Striker Commander of the Freedom's Flight
......
Milo’s ears had fallen to lie flat on his skull as soon as he had been beaten to the ground and captured, but stayed there the entire journey to Sedo and throughout his time there thus far. Back in Aquore he was fitted with a chained collar that not only imprisoned him but cut off his Blessing as well. Just the thought of it made the stallion snort in annoyance as he kept to his corner of the cell, one leg cocked either in relaxation or readiness to kick. These sand hippies weren’t capable of containing him from his cause and his freedom, so they had to keep him weakened with this..thing. He snorted again as he pulled in vain at his chains. A few extra had been secured to him as he was quite the struggler. This wasn’t the first time he tried this, most of the guards had reprimanded him for doing so when they saw. Some of these guards were even ex members of the Flight. The Flight had lost so much, and now their own were turning against them. Milo curled back his lip at o e of the guards when he was once again told to calm down. With a huff he settled against an opening to the cell which was of course barred.
Soon we’ll be out of here...then we can finish what we started in Aquore. he thought to himself. He also continued to think about his Blessing...how it lost strength for awhile but while in the middle of the war it became more powerful again...Alya...it must have had to do with her. But in the whole herd of Serora, Alya’s patron herd, no one was able to answer his questions. No one would even hear them. Which made the young stallion all the more angry with the desert equines.
Little did he know he would have another more helpful visitor that day that would change his perspective on much.

C R E S C E N T Seroran Warder
......
Across the sands, a cheetah burst into view. The animal was racing as fast as its legs would run. Normally, this wasn't an abnormal sign in Sedo, but what followed was. A blur of buckskin and bright wings.
Crescent. She was a rather new Warder, had only been one for about three or so months. But she was allowed to guard the prisoners from Talori. She skidded to a stop as she crested the rocks the prison was on, wings flaring out to catch her momentum. The guard didn't appear impressed.
“ Wind beneath your wings. The sultan assigned me for the next rotation.” She said, ears turned to her compatriot. The guard hummed, moving past her as Milo finally came to her side, panting.
“You go too fast” Milo rasped out, Crescent smirking.
“Alya wants me to go fast Milo. You just need to speed up.” The golden collar clicked off, bringing the mare back into focus. She fiddled with her scythe, stepping in front of the prison, eyeing the prisoners briefly, before driving the end of her scythe into the ground. Then, she stood still, silent.
But her eyes kept on flicking back over her shoulder. She was interested in the prisoners. As a mare who had barely seen the ocean, she wanted to know Aquore. As these people had seen it.

Milo’s delicate hearing allowed him to pick up a buzzing which grew progressively louder, causing him to flick an ear in the direction of the entrance of the prison. He had not yet had enough interest to lift his head, but almost did when he heard a spray of pebbles on the rock wall outside. The weight of his body shifted from one side to the other as he listened in, not necessarily antsy but clearly unhappy at being cooped up. His wings were sore from being folded and unused for so long. When the Pegasus mare with the scythe came into view, he sighed softly, their faces blended together for him at this point. He didn’t care, he just wanted to leave. Return to the Aerie and continue the fight for Pegasus equality. Learn more about his Blessing and the winged god who imbued it into his blood as a fetus. It was all new for him and he was learning nothing behind these walls.
Out of the corner of his eye he spotted a chettah appear, which she referred to as Milo. Pegasus Milo’s eyes narrowed, his brows knit together and he scoffed. But he also heard Alya’s name. Alya wanted something from this equine? Did she want something from Milo? Or anyone else in the Flight? Or just anyone in general? His questions buzzed through his mind. But after he scoffed he attempted to make his voice as friendly as he could muster for being trapped in a dry rock prison.
“Alya...wants you to...” Milo questioned in somewhat disbelief, his voice not loud enough to cause a fuss but just loud enough to be heard.

......
Her ears shot up. Her head swiveled over her shoulder to face the pegasus who spoke.
“You know of Alya?” Of course he would, due to the wings on his back. She turned, sweeping a wing in front of Milo to calm the cheetah. The animal quieted, but glared over her ring of covert feathers. Gently, she rested her scythe against the rock wall.
Crescent sat then, ruffling her feathers.
“Alya gave me wings weeks ago. The collar is a new addition.” She explained readily. This guy seemed lonely, and she wanted to help! With a soft click, the collar activated, shrounding her and making her appear blurry and unfocused.
“Its imbued with Hyper Speed.” She said, flicking her tail. With another click, the collar turned off.
“Alya blessed me personally with Hyper Speed. Before her, Argus blessed me with The Sight. I want to protect, so i use my blessings to confuse and disorient. The Sight is good for stealth approaches too.” She seemed to realize something, giving a sheepish grin.
“Forgive me, i forgot to introduce myself. Crescent, Warder.”

Milo’s ears pricked up when the Pegasus mare spoke to him. “I know of her...not about her.” He murmured, somewhat defeated as he had wanted to learn as soon as his Blessing weakened awhile back. But no one in Aquore could really inform him or even somewhat answe his questions. In a way, he was glad this mare was speaking to him. Especially when she claimed Alya gave her her wings not long ago. Milo ignored the moody cheetah, who also was called Milo, seeing as the creature was weary of him. And so Pegasus Milo was of it, for he had never seen one before. One of his eyebrows raised and his face twisted into a confused expression.
“She...gave you those?” the imprisoned stallion gestured first to her wings, then the collar. Which had a Blessing apparently? And Alya had given her her Blessing? And Argus another? “You’ve met Alya? And she gave you your magic...to help your herd? What did she say?” his questions came quickly as his curiousity and passion grew. He leaned closer to the bars and ruffled his wings. “Alya Blessed me with Sonic Voice before I was born...I’ve never met her, heard from her. But I think I’ve felt her. My Blessing got weak for awhile, then came back stronger than ever. Did that happen to you? Do you know why?” desperation was growing in his voice as much as he was trying to mask it. His whole being cried out for Alya his whole life, but to no avail. Now things may change..he might finally grow closer to the mother of the skies he had yearned for for years.
“Milo. Striker.” He stated simply after battering Crescent with questions.

......
Crescent pursed her lips, settling down on the dusty ground.
“She was angry. Storms erupted all over Sedo. She revealed herself here, in these lands. Kaia and Ignacio..” A growl left the small mare, her feathering ruffling in displeasure.
“They brought back the kirins, and when Alya attacked them, they killed Her physical form” She revealed, ears flat against her head. Neither god had her respect or love. Even if she had never loved Ignacio, not with her people threatened by the fire herd.
“But she came back. She spoke of her love for her children. And that includes you!” She concluded with a smile.
“How about you Milo? What do you do what you do? I know….about the sacrifices. The discrimination. But how did you get around it to join...your organization? You grew up around it, it must have seem normal to you.” Crescent said, tilting her head. Her wings shuffled as she kicked her back legs out from under her. It was more comfortable that way. She opened her wings, shedding sand. Milo lay down beside her, obviously ready to jolt into action at any time.
“What does the ocean look like? I...haven't ever seen it.”
