EVENT!Split from Aodh Plot 512: South Commander Mercury, who has always possessed keen intuition, felt a strange dread settle in her chest. Realizing that the supply line’s scouting party had not returned in just long enough for her to feel wary, she commanded a few soldiers to follow her as she went in search of the missing horses. The scouts - Alvane, Fox, Beyond and Nikolas - were quickly found, and for a moment Mercury wondered if she was being paranoid.
Suddenly, the sound of fighting reached their ears. The supply line was under attacked, and from the trees poured more enemies - thieving vagabonds, intent on taking valuables and cutting down anyone in their way.

Alvane was slightly taken off guard at the sight of Mercury and a few other horses following close behind her. “Everything alright?” She questioned. They hadn’t been gone too long. Though Alvane would admit they would have been quicker if they were separate or in an even smaller group. Besides, she basically carried an arsenal on her. Sword, Crossbow, Throwing Knives and Dagger. Anyone would have to be stupid to try anything with her. But they were almost done so that had to console for something. Alvane let Mercury take the front. Leading the scouting part back to the camp. The blue haired mare kept pace to the side of taller Chevalier. They were almost silents trekking back the short distance, But a low rumble could be heard over the minimal chatter of the group. “Do you hear that?” The mare enquired to Mercury. Alvane’s pace went from an open walk to an extended trot and then into a lope as the others sought pace. The group leaped through bush and thick tree’s and quickly exiting the tree line, they could see what all the fuss was about.
A battle had broken loose. Obviously, someone trying to steal their supplies. Alvane pushed past another horse as she went into a forward sprint. Grabbing her Crossbow from her side and an arrow or two. The mare quickly loaded the weapon, skidding to a halt as she took cover behind a large boulder and aimed at the closest enemy she could find. A large mass of a horse stood over one of the few scouts that had come on the voyage. If Alvane was being honest with herself, she enjoyed their company so far. The brut stood on the small mare, pinning her to the floor and threatening a mace in the air. Alvane took aim at the Unicorn. Sticking her tongue out slightly as if it helped any. In moments like this everything around her felt like it stood still. The mare pulled the trigger and the drawstring pushed the arrow forward with an audible snap. The quarrel flew true to the shot. Hitting the brutes mace handle. Causing him slight pain from his teke and making him drop the heavy metal object.
The blue haired mare holstered her bow again. And lunged forward into a heavy gallop towards the assorted mess. The brut was distracted slightly. Perhaps dumbfounded at his weapon sitting on the ground. Arrow still in its hilt. Hickory squirmed under his hoof as Alvane’s weighted steps drew closer, The Unicorn had now caught sight of her. His head swung around quickly, bearing his teeth as she got closer. His mouth lunged at her as she leaped into his shoulder. Attempting to push him off his feet. Seeing as he was already off balance with the horse under hoof. Alvane savagely bit into the stallion, just the same as he was about to do to her. Pushing into his shoulder, his weight falling to the ground and coming away from the mare.

The distant murmuring that came from the camp was ambient noise, That along with the constant sound of nature made Uther feel put together no matter where he was, Even if that was being deployed to war. "You know, I could get used to this" he said quietly with a chuckle, Taking advantage of the quietness that he wasn't used to having; But as they do all good things come to an end, Sometimes bringing hell with it.
Captain Mercury's voice jutted him to his senses, Apparently, she began to get uneasy about the scouts and wanted to find them. Uther walked beside the other soldier she called out to but only directed his attention to the surrounding woods, He got the same feeling that the Captain did but only his wasn't about the scouts. His immediate thought was 'I hope this isn't a bloody f#$%^&* trap..'
Not a trap, But an ambush from no other than the vermin vagabonds that plagued Eithne. 'Cultists?... No, Thieves. Even worse' Uther watched as Alvane let a bolt fly right into the hilt of the mace, "You missed your mark sunshine" he joked before she bolted towards the stallion, while Alvane distracted the brute Uther worked on his own part of the improv attack that he had just enough time to prepare.
Uther studies the trees to find the oldest and weakest one he could, With a leap into the open he galloped just behind the stallion to an old needle tree (pine) that must've been struck with lightning at some point or another, "Alvane, Watch yourself and the scout!" He boomed before kicking the weakened tree down pinning the brute underneath.

Everything had happened so fast, and Fox knew with a jolt in her chest that fleeing wasn't an option. In any other circumstance, she would sit back and wait for the Raiders or Valkyries to do their thing, subdue the enemy with their specialized training.
But now she was only a few paces away from a massive stallion with a stone hammer, who suddenly looked right at her with bright blue eyes and a snarling lip. Fox could practically feel the target burning on her body.
At once, Hickory appeared in her peripheral vision. The Scout was young, still relatively new in her rank, but everyone was needed. The thought of Fox herself being the authority between them made her stomach turn, but there wasn't a choice. There wasn't time.
"Run circles," she hissed.
Hickory gave a quick nod, her lips pressed tightly together, and leapt forward. She was small but fast, and while the hammer could easily squash her with a well-placed strike, it was too heavy to move quickly and Hickory seemed to dance around it. She lapped the brute while he spun and twisted, trailing his hammer behind him in his teke. She could see him grow more frustrated with each fruitless swing. Fox took a quick breath.
Here goes nothing.
Muiris had taught her one skill that seemed to agree with her body in terms of precision and accuracy.
She watched the stallion turn, and when Hickory made a quick switch in the other direction and the stallion took a second to position his massive feet, Fox leapt forward, thanking Kaia for her small stature for the first time in her life, swung around, and launched both hind hooves onto his back end.
It wasn't where she was aiming- she had hoped to kick him right in the jewels- but it was enough to feel a sickening crack in one tailbone and the stallion lurched forward for a second in surprise. That was their second. He grunted and the hammer dropped a few feet, now only a small glow of teke holding onto it
"Grab it!" Fox screamed. Hickory was small and her teke wouldn't be able to hold the whole thing, but their combined strength could knock it away from the area. Both mares leapt backward, out of the stallion's physical reach, and their teke collided on the hammer, ripping it from the stallion's grasp. With a groan and a wrinkle in her brow, Fox smashed the stone end onto the ground, now emitting faint emerald green. Hickory's gold teke swarmed the handle. If they could keep it pinned down, it left the stallion open. Fox glanced to her side, where the huge dreamy Aodhian Chevalier was a few paces away.
"Nikolas!" she screamed. "He's open!"

NIKOLAS After the argument, things seemed to turn out for the better, and they discovered absolutely nothing while scouting. It was for this reason that he found himself slightly confused when Captain Mercury joined up to them with a scout and raider for an escort, as if something was wrong. It was just a feeling, she said. Nikolas was ready to accept that. It was dark and they were in, if not enemy territory, then at least unknown terrain.
Apparently, Captain Mercury had better instincts than he had. Explained why she was a Captain.
The Vagabonds poured out, seemingly out of nothingness. From here, he could hear and even see the main supply line, under attack by a band of thugs. They would have reached them swiftly enough, had some of the ambushing troop not instead fallen on them from the darkness, quickly breaking them apart enough to pin down the young scout, and force Captain Mercury on the defensive. Around him, the others leaped into action. Two of the War Forged, the blue haired scout who had argued with Beyond earlier, and the big brute Mercury brought with her, moved to help their own. They seemed to be handling it, and so the large Chevalier watched his surrounding for a target.
His eyes met a large hulk of a Vagabond, angrily swinging about their impressively large hammer. Nikolas narrowed his eyes, and began to move towards him with grim determination. The freshly freed young scout, and the red scout – Fox, was it? – seemed to have the exact same idea. Every second it took him to close the distance between himself and them felt painfully long, as he watched the two mares spin around the giant vagabond, keeping him occupied at the risk of their own lives.
The giant hammer flung to the side, and the angered Vagabond turned to attack the scouts with his own mass now. At Fox’s call, he increased his pace, tensing his muscles. “Hey!” he shouted at Moss, who turned his head just for a moment, confused, having been too focused on the scouts to even realize they were under attack from a different direction. Nikolas felt a certain joy at the Vagabond’s stupid, confused face as he rammed into them, bringing Moss of balance. As he leaped away from body contact, Nikolas used his horn like a spear, slicing a long wound along Moss’ side, from shoulder to flank. There was a short, passing look at Fox, and then a smile just as short when he saw that the scouts were spared of any serious damage.
Moss made a sound of rage and pain, the scouts completely forgotten, and headbutted Nikolas. There was a grunt and gash of teeth, a pull of mane, and soon Nikolas felt blood on his own neck, from a wound near his hairline. Teeth gritted he locked bodies with the Vagabond, both of the stallions keeping each other trapped, wrestling and grunting in one mess of angry teeth and hooves. It was pretty clear they were at a standstill, but Nikolas saw Beyond from the corner of his eye, and knew that was about to change.

Beyond//:
She had Faith Captain Mercury had not been disturbed for nothing. Chevaliers were no stupid things, and the Captain held her position for a reason. Their scout had been fruitless, but now a group of vagabond muck slithered from the landscape around them. An ambush. Her body stiffened for a moment, but this was perfect, she was already a little pissed-off, now there was someone to take it out on.
She was not at all surprised when the scout and the raider ran to aid their own. A little mule pinned beneath a brute. Beyond did not leap forward immediately, she quickly scanned over the attackers. The most visibly dangerous was a large stallion wielding a hammer, but their were plenty of others who did not look like they were going to stop and have a cup of tea with you. Well, taking down the brawn seemed like a wise choice. The now free scout and another were the first to go after the brute, disarming him effectively. Then Nikolas dived into the fray, it was turning into a messy affair as Beyond drew her golden longsword.
She went straight for the brute’s head, slashing across his face as he twisted his head see the new attacker. A low roar of pain as blood leaked from the gash that ran across his left eye. Now he turned on the grey mare, but he was no trained soldier and she had a thirst for blood right now. He sent his heavy front hooves flying into her chest, leaving a dent and a gash on her lower neck. But that was just what she wanted him to do. She thrust her sword straight up through the underside of his skull and through his head, giving it a last twist as the stallion shuddered. Blood dripped down her face and in her eyes for a moment before the stallion collapsed to the side. A stray hoof knocked her upper leg as he fell, but it left only a small cut as she stepped away from the body. She shook her momentarily disorientated by the blood in her eyes and spat some of the red substance at the dead stallion, it was his own after all.

Vagabonds leaped from the shadows in a wave of destruction, attacking all that got in their way. Fortunately, Liri was pushed aside by a rough raider, but in turn prevented her from getting the full force of an attack by an equally large individual. She landed face first in a large bush less than gracefully, taking a large whipping of leaves against her nose and eyes.
She danced out of said bush, hoping none of her fellow compatriots had seen that.. blunder, but most were occupied already by the attacking force. Everyone was attacking in the dark, teke flying by like arrows in blurs of color. Despite being delayed, Liri wasn't keen on being left out of the action.
Before taking a step towards the fighting however, something clinked against her hoof. Looking down, a shiny black skull grinned at her in what little light was available. A pair of saddle bags as well were near her, she noticed, ones that look familiarly like the ones Mercury was wearing before the attack.
Reaching down with her foggy teke, Liri grabbed onto the skull, intent on putting it back in the bags where it maybe belonged when it burst into flame. Shocked, she stumbled back, flinging the skull to the ground in the process.
"What in Ignacio?" Liri said, watching as legs unfurled from the flames. Or more accurately, legs made of flames coming from the black skull. The skull rose from the ground then, turning to look at the bewildered mare. A hissing sound erupted from it, more a warning than a sign of attack.
That's when it dawned on Liri that instead of some magic unknown, this was a creation of Ignacio. A Furia. "I uhhhh I'm friendly!" Liri cringed just a bit when it drew closer to inspect her, almost like it was trying to... was it sniffing her? That's just weird.
No matter, it seemed like this Furia belonged to Mercury and to Liri the best thing was to keep it from setting the area on fire while it's master wasn't around.
"Well, flame dog, let's go find your master shall we? You don't mind helping me out while we do, do you?"
The Furia nodded, it's skull stuck in a perpetual grin. Despite that, it almost seemed, eager? Who was to know, Liri was a defense expert, not a furia expert.

NIKOLAS Nikolas let go of Moss when Beyond attacked, allowing the smaller but clearly far more savage mare to make quick work of the Vagabond. He did not stick around to watch them die, instead trying to find everyone again. Liri was on the edge of the battle, near where they had been ambushed, poking at something. The other, for their part, all seemed to do fine. He gave his own wound a quick look, but determined that it would be just fine. Nothing a little aid from a medically trained person wouldn’t fix. It was winter too, so the risk of infection wasn’t too great.
Well then. Time to move on. For a moment Nikolas considered joining Captain Mercury in her fight, but then he saw a swiftly moving black and white vagabond – their combat training was clear from the way they moved, and the suspiciously force field like aura’s they held up. Right. Time to take down another threat. It was his duty as a Chevalier of Valore.
Danse looked ready to turn his attention to Liri, or any of the smaller participants in the fight when Nikolas crashed into her. Danse reacted with much more grace than Moss had, simply whirling herself around and bashing Nikolas aside, leaving a bleeding gash on his cheek. If Danse was upset about the death of her comrade, she did not show it, instead attacking Nikolas with vigor, yet not without care. The two of them met again, Nikolas using his sharp horn, to gauge ugly wounds into the sides and chest of the mare, while Danse kicked at him. Their braid whipped Nikolas in the face, and he had to admit that for a Vagabond, they were quite a fighter. The bay smiled with his split lip, giving Danse another jab. The Chevaliers would overpower the mare soon enough.

Beyond//:
Her vision was tinted red with blood of the fallen. She bared her bloodstained teeth in anger, the middle of battle was not the time to loose your vision, even for a few moments. Her ears swivelled in the direction of the unmissable sounds of bloodshed. Nikolas had moved to a new attacker who sounded smaller but my no means less fierce. She blinked rapidly as she turned, hoping to clear her vision enough to get a good view of the attacker. She angled her longsword as a barrier between herself and any unseen attackers. Her vision was clear enough to define the bloody brawling figures, and a strange glowing light. Was that a furia? Momentarily distracted she gave a short, bloody smile in the small chevaliers direction.
The smart mare obviously had a keen eye, something Beyond tended to value in her comrades. While these fights seemed bloody and mindless, far more thought went into them than appeared. She had encountered the flaming creatures by the sides of a few chevaliers, they were worthy allies in battle. The sound of blood-wet hooves snapped her attention back to her comrade. Instinctively she reached inside herself, drawing the blackness that was Ignacio’s blessing out. She had not yet mastered its power and it tended to take a bit out of her, but with a cruel smile she sent a sharp bolt of pain through the attackers skull. While not absolutely excruciating, it sent the patched mare to the ground for a moment as though she had been hit by a hammer. It ran through the delicate insides of her head like a lightning bolt, but she seemed to recover enough to ready herself to fight again.
Beyond grimaced a little at the residual ache from pushing her blessing before quickly shaking it off and turning her attention to the other attackers. Her vision was still a little blurry and she needed to catch her breath after using her blessing. She hoped the attackers would stay away from her for long enough to recover it. She guessed they would go after the smaller members of the group, especially when her face and mane dripped with the blood of their fallen comrade. But glancing at Liri she was sure that lacking size did not mean lacking ferocity.

Seconds after awakening the Furia, Beyond was in the line of fire for a grey black and white mare. Liri had to do a double take for a second there, were those? Yes they most certainly were, force fields, circulating around them.
"Change of plans, fire dog. We are taking this b**** down!" The Furia at her side hissed in agreement, the flames along it's back turning into the roaring of a large fire. Heat radiated off of the entity in waves, turning the grass beneath it's feet an ashy grey in seconds.
"You distract, I'll knock them on their a**." Before she had even finished her sentence, the Furia was off, a trail of fire pawprints showing it's steps. Damn, I better invest in one of those someday.
The Furia ran around the mare, nipping at their ankles to keep them away from the already exhausted Chevilars that they had fought. They flung shields at the fire dog, almost like a moving wall, stopping when they hit something, but the force behind it still transferring to the target.
I can use that. Neat trick by the way, Liri thought, sprinting past Beyond in a blur of brown and white. The moment Liri was waiting for showed itself when the vagabond turned their full attention to the spotlight of a Furia.
She bodyslamed into the vagabond, the only thing seperating the two of them was a sea blue force field and a lime green one. Liri hit with so much force, the other mare, even though larger by far to the spotted Chevilar, stumbled back, their shield shattering under the sudden pressure. That was enough for the Furia to take advantage, leaping on the mare and pushing them the last bit to the ground.
Liri was on them in an instant, now that they were in attack territory. It seemed all the pent up rage from the past year was released in that attack, scoring large wounds along the vagabond's body with her hooves. She even threw in a large chomp on the mare's neck for good measure.
To finish the attack, Liri clonked them in the head with a hoof, rendering the vagabond unconscious and therefore out of the fight. She stopped, turning to look at the other two Chevilars, somewhat shyly. The Furia walked to her side, still with the creepy skeletal grin.
"Best you move on then, fire dog. I'm a bit spent, and I gotta catch my breath. It's tough being short, let me tell you." The Furia growled a response, but since she wasn't a familiar whisperer, there was no way for her to find out what it said, or even if it was something intelligible.
Instead of pondering that though, she better find something to tie up this here vagabond with. Ignacio knows they are going to be furious when they wake up and she wasn't too keen on letting them loose again.

For a moment Uther paused to gather his surroundings, a red gleam caught his eye but to his astonishment, he couldn't believe what Liri just found. He galloped over to them as dhrLiri finished the vagabond she was dealing with, "First of all, What's the fire demon and where the blazes is it's owner??" Uther gave the Furia a puzzled yet curious look, The Furia gave him a wide grin in response before pacing around trying to get its owners scent. It then took off like a bolt of lightning to another brawl that was taking place ways from them.
"Hmph... Babysitting." He burred and took off after the flaming dog, The faithful beast led him straight to "Captain Mercury.." With her busy fighting an unknown but powerful overo mare, he decided his skills were better used taking care of some strays. "Uh... Hell dog, let's go take down some bad guys for your master aye boy?" The Furia let out a ghastly howl that made Uther want to shiver.
The Furia bolted to the target and with a swift move leaped towards the vagabond latching onto its neck (it's super effective) distracting it and giving Uther enough time to charge into the equine knocking them to the ground unconscious.

She didn't stick around to watch Nikolas confront the stallion with the hammer, preferring to not bloody her hooves in the onslaught that followed. Uther and Mercury flashed into her peripheral vision. She leapt in their direction.
She was vaguely aware of Hickory clinging to her side. The poor kid didn't deserve this. This was supposed to be a relatively easy trip to their allies- not involve so much bloodshed. She was probably terrified. Still, they had no choice but to utilize everyone and Hickory seemed quiet but willing to lend aid. Fox prayed she'd still be breathing by the end of it.
A bolt of fire launched itself at the attacker, and Fox had to blink. Uther had fire manipulation? A canine skull bobbed among the flames. Good gods, a Furia. The sight of it made her knees shake, but cowardice was unwelcome in this moment.
"Hickory, hide among the trees, I don't want you to-"
Fox stopped.
Something ominous rumbled beneath her feet, coming from the woods itself. There were more.
"Mercury!" She leapt toward the captain, at the same moment a pale flash exploded from the woods. Another charged from the other side, flanking the captain.
Mercury, true to duty, was on them immediately, squealing and striking. The captain was a prime target and a skilled fighter, but even she was ill-equipped to take on two at once. Fox stopped thinking at this point. She threw herself into the fray, suddenly forgetting that she wasn't a Valkyrie. This wasn't how she would die- this wasn't how they all would die.
Chaotically she swung her limbs around, teeth bared. She tore a chunk out of a vagabond's neck. She thrust her dagger into someone's ribcage. She felt like a savage.
Something sliced open her shoulder, and blood started to spit from the wound. Every move stung, but she couldn't stop.
Couldn't stop.
Couldn't-
Mercury's roar filled her ears. The flash of her sword swung down on someone's neck. Someone's bones cracked. Fox jumped backward to let the captain satiate her bloodlust.
And in the next moment, both vagabond bodies were motionless on the ground.

Beyond//:
The blood finally fully cleared from her eyes and her orientation returned, and just in the nick of time. Her sharp gaze caught sight of another assailant hidden a short distance away. But it was the sharp click of a crossbow that really caught her attention. The equine had obviously seen her as a standing target and was wasting no time in trying to put an arrow through her skull.
Beyond lurched forward, she hated arrows, they were the only thing on the battlefield that had proven to match her speed. She felt the thud of the arrowhead as it lodged in her neckguard. She found her self off balance for only a moment before she was racing off again, now a moving target. She still wouldn't be able to get to the armed mare from where she was. But she knew that there was at least one other equine who could get close enough for an attack, as long as a Beyond could keep the fire off them.
She spun as she heard another bolt whizzing toward her. She wasn't sure whether it hit her or not but she didn't really care either, angling herself toward the archer she was off again. It seemed Captain Mercury had caught on to her technique as she came racing up behind her. The mares passed a quick nod between them before making a confusing zig-zag dash toward the attacker that left her arrows constantly off target but drawn away from the others.

The mare could hear the mocking tone of Uther before she had bolted but didn’t have the time to respond. She could see him in the corner of her eye, obvious he had caught on to what she was doing. It all went so quickly. Alvane grunted as she collided with the vagabond brut. She could feel something crunch in between her teeth. Most likely muscle and skin. The silvery taste of blood lined her tongue and she spat as she realized her jaw. He tumbled to the ground yelping. Yelling in anger. The stallion rolled over and Alvane just heard Uther in time. Alvane turned her tail, Shielding the smaller mare from the falling tree. Standing over her in a protective manner.
As Alvane opened her eyes again the Vagabond Brut was stuck under an old pine. The mare snickered, the sight somewhat amusing to her. The blue haired mare moved off the top of Hickory and began helping her up. Her attention turning back to Uther. “Who said I missed?” A cocky, bloody, smile, burst through her lip before she told Hickory to go help another horse.
She watched as a battle exploded around her. Catching her breath, the realization had finally kicked in. There was a flash of light. And then just agonizing pain. Warmblood soaked her flank and trailed down her leg, making her fall down to her knees. A painful groan fell out of her mouth, blood still staining her teeth as she gritted them. “Shit!” The cuss only heard by her. She could feel the second arrow fly over her head. Quickly she stood back up. Although agonizing it was dulled by the adrenalin. Alvane dashed behind the fallen tree. The brut unconscious now. Then peaked to see where the shots were coming from. Of course, these fuckers had back up in the tree line. She could see the chevaliers, Beyond and Mercury had distracted the archer and she made her move.
The blue haired mare took cover in the tree line. Throwing her hood up to be less seen. She lightly stepped through the brush, but quick enough to stop this bombardment of arrows. The mare slinked up to the two archers. Her dagger drawn. The first was easy to put down, the blade gliding across his throat like a hot knife through butter. A gargle of blood alerted the second, Hespeth tuned to Alvane with spite in her eyes, teeth bared. Aiming for her neck. The unicorn grabbed tight onto Alvane’s throat, making it hard for her to breath. She could feel herself suffocating in this horses jaws. The grip only getting tighter. Alvane in a last attempt grabbed a throwing knife with her smoky black and blue teke from under her cloak. Shoving it straight into the Unicorns neck. A spray of blood, splattered on the blue-haired mares face, narrowly missing her eyes. Hespeth let go, staggering on her hooves and stepping back. Alvane gasped, again falling to one knee, choking and grasping at air.

NIKOLAS After his fellow Chevaliers helped him down Danse, Nikolas took just a few moments to catch his breath, and to spit the blood from his mouth. The vagabonds sure knew how to fight – it was not so much the technique as the ferocity that impressed him, honestly. Looking around, he could see that despite the best efforts of their opponents, they were winning this fight. It was hard to say how the convoy was faring from here, but even if that battle seemed lost for some reason, they could charge to aid them after these vagabonds had been dispatched.
His eyes found the two War Forged who had managed to rid Captain Mercury of her attackers, and the captain then immediately joined the fight, helping Beyond distract a disheveled looking archer. They were a crack shot, certainly, but soon enough one of the scouts had an in, and attacked them. Nikolas heard hoofbeats getting closer, and began to move. Running up to Hespeth, he was flanked by Captain Mercury, and when the archer turned to face them, the two split apart again, circling to the sides of the archer. Uncertain now as to who to hit, Hespeth spun around, then spinning back towards Nikolas, who felt the heat of his new blessing pool around his hooves. It wasn’t that impressive, but enough to set fire to some dry grass and leaves. Hespeth moved backwards with an angry shout, only to be tripped by Captain Mercury.
There was no time for celebration - Nikolas could hear explosions far too close. “Go take care of that maniac!”, he shouted at no one in particular, but his eyes met those of Mercury, and she looked momentarily annoyed, before grinning, locating the vagabond throwing bombs, and charging towards them. Nikolas, now left alone with the stunned Hespeth, was quick to detain her, using a length of abandoned rope to tie her to a tree.

“Go take care of that maniac!”
Fox whirled her head around, only in enough time to make eye contact with the stripe-legged bastard who was chucking small explosives everywhere.
Everyone else was occupied, and the pyromaniac leapt toward her, clutching an explosive in his teke.
Her shoulder stung, the wound was still bleeding, her remaining energy was exhausted, and Hickory looked terrified. But they didn't have a choice. Mercury was suddenly at her side, wordlessly volunteering herself.
In the corner of her eye, Uther's dark form was hovering, and she squealed shrilly to get his attention. She'd have no chance against this maniac herself, but Mercury was here, and Uther was still standing, and he could back them up.
Hopefully.
When the vagabond was upon her, she dodged to his left, kicking her heels in a cat-and-mouse style tease. He wasn't as quick as her, and she put every remaining ounce of energy into twirling around and mocking him with whinnies and squeals.
Hickory had stayed back. Good choice.
But then she realized he got smart, and with anticipating her next footfall he tossed a bomb under her hooves. Caught off guard, Fox tried to scramble back. She tripped.
She fell.
Stones on the ground ripped open her shoulder wound again. She tried to pull herself up with her forelegs, blood roaring in her ears. Mercury shouted something that Fox couldn't make out.
BANG
Shards of metal flew at her legs and belly, and she couldn't help but scream. He leapt closer, another bomb raised in his teke, and with terror Fox tried to stand, but the lacerations on her legs made every move sting like a thousand hornets, and she was spent of energy, and this was how she would die, fighting for her people like a Valkyrie after all, too exhausted and weak to do any damage, lying useless while her herdmates bled around her...

'Well that situation worked itself out!' or so he thought.
Uther cantered over to Hickory who was staying behind for a good reason that he didn't know till it was obvious, His thoughts were interrupted with a shrill and urgent call for help from Fox, Pissed as a hornet: "You mineral sniffin' pyro loving pyscho, Furia, help me go kick his ass!" Uther shouted out as he bolted towards her assailant.
With the impact of a mammoth Uther struck the pony sized equine. He stood up and shook off before grabbing his bag of explosives and throwing them into the open area away from his tele, then sternly he commanded the Furia to keep the stallion on the ground giving time for the rest of the group to trap him. "Now you bafoons' trap this son of a bitch!"
Uther then rushed over to fox "That was a mighty hit you took there, are you alright lass?" He kept close eyes just waiting for the pint sized psychopath to make a move, At the end they'll put an end to all of this.

The mare took a second to rekindle herself. Catching her breath, coughing and choking. Mercury moved off and Nikolas gathered up the Vagabond. Alvane’s legs shook. Her burst of energy dwindling by the second and the pain started becoming relevant. She turned to the arrow sticking out of her flank. Obvious of just how much blood had trailed down her leg. Her teke reached out and snapped the end off it. The mare stood up and paced past Nikolas. Somewhat embarrassed having him see her at her breaking point. The mare moved into a trot, I'll be it a staggered limp. She quickened her pace into a canter, just managing to catch Fox teasing the last idiot of the thievery escipade. Uther running along with the fire beast. Things went South quickly and fox was blown back. Uther charged into the pint-sized menace, catching him off guard. Shoving him and knocking him over. He dropped his bag. A clatter of what sounded like rocks. Small hoof sized bombs filled the pouch. Uther tossed them to the side, hitting the ground with a crack just as Alvane passed them.
Alvane met Mercury's side and together they pursue the striped maniac, Uther moving off to see to Fox. Pyro snapped at Alvane’s legs and kicked out at Mercury. The Chevalier had had enough. She stuck a hoof on top of the ponies neck holding him down and tossed Alvane a line of rope to shove onto him. Alvane almost missed it with her teke. Too focused on her flank. Alvane wrapped the striped ponies legs together with the rope. Hobbling him like they would Alpanas in Warforged. “What's stopping him from taking these off” she hoarsely asked Mercury as Hickory hastily made her way over. For a moment she could swear the Chevalier smirked. “Magic, The same kind we use on Slaves in Aodh. Stops the wearer from using Blessings, Teke. That sort of thing.” Alvane was somewhat bewildered. She had heard that if you broke the law, you’d be trials and sent off to Aodh as a slave. But she didn’t know if that was true or just foal-tale to stop them from being dumb or bad. The Furia slithered over. Trotting up to the Captain and seemed to playfully walk in between her legs looking for praise. All the while Pyro continued to mouth off to them. “Muzzle him, will you.” The captain continued. Beginning to walk over to Fox and Uther. Alvane kicked Pyro in the gut. Already annoyed by his whining. She took a step back, turning to Hickory but staggered on her hooves. The wave exhaustion took over and she struggled to keep herself standing up. Hickory swiftly came to Alvane’s side trying her best to hold her up. But it was painfully obvious she didn’t know what to do. Alvane moved away from their prey and lay down on the ground. Feeling dizzy and weak. She could be heard chirping or clicking while she had her eyes closed as she was beginning to rest.
