Thanatos | Outsider
In these long days the darkness had become more than a friend. It was comfort and protection, offering the only strand of safety he had felt since waking up in this new world. It was his partner and through it he was slowly discovering the gift Ignacio had blessed him with. Small specks of golden orbs floated around him, no bigger than pin pricks they offered very little light in the dark and dusty building. But it was comforting to know that Ignacio had not just left him with nothing. He had something, as miniscle as it was and as muffled voices outside drew his attention, he held onto the thought that he was not entirely alone.
That damn unicorn. Thanatos had know better than to place his trust in the silver tongued equine. Shifting his weight, Thanatos moved his head to the wall, being careful to not scrape his antlers against the tin. Through a crack he spied the strangers, hoping they would just continue on their way, unbeknownst that a Kirin was living right under their noses. However the didn't walk on by, instead they headed straight for the storage shed and straight towards his shelter.

Akio | NPC Guard
Akio had been waiting for days for something like this. His muscles were itching for some action, and he knew that this kirin wasn't going to come with him easily. That was good though. It allowed him to stretch his mind a little as he thought of some strategy that would allow them to get the kirin into custody. That was the best part of this game of cat and mouse, finding some way to out think the equine he was chasing, and he always seemed to find a way to win. He was one of the royal guard. He was one of the best and didn't quit until the job was complete. If it came down to it, he'd chase this kirin until one of them passed out from exhaustion.
He had tracked the kirin down to a specific location where locals had said they had seen the black stallion in the shadows and sneaking around. The pegasus stallion stood there with the owner of the land, questioning him about the suspect and his whereabouts. The owner pointed them in the direction of the storehouse located in the back part of his land, and Akio thanked him for his help. "Thank you, sir. We certainly appreciate your help." He muttered quietly as his eyes slide over to the wooden building several yards away before returning to look at each horse in the search party. "We should try to corner him in there while he's in a secure building. I don't want anyone to get hurt if he doesn't come peacefully." Akio said to the horses around him before giving them a strong nod of his head and heading toward the storehouse doors.

Casius;Breim | Priest Kindness trumps all Casius does his absolute best to be nice to everyone he meets and to never judge a book by their cover, but he had to admit, even he was a little nervous with the vast amount of Kirins that began showing up completely out of nowhere. What was Ignacio's plan? Hadn't he done enough against the Breimans. The Priest however, couldn't help the wrenching in his gut when the Royal Guards came about asking for the citizens assistance to help gather said Kirins together. Obviously he couldn't just refuse the Royal Guard. His people had faith in him and if he sided with the Kirins then the people would indeed lose their faith. So alas, he agreed to help. Whatever it was they needed him to do. He would ask for forgiveness later.
So there he was, surrounded by a group of horses set on removing a potentially peaceful outsider of Nariah. He shook his head, okay, that did sound a little crazy. All the same he was indeed outside of a storehouse with a group or horses making up a plan to flush out a Kirin. Something felt wrong about it but Casius simply prayed to Cascade that these horses would get a fair trial. He nodded along with the Guard's words and ideas. "Just let me know where you want me and how I can help." He told him softly.

Iroh
Flabbergasted couldn't even be the word this older stallion wanted to use when he was asked to help round kirins. Iroh bore no gifts from the gods. He was a jack of all trades, a master of none sort of deal. Even know he thought back on that when asked to help, it felt more like it was something he couldn't really say no to. So here was agreeing to help capture kirins. Though Iroh could only pray it was for the greater good, but gods know he had prayed before for things to come out well only to have it fall apart around him.
The guard spoke and Iroh snorted in light resonance. "Well we could try to more open with them. Im sure they are just confused as we are?" he remarked? The idea of cornering a kirin like playing a cat and mouse. Surely it was confused and afraid. Did the Breimians not give much cause to it? Iroh continued to follow along, his head hung low a it out of an old habit that didn't want to seem die. Iroh opened his mouth wanting to make a joke, but with a Priest amongst him he thought maybe it was best to save the joke for a better time, Not a time when the guard was warning them, that this could go wrong. Woohoo. Iroh was getting to old for this he mused to himself. His large stature moving forwards as he listened to the Priest and nodded his head.
"Yes feel free to boss us around. We are your command!" he chuckled a bit, trying to lighten the mood. Odd how something new made everyone want to scurry around, but could he truly be so surprised? The new generation did exactly that and well it didnt end to well for them either. He shook his head with a light smile. "Let's just try to be as peaceful about this as we can aye?"

Akio | NPC Guard Akio's ears swiveled toward the seal bay stallion beside him as he spoke, and he offered him a slight nod of his head as he turned his attention to the storehouse that the kirin was using as a shelter. To be honest, he wasn't quite sure what to think of these strange equine magically appearing in their territory. Were they here on accident, or was it on purpose? The vast majority of Breimians were panicking and on the verge of uprising at the very thought of these strangers walking among them without knowing of their intent, and the only way to settle it was to round them all up and see what exactly they knew.
The pegasus ruffled his vibrantly colored wings at the older stallion's remark. "Rest assured that we'll make this as peaceful as we can, but hearing that we have a warrant for his arrest, he might not take to kindly to that." He said with a gentle huff. It wasn't his idea to arrest every single kirin in Sirith, but he was going to make sure that he captured the one he had been sent for.
"Iroh, I want you and Casius to go around back to the exit while I go through the front door to the storehouse and try to talk to him. That should flush him out toward you if he runs." Akio explained and starting slowly moving to the front doors while the others got into position.
"Kirin! We have a warrant for your arrest! Come out peacefully!" Akio shouted as he cautiously opened the front door to the storehouse, ready for the kirin to barge forward at any moment from within the shadows of the building.

Thanatos | Outsider Through the crack he could see the equines gathering. It was a ragtag team of equines, with all except one looking as though they belonged elsewhere. Thanatos had hoped they would move on, but with a heavy feeling in his stomach he knew they wouldn't. Their voices were soft and muffled by the wood. He couldn't make out exactly what they were saying, but he could imagine it. Shifting away from the crack, he turned to look around the big storage house. Boxes filled with various supplies were stacked neatly in rows with small labels scribbled on the bottom of the boxes. Sapphire, ruby, coal. It was a storage container for the miners that rarely saw use anymore. Dust had gathered across the wooden crates, old mining tools discarded and forgotten about hung along the walls. It was all very neat and tidy, but the rows of crates offered some protection for the kirin. He began to move towards the back, only pausing when a loud voice echoed through the room. "Kirin! We have a warrant for your arrest! Come out peacefully!" Thanatos's ears flicked back, those words only confirming his earlier suspicions. They were gathering the kirins up. Moving swiftly through the aisle, Thanatos headed towards the only other exit he knew of. It was a small door that lead towards the tunnels, perhaps he might be able to escape into those dreadful tunnels again and try and find his way out of this god awful place.

Casius;Breim | Priest Kindness trumps all Casius smiled at the older stallion's lightness. He appreciated his attempts to soften the mood, but Casius couldn't shake the feeling that what they were doing was wrong. Did the Royals even attempt to ask the Kirins to come forth? Or was it straight into capture and interrogate?
All the same Casius nodded at the Guard's orders and headed around to the back entrance with Iroh. Mere moments after they stood in place, the Guard began yelling. "Kirin! We have a warrant for your arrest! Come out peacefully!" Casius's heart began pounding as he waited to see how the Kirin would react. He personally would have been one to wait it out inside and prayed the Guards would be kind.
His ears twitched as he heard movement inside, he suspected the Kirin wouldn't run directly to the source of the command, certainly not when they didn't have a clue what it was they were being arrested for... "Perhaps you could use your size to intimidate the stranger, should they decide to bolt in this direction? I'll stand a little further back in case they get past, it would not be ideal if they made it into the tunnels." He advised the bulkier stallion.

Iroh
A quick nod was all he could muster towards to the guard, before giving a quick look to Casius. "Well lets hope there will be no fight." he remarked offering at best a light grin. But as the clocked on, the happiness side of him slowly faded and his nerves became wrecked. Kirins... Kirins here in Breim. Surely it was a bad omen, those stranger popping out of thin air what would it mean for them all? He did believe something had to be done, but gathering them like delinquents. It seemed a bit much, but Iroh knew little to nothing of the sorts all he wanted was to resume his lectures and teachings and to be back at home in the company of another. Still he huffed as he trotted forwards.
The words of Casius entered his mind. Ahhhh so he should block the door because of his size? Iroh lifted a brow at them and smirked "I maybe mistaken, but dear Priest I do believe you called me fat." Iroh for a split seconded looked almost hurt, but couldn't help but bellow out a laugh. "I'll block the door. Surely some old unicorn will worry this kirin." he rolled his eyes with amusement, before positioning himself at the back door blocking it.
Iroh never thought himself well as alrge, well he did, he broke his horn because he isn't ever conscious of his size. He takes up more room then he though and he recall the handful of times he stepped on others or bumped into him. Gods be gracious what a mess he was. Maybe he'd try a diet of some sort. Iroh shook his head, no diets were for the young, he was older he deserved to enjoy life to the fullest. But it would be hard to do that with all these Kirins about. With a glance over his shoulder he looked at the Priest. "Lets hope you know some choice words to have the gods smile upon us today." he chuckled. Good plan Iroh, lets poke the Priest a bit, but it was only fair. The priest albeit to them, did just call him fat. The memory already making him chuckle.

Akio | NPC Guard With everyone in place, Akio began walking closer and closer to the front door to the storehouse, inching his way slowly as he kept his senses alert for any movement inside the wooden building. All he could see, however, was darkness. There would be only one way to know for sure where the kirin was inside. He would have to go in. It made his stomach tighten and his heart race to think about going in there blind with no knowledge of where the suspect may be, but years of being a guard had given him many talents and experience in this kind of thing. He was used to chasing perpetrators into dark tunnels, but this would be a little different with the storehouse being a closed in space. The kirin may easily be able to get the upper-hand if he jumped him.
After shouting to make sure the equine inside knew of their intent, the pegasus stallion slowly opened the front door and hissed as the old wooden door creaked on its rusted hinges. His brow knitted together in determination and concentration, and he lifted the lantern that he had brought with him to light his way. He kept his wings tight against his sides while he walked between the boxes and supplies in the storehouse, and he lifted the lantern around every corner, shining its light into the shadowy nooks and crannies.
"Come out, come out wherever you are." Akio said in a gruff tone, his eye scanning the darkness. "The High King wishes to speak with you."

Thanatos | Outsider
Thanatos had barely reached the exit when he heard more voices coming from outside. The door creaked and Thanatos scrambled backwards until his rump hit a wooden crate with a way too loud thump. Cursing, he pulled away from the back door, expecting it to swing open at any second and a flood of equines to come charging through it to surround him. His heart beat loudly in his ears and he turned swiftly, travelling down another aisle as he tried to gather his thoughts and to calm his racing mind and to figure a way out of this mess. He could only imagine that they had surrounded the building, preventing any conventional means of escape. Eyes scanning in the darkness, he tried to think. There was something clawing at the back of his mind but a new sound stopped that train of thought as fast as it had begun. He froze. Light bobbed through the dark storage, the lantern swinging this way and that.
Thanatos stared. The light was coming closer. A gruff voice spoke, teasing him. It was far too close for his liking. Staring up at the crates above his head, the kirin tested one of them with the faint shimmer of golden teke. It moved slightly. Glancing back down at the bobbing light, he waited. They were getting closer, closer. He pushed harder against the crate, feeling it move against his pressure. Thanatos could see their face in the lantern light as he felt the crate give to his push. With a resounding crash it toppled off the top of the stack, barely missing the equine who approached him, and hit the concrete floor, spilling hundreds of tiny gems all across the floor.
Thanatos did not wait to see their reaction. It was a gamble, Thanatos did not know how many of them there was outside this storage house, for all he knew it could be surrounded. But what did he have to lose? His freedom was on the line and with the back door not being a viable option anymore, there was only one other way out. And that was through the front.

Casius;Breim | Priest Kindness trumps all Casius' ears flicked as he contemplated Iroh's comment. He hadn't meant to hurt the older stallion's feelings and his head bounced up in shock as Iroh began to laugh. The Priest wasn't used to such brash humour and it took him off guard, he threw an awkward chuckle back. He liked this stallion, but he wasn't sure about
The banging about the room brought his focus back to the job. The guard taunted the Kirin on the opposite side of things and Casius assumed the Kirin was trying to find a new way out as things began banging about inside. Being a non-confrontational being, Casius contemplated what to do next. "What do you think, are we to give chase if they get away?" He asked the older stallion for his opinion. No doubt everything would happen very quickly were this to explode. Casius then thought of the frightened and concerned foals and families that had visited Cascade in the last few months and his mindset began to shift. He was just as confused as the rest of his herd and the last thing he wanted was for someone to get hurt.
"Prepare yourself, Iroh. I think we may have to use these older bones of ours in exuberance." He told the unicorn with a cheeky smile.

Iroh
Hearing the nervous chuckle of the Priest perhaps he should tone it down on the jokes. The last thing he needed was to make another enemy out here, especially a priest. Gods forgive him and his loose lip ways, at least the joke was mainly aimed at him. But still he smiled none the less, Iroh knew he could be quite a bit to handle not only in his massive size here in the underground, but his jokes and personality could be a bit much for many.
But his thoughts were jumbled as he heard noises from inside. "This isn't good." he remarked not hearing a word yet. Casius spoke and Iroh nodded "Well I guess we must give chase, perhaps show the guard what an old man can do." he laughed making a joke on himself again. Probably the wrong time to make a joke, but he had such a knack for ill timed jokes. "Maybe one of us should move towards the other door? Get'em trapped in there with both of us blocking it?" he asked. Iroh really didnt want to walk into some dark place with his large self. He'd be more of a hindrance then actual help and he rather not be at the end of the shitstick with the guard. Iroh wasn't really sure what to do in this case, he was a teacher of the sort, a jack of all trades. Casius was a Priest. Honestly Iroh had to wonder who thought this was a good tieam to capture a Kirin? Clearly there could be those that were better at this then himself? Even in Iroh's old age he was not blessed with anything from any god. He was older of the sort. Bones tired and knees ached. What a fine team, he mused to himself, Hoping Casius had a good idea.

Akio | NPC Guard Akio crept forward in the darkness of the storage shed, peeking around each corner to see if he could see any hint of life among the hundreds of boxes and other supplies seemed to be among the shelves that lined the building. The kirin could be hiding in any corner. There were simply too many places that someone could hide in here, and Akio did not want to be caught off guard or by surprise. If the beast that he had been told about got a hold of him, he would likely kill him in a heartbeat.
He wished there had been experienced guards that he could have taken along with him instead of the civilians that the Breimian government had recruited for this mission. It would have eased his mind to think that he had trained fighters on the doors to the storage shed instead of a Priest and a Keeper. They were all the help he had though, and he had to trust them to the best of his ability.
The sudden crate falling toward his face from one of the top shelves caused him to rear and recoil away just in time for it to crash on the concrete floor in front of him with a loud crash and snapping as the wood splintered on the hard ground. In the confusion, the kirin pushed past him and galloped full throttle toward the front door. Akio snorted, turning on a dime to give chase. It seemed that this wasn't going to be as peaceful as he had hoped it would be. "Casius, Iroh! He's headed toward the front door!" The pegasus shouted, praying that the two of them would hear him.

Thanatos | Outsider
The pegasus shouted and Thanatos felt his heart beat rise in his chest. He dodged crates, hooves clattering loudly against the ground, he gave up trying to be silent now. Occasionally his antlers would graze against the wooden boxes, banging or creating an almost musical note. But Thanatos couldn't hear it past the rapid beating of his heart and his ears straining to listen to the noises, any noises, outside that might give away the other equines positions. If they were was someone out the front then Thanatos would truly be trapped, surrounded at all sides. What would he do then? Thanatos was certain these equines did not mean to sit him down and have tea like the talkative unicorn back in the tunnels did. No, he felt it was more sinister than that. With the fearful reactions he got whenever he showed his face in a crowd, Thanatos could only imagine what they had in store for him and whatever it was, he was certain that he wanted no part of it.
The front door was in sight, and Thanatos still couldn't hear anything out there. Was it clear? Did the others not hear the pegasus? Thanatos reached out with his telekinesis, hesitant at first but as he got closer he fear made him bolder. He shoved the door open.

Iroh
The words of the guard entered his head, and Iroh nearly cursed under his breath."Come on lets see if we can catch up" he remarked to his companion before rushing forwards along the side of the building. Knees screamed at the sudden movement and the force of his long stride, but Iroh still continued on wards. Come on, come on he thought bitterly to himself. He was to old for this crap, he wasn't made for some speed chase, he was a teacher of the sort for goodness sake. Iroh could hear the rustling within the building the clattering of things as the equines with moved and rushed about.
Iroh moved forwards begging his legs to pick up the speed, maybe he was getting to large, he slowly cursed his sweet tooth appetite. Ears perked as he heard the door slam open, he was right there so close so close. Gods help him, he thought as he made a bullrush move to the door ready to collide with the first thing that made to leave the door. He'd probably break a limb, but he couldn't allow this creature to be set free making a mess of the lives of so many. Kirins we already disrupting the thin balance between peace and war within Breim, he couldn't allow it, no he wouldn't allow this one to escape. Not without putting all his effort into it.

Casius;Breim | Priest Kindness trumps all Casius nodded in agreement with Iroh as he suggested they listen to the guard in charge and make way around front. He wasn't much faster than the older stallion as their legs took them as fast as they possibly could. His heart was beating faster than a child lost in the tunnels and only continued to race as he tried to pay attention to the rumbling going on within the storehouse. They sounded as though they were indeed heading for the front door.
He cursed under his breath (apologies Cascade) as Iroh leaped forward ready to put himself in danger for the sake of his herd, "He'll be glad to know the wave mother has blessed me in the case of an unfortunate outcome." The Priest muttered under his breath. Casius slowed down slightly and positioned himself at a less incriminating position as the older stallion and braced himself for what may literally come at them. It gave him some minor comfort knowing the trained guard was behind the potential threat, ready to help them were they to get in a scuffle.
The longer they were in the situation the more Casius began to contemplate the whole Kirin situation. What was it that Ignacio was up to? Hadn't he helped spread fire through their homes enough. He began to understand the call for capturing the Kirins, but he still wasn't entirely sure if this was to go about it. All the same he was ready to be whatever backup was necessary of him.

Thanatos | Outsider
On creaky hinges the door swung open and Thanatos burst out into the warm cavern. The kirin swung his head and prepared to charge for the open tunnel but didn't notice the burly stallion until the last second. Thanatos hit the breaks but not before his tall mass hit the smaller, but thicker built stallion. Stumbling back, he swung his head up and around searching for an escape route but it seemed there would be no escaping as he watched with growing dismay as another equine came to block his path. He was surrounded.
Behind him in the storage house he could hear the curses and grumblings of the pegasus. He thought about barging through the door and racing through the other end of the storage house, but it was fleeting, brought on by the desperation he felt staring down at the equines in front of him. The pegasus would soon block the door behind him.
"Oh good, you got him." The gruff tones of the guard made his ears pin. Akio kept a safe distance behind the kirin, but wasn't about to allow him the chance to escape again. "By the decree of the High King, you Kirin are under arrest." And in a lower voice, "you will be taken into custody until further notice." Thanatos only arched his neck, giving his long tail a flick in the direction of the pegasus. His pride would not allow him to say anything else. Akio fluffed up his wings, "don't try anymore funny business. It will do you no good." He said gruffly, turning to the two citizens who had helped to capture the kirin. "Well done you two, your assistance in capturing this kirin has been dully noted. The High King will be pleased."
