Hotaru | Royal Family
Hotaru glanced over her shoulder at the two horses following behind her. She knew the taller of the two, a stallion by the name of Jamais Vu, as he was a guard whom she had run into a few times back in Nariah. She didn't know him well by any means, but she certainly knew him better than the other mare in their small party. She'd chosen to bring Jamais Vu along with her on her mission, to settle some of the tensions between the Old and New Generations, for obvious reasons. First and foremost she had needed an escort to make the journey from Nariah to Sterling, as only a fool would travel such a distance alone. 'Especially in times like these.' She thought, an almost nervous edge to the words even though they weren't said out loud. Though the former queen hardly wished to think about such things, she couldn't deny the fact that someone may resort to violence against her should the tension reach the breaking point.
The other horse in their company she had brought with them more out of courtesy than an actual want. Hotaru knew with tensions so high any attempt at trying to settle the people without proper representation of both sides would fall flat, and thus she'd summoned a Maker to accompany her and Jamais Vu to Sterling. The black mare was young, less than half Hotaru's age, though then again Jamais Vu wasn't much older than that himself, and Hotaru couldn't help but be a bit stunned by the young mare's striking eyes. Her name was Nerium, and though Hotaru had never heard nor seen the other mare before they had started their journey to Sterling, she seemed nice enough, though a bit...wild. Hotaru wasn't sure how she would deal with the young Maker should she do anything too rash, but she still held onto the hope that this trip would go smoothly and just as it had been planned.
"Remember, we are here to settle tensions, not create more." She said to her companions, stopping in her walking to turn and face them. She gently removed the hood of her deep purple cloak so she could level the two other horses with a stern gaze. She didn't honestly believe these two would cause much trouble, but it didn't hurt to be cautious.

It is the duty of the Royal Family to keep the relations between the palace and the citizens strong and positive, as this is the only way Breim has survived for countless generations. But tensions between the Old Generation and the New have slowly begun to tear apart this trust, now even more so with the disappearance of the previous King. Can the Royal’s convince the common people to trust them once again, or will these attempts end in more division?

Jamais Vu || Guard || Briem
He was summoned to help guard the queen and her entourage, at least to make sure she had safe passage, to protect her from all the things that could go so horribly wrong. Oh what a shame it would be if something would go wrong, how dreadful. The ideas was of course nothing, but wishful thinking. He was on the job and oddly, he kept to his job, and did it with as much skill and power as he could. He surely hoped the crowds would be riled up, he yearned for a fight,to rip flesh to bash down the weak. Yet he would have to be on such good behavior with the former Queen and this other one. He never recalled seeing her before and he would be of course sure to watch her carefully.
Vu rolled his shoulders as they walked onwards, a firm look plastered on his face, made him look like a man of few emotion, it best to look like a hound on a leash ready to obey every command. Ears perked forwards as the former Queen spoke to them. He merely nodded. "Of course." he remarked with a cool voice. Oh he would settle tension that was for sure. Vu was ready for this, to hear the shouting the riots, he wanted to see the thin thread that tied the two together to snap. Snap into glorious and chaos, who could be trusted in such dark times beneath the earth? None of course, mother against daughter, brother against sister. No one could trust each other and gods did he want it all to crumble into dust. Vu shook his head having to rid himself of such pleasurable thoughts, now was of course not the time.
He was on a mission, had to somehow protect them all, well at least right now. Vu only helped others when it would benefit him and now was his chance to do what he had promised himself long before. Snip snip, he could almost hear the thing thread being to snap and break. It made his want to reach out and snap out as if breaking the last threads himself, yet he remained looking like a stature, a calm look on his face as he walked with the mares. Eyes looked the former Queen and to the other. "What is you plan if you do not mind me asking of course." he remained form dipping his head respectfully to them both. He would help them until it no longer suited him. Plus to have a good idea of what was happening would be better for him to plan his own thing. Oh yes, lets all have a little fun shall we?

Energy and excitement buzzed inside the dark mare. She had never been on a trip quite like this one and had never gotten to see much of the cities before since she mainly stuck to the tunnels, Nariah, and the occasional trip to the surface to sate her ever-returning curiosity she never seemed to have grown out of like so many had predicted in her youth. She hadn't spoken of the trip to many save for her close friends and a few words to her mother who loved to hear tales of her venturing from the city. Oh, and of course she was happy to be accompanying the two others but a small part of her questioned it. 'why me?' Her mind had whispered it repeatedly over and over, wondering why they had chosen a lesser known maker when well known ones that would happily represent the New Generation were almost certainly available... Perhaps none were simply interested? Most are quite busy and others might not care for sitting down and trying to fix relations between the Old and New Generations... At least, that was one of the few reasons she could muster for as to why they would choose her out of all the Makers.
And then there was the party she was to travel with. Both older than herself, one slightly taller, and both holding high ranks in the Old Generation. One went by the name of Horatu. Her coat was covered in intricate designs and far more beautiful then Nerium's and with their only interactions being those of introductions and a few brief words, she wasn't exactly quite sure what to make of the rather formal mare. She was unsure if casual banter would be welcomed so she simply held her tongue, not wanting to make their little trip unpleasant for any member of the group. Then there was the other, going by the name of Jamais Vu. Only slightly older than her and around a hand taller than her thin frame. They seemed a tad more sociable than Horatu but she still wasn't quite sure of them, something making her uneasy around him but the thoughts of unease were quickly chased away as soon as they appeared by excuses of not really knowing the stallion since they had just briefly met not long ago.
She was shaken from the thoughts of contemplating the others who accompanied her by the words of Horatu who had turned to face them. Her words were ones spoken as though she was not to be ignored, something expected of one of the royal family perhaps. The words echoing in her mind, creating small whispers of dread, worries of the idea of her messing up their small task somehow despite her simply needing to be present... It couldn't be that difficult to not mess anything up, right?

Hotaru | Royal Family
"Our plan, Jamais Vu, is to speak with the people, we must find out the origin of these tensions so that we may find some sort of compromise between the Generations. I do not like the fighting that has begun within our herd, the Breim cannot survive unless we all work together in harmony, so you must understand how important this is. Both of you do." Hotaru spoke in response to the guard's question, her voice calm and steady with practiced ease --one that gave away nothing of the nerves curling in her gut. "Now come along we must be off." She said, turning and beginning to walk once more. Their group had been sticking to the outskirts of Sterling but now she began to lead them towards the busier parts of the city, where they could actually get something productive done.
"Now we must remember there are two sides to every coin, and we must be sensitive to the thoughts and beliefs of both sides of this," She hesitated to call it a conflict, that sounded too much like 'war', "disagreement." She paused ever so slightly as if to test the sound of that word, to make sure she didn't have to amend what she had said, "Which is why I asked you to come with us, dear. I'm afraid I know very little of the New Generation's point of view." She said with a nod and a small smile to Nerium, the poor child seemed a bit intimidated Hotaru thought. Even if Hotaru thought little of the New Generation and their beliefs she still wasn't cruel, or mean by any sense of the word --she could hold her tongue about what she thought about the New Generation for the sake of one of her people, even a Maker such as Nerium.

Jamais Vu || Guard || Briem
Eyes watched as the former queen spoke to them all. Here to find the source of the issue. To see who is starting such things, well that would be useful information in case things go to smoothly here. He can find the source and fed the fire once more. Add gas to the fire to watch it explode before their eyes. What a day that would be. Though it seemed the former Queen needed them to do their job. It made him almost want to snort out if dislike. He wanted more, but when did he not.
He walked along and eyed the smaller mare that was with them. So that made sense why he never saw her before. "Everything will go fine no need to worry." He smiled to her charmingly. He was never one to boost but he was an excellent guard. Though how he kept up with his strength and power was a different story. "Hopefully we can solve this matter easily and smoothly for the sake of the herds." Words came easy to him a fine trait he earned from his mother. Vu looked to them both and snorted ad they got closer to the goal. Vu was indeed curious of what was happening how was everything going here between the new and old world. Worlds collide and cities fall. Oh how Vu enjoyed chaos.

Nerium welcomed the words of Hotaru for they put her worries at ease but some still lingered, wondered how the three of them were take on such a task. Sure, the idea was a wonderful one, to have the herd get along peacefully, respecting the ideas of others, but if it was easy wouldn't it already have been done? The divide was so deep-rooted, some even raised to despise those who did not share the same views as they and those before them did. The idea always worried the poor mare, wishing for advancement and exploration, to sleep beneath the stars where the sky seems to go on forever, not simply watch them from a hole above a city or play with glowing stones that provide light in the utter darkness of their home while others wish to have her stay beneath the earth, to be content with her life and for others to be just as content as they. Ah, but do not be mistaken, she loves her home dearly and would not want to leave... she simply wishes to live life fully, to see what the world so many shy away from has to offer. She understands the ideas of tradition, how they can help build a grand structure for a wonderful society but then one must think, how must a tree grow if it simply is concerned with roots? spreading through the earth and never feeling the warm embrace of the pale, blue sky?
She was shaken from her thoughts of the world above and the divide of those who share the underground as her home by the words of Jamais Vu, perhaps trying to comfort her worried mind to which she responded with a small smile dancing on her dark lips as words slipped from them, hope, confidence, and perhaps even some excitement ringing in her voice despite the worry that lingered in her young mind.
" Yeah, I hope everything goes as planned, and if not reaching a compromise that benefit both parties and gets rid of the division of the herd, perhaps one that will at least make everyone a little bit happier, right? "
There was a glimmer in her eyes, perhaps one that would be often found in a foal rather than a mare beginning her twenties. It was a glimmer of an energetic hope, a will to make things better, because things had to get better at some point right? Some would laugh at the mare for having such an enduring hope for what was the likeliness of the three of them really helping heal and age-old feud? Ah, but perhaps that hope was the charm of the little mare, to hope even when things seem against her.

Hotaru | Royal Family
Hotaru felt her smile grow slightly at the sound of the younger horses agreeing with her. She had found, at the start of their journey, that she wasn't quite sure this would all work out --not only was she not up to date with whatever was happening within the New Generation, but she was also old enough that she could be both Jamias Vu and Nerium's mother, and she had fully expected the generation gap between them to cause some sort of rift. Though as things stood it appeared both of her companions shared her thoughts about the task at hand and were willing to help her with it. She nodded her thanks to Jamias Vu for his encouraging words, before turning her attention back to the other mare with them,
"That is precisely what I hope to accomplish." She said warmly, feeling a stir of maternal feelings within her at the sight of the hopefulness in the black mare's eyes. After nodding slightly to the two of the other's again she turned back to watching where she was going as they entered a more heavily populated part of the city, it wouldn't do her any good to run straight into someone. "Come now," She called back, raising her voice ever so slightly to be heard over the chatter of the equine's around them, "Let us mingle, find out what we can."

Jamais Vu || Guard
Ears listened to the conversation between the two and he merely nodded his head when agreeing with them. He had nothing to truly add to the chatter, but instead remained focused on the world around him. Eyes looked to the former Queen as she poke of them going out to mingle. He merely nodded to her and eyed the smaller mare. His duty as of now was to guard and protect.
Vu's whole demeanor changed his more laid back posture was replaced to a more upright position. Head held upwards so he could see beyond their small area. He didn't act out to those that lingered yo close to them, but kept a careful eye on them instead. He merely showed them all he was there watching them all. They didn't come to bring violence upon them, yet of they made an attack towards them, oh Vu would fall upon them like a cave in. His hooves and pure strength with take the air from their lungs. Oh how his body craved for such things he missed the fighting, the cried of pain that taste of his blood and others in his mouth. Chaos was his guilty pleasure.
Eyes looked to the mares, as he snorted faintly. "Well let us see if we can find the dieases that plagues us." He snorted as he wondered what equine was causing the disruption in their world. Hopefully someone that knew to shut up in times as Vu would personally love to speak to them after all of this. Join in their aid to break the thin thread that holds these two worlds together. He wanted it to snap, fall into sweet despair. His body hungers her such things.

A delicate smile rested upon her lips as they continued on, entering the crowd that flowed around them naturally. It reminded her of the city she called home, now a while away from where they stood now. She listened carefully to the words of the other, the ones belonging to Jamais Vu unsettling her slightly. Diseases? The idea once not one that brought about good thoughts. Images of such a sickness, one that brought about acidic hatred flickered through her mind, dancing like the flame of a candle. A small, frown tugged upon her dark lips, her gaze resting upon the cold stone beneath her hooves. Ah, but those images were ever so quickly chased away as Nerium's enchanting gaze turned skyward, her small frown slipping from her face and being replaced with a giant, childish smile. A little hop dancing in her steps, making her seem almost like a small child, seeing wonderful little toys through a store window. Of course, it was a tad odd to see a practically fully-grown mare happily staring at the skylight and the sky it revealed to the citizens of Sterling. Ah, but such a thing was awfully common for those who lived in this city was it not? Of course, she was from a city where such a sight was quite rare, some living in the city perhaps never venturing from the saftey of the tunnels to see the stretch of pale blue. The few amused or confused glances sent the mare's way by a few members of the crowd made a sense of worry curl in her delicate heart but was quickly chased away as they grew closer, more of the sky entering the dark mare's gaze.
She cast her gaze to the others for a brief moment, wondering if they found the sky quite as beautiful as she did. Oh, but then there was the small whisper in her mind that reminded her that those who traveled with her belonging to the old generation and the quite likely possibility of them not finding the outside world quite as fascinating as she did. Nerium pulled her gaze away from the two who she traveled with and let her view turn skyward once more, occasionally flicking ahead of her to watch where she stepped in the crowd.

With Banshee to create a distraction, Beartooth slipped away into the shadows. .
She approached the booth, her steps silent and careful. She could feel a rush of adrenaline surge through her. This was it. For so long she had been waiting for this, waiting for the day when she could successfully make it into Sterling and steal those ridiculously valued gems. They glittered on the booth, calling to her, begging for her to snatch them up in her saddle bag. Oh, and did they ever look beautiful resting on that velvet sheet. Soon enough her bag was filled with gems. Damn, they were heavier than expected.
As she turned to make her leave, two gems spilled out and dropped to the ground, making a soft clattering sound. She calmly moved on, knowing that she must make a quick escape.
Perhaps she had been too confident, too sure of her own abilities. She hardly even noticed the chimera that had been watching her and Banshee. Her heart nearly skipped a beat when their eyes met. “Fuck,” was all that came out of her lips. And then in the crowd nearby she heard a voice cry out, “THIEF!” Without any second thoughts, she took off, bolting away to safety and leaving Banshee behind to fend for own hide.
Her heart was pounding like a drum. She had to find a way out of Sterling - quick. She could hear the clatter of hooves behind her. Sterling was not a familiar city to her, and so it seemed that the odds would be against her. Naturally, as they always were for thieves and other dissenters like her.
Gems spilled out from her overfilled saddlebag as she ran, leaving a trail-of-sorts that marked her path.

Hotaru | Royal Family
Hotaru opened her mouth to speak once more, perhaps to inform Jamais Vu that he needn't be so...morbid in regards to the situation. A disease was not the proper word for what was happening within the herd and the former queen would hate for any citizen to have overheard her guard and begin the stirrings of panic. She wasn't even given time to formulate a single syllable before a commotion broke out among the crowd a short way ahead of them. Hotaru's ears pricked, her head swiveling around to face the upset, violet eyes scanning for it's source. The first thought crossing her mind was that her niece was up to yet another one of her schemes, with that poor zonkey she always dragged around with her in tow, but Hoshi was not the one to break out of the crowd as a shout of "Theif!" rang through the air.
Thinking on her hooves, Hotaru turned back to her two companions, "Come, we can cut off their escape!" she called over her shoulder, already starting after the thieves. The brindle mare couldn't help but feel some relief when she caught sight of another herd member already chasing after the offenders, and Hotaru could only hope her own two acquaintances would be faster than she; for Argus knew she was getting old, and already she could feel her joints begin to ache.

Banshee | Thief
“Fuck you, Beartooth!” Banshee yelled, when the mare started running and leaved her behind. She was angry and pissed, but what should she other expect from a thief than that? She knew, she couldn't trust her. But she expected more from a camarade, at least Banshee helped her to steal the precious gems.
The young knabstrupper mare had no other option than to run away, although she had no idea in wich direction. She didn't knew where the exit was, but while running she noticed gems on the ground. If I get you Beartooth, I'll kick your stupid ass! the angry mare thought, while following Beartooth tracks. She could hear the clatter of hooves behind her and hoped that they wouldn't catch her, If they do, Banshee had another plan. Hopefully the horse's behind her were enough stupid that plan B would work. But for now, she ran as fast as she could, hoped to get somewhere and not running in circles. It was really hard to remember the ways, without even know where she was running. All these damn underground tunnels looked the same! ______ 186 Words || Post 3

Jamais Vu || Guard
A small smile curled upwards he noticed how the one seemed to recoil a bit at his words, so weak stomached the equine of briem were. It was truly such a sad sight to see. Had living underground made them so sensitive to brutal honesty? Negative thoughts and words were a plague a disease. Bad news always traveled faster then good ever could. Yet here they all acted as if he spoke of something that should only be whispered to softly to ears. How weak and naive they all were. May the ruins of their homes crumble upon them so perhaps they can see how vile the world could truly be, but he would let fate show them exactly how vile it could be. Poor equines that prefer to live in a state of ignorance. It would truly be the death of them all.
Shouting of a single word echoed through the air 'Thief' Eyes narrowed, as he had to hide away the smile that wanted to grow on his face. Trained form made him ready to leap at the single word, and soon the command came to him. 'Cut off their escape' Hooves pounded onto the ground as he was on the move as soon as the words left her mouth. The bounding of hooves matched his heart as the thrill of the hunt was getting to him. Nostrils flared as he dashed forwards, he was young and in the prime of his life, this would be nothing he assumed. He passed by Hotaru and was getting close to block the thieves path. Yellow eyes glistened with glee as he was speeding up faster and faster, racing as if time was against him, but no he much rather chase them down the tunnels to slick edges, to watch how a small wrong move could send one of them tumbling down with a scream. Yes he much rather witness that or lure one to a tunnel he knew all too well, to show the horrors of Vu. Yes he would ascend upon them like death, yet death would be what they would wish for if Vu had his way.
Vu was able to get a good look at the thieves and he couldn't help but snort as he watched the glimmering trail they left. Surely they weren't as daft as that? Eyes narrowed all the more as he tossed his head, letting long locks from his bun. Hooves pounded down on the grounds. "Halt!" he shouted out at them, but he never wanted them to actually halt, but no he much rather watch them spot him, the large stallion dashing towards them. He would of course through himself in harm's way. Many would try to be civil stop them, Vu had other desires. He'd crash into the mare with the bag. Send her sprawling to the floor, a fair trade for one trying to rob them. Then again his companions would shout and scream and he would merely say he couldn't have slown down in time. Vu's ears went flat down as he charged forwards, in attempts to cut off their path.

If she could make her way back to the tunnels, she could lose them in there. The tunnels were dark, visibility poor without the help of a lantern or candle. A dangerous plan, especially since she had little knowledge of the tunnels, but she refused for capture to be an option.
With the sudden realization that the gems were leaving a trail, the spotted thief knew she had dug herself deep into trouble. Her only option seemed to be to drop the bag, but she had come all this way to get these gems, she could not simply drop the bag! Then she asked herself, what did she want more? Evading her pursuers or the gems? The answer was a logical one of course - she wanted to get out of Sterling. And so, she immediately sought to get rid of the bag.
It was easier said than done.
One quick look back showed her that a dark, and rather formidable, stallion was hot on her trail, quickly gaining speed. She pumped her legs even harder. With a combination of using telekinesis to undo the bag’s straps, and kicking her legs out, she was able to remove the saddlebag. It crashed the ground and gems spilled all over the ground. It was with a heavy heart that she dared to glance back, to look at the precious gems that could have been hers.
Unfortunately for her, the stallion’s attempt to cut off her path were somewhat successful. She had mere seconds to react before the formidable stallion collided with her. She just narrowly escaped the impact, and had felt their withers touch for a split second. Her mind scrambled to find a new path of escape. The others were coming, and as she spun around to find another path, she see them only strides away.
There!
She hurried towards the opening of a nearby alley. Her body was trembling. Whether it was from fear or adrenaline, she did not know, and she did not care. Her mind was focused on one thing; escape.
“Alya, guide me out of these wretched tunnels!” Beartooth cried out as she charged into the alley. It was a tight squeeze. She could see the end of alley, which opened up onto another street. With luck, it would be the street to lead her back to the tunnels.

Banshee | Thief
When suddenly a stallion cut off Beartooth path, Banshee knew that she had to split up and go her own way. When she would longer stick around the thief, she would also get in danger. The stallion sure looked powerful and also a bit crazy. So there was one more reason to go her own way, because the stallion was following Beartooth and Banshee didn't wanted to get involved. Maybe the other horses didn't noticed her and that was the perfect opportunity!
Without looking behind her, if someone is following her, without slowing down, Banshee made a narrow turn in on of the darker tunnels. Her plan was to hide in the shadows, or hang out her followers in the dark – if there were any. It was hard to tell, because you could hear a lot clatter of hooves, that came from all directions. It looked like the two thieves made a big mess and now it would be sure very difficult to just walk out of Sterling. But that was just one of the problems, first she needed to make sure she's alone. While running through the dark tunnel, Banshee take a risk and looked behind her, but there was nothing else than darkness. She started to slow down, always ready to start running again, if someone would show up. Her head was always turning right and left, searching for a follower, but when no one showed up, Banshee stopped in one of the dark shadows. When the young mare calmed down, she checked her bag, that was attached to her shoulder. All her precious gems were still there. What a relief! It would be such a shame, if they would get lost. All the hard work would be for nothing. Banshee grinned satisfied, but there was no time for getting already excited, she needed to find an exit. _____ 310 Words || Post 4

Ciarra | Doctor
As much as Ciarra had wished her instincts were wrong this time, it was no surprise to her when the two figures she had been tailing bolted at the call of thief. She sets off after the pair, toward the tunnels. If Breimans themselves had to have a guide to get through here, there was no way that two thieves would escape without one. Much less with the alarm sounded. Ciarra leaps over the gems now scattered on the ground, toward the tunnel's entrance. Vu nearly got them, and it seemed he had cut off one's path to a tunnel. Perhaps with a bit of teamwork...
"They split! There are two!" She calls to the guard, seeing Beartooth take off down an alley, and Banshee slip into the tunnels. "Search the streets, don't let the one in the tunnels get far." Ciarra bolts into the entrance. She takes a moment to slow and quiet her breathing, ears twitching in all directions, searching for the sound of hooves on the ground. It was quiet, but hiding in here was theoretically easy for the unfamiliar.

The scent of her was all he could smell for a split second, their bodies could have collided in beautiful chaos. Unfortunately she was quick, and it was then a shiver ran down his spine, the desire to chase, the desire to hunt was over coming him.Making him lose the mask he hides behind in front of others. Eyes caught the sight of the mare, the one that turned into the tunnels, oh how he loved the darkness of tunnels. The way they hid all his sins for him, how no one can see the injustice he gave to all. He was tempted, oh gods how he was tempted to pursue the one instead. A voice called out and that's when he saw the amre give chase and soon follow the one into the tunnels, so that left one. A smirk began to grow on his face, he gave her enough time to flee to believe she may be safe. "Cut her off." he called to the former queen and their companion. Surely they would backtrack and go elsewhere. Leave the mare to him. It was time. Hunt her down. He charged after the mare, her cries of Alya called out to him like a sweet lullaby, oh how fear sounded so wonderfully to him. The whimpers the cries, the pleads of mercy, he drank it all like fine wine. Each glass full so much better than the one before. Laughter erupted from his lips. "Cry for you god, watch as they do nothing for you." he called out to her. Gods watched his misdeeds and they did nothing, they cared so little and wouldn't bend for one mortal alone. Oh no, but Alya of course would have a gift, a gift of hearing her beloved child scream out for mercy, scream her name to save her. But no one, no one could save them from himself. Hooves pounded, and nostrils flared as he followed after her, even in the small alley he rushed forwards. The walls tightened on him, rubbing his skin to the points sides of him began to rip under the pressure. Oh but the pain was pleasure, it was the fuel to the fire. "I'll get you little mare...." he called out to her in a taunting manner. Let his whisperings drip doubt and fear into her mind. let everything he says bring her closer to a hysterical mess. He loved to see them sob in tunnels his whispering driving them mad as he hid within the shadows. Sick kicks was all he needed to get his fix, and for this poor mare, he is long overdue for a fix. Hotaru | Royal Family
Hotaru kept her pace steady and, much to her chagrin, rather slow in comparison to the younger horses around her, but there was nothing much the older mare could do about that. A fleeting thought crossed her mind that perhaps Hoshi should put some effort into something for her poor aunt's joints instead of whatever undoubtedly dangerous and ultimately useless thing she was surely up to. Hotaru shook her head slightly, being startled from her thoughts when she nearly tripped over the bag of gems the thief had dropped. Not wanting the valuable items to be left laying where another could easily scoop them up for themselves, the brindle mare gently lifted the bag and fastened it to herself. She would return them to their rightful owner once the business with these thieves was taken care of.
A quick glance around told her that Jamias Vu had run off after the mare who had dropped the bag, and the other herd member had gone after one who had fled into the tunnels. Hotaru didn't think twice about following her herdmate's lead into the tunnels. She knew the tunnels near the cities quite well, a knowledge she was certain the thief didn't share. She caught up to the Breim mare, pulling up beside her with a nod and a small, rather tired smile before she too began to glance around in search of their thief.

The word screamed in Nerium's mind as the world seemed to slow momentarily around her, her odd gaze flicking to the origin of the voice as everything sped up all too quickly around her. Her eyes flashed to the two that raced away from the voice, her mind screaming and racing. 'Move.' Her mind screamed and chanted it over and over yet all she could do was stand there as her heart thudded rapidly in her chest. Jamais Vu then moved swiftly, stepping in the path of one. Perhaps it was the action of Jamais Vu that stirred movement in the dark mare's legs, urging her to move after the other who fled towards the tunnels that lead from the city and laced across the land. The tunnels was certainly not a place where one would want to race blindly after another but Nerium didn't have much time to think of if it would be better to race after them before they gained too much distance or whether it would be best to wait and seek out the other thief later on if the opportunity arose, perhaps hoping they would become lost in the labyrinth of tunnels that span for miles, all the way back to her home and perhaps even further... Ah, but where was the adventure in the latter!?
Nerium's hooves clicked upon the stone floor with each step, her lungs rapidly flooding with air as her strides lengthened, chasing after the other, trusting Jamais Vu to deal with the other in some way, the idea of 'how' not crossing her mind as she made her way through the crowd as best she could and reaching the tunnels after a moment, a tad behind the one who had fled and the other two who had chased them as well due to her rather embarrassing moment of hesitation. As she entered the mouth of the tunnels, she followed the others, listening for the clicking of their hooves, small whispers in her mind hoping desperately that harm did not come to those who chased after the thief in the never-ending tunnels. She stayed at a good pace, not faltering as she raced to catch up with the others, the thud of her hooves rumbling in her ears.

Banshee | Thief
Someone is coming! Banshee thought, as she heard the clatter of hooves behind her. It looked like someone noticed her after all, so the young mare had to change her plan. It was really naive to think that there were no followers, but at least she had enough time to catch some breath and check her bag. It was hard to tell how many horses run directly in her direction, but if there was more than one, there was no chance to fight them. It was to risky, so she had to keep moving through the tunnels and find a way out, or at least somewhere to hide.It was pretty easily to get lost, but Banshee had no other opportunity. If she would stay here, her followers would find her and only they know what they would do to her. Sure they wouldn't just stop by to say ‘Hello’. So her next move, was pretty obvious.
Without hesitation, Banshee started to run in the other direction from where the clatter of hooves could be heard. Away from the horses who still followed her. There was a big chance, that they could hear her, but the tunnel was to dark for them to see that far. At least the thief had a big lead and they had to be fast, to catch up to her. Banshee sure didn't plan to hand over her precious gems voluntary. It wasn't easy to get that far and she wouldn't give up that easily. Not now. Not when she was so close! ____ 258 Words || Post 5 || +10 AP, +10 CS

Was it too late to say that coming to Sterling was a bad idea? She could hear his taunts, the maniacal tone of his voice. If any of the gods were listening (and she certainly hoped they were), she prayed that they would help her. Gods know that she needed all the help that she could get right now.
From what she could tell, the others who had chased her were now going after Banshee. If it was only him, she could outrun this stallion, perhaps tire him out, then maybe she could have a chance to get into the tunnels safely.
Beartooth spilled out of the alleyway. Confused citizens stared at her, unsure of the strange mare and what she was doing. She hurried past them in her frenzy.
Over there, was that?...It was! It was the tunnels! Oh bless Alya!
There was her chance of escape, her means out of this damned city. A renewed vigor moved through her. Nevermind that she had little knowledge of the tunnels. It got her out of Sterling, and that was what she was looking for. The tunnel’s entrance was lit, lights hanging the first few feet in. But as one delved deeper, light disappeared, only available if one had brought a candle or lantern.
She was so close to freedom.
The darkness of the tunnels cast a veil of temporary protection over Beartooth. She was not completely out of danger yet, though. She still had to worry about getting that stallion off of her trail. Her movements did not slow, and she continued to run hard and fast, going deep into the unknown.

Jamais Vu || Guard || Breim
Eyes remained locked onto the mares form as he followed after her. It amused him greatly how silence was now her companion. "Give up on your foolish prayers, little mare?" he mocked out towards her, his cool voice reaching out towards. "You're so far down below, not even the gods will hear your screams." he snorted out to her as he rushed forwards racing towards her. Nostrils flared as adrenaline rushed through his body, Yes, this was what he needed the thrill of the chase, the desire to catch the little grey mouse that teased before him. Oh how he would have such pleasures once her caught her. Hooves skidded on the pavement on the ground as she took turn and was within the tunnels. Many of the horses stared unsure of what was happening, yet as they spotted Jamais, many backed up to give him room. Seeing a guard chase after someone many knew it was best to get out of the way or be trampled upon. Vu would have no shame for such things. Thieves were to be punished, and if it was up to Vu, well they were would be far greater punishments.
Jamais sped up as he watched her form slink into the tunnels, and his brows furrowed together in a tight knit. No this one could not escape, at least not without a little gift. "Little mare..." he whispered out to her as he galloped forwards. He knew these parts, and he surely hoped she was not so sure of where she was going. It was but a small advantage that he had on her. Eyes lingered on her, as he gave a cruel grin, this was his chance. Pushing his body forwards he reached up to her, nostrils flaring as he felt want to rip out from his chest, his mouth opened and it was clear he was ready to snap down on her hind leg in hopes to trip her, take her down, or maybe snap down and leave her a little gift from a him. A fine reminder, if she ever returns, he'd be here waiting... Watching.
