Summary: Nav gets word from his family that they are locked out of the Oasis, and the group decides they have nothing better to do than stick together as they travel the desert. It's just a big joke to all of them as they try not to get on each other's nerves too much.
Setting: Sometime almost immediately after the events in Chapter 6, Serora Plot 605
Note to newcomers: Please don't just post! While we would love to run across any of you that got stranded outside the Oasis, please message one of us and let us know you're jumping in first, and if you intend to just do a quick passing by to say hi for a few posts, or stay for the longer haul. Our "rebellious teens" often annoy the piss out of their "grump kirin parents" so don't expect them to always be so welcoming ^_^

Navjeev Fleet Footed Windracer When Trente had returned with the letter from his parents about the news that they were erecting a barrier, Navjeev and the rest of what remained of their group realized they were never going to make it to the Oasis in time. The kirins, who had been serving as guards to the Serorans, still stuck around, although Nav had no clue why. He guessed they were lonely and had nothing better to do, and that perhaps Amaranthe still wanted to kick his and Lucifer's asses for the stunt they pulled. As for Lucifer, Nav also assumed the same. They really had no home left, and were on the run from any Aodh invaders. In fact, it was better for the two windracers to stick with the kirins, for while they were lucky at the supply camp, next time might not be so fortuitous. They had lost all their other companions. Dharma it was believed went off towards the Oasis and had caught up with the ranger, Kristofer and the kids, and the other two pegasi vagabonds went on their way.
Navjeev himself too went off on his own, but had promised to return. He felt the need to visit the Temple of Alya, and his efforts had granted him his blessings. These new gifts would prove to be much useful in the coming days, and helped him to return to his companions much faster than expected. IT was fun to him to continue to experiment with his powers, and his speed was now unmatched! He swept back into their makeshift campsite on the edge of the Valley and the Sear with a flourish and a cloud of dust, pleased with himself. The falcon that was his familiar could no longer keep up with his speeds, and held onto the sail of the windracer board tightly when the male ran, and when he used his board, the bird was pleased to find that Nav had a bit of control over pushing small gusts of wind to help him too fly faster.
They hadn't really made any plans for what to do next, and Nav was feeling impatient. He wanted to go places and do something, even if it was only to show off his new gifts to his companions, or find a use to help others with them. His other hidden talent too had manifested, and he was feeling egotistical, strong, and pretty cocky. Yeah, cocky was probably the best word for it.
Trotting up to the group, the kirins looking as grumpy as usual, Nav spoke. "Sooooo, what's the plan? I mean, we could keep travelling aimlessly with no goal in sight, but come on, it's gotta be more exciting than that. We are probably like some elite force compared to other stragglers out here. We could take out more camps, or help other people stranded outside the Oasis, or fight back that Aodh scum." He had been worried about his family before, but through the note, he learned the barrier was only penetrable by astral projection, and that they had gotten a passerby who also was stranded to reply to Nav's message. They would all be safe now, and all he had to care about was himself. And his companions. He would feel bad if any of them got hurt.
