Riviera | Mare | Magi
It had been the start of any normal day; Riviera had awoken, bathed and dressed in her cloak as she normally did, farewelling her family and heading out to the temple early. The streets were near empty as she quietly flew above them, winging her way over the calmness of morning till she was able to find a suitable place to land outside Argus's Temple; the spotted mare gave a silent sigh as she headed up the steps, and in the massive doors... at first she was just content to go about her work, stopping to pray before setting about tidying
She hadn't been working long when she noticed afew others enter, the it hit her, she had completely forgotten that she was supposed to meet with a messenger of the High King alongside the Temples preist, Haruka, amd afew others. Haruka was nice enough, especially to her but sometimes shed catch a glimpse of a far off look in his eyes and couldn't help but feel that sometimes she was the same; she envied his position and even though she knew she wasn't good enough to take up the stead should he leave, she still couodnt help but want it never the less. She slowly made her way over to a pretty unicorn mare wearing saddlebags, she seemed to have been the one who had summoned them here. She stood with the mare then as they waited for afew others to join them and from the looks of it no one even had a hankling of what exactly she wanted of them

Perhaps there were other things she wished to occupy her mind with, but order are orders. Skadi had awoken and bathed just as she so often did. She dons her cloak, extravagant but an appropriate level of modest. Then she begins her journey note in hand, ready to greet the faces of the priesthood. Admittedly she wasn’t overtly familiar with most, her disinterest in religion made her a visitor to the temples only occasionally. Nonetheless, she saunters towards the temple with the tip of her tail twitching. Once she steps inside she takes inventory of those who might have arrived. With a single exhale she peels back the cowl of her cloak and lets it rest at her withers. “Greetings,” Skadi says to the mare she sees present and offers a dip of her head in appropriate greeting. “I do believe it will be safe to wait for others to arrive before reading the message.” She says and keeps her expression placid and serene and her eyes watch, waiting for others who might come spilling in through the doorway.

Saira hummed as she walked towards the temple. The summons had been simple enough, though she knew not why she was summoned. The temple was impressive as ever as she walked towards it, pausing a moment and looking up at it. It was a gorgeous building, though she lamented to herself how little time she actually spent at the temples. But, that was her job. To travel and bring the temple's services to those who couldn't go to the temple. She loved her job, as it allowed her to travel the tunnels under Sirith, and meet equines from all walks of life. The children especially were joys to meet. But still, as she started to age, she found herself not traveling as quickly as she used to, and slower to leave a settlement for the next. Perhaps she should think about retiring from her traveling position to take up a position in a temple? Ah, but not for a while yet. For now, she's quite happy and able to continue traveling. It was a joy to do so, after all. She shook her head to clear her thoughts, heading into the temple. She immediately spotted the pair of mares already waiting in the entry hall, Skadi, the High King's messenger, alongside another pegasus like hersellf... Perhaps a magi of the temple. "Greetings." She spoke with a small smile, her wings held closed at her sides. "How many others were summoned, if I may ask?"

Casius;Breim | Priest Kindness trumps all, except when it doesn't Butterflies fluttered lightly in Cascade's Priest's stomach. So far in Casius' experience, a summoning didn't call for good news. Explosions, unexpected births and kirins... There was only so much Cascade could do for the Priest.
Casius walked up the familiar steps to Argus' largest shrine, a place he occupied only weeks before. He gave a gentle smile as he entered and saw Haruka in his rightful place at the heart of Argus. His time as Argus' messenger was brief but meaningful, he certainly held a new appreciation for Haruka and Breim's dedication to their patron God. He tapped his hoof twice to those gathered, completed by "They have seen us meet. I'll admit, dear King's Guide, you have my curiosity piqued." He told the grey mare. With those words spoken however, the butterflies grew a little more restless. It was the first time a summoning had involved those other than Priests, to which Casius hoped meant the situation was not a dire one.
He took in the Monk and Magi with careful contemplation, were they handpicked by the King? Or simply dedicated enough to carry the message they were soon to hear?

Judith | Priestess of Kaia There was a stillness in the air, a sense of calm Judith had not felt in a long time. As the small mare made her way up the steps of the great Shrine of Argus, she breathed in the chill that surrounded Nariah. From here the city below seemed quaint, fragile, as if one could simply stamp out its light and make it as if Breim's grand capital never existed. So much tragedy had fallen upon her once peaceful city, so much destruction. A fleeting thought of her own daughter cross Judith's mind followed by a sharp pain in her chest.
The mares breath sent light clouds of silver into the cool air. There was no time to dwell on the past. She had been called to a meeting of the Priesthood's and their followers. The King was to send his Guide to them with a message but of what, Judith was uncertain. Making her way to the top of the stairs, the pony pushed open the heavy wooden doors and was greeted with the faces of the others in attendance. She dipped her head to Skadi in passing allowing the words 'they have seen us meet' to cross her lips as she hurried to her spot.
"Good morning Priest Casius," she nodded to the stallion as she moved into a spot beside him. She had not spoken with the others since the day she had called them to her temple to meet her daughter. Many had stayed away since, with even fewer worshipers and magi returning to Kaia's sacred grounds. It was a sad realization for the mare, that little may change in the near future. Not while Kirin were still sprouting up everywhere.

Skadi first turns her head to address the pegasus. Her head turns towards them as her tail remains a rhythmic twitch. “All of the priests and priestesses and the disciples have been called,” Skadi says simply, “I believe there to be six of us to meet today in total, including myself.” She falls quiet, waiting in anticipation for the others to come flooding in and it would not be long before another priest comes through the door. “They have seen us meet,” Skadi says returning the gesture and studies the new face, slowly trying to gauge this social gathering and what sort of game they might have to play. For once though she prays that her herd might see reprieve from the strenuous months and their lives can settle into a quiet normal for at least a little while. “I certainly do not believe that I will be a harbinger of bad news on this day.” She says, not normally one for optimism but at times positive thoughts are far sweeter than that of reality. As a priestess passes through the doors Skadi offers a greeting back and then decides to pull the message out and carefully unrolls it. “Now let us see what this message says,” Skadi says as her eyes methodically look over the sheet with careful intent in her eyes. That grey face remains unreadable as her eyes narrow ever so slightly and take in the contents of the page. “So, it appears as though there will be a royal family wedding.” She lets the page return to a rolled up state and she watches the group for their reactions. “I have been assigned to oversee the preparations and the priests and priestesses are wanted in attendance and for the efforts of the planning process.” There is a smile that ebbs on her lips to maintain that charming air she puts on. “So it seems my dears, there is good news.
THE TASK: With the announcement of this event it is time to plan out who is in charge of what Post: 2WC: 324

Haruka - Priest (Argus' Largest Shrine)
It was a small relief that the meeting would happen on the very steps of his own temple. He awaited the others inside, hidden from the streets and wandering eyes behind the large wooden doors. His head moved from one spot in the room to the next, ears twitching and swiveling a top his head to every sound, every little whisper. Clear, misty eyes settled on the equines that began to appear, slowly trickling into the room that he awaited in. Haruka had greeted each and every one of them with a deep bow of respect, knowing them all to be his fellow priests and priestesses, company that he was more than eager to welcome. He knew they were brought here for an important message so once it seemed like all of them were present he turned his head towards the guide bearing the message. The words that reached the priest's ears certainly weren't ones he was expecting, but he could agree that it definitely wasn't bad news - certainly not bad news at all. "My nephew plans to marry?" The question slipped out unintentionally and Haruka quickly caught himself by clearing his throat, shifting his weight awkwardly onto his two front feet. "I spoke too soon, forgive me. This is regarding Hajime, yes?" That was perhaps the question he should have asked first. His dark lips formed a small smile. After all that happened in the last several months this was more than just good news. A wedding was something worth rejoicing. "Good news indeed.."

Riviera had kept herself very quiet for a long while as she waited, only offering a small, barely noticable smile to the unicorn who greeted her, the same sort of greeting offered to anyone else in passing as they arrived for their summons. She however offered a lower bow to Haruka, her Priest before the King's envoy finally told them why that had all been gathered... and by the light of Argus it was a shock. Haruka was the first to speak his surprise before she herself was able, his shock pulling away at him manners for a bit before he caught himself and returned to speaking proper Now she took a moment to speak, pulling her ears back in uncertainty, "A wedding?" She enquired slowly, casting her eyes off to a priestess who she had heard been called Judith. For most a wedding was very good news but in her experience it wasn't always, she had been forced to marry her beloved Husband out of shame, her mother using the union to keep their family name from being disgraced... it wasnt all bad however she'd actually grown to like the stallion over the years. "I'm not sure how good of news it is" she added quietly, "Mine own wedding was a grand affair, think of the work that would need to be put in for one of Royal caliber. I know little to nothing about planning one... I didnt even plan my own... how could I be of any assitance in such a great matter as this?"

Judith | Priestess of Kaia A wedding, and a royal one at that. A light smile graced Judith's lips as Skadi continued to read the summons. Such a grand affair would definitely lift the spirits of Breim and many would come from across Sirith to witness it. But before the small mare could ask to whom the wedding would be for, Haruka beat her to it.
'Hajime...' The young king's betrothal would be a sight to behold and bring hope to many. However, he was still so young. Most heirs would not marry until their 20's and be crowned closer to 30. Hajime was only 18. Judith's brow furrowed in concern. Did it not concern the Royal Family that all of this was too much for such a young King? Or perhaps the marriage was not for Hajime at all. Perhaps another was to be wed. One could only hope.
"A wedding?!" Riviera's voice cut through the awe that had settled on the gathering. "...think of the work that would need to go into one of Royal caliber..." The magi had a fair point. Skadi and the rest of the Royal's had given them little time to prepare for such a grand affair meaning the idea was likely thrown together in a hurry. Still, if all the Shrines of Nariah worked together, two weeks was definitely doable.
"Lets not fret," Judith chimed in. As Priestess of Kaia's shrine, she had dealt with many weddings before. Kaia was a goddess known for love and her connection with lovers. It was her specialty. And while Royal weddings have always taken place at Argus' Largest Shrine, the pony mare knew she could lend a hoove in the smaller details.
"As Priestess of Kaia, I know well enough the planning of weddings and love. If we stick to what we know, we can surely make this even one the Royal's will be proud of. My shrine grows any number of flora throughout the year, so I can easily provide the arrangments and decore."

Saira smiled at the news. A royal wedding was certainly cause to celebrate. "Two weeks is little time... I'm afraid the only help I can offer is... Well, help." She chuckled. "Letting the entire herd know in two weeks... Skadi, do you know if any other messengers were sent to the Point and to Sterling? The farmers would also need to be informed..." Saira trailed off. There were a lot of horses who needed to be told, and a lot of horses she knew would be upset if they missed it because they didn't know about the wedding. "Besides that, we need someone to handle food and drink, the music, and of course, ensuring the safety of those in attendance. After the last few months events, I fear that if we are not prepared, something may happen that we cannot handle." Saira added. She was truly worried about the safety of the guests for this event. They needed to have this event not have anything go wrong. For everyone to know that everything is fine. That they were safe in their homes...

Skadi can sense a mixture of shock and excitement. She gives them time to process her announcement, to let her words sink in before her eyes drift to the first priest who asks questions. After a moment she reviews the document, scouring for a name and then she lifts her gaze back to the priest. “I am afraid there is no way for me to disclose who the wedding shall be for,” she says, “as I do not have any knowledge on who is to be wed.” A puzzling state of affairs but she decides not to question the matter for te moment. There is a task set at hand and they have to plan. Another magi decides to comment and Skadi resists the urge to quirk a brow at the mare and her seeming skepticism at the idea of a wedding. She resists the urge further when the mare admits ignorance on how to plan a wedding.
“It will take every bit of cooperation,” Skadi says, “so I am certain we will be able to find a place in which you can assist efficiently.” She then turns her eyes towards Judith and there’s almost a sense of relief that washes over her at the idea of someone who is aware of what they are doing. The guide holds back biting comments and disguises the mild irritation swelling in her chest behind that charming smile she’s too gifted at. “We will make sure that all of the herd is made aware to our best ability.” She says and nods to the monk, “and for those who are uncertain of tasks we can delegate accordingly to skillsets. I am here to help and happy to aid any of you who might need it.” Her words trail off when she can begin to feel the building around them tremor. She looks around with uncertainty, her thoughts immediately diverted from the task at hand.
Skadi can practically hear the temple groan in agony as the walls and floors seem to crack under the strain of the spontaneous quake.
A quake is shaking the temple! There are cracks beginning to form in the walls and floor

Judith | Priestess of Kaia The quake hit with a shock, the great shrine trembling beneath its force. The columns holding up the oversized door groaned with protest but held fast. Chips of wood fell from the ceiling as the ancient beams shifted against one another but refused to break. The floor, on the other hand, cracked and splintered as large fishers ran across the ground. Judith jumped out of the way as the crack beneath her hooves widened to reveal the rock the shrine rested on.
It lasted no more than a minute, as the earth began to settle once more. Thankfully, the structures of Nariah were sturdy, used to taking on the unpredictability of the earth. The floor would have to be repaired though before the wedding was to take place.
"Is everyone alright?" The pony mare glanced at the others gathered in the shrine seeing many shocked faces but nothing of serious consequence. Kaia sure had a way of making herself known, unless it was Argus who was watching over his temple.
"Watch your step, some of these cracks are pretty deep. Not really the best time for such inconveniences..." As Judith jumped one of the fishers, an odd shape in the shadow of the rock caught her eye. It protruded from a hole just beneath the floorboards but definitely held qualities of an artist work. Even obscured, the fine carving of the item was undeniable.
"What is that...?"

Riviera had been too focused on worrying about the wedding and what kind of part she would play in the organisation and setup that the start of the earthquake barely registered. When it did and the temples marble began to crack... she leapt into the air with afew panicked flaps of her wings, floating in mid air so she didn't have to feel Kaia's anger. The earth mother was always furious in one way or another, she had noticed no matter how many Breimians prayed to her she still gave out the harshest punishements and more often then not the citizens were punished Riviera watched from her vantage point above the temples prayer pillows as the floor split and cracked, causing her to cringe inwardly as the temple was rendered by Kaia's blasphemous rage. She felt sadness when it was over, quietly flapping her wings to land with a clack on the stone floor, as she did she heard one of the priestesses of Kaia Speak. It was only right to give her a response, "I am fine" she replied quietly before making her way over to thee older mares side at her last exclamation, "...I beleive Argus is showing as the way" she bobbed her head slowly, a small smile gracing her lips

Casius;Breim | Priest Kindness trumps all, except when it doesn't Great kindness filled Casius’ gaze as he greeted Judith. He was not fond of the Kirins invasion, but one could not blame such horrors on a child. “How are things?” He asked her genuinely, the lack of followers was noticed by all of Nariah’s Priests but Casius prayed to Cascade that Judith was holding strong. “And I pray young Beatrice is well, I often send prayers to Cascade to send her strength.” He told her, although some guilt seeped through as he knew he should have been there to support Judith more. Before she could answer the King’s Guide began with the message.
At last! Good news to spread across Sirith. Naturally questions flooded in and Casius channeled Cascade as he waited patiently to contribute. With a gap, Casius spoke, “I will happily organise Food and Beverage. Judith, your experience will be of great use!” At last indeed, the herd could celebrate.
Such words tested on his lips before the Gods sent word of their contrasting plans. Casius held still as their world rumbled beneath them. He prayed fear would not spread too deep within Sirith’s souls at the same time he wondered how far the quake was felt. “We’ll need to calm the citizens.” The Priest spoke with concern knotting his brows. Judiths words distracted him from such thoughts as he moved with the group to the protruding image. “The Gods are certainly making themselves known.”
