♡ NATHANIEL ♡ apprentice (farmer) | colt | he/him
- It's a humid fall day that's beginning to turn into a chilly night, fog rolling in over the mountains already. Nate whistles to himself in the fields of their family farm, the fading sunlight doesn't even phase him but what does is a figure in the distance, whom he figures is his father returning home from a mission, and the winged teen trots through the rest of his work. Nathaniel couldn't wait to greet his father, eager to hear anything involving adventure that his father might have to say. It made him wonder when Amber would come back to tell them about training, he wanted to hear that too. Plus his sister was one of his favorite equines, and they got along pretty well.
- By the time he was done watering the rest of his row Nate's hooves were nearly dancing in excitement, and once he gently set everything down he rushed around the plots and the side of their house towards the figure. If he had been street smart, something Uncle Thedus might say, he might've been cautious about approaching a mere silhouette in the distance. They could be a stranger, or worse a cultist. Nate continued on anyways flitting along excitedly, and upon getting closer he realized that it was not his father but Amber! "AMBER!" He called picking up to a canter, his feathers fluffing up with joy. "You're home! How was training? Was it super fun? Did you slay any monsters or, or maybe even catch a bad guy?" He barely took a breath before continuing, "Are you okay? The bad guy didn't hurt you did he? Well I mean if you did catch one." his eagerness showed through his entire being, even his words.

Amber Valkyrie | Female (She)
Amber trudged home wearily, stuck between happy she would finally be able to sleep somewhere cozier than the ground and loathing that her uncle would probably give her speech about the gash she sported on her shoulder. Her eyes had bags under him, having barely slept as their failed mission to the summit of mount Skeldr plagued her dreams. It was slightly better now, Kaia having reached out to her, but it still was heard seeing the image of Liam lying dead in front of her mind’s eyes. She was so tired that she didn’t even notice her brother, not until he was screaming. Loudly. Why was he so loud again? She tried to look stern to show she disapproved of his behavior, but it turned more into a weird half smile as the colt nearly vibrated with excitement. The questioning itself hurt though. She was too tired for this and her wound -though taken care of by a medic- ached. Stupid magical flying weapons. She blinked owlishly at that thought. By Kaia, in what kind of reality had she ended up in? She managed a quick “Hey, Nate” in greeting. Nathaniel was still babbling and she figured she needed to give him something if he was going to shut up. She did quite like that he seemed just as excited to hear of her adventures as those of any stallion. Like it was normal. There were no words for how much she appreciated that, even though she never said it out loud. She didn’t want him to know she had failed, so she just nodded, showing her shoulder. “He got me a little bit, but it’s nothing to worry about. We beat him after all.” Him being a flying axe. It seemed so surreal. Nathaniel absolutely didn’t need to be worrying about things like that. Her flaring emotions, protectiveness over her brother, attracted a nearby mouse, curiously peaking from between the crops Nate had been watering before. An owl landed awfully close and a firefly landed on Nathaniel’s nose. Great, Amber thought snidely, just what she needed. She would be needing practice to get this under control. Post 1 | 358 words
