Casius;Breim | Priest Kindness trumps all, except when it doesn't Breathing in deep, Casius felt a foal’s giddy as he took in the smells and basked in the atmosphere of such an excitable day. It was truly a wonderful day to be out and celebrating in the Diamond. The vendors had all put their most delectable delicacies forward and the makers, their most eye catching wares making their tables entirely irresistible to the passing eye. Emotions were finally stable after the Arcane energy was harnessed once more and the Breimien equines could feel at peace once more.
Since three months had past and Casius’ heart was enlightened by his dear God’s visit, the Priest felt he was finally excelling at giving words of guidance and peace to those who spent their time within his shrine. Admittedly it had been awhile since he had let himself have a day of even slight selfish intentions, so here he was, just mingling with the crowd as a friend and finding it difficult to choose where he would select his first goodies from.
The arcane smoke that now adorned his body, thanks to Argus’ generosity, curled gently and wisped toward Alya’s sky beyond the cave walls as his curiosity piqued at all of the unique creations before him. He pondered over purchasing two ornate bells. One each for his dear Nekomatas who had thankfully decided to stay back at Argus’ Largest Shrine that day. He thought it would comfort his patrons to know the Nekomatas who were bonded to the Priest but more so he hoped it would help alert him to the mischievous going ons between the two frisky felines. It was here at a dainty bell and jewel stand that Casius spent far too much of his time that morning.

Midori King's Guide (Harbinger) | Vagabond
"Half gods are worshiped in wine and flowers. Real gods require blood." They hated loud noises, mainly conversations that clouded her mind.
They despised growing crowds, one's she couldn't quite stretch her wings out in.
They hadn't really enjoyed things like this after mother's passing, and certainly not after father's.
But it was best to fake it till you make it, or so they like to say.
Even if peace was supposed to be a thing they were supposed to be feeling, Midori finds it rather hard to grasp on to at the moment. Peace is not something they feel they can afford at the moment. But she can at least fake a peaceful smile, can she not?
So that's what she does, lips turning up into a soft smile. Perhaps she'll go and eye a few new pipes, her teeth ringing into the one she had kept from her father. And, if she wasn't mistaken, her senses are picking up on something that smells a lot like sweets mother used to make.
Midori finds herself pausing in her movements, wings pulling in close to her sides, burn itching. Has she mentions how much she hates crowds? She has? Well, in that case, she'll say it all over again. The only comfort in the moment seems to be the thin cloud of fog that twists and turns around her hooves, the Gytrash she had befriended the only thing she finds comfort in, at the moment.
Her eyes and ears so to speak.
Smoke billows out from her nostrils, burning slightly as she inhales another deep breath. She supposes she should be grateful for the return of the power, and that something normal has been returned to her. But how long till it's taken again?
The Harbinger simply could not afford a silver of relaxation or peace. If it was not one thing than it would be the next.

Kano Guard of Breim
The street was in full swing. An atmosphere filled with joy and happiness. A time for celebration, after all, Briem was back in order. The crystal tree bringing back power and stability to the herd. So why, when everything is as it should, was Kano restless and had a pang of sadness settling at the bottom of his stomach? Possibly it was because Nickola had stopped sending replies to the multiple letters he sent after his return from the tunnels. It left him worried, but deep down he knew it was probably that the mare was ending their relationship. Though it was the case that the celebration only reminded him of the cost of restoring Briem's power - Shigure. The monster crystalizing the healer before Kano's eyes when the group ran into the beast in the tunnels. The guard rolled his shoulders back as Kano straightened his posture. A small smile plastered on his face as he watched the festivities go by. His hooves stepping backward quickly as a small group of fillies and colts darted by, chortling to each other excitedly as they rushed to their next destination. His purple eyes softening as he watched them go, bringing a brief fluttering of happiness to his chest, how he wished to be running with them - though he was on duty, not the time or place for such shenanigans. 'Next time,' He promised himself as he brought his attention back to the overall view of the particular street.

Arya | Master
No.
No, no, no no, a million times no.
There was absolutely no way she was going to leave her compound. So why was it that she found herself feeling immense guilt for choosing not to attend the celebration? The frazzled Master had barely had the nerve to leave her compound outside of work duties since her expedition into the tunnels. Waves of nausea and panic would grip her throat tight and leave her trembling at the thought of what lay within the tunnels they had dared to explore. And Shigure… The poor healer who'd paid the heaviest toll. He was a main character, alongside the monster naturally, within recurring nightmares. How they'd all failed to help him.
With all these thoughts tumbling and muddling through her mind, Arya found herself securing her cloak around her shoulders, and securing her mane in a bun. Before she could change her mind, or let the fear flood her limbs, the mare marched out of her house, and quickly enough, her compound.
The streets were filled with celebrating attendees, admiring shop trinkets and enjoying each others company. Perhaps it wouldn't be so bad to be here, just for today.
The warmth of a furry pelt brushed against her side, and she had to force herself not to groan. Of course her kitsune followed her. The bloody beast was normally a thorn in her side, and lately, the infernal canid could've been considered her shadow for how often it left her presence. Though she had to admit, he had a knack for being there precisely when she was about to have panic attack, and somehow managed to snap her out of them. Arya may consider her kitsune to be a major pain in the ass, but she was beginning to realize just how much she relied on his presence, and -deep down- actually enjoyed his chaotic energy.
With her kitsune at her side, the pair made their way around a few of the shops, tension beginning to ease from Arya's shoulders with each shop they explored.

Daigorou Calm after the calamity was always a nice thought, but rarely ever realized. Books spewed that tale time after time, but reality had a habit of ignoring fiction. The professor stretched subtly. Crowds weren't his favorite, but he didn't know anyone who truly enjoyed them anyway. Still, he would manage. The grullo had promised to visit his life long friend every day he was wrongfully imprisoned. Arges didn't get to share in the splendor this festival brought, so Daigo fought to find something he could bring his friend.
A smell was mocking the stallion- so near by smell, but sight long gone. Daigo took stance near a guard, a young, red one at that. He nodded and tapped his foot, mouthing some semblance of "they have seen us meet" through the crowd's bustle. The elder stallion then looked up, spotting a few winged creatures, whether familiar or beast, he did not know. None the less, they would be able to weave through the crowd far better than he could, and so he called on them for their help.
A faint glow- much like that of teke- began to fall from Daigo's eyes as he used the blessing of The Sight. He bonded with a humble crow, it seemed. The bird easily wove between the festivities to find their target: Dorayaki, the little criminal. Daigo returned the beast's mind to it's body as well as his own. The world was so quiet in the sky and the stallion came to appearing overwhelmed. He breathed deeply and made his way to the small baker's stand just a few meters north.
The stallion nabbed a few of the confections, nibbling on one as he made his other selections. Daigo made sure to get more than he needed so as to share them with any he saw fit. Still, he looked for something to give Arges strength. Daigorou scanned the stands for something to bring his friend peace. Those faces that knew him met and conversed for a short while, but for the most part Daigo walked alone.

SAKURA High Queen of Breim For once since her marriage to the King, Sakura felt peace. Or so she told herself. She yearned for peace, the need for calm tugging at her heartstrings, and yet something… something she couldn’t quite place pulled back, despite the arcane energy being restored. Her emotions had tempered and thoughts chilled. At first, she had regretted imprisoning Arges and Yozora both and had publicly declared Shigure’s premature death as a tragedy. A necessity, though. Perhaps not in finding the crystal-producing beast itself, but in showcasing its powers and being the first group of equines to have located it. What if the Kawaru found the creature before them? She had bit the inside of her cheek at the thought. Today was for celebrating and celebrate she intended to do. It was these events that made her hopeful again, able to enjoy making her required presence. Her polished hooves carried her from the tree, which emitted a faint blue glow over the marketplace. Glowing gemstones of all colors added to the ambiance and bathed the joyful citizens in rainbow. Fears of fire and earth quaking were subdued with the help of opium on recommendation from her personal healer. She couldn’t have been more grateful for his help in the situation. Rounding the corner, accompanied by a guard, Sakura noticed Casius browsing a stand. The purple incense rolling off his back was hard to ignore. His shrine was the one she held most events at in an attempt to bring the community together, and she found his company to be pleasant when she attended for her own prayer sessions. Two sharp clicks against the cobblestone ground. “They have seen us meet, Casius,” she greeted, offering the stallion a polite bow, and then bowing at the market vendor. “I’m glad you’ve come out to enjoy the festivities.”

A Stranger One, two, three, four, five. Stop, look, take a slow breath. Ignore the pain, ignore the hunger, ignore the intrusive thoughts. Tell yourself what you are doing, they thought endlessly to themselves. As they took a step forward, they failed to look and found themselves bumping into a stranger. “I..” they failed with words, shook their head and left it at that. Watching as the other equine walk off. So turn, look, deep breath. Now step, step, step. Eyes glanced around, as if waiting for something, or possibly someone. Lip chew, bite bite bite, Pain! Stop, breath look around. They mouthed the words as they repeated it within their mind, not letting much noise escape from them, besides the ragged breath. Tuck the cloak closer, teke, reach pulling the hood farther down on their head.
Don't let them see, remember! Remember? Remember what? What was it? No, no time. One, two, three, four five. Stop, look, take a slow breath. Yet it was hard when each breath seemed ragged and hard, and when their stomach growled for food, but they knew how to survive with little, right? Remember, remember, remember? They shook their head as they tread slowly among the stalls, never truly stopping to look at something, but perhaps looking for something else entirely.

Iyasu
It had taken some time to get Iyasu out of his home, consisting of a series of mental gymnastics to get past his paranoia and packing way more medicine in his saddlebags than was necessary in order to feel prepared and comfortable, but walking among the stalls, seeing the various goods for sale and the smiles on the faces of his fellow equine, Iyasu felt a bit better about making the decision to come out. It was reminding him that there can be light in the darkness. When he glanced at one of the stalls selling pieces of the old power crystal, however, he could not help the twinge of guilt that settled in his heart as he remembered the cost for these celebrations.
Shigure being turned to crystal still haunted him now. Just like the cave in. Just like Torrine. It may have dulled, changed in how it affected him, but the effect was still there. Still nipped at his heels and fed his doubts some days. He quickly turned to wander in the crowd, blinking back tears, before finding a small corner to tuck himself into. He needed to calm down. Iyasu took a few deep breaths before searching for the new warmth inside him and sighed as he quickly connected to the changed part of him, making sure to not draw the power out but just draw comfort. He had to remember that he had been blessed because of everything that had happened. Had learned how real the gods were. Good could come from bad, he just had to try and learn that. No matter how difficult a lesson it may be.
“Come now.” Iyasu murmured, giving himself a little shake. “This is a time to enjoy, not lament.” He took one last deep breath. Then he stepped into the flow of the crowd once more. Perhaps it was time to find someone he knew, or maybe even find someone new.

Hayate Former Master of Calligraphy ......
Hayate wasn't entirely sure about joining the celebration, but his family had kindly insisted, grandmother Suzume reminding him that hiding in a dark hole would do him no good. They'd all set out together, his elderly parents Yua and Kenshi and of course old, wrinkled granny Suzume, surprisingly springy this fine day. At least mentally, physically she was stiff as ever, shuffling along at a pace that made Hayate wonder if they'd experience any of the celebrating at all. Of course they did, at a snails pace, until grandma ran into old friends and announced she'd be sitting with them and would see everyone at home. Yua and Kenshi had plans of their own, and Hayate assured them several times that he would be fine on his own.
He breathed a sigh of relief when finally his overbearing parents were gone. Of course he understood them, he had barely survived the cave in, lost his horn and has his hind legs replaced with bronzed prosthetic. Grandma Suzume announced time and time again how handsome they made him look, which began to grate on his nerves. They all treated him like a porcelain doll. Yes, his blindness was an immense hindrance and his walk stiff and sometimes rather uncoordinated, but he was getting better. He was healing. He was a bloody grown stallion, not a wailing foal.
A few clicks of his Sonic Voice's echolocation told him he was in the clear to move, and he used his polished cane to slowly sweep the ground before him, feeling for obstacles, when he tired of the echolocation. Still be managed to collide with another warm body, making him apologize profusely while he felt the burn of embarrassment sting his cheeks.

Casius;Breim | Priest Kindness trumps all, except when it doesn't The Priest was deep in thought about his decisions when he heard hoof clicks against the ground accompanied by a familiar voice. He turned his head and dipped his head in greeting with the same clicks upon the ground, "They have seen us meet." It was always pleasant to see the young High Queen out and about. "Likewise for you, my Queen. The people will also be glad you're here amongst them too." As he said so and his attention was brought back to the festivities and instantly he noticed the people smiling towards Sakura, seeing them visibly relax knowing those they looked to for protection of the herd also felt invigorated by the recent positive changes, certainly enough to enjoy the festivities too. "Have you found anything of interest so far today? Personally I'm just deciding on some ornate bells."
It was while making polite conversation with Sakura that Casius noticed an odd figure stumbling through the crowd, just for a fleeting second, then a large figure bumped into him distracting him from the strange figure. "It's alright, you're absolutely fine! There's so many bodies to manoeuvre past." He took that moment to actually look at who had bumped into him, "Oh Hayate! Are you okay?" He was vaguely aware of the stallion from time in the Shrine and through the typical gossip that streamed through Nariah's systems. He had some sympathy for the unicorn knowing he had to give up his position as a Master due to losing his vision. "Take a moment and stand with us, the Queen and I are just catching up on the herd's events since the Crystal was restored."

G H I S A Y EFEMALE | THE WATCH | BREIM | UMARE
As with most celebrations, the Watch was on high alert. The citizens of Nariah seemed to have settled back into their rhythms, but the Watch remained ever vigilant. Many new recruits had joined over the last few months, heightening Ghisaye’s work load, but she enjoyed showing the newbies the ropes. There were many that showed promise and if they were trained correctly, then Nariah would be safer for it in the future.
Massive hooves carries her through the inner streets of the city, eyes and ears remaining ever vigilant as she traversed the beautiful corridors and pathways.
The city felt like a living organism with the festive heartbeat the pumped through it. There were many beautiful trinkets and collectibles on display, but Ghisaye didn’t allow it to distract her from her task.
A group of familiar faces up ahead caught her attention and Ghisaye trotted over to them. Casius and the High Queen herself, Sakura. Another odd one joined them. Ghisaye dipped her head, lowering into a respectful bow before the Queen. “My Queen, it pleases me to see you in good health.” Ghisaye raised from her bow then turned to Casius. “They have seen us meet, Casius.”

Midori King's Guide (Harbinger) | Vagabond
"Half gods are worshiped in wine and flowers. Real gods require blood." The cloud of thick fog moves in time with her steps, shifting and twirling around their ankles as if it is all but another extension of her.
Spying the Queen--of all people--among the crowd, the Harbinger in disguise composes herself quickly. Best to make oneself known when in the presence of Royalty. It'll be all in her favor in the end, after all.
Closing the ground between herself and the growing group quickly, she looks among them all, one dead eye lingering on the Master a little longer than it should have. Poor dear. If she said she didn't understand what that felt like, she would be lying.
"My Queen," she mumbles, dipping her head ever so slight, small streams of smoke fluttering from her mouth as she speaks. Her gaze turns to the rest lingering around the Queen, she recognizes the vast majority of them, but can't quite put a name to the face--not yet at least. "Lovely to see you. As well as the rest of you."
The fog has long since disappeared from her, melting away into the bustling crowd in search of something. Anything that might need to be reported back to Midori.
Her head tilts a little over towards Hayate, keeping her words soft and gentle. "Do let me know if you need help, darling." She mumbles, a light and airy tone about her voice. "'m blind myself."
Maybe not totally, but she supposed it was enough to offer some sympathy towards them.
Their one good eye ghosts over a sickly clear color, tapping into whatever Seijun had been looking at, their Sight reaching out to their bonded companion. Her bottom lip curls down a little. What an odd equine, she muses, but thinks nothing else of it at the moment.
Returning back to herself, Midori straightens herself up and listens to the conversation at hand with a keen ear. Perhaps listening and waiting for any information to be tucked into the memory vault and to be used at a later date.
All in good fun.

Hayate Former Master of Calligraphy ......
The old Master was hit with immediate waves of regret when the body he had bumped into identified itself. He was rattled by the question, replying with a swift: "Yes, yes of course, " before slipping into a deep bow, finding that the Queen was present. It was a difficult move to execute, extending one leg and bowing down deep, so he struggled some to get back to all fours. While his replacement hind legs were brilliantly constructed, they still weren't as trustworthy. "They have seen us, " Hayate mumbled soon after, worrying terribly that he might have breached protocol simply because he couldn't see and react as others.
Being joined by more helped him to relax and remove the imagined spot light from his person. Hayate smiled softly and dipped his head toward each new voice, before returning his dead eyes to Casius. "Thank you. I could use a moment of rest, hah, " he replied softly, truly grateful for the opportunity to just... stand and not worry about hitting anyone else. Before his good eye gave out, all was well. He was writing, painting and tutoring. Now... well he still had his store which the family helped run, but he still felt oddly... drifting.
One of the newcomers leaned closer and spoke to him, drawing a hearty chuckle from his chest. "Really? Two blind equines set upon the festivities is better than one? " he said with a gentle laughter, having no clue that she still held one good eye. "Forgive me, what is your name? " he asked his fellow blind equine.
To the rest he said: "Are the celebrations truly as wonderful as they sound and smell? I hear joy and laughter all around, and the smell of sweets and wonderful food tickles my nose. "

SAKURA High Queen of Breim
A pleasant smile grew on Sakura’s face, her head dipping in response to Casius. “I can only hope as much,” she replied, head turning to look at the passersby. There was no need for her sixth sense to recognize the tension dissipating amongst those that saw her. Surely, if the Queen was roaming the cobblestone streets, that meant all was well? Several equines greeted her, immediately excusing themselves, while some simply bowed their heads in acknowledgement of their Queen. The guards that accompanied her moved to flank her, concerned about the rumors of Kawaru activity, unphased by the lightened moods of the crowd. The Queen disregarded their movement as if they weren’t there in the first place. Instead, her attention focused back onto the Priest. “Oh, bells would be a beautiful addition!” she commented, her own demeanor calming at the discussion of shopping and fashion. A guilty pleasure of hers if there was ever one. “Our gracious King has recently gifted me a set of jewelry. I was hoping to find some gemstones to adorn them with. Maybe even pieces of our beloved crystal.” Before she could continue, a familiar unicorn accidentally stumbled from the throng of bodies and right into Casius’s side. Both eyes blind, horn destroyed, and back legs replaced with metal replicas, but it was still her dear mentor, Hayate, attempting with all his might to perform a perfect bow. Had she known he would have attempted it, she would had stopped him, but now she could only admire his dedication to the pleasantries. “You humble me, Master.” Guilt and shock rippled through her like a stone thrown into a still pond. Weather by fire or earthquake, her old calligraphy mentor had been damaged. She had heard the news in months past, but until now had she laid eyes on the stallion. He had done nothing to deserve this. None of the victims had. Ghisaye’s arrival helped to steady the Queen, bringing her back to the present. She was a formidable Watch, more adept than most at protecting and serving the herd. For that, Sakura respected her, despite their previous encounter’s soured events. Blame couldn’t be placed on the giant mare herself, nor on anybody. The Crystal’s destruction grappled at the hearts and minds of them all underground, toying with their logic and emotions both. She could only hope the new tree would not sink ill roots into the ground. Before she could acknowledge Ghisaye, Sakura could feel a wave of… confusion? pain? fear? radiating from someone in the crowd. Her guards did not alert her to any danger, and she couldn’t pinpoint the source of the emotion, either. Best to ignore it, then. This was a day of celebration, after all! Posture was straightened, wings shuffled and neatly pressed back to her sides as Midori approached. “I’m glad to see you all, truly,” she said, her smile widening into a grin. With ears perked, she heard Hayate’s question. “Master, allow me. This is Midori, one of the King’s Guides. She is a great aid to us, especially myself!” Her head tilted toward Midori. “Midori, this is Hayate, a Master of calligraphy. He has retired, but his skill is unmatched.” Pride emanated from her. “They have seen us all meet!” Her voice confident, uplifting. While the unicorn spoke about treats and joy, Sakura swished her tail, signaling for her guards to leave. One craned his head down, puzzled as to why she would dismiss them in such a public space. “Go, enjoy the festivities! I have survived worse than claustrophobia,” a pause for a small giggle, “and should anything happen, I fully believe dear Ghisaye can protect me.” There was no arguing from the guards, and both quietly said their farewells to the group and departed.

A Stranger A faint sway in their steps was seen as the moved onward, after bumping into the stranger, they tried their best to avoid others. Eyes looked out from their hooded cloak, eyeing something before shaking their head as if it was unwise. They stepped back and seemed to pause in the middle of the crowd, allowing all to bump into them, for a moment seemed to be frozen in time, before a hind leg rose to scratch their side, but legs were unsteady, they wobbled. Hoof scratched regardless of the unsteady manner they were in, but they let out a sudden hiss.
Hoof stomped down as they regained their balance, and soon the odd spectacle was other and the equine moved towards a stall picked up some food and suddenly seemed to walk off. That was before someone cried out “Hey you have to pay for that!” The owner of the stall snorted angrily muttering something under her breath. Yet the cloaked figure did not stop as they moved forwards on unsteady steps eating the stolen goods hissing each time someone bumped into them.

Casius;Breim | Priest Kindness trumps all, except when it doesn't The Priest smiled and nodded his head as Ghiyase joined there group. He looked to Sakura and could see the pride in her eyes as she acknowledged the young Watch member and it brought a smile to his face. The next equine that joined their side he wasn't as familiar with, he knew the name, Midori, but didn't think he had personally met them, but he could feel their intensity towards the Queen so simply smiled and nodded as she acknowledged the rest of the group.
Casius felt great joy as the group began to grow around himself and the Queen. He beamed a great smile as Hayate asked about the details of the festivities. "They are truly wonderful, Hayate. It has been a long time since I've seen Nariah filled with such joy from so many equines." He looked off to the distance to let himself bathe in the joy that was filling the caves of The Diamond. He was feeling confident about the future and he noted a few spirits that walked among them and even they seemed peaceful.
An idea came to Casius' mind, he wanted to get treats for the group, so he dipped his head "If you'll excuse me, I'll be back in just a moment." He turned away and began taking a look at stalls of treats and sweet pastries, deciding what he wanted to get for everyone when an ominous feeling nudged his side. Looking over he noticed the cloaked figure from before, but called out when they took goods from the stall and walked away. Having a feeling there was more to this equine than just a thief, Casius tossed a shard at the vendor before taking off after the strange figure. He noticed their immense discomfort as others bumped into them and looked back to the Queen and others giving a shrug of uncertainty before trotting to catch up with them. "Excuse me!" He called out just before reaching them, trying to hide a gasp as he got a look at their face.

Arya | Master
Maybe with at least her kitsune by her side, she would slowly get back into public more often. Feeling a little bit more like herself today, Arya- cautiously optimistic- made her way through the stalls. Stopping at a couple stalls, Arya purchased a new collar for her kitsune, and a few stalls down, a new sleek, and demure hair stick for herself. Her beasty let out a couple excited yips, and the Master realized he was looking at one of the food booths. Argus help them all if they had a cranky and hungry kitsune in their midst. She could also go for a small nibble herself. Laying down a few shards, she picked out a couple small treats for the pair of them, tossing her kitsune his portion, before continuing on her way.
Noticing what appeared to be Hayate, one of her dear friends, she started making her way towards him. It'd been a fair while since they'd visited, what with her self inflicted quarantine. With a leisurely gait, Arya prepared to greet her friend, and those who were with him when a strange hissing sound started behind her. Normally she'd pay the sound little head, knowing sometimes her kitsune liked to pull pranks on her, but her coat prickled uneasily, not a feeling she usually got when dealing with mostly harmless pranks.
Excuse me!
A voice she recognized belonging to Casius sounded from further behind her, and she turned, momentarily forgetting the hissing noise. A smile on her face as she was about to greet Casius turned into a confused mask as she took in the sight of who she realized was causing the hissing sound. They seemed strangely unsteady on their hooves.
"Wha- ... Are you okay?" her voice was even and prim, but not fully hiding the concern she now felt.

Kano Guard of Breim
The guard continue to watch over the ever changing crowd. His eyes recognizing a few fellow equines. He gave a few clicks of his hoof, along with a small bow, muttering the words "they have seen us meet" to those that were close enough from his post. Some returned the greeting continuing on their way, some exchanged a brief words, while others just continued walking - too wrapped up in the festivities. He spirits seemed to be lifted as the festivities continued.
His attention shifted when he saw the Queen enter the particular street, his eyes lighting up. Despite being in the Watch, he had only saw Sakura from afar. She appeared very regal and kind. Possibly, someone he would like to get know as a friend. A slim chance, but still a chance nonetheless. This could be it. He took a tentative step forward, only to stop - Ghisaye beat him to it. He let out a small snort, turning his head to the side briefly. He moved another hoof forward, still planning on heading over.
However, something else caught his attention. A hooded figure shuffling through the crowd. They seemed so out of place in this happy crowd. His hooves changed direction, slowly following the figure at a reasonable distance. The stranger stopped at a food stand, seemingly to grab food before just taking off - no intentions of paying the owner of the stand. He quickened his pace, trailing the Priest that followed the stranger as well.

Midori King's Guide (Harbinger) | Vagabond
"Half gods are worshiped in wine and flowers. Real gods require blood." As the Queen introduces her, the Harbinger finds herself dipping her head slightly. That saved some trouble for her at least. "You do flatter me, my dear."
The fog is back around her legs, shifting a little more aggressively around her as if screaming a warning to her. Midori looks down momentarily, watching as the fog shifts into the vague form of a dog, red eyes tossing a look in the direction of the commotion before disappearing back into nothingness; the Gytrash lurking back into the crowd, to be Midori eyes. The sight of Seijun fully forming in a crowd was enough to surprise Midori, and it only serve to make her levels of worry increase, it wasn't often she would expose herself like that.
"What's going on over there?" She calls, keeping her position next to the Queen and Hayate as she watches. There's a surge of uncertainty that courses through her veins. Seijun had tried to show her, and she hadn't listened to or heeded the sight of the straight equine. Hopefully things wouldn't turn too sour. "Is everyone alright over there?"
She dares to take a few steps forward in that direction, not fully willing to leave the completely blind Master alone just yet. As she watches, her muscles tense up underneath her skin. Did they just hiss? What in Digend's name? As if sensing her companion's distress, Seijun returns, taking point in between Midori's legs--fully formed and standing guard just in case.
"Do tell me everyone is alright over there." She calls, hoping that today could continue on without a hitch and that... That hissing equine wouldn't cause too much trouble.

Daigo | 2
The stallion stood a few shops down, looking over the crowd. There were many out and about today, seemingly much happier than they had been in the past months. A Shrouded figure came towards him, with a priest clad in smoke following. Another stopped the stranger- did they just hiss? what childish behavior. The professor decided to lend whatever help he could. As Daigo took position next to Arya, he took in this strange horse in front of him. Clad in a cloak, munching on treats from deeper in the market, identity hidden deeply from all. The aura around him was not pleasant, but rather confusing. Daigo looked up to see others watching and coming to join them. "Are you alright, young one? You seem a bit confused." Daigo asked, trying to look them in the eye. The energy is equine gave off was unsettling. Swaying and buzzing, out of touch with the world they were set in. The others around the stranger seemed apprehensive. Daigo looked to the treats the stranger was holding, ruthlessly eaten, 'You know, treats such as these are best savored, not devoured..." Daigo said, buying time to examine the situation. 197

Hayate Former Master of Calligraphy ......
Hayate felt... happy, he realized, real happiness and not the hazy echo he'd taken on since everything went wrong. He heard pride in Sakura's voice as she introduced him, and that in turn made his chest swell and his cheeks darken a little. In order to shake the mild embarrassment he turned his face towards Midori, one large ear pinned at her while the other flicked and twisted this way and that.
"It is a pleasure to meet you, Midori, " he said with a slight dip of his head, and made a mental note to thank his family when they met up again. The decision to go out had been the right one indeed. "I am very glad to hear so many familiar voices, " he said just before Cassius excused himself. When a little while after Midori called out, Hayate began to sense that energy of the market was changing. There was an odd sound he would have dismissed as being a possible familiar, if not for so many voices suddenly speaking up, questioning and showing concern for.. someone, something? His brow furrowed lightly.
"Is everything alright? There's a change in the energy, " he said, head turned towards Sakura. Midori's voice and energy changed especially, suggesting to him that things weren't quite right and with all that had happened in the past, he couldn't help but feel a pang of worry.

A Stranger Voices, so many voices! Calling out, to them? Perhaps? They shook their head, they needed to hurry, to move. They had stayed in one spot for far too long, strangers couldn't be trusted, eyes watching always seeing. They hissed again as they took a wrong step, their legs buckling as they came to stop, allowing the following stranger to come close to them. A faint growl escaped their lips as they heard their gasp.
Spotted! The gasp was far to familiar, they had heard that before. A glint of silver was seen as a sudden dagger was out. They were tired so tired, they wanted peace, why could they not find it? The dagger was held out, hardly threatening but more for self defense. As if Casius was the villain in this story.
"Casius.." they seemed to wheeze out their voice cracked and weary. "I just..." they didnt know, but they dropped the dagger down. Clearly giving up on words as the sound of more voices seemed to come closer to them. They have lost... Another sigh escaped their lips, as they lifted their head, and allowed the hood to fall, showing their face. Scars poorly healed, seemed to riddle the exposed skin, eyes once bright seemed dull, and they squinted in the more exposed light. "I'm just so tired." They spoke as it was clear to those that knew of them. It was the former High King, Isamu.

Daigo | 3
Daigo waited for the stranger, remaining calm in hopes to lend his serenity to them. The grullo kept trying to study the stranger to no avail. Then a glint caught his attention. A dagger made its way to the scene, aimed at Casius. Daigo's posture moved from comforting to defensive. No one was to earn a scar today. The stranger's original gusto faded quicker than is appeared and the dagger fell away again. Casius was all he seemed to register. The stranger revealed his face, but Daigo did not know it... not this version of it. Skin riddled with scars, some that seemed to match his own. As eyes fell onto the stranger's shoulder, Daigo's heart dropped. He knew first hand how these years had been for him, Daigo had shared the same fate as a boy. It was how he came to meet his wife. The catalyst for his blessed life he cherished now. "Isamu." Daigo stated, reassuring the stranger of who he once was. "You may rest now. You are home." The horse before him was not one her knew, but Daigo could still see a glimmer of his past self. Daigo spent many years tutoring Hajime, and he and the king's paths crossed many times. Daigo didn't know if his face even registered to the king- though even if it didn't, a servant never forgets his king. 230

Midori King's Guide (Harbinger) | Vagabond
"Half gods are worshiped in wine and flowers. Real gods require blood." "My King!"
It comes out in a breathless whisper, truly speaking to none one but herself as her mind tries to piece together what has just happened. She recognizes that face immediately. Their appearance stings them, in more ways than one. How long had she serve him before he vanished? The amount of years have long since been lost to her. Would he recognize her? Perhaps not. With her face mangled and melted by the hands of Aodhian drags, she was more than certain she would appear different--to him, at least.
"Hayate... It's Isamu." She mumbles to her fellow blind equine. What it must be like to not know what was currently going on around them was unfathomable to her, to some extent. At least she still had a working eye to be able to witness all of this. Midori finds herself briskly walking over to him, pausing briefly to allow the fog--and Hayate--to catch up to her. She's eager to be near him, eager to serve and aid in anyway she can. There are faint memories of serving that dance through her mind. It was all visions of simpler times where she had done nothing more than guide the King. Oh, how she wishes those days would come back to her. Was this what true heartbreak felt like? She was more than certain of it. "High King." She is more than aware it's no longer his title. That his son is now the holder of it, but it comes as such a quick reflex that she can't stop herself. "Are you alright? Oh, my dear, what have they done to you?"Her heart continues to break. She just wanted some bloody peace and quite. And she certainly wanted that for Isamu, himself.

Casius;Breim | Priest Kindness trumps all, except when it doesn't When Casius let a gasp slip when he came to the cloaked stranger's side, he knew he was right in what he saw. The father of the current High King, Hajime. The King who went to Aodh and never returned. Looking to the scars, Casius could tell the past two years were more than harsh to the lost royalty of Breim. Casius watched carefully as a dagger glinted in the light, making the Priest hyper aware of the stress the old King was feeling. Guessing that the crowds of celebration weren't the easiest of places to talk to the lost King, Casius used his body to shield Isamu from the crowd before gently speaking to him, "Yes, Isamu, it's me, Casius. You're among people who can help you now. Get you to shelter. I understand you must be very overwhelmed and confused right now, is there any healing I can offer you before we get you somewhere safe? Either by blessing or herbal?" He asked softly. Wanting to assure him no one was going to hurt him here. He was home. Politics with Hajime would be dealt with later. The boy had dealt well with his sudden force into forefront Royalty, but he was still young, very young. Although clearly Isamu was in no position to rule at that moment. Casius only hoped it would be a civil conversation had between the correct authorities until things came to a conclusion.
Thinking about Royal authorities, Casius turned to Sakura who had come over amongst the bustle. "Sakura, perhaps you could quietly alert those at the Palace that we'll be returning an old friend. I think it's clear Isamu needs rest and solace right about now until we can get this all sorted out." He said with a smile to the Queen. Casius also thought to himself how confusing it must be for the lost King to come back and find his son grown as the High King and married too.
Giving the others that had gathered around in the ragtag group smile too, Casius asked "Perhaps it would be best for our dear Isamu if we could keep his appearance a secret from the crowd for the time being. We want the smallest hassle possible in these confusing times." Confusing indeed, just as things began to pick up in peacefulness around the place, lost figures began to reappear too.

Arya | Master
A voice. Wheezing and Raspy. Hardly more than a whisper. Yet still, the inflection, the underlying tone... It sounded familiar. It tinged her memory though she could not quite place it. Until that is, the hood of the stranger fell back. A horrified gasp was pulled unwillingly from her, seeing them in such a state. Her eyes drank in the visage of someone she didn't think she'd ever see again. The High King. Two long years ago, though for her it may have been the blink of an eye compared to what it seemed they had been through. "Isamu." Their name came out as a breath, and she moved to the other side of him, opposite of Casius, shielding them from the other side, but careful to give them enough room so as not to panic. Glancing at Casius over Isamu's shoulder, her eyes prickled with unshed tears, noticing more and more wounds that littered their King's body. What had happened to them? "It might be a good idea to remove ourselves from such a crowd until we can make our way to the Palace?? Does anyone have an area nearby where we can relocate perhaps? I'd suggest my compound, unless someone has closer residence or a less crowded route to the Palace?"

SAKURA High Queen of Breim
“Don’t be long,” Sakura called after Casius, head lifting as he left the group to peruse the stalls. She watched, curious as to what he would pick out, before the stallion quickly followed a cloaked figure. The same energy as before, uncertain and anxious, radiated from the equine. She hadn’t seen them steal an apple, but their behavior was enough to stand her hairs on edge. Soon, Casius was joined by Arya and Kano. Midori’s gytrash appeared, fully formed – or, as formed as a fog-hound could be – furthered her caution. She couldn’t see past the crowd, but the general mood of each equine hadn’t shifted. Not yet, at least. She could sense shock, but not panic, not fear. She wished she had kept the guards with her. Surely there were others watching from the shadows, hidden in plain sight. Sakura remembered the discussion of more Watch being posted in the area. Where were they? Her jaw clenched as Midori and Hayate both questioned their surroundings. “I’m not sure,” she finally announces, voice now serious, concerned. A brief moment allowed the crowd to part just enough for Sakura to see the dagger aimed at Casius’s chest. Maybe it should have been fear that swelled in her chest, but anger boiled instead, flowing through her body. How dare they! This was a celebration! A joy to be shared throughout Nariah and all the Umare cities, and there they were, this…! She could only imagine them to be from Sterling, this Kawaru, hissing like the snakes they so were, threatening their beloved Priest. Threatening her. She would not become a victim this time. Manicured hooves on slender legs pushed her forward from the remaining party. Who did they think they were, attempting this? Her nostrils flared, tail high. The crowd had shifted, allowing her to pass through, curious as to why the Queen looked so angry. “As High Queen, I demand you cease all –”
“Casius… I just…” Cloak and dagger both falling from the stranger. “I’m just so tired.”
A gasp. Sakura stopped in her tracks, flanking Casius and Daigo, her body tense and rigid with shock. The blood had drained from her face. Her eyes were wide, and she felt as if the spirits were playing a cruel joke. What if this was a spirit? A hoof was tentatively placed in front of her, then another, as she drifted closer to Isamu, his body and face shielded from the crowd by Casius, Arya, Midori, and Hayate. Her eyes remained focused on the heavy scarring, on the Aodhian sigil burned into his now-dull coat. How fortunate Hayate was to be unable to see the marred King’s return. How ironic. “What have they done to you, my King?” The words choke out of her throat. Standing so close to him, she could feel the confusion, the pain, the suffering rolling off his body, could feel the surprise and concern from the group. Around them, the crowd continues on with their celebrations, no longer interested in the commotion, their line of sight blocked. Sakura was glad for this, but her mind raced. What had they done to him? Made him a slave, clearly. Oh, how they’d pay. How? Will Isamu replace Hajime? Is my short-lived title of Queen to be removed? It couldn’t be – not with how he stood there, flashing that blade. Unfit for duty, unfit to rule – "Sakura, perhaps you could quietly alert those at the Palace that we'll be returning an old friend. I think it's clear Isamu needs rest and solace right about now until we can get this all sorted out." Casius’s voice yanks her back to the present. “Yes. Yes,” she agrees, turning her head to look at Arya at the mention of her compound. The Palace was too far. They could all escort the King, yes, but she worried about Kawaru interference. What if this was the Kawaru she had been so worried about, if not a spirit? The pegasus swallowed hard. Bile rose into her throat, stomach burning and twisting at the idea. No, they would not be going directly to the Palace. “I think your house will be just fine for now,” she says, hiding the worry and panic in her eyes. What would Hajime do? Say? Her heart ached for him, ached for Isamu, ached for the knowledge that – if this was the King, and not some cruel imposter – this meant war with Aodh. War? Could Breim, her precious Breim, even handle a war? A deep breath. This was not the time to ponder on revenge. “You,” she began, staring at Kano, voice a harsh whisper, “Go to the Palace. Alert the King’s Guide that King Isamu has been found, and that I am staying with him until more of the Watch return to help escort our King. You may take another with you, but do not stop otherwise. I want him safe before nightfall.” With that, her attention turned to Isamu. Her legs felt as wobbly as a foal’s. “Casius, could you help our King replace his hood? We don’t want unwanted attention.” Her voice is raspy, quiet, unnerved. “Arya, lead the way, please.”

Kano Guard of Breim
Kano slowed his pace slightly, trying to gauge the situation as more equines interacted with the hooded figure. His hooves brought him around to the group to get a better view. His muscles tensing in preparation as the glint of a dagger showed itself. He was ready to leap in, to intercept the blade, should it find a target. The beige stallion gritted his teeth, preventing to show signs of shock. This event did not need any more peering eyes as it already did. Kano had recognized like many of the equines had already done, who this figure was. It was none other than the previous king, his king. Though he was not in the Watch long enough to serve for Isamu, he had admired the ruler. His purple eyes were glinting with sadness and anger as they flickered across the many scars that did not need to be. It panged him.
Now, what to do. Before Kano's brain had time to process, Casius had already suggested a good plan. Kano gave a curt nod; it made the most sense. His ears flicked forward as he leaned his head closer to Sakura, who had joined them, carefully listening to her instructions. After she was finished, he replied with a quick bow: "Yes, My queen." Kano searched for Gihasye, locking eyes with the mare. "Stay with the queen." If it weren't obvious enough, the statement would suffice. With that, the stallion was off. Slipping into the less crowded alleyways, he began making his way towards the palace. Hopefully, he would run into other members of the watch to send towards Arya's compound or another horse that could help him navigate Nariah as fast as he can. He had to shoulder his way through more crowded areas, accidentally bumping his shoulder into Isayu. Kano continued on his way through the crowd, not noticing. He had to get to the Palace as fast as possible. Argus help us.
