Undyne Let's sway While colour lights up your face Sway through the crowd to an empty space
x | x Undyne was used to catering to nobles. If one could not meet with his Flamen, then they were (begrudgingly) passed down to one of the many Sanctum Attendants that volunteered at the Enya Sanctum. It was one of the things he had missed from his old job as a seamstress; interacting with nobles and artisans and anyone who was a rung above on the social ladder. They were fascinating, to watch and listen and talk to. So much gossip had been passed down easily to Undyne as he had stitched fabrics together and taken measurements, simply smiling and nodding and adding his own two words when he was invited to.
Working at the Sanctum lacked in day to day contact with nobles, especially at the Enya sanctum. They were more prone to attracting dock workers and commoners of the coast, people who required a gentler approach as they prayed and asked for help. Nonetheless, Undyne’s job brought him great satisfaction, even if it was lacking on the gossip department. But now he found himself in front of a large manor, one belonging to the of Marisol. He knew the name well, and perhaps in the past he had even put together an outfit for one but now he was called for less materialistic terms. Lady Juliet had called for Laos not a handful of days ago, but being the busy man he was Undyne was sent in his stead. When the stallion had learned this he had been quite excited; a real chance to interact with one of the nobility, and a high ranking one at that! Niece to king Solaris and cousin to the late king Amadeus, her name rung many bells in his mind.
Waiting patiently in front of the large manor doors (he had been barely able to knock the heavy brass knocker in front of him) Undyne took the time to regard his outfit of choice. Standing tall and straight, he made sure his ears curved nicely and that his bridal sat flat on his face, highlighting his nose. He adjusted the robe that covered his front and smiled at the reflection in the brass door knocker. One must always dress to impress. When the door suddenly opened and Undyne was greeted by one of the manor’s servile slaves, he bowed his head and stepped forward, addressing himself to the slave. In turn, the tabino led him through the grandly decorated halls, Undyne’s eyes subtly taking in each and every detail. Led out into a large courtyard, Undyne dipped his head at the slave before making his way along the marble path, eyes widening in awe as he stepped out into the large courtyard. It was beautiful, to say the least, stunning marble columns that stretched up, fabric and vines draping across one another and creating a living canopy. The jewel of it all was the grand pool, it’s water crystal and clear and housing none other than lady Juliet.
Clearing his throat to make his presence known, Undyne bowed his head and lowered his eyes before speaking “The sun shines upon you, Lady Juliet. Flamen Laos has sent me in his stead, and sends his warmest regards and deepest apologies.” Undyne kept his head bowed, waiting for the noble lady to at least acknowledge him.

JULIET
The days, weeks, following the events of the party had been hectic, stressful and just downright awful up until this point. A dull ache in her ribs never left her, even after being completely mended by Bale the kirin. Maybe it was residual, a play of her own mind, but either way it was there, grating slowly at her demeanor and causing a more irritable mistress then she was used to showing. Days where spent floating in the pool, barely even allowing her love Romeo close. He was a kirin now, one of the kin who had nearly murdered her in front of all the other equines within the room. The words of ignacio, her god, rang through her ears over and over, mixing with the nearly dead and yet vengeful look of the long lost King.
How could it all have gone so wrong?
Finally, when it was clearly evident that the Eminent could not process this information, the memories in a way that could allow her to move on, she sent word for some help. This could not continue... She was better then all of this, wasn't she? Juliet needed to be able to look at her love without seeing those flashes of memories, and feel the pull of pain and death.
As footsteps graced her ears, the lady looked up, her mane more tousled then normal and thick dark rings around her eyes. She still looked magnificent, but in a completely different way. Though the sanctum helper before her was not the flamen she had requested and tears started to flow. How could these days just get any worse? To feel completely ignored by the sanctum head... Her own cranium shook slightly, hair toppling forward as she let her tears drip into the water around her. "Thank you for coming but I'm not sure if anyone but a Flamen can help me... And if they refuse to see me, surely I am but a lost cause now..." Despair and anguish flowed off the eminent, adding a different set of waves to the room. The sanctum helper before her was stunning and so well dressed but surely if Ignacio could not have saved them from one of his own kin, then what hope did she have that she deserved this life the king of legend had tried to take?
Eminents were finicky creatures.

Undyne Let's sway While colour lights up your face Sway through the crowd to an empty space
x | x Standing before the eminent before him, Undyne was absolutely flabbergasted as she began to openly cry before him. Steeling his face, the only thing that truly gave away his shock was his fins uncurling and his eyes widening but a fraction. It was in that fraction that Undyne panicked on what to do. Obviously, he wanted to comfort the lady and assure her all was well but would she mistake his genuine words for pity? Undyne most definitely did not want to offend the already distraught hippocampus. He would need to tread carefully here.
Standing straight, Undyne let his features and posture relax as he moved towards the lady “My dear lady, I promise you that Laos nor I meant any disappointment, in fact, the Flamen spoke most highly of you” he spoke, his words genuine and for her ears only. He came to a stop just before the edge of the pool, lowering himself to sit along its edge but not touch its waters. If he wanted to help her, he needed to show her that he was ready to listen and willing to be there for her “ With all the peril and chaos that has graced our grand city, all of the Flamens have had there time for Aodh’s people stolen from them.” Glancing down at his reflection, Undyne pondered just what had caused lady Juliet to feel this way. Raising his head, he met her gaze once more “Please, though I may not offer as much wisdom of that of Flame Laos, I do offer myself as someone that you can vent to freely. No words shall leave my lips once I have left your residence.”
Biting the inside of his lip, Undyne prayed that his words would reach her and that she would at least take up his offer of getting whatever was weighing so heavily on her chest off of her mind, at least for a few hours.
