cream and berry tea cakes all around, my treat." They say matter of factly. "Of course your majesty." She adds with a smile and a bow before turning to address the other table.
"Well hello beautiful!" Akemi mutters to the nekomata perched on the little buckskin's head, cooing softly to her, much to the disdain of Zuzu and Mimi who have begun meowing loudly as they rub against Akemi's legs. "Oh hush you two." She mutters, turning her attention to the duo. She's mildly taken aback by the presence of the young Kirin, but she keeps her mouth shut on the matter. Instead she takes a moment to regain her composure and smiles broadly as she takes the pair's orders before rushing off to the back once more, her two nekomata shooting a dangerous glare at Claire's own as they disappear after their owner.

Sile;Breim | Appretince ... Sile sat close to the children and kept nervously quiet, not knowing of this cafe before, nor knowing what it could serve she kept going with the flow of the king, she really should go out more often.
The mare gave a quiet bow of her head as a silent gratitude to the king's kindness and hospitality.Although the place is wonderful and cozy, and the children seem to have forgotten the past incident, hopefully they didn't forgot the lesson. It'l keep Sile awake for a few nights that's for sure, yet the foals are well and that's more important.
The mare's attention slowly turned to their highness, yet quick to avert her eyes down to the table..oh, even the napkins are adorable. Yet she couldn't help her nervousness as the appretince began folding the napking trying to make a..cat! yes cat! a little gift for the kind owner of the cafe
Never has she been this close to their majesty, nor the Queen, sure the usual noble families due her mother's work, but never the royal blood themselves. Dare the mare think, they are beautiful, which is true and to be expected, she can only wonder just how pretty the Queen must be too for she never had the chance to meet her in person.
Sile's ears perk up before falling back, as she starts signing, thinking how rude of her not to answer the King's questions.
''The tree is loved by all folk,be it close or from afar, it's a beacon of light in these times and we all are grateful for it your highness''

Beatrice hummed quietly to herself, trying to capture a sense of peace as she sat in the cafe. A few moments passed when the silence was broken by a stranger's voice. "W-would you mind if i sit here? If not that's okay, but i'm not sure where to sit."Bea nodded, motioning to the other seat with her head as she began chewing the inside of her lip nervously. Strangers always made her nervous, though the shy, nervous nature of the one standing before her calmed her fears slightly. It made her feel less alone. Forcing a small smile, she greeted the mare, trying to remember her manners. Tapping the ground with her forehoof she nods her head slightly as she speaks. "They have seen us meet." She said quietly, trying to keep the quiver in her voice from showing. Before the stranger has a chance to respond, the shop keeper stopped at the table to take the pair's order, and Beatrice happily ordered a small jasmine and orange tea with an additional orange on the side. She waited quietly for the small mare who'd joined her to order and reply to her greeting, not wanting to force a conversation that wasn't welcome. Word Count: 203 Post # 2

Ayako grinned the whole way to the cat cafe, it was great to be in the company of Some and her big brother but to be in the presence of royalty made her prance high in excitement. Sitting between Ask and the king she eyed the nearest cat, her eyes sparkling as it pursed loudly and rubbed it's tail against her nose. This was the greatest day of her life!! She nuzzled the male tabby gently with the end of her nose and flicked her ears forward. He was so cute and fluffy!. She nudged her brother excitedly, expecting him to look. It was a cat! Just like mommy's! She let an excited whinny grinning wildly as another cat joined them at their table. Everyone seemed more then preoccupied with other things, not one seemed as interested in the cats as her. Her eyes out up when her juice finally arrived, straw and all! She took some long sips, almost spilling it in the process. She licked her lips as she stared at it, eyes focused solely on the glistening glass before her

Haji nodded slightly in thanks to the bright orange cat the presented her with her tea and cake, smiling broadly as the other's all received their treats as well, especially the littlest at the table. "It is good to hear you are all enjoying yourselves. I know things have not been the easiest as of late, and it is a joy to know that the festivities are bringing a bit of hope to those who need it." She said, taking a long sip of her tea, savoring it's taste and warmth. It had been too long since she'd had a chance to truly enjoy a cup of tea.
Looking up from her cup, she smiles warmly. "What plans do you have for the rest of the day?" She asked the trio, wondering about the lives of her people. The opportunity to speak so openly with them, even ones as young as the two siblings sitting across from her, was a rare treat, and she intended to take advantage to it as best she could. Perhaps, knowing her people on a more personal level would make her a better leader to them in the long run.

Claire Breim [Kawaru] - Driven
......
Her legs were shaking. Why did she decide to do this? First she thought about how she wanted to prove herself usefull so that she maybe could become a Driven someday. But now, she doubted her actions. Why oh why had it to be a busy caffe? Of course it had some advantages like how it was more difficult for anyone to spot her as long as she acted normal. But it also made her nervous. There were so many horses, but she knew none of them.
But a sigh of relief when the small kirin motioned to seat next to her, her muscles relaxed. But when the kirin said "They have seen us meet". Was it a greeting? With a bit of unsureness, she bowed her head "My name is euhmm.." Should she say her real name? Maybe it was best not too "Pamela. Nice to meet you."
Her eyes darted towards her nekomata returning after getting some cuddles from strangers in the cafe. With a swift jump on the table and on her head. "Had enough cuddles now dumby?" Claire said softly under her breath.
A small zorse came to her their table, Claire smiled towards her and of course Truffle purred when called a beautifull. "I would like a chai latte please." she smiled towards her.
She only glanced sometimes at her neighbour, her eyes staying focussed at the king. Her hope softly dimished though. They were just having a nice chat with a few kids and an adult. Doubtfull will their be any information interesting for the Arcanist

Ari - Uncut
The tea that was poured before the young colt caused his butt to wriggle a little in excitement. He wanted nothing more to enjoy the sights, and as the group began to chat, the poor shy child decided it'd be better to just quietly listen and enjoy the company of the older horses. He wasn't exactly sure what he wanted to talk about anyway.
Quietly, he took a sip of tea, glancing over at his sister to ensure that she wasn't causing too much trouble. However, he wasn't sure how much trouble she would have caused in a tea shop. There was a brief moment where he couldn't help but feel full bliss fall over him, the taste of the tea giving him reason to be lost in thought and happiness.
Then the king spoke, and the child brought himself back to the present. Hmm? Plans? Did mom have any plans? He mused quietly before turning his gaze towards the group at large. What had he missed? Were they waiting for him to speak? Worry sparked through his pelt for a moment before he finally let out a short breath, realizing that he was imagining things.
"We didn't have too many plans... we just wanted to enjoy the festival." He finally spoke, glancing towards his sister. Maybe that would be a reasonable enough answer. He could only hope.

"Why am I here..?"
A young seal bay mule with strawberry red eyes was standing just outside the Catcha cat cafe, trying to remember what his task was for the Kawaru. This was especially difficult when all he could remember was to 'blend in', the last words he heard from the Arcanist. His skinny form was standing within the crowd, trying to get a view of the day's festivities but was easily distracted by the music floating into the Briemian air. With a swish of his tail, he quickly tried to locate his journal, the only thing that he carried that at least had memories locked within it - memories he struggled to remember on his own. Pulling out the leather covered journal with his teke, he opened it and skimmed through it rather quickly. Drawings of people, places and things littered each and every page. It took him a few moments before he found the particular page he was looking for, the drawings rather recent as it showed visualisations of Nariah. After collecting what he believed as crucial, he placed his journal away from sight.
"Perhaps a nice tea will allow my brain to clear.." The mule took a deep breath before walking towards the opening of the store, from what he could see from his magnified vision was how busy the cafe seemed, but even that didn't bother him. Fel didn't even notice the High King's presence within the cafe, but that wasn't his fault. The place seemed incredibly busy, since the celebration was widespread. For the trans mule, he didn't know exactly what he was doing but he knew that maybe, making friends was a good idea for once. He just wished his mentor or maybe some friends could've joined him on this lonely venture.

Beatrice paused at Claire's lack of formality, but tried to shake it off, smiling at the mare instead. "It's nice to meet you too." She added, still a bit nervous, but slowly beginning to relax. "It's not very often that I get out like this." She admitted with a small smile. "Even being born here, most of our people are rather wary when I'm around." She added, with a hint of sadness in her voice. "Thankfully they accept me and haven't sent me away like the others." Bea continued, not thinking about how much personal information she was sharing. "What about you?" She asked curiously. "Are you from Nariah too?" She smiled shyly, waiting for the stranger to respond. As she waited, a large grey cat appeared, carrying a tray with two cups and a small dish of oranges. Using her teke, Bea lifted the tray from the cat's back to place it on the table between her and Claire. "Thank you." She said softly to the cat, rubbing it's soft cheek with the end of her tail. "I think this one's yours." She added, turning her attention back to the horse sitting across from her, gently pushing the mug of chai toward her. Bea's large ears swiveled towards the door as yet another stranger appeared, causing her to want to retreat into herself once more. Word Count: 226 Post # 3

Hajime Breim l High King "Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown."

"We didn't have too many plans... we just wanted to enjoy the festival."
Haji nodded quietly as he listened to the young foal speak. "I understand. I don't have many plans for the day myself." He said with a gentle smile. "I find festivals to be most enjoyable when I don't have a schedule attached." He added. It was nice to not have to worry about meetings or new policies for a day.
No sooner had the thought occurred to him when a stranger's voice caught him by surprise. "Your majesty." The stranger said, interrupting as Haji quietly took a long sip of his tea in the cafe. Turning to look at the speaker, Hajime took note of the stranger; a young member of the watch who was currently bowing deeply. "You are needed immediately. It's about the king..." The watcher slowly stood, his head low as Haji nodded in concerned but silent acknowledgement.
"If you'll excuse me..." Haji muttered gently to the horses he'd been sitting with as he stood to follow the Watcher. "Do you know what exactly this has to do with my father?" He asked, concerned that this could be about some rogue rumor, or news of his body being found. The Watcher just shook his head. "Kano of the Watch sent me to find you, majesty. He only said it was important and that if I found you, I should bring you to the Argan Library." Haji simply nodded, leaving a small bag of crystal shards on the table as payment. Turning to the others once more, he bowed his head slightly. "Thank you for the lovely time. I hope you all enjoy the rest of the festival." He added, offering up a small smile before walking out the door of the cafe.

Fel stood there rather awkwardly, as the bustling voices of the cafe seemed to flood his mind - but his eyes and mind were focused on one particular group. The rather skinny mule was about to take a few steps to go introduce himself when someone rushed past him, their body bumping into his. Felizio had decided to move last minute to let the equine through. Even if his memory was slower than a goldfish, it only took a few seconds to realise it was a member of the watch. He wasn't going to pull his journal now to write this down, this would be putting him into plain sight of the Umare that could be there. He'd have to try really hard to keep the thought captured within his mind.
Listening closely, he overheard discussion the high king and the watchmen were having - Fel immediately trying to keep his mind active with the new information. He couldn't forget this. He couldn't forget this. Felizio wanted to get his journal out since this overload was becoming too much for him. He believed that this information would leave him, that it would drift away like most other parts of his memory have; only having the journal to collect what was missing. Within his thoughts, he tried to keep a hold of the words he was hearing.
'High King's father. Important. Argan Library. High King's father. Important. Argan Library. High King's father. Important. Argan-' His mind continued to repeat like slowly moving machine, the cogs slowly sliding and moving to keep ahold what could be crucial information for the Kawaru; at least that what Fel believed. As he was doing that, he stepped aside this time, letting what was the High King and the watcher go through.
"Hmm." Felizio breathed through his nose, allowing his thoughts to repeat the cycle; so far so good. The strawberry eyes of the mule glanced back towards the table, specifically looking at the young magi - unsure if they were kawaru or not. With a gently lowering of his head, the mule looked up at them and smiled. He wasn't sure if his glasses were letting the glow of his stump of a horn reflect through them; and if they were, he'd apologise over formalities.
"Hello." Was all he managed to get out over the voices of the Cafe.

The filly snorted softly, her tail twitching nervously as the stranger moved further into the cafe, watching him warily as he seemed unable to make up his mind about what he wanted to do. Her large ears swiveled forward as he finally spoke - a strained "Hello" being all he could manage. Beatrice bit the inside of her cheek, her fangs puncturing the soft tissue as she fought with herself. She wanted to ignore the second stranger, and just focus on the current one who called herself Claire... But her mother had always told her that manners and formality were among the most important aspects of Breimian life, and she didn't want to appear any less Breimian than she already did. Rising slowly from her seat, she dipped her head, sharply tapping her cloven hoof on the ground twice in quick succession. "They have seen us meet." She said quietly, nodding to the stallion. "Would you like to come sit with us...?" She asked, hoping the answer would be no, but knowing in her heart that likely wouldn't be the case. Word Count: 180 Post # 4
