ISYKLE
Hooves struck the ground, trying to no avail to release her hid end from the thick wrapped green menace that held her captive. Nostrils where flared, sounds of rage, fury and annoyance echoing around the thick jungle she had decided to explore that day. Even the fanged teeth houses in her mouth did little to release her from this situation.
The day had started fine. Arianna had arrived and given her a bit of a breakfast and a new blanket. The blankets needed to be changed every morning from the humidity within the greenhouse. It didn’t make sense to her why she couldn’t be seen by Anna’s parents or why she had to remain hidden. But the threat of being alone hung heavy over her. The shed wasn’t the worst place, the flowers made it more than bearable.
So once her belly was full and Anna had said her quite goodbyes for the day, Isykle was left to her own devices. Of course she rarely listened to the plead of Anna, to stay within the shed. Isykle was not one to remain tucked away, forgotten. So with the sun high in the sky she ventured forth and into the jungle once more.
Yet the jungle had other ideas. The kirin wasn’t being mindful of her footing and sure enough, the terrain vanished beneath her hooves. With a small cry, the filly tumbled down, the thick vines grabbing and circling her form. The only saving grace? They stopped her from hitting the ground fully but now only one of her front hooves could touch the floor, scraping at it as she tried to pull, yank and struggle her way out. With a few more snarls she struggled and kicked, head tossing. Snorts pushed hard through her nose, slitted eyes narrowed and eyebrows creased. These blasted plants needed to just let her go!
A stick broke somewhere, ear flickering as her head whipped around to stare in the direction of the sound. Breathing hard she hung quietly, bouncing slightly as he front foot ghosted the ground, her other one pinned against her stomach. Waiting, quiet. Who was there…?

TALORI | TENDERFOOT
Thadeus was in good spirits having been recently united with his mother. The Talori’s triumph over the Flock had brought many good things to him. His mother was noticeably calmer and less snappy than he was used to. Also, the young colt found he had gained not one but two new houses, each filled with rooms and things of his very own. It was a far step from his tragic beginnings in a prisoner war camp. Finally, all the promises his mother had made, seemed to be coming true.
Things were changing rapidly, but not all of it was for the better. The last Emperor, Thadeus’ uncle was murdered just like his dad, the Defender had, and a girl had taken his place. Not that Thadeus really minded that his ruler was Empress, he was used to strong women being in charge around him. however, the new laws Empress Thalassa was passing were another story. After all they had done, how could anyone see a pegasus as anything else than the untrustworthy scum they were?
So, things were far from stable, but for the most part Thadeus was adapting nicely and coming into his own with his newfound freedom. For once, he could actually act like a kid, play, be loud, explore. And that’s exactly what he was doing now.
.....
Nagisa had taken her son along with her to the village of Honeywater so they could spend some time in the country and pick up some much needed supplies from some of her favorite vendors. Thadeus didn’t have much patience for shopping, so at the first opportunity he left his mother’s side (with her permission of course) to go check out the town.
It wasn’t long until Thadeus reached the border of the small village. The lush forest beyond the equine-made architecture was beautiful, untamed territory, just beckoning to be explored. A frantic sound of rustling leaves caught the colt's attention. His breath caught in his throat. Was it an animal? Did a branch fall? Whatever it was, it sounded close.
Timidly at first, then more boldly, Thadeus stepped into the thicket, determined to solve the mystery. As he snuck through the bushes, he could still hear the leaves rustle. So it was definitely not a branch. Then he started to hear the grunts of someone struggling. It was someone trapped in the vines. A filly by the looks of it.
Confused and a bit amused, Thadeus came into the clearing and made his way towards her.
“What are you doing?”

ISYKLE
A small colt stepped into view. He had strange white clear fins? Spikes? One his back and some behind his elbows. He was dark, like her but in a different way. Slitted turquoise eyes regarded him quietly, watching the small hooves draw him closer. He seemed so much more at home here while she... This place proved to be just as stubborn and unrelenting as she was. Head turned slowly, matching his movement of approach. When he stopped she merely kept staring. What more was there for her to do, she was the one stuck in these blasted vines!
The bouncing slowly stopped and her only free front leg hoovered above the ground, hanging below her. Ears where trained on him, one flickering away once and a while only to snap back towards Thaedus. Maybe this small colt wanted to help her? As the silence hung leaving his words untouched her muzzle dipped and took in her trapped form. It swiveled around to look over her withers, taking in the thick green bastards wrapped around her hind end and lower back legs. Pinned.
Cranium rotated back to the colt and jaws parted. "...Hanging Out?" She answered without a hint of a joke anywhere to be found. "Stuck." Front leg scored at the ground once more, digging up more of the thick nearly wet soil only to fling it helplessly when her grip was gone. Yet, how could this small dark colt help her?

'Hanging out?' Thadeus snorted, completely entertained by the scaled filly twirling around helplessly in her leafy prison. She looked ridiculously hilarious.
Ever so quizzical, Thadeus walked closer and around filly, studying the vine placement while trying to figure out how such a mess was made in the first place. He couldn't for the life of him, figure it out, but one thing was for sure... she was stuck and stuck bad.
Upon closer inspection, Thadeus also began to take more notice of the filly's unique physical characteristics. She had horns and a scaled tail like that one kid, Gaelan, he met in the jungle ruins. He had called himself a pegasus but it was obvious to Thadeus he was some kind of weird hippocampus. They never got a chance to really settle that debate but maybe this new filly would be able to.
"You're tangled up pretty bad alright." Thadeus proclaimed while taking a seat near by. He pulled out a fruit snack his mom had packed him and began munching on it. "So, how do plan on getting yourself out?" The colt was beyond curious.

ISYKLE
Turquoise eyes narrowed on the colt as he moved around her. Dirt from the failed attempts at gripping the ground dripped down her back legs, or what it could of her back end, settling in thick thuds almost back in place. Head looked over her form once more, taking the time now to really asses the situation. Laughter was foreign to her and she didn't understand the sounds leaving the colts throat. But not understanding did not leave it empty of emotions. A dull spike of annoyance settled deep within her chest, driving her to thrash again once more until all energy at left her.
Body struggled and thrashed, loud angry puffs of air forced from her ribs as the vines seemed to tighten on instinct. Soon she roared, fanged teeth digging into the vine to her right and started chomping away at it. This feeling of helplessness was not welcomed! Nor was being a spectacle for someone else! With one final furious chomp, the filly suddenly watched in slow motion as the vine snapped. Her body tumbled forward, eyes widening as she watched the ground plunge towards her face. Yet, again, the jungle had different ideas. Another vine broke her fall across her chest, yet this time she was stuck in a strange half perpendicular half parallel pose with the ground.
Realizing she had not yet struck the mud, Izzy's head lifted, looking around. Front legs where bared from moving much now besides bending at the ankles and another small noise of fury left her before she hung limp, letting her head drop. Breath ghosted the ground, taking in the thick almost metallic smell. Dirt was useless. "You." Finally her tired words spoke into the space. Stilted turquoise eyes honed in on the colt with his weird protrusions. "Help." Two simple words should get the point across, shouldn't they?
