[ Nilam ]
Somehow, Ila always managed to get her brother to get out of bed or to go out and do something for her. That morning, it’d been both. She’d given him a sweet smile and asked nicely for him to go out and get the both of them some herbal tea. That girl loved her tea, but Nilam also loved his bed. Damn women. But Nilam, I went out the last time. Won’t you be a dear, Brother, and get us some tea? His wings twitched irritably while he walked through the streets of the city, mumbling some mocking words to himself under his breath. Maybe he ought to dump something unpleasant in her tea, see how she liked that. It was a thought that brought a smile onto his face, but he kept his focus on getting to the little tea shop they often went to.
He loved his sister, regardless of how much of a pain in the ass she could be. It was why he was out running such an errand for her. There wasn’t much she didn’t do for him, so even with his sack of lazy bones, he dragged himself out of bed to fly over to the city. He really couldn’t say he wasn’t up for some tea anyways, and possibly some biscuits he could snatch up for them to bring back home. Biscuits and tea were always a good combination and Ila would probably appreciate it unless she scolded him on spending on what wasn’t necessary. Biscuits with your tea is always necessary. A small chuckle left him in an amused sound, stepping past those on the streets to not bump into them.
His wings stretched out carefully, again avoiding those around so he didn’t smack them, before he tucked them neatly against his back and puffed out a breath. There were a few who greeted him politely as he passed, Nilam returning the gesture with a smile or nod of his head. Some looked familiar, some were those who often went around at that time when he and Ila went to their shop for specific teas, and others were complete strangers. Still, it was nice to say hello and be cheery. A lot of the people in their faction were so nice, so it was only fair to return such a favour.
The tea shop soon came into view, Nilam perking up at the sight. The sooner he got the tea and biscuits, the sooner he could get home and lounge around. There was not much he had to do that day, so unless Ila dragged him out and about for anything else she had planned, his lazy butt was going to be settled nicely on a couch.

Daydream That day had been one of the few days Camille got off from work. This meant that she was able to sleep in for a couple extra hours, though, that didn't happen since she her body was so used to getting up early. She had decided it would be nice to go and get some tea from a local place, maybe even pick up one of their desserts if she was especially hungry. It was rare that she had time to have a proper breakfast in the morning and the idea of such an occurrence was quite a nice one. Lifting herself up and out of bed, she started her morning routine. She took her time, however, since there wasn't any rush. After getting dressed, Camille headed to the front of her small place and checked the ground in front of the door for any mail. She bent down to pick it up and started going through it. There was a letter from her little sister, who had been sending her them for weeks now since she had been practicing her writing. The printing was a bit difficult to read, yes, but Camille still smiled down at the endearing letter. She left it on a shelf in the entranceway and made a mental note to reply to it sometime that day. Everything seemed to be taken care of around the house and so that left Camille to head out and grab her tea. She had finished getting ready and was now stepping out into the bright sunlight. It was a lovely morning as most where in Sedo. It was still early so it wasn't as hot as usual and Camille thought the temperature to be just right for her. She locked the door to her flat and then made her way down the front steps. It was a relatively short trip to the small tea place and Camille never minded walking. She strolled down the dry streets of the city, occasionally smiling at anyone who recognized her. Most people she knew were from the glass shop, regular customers who were there quite often. Approaching the tea place, she spotted someone familiar looking in the corner of her eye. She turned her head to get a better look at who it was and realized it was Nilam. They had met a few other times and she decided to say hello. She sped up her pace and was soon catching up with him so that they were now walking beside each other. "Hey," she greeted him with a smile.

Nilam pulled out a small pouch he had of crystal shards to see how much Ila had tossed him, counting them up as he slowed his pace. Enough for a couple small bags of different herbal teas, and enough for a bit of biscuits. He paused momentarily, tightening the string on the pouch and putting them back inside his pocket nicely. As he was about to take a step forward, someone spoke out to him from behind that got him to jump up a bit, feathers on his wings sticking out when he spun around to see the girl who had spoken.
“Ah, hey!” he returned with a soft laugh, rubbing the back of his neck with a hand. His first guess had been his sister sneaking up on him, but this was not Ila. What was her name again? Camille? He really needed to get better at putting names with faces, he realized. She was some girl he’d met a few times before while out for work or while tagging along with Ila. A glass crafter, if he remembered correctly.
The boy flashed her a smile, reaching behind him to smooth out his wings and tuck them back against his sides. “I was just going to the tea place to pick up some tea and biscuits for my sister,” he explained to her, glancing over his shoulder and pointing to the little tea shop behind him. “She was really in the mood for some tea so, here I am.” Rather than in his bed like he’d wanted to be. One day, Ila. I will stay in bed and there’s nothing you can do about it. He blinked, glancing back to the girl in front of him.
“How about yourself? Are you out running errands too, or just taking a stroll around the city?” It was a nice day for that, Nilam would agree. The sun was warm but there was a cool breeze that rolled by every now and then. “If you would like to join me, you may… I’ll only be a few moments,” he offered her, tipping his head to one side. Or was she busy? He didn’t want to keep her or waste her time from what she may have had to do that day. Still, the offer was nice even if she did end up rejecting it.

Daydream
A small sense of guilt washed over Camille after realizing she had startled Nilam, her cheeks going red for a moment, "Sorry, didn't mean to startle you," she explained quickly. He didn't seem to be upset, which was definitely a relief to her. They had only talked a couple times and she didn't want to already be making him uncomfortable, she just thought it would be nice to say hello since she had run into him. Upon hearing that he was headed to the same place she was, she smiled up at him. "That's very kind of you to be up so early to get her tea," she commented. She would have probably done the same for her little sister or parents now that she considered it. "I am actually on my way there as well, thought I'd get a snack or something," she said as she walked alongside the man. She hadn't expected him to ask her to tag along and it she nodded with a small smile. "Yeah, sure," she said after a moment of thinking about anything she needed to get done for the day. "Today is one of my few days off so I might as well enjoy it," she added, laughing softly. She felt like she was almost always in the glass shop, whether or not she was actually working. There was never a day where there wasn't something to do and Camille couldn't say no to her mom asking for assistance. She had hoped to start training her little sister in the art so that she could help out as well. Camille loved her job, she did, but sometimes she wanted to stay as far away as possible from the place. That got her thinking and she soon noticed that she didn't actually know what Nilam did for 'work'. "I hope you don't mind me asking, but what do you do?" she questioned as they neared the tea place. It didn't seem to be too crowded and Camille always enjoyed a quiet space when she was constantly around her loud family. And there would definitely be seating if they chose to stay.

An amused grin tipped up the corners of his mouth, spotting the blush painting a faint red over her cheeks. “Startled? Pfff, I wasn’t started at all,” he lied with a wave of his hand. The boy chased Thunderbirds for a living, and hobby, yet the smaller girl managed to get him to fluff up. Like he was going to admit that. He just let the conversation go by, hoping she wouldn’t catch onto that and insist she startled him.
“It is very nice of me,” he did agree, stepping along side of her while they made the rest of the way to the tea shop together. “Ila wouldn’t get far in life without me. I’m just the best brother there is out there.” But I’m going to kill her for getting me out of bed each and everyday. It was a thought he rolled over in his innocent mind, a smug smile hiding just beneath the surface. He loved his sister, but they certainly got on one another’s nerves a lot. He blinked, looking back at the girl and raising a brow. “Really? Well in that case, I would love to have the company if you’d like to join me.” Since Ila tossed him out alone on such a long and rough journey for tea. He could even treat her to something if she was up for it.
Nilam stepped ahead, opening the door to the little shop for her to walk in first. “I get what you mean. I haven’t got much to do, so apart from picking up some tea for Ila, it’s really it,” he admitted, stepping in once she did and letting the door shut behind him. It was a cute tea shop, one that his sister always insisted on going to or dragging him along with her. He ‘hm’ed softly, stepping aside to get out of anyone else’s way while he and Camille chatted along.
He chuckled, pointing at himself with his thumb. “Me? I like going after Thunderbirds and my sister thinks I’m crazy for it. My job mostly is to protect the herd from the and keep them safe, but I like to go after them in my time off. Otherwise, I go along with my sister when she’s on her own duty.” And it was fun when they got to travel together unless he happened to wake up on the wrong side of the bed that day. “And you? You craft things from glass if I remember correctly, right? That’s honestly really cool. I love going around and seeing all the unique stuff you guys make.” Even if he didn’t understand how or did it himself. Everyone had their own talents, and his was just playing tag with the Thunderbirds.

Daydream
Camille was more than reassured to hear he hadn't been startled by her, though, she couldn't quite believe the statement entirely. She decided not to push the subject and just found his reaction amusing. Hearing him refer to himself as the best big brother, she let go of a small laugh. "Your modesty is astounding," she said sarcastically with a smile. She hoped her sarcasm wouldn't come across as mean-spirited, as that was the opposite of her intentions. Camille was rarely spiteful or vindictive, it wasn't her nature. She did, however, enjoy teasing people. She nodded to him with a small smile as she slipped past the held door and into the tea shop. It was quaint and quiet, just the way she liked things. She followed Nilam towards the side of the place. She looked up at him as he spoke and rose her eyebrows at the explanation she had received regarding his job. "I don't think crazy is the exact word I'd use for that," she laughed before continuing, "but that does sound kinda cool." She had a relatively 'tame' job and it definitely did not involve anything of that sort. Customer service did get kinda scary at times, though. "Yeah, I work at my mom's glass workshop and boutique. We mostly make glass bottles and other objects because they sell the best, though I do enjoy creating small glass animals. They're quite cute," Camille explained. She enjoyed her work and telling other people about it. She then looked up at the different teas you could buy and decided on getting some sort of blueberry one and a peppermint. Those were her two favourites and she knew she could not go wrong with either. "What kinda tea does your sister like?" she asked him, running her hands through her long hair as she stood there. She then placed her hands in the pockets of her blue sundress, still looking at all of the stuff they had even though she knew most of it. She preferred tea over most drinks because it was great both warm and cold. Having a good cold drink other than water was quite useful in the harsh climate of Sedo.

You hear that, Ila? She thinks I’m astounding. You should learn from her, he’d thought to himself with a grin, sarcasm or not coming from the girl in front of him. He’d caught onto it as the words rolled from her lips, but took no offense from it. A joke, right? Nilam was able to handle a couple of those, especially when he got enough from his younger twin.
“Not crazy?” he mused, turning over the thought in his head. “What word would you use then? Brave? I would say so. Not a lot of people have a pair to go running after those birds.” A joke, though he stood up taller with his chest almost puffed out as if he were proud of himself. Full of himself? At that moment he could have seemed like so, really only adding it for show if anything. “It is cool. If I could, I would show you some day.” If she had a pair of wings or he could carry her to take her. She couldn’t be that heavy, could she?
It was nothing he chose to ask, finding it kind of weird to even think of asking someone such a question that he barely knew and because he was paying attention to what she was speaking while she ordered her own tea. “Glass animals? I think that’s interesting. I bet Ila would love stuff like that,” he admitted, wondering if he could possibly buy something of the sort from the shop she spoke of. “Glass work takes a lot of focus, time and practice.” And patience, all of which he probably didn’t have. He was too lazy, too busy chasing stupid birds, and definitely too much of a procrastinator. He barely even remembered to clean his room, how would he ever craft anything?
Nilam watched the girl, chewing on his lip momentarily before peeking over at the different sort of teas. “Mostly herbal teas,” he told her. “They’re very relaxing and they taste good, so I see why she likes them.” It was what he picked out, plus the biscuits he couldn’t resist and had craved the entire way over. “Would you like for me to get you anything, Camille?” he offered, glancing at her. It was definitely nice to ask, or to at least pay for the stuff she had wanted. He barely did know her, but he still wanted to be polite.

Daydream Camille's eyes lit up at the thought of getting to witness that. It sounded super cool and interesting. She had never been able to fly and it looked more than fun. She was quick to agree to the proposition, nodding her head, "I'd love that." Camille smiled up at him and brushed her hair behind her ear. "And maybe just a little bit crazy. Small amount though," she laughed, holding up her fingers and moving them apart by about a centimetre. She did think it was brave in a way to go after birds in the sky, though she wondered how dangerous it really was. It didn't sound all that safe and he had probably gotten an injury or two from it she guessed. "Glass animals like dolphins or cats are more fun than plain old boring bottles anyways," Camille commented as he told her that his sister might enjoy such things . "I struggled with the focusing part, not one of my specialities," she said with a small grin. She then walked up to order her tea, getting a small container of blueberry and one of mint as well. Herbal tea didn't sound too bad either. She was quite particular about the foods and drinks she liked, however, and usually stuck to what she knew. "Oh no, I got it, but thank you for the offer," she replied, smiling at him as she reached inside her bag and grabbed a couple coins to pay for the tea. She set them down onto the counter and waited to get her change before putting her bag away once again. Then, she grabbed the two containers of tea and placed them inside as it as well. "Those biscuits look good, are you getting a few?" She asked him as she waited just slightly off to the side for him to order since she had just gotten all of her own stuff. It was nice to speak to someone in a casual environment who wasn't a customer or wasn't a family member. She spent more than enough time talking to family and sometimes she just wanted a break from it all, really. Though, that wasn't to say she didn't absolutely love them with all of her heart, as she did. There was nothing more important to her than her family.

“Some of the more crazy things in life are the most fun,” he told her, her motion with her hand getting the tiniest laugh from him. He wasn’t going to deny some of the things he did was a bit crazy, but he was a warrior at heart and some of those crazy things, especially if dangerous, couldn’t scare him away. Granted, chasing after Thunderbirds wasn’t so much his job as it was protecting their faction from them, but he would argue it was the same thing. Still, he would make it his job as well to at least show her one day if she was up for the some crazy, dangerous fun with him. He would protect her, keep her safe, and be scolded at the end of that day by his sister when he arrived home battered and bruised.
He chuckled, leaning against the counter while the girl besides him got the teas she was interested in. “Some people may enjoy those plain old boring bottles,” he told her with a light tease in his tone, pushing some of his hair out of his face to get it out of the way. “I understand what you mean. Not only are they more appealing to the eye, but they seem like more of a challenge to make-- Not that I know how to make a simple bottle anyways,” he added in quickly, holding one hand out as he shrugged his shoulders, “But I think you get what I’m going at.” Her comment about her lack of focus made him smile in amusement. He knew what that was like.
Her turning down his offer of paying for her items turned his smile into a brief frown, but he allowed it to go with a small nod of his head as he accepted her decision. “It’s no problem at all,” he explained, allowing for her to pay for her teas before moving over to pay for his. He paused when she asked about the biscuits, glancing over at her while pulling out his shards to pay for the items, thinking. Would she turn him down if he bought her some biscuits? Only for that reason did he not ask her when he snatched up a few more to add with the rest, smiling innocently as he paid. That should answer her question. “They are really good,” he promised her, grabbing the bag once he put his pouch away and finished paying to step over to her.
Reaching into it, he pulled out one of the packs of biscuits and held it out at her. “Here you go. Since you didn’t let me pay, I thought you may at least like these with your tea,” he explained, his green eyes glinting with amusement since he hoped she wouldn’t tell him no that time. All he’d wanted was to be nice, and he’d had enough for a bit extra. Plus she had seemed interested in them, so he wasn’t the kind of person to be selfish and eat up all the biscuits while not offering a friend some.

Daydream Camille had never done anything truly crazy, unless you counted her last boyfriend. He had been too old for her at the time and she never liked thinking about it for long. It had been her biggest regret to date. He was trouble and she should have known better than to go after him. But was that actually all that crazy? Camille wanted to do more with her life, be less boring and do something other than work. Maybe this was her chance. "Bottles aren't as fun as animals. No one can tell me otherwise," She insisted stubbornly with a small laugh. It was definitely more engaging to work on a little dog versus a standard bottle used to store things or hold liquids. Though, that's what they mainly sold since it was most popular. She had also exported these bottles for trade outside of the city. Once they had both gotten their tea and Nilam his biscuits, she turned turned to him for what they were to do next. In the mean time, he extended his hand out and offered her a pack of the cookies. They did look pretty damn good. She accepted the offer and took the bag from his hands. "Thanks, I'll definitely enjoy them," she said, smiling up at him as she placed them with her teas in her leather bag. Now that they had finished with what they set out to do that morning, Camille wasn't sure if she would go home or end up continuing her walk some more. "Well, if you're uh, ever free and wanna do something...I'm around," she said as she bit her lip, nodding slightly since she didn't really know what to do. She wasn't exactly asking him out on a date and it was meant to be more platonic versus romantic. However, she wouldn't complain if he took it that way and accepted the proposition. He was nice enough and relatively good looking, if she was being completely honest with herself. There were worse men out there. "But if I'm keeping Ila from her tea right now I'll let you go," she joked, before running her fingers through her blonde hair.

He liked the attitude the girl came with, the corners of his lips tipping up into a smile. Stubborn and full of determination. “Oh, I wouldn’t dream on telling you otherwise,” he mused, shaking his head.”I may be a fury, but I’m not about to have my ass get beaten by a girl. Imagine how much that would damage my pride.” Nil laughed at his own joke, his tongue poking out teasingly at Camile. She was allowed to have her own view on things and no one should be allowed to destroy them.
There was no more said on the topic when he’d pulled out biscuits to hang them over to her, his smile growing and brightening up his face when she actually took them from him rather than turning him down. At least she chose to not hurt his poor feelings that day because, he may have been tough both inside and out, but it didn’t mean his feelings couldn’t be hurt. “I’m hoping you will enjoy them-- Just don’t come back and haunt me if you end up not liking them,” he laughed, rubbing the back of his neck with his hand. “I say they’re good, but that’s just what I think. Maybe you think they’re terrible.” He cast a quick look to the guy he’d paid previously for the teas and biscuits, feeling his glare piercing through his back though his words were not meant to be an insult. Whoops.
He stretched his wings awkwardly, turning his head away and peering into the bag just to make sure he had gotten everything. The bag was then tucked neatly in the crook of one arm, leaning against his side when Camile spoke up again and he glanced at her. One brow lifted, a mischievous grin on his face. “My, my, Camile. Are you asking me out on a date. I’m flattered and all, but damn. I don’t think I can do that. This heart has already been stolen.” That was one of the times he knew Ila would call him a jerk, or an ass if she preferred. He knew she hadn’t been asking him on a date, simply to hang out as friends. He just had to toss out a joke here and there. Plus, him having anyone? It had to be the biggest joke out there.
The boy stepped closer to her, giving a nudge with the elbow that wasn’t holding onto the bag of items he purchased. “I was joking, Camile. Of course I would like to do something,” he explained, more serious as his tone softened with hopes that he hadn’t insulted her. He honestly would have felt terrible and gone home to sulk after dumping the teas on his sister and then crawling to his room. “I’m free now. Ila can wait. It wouldn’t be the first time I’ve been late, so I don’t mind being out a bit longer. So, if you’re up for something and have nothing better to do… then we can find something to do.” He gave her a big smile, more hopeful than anything. If she ended up being the one to turn him down then, there wasn’t much he could do. He tried.

Daydream Camille gave a soft chuckle as he made very clear it wasn't his fault if the biscuits were not up to her standard. "I'm more than sure they'll be delicious," she said with confidence. She hadn't ever tried them previously, but she had always wanted to since they looked more than appetizing and she often came in for tea. She trusted the baker's skills and was quite excited to finally get a taste.
His response to her next question took her off guard and she was instantly blushing. This, however, didn't mean she was surprised by it. She couldn't tell if he was joking about the last part about his heart being stolen and it made her curious. It took a moment for her to collect herself so she could form a reply. "While I'm sure going on a date wouldn't be the worst thing ever, I did mean it platonically," she said, laughing quietly to try and pretend she wasn't completely embarrassed.
Camille couldn't help but smile when he accepted the offer finally. She was glad that he was only joking and didn't mean all of that. It was a relief. She didn't think she could handle the awkwardness between them if he had taken it as a romantic gesture. "Let me see if I have anything today," she said before reaching into her small purse and taking out a leather book. She kept a daily to-do list that she would write the night, ensuring she never forgot something to do. She often put work commissions and appointments in there as well to have everything all in one place. She flipped to the most recent entry and didn't have to look far for what was left as she had a relatively slow day that day. "That's what I had to do...," she trailed off under her breath, realizing what it was that she had completely forgotten about until now. "I promised my own baby sister that I'd take her out for a picnic."
Placing the small book back into her purse, she adjusted the shoulder strap before looking up at Nilam. "As much as I don't want to, I think we'll have to reschedule for another time," she paused and looked at her watch. "I didn't think it would be so late, I should probably get going to go and meet her. Thank you again for the biscuits," she ran her fingers through her hair before putting a hand on his upper arm as a small gesture of thanks. She then waved a small goodbye and walked by him so she could make it to her parent's house in time.
