As you lay your head down to rest, your dreams would have been normal, black even. But this night they are not. A horse comes to you, one you cannot place, do not recongize. As you wake, you cannot remember their features, their description fades. But it was clear they wanted something of you. That they were trying to tell you something which you do not understand. With this on the forefront of your mind, you head towards the edge of Sterling, trying to make sense of what you think this horse told you about.

Jasper woke up in a sweat, his wings flailing around as he figured out his bearings. He realized that he was no longer in that dream world, that not-place, but instead in his room above his store. All he remembered was the figure, speaking in words he can’t describe either vocally or visually. But there was meaning behind what the figure was trying to convey. And that came across just fine. A sense of urgency, of a need to find something, anything. This feeling pulled towards the edge of the city, and that is where he must go.
Oddly, even though he knew it was illogical to follow this feeling, that sense of foreboding followed him as the city of Sterling woke around him. There was only one thing on his mind, and it was to find the place of this feeling.
As he reached the edge of the city, he ran into others who were out and about. Oddly enough, most of them look confused, maybe even a little frightened. Could it be? Others who had the same disconcerting dream as him? No, that can’t be right… but there was only one way to make sure.
Jasper cleared his throat, breaking the silence that had fallen upon the gathered equine. “Are you all here because of the dream?”

Dew | Tie "A little kindness can get you a long way in this cruel world." WC: 206 Post: 1
Dew gasped, waking a frenzy. She was breathing heavy, trying to grasp the last strands of her strange dream. Nothing stayed with her, other than the absolute urgency and a slight tug of where to go. She tossed her blanket aside and went through her small shop. Even with her mane still slightly disheveled from a restless night, her braids had held up. The pale coated mare locked her shop up, not wanting to come home to see animals in her shop. Once was enough. Her pale blue eyes swept about, looking to see if anyone was going in the same direction. She easily caught sight of a pegasus and kirin that seemed to be going the same way. She flicked her ears towards the stallion, as he’d asked a question. “I do believe,” Dew commented, answering his question. She was still a bit shook from the dream, most disturbed by the lack of details she could grasp. She shook out her coat, trying to get rid of the foreboding and urgency of the dream. The older mare wished she could remember more of the details. Even if it was just the voice of the one that had whispered to her in her dreams.

Shigure
They made you into a weapon and told you to find peace
Dreams were easy, dream come and go, but not this night. No for his dreams where not like the others, it made him uneasy it made him restless and the worst of all. He awakened drenched in sweat and the memory of the dream fading like wisps. What was the meaning of this? Shigure was quick to get out of bed, his mind trying to trace over the dream, this horse he could not recall, words that seemed jumbled in his mind. A quick spark to his mind, he thought would help, but it did nothing but hurt a little. Failure.
He moved quickly to clean himself up a bit and was quick to head out, heading towards something he was unsure of, but it seemed his hooves knew the pathway all he did was keep moving. Shigure found himself with others at the edge of Sterling. Someone asked about the dream and another agreed. He looked at them all and felt panic rise in his chest. Others had a dream? Did they perhaps recall it? "Do you even remember the dream?" his voice calm, but there was a pain in it. As if not remembering it himself made him feel as if he had failed in a sense. But how? How was he supposed to recall when the dream evaded him like a wisp? Never fully grasping always slipping from his hooves. His eyes looked to them, his mane a bit shaken as he tried to calm his racing heartbeat. There had to be a reason for this?

Shaggy hide matted with perspiration and chest heaving with every strained breath, Ciel’s sleeping body slipped off of his bed and bundled itself onto the carpeted floor. Blankets cascaded down the side of the bed, and a poorly-balanced pillow tilted slightly in the wrong direction and fell onto Ciel’s back. In the end, it wasn’t the dream, the fall, or even the pillow that woke him, but a rather large and messy sneeze coming from his very own nasal passages which finally urged him to get up. His muscles ached from laying in an odd position on the floor, and his eyes felt dry and burned from lack of sleep. Sluggishly, he made his way into his bathroom to clean himself up and at least try and look presentable before opening his surgery for the day. He scrubbed and rubbed at his face, but still couldn’t rid of the ill air about him. Letting out a groan that gurgled from the depths of his throat, he pressed his forehead against the mirror, closed his eyes, and stood still for a full moment, trying to recollect the thoughts he lost since waking up.
Concentrating on his thoughts, he shivered when the face of the figure he saw in his sleep passed through his brain once more, distorted and warped. It seemed the more he tried to make out their features, the more tessellated and distant they became. Trying to find an explanation for this… odd dream, he chalked it down to nightmares caused by the illness he was close to overcoming. “Bloody hell,” he half-shouted at himself, disappointed that he’d let himself feel unnerved by a dream of all things- they’re meant to be weird, so why should he get so worked up about it?
Yet he couldn’t shake the visage from his consciousness, no matter how much breakfast he ate. After his third serving, his hooves seemed to walk on their own. He found himself absent-mindedly walking toward the large double-doors, fumbling with the lock, and stepping out into the open streets of Sterling. The crisp, cold air of morning filled his lungs quicker than the morning chatter could reach his ears, but his feet wouldn’t allow him to stand there and take it all in. Still half-asleep, Ciel found himself leaving his live-in surgery and doing something he never thought he’d do- take a nice morning stroll. He wasn’t thinking about what he was doing. He just did it. Exercising was a foreign concept to him, and a hated one at that, and those on the street who knew him well pointed the spectacle out to their friends and had a good laugh. He walked with a zombie-like look in his glazed eyes, ignorant to everything, until he noticed a small group were going the same way as him. He tried to sneak a quick glance at their faces- just in case they were from his dream- but a voice broke through the metaphorical brick wall blocking his ears, and he found himself at the edge of his beloved city.
“Are you all here because of the dream?”
Ciel reacted to this quite late, and not knowing who the voice came from, just replied to open air and hoped his voice would reach the enquirer.
“I dunno,” he said very loudly, as he didn’t know how far away the horse was, or which one they were. He heard people agreeing with the questioning horse, and a question from another horse was flung about, but his mind was too scrambled and tired to piece together anything. “Oi, but dreams can’t make horses move now, can they?” was all he could muster. He swallowed, feeling his sore throat ache at the action, and looked around with half-lidded sky blue eyes, eyelashes obscuring his view.

Ozzer | Outsider - Guide
Ozzer lay still on the cold stone of the cave for some time, simple mulling over the dream he had just had. Or... trying to, anyway. It seemed the more he tried to remember the details, the more they escaped him. But what lingered was a pull as if his tremor sense was working backwards. Instead of feeling the ground, it was telling him where to go. There was something he must do, that was sure, but what it was he didn't know. After everything that had happened recently he wasn't surprised. He had consorted with the Seroran ambassador. Reopened the Temple of Argus with High King Hajime. He all but sighed in resignation that apparently the gods thought him useful, though he would have been happy to just wander the tunnels with Daisuke. He shifted his head now so that it faced his son, sleeping peacefully next to him. He draped his head gently over the colt, and smiled to feel him shift sleepily. But there was one thing he remembered very clearly from the dream. Daisuke was not to accompany him.
The jack wasn't sure why, but he would not question it. The colt would not be happy to be left behind once again, but Ozzer's path could not include him right now. He knew where to go, but the road ahead was dark. He closed his eyes for a short time to enjoy the quiet breathing of the young zedonk before waking him.
Ozzer left Sterling with a heavy heart, though he knew that Daisuke would be fine with the acquaintances who had agreed to keep him until Ozzer's return. They also had a foal, and so the colt would not be lonely. He would also get to attend school for a short time, and Ozzer told himself that it would be good for him. But it didn't make his steps any less heavy. Thankfully he still had Radar - the fox bat riding sleepily on his saddlebags at the moment - and a familiar figure ahead that pulled him from his thoughts.
He smiled at the small stature wandering in the same direction. He found it odd though. What little he knew of the doctor he didn't seem like the kind ot be out strolling, but soon Ozzer realized it might not be coincidence. Here was another going in the same direction. And up ahead a small group gathering. The gods certainly never sent horses out alone, he supposed. His lazy steps picked up a little as voices started to pick up and he gathered that they were all here for the same purpose.
"They obviously made you move, Ciel," Ozzer teased, catching up now to the doctor and giving him a familiar nod. "Perhaps sometime we can run into each other on just a regular day."
Turning now to the other gathered equines, he looked at the ragtag group. "I do not remember anything, no, but I assume it was the same dream. There was... someone... And they told me I had something to do..." he shook his head, his words sounding ridiculously vague. His ears laid sideways nonchalantly. "All I know is in which direction to go, and that's enough for me."

♕ S O P H I A ♕BREIM | OUTSIDER
Sophia had been lost since the day she burst into existence. The young kirin had no idea where she was or even who she was for that matter. She was stuck in a labyrinth of tunnels with no hint of way out. Everything looked the same and the only sign of life she had encountered so far were disembodied voices bouncing of the rocky caverns. She often wondered if she were dead and being punished for the life she had lived before.
However, not long ago, Sophia had reason for a little hope. For the first time in days, she had slept long and deep enough dream, and with the dream came a vision, or more so residual feeling that came with the vision. When she awoke, the feeling drew her in a direction which she followed until she sensed the presence of other beings.
As she drew closer, Sophia began to make out the voices of several equines.
"...because of the dream?.... "
"....I do believe..."
"...Oi, but dreams can’t..."
"...Do you even remember..."
"...All I know is in which direction to go..."
Sophia's heart pounded as she inched toward them. They seemed to be talking about the same dream she had. Were they lost too, like she was? Would she finally not be alone in this hell?
The kirin peeked her head around the corner but was horrified to discover, the equines were nothing like her. They came in all shapes and sizes but none of them shared her marvelous antlers or scales.
"Demons." She whispered as she drew back into the shadows.
What was she supposed to do now?

As soon as Jasper had asked the question, most of the gathered equine started talking. It seemed he had broken the silence and prompted them to speak, which was fine, but they also didn't seem to be taking turns with asking the return questions either. He sorted through their voices, latching onto the small ponies words, as they ended up being the loudest, drowning most of what the others said out.
"No, I don't think they can. At least, not like this." Out of the corner of his eye, a figure ducked into the shadows, too fast for him to identify who or even what species they were. No matter, odd equine tended to wander the tunnels and Sterling was no different.
One other equine mentioned that he knew the way to go, which prompted Jasper to reply. "Would you mind leading us? It seems you know these tunnels better than most."
It seemed like the rest had only responded to him because he had asked the question that they all were wanting answered. Hopefully though, they would see reason and realize he knew no more than the rest of them and that the only way to learn the answers were to keep moving forward. Notes: Jasper is referring to Ozzer to lead the way

Shigure
They made you into a weapon and told you to find peace
More seemed to gather and Shigure found himself wary, what was to come of this? Dreams more then another had dreamed? This was quite curious, unnatural in the sort. What was truly happening among them. He wasn't to sure and felt the urge to send an electric current coursing through his mind to see if he can seek it out. Was it a malfunction of the mind, did they all have some sort of stress that made them persevere this dream as the same? Stop now is not the time to get lost in wonder and thought.
Jasper spoke of allowing Ozzer to lead the way and it wasn't as if Shigure could disagree. It wasn't as if anyone else was coming out with a better idea. "Yes lets leave and perhaps we all can find some sort of answer?" he offered a light smile before dipping his head allowing the others to take the lead. He had no desire to lead this band of equine. He was a healer of the sort, and exploration of the mind and its capability. It was always best to sit batch, watch and listen.

Ciel couldn’t stop himself from grinning at Ozzer’s every word, despite feeling horrible and clogged on the inside. His joy at seeing his friend in such a strange situation bubbled up in his throat and released as a loud, hearty laugh. However, the donkey’s last words to him were soaked in almost immediately compared to everything else he witnessed that day. Perhaps sometime we can run into each other on just a regular day. Those words coming from Ozzer’s mouth- of all horses- made the magnitude of the event worm its way into his brain. The only other times they had met were on important days- days where lives were threatened or the equity of the herd itself grew thin. Knowing this, a sliver of fear in his gut grew, but was quickly extinguished by remembering Ozzer’s presence. He had gotten Ciel out of all of those tight situations, so he was confident that if anything went wrong this time, he could count on Ozzer’s long ears once again.
Suddenly rejuvenated with life at the promise of adventure, he sniffed the mucus escaping from his nose back up to where it came from and flicked his ear.
"Would you mind leading us? It seems you know these tunnels better than most."
Without allowing Ozzer to answer, Ciel puffed out his chest, stepped forward, and did it for him.
“O’ course he will! He knows these tunnels better than the back o’ his own two hooves! If you put your trust in any donkey, it should be good ol’ Ozzie here.” After making sure his voice was known, he turned his head back to Ozzer and winked, a smile still plastered on his face. He was determined to pay back Ozzer for his gallant duties in their previous meetings in the way he loves the most- making sure everyone knows how great he is. He almost pranced on his way to the entrance of the labyrinth, spinning himself around suddenly and halting.
“C’mon, ladies first,” he chirped, nodding at Dew and Jasper with an eyebrow cocked. "And Ozzie, o' course."

Dew "A little kindness can get you a long way in this cruel world." | WORDS: 209 | OVERALL: 415 | POST: 2 | Dew flicked her ears to the short stallion’s words. He spoke loudly, as if he wasn’t quite sure where everyone was. She looked everyone over, thank goodness she wasn’t the only one that looked quite disheveled and rudely awoken from their slumber. With her paying attention to those around her, rather than speaking, she caught the words the donkey spoke to the shorter one, chuckling softly. While she was looking around, her blue orbs wandered from the group. Her eye caught sight of the kirin, but the equine disappeared almost as quickly as she had appeared. From what Dew could tell, the pegasus had also gotten sight of their shadow, but probably not as clear.
Dew looked to Jasper as he spoke again, mentioning for the donkey to lead them. That seemed to be sensible, she hadn’t really seen him around, but she felt she could trust him to lead them down the right path. A hearty laugh from the pony surprised her, but she only flicked an ear at him. She scoffed lightly at his statement. “I do believe I’m the only mare here,” she corrected Ciel, looking to him with her bright blue orbs. “The bright pegasus is a stallion.”

Ozzer | Outsider - Guide
Before Ozzer could accept Jasper's request, Ciel's voice broke in, answering for him. He couldn't help but duck his head in a smile, too humble to truly take the compliment. He nodded to Jasper and Shigure, eyes flickering to Dew as she corrected Ciel's mistake. He suppressed a chuckle. While he certainly would continue to feel Daisuke's absence, it was nice to have a familiar figure with him on this journey. Particularly one that was nearly as loud as his son.
"I would be happy to accompany you." The donkey didn't say lead - for this wasn't like one of his usual guide trips. While he knew where his feet were leading him now, who knew how long it would last. They might get two days journey deep into the labyrinth, and the feeling go away. He couldn't tell. But at least he would be able to get them home if they were to lose the trail.
"As he has said," he flicked an oversized ear at Ciel, "my name is Ozzer. I'm a guide in these tunnels. Thankfully the tunnels around Sterling are well marked, so travel should be easy-going. At least at first." He couldn't say for certain where they would end up. It was a difficult feeling to describe, even if he were talking to another blessed with tremor sense. It was not like anything he'd experienced before, as if the path ahead were marked, but by feeling rather than sight. As if his hooves were being lifted by him, but directed by an invisible force. And he could really only feel it step by step. So, as Shigure had said, the only way to figure out this mystery was to continue forward.
Ozzer passed Ciel, headed towards the tunnel entrance. Subconsciously he noted their footsteps with his. The shifting of the earth. The faint footsteps of those behind them in Sterling. And light, almost creeping footsteps of another equine in the tunnel ahead of them. He made sure to take special note of this, but thought little else of it. So close to the city it would not be a surprise to find another traveler coming in or out. Perhaps it was even someone else who had the same dream and had gotten a head start.
"So no one remembers anything about this dream?" he reiterated. "The figure... I feel like I know the face, and yet at the same time I can't recall any of its features."

Shigure
They made you into a weapon and told you to find peace
Perhaps he couldnt help it, but chuckle at Ciel as he talked to the others. A little flamboyant thing he thought. Thoough it seemed the group was all coming together. He had to admit, they worked well despite being all brought together about a dream none of them truly remembered. Still Ozzer spoke out about leading them through and Shigure for one was thankful for that. Even though he lived her all his life, it seemed he was found mostly in his place of work. Healing and trying to understand the mind more, it seemed he lost much urge to go out and explore. A shame truly.
"I really dont remember much honestly. I remember enough to know someone spoke to me, but I can't recall the face, nor what the horse spoke. But still it seems like I need to remember or recall the words." Shigure sighed a bit. "Odd that we all experienced this, I have to wonder what it means." Shigure walked along following in Ozzer's hooftsteps as the group made it on wards. Eyes glanced to others wondering if perhaps one of them could recall more of this dream or a different part.

The others started talking among themselves, though it was mainly about the dream. Most of the questions were about the figure itself. Who was it? What did they want? What did they look like?
Idly, Jasper followed along with the group, though he ended up being not in the front, but more towards the middle back. He was no leader, that he knew. He made swords and arrowheads, not decree decisions. Though, he had to admit he did end up kind of taking control at the beginning, when everyone was confused. Everyone was talking and demanding answers, neither which he wanted nor had the ability to respond to.
His thoughts were interrupted by the sparkling of something in the tunnel ahead, bright and shiny. Had someone lost a piece of jewelry?
Instead of finding a broken collar or anklet, evidence of loosing something accidently, Jasper was greeted by crystals of every kind, rainbows bouncing between seams of golden metal and diamond white. It arced over the top of the tunnel, tapering to an end far above their heads.
And from that far reaching space, bats erupted, dropping themselves onto the travelers in a flurry of leathery wings and squeaks. A few got caught up in Jasper's hair, but he wasn't scared of them like other equine were. It was just a small mistake of theirs, not something he could control. It just kind of happens.
"Everyone alright?" he asked, checking behind and in front of him at the others. With a start, he realized he had done it once again. Taken a leadership view on the group was oddly becoming a habit today.

Ciel struggled to keep himself around the head of the band, his adrenaline and excitement pouring out of him by the second as last night’s broken sleep caught up to him. Slowly, his hooves began to drag, and his pace slowed little by little until he found his place at the rear, eyelids heavy and occasionally fluttering closed. The words exchanged by his herdsmates fell upon deaf ears once again as the rhythm of hoofsteps lulled him even more. His neck lowered, his tail fell, and he was ready to fall asleep standing.
However, that lasted until a bright light burned into his eyelids and roused him with a start. His muscles tensed and his eyes widened, ready to witness the bright flame of the dragons that the Aodhians brung, but was pleasantly relieved to find beautiful technicolored light of natural crystal formations. Sniffing snot back into his nose, he picked up his pace slightly, but still walked slow enough to casually enjoy the spectacle set before them, now placing himself behind Jasper. He watched in awe as the colours rippled across Jasper’s already bright wing feathers, mixing with them and bouncing back off as entirely different colours. Ciel was transfixed, breaths hitched and heart pounding. He was concentrated on drinking up as much of this sight as he could- this was what adventuring was about, after all. A pleasant nostalgic feeling washed over him, and he felt kind of nice, despite being tired and sick.
“…This isn’t bad at all, eh?…” He remarked breathily, mostly to himself. After a few more moments, he wished he could take that back as bats poured from the ceiling and cut through the air, making him jump a mile out of his skin. Whilst muttering a few vulgar curse words, he went purely on his instincts and dove underneath the closest horse- in this case, Jasper- and ducked to the ground, tucking his body in so he was as small as possible and hid his face behind his hooves to protect it. He visibly cringed as he thought he felt one touch his leg, but he wasn’t sure. Muttering “I hate bats,” over and over again like a mantra, he stayed there, statue-like, until his cue to get up sounded from above him.
"Everyone alright?"
Without acknowledging the whole ‘use Jasper as a shelter’ thing he just did, he quickly darted out from underneath the pegasus and shook his coat, trying to shake all the ‘filth’ off him that touching a bat for a second put all over his body like cooties. “O’ course I’m not,” He shouted, but upon realising that there might still be some bats hanging up there he lowered his voice. “I bloody hate bats. They’re filthy, flyin’ rats. Ozzer, why didn’t-“ … you hear them up ahead. He cut his sentence short, shaking his head and closing his eyes tightly. The lack of sleep was making him grumpy, it seemed. Catching the glint of the crystals again in the corner of his eye, he broke away from the group and begun scavenging for a loose one to take home. Finding none, and lacking the tools to chip one away, he sighed and moved along, scooting to the head of the group again, checking if the space was clear of bats. “If anyone needs medical aid, I’m your stallion,” he yelled over his shoulder rather half-heartedly, double-checking and triple-checking the ceiling space, brow knitted and visibly shaken.

Ozzer | Outsider
Ozzer plodded along, listening to the chatter behind him and responding when needed, but it was just that. Chatter. The same kind that he might get from strangers that he had been paid to guide through the tunnels. He didn't mind it, but in this instance he was disappointed. He had hoped someone might remember something about this strange dream. It ate at him, and he grew silent as his mind wandered.
It wasn't until they entered one of the brightly colored caverns that he removed himself from his thoughts. His ears twisted around, pleased to hear that the rest of the group had gone largely quiet. He loved to witness others' reactions to the tunnels. Perhaps if Breimians could see the beauty of the tunnels they lived in they might not be so afraid of them. They were something he saw on a daily basis, and yet they could still take his breath away in their brilliance. His eyes shined upwards, wishing once more that Daisuke were with them. The colt appreciated the glittering tunnels as much as he did.
And suddenly the ceiling exploded in little furry bodies. Radar awoke suddenly from his saddlebags, and squeaked just as a rush of bats flew past them. The jack simply stood still, squinting through the flapping wings around him as he waited for the bats to pass. His own fox bat took off in a flurry of excitement, swept up by the smaller, tunnel-dwelling bats. Once they had passed Ozzer shook himself to rid his coat of the dust that the bats had dropped from the ceiling, and turned to survey the others. Jasper asked if the group was alright, and of course Ciel had to come in with his theatrics. Ozzer's brow flattened at his friends tone about the bats, and he looked up to Radar, who was now fluttering back after leaving the other bats behind. Completely oblivious to Ciel's derogatory words the bat, too riled up now to settle back on the saddlebags, landed on the wall. His little claws clinked faintly on the gems as he climbed gracelessly along the uneven surface.
Though Radar took little notice of the little stallion's words, Ozzer could help but catch that almost accusation. He knew what Ciel was going to say - why hadn't he warned them? He had heard the little bodies. Their shifting little feet. That was nothing to warn anyone about. But normally he would have felt the slight grip in tension as they prepared to let go, the mass of tiny bodies vibrating against the stone in brief suspense. But he had not felt it. With the surprise of the dropping bats having passed he suddenly realized there had been a blip in his tremor sense. As if it had turned off and back on in that second. This had not happened in a long time, not since he had learned to control the blessing, but everything seemed fine now. He could feel everything that he normally did. The donkey could even feel the colony of bats they had disturbed settling back onto a ceiling a mile back down the cave. But he could no longer feel the pull that had led him. The trail, however it had come to him, was now gone.
Ozzer was not immediately worried. He could lead the group back to Sterling easily. But he hated to tell them that any lead they'd had to the dream was now gone.
"I've lost the trail," he said bluntly, turning to face the group. "I don't know if it was the bats, or what, but I no longer can feel where the dream was leading." He shook his head, disappointed in himself. "If anyone else has any idea about where to go, please take the lead, but otherwise I can take you all back home." He added the last part, quick to dismiss any ideas of being lost in the tunnels that might worry the others.

Shigure
They made you into a weapon and told you to find peace
Others spoke on and Shigure for once prefered to listen for now. Thankful no one hear really knew him that well, or the trouble of his blessing that followed in wake. Even though he worked well with his gift. The horses of Breim do not forget the horrors of Ignacio. Still he enjoyed this for a moment, he felt in a sense normal. Well as normal as one can be when everyone had some crazed dream and cant recall much.
Suddenly bats were out and their was shouting and all Shigure did was duck down hoping the pesky little things would pass over him with ease. He was thankful they did. Eyes opened faintly as someone asked if everyone was alright. "I'm well off." he remarked as he stood up shaking his body, his cape wavering behind him as he did such. Yet another voice shouted out and he could feel the tension rising and he glanced between Ozzer and Ciel, as if there was some hidden language between the two. Still he looked awya, it was not his buisness to pry. Yet when Ozzer mentioned what to do now.
Well Shigure all could think was returning home and going back to bed. "Perhaps it was an fools chase? Perhaps a dream is merely a dream." he remarked with a roll of his shoulders. He wish a bit to return to bed now, perhaps they all got carried away for nothing.

After running his eyes over the bats’ former perch over and over again, he finally concluded, with immense relief, that there were no more flying rodents lurking around above his head. The tension in his muscles subsided, his breathing slowed from sharp, greedy gulps of air to his normal breathing pace, and lightheaded dizziness washed over him. And his legs shook. What in the-? His legs seemed to twitch and shake entirely on their own, as if they were sentient and hadn’t completely recovered from the shock. He stomped his foreleg to see if that would do the trick somehow, the clang of his horseshoe sounding through the cavern, but it didn’t help his case at all. Trying to self-diagnose himself, he felt for his pulse and evaluated. And so, he came to the conclusion that he was tired, stressed, grumpy, and needed to rest for a while. He even thought he still heard a bat squeaking, but that was probably the fatigue talking.
"I've lost the trail," "I don't know if it was the bats, or what, but I no longer can feel where the dream was leading." "If anyone else has any idea about where to go, please take the lead, but otherwise I can take you all back home."
“Bloody perfect,” He muttered, though not entirely in response to Ozzer, but also at the prospect at being able to kick back and relax whilst someone else does all the work for him in figuring out where to go next. Widely yawning, he placed his hooves as best as he could to look normal, shakily stepping toward the nearest wall, and plopped himself against it. However, to his surprise, he fell right through it, and only realised when his body had hit the solid ground. Everything was quiet for a second, signalling the calm before the storm.
Within a moment, Ciel exploded into curse words and begun writhing around on the ground, over-exaggerating his condition after falling. “By Argus’ nine dicks, I’m bloody sick of-“
Once again, he was quiet, figuring out where he was wasn’t where he was a moment ago. Flashbacks of a similar situation echoed in his mind, but he chose to ignore it until he realised it held the answer. Last time he was trapped like this, despite how embarrassing it was, he failed to move the boulders out of the way and had to go the other way. Heeding his past experience, but still hopeful about going back the way he came, he looked over where he fell through and found nothing but a solid wall. He sat himself up, propping himself up against the wall, a bamboozled look about him as he squinted at the wall and remained silent as the gears in his head tried to figure out what just happened.
