Evokar Stone Circe
Voices of others lifted into his ears, but it seemed for a moment the stallion was elsewhere. His mind turning back to those vents. They signed themselves over to Aodh and now the Bloody Flanks were like wisps, here, there everywhere?. It was too much, yet what were the children of Kaia to do? Evokar glanced to the others as they all conversed lightly, small talk perhaps he didn’t know, he actually avoided it for now. Allowing his mind to veer off for a moment, to hop of the train tracks and out into the wilds. This was hard times and it was only going to get more difficult. These horses all of them will pay some sort of price for their right to live to remain, but Evokar wondered what price would that be?
He shook his head before allowing the small chatter to end, it was time to get to business. He stomped his hoof three times to gain the attention of the all that came to this meeting. “Time to bring this meeting to order.” Voice was not loud, but spoke normally to them all, as he glanced to them. “We have two others with us today Noelle and Ritan. We ask that you can describe to us what exactly happened and the terrible fate that was bestowed upon Holmsa” His voice was gentle, yet pained, clearly all of this weighed at the young stallions shoulder, yet he looked to them all wondering their feelings, their thoughts, but there would be time for that later he supposed.

The stallion was silent, watching as the others spoke in hushed tones in the room they had all decided to convene in. His eyes landed on Evokar for a few moments, taking note of the younger stallion's expression before his voice rose above the others. It was strange, so much had happened in the past few months. His father's birthday had come and passed, the War Forged had begun to prepare for not one war, but two, and now...
The stallion flicked his ears forward, curious as to know exactly what was to be discussed. He had heard about Holmsa, had known that the Flanks were on the move... but as to the more important details, he was painfully in the dark. They had assembled horses from across the herd, and yet it seemed as if the sightings of flanks had only gotten worse.
The stallion shuddered slightly, anger rising up in him for a flash before he took in a short breath. His daughter had been hurt by a Bloody Flank, there had been a whisper of them in the southern lands... it seemed impossible to avoid it.
"It'd be nice to know what's happened." He pitched in after Evokar had spoken, eyes turning to the two others that were witness to whatever had occurred. He wanted to know, and he new that he wasn't the only one that did.

M A T E O War-Forged Ambassador
......
If she wasn’t in fine shape before, she certainly was now. The mare felt as though she was constantly being pulled between two worlds. The flash and glamour of Aodh and its capital city of Valore and the rough and tumble of her own herd of War-Forged. Still, she worried more for her young son who was also being dragged between the two places. He seemed no worse for wear, so at least there was that. The Ambassador felt almost out of place among her own, a flashy golden collar, something obviously crafted in Valore, hung around her neck and shielded from view the ghastly scar that was the direct result of an encounter with the Bloody Flanks. Still, she was social and friendly, her years as an ambassador making her quite adept at conversation and the menial small talk that took place before the meeting was called to order.
The mare would shift and turn her gaze to the young stallion, one she had met only briefly before, as he called the meeting to heel with a few taps of his hoof. She took up a place near the Stone Circle members, faces she’d seen and relayed information to many a times, but none that she would count as true friends, and turned that soft teal gaze on the newcomers. These were faces she was unfamiliar with, those she had not seen nor heard of, but she regarded them with the same respect she would any individual she met. A soft, almost motherly, smile graced her sooty features as she waited patiently to hear what sort of news these strangers had as she was equally as curious about what had happened in Holmsa. After all, she had been away and had not heard much on the matter.
As she stood, a sort of mist shifted in and around her legs, floating carefully here and there. It was a presence, to be sure, one she could not get away from and had given up on trying. It seemed so content to linger and, honestly, had proven useful on many accounts. Still, she hoped the others would not be perturbed by the wispy creature. Somewhere in the room, her eagle napped on a quiet perch. For those that knew Mateo, it was not a strange sight, the mare was very rarely without her familiars, and if they weren’t with her, they were with her young son.
Her ears would flick and her gaze would shift, countenance quiet and composed, as the two Stone Circles spoke and addressed the strangers. She would nod in agreement to Edmond, it would indeed be nice to know more specifics on what happened. It was no secret that Mateo held no love for the Bloody Flanks and it seemed their actions in Holmsa, whatever they were, would only fuel a hatred that burned deep within her.

Hawke War-Forged | Stone Circle
She had always felt out of place, and even more so in her first official meeting as part of the Circle, but she steels herself as best as she can. A tired sigh that she has been holding in for a few moments slips past her lips as she tries to get herself ready for the ordeal at hand- best not let too much of my emotions show during this time, she reminds herself.
Hawke watched from underneath the sockets of her mask, made from an equine skull that she had delicately cleaned and restored, her eyes darted from face to face as she took in everyone that was around- taking it those she recognized and those she hadn't ever gotten the pleasure of being familiar with. She hadn't done much speaking, only took a place next to those she was somewhat familiar with as she tried to prepare herself for what was about to come from this meeting.
Hawke snaps her attention towards Evokar when he speaks, her lips pulling down into a thoughtful expression, eyes flashing from the Circle Member over to the witnesses he called by day, and a soft breath of air that she has been holding onto falls from her lips.
Holsma.
The word lingered in the back of her mind as she felt her lips twist down into a deep frown, but most of her displeasure remained hidden and locked away under her mask- something she would later be grateful for depending on how this all played out. Hawke, the young Necromancer, had heard rumors about what had happened there, and just the thought of it made her blood boil.
Her train of thought comes to a screeching halt as Edmond speaks up, her eyes darting away from the witnesses for a brief moment before flashing back. A hum of approval, or maybe was it more of a pained sigh, slipped from her throat as she agreed with his words, best to find out what all occurred before jumping to any more conclusions- well any more than what she had already gained for herself from the whole ordeal that came with the Bloody Flank attack.

Cosmos;War-Forged | Stone Circle if you wish to move mountains tomorrow, you must start lifting stones today As Cosmos felt the humming energy of the elegant room, he had a gut feeling this was another important Stone Circle meeting without the War Lord. Whether that was intentional on Hira's part or not, Cosmos was curious as he assumed everyone else was.
Since Kaia had blessed him with Duplication, Cosmos could literally feel himself tearing in two between the impeding dangers both too close to home and far away from home. War. It was in their name, so it was to be expected after all, but it didn't make the situations any easier to deal with.
As the young Stone Circle member began the meeting, Cosmos as he most typically did, waited to hear what was to be said first before opening his mouth. He had only heard bits here and there, town gossip, about the tragedies that were beheld at Holmsa and his mind begged to fit all of the pieces together. If nothing else, the event told them that their threat was not, under any circumstances, to be underestimated.
Young. The witnesses appeared young and Cosmos hoped they would be able to confidently give them answers. The young typically get nervous around older, respected members of the herd and Cosmos simply wanted accuracy.

Noelle War-Forged Scout
whereve you go, go with your heart The dark mare could feel her stomach twist and turn inside her frail figure. She was just starting to forget the horrid memories of what did this to her. Holmsa.. No matter how hard she could even try, that day will forever haunt her. There hasn't been a night were a corpse that invaded her dreams. It was terrifying enough, and now she had to speak of her a few demons with the Stone Circle. All eyes were on her and Ritan. Unlike him, she could see the people glaring, starring, and possibly judging.
The sound of whispers of the members and guest made the mare look down. Has everything she has gone through making her mad in her head? Her heart was going to beat out of her chest. Noelle started to take deep breaths. "Noelle, now isn’t the time to break down like this." was in her head as she thought. It was the first time she had seen these officials up close. Noelle glanced around the room then saw a mare’s warm smile. Was she smiling at her? No matter, it still brought the mare some comfort. As well as the young stallions voice.
Noelle stayed close to her conrad’s side. She just had enough courage to finally speak up a bit. "G-Good afternoon.. I am Noelle, and a scout. " The mare’s voice was naturally soft and small. Her body was tensed as she tail swished nervously."Ritan and I were sent to Holmsa, along with a team. The fog had just broke when we got there. Our team split to cover more areas in town. I, myself went to the docks. Not a single boat was missing. No one had used them. I turned to midland and I... " She spoke of what she remember then.. The sight of the dead once again came to mind. Bodies were scattered all through her vision. Tears filled her eyes once more. "I’m so sorry.." she managed out and hung her head down. "There was no hope for them. It was like an earthquake shook and swallowed them whole. I will never forget the site. " Tears continued to fall from her eyes onto the floor.

Adair || Shield || Post 1
Well, this was certainly... Different.
After several years working as a Raider in the wilds of Onea, Adair now found himself in a room with members of the Stone Circle, an ambassador, and a couple witnesses to a major disaster in their land. But - apart from them grim reason for their meeting - the young Shield found himself comforted in the hall. He had always aspired to do more for his herd, and, as Edmond's son in all but blood, found himself drawn to his father's work.
He pricked his ears at the witnesses, briefly wondering where Hira was... But despite it being a great honor, Adair knew that, being new to his rank, he would have to prove he was worthy- of it and of Hira's full trust. Thus, he was determined to do his job properly, whatever was requested of him. He stood between the two parties, his eyes flicking briefly to Edmond as he spoke.
Then, the mare, Noelle, begun her account of the disaster in Holmsa, quickly gaining the stallion's attention. Wasn't there where countless lives were lost, and her sister got injured? Adair suppressed a shudder at Noelle's words.

I have a good heart but this mouth has other ideas... Just when Ritan thought he could go home and listen to his spiteful lately departed teacher talk about how damn gloomy it was to be dead, he got called to give an account of what went down in Holmsa. Granted, he must have secretly expected it since he wasn't terribly surprised he was called to be a witness but it was also annoying. 3 months after the incident and they finally decide to ask him what went down. In his opinion, they should have asked the medic first. Dead is dead, and blubbering heartfelt apologies to the bodies won't make them come back. Though, in his teacher's case, that was something different entirely.
Anyways, back to whatever the mare next to him was saying. He hadn't met her personally, but apparently she was with them when they investigated that town of the dead. Must have not talked much, since he didn't recognize her voice either. There were a couple other equine in the room from what he could tell from the talking, but if someone wasn't making much noise, there could be far more. They hadn't allowed him to bring in Abra, since she wasn't a 'material witness' or some stupid nonsense like that. Though, not many knew about his ability to talk to familiars it seemed so maybe they thought she wouldn't be useful.
Ritan waited while the mare gave her account, suppressing a scoff when she couldn't describe the bodies. Again, they are dead, what are you going to say that's going to hurt them?
As she finished, he readied his statement, raising his head a bit. Even though he couldn't see them, they could see him. Even if Ritan wasn't one for appearances usually, he had to be slightly dignified maybe.
"To be more accurate, it looked like the earth had swallowed them whole. There was no evidence of being buried with tools, so a blessing was the prime suspect." He paused, taking in a quick breath, before releasing the most disturbing part of his report. "...They were alive when this happened. Every single town person besides a young foal and Bahar were left to die half-buried in the ground. The foal was drowned from the looks of it and Bahar was beheaded. We found her skull in the square on a pike." 386 words || Ritan | WF Medic || Post #1

Bahar. Yes... he remembered what Ali had said about Bahar, though she had been very careful with her details. Edmond's eyes betrayed his sadness at the recounting of the old Stone Circle member's death, though he stood stone faced as ever. He let out a short sigh and looked at the others. He hadn't realized that she had witnessed the same thing that they had... but now that he had the story, and the realization had dawned on him that his own child had been in Holmsa, he could only feel a heaviness fall upon his shoulders.
"Alisha had mentioned that Bahar had died when she had returned, though she hadn't told me that you had found her head on a pike or anything of that matter..." He paused, sighing slightly. "I can't ignore what has been said, as I doubt my own daughter would lie to me nor would I believe the two in front of us would lie either. What has been witnessed is dangerous... and raises hard questions for us all. What should we do? Who will be attacked next? And most concerning of all... Who is causing such destruction in our lands?"
The stallion fell silent, looking between the other members of the stone circle before turning his gaze to Adair. He briefly wondered if his son was thinking about Alysha, too.

Evokar of the Stone CircleYou know that he will give them everything until there is nothing left of him He looked to the council of the Stone Circle. Watched them as they spoke lightly all wanting to know what had happened. It would be nice to hear it from those that had witnessed this scene with their own eyes. To be able to put these rumors aside and to upturn the truth between the words that had been spread. He nodded lightly to the first that began speaking.
He felt his heart quiver a bit as she spoke, her words shaking and he could feel the pain in her words as she retold the story. It had to be a sight painful to witness. A life changing moment, and clearly it was affecting her in such a way Evokar made note to reach out to her after the meeting to assure it was alright and perhaps to make sure she was well as well. Still he remained silent.
The other spoke up, words precise and swift like the swing of the sword, Caring little if it affected any other in its path. A bit ruthless, but who was Evokar to say anything against it. Still he spoke of things the other one had not. Mentioned how the earth swallowed them up whole. It made Evokar raise a brow curiously, instead of having his features schooled, even though his eyes always betrayed him. Allowing others to almost see right into his soul. Still the mention of Bahar and her untimely demise was a lot to swallow. She was fierce and strong and whatever took her down, he wondered who would it be? While Bahar was a beast of a mare, she was well respected she retired from the Stone Circle. She was supposed to live out her days doing whatever the large mare enjoyed. Instead she was cut down like a rabbit to the wolf. So swift none could react to it, it seemed.
Still it grew very troubling news. he allowed him second to think as Edmond decided to speak first. He mentioned his own daughter retelling the story. Evokar pondered gently to himself as Edmond asked who could do such a thing? A thing so close when they were supposed to go to war against Serora with Aodh. This was such an untimly thing. Still Evokar turned to the two that spoke. "I thank you for coming here and telling us what you have witnessed." he nodded to them faintly. "I must ask such as Edmond. Do you have any idea, or have heard what could do such a thing to War Forged?" Evokar asked gently. Surely there had to leave a trace of who was behind this. Anything, it could not be as if it appeared and disappeared in blind sight. Right?

A part of her felt for the young mare as she began her account of the events as she’d witnessed them, certainly it was a hard thing to see within the boundaries of one’s own homeland. In times of war, such sights could be cast as normal, but when one expected peace within the cold borders of Onea, well… She maintained her gentle smile, striving unconsciously to be a source of comfort. Her gaze would shift as the other spoke, she noted his tone, the slight shift in his stance, and noticed how he seemed to frown upon the other’s version of the tale. Her time as Ambassador to Aodh had made her quite adept at picking up on the nuances of a conversation. Her smile flicked briefly as they spoke, finding his wording a bit distasteful given how the event seemed to affect the mare. She reminded herself that this was not Aodh, the War-Forged, Ignacio bless them, were much more straightforward and rarely danced around the subject.
The Ambassador shifted and the mist that had been weaving in and around her legs filtered away to form a ghostly canine that placed itself there at her hooves. She looked down at it with a frown, having never been a big fan of dogs, but shrugged. “As you all know,” Mateo began, referencing the reports she typically gave to the Stone Circle and to Hira about her trips, “There have been instances of vagabonds attacking patrols and convoys… There was also that event with the pirates some months ago… Still, the sinking of the town seems extreme for both parties…” Mateo trailed off, thinking back on the rather eventful trips she’d taken between the city of Valore and home in recent months. Her gaze turned back to the two, hoping perhaps they might have some answers to the questions posed.

Hawke. "It's the witch's fault."
WC: 310 | Post #2 Hawke's lips turn down into a deep frown, eyes darting between each person that speaks- taking in whatever information she can. The one called Noelle seems to choke on her words, and a twinge of pain and pity shoots through Hawke's being as she tries to understand what it might feel like to see and experience something as awful as what was told in the rumours that have floated around, and the young Circle member gives a soft smile underneath her mask as her attention is torn from the darkly coated mare to the stallion.
Ritan, well to put it lightly, he frankly did not have any trouble relaying what they had seen on that fateful day, and Hawke's face turns up in disgusts- having been a medic for several years, she knows the smell of blood and decay all too well and at the mention of Bahar's decapitated head, the smells overrun her senses. She tries not to dwell too long on the foal that had drowned, knowing all too well the way a body looks after such a horrific death, but luckily for her others begin to pipe up and it offers a moment of distraction for her.
The hasty covering of an entire village seemed a little extreme, Hawke thinks to herself, and it's almost as if her thoughts are read as Mateo pipes in that even for Vagabonds, Hawke's nose turns up, would be a little extreme. The young mare nods her head in agreement.
"Vagabond or not; it seems like someone wanted to make a point," Hawke muses, mainly referring to the beheading of Bahar and how it had been displayed. This is all that she voices on the matter, turning her attention back to the witnesses, deciding it would be best to hear more before voicing anything else.

At some point in the conversation, the quality of the stone floor… shifted.
Evokar would have been the first, perhaps only, to notice it, to sense the faint change from inert, cold stone to… life. Faint, but growing, stretching forwards… stretching up. Then, a pause.
"Vagabond or not; it seems like someone wanted to make a point," Hawke said.
And then the ground erupted. A bone-deep crack split the tense, stale air of the room, followed rapidly by another marginally less loud crack. The entire room shook, dust and loose chips of stone raining down from the ceiling and obscuring the gathered equine’s vision. But when the tremors faded, and the last bit of rubble had fallen with the last soft clink, the gathered equines would have been unable to miss the silver glow that suddenly suffused the room, gentle but persistent- even Ritan, blind though he was, would have noticed the change, the glow visible not just to the eye but to the mind, the soul.
It would also have been difficult to miss the massive silver trunk of a tree that had erupted from the floor, grown straight through the middle of the table, and out of the roof. One of Kaia’s Silverwood Pines, it’s bark faintly luminous as with the pale needles that spread out over the room, filling the area with the spicy, sharp scent of pine. Though there was no breeze, the boughs of the tree swayed slightly, the needles whispering as they rasped against eachother, the branches creaking.
You must seek the truth, mortals. The whole truth. Balance requires full understanding, complete truth. You must have balance.
No words were ever spoken, not words as the equines might have defined them. The voice instead consisted of the brushing of needles, the shifting of wood and stone, and the information was delivered directly into each equine's mind, arriving there complete and without any passage of time.
Be strong, my children. Stand together. Seek balance…
And then the tree went still as the presence faded from the room, leaving silence and a ruined room in its wake.
Hira was going to be pretty annoyed.

Forget about Hira. Edmond was far from impressed by the display, though he was more than certain that killing the tree with his own blessing would only cause more problems. Letting out a short, if not frustrated sigh, the stallion shook his head. Balance. What did balance have to do with the situation at hoof?
However, Edmond was no fool, and this wasn't his first time encountering a being that had more... to them... than the average mortal. He knew that if this was Kaia, as he could only suspect, that she must've had more to the puzzle piece, but that didn't mean that he wasn't frustrated or annoyed or... well... any of the emotions that were running through his veins at that point in time.
The silence seemed to last a lifetime. Stretching between everybody as the tree stilled and... stayed... in the center of their table.
"Well...." The stallion began slowly. "I don't think Hira's going to enjoy the new décor... Could you imagine what would've happened if we were using this for battle strategy when this happened?" He tried to bring a sort of light to the problem, but couldn't really get the amusement or annoyance or really any emotion to exit his mouth.
Honestly, he was just confused. "So... any thoughts on... what She means?"
Gods, this was all sorts of weird.

Hawke. "It's the witch's fault."
WC: 403 | Post #3 Hawke, well frankly, she doesn't know exactly what is going on as her eyes go wide- shocked and confused about the tree that seemed to sprout out of nowhere. Then that voice... It seemed familiar and like she has known it once before. Was that Kaia? She squints at the tree, a soft smirk playing on her lips. I'll be damned, she grunts. She doesn't quite no where to begin about what all this might mean as there's nothing that is coming too her right away that might lead to what She means- obviously other than someone not being truthful about what happened and who they truly believe did it.
She glances over to Edmond, the first to speak after the sudden eruption of the tree. She grunts at the light air he tries to bring to the situation as she studies the bark of the strange tree, "Well, if anyone feels like getting rid of it..." She glances around the room, "Feel free to take it up with Her," She puts more emphasis on her last word, chuckling softly under her breath as she knows there's, most likely, not a single soul in this room that would dare to get rid of that Pine; if that had truly been Her voice that had just shaken them all.
"Balance," She mumbles mainly to herself, chewing on her bottom lip in thought. Deep pools of blue glance around the room, studying each face as she tries to piece together what on Hireath she might be trying to get across to them. Maybe they aren't seeing the full picture? Are they too scared to admit who they truly think did this? Would they really put the blame of Vagabonds?
"Did they leave any signs of who might have done this?" She speaks, openly. Underneath her mask, her eyes glance towards the witness. Were they not sharing something curical to this whole ordeal? Or was She just trying to show them in the right direction before they went too far down to wrong path. "She seemed to hint at that we don't know the full truth yet. Or maybe we do... and we just aren't sharing it."
Would she be shot down for her open thinking? What did it matter? As long as it got to the bottom of this then... She'd would speak everything on her mind.

I have a good heart but this mouth has other ideas... Despite being blind, Ritan could definitely feel the tension in the room had changed. But you know, that tends to happen when a goddess speaks to you. The silence after the deity's words was piercing and absolute. Until someone made a fabulous joke about Hira not liking the new decor.
Now, even Ritan had to admit that was a little bit funny; not in the least the best time but pretty funny nonetheless. He snorted a bit, but kept his commentary to himself. Best not let any words get back to their esteemed leader. He'd heard that she wasn't quite the most humorous of individuals.
Another spoke, a mare this time, asking the question most were probably already thinking. It wasn't directed at a specific equine, from what Ritan could understand, but more a question for anyone who knew the answer.
"Well, what does the skull on a pike mean? That might give us a clue as to who did this. I'm no expert on the clans or whatnot, but someone must know more than what they are letting on..." He trailed off, hoping someone could enlighten him. Clans and their symbols were definitely not his specialty. 197 words || Ritan | WF Medic || Post #2

Adair || Shield || Post 2
Adair was silent, quietly keeping to his post as a guard, and perhaps, as an extra pair of eyes and ears for his War Lord. He was somewhat proud of being able to contain his emotions, and not let what he was hearing affect his actions.
Yet he almost wished he didn't have to. Hearing Noelle's and Ritan's account of what had happened in Holmsa... Clenching his teeth, he couldn't help but remember that Alyshia had been there. Wasn't that the whole reason he had hoped to get this job? Adair hated sitting around and letting others get in danger, or worse, killed like those innocent villagers.
He caught a glimpse of his father's eyes, and felt a similar feeling echoing in him. With a tiny nod, he grunted softly and turned his eyes back to the witnesses.
The meeting proceeded, some pointing that it might have been vagabonds but it did not make much sense with what they used to do. Adair's mind was stuck in two details: the bodies looking as though they had been swallowed by the earth, and the skull on a pike. Certainly the latter was the clue they needed to figure out the culprit- it was clearly left there as a sign. But Alyshia had mentioned more about this skull...
Adair wasn't able to finish his thought, as suddenly, a something burst into existence before them all. Startled into action, the Shield had moved forward to stand by the other horses, tense and ready to react to act if this turned out to be some sort of trap. His eyes flashed flame-hot for a second, before his mind was filled with words. It immediately calmed him down. The... Presence, whoever it was - and Adair was sure he and the other horses agreed that it was no being of flesh and blood - spoke briefly, before fading away again.
It was almost as though waking up from a dream.
He scanned the room, trying to make sure everyone was alright. The Stone Circle, ambassador, and witnesses immediately begun to discuss the goddess' words, and Adair, drawn to it, did not return to his place by the corner of the room.
"Balance..." He echoed, lost in thought. "With those strange mysteries happening in our land, it feels as though it's our own herd who needs balance. Maybe the answer is not another faction but within our own borders. Perhaps Ritan is right, the traces left behind simply don't match the style of vagabonds. Then again, they also don't match any Clan I can think of..." He hesitated for a brief second. "My sisters, Alyshia and Addeva, were in Holmsa as well. Alyshia told me she recognized the symbol on the pike. Oh, and she said it was... It was Bahar." He contained a shiver, unsure if this was common knowledge or not but deciding to say it regardless. "Anyway, It was very much like the one she saw when she stumbled upon a camp of Bloody Flanks."
There was a pause. "But... Assuming for a second it was the Bloody Flanks who did such a thing, why would She speak of balance?"
Adair blinked, remembering where he was. He calmly let his question stand, but wondered internally if it had been appropriate of him to speak at all. Taking a step back and going back to simply watching, he shot a glance at his father. Was there anything else the witnesses hadn't mentioned? They didn't say anything about the flag like Alyshia had. And Adair trusted his sister, they had spent years reading and researching together when young. He didn't believe she had made a mistake.

Evokar of the Stone CircleYou know that he will give them everything until there is nothing left of him For a moment there was silence, yet something felt off to Evokar. Something of life seemed to tickled at his hocks, as if saying here I am, here I am. Eyes glanced downwards, confusion stretched on his face. Suddenly a tree erupted from the middle of the table and with it, came troubling words. Instead of jumping away from it like others, Evokar took a faint step back and marveled at the tree before him. It was not the first time he had encountered tree sprouting up like nothing.
Yet the words remained echoing in his mind, find balance and the only way to have it, was to know the truth of it all. Something was clearly amidst here in War Forged. Something was not going right, or well planned, others began to spoke and Evokar remained looking outwards, his eyes looking to a place perhaps no one else could see.
Someone mentioned the Bloody Flanks and Evokar was quick to whip his head about. The Bloody Flanks, gods its been so long, a mere tale to children now. But so real still for so many. If it was the case, if th Bloody Flanks had returned and they had sworn to war, this could be ill for them all.
One asked for why and it was clear why. "We all know why the Bloody Flanks would wreck havoc on us all. Taken down from power, and cast out to the lands of nothing but ice. For so many years they had been out there. I can only imagine their anger towards us has grown as bitter as the coldness there. If the Bloody Flanks are here with us, they choose a terrible time for us. Any time we can be called for war to help aid Aodh." Evokar paused shaking his head for a moment, his mind bursting with thoughts and plans, his gift whispering to be used to take them all to a place within his mind, but he calmed the voice with a shake of his head. "Still we lack balance, we are missing an important part to all of this, but what?" Evokar looked to the group, he cared little for the tree, and would dare anyone to be rid of it. if it was like the trees he had witnessed before it could mean death for those that try to destroy it.

Her lips pull down into a deeper frown, if her face had been completely visible the look of confusion and irritation would have been apparent on her face, but luckily for her, the skull mask that she wore hid her expression from the world around her.
Its the mention of the Flanks that cause her first real emotions to be shown. Her ears swiveled back against her neck and her teeth rub together in annoyance as she glances around the room. Everyone had heard the rumors of them being back, everyone had heard the faint whispers of the Flanks returning. And if this was true, it probably wouldn't be long before they turned to Skeldr Town and sought out the War-Lord. She makes a soft disgusted sound, obviously displeased with the words that had been spoken but she is glad that some finally mentioned it so that she wouldn't have to be the first one to crack and claim the Flanks had done this.
She had heard what the claimed leader of the Flanks had done with his Necromancy and it made her stomach churn at the thought. How dare he use something gifted to him in such a way. How dare he bring more tarnish and misjudgment towards Necromancers. He took his blessing and had turned it into a way for others to fear him more, and that's what angered her. It angered her to share a gift of Kaia with him. Hawke begins to open her mouth, to let her opinion on the matter fly out into the open, but Hira's words rang in the back of her mind so she was quick to shut her mouth. You are young, and a mare. You will have to work twice as hard to get half as far, and you can never, never allow your emotions to guide your actions or words, not without considering the implications. So with those words resonating in the back of her mind, Hawke straightens herself out and lets her blood cool before she speaks.
"Balance..." Hawke tastes the words on her tongue once more, staring intently at the tree in front of her, "Does one or the other have the upper hand?" She wonders, glancing around the room. "Unevenly matched. Something along the lines of that?" She is mainly talking to herself at this point, but her words are loud enough for others to hear.
Frankly, nothing she was saying could even begin to be right. There was no telling what Kaia meant by saying such things to them. But certainly keeping one's thoughts to themselves would get them nowhere.

The stallion took a few moments, listening to those around him until something struck a nerve. His thoughts about balance dropped away almost at once as his adopted son reminded him of the events after Holmsa, how Aly and Addy had both returned to tell their brother the tale. They had tried to be quiet, talking in hushed tones behind closed doors so that dear old Dad wouldn't have to worry about them.
But he had heard. He had listened to the recounts, had remembered the stories about the Bloody Flanks. He had grown up at a time that their symbols had been seen around every corner, the hanging head that was now known to be Bahar's striking yet another nerve within him.
He let out a long breath, trying to hide his anger, until he realized something that only made his anger worse. He slowly turned his gaze towards the two horses that had explained everything to him, baleful eyes blazing with an unknown ferocity.
"You were at Holmsa, and yet after everything, you have yet to explain the situation. You saw their symbol, witnessed the aftermath of an entire city's destruction, and yet you do not tell us the truth." He snorted angrily, the leaves on the newly sprouted tree shaking as his anger grew, vines seeping across the ground from where he stood. Never in all of his life had he ever felt like this, not even when he had fought with his own stubborn wife. "You were asked to speak before us, light our path, and now all I am learning is that I would've gotten a better firsthand account from my own daughters, mere children, than I would have from you." His eyes focused in on Ritan, before he took in a slow breath, the vines still tangling beneath his hooves.
"I want a full account, I want to hear a clear version, because I cannot believe you have told us everything correctly, let alone told us the full story. If there is anything that is imbalanced here, it is the fact that you have been giving us incorrect information." He stopped once more, stomping his foot to the ground. "If we are to handle the situation up here as well as down south, we must find our ground. If we do not have the right information, there is no way to prepare."
And then it dawned on him, though he wasn't sure that he had the full story or any kind of understanding, but that seemed to be the point. "We lack balance in our forces. There are horses down south fighting and yet we left ourselves dangerously ill prepared up north. If there are Flanks fighting on our shores, killing our people, we must find a way to save ourselves as well as keep our alliance strong... or sever the ties completely to avoid the destruction of our herd. If whomever attacked is as strong as they seem to be, we are in much more danger than we thought we were."
Hira needed to know this. Gods, why was she never as these meetings!!!!? Edmond would need to have a talk about her attendance... or really lack thereof... to her own council's discussions.

I have a good heart but this mouth has other ideas... Ritan blinked. Or at least, he thought he did. Honestly, it was hard to tell because everything was black, no matter what he did. Must have done something since what sounded like a large stallion started attacking him with questions, ones that he had no way of answering.
Damn man, didn't have to get all touchy. How the hell am I supposed to know what you want to know? You're asking questions to a blind person, it's not like I can describe the color of the sky that day.
A mention of his daughters though, something about them being there as well, that was odd. Which ones were they? Why didn't the Circle bring them in instead? Asking a blind man to describe a massacre is like trying to describe sound to the deaf. But, Ritan figured, I better try at least a little. I could at least do them that. But I'm not going to let him live this down. That's for damn sure.
"You are asking someone who cannot see, to describe something that can only be described through sight. What you are asking is impossible, so I will tell you what I heard from the others who had come along for the trip."
"One mare, I believe her name was Alyshia, nice girl, her familiar not so much, she helped me a bit with what was going on. From what she said, all the buildings were sunk into the ground, like when you drop something in tar or honey. It could be earth manipulation or something else, but the grass wasn't disturbed like you'd normally expect with that blessing. That's all that we knew. Oh also, did I forget to mention, the bodies were like that too. Half-buried and stuff. From my quick look-over of the bodies, I'd say they were there from a few days to almost a week like that."
"And I don't know how relevant this is, but there were also hoof prints everywhere. And I mean everywhere. Everyone was talking about them, and from what I gathered, they all came from the ocean. Another mare, no idea her name, but she found a bunch of equine bones and skulls in the nearby forest. She said something about barnacles or whatever, which suggests that they came from the ocean, and in turn, might be the cause of the odd hoof prints."
"I think that's it. Is there anything else you'd like to ask the visually impaired or have you gotten enough secondhand information yet?"
Ritan huffed, pinning his ears back in annoyance. The nerve of this guy, I swear.

Evokar of the Stone CircleYou know that he will give them everything until there is nothing left of him Suddenly a Stone Circle Member Edmond was angry. His voice heated as he called out for a better recall. Evokar did not flinch at the rising of tension as he once had before. Being around and working with Bahar had made him grow used to the sudden outburst of energy. Still no was not the time to be angry, now was the time for them to seek the answers to Hira's words.
Evokar shook his head as Ritan spoke out, and he huffed a bit. This was not going well. Stone Circle was the voice of the people, the people should not feel oppressed or pressured by them, but use them as a way of communication to others. Yet as Evokar listened to Ritan, he found a shiver run down his spine, making his mouth almost go dry.
Buildings were sunken down, bodies half buried as if phased through. He did not think a gift of the phasing sort was the right one of this kind of power. He felt his brows tighten, gods if this was the case if where his train of thought was leading him this would not be well. Being blessed earlier with the same gift he wondered if it could be possible.
"What you are implying is something very dangerous indeed." He gulped faintly as he shook his head. "What maybe a possibility, but having myself blessed with the something makes me wonder if perhaps one of the flanks have it as well. The ability to shift and manipulate reality." he paused glancing at them. "Clearly if this is the case this user is a force to be reckoned with. They could change everything in their favor." he eyed them all and sighed. "If this is all true and my theory is correct. I too worry for the sake of War Forged."

Noelle War-Forged Scout
whereve you go, go with your heart The dark mare could only feel useless in this matter. The trip was a nightmare for her. It was so hard of her to speak the demons that destroyed the small city. Noelle has become a sensitive soul since then. She looked up to see eyes on her as she raised her head. It was comforting to see Mateo's smile. It help brought warmth to her fridge spirits. As Evokar spoke, she bowed her head then raised it. Noelle voice silent as she listened to the members speak among their council. Her ears listened closely.
As she was about to ask a question, Noelle felt the ground erupted. The crack noise rattled into her ears. The mare saw the dust and small rocks scatter in the air. Noelle was puzzled. "What on earth is going on." Something was telling her to look up. She left a warm presence. Noelle was a new follower of Kaia, and to see and hear such thing brought tears to her eyes. "My Goddess Kaia, we are thankful for you presence. " She adored the tree, and it would be a shame if they had to harvested it. Cascade just previous of coming blessed her with Ice manipulation. She could possibly get rid of it, if it was a must.
The word balance kept repeating over and over in her heard. She tried to make piece of it herself. Noelle looked up to feel and hear Sir Edmond angry as he let his anger out on the two, more towards Ritan. Noelle cleared her throat. "Sir Edmond, I do not mean to sound out of line, but please do not let out your anger on us, let alone Sir Ritan. He did the best he could with what he was given. As I stated before, I am a scout of out country War-Forged. My main duties it to help provide maps, and key shortcuts. My first mission has honestly scarred my for my life. After what I saw, I couldn't push on. I saw the child and the rest I can't remember. We are doing the best to tell you what we encountered. " Noelle wasn't one to get heated, but she felt like he was pinning her follow member of the scouts. Noelle listened as Ritan spoke of what he heard. The only blessing I can think of is Necromancy.. Those bones must have been in the water for ages since they had barnacles. Noelle could only see the horrid site in her thought. It sent a chill down her spine.

Well… that was surprising. Mateo remained where she was as the great tree sprouted and burst right through Hira’s table. She wouldn’t be pleased with that, not in the slightest… oh well, at least she could make a new one out of the tree. Fair trade, right? Balance, right? Somehow, Mateo doubted that was what the voice of the goddess meant by balance, but she still chuckled at her own joke mentally. All joking aside, the Ambassador turned to each as they spoke, listening intently as they mulled over the possible meanings behind the message. It was an interesting message, to be sure, but she didn’t have a clue as to what it could mean. As the Bloody Flanks were brought up more directly, Mateo’s smile faded and was replaced by a scowl.
“The Flanks are trash, they all deserve a painful death as far as I’m concerned…” She snapped, her loathing for that particular clan of pirates plainly obvious in the way she spoke, the way her whole figure seemed on edge, the way smoke puffed from her nostrils. It took her a moment to simmer, closing her eyes and calming herself. Her hatred for them was too much, at times, it was hard for her to be reasonable as far as they were concerned. She shook her head and nodded as Evokar spoke once more… yes, if they shared the same blessing as Evokar, it certainly would be a force to reckon with… it would be bloody, bitter, and if they were not careful, many lives could be lost in the struggle.
“You might be right, Evokar… We need to proceed carefully from here, use our best judgement or I, too, fear for the War Forged…”

Cosmos;War-Forged | Stone Circle if you wish to move mountains tomorrow, you must start lifting stones today As was normal with Stone Circle gatherings, back and forth was had and emotions were all over the place. Cosmos, as normal, didn’t feel the need to speak unless he had something to contribute, so for the meantime he let the others speak ahead.
As the accounts were retold, Cosmos felt himself correct in thinking the witnesses were too young as their emotions unkempt. As he pondered their words Kaia made herself known. A great disrupt in the air brought with it a grand sign from their Goddess. The tree was magnificent and a sure sign they were in Kaia’s favour.
He would treasure any moment he heard Kaia’s voice, first with a blessing and now helping guide their way to truth. He pondered Her words just as much as the others, although some questions burned at his mind. As Evokar spoke, Cosmos felt he had rightly thought out his questions. “I am right in believing you were blessed once more by Kaia, Evokar?” He asked the stallion with curiosity as he added things up in his mind. “If that is so, perhaps Kaia is aiding us with truth, perhaps one she has blessed is no longer using that blessing in Kaia’s favour. Could it be that Kaia is guiding us to fight more severe battles at home? Although necessary, the War in the Sand no longer seems as dire as losing everything that was fought for.” He spoke strong, but his heart sank as their herd was left with more decisions to make. Whose battles came first? Their own with a building threat or those far away, if not fought losing allies and crucial trades.
