Come Together Now
That afternoon Camille had found herself somehow working, even though she had been promised the day off. It wasn't her usual work, no, but she was still running errands for the small glass shop her mother owned. They had run out of or just plain lost quite a few supplies over the months and it was about time they restocked. As she entered the shop, she made her way to the back to grab a saddle bag so she could carry all of the stuff properly. She placed it on her back and adjusted the straps, the bag now fitting snug around her barrel. Camille then took the list of needed supplies off of the counter and headed back out onto the city streets. She gave it a quick once over as she walked to make sure she wasn't going to forget anything. The first thing on the list was extra pliers and a couple measuring tapes. Now matter how many she picked up, they were always disappearing within weeks. There was a hardware store a few blocks away and if she remembered correctly, Camille estimated she would be there within 10 or 15 minutes. The sooner she picked up all of the supplies, the sooner she could enjoy her day off. She had wanted to take her little sister out on a picnic but it seemed that it would be best to leave it for another day at this point. Maybe instead she'd stop by the market to pick up some fresh fruit to make up for the cancelled plans. After a little bit more walking, Camille had finally reached the hardware shop and was opening up the door. The small bell at the top jingled and announced her presence to anyone else in the shop. She glanced over the list she had held out in front of her and began to be on the lookout for anything on it as she roamed the aisles. It was a relatively small space and since there was so much to buy, everything was packed quite tightly together. Camille had to be extra vigilant while walking navigating around so that she didn't accidentally knock anything over. Even though it had taken a bit longer than expected, she was still making good time by the time she was checking out all of her items. She merchant gave her the total in crystal shards and she took out a little over what was needed. She received her change and then was on her way to her next location. The hardware shop had most of what she needed, but they lacked the metallic salts needed for staining glass.

B R I N Y smell the ocean and feel the sky; let your soul and spirit fly The afternoon sun washed over the mare's back as she trotted down the packed sand of the city's roads. She was not a fan of the city; she always felt.. cramped It certainly was nothing like the open sands or depths of the ocean, that was for sure. The one thing, however, that she liked, was the people.
Oh, how she loved all the new potential friends around her. She made greetings with a chirp at all who passed, a smile plastered on her face and large ears pressed forward with delight. Her messy, curly mane bounced along her neck as she went, her tail swishing two and fro with each step. Her saddle bags bounced against her shoulders, set on his withers before the large shark fin that protruded from her back.
The mare paused as she felt a rustle in the bags, turning her attention to the straps. She giggled as her familiar, a Dwarf Caiman by the name of Riven, poked his head out of his side of the bag. His mouth opened in a large yawn, exposing rows of prickly teeth. His eyes squinted against the sun, blinking slowly as he looked toward Briny. He was a lazy little animal, always sleeping when he had the chance, but Briny's trot was not a smooth one.
Crawling out of his nest in the bag, the small crocodilian crawled onto the mare's neck and up to her poll. He clung to her fluffy hair, wrapping his short tail around her ear. There he sat, lazily chewing on the mare's striped locks. Chuckling to herself, Briny walked off once more, careful not to swing her head too fast as to not dump Riven from her head.
Bright eyes trailed over those who passed her, bustling off to stores or perhaps their jobs. It was then that her gaze landed on the bright coat of a young white mare. Briny recognized her from a small glass shop she frequented, but could she remember her name?
"Camille!" She shouted with a cheerful tone, hopping into a trot to catch up to the mare. If she was calling the wrong name, she could at least pretend she was going after someone else. Riven chirped in distress as he clung to the mare's hair, his small form flung around from Briny's sudden change in pace. Briny quickly slowed, leveling her head with a small laugh and apology to the little animal.

Come Together Now The small mare exited the dark and dusty shop, stepping back out into the bright light of the afternoon sun. She began to plan her route to her next stop when she could have sworn she heard her name being called out. She didn't know many people in Osulas and even fewer people knew her, never mind her name. Her ears perked in the direction of the sound before she completely turned her head. It was then that she realized that her mind wasn't just playing tricks on her and she did actually have someone trying to get her attention.
It didn't take Camille long to realize who was calling out her name. Briny, she believed her name to be. The boisterous mare was a character that was more than hard to forget. Her overall demeanour was one that Camille found pleasant and enjoyable to be around.
"Afternoon, Briny," she greeted her, walking around in a circle to go and properly say hello to the other mare. She approached her with a friendly smile, glad to talk to someone that wasn't her family for once. She could remember seeing her around in the glass shop a couple times and around the city in general. As she stood there, she opened up her saddle bag and stuffed the list of needed items into it before closing it back up.
Camille's eyes wandered to the mare's familiar, who sat on top of her. "Is that... a lizard?" she asked curiously, tilting her head to the side in slight confusion. Animals were never her speciality and she wasn't quite sure what it was. It looked vaguely lizard-like but she wasn't so sure because it also kind of looked like a baby alligator! This made her wonder if she should spend more time reading and less time working.

E M B Y R S S Member of the Seroran Council
Embryss walked down the streets of Osulas, enjoying the cooler afternoon sun and gentle breeze. It had been months since she had resigned her post as Ambassador and took up Councilor, and although war was on the horizon still, Embryss took every moment she could to enjoy her home and try to stay positive. Of course, always in the back of her mind she fretted for Serora. Embryss passed other Seroran’s in the street dipping her head in respect and smiled to them all. To some Serorans she was a newer face in the council, but word travelled quickly in Osulas and she realised she was being recognised.
Embryss had no particular agenda to attend to today. She entertained the idea of purchasing some glass chimes to hang at the entrance to her home as she was always fascinated by the twinkling lights they gave, so she slowly made her way over to one of the stalls. “Camile!” She did not recognise the name, but she would that voice from anywhere. Embryss turned her head and smiled before letting out a cheery ”Briny!”. Embryss trotted over to her best friend and greeted her warmly and giving a brief nuzzle. ”It is good to see you in the capital again! I hope you have been well!” she smiled, before turning to the stranger. Embryss dipped her head
”Apologies! I have not seen you in my travels before. Let me introduce myself, my name is Embryss, and you are?” Embryss smiled at Brinys (one of many) friend. The light shimmered on the stranger’s saddlebag and she recognised immediately that this horse was a glass crafter. Perfect ”I see you are a glass crafter? That’s good to know, I have been looking for some chimes and charms to hang at the entrance of my home.” She paused and smirked for a second, ”But lets leave business for later shall we. It’s a pleasure to meet you!”

Ila It's a beautiful day to greet both new and old friends alike It had been a fairly peaceful, warm as it always was, day. The rising of the early sun had dragged the family that Ila had begun to find and create alongside that of her (begrudging) twin brother out to do their own business and jobs, and Ila had gone and come back from doing her own. By afternoon, she had returned to the city to sell and hand over any valuables she had collected from the water. Long back hair was pushed back, diving goggles the color of her earring hoops that bobbed in her ear with every step of her cheerful perched on top of head. Her saddlebag, then empty of what she had found, clung to her golden sides. It had been a good day, one where she looked forward to eagerly returning to the city’s outskirts and embracing her newly adopted son and sitting down with her close friend Io to discuss their days while their boys played as babies did and as much as they could.
She could hardly wait to see their faces, to curl up in a cushion in the new living room they had all moved out to to be closer with that of the rest of her “family” she’d all but adopted into her own. While the Seroran people had always been close, it was her family by her own blood and friends that she gathered closest to her heart. She could picture them then, napping or reading and drinking tea in her living room. Maybe if she closed her eyes… just for a second… she’d already be there.
It was a nice thought to have, a sigh slipping past her lips, before her eyes did open as she made her way down the street. To avoid bumping into anyone, it was best to walk with her eyes open, yes? She giggled softly to herself, focused on getting home until a familiar face happened to catch her eye. The mare slowed down to a pause, her curled ears pricking as she watched another join her friend to nuzzle them. She couldn’t help but to smile, Briny always making friends in so many different places. Ila was honestly a little surprised to see her friend there at all. They had met in the city, yes, but she knew better than to think Briny would be there for long. Like the wind, she came and went.
Never too far, at least, for someone with wings. They shifted at her sides while she hesitated before making her way over, smiling brightly. “Briny! Friends,” she greeted warmly to the others, coming to stand beside them all. “Wind beneath your wings, friends I’ve yet to formally meet. How are you all on this lovely day?” She dipped her head slightly, smiling as she then lifted it back up to gaze at those around her.
“I’m Ila,” she introduced herself to those she didn’t know, needing as was obvious no introduction to Briny who they all seemed to have in common as a friend (no real surprise there, if she was honest). She wondered how they all knew her, curious enough to ask, though not bringing herself to as she made herself wait for their own introductions politely. She didn’t want to seem too nosy, too eager, to get to know those she’d decided to come and visit. She’d been wary on interrupting their conversation, afraid to overstep any boundaries and potentially walk all over a private discussion, but it’d been awhile since she’d been able to speak to her friend. She was happy to see that she, Briny, had others to speak to as well and appeared fine.

B R I N Y smell the ocean and feel the sky; let your soul and spirit fly The mare grinned as Camille greeted her, happy to know she had remembered her name correctly. She pulled her familiar from her head, holding his struggling form in her golden grasp as she presented him to the glass crafter with a shrug. "He's a Dwarf Caiman. His name is Riven." She replied, allowing him to struggle from her grasp and placing him on her shoulder. The tiny animal snapped at her mane before retreating back into the mare's saddle bags. It had been a mistake to come out.
Briny's smile turned to a lopsided grin as she noticed the supplies Camille was carrying. "Shopping day?" She asked, tipping her head in the direction of the white mare's bags.
It was then that she heard a familiar voice calling from behind her. Swiveling on her hooves, the gatherer's face instantly lit up. There she was, Embryss. Briny's best friend, the light of her life. If she could smile any larger, her lips would be to her ears. "EMBRYSS!" She giggled, bouncing over to her friend and wrapping her in a hug. It had been a while since they had seen each other, with Embyrss's promotion and Briny keeping busy as always, but she always felt as though their connection never wavered.
She didnt let the hug last long, stepping away as she shook her curly mane. "Its nice to see you again as well, my friend, im sure you're keeping busy!" She replied with a bob and flop of her ears and a wrinkle of her muzzle. She was so proud of her.
Her ears flicked in the direction of the sound of yet another familiar voice, her tail flicking behind her as she spotted her bright winged friend. "Afternoon, Ila!" She chirped, letting a peaceful sigh pass her lips. Oh, how lucky was she, to have all her friends in a little circle.

Come Together Now Camille took a good look at the tiny animal Briny held up, her eyes filled with curiosity as she studied it. Her brows furrowed for a moment before she straightened up her posture and collected herself. "Dwarf Caiman...interesting," she commented, offering the other mare a smile. She had never heard of such an animal before and thought it was awfully cute for some sort of lizard. Or maybe it was just a fancy way to say small alligator. Camille wasn't quite certain.
"Just a couple supplies 'n stuff," she explained when she was asked if she had gone out shopping. She then heard the voice of another mare and watched as she approached the two of them. She hadn't intended to talk to so many others this afternoon, though that was not something she was opposed to in any way. New friends were always welcome in her books.
After the mare introduced herself, Camille did the same. "I'm Camille," she started, "And yeah, I work in a tiny glass shop a couple streets down, you're welcome to stop by anytime," she explained with a warm expression. After living in Sedo her entire life, she couldn't think of a time where she felt unsafe or unwelcome in the streets of the city. There was a sense of community and family in the herd like no other and Camille couldn't imagine who would want to live elsewhere.
They were soon being joined by yet another, this time a golden pegasus with bright blue wings. "Camile," she said to the newcomer with yet another friendly smile. At this point, she wondered if she should get some sort of name tag to put on her chest. She was very excited to be meeting all these new horses, however, and was even more pleased to spend her afternoon talking with them.

A V E R Y of Serora
......
The time was in the afternoon, as the sun was setting over the rolling hills of sand. Groups of horses wandered into the town from their travels, while others walked back from work or wandered among the city. Among one of the workers was a baroque pinto named Avery. The sun beat down over his back, cursing his back with burns, growing irritated from movement of his saddlebag. Smaller tools and seeds settled in his bag. Lacking in water between travelling and working on lands near the river lead him to feel more exhausted than usual.
Exhaustion fell over the stallion from the day of working the field, preparing for food to be grown and for another passerby to pitch in on the crops. He didn’t mind working with or for others to help with their land, though it did wear him down. Physically he was weak, his ankles shuddering for the moment while the sun beat down on him. Still though he smiled to people passing by as he trudged on. Surely in town there would be someone willing to offer water. Silently he prayed Alya’s gift of rest and soft winds to blow over and cool his skin. However, he was met with the blazing sun and winds that pricked his back with specks of sand bouncing off his coat.
His tired eyes turned to those who passed him by however, granting those who looked at him a heartwarming smile to ensure they had at least one good thing about their day as he forced himself to walk in pain, seeming tired yet perceiving as though everything was fine. Upon wandering amongst other equines, focusing on brightening anyone else’s day but his own, he did not notice the group of equines chatting away, with one of them being a friend of his. The moment he took notice was too late, as he bumped into golden buckskin mare. Immediately he snapped himself in focus, though by that time the deed had been done. He wobbled on his feet, holding still in the end to keep from falling on his hindquarters. “Oh my,” Avery piped up, looking to the one he bumped into. It was Ila. He knew her through business and short conversation. A flustered feeling fell over him when he realized how foolish he must have seemed in that moment to her and to all of them, not to mention rude for interrupting their interactions. “My apologies, Ila. I’m afraid I was lost in thought.” He bowed his head to her to add to the apology, as well as greeting the others. His dark black and cream colored mane fell slightly forward with strands of hair spilling between his eyes. His ankles shook, yet he tried to control it in order not to inconvenience anyone.
