[ Taye ]
It was nearly noon when two friends had parted, Taye bidding her best friend farewell after they had taken care of a couple of chores and tasks they had for the morning. While Cleo still had a few things of her own to deal with, the pegasus mare promised her father she would help him gather a couple items that he still had on his list. Normally, he would have done it himself but he’d gotten busy as well and couldn’t even tag along. Taye, being ever so eager and willing to help, took the job upon herself without even waiting for a protest from the older stallion. She’d pranced out of the house with her head and tail high and a smug grin on her face. Her parents always teased and joked that she was such an angel, which of course they thought anyways, but she wasn’t so sure about that.
Her only regret to making it her job to collect the necessary items for her father was the sand. Why was there always so much sand? It was like the ocean, but not. An ocean of stupid sparkly grains that were always found on one’s person no matter how much they washed or brushed. A nuisance really. She always gave the miles and miles of sand a look before traveling away from her home, going over in her head about just how much she hated it before literally stepping over it. The sand deserved it, after all.
Taye kept her wings tucked in comfortably against her side, keeping her head high to help her look around for what was important. Gathering wasn’t really a job of hers but she was fairly good at it. Just because she had one that was her main, it was helpful to know a few other skills just in case. Glasswork was next in line after trading, and then gathering. They all worked with one another anyways, gathering helping with what it was she crafted which could then be traded. Plus, gathering items for glass gave her the motivation she needed to travel. Not like it was the only reason she offered to take the job for her dad at all. It totally didn’t cross her mind to go for what she needed only and pick up for her dad on the way.
The feathers on her wings twitched in amusement and she shook them out, wrinkling her nose when the movement of them disturbed the sand below and kicked some of it up. Her mane and tail were long enough that she tossed them into braids but the minimal feathering on her legs had to deal with the horrors of sand. The mare lifted her brows in displeasure and peaked down to look at herself. A bath was well earned when she got back homes, that was for sure. Using her telekinesis, she made sure the satchel on her back was tight enough before she kicked off, spreading her wings and letting the wind catch them. She didn’t go up too high, flapping them rarely only to keep a good distance but that way she could cover more ground (air) and have a better view of all that would be useful.
