Well this sucked.
Her wing had felt funky since she'd preformed that really tight loop in practice today. She'd shrugged it off at first, temporary strains were normal for her when stretching her wings like that. But it hadn't gone away, and now she was flying back to her and Predwin's shared abode, her brother flying next to her as she felt her wing beats get just a little more strained.
After a quick discussion with her twin, he directed her to a medicine horse he'd met previously, and her dwelling. Saying a goodbye to her brother and a promise she'd be home soon and they split off from each other in the sky. She headed towards the center of Osulas, still in the air because she was a stubborn equine who wanted to get there quickly, wing be damned. As she descended and hit the ground without missing a stride, her right wing sent a throb of pain through that side as her massive vulture wings folded up.
This sucked AND she knew she'd be feeling it the next morning too.
It wasn't too hard to find Diana's "Nest", and soon Creosote was standing outside the doorway.
"Anyone home?" She called inside, knocking on the door frame with a dark colored hoof. Post #1 | Word Count: 213

Diana|| Medicine Horse
Last night hadn't been... the most exciting. Pulling an all nighter had not been a good idea. Diana sighed as she made her way from the back of the shop, her legs pulsing in protest.. Most of the night and early morning she had spent cleaning and re-organizing the Nook and the separate caves that connected. The rooms glittered with light as the sun beamed his rays through the cracks in the rock. The firelights within her lamp had been dimmed to small flicker, though it was mid-afternoon, the nook held a warm twilit glow. She had watered the herbs she kept in the special pots her dear friend Alari had made. She always smiled when she walked by them, it was as though a small part of her friend lit up the small part of the Nook. Many things with emotional value had found their way here, to bring her friends into the Nook to keep their love and voices mingling in her head.
Diana by mid morning was tired and ready to curl up and never come out, but she knew she couldn't do that. What if someone came in and needed care? Despite her best efforts, Diana had clonked out asleep the moment had hit the pillow of the bed for recovering patients. It wasn't until a knock at the door did Diana decide to wake.
Shooting up with a start, Diana jumped from the bed and looked around the corner, staring at the door as her mind raced to keep up with the information. It quickly registered that someone was at the door. Shaking her head to try and fix her sleep-ridden mane, Diana walked up to the door, and was greeted with the sight of a dunskin pegasus. Smiling slightly she bowed her head in a greeting, "How can I help you?"

Creosote was greeted in the doorway by a black roan mare with a black mane done up in a double loop.
This must be Diana. Creosote thought.
"My name is Creosote, my brother, Predwin, said you were a medicine horse?" The dunskin said, dipping her head in greeting, mirroring Di.
The fury shuffled slightly awkwardly. She never was good at admitting injury. Her jobs had made her more warm to the idea, after all, an injured Fury was a Fury risking the mission for their pride. For that she was grateful that the furies were like one big family, it made her feel better when she did get injured that the others would be understanding.
Realizing she hadn't explained what was wrong, she cleared her throat. "I uh, think I pulled a wing muscle in training today. I'm a fury, you see, so I can't really afford to be down long. Would you mind taking a look at it inside?"
She did a tiny flap of the black and white wing in question, one of her eyes twitched as she winced from the small amount of pain that brought. Hopefully it was just a pulled muscle and she hadn't torn anything. Post #2 | Word Count: 201

Diana || Medicine Horse
Diana listened to the mare as she explained her injury. Diana perked up slightly at the mention of the fury. She smiled slightly as her mind drifted back to the day when the very frazzled and scared Prid had -literally- burst in to her Nook, scaring the living day-lights out of her. Laughing inwardly at the thought, Diana turned her attention back to the dun in front of her, mentally noting the physical similarity between the mare and Prid. She deflated slightly at the mention of the pulled muscles, but shook her head with confirmation, "Of course! I understand that you furies hate to be on the ground for to long," she chuckled slightly, "I got a front row seat with Predwin." She turned around and moved out of the way and inside, allowing full access into the Nest. She quickly trotted to a back room and brought out a towl and warm stones that had rested within a "steamer" as she called it. As she bustled around she pointed to a small cave with a towel that was grasped in her teke. The cave was just big enough to fit a draft, but it held a mattress and a lamp that hung from the ceiling, illuminating it in a soft yellow glow. "You can go ahead and make yourself comfortable in that small cave over there," Diana peeked her head from around the corner, "Should be a good place for me to inspect and help the strained muscle."
With that Diana poked her head back into the cave, gathering the last few towels and stones.
