[ Nilam ]
A day of wanting to relax had turned into a morning of Ila kicking him out of bed and telling him to get ready to head out for the bar. You’re meeting up with someone, so you need to look presentable. Those words leaving her mouth automatically guessing she’d set him up on some blind date. Fun. It was definitely like her to get his ass back for all the ones he had set her up on, though it was her turn to have the last laugh. That was what he got for being an older brother and messing around with her for laughs.
Was he excited? Barely, if he had to admit. Nilam had been a mess waking up, so his sister made him wash himself before she had run a comb through his tangled mess of a mane and tail. Pretty. She had joked and told him he definitely looked so, enjoying his face of annoyance he had on him. He was not pretty, or cute or any of which she chose to tease him with. What he was was clean and brushed, with his feathered wings smoothed out before he stretched them and gave himself a shake.
That’d been some time earlier, the Fury then sitting at a seat in the bar while sipping at a drink he’d ordered for himself. Ila never did tell him who he was meeting up with, but considering he and his sister looked nearly identical minus the fact that his coat looked much toastier than her own lighter one, he was sure his date would have no problem finding him whenever that would be. Was this someone he already knew, a complete stranger? Maybe one of Ila’s friends. There were a few who he hoped she didn’t toss in his direction, even if just for the jokes. He wasn’t picky on gender, more on the person themself, and if it was someone he couldn’t really stand then Ila was having her own ass kicked upon his return to home.
But the bar was filled with other people and no one ever came by to greet him other than a small nod or ‘hello’ here and there for to be polite. Had his ‘date’ forgotten or hadn’t cared? Were they just late? Nilam heaved a sigh, releasing the breath of air he’d held in his lungs for a moment too long and downed the rest of his drink. By the time anyone appeared, he was sure he’d be completely wasted.

Someone had set her up on a date. A date? That never happened, and honestly, she didn't know what to think of it. Some random mare came up to her while she was wandering the market looking for some nice cooking ingredients. She didn't even ask for Kat's name before blurting out a bunch of words. Something along the lines of going to a bar for a blind date. I mean, she was flattered, no doubt, but still. Was it a trap? Was it someone who wished to do her harm?
Those questions kept nagging her while she walked to the mentioned bar. She didn't know what the hell the person she was going to meet looked like other than a brief description she was able to glean from that crazy woman. A Fury, no doubt about it. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. Kat had found most Furies to be... how to say this... wild? They had great skills and minds, but they were very daring, sassy, and tended to take dangerous risks just for kicks. Either that or they were downright crazy. If she met a Fury who didn't act like that, that would be the day she would be surprised. But so far, she hadn't met one like that.
If anything, she reckoned they would be drunk right about now. Walking into the bar was like entering another world. It was loud, too loud for her, the place smelled of drink, and Kat was not pleased. She wasn't much of a drinker to start with, but this atmosphere was part of the reason she stayed away from bars in the first place. That and everyone tried to hit on her for some reason.
She spotted her date immediately, though unfortunately, he was downing a drink and from the look of him, it wasn't his first. Greattttt...
"Hello. Are you the Fury that the mare talked about? I have to say, she was quite rude, given the circumstances." While she spoke, she slide into a seat next to him, motioning to the bartender to get.... something for her.
