Veles | Consul [To Serora]

"Fall down seven times, stand up eight."

Veles had missed the desert. She had missed the heat and the burning rays that came with being out in the great expanse of Sedo. If she could, she would move out here in a heart beat but she had a dedication to her home of Briem- so long invested in being a Consul and a former Tutor, Veles doesn't have it in her heart to leave the underground city.

Her delicate fingers wrap around the handle of her umbrella- while she enjoyed the heat and the sun, she was not about to let her skin wrinkle any faster than it already had begun. Shielding herself from the sun, Veles squinted out into the distance.

Her other hand and forearm held on tightly to a various stack of books and scrolls- whatever she could get her hands on before she returned to Sedo. Most of them had been her own but she managed to snag a few from a library; most wouldn't question where the former Tutor was taking them. Probably something to busy herself with while she was far from home. Something to remind her of Sirith and all that she would miss while out above ground.

But they were not for her. Veles had read many of these books cover to back over and over again. She knew the stories inside out and could probably recite what was in them without even second guessing herself.

No, they were for a young soul that she had decided that she would teach how to read and write. It wasn't something most Serorans learned and it was something that fascinated her since she came from a nation that prided itself on education. All those years spent in university might pay off even more if she can teach someone in her home-away-home about the wonders of books.

For them, Veles had picked out anything that might scream out of this world. A few scrolls on stars and the cosmos, a book of fairytales and she had even managed to hunt down a book over Alya- Veles was more than certain that would be the young child's favorite out of everything. (In truth, books over religion and the gods had been her favorited as well. Although she leaned towards Argus more than Alya. She didn't specialize in teaching religious beliefs and history to children for nothing.)

Now where were they? Veles hums to herself. Golden eyes scanning the area for the young Folk. It would probably be a one in a million chance if she spotted Moe. But she was going to do her best.
