Getting into Sterling was certainly a feat worth celebrating. Vagabonds in general never usually made it into the city, let alone thieves. Breim’s tight knit community usually prevented Vagabonds from getting far. Even the best of thieves could be caught in their disguises by the deceptive residents. She was surprised to have gotten so far, but certainly happy. A friendly pegasus had been their guide through the winding, mysterious tunnels. Admittedly, it was a little intimidating to Beartooth. She was not familiar with the territory, as the land of Sirith was not somewhere she frequently came to. Onea and Sedo were her places of choice. But of course, she was not alone. She was accompanied by another thief named Banshee, both unwilling tag alongs to each other. They seemed to both have the same idea about stealing, and so it seemed a good plan for the both of them to work together. There was a feeling of excitement that tingled across her skin when Beartooth first stepped in Sterling. Oh, Sterling, such a beautiful place...beautiful equines, beautiful homes, beautiful scenery - but most important of all, beautiful and precious gems to steal… From what she had heard, Sterling was very well known for its art. It was run by what was called the New Generation - some bunch of horses who veered away from the traditional beliefs of Breim, as she had been told. Art could be worth quite a lot, but what she was after today was not art. She wanted gems. Once the guide had departed, Beartooth turned to her companion. “ We should move quickly, surely someone will figure us out if we remain idle.” And with that she began walking again. As much as she would have loved to sight see, she just simply couldn’t do that right now. She was her for one purpose, and that purpose was to steal some of Sterling’s valuable gems. They could be worth quite the coin, and she knew a buyer in need of some. Sirith’s beautiful gems were unlike any other. Banshee was a big girl, so she reckoned that the other mare would do fine going on her own path - unless she wished to follow along, perhaps team up and split the rewards. An unlikely idea though, thieves hardly worked in pairs. (WC: 387 || Post 1)

Banshee | Thief
Sterling’s valuable gems were something, Banshee always wanted to steal. She just never get the perfect opportunity, because she knew how dangerous Sirith’s tunnels were. If we’re honest, she never dare to get even close to Sirith. Not because Banshee was afraid, but because she was clever. Without any knowledge about the big underground labyrinth she would get lost and so easily caught. It was impossible for her, although the wish, to see and steal Sterling’s valuable gems at least once, was really big. If the young mare would succeed in a crime like this, she would sure get more respect from other thieves.
When Banshee crossed her path with Beartooth - another thief - she decided to join her, although she wasn't someone who would work in pairs. But she had no other choice, because she knew that on her own she would never manage to even enter the tunnels. It was the one perfect opportunity Banshee waited for so long. It looked like the mare already had some experience and know how to get to the gems, without being noticed. The young mare just had to trust the stranger, although one of her own rules were, to never trust anybody. It’s not like rules where there to be broken anyway.
Banshee got really excited, when both thieves manage to get inside. The guide was such an amateur. Did nobody told him to never leave his position? Banshee thought with a satisfied smirk on her face.
“Don’t tell me what to do.” Banshee said slightly annoyed. It was hard for her to hold her bad temper back, but she gave her best. At least she didn't wanted that Bearthoot would leave her alone in the tunnels. When that happens, she would be fucked. So there was no other opportunity but to try to stay silent. Sometimes it was better to don’t say anything and Banshee knew that, but it was a big challenge for her, since she always tells directly what she thinks and mostly her words are just rude. With her ears putted back, she followed Beartooth, it’s not like Banshee had another opportunity. If she would now try to work on her own, she sure would get lost. For first it was the best decision to stick around her companion.

It is temptation and greed that draws us to do many things, but none more so than that which we can not have. The vagabond thieves have long dreamed of acquiring the precious goods of Sirith but many past attempts have failed due to Breim’s tight knit security. But recent events have kinked the herds impenetrable armor, chaos and fear turning Breimian’s against one another as questions remain unanswered. Now is the time for the thieves to strike and the city beneath the waterfall is the perfect target. Sterling will never know what hit them.

Ciarra | Doctor
As the bustle of the city died down, the dark coat of a chimeric mare slips from her home. It had been a long day of research, and some outside air would surely ease the doctor's fraying nerves. Ciarra wanders down the street, hooves quietly meeting the earth below. With everything going on right now, a quiet walk sounded like at least a temporary solution for her own mind. It would not be long before she spotted two figures that were not familiar to her. Ciarra's curiosity kicks in.
In such a city, unfamiliar faces were not uncommon. Though in her profession, Ciarra made a conscious effort to know as many of them as possible. A name to a face at the very least. Preferably some record of medical history, not that it was entirely necessary. Ciarra stops in her tracks to observe them, as they hadn't seem to have noticed her presence yet. They weren't far from the tunnels... Could they have managed to get past the guard? The dappled mare swallows. Chasing down suspicious individuals wasn't exactly her lot in life, but growing up with hooligan siblings could perhaps be a benefit.
Ciarra inadvertently tails them. She stays well out of their sight, taking side paths. Knowing the city had it's benefits. Perhaps she could gain some kind of knowledge, pick up some kind of information between these two. Maybe she would run into a guard- if it was possible to get that lucky. Or maybe.. she was just overreacting. That was always a possibility. Either way, the young mare would rather be safe than sorry in these times.

Beartooth released a low chuckle at her companion's words. “I am not telling you what to do, Banshee. I am only suggesting what would be in your best interest.”
So it seemed they would work together then. They would likely be more effective together, assuming that Banshee was willing to listen to what Beartooth said to her. As the two of them made their way towards the market area, or at least what Beartooth hoped would be the market area, a plan began to formulate in Beartooths mind. One of them could be a distraction, while the other went in and snatched the goods. Seemed simple enough.
Her excitement only grew as they drew closer to their target. It was a familiar feeling to her, often accompanied by a rush of adrenaline. This was going to be good, she could feel it.
There were some equines who stared, questioning what two unfamiliar faces were doing in the city, and if their intentions were malevolent. But surely if they had made it this far, then they meant no harm…
Her eyes locked on a merchant’s booth that had an vast display of precious gems, metals, and other goods, all locally obtained. Yes, they would do perfectly.
“I believe our target is close,” she nodded over towards the nearby merchant. Beartooth looked over to her companion. “If you are willing to act as the distraction, then I will go in and take what we came here for.” She then paused for a moment. “Do you agree to this plan?”

Banshee | Thief
Without saying anything else, Banshee followed Beartooth. A lot of horses gazed at the two unfamiliar mares, but Banshee didn't really care about it and avoid making eye contact with them. She was not in the mood to play a friendly tourist and hoped therefore that no one will try to talk to her. Fuck off was the only thought the knabstrupper had in mind for the strangers and if she had to speak that out loud, it would make the two thieves suspicious. So at that time, her only focus was to not freak out, although she was pretty annoyed. It was hard for the young mare to hold her bad temper back.
When Beartooth started to explain her plan, Banshee listened carefully. It was a simple plan, but it could also go wrong, if someone would notice that Beartooth stole something. In that case, it would be difficult to get out of the tunnels, because now everybody would know that they are thieves and would try to stop them. It wasn't like that Banshee thought that her partner is a bad thief, not at all, she only don’t really trust her. “I can do that.” she answered with a low, but confident voice. The question was which distracion was the best choice? If she would pretend to faint, nobody would care about it, why would they help a stranger anyway? She could also flirt with the seller, but it was a too big risk that someone else would notice Beartooth. Maybe the best choice was to provoke a stranger. Everybody likes to listen to a loud and bad argue! The plan was perfect, but there still was something that Banshee wanted to know. “How do I know, that you won’t leave me behind ?” she asked serius, while looking with an annoyed expression at her camarade. _____

Ciarra | Doctor
The mare grows more uncertain as she tails the two from sidestreets. What if they weren't doing anything shifty at all? Ciarra sighs. It is better to be safe than sorry, especially with the state of Briem right now. She casually strolls through a plaza, taking note of their course to the marketplace. Her eyes narrow. Even if they were planning something, there was no way they would get through the tunnels alone. All the Doctor had to do was make their experience more difficult if she had to. As much as she hoped she didn't.
Ciarra browses a few of the merchant's wares, taking note of a few things she should pick up. Keeping a stealthy watch over the unfamiliar figures should be rather easy. There was enough commotion in the marketplace to keep their attention away from her, for now anyway. If they tried anything, surely someone would call attention to it as well.

Good, Banshee agreed with the plan, which meant the fun part could happen.
As the two walked through the markets, Beartooth tried to keep an air of confidence. Acting nervous was certainly one way to raise suspicion. Her partner in crime seem to be doing a decent job of keeping herself under control as well. Thank Alya for that. Being in the beautiful market of Sirith was like a goldmine for a thief (though a very dangerous one at that). Beartooth was quite amazed by something the shops and booths they passed. She admired the beauty of the crafts, and then instantly thought of what their value would be if she stole them.
Banshee’s question made Beartooth pause for a moment. She looked over to the mare, a small smile curling her lips. “I could ask the very same of you, Banshee,” the thief replied. Beartooth wasn’t placing her full trust in Banshee to carry through with the plan, and she suspected Banshee was doing the same with her.
Another smile curled her lips. “Are you ready?” she asked Banshe in a hushed voice, turning her head to her partner once more.

At Beartooth's command, the two thieves set about doing what they do best. Sticky hooves pinch a little here, a little there, and before you know it your saddlebags are bursting with loot. Gems will sell for a high price in the lower continents, and the art you've managed to snitch will surely catch a few grand among those pompous Aodhians. It's almost the perfect crime... what a shame that Ciarra is on to you both. As Beartooth catches the chimera's eye, she realizes the jig is up. But a good thief isn't just good at pickpocketing.
They're also hella good at running.
The chase is on! Run for your little pony lives... and wealth. Try not to run into any groups, too. That could be bad.
