Quinn's lanky legs set off fast behind Lexi. A slight bit of envy for the filly's wings glazed over Quinn for a moment. She loved how fast Lexi flitted through the crowd. But Quinn had to admit, not having wings made it easier to stay hidden.
Soon the two of them slowed down. All around them there were food stalls. Quinn's mouth began to water as Lexi named off the different foods. "Cheese. Definitely some cheese. And oh my gosh we have to find strawberries." She noticed that Lexi had brought them down a stall way adjacent to Sola and the royal parade. They all looked so stuffy. But thanks to their stuffiness no one was paying attention to two young fillies. "I'm heading to that booth right there. I think I spot some strawberries."
Quinn wandered up to a booth whose owner had their back completely turned away. On their stand was all sorts of fresh fruits and right there in the middle, neatly tucked into a wooden basket with a checkered cloth were the ripest strawberries none to equine kind. Quinn kept her squeal contained and quickly snatched a whole basket. The shop owner didn't even flick their tail.
Heart racing she made her way back to Lexi, the basket tightly tucked in her lilac coral pink teke. "Ha! Now it's your turn Lexi! I can be a distraction if you need, but I think Sola is doing a pretty dang good job of that." Quinn was having way too much fun. Festivals were just the best. But soon she knew that food wouldn't be enough. She'd get the itch to snatch something even more daring. Quinn glanced back over at the stuffy royals. She spotted the Kirins and noticed a coin purse hanging loosely on one. Maybe that would be her next goal.
