Avocado|War Forged Valkryie
Today for Avocado Citrus of the Clan of Karpos was a normal day. She woke up in the barracks, which were heartbreakingly empty thanks to her sisters in arms going to save the War Forged ambassador from the Talori. She had thrown her pelt over her shoulders, eyed the sky, and set out.
Her hooves had thundered against the cobbled ground as the buckskin dun unicorn trotted down the avenue, her ears flicking as she moved. The citizens of Skeldr watched her with a brazen upturn to their noses. She rolled her eyes. If they had anything against her, they could come up and test their mettle against her. She would guarantee they would hit the dirt in just a few seconds.
Ava turned out of Skeldr, entering the frantic atmosphere of the markets. She tried to crane her head over the crowd, pushing past the crowding bodies on either side of her. She knew where she was going. With a deepset sigh, she shoved out of the stream of horses pouring from all sides. She moved towards a familiar stall, where one of her many adopted siblings waved at her from a distance then went back to the customer they were servicing. Ava dipped her head to the customer, a small smile crossing her scarred face as she softly bumped her sibling in greeting before continuing on.
She had come to look. Not really buy.

Alun | War-forged | Traveling Merchant
Alun trotted down the street of the marketplace, enjoying watching the constant commotion of the environment. He'd been raised in it all, all the bustling businesses and constant movement of customers. He'd only recently gotten in from a small trip the evening before, he'd dropped all of his various items off with his father, getting time to enjoy the company of the older stallion. It was nice to be able to do so, ever since his father transitioned to a stationary merchant he and Alun had gotten increasingly less time to be able to spend with one another as Alun himself grew more comfortable with longer trips and his independence. Today the young stallion had decided he wanted to spend at least a part of his day checking out the various shops and goods the other establishments had. He didn't plan too much on buying things, he mostly just enjoyed window shopping and seeing the goings-on of the place. One never knew who or what to expect in a place so diverse, filled with equines from all walks of life and attitudes, some were just plain and simple customers wanting to pick up whatever it was they came there for, some were merchants, both travelers, such as himself, and stationary, all trying to peddle their goods to make a living, some were farmers, there to sell their produce, they were something of a merchant as well. Then there were others like himself, who didn't have the largest of inklings to buy, sell, or do both. Interactions were interesting to see as well, the bargaining for the best price on both the side of the vendor and buyer, the odd thief getting trounced, personal relations, and much more. What a place to be.

Avocado|War Forged Valkryie
Ava released a deep breath, her tail whipping the air behind her as she slowly moved down the way, craning her head back to look at the various wares as she moved along the crowded avenue. A certain stall got her attention. Weapons.
A pair of blades caught her attention. Obviously meant to be wielded together, they were like long cleavers in a way. She looked up at the sign above the weapons, not noticing how the flow of traffic parted around her, some of the horses hissing about how she was in their way.
The merchant manning the stall caught her eye, beginning to wave her over. She parted from the crowds, peering over the assembled weapons. They were all very nicely made. But the blades continued to catch her attention. Good Kaia she wanted them. But she hadn't brought any shards. She worried her lip between her teeth, tail twitching against the ground.
She waved the merchant back over, pointing at the blades with a hoof.
"50 shards for the pair. " A quiet hiss of air.
Shit. She couldn't buy them.

Alun | War-forged | Traveling Merchant
Alun strode forward, his short white tail flicking back-and-forth ever so slightly as he made his way along the street. His pale palomino head roved around as he looked at all he could, trying to savor what he could. As the stallion progressed in his route, he instinctively slowing as he got closer to a stall that appeared to sell weapons, Alun paused from his somewhat distant place from the stall, far enough to quite obviously not be a patron, but close enough to get a good place to gaze at the shiny items. Though the palomino never particularly had an interest in purchasing weapons for his own use, he being a merchant and attempting to take a pretty lax leash on life, besides his career of course, taking a look at the weapons was certainly a good type that was able to capture his attention. Shiny, what more could a golden-furred horse with a career in picking out things of value want? Being sharp and dangerous was an innate plus to him that was likely a by-product of being a born and raised member of the War-forged, he couldn't exactly deny it. This stall certainly had fine craftsmanship to boot, definitely a vendor Alun could appreciate. As he stood off to the side of the stall, he couldn't help but overhear a small exchange going on between a customer and the vendor of the little stall, it didn't have much substance to it, but the blades did seem to be rather expensive, the pair the unicorn mare pointed to being valued at 50 shards, not too bad for a good set, but eh. He had a few shards on him, but nowhere near close to that.

Ava didn't notice the large palimino stallion. She picked up the blades in her dark green teke, identifying them as bayonets. She twirled them briefly, slashing down with them.
A nearby stallion snorted in disgust. The buckskin unicorn whirled on him, head held high. He blinked, as if not expecting her to hear him, before turning away, not before harshly whispering
"Valkryie" Ava snorted, bouncing up onto her back legs briefly.
You better hope to Kaia I don't find you later! She yelled in her head, before calmly replacing the blades back to where they were before. Then, sharp, bright green eyes lifted from their shiny surface, eyeing the palamino. Ava dipped her head, then went back to studying the blades. Wondering if she could scrape together enough to buy them.

Alun | War-forged | Traveling Merchant
Alun's golden eyes widened at the display, that was definitely intriguing. It wasn't exactly everyday a mare started playing with weapons and likely knew exactly how to use them. Society and all that, Alun mentally shrugged it off, it took too much effort to actively decide where he stood on such trivial things. The palomino briefly reflected on the fact he probably shouldn't touch weapons, he'd be far more likely to put his own eye out than actually use them for their intended purpose...he was strong and sturdy, befitting what he needed for his rank and that was about it. Hearing the faint whisper from afar, he wasn't exactly sure if he'd heard the unicorn mare correctly, Alun raised an eyebrow as he thought to himself, 'Valkryie--?' He knew Valkryies were a rank of female warriors that War Lord Hira had created, they weren't the most numerous, but definitely one of the topics of contention in his herd. Again, something he just didn't feel the need to concern himself with, he didn't want to fight if he could avoid it, let those who want to do so. Feeling genuinely curious, Alun picked his way towards the mare, maybe he could at least get some company, he wasn't sure how friendly she would be, but he could only try his best? It would definitely be a long day at the markets without anyone to talk to.

Avocado|War-Forged Valkryie
Avocado was chewing her lip when the stallion came over. She jumped slightly, her head swivelling to look at him as she immediately placed the bayonets down.
She nodded to the stallion, bright green eyes roaming him for a second. Large. Short mane. Fluffed hooves. Amber eyes. Subtly muscular. And with a variety of different scents. Merchant then, and judging by the muscles, a travelling merchant. Unless he was just a merchant who occasionally got a good workout. Which could be a possibility.
It was only then that Ava realized she was staring and sheepishly looked away, tail twitching. She then looked back up at the stallion, arching a brow.
Did you require something good sir? Or were you going to insult her as well.

Alun | War-Forged | Traveling Merchant
In his approach, Alun briefly wondered if approaching the mare was a smart idea, she seemed a bit annoyed, but shrugged it off knowing he could simply move on if the need arose. Coming closer to the mare, Alun was able to take a better look at the mare, she was a pretty and pale dun with an appaloosa blanket. She appeared strong and intimidating, in both her build and her piercing green eyes that matched her unicorn horns. Certainly someone that could easily intimidate if the need arose. Alun was typically not one to shy, he was large and more than used to others in his herd and a colorful array of personalities through his job. Reaching the unicorn, Alun smiled at the mare, his golden eyes glinting good-naturedly, “Hey,” he greeted. With a brief glance from her to the weapons of the stall he took another moment to take them in, they really were quite nice.

Ava hummed her greeting, slowly reaching up to rub her face scar a bit with her knee. It still pained her greatly. She puffed out a breath, one ear ticking forwards.
Her tail gave a small twitch, before realizing this guy would probably think her rude for not answering. The last thing she needed was some pissed off stallion on her ass.
"Hi. " She said simply, voice rusty with disuse. It made her wince, how her unused voice grated at her throat. Gods above that hurt. But she would need to speak to this guy.
"You see what happened. " She whispered, which felt better on her sore throat. Her tail ticked in tune with her nervous heart flutters. Not that this guy gave them to her, she was nervous as to how she was going to be treated. It wouldn't be the first time, and it probably wouldnt be the last either.
