ORISA | TALORI | EMISSARY
So as the waves come, let 'em take us - as they cover you and me, and they pull us underneath - it takes the shape of who will save us.
Successful in her bid, Orisa went to pocket the item, only to find she had gathered several admirers. She recognised the grand cleric almost instantly, reflexively bowing her head towards the present company.
"Well met, Corrine, it is quite a splendid piece, isn't-"
She broke off, distracted, as a foreign fin brushed her left side. Apologetic in her gaze, she turned to look from the painted mare and down to a small hippocampus, red eyes staring imploringly at the pendant she held. Though her experience with children was limited, her expression softened at the colt, and she lowered the trinket to his level of sight.
"Hello... Where did you come from-"
Once again, she was interrupted.
She had heard the growing crowd behind her, listening to their superstitions and simply pushing the feeling of unease down to her pregnancy, or perhaps being pulled into the mass hysteria that only a mob could ignite. Both would have been a better alternative to the growing horror that was their reality.
The city was being torn apart, twisting and warping beneath their very feet.
"We need to get out of here," Orisa paused, looking around in earnest for the best route that would lead them to the surface. "child, with me!"
They hadn't much time.

Corrine Cleric of Starfall SpringIm a series of small victories and large defeats and I am as amazed as any other that I have gotten from there to here Head nodded as Orisa spoke, though the sudden appearance of a small child made Corrine smile all the more. Watching the youngster look with admiring eyes, made the mare yearn for one of her own. A thought and desire she never put much faith into. As Orisa addressed the small child, something suddenly shifted and changed. The ominous feeling Corirne had been feeling earlier came back with full force.
A breath stilled in her throat as she watched the reality of it all, everything was warping changing the crowds were beginning to rush about and Corrine's view went directly to the child refusing to let them get lost among the sea of crowd and the chaos that seemed to spreading each second. Orisa took command and Corrine could only feebly nod.
"I'll follow behind you." she remarked now trying to regain some of her own inner strength. This could be a measure to ensure the child would not fall behind. This was madness what exactly was happening? Had no one been checking on things? After everything had happened could the Talorians have no sudden peace? Were they doomed to rage with fear to the point leaving ones come was a fear? Shaking her head she refused to let it make her motionless and accept defeat.

Tiffanyi;Aodh | Envoy I’ve got a thing for genuine people She was just working on getting into the group when her whole world erupted. Why had she come to this place? To become more cultured, be a voice for her herd? Regrets were surfacing, biiiiig regrets. Moments before Tiffany was focusing on stunning architecture and beautifully crafted wares. Now she would be swimming for her life.
As everything surged into chaos and the Gods spoke cryptic words, Tiffany felt lost. Why had she chosen this day to try out a foreign place alone? For once, jewellery felt meaningless and Tiffany for once, just wanted to survive. Panicking, she fixated on some calm vibing figures and mentally latched on. There, they had a child. They'd keep the child safe and therefore the Envoy would be safe too.
She quickly caught up to them and clung on. "Hi, hello. I'm Tiffany and as you may be able to tell, I'm not from here. Some would regard me as important, can you please help me get out of this wretched place?" She begged. Heck she hoped the majority of Talorians were nice.

Cinnamon Just as the mare was about to say something more to the group she had found herself with, the world began to crack, moving her away from the group she had so hopefully wished to speak with. Everything had felt so wrong earlier, and now she was beginning to understand why.
Who has spoken? Who had called to their brother? Was it a god? Was ignacio now releasing his wrath on the city? Why would he? There were so many questions that swam in the mind of the flighty mother before she tried to get some sense as to what was happening.
Quickly, she sidestepped away from the fissure that had erupted, moving as daintily as she could from place to place before rejoining the group that had been... closer... to her side than the others. The world was twisting and turning beneath them, and now more than ever the mother wished she had stayed at home... or at least managed to get what she had originally set out to purchase. Something to ease her stomach would have been nice.
That was when she heard another equine come closer to the small group. Cinnamon would have been relatively upset with the hippocampus that "wasn't from around here" if she wasn't in such agreement with her. The world that she had known was suddenly ripping apart.
"We need to get moving." Her voice was raised in a panic tone, unable to lower from the worry that now settled directly in her gut. "Before the city kills one of us."
Oh Cascade, first the flight and now this. I can't be separated from my children again!

Owain Tenderfoot, Son and Brother and also a little ray of sunshine!
The child had been mesmerized by trinket and colourful mare alike, always one drawn to bright colours. He'd even forgotten to be shy, smiling brightly up at Orisa when she began speaking to him, only to be cut off by the most horrible thing he had ever experienced. The world went absolutely mad and he couldn't understand nor process it fast enough. Suddenly the sounds were too loud and angry and she water tasted bitter and made him cough. It paralyzed him with fear when he realized his mother was no longer nearby and as he swung about in a tight circle, he couldn't see her anywhere in the chaos.
"AMA! " he cried at the top of his lungs, a shrill sound. The colourful mare was no longer a friendly face and neither was the dreadlocked mare. They were strangers in a world collapsing and all Owain wanted was his mother. Clearly, in a state of full-blown panic and mounting shock, the little nudibranch hippocampus struggled to move anywhere, losing coordination of his limbs as he kept screaming for his 'Ama' over and over while crying hysterically.
If he was to be saved he had to be carried.

The response to the fissure opening, the toxification of the water, and the resounding groan as the city began to fall was quick. You are quick to begin swimming, dragging along those that have frozen in fear as a way of saving them too. Orisa leads your group to weave through a number of archways. Should you break free of them you'll be able to emerge from the lowest level of the city and be that much closer to the surface.
Next to you, other residents of Kiephis also swim. Shouts and screams add to the panic of the situation, and the horror of families being separated and buildings toppling down is enough to fuel your drive to escape even further. Your attention is caught by a panicked child, similar to Owain and frozen in fear. Before any of you can think to save it, it has been knocked from stasis by a falling keystone.
It is the mother within the group, Cinnamon and the foreigner Tiffany that pause a second too long to watch the child disappear, forced to sink to the ocean floor. When they return their attention to escaping they are only able to see a massive falling shape. Both horses swim through an opening in the building, only narrowly making it inside. As suddenly as it seems to fall, it stops and everything inside the building falls forward. The opening that Cinnamon and Tiffany had first swum through is now blocked by a portion of walling.
"Help! Please!"
___
Oh no! The characters Cinnamon and Tiffany have become trapped in a building that toppled. Their way out is blocked by a heavy portion of walling, but perhaps with a bit of effort from both parties and any potential blessings, the two can be freed before anything bad happens!
The building is currently stuck. It started to fall but now it's just awkwardly propped against another building (lol but that one's not gonna last long either). Your group needs to save both of them (or leave them to save themselves if ur cruel) before both buildings collapse again and they're sent down to the ocean floor! You can use blessings, strength stats, or cunning stats to figure out a plan!
You must post at least three times (total as a group) to free both characters! Posts from Cinnamon and Tiffany do count towards your total!

Odette || Craftsman
One moment Odette had felt some heavy weight of guilt slowly lifting at the prospect of getting some time to reconnect with her long lost to her friend, but just as soon as the day was looking better; all hell broke loose. Well, at least that was what Odette gathered after she regained her senses. Whatever force had torn apart the city had thrown her into a wall, rendering her unconscious for a few moments. A few moments had been all it took for the world to collapse in itself it seemed as Talorians streaked past on all sides screaming. One voice rose above the other's flooding her ears, the voice of a young child screeching out for a lost parent. Maternal instincts driving her forward, Odette swam with powerful strokes towards the youngling, and pulled the struggling colt to her chest with her forelegs, "Darling, it will be alright, we will find them." She spoke gently, though her grip on the precious child was strong; even if he were frightened of her as well, she would rather that than see another child crushed by a piece of rubble.
She gaze shot up at the sound of the building collapsing, amber eyes widening at the realization that someone was trapped in there. She swam towards the building, still holding tight to the colt, and called out to those trapped once she was close enough. "I can freeze the water in the cracks to make them wider!" she called out to those trapped, "But you will have to be quick to swim through, once I unfreeze it the building will collapse ever further!"

Cinnamon The sound of screams and separated families was hard to push past, harder still was the image of a child, frozen, being knocked to the seafloor. Panic and bile simultaneously rose in the mare's throat as Cinnamon tried to turn back to the focus of running... until she realized that her path was going to become blocked by a falling building. Try as she might to catch up, she couldn't help but feel fear shift through her system.
Adrenaline was pumping through her veins in this moment as she realized she and the hippocampus that recently introduced herself, Tiffany, were both trapped.
"Oh no. Oh no. Not again." She muttered to herself, quickly trying to find a way out to the best of her ability. It was almost as if Cascade herself had appeared when a voice called from the other side.
"I can freeze the water in the cracks to make them wider!"
A pause.
"But you will have to be quick to swim through, once I unfreeze it the building will collapse ever further!"
Cinnamon didn't have to be told twice. The chance at escape was too important to her. "If you think that will work, I say go for it!" She called, trying to hide the sheer panic that was beginning to take hold of her. "I'll try to move some of the rocks on this side, but I'm not sure if I can do much."
Her hooves hit stone in that moment as she began to chip away at the blockage. She had to hope that this would be enough...

Corrine Cleric of Starfall SpringIm a series of small victories and large defeats and I am as amazed as any other that I have gotten from there to here Everything was happening so quickly, the waters were becoming toxic and now this? She felt as if she was getting to old for this, she wanted to have a long life, but did life want her for the long haul? Eyes turned as she watched Odette approach the building willing to us her blessing to help them. Corrine's held little to value now. But as another spoke of pushing out rocks, well she could manage that. "I'll help rid some rocks, try to get you out of there." she called out.
As she approached she began to dig, while she felt the ice begin to spread. Qucikyl now she thought to herself. Hooves dug at the rubble trying her best to make a better passage way for the equines to escape. She hoped perhaps if Odette only focused on that it could hold a bit longer, last a bit more of this to work. "We will get you out there." she remarked in a voice she had used so many times healing them. A chance for hope, to know this was going to happen, they had all faced much worse, they would see another day.
Gods she prayed, they'd make it out of here alive.

Tiffanyi;Aodh | Envoy I’ve got a thing for genuine people She couldn't believe it. The incredible, beautiful city she had come to see on her one day off and it was literally crumbling around her. What luck she had. Move to a new continent, you'll get great life experience! You're mature, you can help solve the issues. Bleh. What she wouldn't give to be in her own private bath house right now.
Looking about wildly as she followed behind those she clung to, she barely had time to blink as she took it all in around her. She found herself come to a halt as she watched an innocent child fall into the depths beyond Cascade's watch. "We need to get moving before the city kills one of us." Well, any hope from the Hippocampus that this was a regular thing that the Talorians dealt with and were prepared for was thrown above the waves. Shit.
A little too late Tiffany felt the looming shape coming from above, internally screaming she swam through the one opening she could see and panted hard as she realised her doom. Her head whipped back and forth as she tried to see another opening, but all she found was that she was stuck inside with another. Shit.
Thankfully, as her ears pricked forward she realised they hadn't been deserted. She gladly listened to the plans beginning to unfold. Noting her own panic, Tiffany began to take deep breaths and noting the mare beside her trying to hide that panic, the Envoy thought now would be the time to utilise her blessing appropriately. Stretching out Tiffany focused on Calm and Focused emotions using her Psychic Manipulation as the mare began chipping away at the rubble, letting them plant into her mind.
Using her cunning, she waited for the perfect opening as she worked alongside Cinnamon trying to make an opening big enough for them to get through. As soon as Odette had frozen the space big enough, she squeezed through. Her legs scraped heavily on the sharp edges, but she didn't care, she just wanted to be free.

Owain Tenderfoot, Son and Brother and also a little ray of sunshine!
Owain was terrified but more so by the world falling apart than the strangers around him. Between the two, he'd cling to an unfamiliar mare any time of the day, which meant that he held a death-grip on Odette's one foreleg with his own, while his slug tail desperately sought somewhere to anchor down on her. He twisted, rolled over and latched that slightly mucusy-foot onto her chest, his own legs still wrapped around one of hers. He stuck to her effectively, whimpering for his 'Ama!' but at a much softer volume than before.
Ever since birth Owain has struggled with poor health. It was a miracle when he was without a cold, and on good days he only coughed and sniffled a little. But now the water was being filled with toxins from below the earth's rust, and even though the small group and pulled him away from the epicentre, Owain soon began hacking and wheezing, spitting out foul water which irritated his throat. His eyes felt puffy and itchy, and out of the water, they would no doubt be running madly on their own.
With nothing else to do, the little one sobbed quietly in between bouts of coughing and retching from the foul taste mingling with the salty water.

Cinnamon As soon as an opening came into play, the sea slug hippocampus pushed her way through, waiting to ensure that Tiffany was able to get through as well before moving on. Letting out a short breath of relief, the cleric couldn't help but feel more than just a little gratitude towards those that had stopped and turned back to help out.
"Thank you." She said softly, glancing around to see if there was anything else that the group needed to worry about. Though she couldn't see any immediate danger. "We should keep moving before things get worse."
She was still troubled by all that had occurred. Why was the city crumbling? She frowned slightly, still trying to figure out who had called out to their brother? If this was coming from the gods, it meant that Ignacio was probably the brother that had been called out to... It'd explain the fissure... but not much else.
"I don't like this one bit." She muttered to herself, glancing at the others. Hopefully they'd get out of this alive. They were sure to! She had to be positive... even if on the inside she was no where near as certain.

Escaping the building had not been easy, but putting your wits together as a group allowed for both of those trapped to escape back into open water. The water felt more heated now, not boiling, but just uncomfortable enough to add to your distress.
The water continued to toxify and the buildings continued to crash. Just moments after freeing those in the building and beginning to swim upwards and out of the city once again, a block of the city crumbled. A cloud of debris and sand plumes from where the buildings have collapsed and it obscures your view of the surface.
A rock falls past your group. Something above you must have fallen now. Another rock sinks down. It hits Orisa squarely on her back but is not big enough to cause damage.
You must now navigate a city you struggle to even see, and avoid falling debris as it comes.
You must reach a count of six (6) posts as a group in order to find a clear shot to the surface! Good luck! Y'all have been doing great!

ORISA | TALORI | EMISSARY
So as the waves come, let 'em take us - as they cover you and me, and they pull us underneath - it takes the shape of who will save us.
Orisa was grateful to the stranger that swept the child up quietly - the one who had been enamoured with the locket only mere moments before - against their side, glad to not have another body to look out for.
Babysitting was not her forte.
As the seemingly self-elected leader of this somewhat haphazardous group, she hurriedly abandoned the stall and its items, taking off. Navigating the collapsing metropolis with another panicked glance at the streets around them, she watched as the foundation collapsed and crumbled away beneath their hooves; coughing and choking as a plume of toxic gas broke through and surrounded them.
Another child abandoned in the chaos was quick to be claimed by the city, and her heart sunk at the sight of it. There was nothing to be done for them, but she prayed that their passing was painless.
A sudden shout caused her ear to flick back, her head turning ever so slightly to see that they had been waylaid. Part of her screamed to keep going, to leave them all far behind if they were so determined to stay; but, she couldn't do it. Not after what she just witnessed.
Rushing back with a few hefty flicks of her tail, Orisa lent aid; pushing against the ice-covered stones to free their comrades. As the first pushed through the gap the group had created, she looked up again and weighed their chances against the odds.
Once they were free to move again, the city began to open up, suggesting they were not far from the surface...
Then something struck her side.
Streaks of pain shot down over her fins as the rock collided against her, its rough patterned surface tearing fine scales from her back. She stopped swimming, dazed and momentarily encumbered with flashbacks as it grazed over her already damaged fins.
Glowing eyes and yellowed fangs pressed through the sudden darkness of her mind, and she might have screamed - though she couldn't be sure - bubbles escaping from her open mouth. Sparks of electricity flew from her hooves, as though fending off an old foe.

Tiffanyi;Aodh | Envoy I’ve got a thing for genuine people Far out, Tiffany did enjoy the sweet taste of freedom, although the taste left in her mouth was rather bitter and sour from the toxic gases seeping through the water. Thankful that the other that was trapped with her was now free too, she squinted through the murky water, just trying to get a slight bearing on where was up and which was down. However in a rush of moments in a completely foreign area, the Envoy was stumped and found she could do nothing but follow along with someone who did know the area if she were to survive this ordeal. Please, Cascade.
It was then that she became aware of the larger parts of falling debris coming at them at an alarming speed. Before she could react to anything, a rock came at one of their makeshift group and Tiffany rushed forward with concern. However she swayed backwards and she became aware of the sparks emitting from the mare's hooves. That was not a good situation among panicked equine underwater. Before she could let the fear of the situation and the thrashing mare panic her more, she took as deep of breaths as she could dare manage and focused on sending out peaceful feelings. Hoping it would hold the mare together, enough to stop the flow of Ignacio's electricity. Daring to make contact, Tiffany tried to help move the mare closer toward the surface. The sooner they were out of this wretched city, the better. Leaning closer to her ear, Tiffany wanted to pass on words of soothing, "My fire lord is quite taken with you, you are blessed and loved by him." She told her with a smile. At least something was familiar in this place. She nodded to another of the group to help her lessen the mare's pain by making her swim less. "Does anyone have a miracle to get us out and away from this chaos??" She pleaded. Fuck, she needed a wine.

Corrine
Thank the gods they had gotten them out, they were going to make it, it was going to be okay. So far it looked like everyone was in good shape, well enough so in a mess like this. Corrine looked to the small child and tried her best to consul them. "Its alright, we will find your parents, we will get you home." she remarked in a smooth tone. Hoping the poor dear would settle a bit. Surely this had to be horrifying to one so young.
But peace would not come for them. For the world began to fall from the sky, entagling them into madness and fear. Corrine watched in horror as Orisa was struck, and she said a pray of thanks as Tiffany seemed quick to act. Corrine lingered closed to Orisa. "here let me help." she remarked offering a healing touch, knowing she could help ease the pain enough for them to get out of here. "Best bet is to head forwards them up to the surface, we need to worry more about moving forwards then up to the surface." she remarked, as it would be nearly impossible to move up and swirl around the ruble that was falling down on them. "We must keep going." she urged the group.

Owain Tenderfoot, Son and Brother and also a little ray of sunshine!
Owain did what little he could do and clung to his saviour with his slug-tail, equine legs and all. As far as he understood, the peaceful, tranquil and beautiful underwater world had exploded for no reason at all, and now foul tasting liquids were poisoning the water, making it difficult to breathe. Of course, his most primary concern was that the ocean floor had split in half and the toxic waters spilling out from down below had torn him from his mother, his 'Ama'. While hanging onto Odette for dear life, the one-year-old continued to sob for his 'Ama' under his breath, constantly trying to look back towards the split until he finally gave up and buried his small face in the mare's chest. Whatever she was doing didn't seem to affect the small hippocampus, 'glued' on as he was, and in no state to ask questions, no matter how loud they were in his mind.
He had enough presence of mind to see Orisa struck by debris and cried out shrilly on her behalf, clinging harder to Odette's forelegs while C0rrine and Tiffany came to the rescue, or at least to offer some aid. Owain could feel hot tears leaving his eyes, but the sea tempered them quickly and made them seem terribly in vain. Yet it was all the child could do. He wasn't blessed by any god, he didn't possess any special skills... he was just a little one exploring the wondrous city with his mother, and now he was terrified he might never see her again.

Cinnamon The mare continued on quickly, keeping note of the scared foal and the quite promises from Corrine. "She's right, we'll get you home safe and sound." She echoed, her voice feeling a little off. She was still very much worried and anxious for what was to come -- she did just have a building collapse around her--.
The mare paused for a moment before continuing on through the rough waters. "Does anyone have any thoughts as to why this is happening?" It wasn't like she enjoyed the thought of her city crumbling as all of it's inhabitants, but everything was happening so fast and she had no idea how to process everything. There were so many things to worry about and not enough brain to actually think anything through to fruition.
That might have been because of adrenaline at this point as well, Cinnamon wasn't sure. She just knew that they needed to keep moving... Otherwise...
She didn't want to think about it. She had a family and loved ones to get back to. If there was anything she was certain of, it was getting through this disaster.

ORISA | TALORI | EMISSARY
So as the waves come, let 'em take us - as they cover you and me, and they pull us underneath - it takes the shape of who will save us.
An eerie trickle of calm spread down Orisa’s spine, like ice cold water on a humid day. It soothed her panicked mind and dulled the sparks that emitted from her hooves. As her world slowly came back into focus, she saw she was not alone, and those that surrounded her were far from strangers.
The pain began to subside and ebb away as Corrine’s blessing washed over her, but instead of relief, a brief frown tugging at the corners of her mouth before she could hide it, processing Tiffany’s words. Blessed, was she? Oh if only the mare had seen the horror that spread her parents faces, horror that quickly turned to disgust once they had found out what Ignacio had done to her; furious that their only daughter had seemingly turned against them in the womb.
She shook her head, ridding herself of further demons before they could fester in her mind. Now was not the time to dwell on past transgressions.
“Thank you...” She murmured quietly to the pair, before realising they still expected her to lead them out of here. Taking in her surroundings once more, she felt herself lighten in recognition of the sight before her. “We are close to the surface now, hurry!”

Corrine
Corrine nodded as the mare thanked her, but Corrine needed no thanks. It was her job, her livelihood, this was what she did. Not thanks was needed, but Corrine wouldn't dwell much on it, with the city and everything around them falling. "Let us hurry then." she remarked. Corrine was eager to escape from this watery tomb, eager to breath in the fresh air, to feel the sun on her once more.
Eyes looked to the group, and worried that stone and whatever else falling down on them could snuff the light out any of them. Fear grasped her for a second, she froze and could feel the fear edge its way into her mind. The fear of not seeing her beloved once more, fear that this could be the last time she could see any of these faces. Corrine blinked once and then twice suddenly shaking her from the fear. Now was not the time to worry about such things. Shaking her head, as if shaking awya those thoughts, Corrine moved forwards and upwards getting closer and closer, or so she hoped to the waters surface. Every second was a second against them all. Death was something Corrine was acquainted with, but she was not ready to know them intimately yet.

One minute you are in the hazy darkness of city debris. The very next, you are... floating. Not literally, you can tell that much. But almost dreamlike. This is a vision. You can't tell if it is a remnant of the past or if it is a glimpse of the future; but regardless of the answer, it is relevant now.A NEW AGE IS DAWNING You are elevated, your vision spans the length of Aquore. You can see farther than should be possible. The experience is otherworldly. For a moment your breath catches. Beyond Aquore, you see other lands, though they are foggy and difficult to make out. WE'VE BOTH MADE OUR SACRIFICES, FOR BETTER OR FOR WORSE You can hear something in Her voice. Tension, regret, disappointment. Your vision tunnels, you plummet to the sea. The scene changes and you are once more overlooking Aquore. You feel the aching pain, the heavy thrum of something poisonous flowing through your veins. The Wilds seem to wilt under your gaze; something overgrown and uncontrolled seeping from the very roots of the trees. You feel more than see Her essence change.
THE CURSE HAS BEEN LIFTED; A NEW AGE IS DAWNING
The voice repeats itself. Your vision disappears. You are at the surface, seemingly delivered from your harm. The sea has calmed considerably. Home is nearby. Now you only needed to swim to it and reunite with your loved ones.
Congratulations Plot 607! Your plot has reached completion. Feel free to post wrap up posts. Please wait for an admin to claim your chapter rewards.

Tiffanyi;Aodh | Envoy I’ve got a thing for genuine people Feeling the mare calm with her aid, Tiffany managed a slight smile even as she breathed heavier never using her blessing so much before. The smile disappeared as the frown adorned Orisa's face at her words. The mare internalised that she had a lot to learn in this place and not for the first time, she wondered if she would be able to handle it.
However, the hippocampus felt relief flood through her as Orisa spoke of the surface. "Thank the Gods!" She exclaimed. Although the voice that whispered in her memories from earlier told her that probably wasn't the best choice of words in their situation.. As they moved forward, Tiffany couldn't help but glance backwards. Her mind stretched to the possibilities she could have experienced in the city just days before but now is was just debris crashing in on itself. She silently mourned for all those that were lost in the tragedy.
Then just as she was thinking she was transported. Feeling the presence of Her Tiffany shed tears although she was sure she was underwater, wasn't she? As the world stilled, Tiffany's feelers reached out as though to steady herself and she was relieved to see the sea calm once more. Blinking, she looked to the others in hopes they were either as confused as she was or completely understood what just happened. Looking at them she couldn't help herself, "You felt that too, right? Do you know what it means?" She asked with innocent confusion in her tone. What had she got herself into coming here?
Mind going a million miles an hour, she couldn't stop, "Anyone know of a bone-deep soothing bathhouse? Preferably herbal." Oh, how she needed a herbal bath.
