Talori | Conparis
......
There was little chance to see the streets on his own; as his rank, he rarely got out to go out without someone watching his back. Unless he was to sneak out, but he was far from the type. The closets he'd come was to ask his company for something and enjoy the few moments of silence to wander a bit, until he was evidently found a few paces away. He didn't much mind, but it did take some of the fun away of getting to know the city.
He liked to wander the streets though, when he could manage it into his day. Serora was a lively place in the capital, but it wasn't the same as Talori. Talori was bustling in a way that couldn't be matched. It seemed like the jungle could hoist life in more than one ways, and it warmed his heart.
With his shadow gone running some wild errand he'd asked for, the Conparis was busy wandering the streets at a slow pace, sticking his head into random places perhaps better left alone, trying to see more of the city. He almost looked mischievous, giddy as he could, clearly taking pleasure in the passing on the street; be it street entertainers or window shopping for a brief second. He had to keep a serious face most of the time, but on the streets, alone, he could do his best to blend in, at least at a glance.

Nefertiti.Talori | Cleric [Spiritual Guidance]
Post 1 | WC 328 If she had not been accustomed to the hustle and bustle of the city that she might have felt more out of place as she weaved her way through the crowd. She felt as if she had very little time in between helping others and her other duties as a Cleric to enjoy the sights and sounds of the streets. Always in a hurry to get to and from. But every once in a blue moon, she would get that chance to stroll through the city and get a split second to take in the sights. Pausing maybe once or twice to peer into shop windows; she debated on if there was anything that she should go in and grab. Those who recognized the chestnut mare had given her a soft 'hello' to which she responded as warmly as she could, forcing a warmish smile onto her face. No longer being in 'Cleric mode', as of right now, her face and appearance looked rather offputting and unwelcoming.
Tearing her gaze away from the shop window, the woman finds herself scanning the crowd of equines. Taking in a few faces that she has seen before but can't quite put the name too, Nefertiti feels her gaze remain longer on one of the Winged. Catching herself referring to a Pegasus as such caused her face to twist up in disgust at her own thoughts. Things were changing and she hadn't quite come to terms with it completely. She was a Cleric; she had no right to be judging others based on their appearance.
Realizing her gaze might be staying a little longer on the Pegasus; she realizes that she might have seen them somewhere before, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. Nefertiti had seen so many faces in passing that she couldn't remember all the times. There was something in the back of her mind that was screaming she knew them. But from where?

......
In a brief glance, Faris had caught a common horse staring his way, with an expression that didn't look the friendliest, if he had to admit it. He didn't pay much attention to them, continuing on to stare at a window, leaning close to the glass, staring at the window decor visible behind his faint reflection. There was enough stuffed into the small space to keep his attention for a few seconds as he browsed over it all, trying to see if anything in the window caught his eye. With nothing jumping out at him, like the rest of the stores, he turned away.
Subconsciously, the Conparis looked back over at the horse who'd been staring at him the short moment ago, only to see that they were still staring, perhaps with a bit more emotion now. His own returning frown was wiped off by a smile, as he rose his head and approached the stranger with a more welcoming air to him, mastered and radiating friendliness.
There was just something about her expression that intrigued him enough to approach the stranger and perhaps quiz her a bit to find out exactly was one her mind, and find out the exact reason she found him so interesting to stare at. "Hey," Faris spoke as he approached the stranger, his deep voice and thick accent sitting deep on his tongue. "I'm a bit lost, mind helping a stranger out?" he asked, subtly lying in the form of an excuse to start a conversation.

Nefertiti Talori | Cleric [Spiritual Guidance]
Post 2 | WC 262 The words barely register in her mind as her ears swivel forward; obviously hearing the sounds but not really taking in the words. It had taken her by surprise for the pegasus to approach her; seems her staring hadn't gone unnoticed. Standing there a little dumb-founded for a few seconds -if she hadn't been a little prepared her jaw might have hung open in shock- the common horse collects herself as quickly as she can. An awkward cough falls from her lips as arched eyebrows knit down into confusion and wonder. "Ah, of course." It seems she has finally realized what has been said as she slips into this mood of helping and aiding. Her words are gentle and airy as she tries to reign in her shock and awe; letting a gentle smile fall on her lips, she tries to make herself look and feel more warm and welcoming than she had a moment ago.
His request had made her feel more at ease; at least that was something she could do. Helping others was what she did for her living, so maybe the stranger might excuse her for her rude staring if she managed to help him along his way. Lost. It was certainly easy to do even the streets that seemed to be full of life at every turn. [She wouldn't admit it, but it had happened to her one or two times when she was younger.] The mare clears her throat with a rough cough before her head tilts to the side in wonder. "Where are you heading?"

He noticed that she seemed to relax and be at ease after her shock wore off; he didn’t react visually, perhaps loosing a little been of height from his loosening muscles, but that was the most of it. His smile got a bit more friendlier and he continued to watch over her and gauge whatever he could based off of her. He only nodded at her first words, giving her a near neutral expression, with the slightest bit of expectance in it.
In the moments of silence and watching her reactions, he came to the quick realization that he’d been totally skipping over - that he’d lied about needing directions. And that normally required a place to go in the first place, which he was distinctly missing. He could be up front, or he could continue to lie and make things off the top of his head. Either sounded a bit appealing, but one more morally sound than the other.
“To the Tides,” he spouted off first, at the top of his head. The common name for the philosophers part of the city. Which happened to be right next to the Palace. Close enough without shoving it in someone’s face or being too upfront. He could potentially be recognizable, as the Conparis, but he wasn’t one to go flaunt about it in general. Nor did he want to drive that attention around when he was alone. “I wouldn’t be too inconsiderate to ask you to show me the way there, would I?”
