Plot: Absinthe is wandering Hireath. Zemora has been out from her shop for some time and the black swan pegasus needs something to keep her destructive mind occupied. She stops at the Kingfisher Inn to see what kind of trouble she can stir up. Characters Featured: Absinthe [http://fav.me/dax8e25], Madden [http://fav.me/db83evr] and Ike [http://fav.me/dbhb6ky] Setting/Location: Kingfisher Inn - located on the boarder of Eithne and Onea near to the War Lord's Road. Evening Rating: T [alcohol mentioned] (can fluctuate either higher or lower) Absinthe:Vagabond | Diciple vagarious (adj.) erratic and unpredictable in behavior or direction. Absinthe had grown bored waiting for Zemora to reappear from her travels around Hireath. She knew the Hedgewitch should be arriving soon back to her shop, but soon wasn't soon enough. So Absinthe decided to go out on her own on her and see what trouble she could cause. Knowing that times were rough over in Ethine with all of Valore's internal struggles, Absinthe stayed clear of Aodh's territory. Serora was much too long of a trek and Sirith was where she was already. She wasn't jumping on a boat anytime soon either to travel to the Isle of Dead, though it tempted her greatly. She knew she would find fun there. But alas the only really good choice was to wander in the direction of Onea.
This is why she found herself trudging along the less traveled paths parallel to the War Lord's Road. So far no one had dined to get close enough to her for some fun. It was getting late and she needed a drink. And probably some food too. More or less she wanted to feel a little high. In the distance stood a large building. Warm light glowed from it's many windows and sound erupted whenever the large barn doors swung open. Her mood lifted slightly she trotted forward.
A large sign swung above the doors, the words 'Kingfisher Inn' glinted in the low light. A low grin spread across Absinthe's face. She'd find one or two equines to have fun with tonight. Or with her luck the whole tavern. As she entered the inn almost imperceptible in the large crowd gathered in the commons area of the inn, she pinpointed the bar area. She had no coin or anything really to trade for a drink, but she had herself.
As she took a seat next to a particularly inebriated individual she gave him a deep knowing look and a wink. He immediately turned his attention from whatever he was doing previously and offered her a drink. She accepted and ordered something light but large. She wasn't going to be out of her mind quite yet or at all tonight. She took the drink delivered to her by a large shire, hippocampus and gracefully moved farther down the bar.
While sipping she said mostly to herself, "There's gotta be someone in here who will give me a good time." She kept watch trying to find a soul to torment or to partner with.
WC: 409 | Post #1 ooc: I left it open! That way Madden can either saunter in or already be at the inn! Really excited for this RP! Have no idea where to send it, but we'll see what happens! X'D If you have any suggestions or ideas or anything either feel free to go for it or send me a message! c:

MADDEN: Madden was bored. He was tired of staying cooped up at Nero's Medical Practise while the blue roan was off on 'herd business'. He was a wonderer at heart and missed the taste of new air on the open roads of Hireath. He missed the bloodshed and the fights, the tussles and the excitement gained from being at the centre of a skirmish. With Serora on the brink of war Madden didn't feel too keen to stir up trouble in his boyfriend's herd so instead decided to go 'a wonderin'. Thanks to Nero's attentiveness to Madden's injured leg the bone had managed to heal almost entirely. Knowing that it wouldn't suddenly buckle beneath him if he had a few spats he eagerly trailed away from the desert herd.
He knew of a few places occupied by mainly Vagabonds or runaways that would do nicely for a fun evening. It was a decent hike from Nero's but Madden enjoyed reacquainting himself with the wilderness. Every few miles he would look back, see the roaring plains behind and before him and feel a greater sense of purpose and excitement. This feeling spurred him on to continue his arduous expedition. Just as the sun began to rest on the horizon Madden came upon the Inn. He could hear rowdy voices from inside, see a few stallions outside, either chatting up mares or sparring each other. It was a refreshing sight compared to the soft mannered, liberals of Serora.
"Gentlemen." Madden gave his usual snarky smirk followed by a curt nod as he passed the uppity stallions and entered the establishment. He had been there once or twice before with his sisters, but it had been a while. The bar lamps glowed amber in the dim light, the clinking of beer mugs and the loud static of voices greeted his eager ears. Even the smell of ale and chips was delightful. He didn't realise just how much he had missed it. Horses of all kinds were there, a few fellow unicorns spattered about, regulars, winged and even hippocampi were drinking and dining. Madden even recognised the owner, a large shire hippocampi Vindicator. He wore a stoic expression as he surveyed his Inn and Madden commended him for his dedication.
He approached the bar merrily, not aiming to get too plastered, but enough to have a rowdy evening and not feel too guilty come sun up. He still had some money left over from his last job so he spilled a few coins onto the counter, "One ale, Ik, if you would." he gave the Innkeeper a pleasant smile before turning his attention to the rest of the bar. A low looking hippocampus was practically passed out a few seats down from him and he chuckled a little to himself. He then spied a buckskin pegasi. She approached the drunkard and managed to get a drink out of him. 'Clever girl' Madden mused silently as he watched her. His ale was slid down the bar to him and Madden caught it in his shimmering ruby teke.
"There's gotta be someone in here who will give me a good time." the mare spoke more to herself, but Madden still caught her words. Another soul eager to have some fun. Now that Madden could get behind. "I don't know what sort of fun you're after, darlin', but with a crowd like this I'm sure we can work something out." Despite himself Madden was impressed with his own suave behaviour, but tried to keep up this cocky charade.

Absinthe:Vagabond | Diciple vagarious (adj.) erratic and unpredictable in behavior or direction. It hadn't taken long for someone to take the bait. Slightly startled she turned to see a light roan tobiano unicorn sidle near to her. She liked his cocky attitude. Before she responded she took in the older stallion. He was handsome, his piercings told her he was more of a risk taker than anything. That horn of his was intense and cracked here and there. He was also a fighter. Oh this could most definitely be an interesting encounter.
"Oh you don't say? And what's your name trouble maker?" She gave him a small smile, pushing her long hair out of her eyes. "I'm Absinthe. Do you want to play a game?" She liked games. She liked them even more when alcohol and handsome stallions were involved. "Truth or dare my dear." Her grin grew bigger as the nights possibilities began to unfold before her. She knew this wasn't just going to be an easy chump to seduce and manipulate. And she was glad. She wanted a challenge. She deserved another intellectual individual to manipulate with.
She sipped her drink and waited for her new playmate to make his next move. Soon she would need another drink. She eyed the large innkeeper and wondered if she could convince him she was part of that drunks tab over there. The cultist inside her was exuberant.

MADDEN: She smiled at him and Madden felt a buzz of electricity shoot up his spine. He briefly glanced at his drink and wondered whether it was the compliment or the cold beverage that had caused that reaction. Either way she had asked for his name and he was more than willing to oblige. This Pegasus seemed to have experienced her fair share of excitement, and tonight promised to be no different at this rate. "Madden, my dear. Pleasure to meet you Absinthe, I'm sure we have an exciting night ahead of us." he crooned, cocking his head to one side so he could get a better look at this new 'friend'. She was pretty, no doubt about it, with a wild, black, curly mane that seemed to fall around her eyes like shadows. A lovely little mystery to get to know. What a treat.
"Games? I can never say no to a good game. Of course I'll play." He spoke enthusiastically, sipping his drink as he raised an eyebrow at her suggestion. "Truth or dare, how thrilling." he smirked knowing that the seemingly innocent game could be spun off in enthralling ways that would surly keep him occupied. "I'm down for that, sweetheart. As a gentleman," he mockingly bowed his head and drew his chin to his chest in a knightly jest, "you may ask the questions first, if you like?" Madden hadn't realised until he went for another drink, that he was smirking coldly. His ruby eyes were fixed on the mare calculatingly, uncertain of exactly what she would ask or say, but too distracted by the adrenaline rush to much care. Nero would be pissed.

Absinthe:Vagabond | Diciple vagarious (adj.) erratic and unpredictable in behavior or direction. Absinthe was thrilled that he accepted the challenge. We're going to have some fun tonight, Madden. I can promise you that. She thought to herself as he promised her an exciting night. She let a sigh of relief escape her lips at not having to fight boredom off. She wasn't the type of mare to keep still for very long. She had to be doing something. And Madden was offering to do something with her. A shiver of thrills swept up her spine and ruffled her feathers when he called her sweetheart.
He offered her the first question. This was surprising to Absinthe. She could tell he was just as ready as her to get the night going, even though an edge of uncertainty hinted behind his excitement. His stare was trying to figure her out. And she let him look. What would he find? Nothing he would like to find that's for sure. Absinthe cleared her throat a little, took another swig of her drink and decided on the first question.
"Okay Madden, let's start with truth how about? And work our way up to dare?" She raised her eyebrow at him, a dangerous smile on her lips. "I see you're a fighter. Have you killed someone in a fight before?" She wanted to know all his dark secrets. She wanted to drink them up and keep them for later use. The inn around stayed pleasantly busy, keeping their conversation private. No one paid them any attention, besides the occasional glance. That would probably have to change later on. It's no fun when not everyone was part of the game.

MADDEN: Truth, eh? Madden felt a little rush through him as she spoke, knowing how tantalizing this game was going to be. Carefully he sipped his drink, the cold tingling adding to his excitement. "It's always good to establish the facts first. Then move on to the fun." He responded with a smirk, leaning his shoulder against the bar and giving her his full attention. The look from her dark eyes sent thrills down his back as she proposed the first question.
"I see you're a fighter. Have you killed someone in a fight before?" To this Madden showed off his most wicked smile and turned to the bar. The stakes were high in this truth, and he wasn't sure how much he wanted to give away.
"Can I get another, Ike?" He called to the hippocampus before returning to Absinthe. "I have killed almost every time that I fight. It's an occupational hazard. Fighting, for us," he gestured to Absinthe as well in a communal Vagabond fashion, "is how we survive. That's something herd horses can never truly understand. Killing just ensures our safety for a little longer before the next opponent arises. It helps if you're paid to do it too." He was delighted with how this game was going so far and decided to breach the next truth while Ike retrieved him another drink.
"Truth for you Absinthe." he said, his voice rippling with coyness, a slightly excited sneer working it's way onto his features as he addressed the pretty buckskin, "I have observed your style, your markings and how you conduct yourself...have you ever dabbled in meddling? And I don't mean whispers, I mean started thing, caused riots, thrown other into conflicts for the sheer pleasure of watching them tear each other apart. You ever done anything like that?" As Ike placed the mug on the counter Madden watched Absinthe intently, eager to learn more about this little Spanish mystery.

Absinthe:Vagabond | Diciple vagarious (adj.) erratic and unpredictable in behavior or direction. Absinthe drank up his answer. She was still new to the world and hadn't met many others who dabbled in her interests. In all honesty she wasn't exactly interested in killing. But to know someone else had caused chaos was what peaked her attention.
"Every fight? Those numbers must rack up then!" She gave him a wink. The drink she had ordered was warming her traveled bones. She was starting to feel its effects. Discreetly she set the drink to the side. Don't get her wrong, she did like to have black out drunk nights, however Madden was proving to be more her drink.
As Madden decided upon 'Truth' and asked his question, Absinthe's eyebrow rose in amazement at his very direct words. He didn't glaze over details. And the fact that he could tell just from her tattoo, which she swore was hidden more than showing, was quite impressive. And a little unnerving. The one thing she didn't know how to handle was when someone else was in control of the chaos.
"Oh I've...dabbled." She gave him a small smile as she emphasized the word he had used. "It most certainly is a pleasure as well. And it's why I'm out here tonight actually." When she planted chaos she was never discreet about her business. She usually got right to the point.
"One more truth. And then we'll do a few dares." She paused and took a last swig of her drink. "I know you're not from the same background as I am, but I want to know; are you willing to help me create some chaos?" She didn't give him a smile this time. But her expression was of anticipation and a dark eagerness.

M A D D E N a Mercenary of the Vagabond 'blood like rust on swords i knew, chests and hearts from lovers too' ......
"Every fight? Those numbers must rack up then!" Warmth swelled in Madden's chest as his confidence took another leap before he cockily raised his head with and gave an appreciative grin, especially at the wink that caused the heat to rise to his cheeks; maybe he was drinking too quickly. "They certainly do, it's an occupational hazard." Madden sipped gently, none too eager to lose his senses too early into this encounter. He watched the mare's eyebrows quirk at his question, and gave a small private smile at his observation, a skill honed over years of work. "Oh I've...dabbled. It most certainly is a pleasure as well. And it's why I'm out here tonight actually." Her voice seemed picketed with subtext that Madden could barely understand, but what came shining through from her was she was a chaos maker, and Madden hadn't had the pleasure of mingling with someone like this for years.
The strawberry roan gave an appreciative nod at her answer, taking a quick swig of his beverage, enjoying the hot sting down his throat. "I am glad to hear it. Where would the fun be in a calm evening out, eh?" He gave her a mischievous side glace while his ears were pinned towards her, awaiting any further enticements into an exciting evening. "One more truth. And then we'll do a few dares." She appeared to pause a moment, taking a deep gulp of her liquor, truly a mare with a flare for the dramatic, something Madden could get behind, "I know you're not from the same background as I am, but I want to know; are you willing to help me create some chaos?"
This had earned Madden's full attention, and the stallion gave her a humoured glance as he too finished his drink, allowing the cup to chink on the counter before he finally met her eyes. They were deep like pools of blood and held intrigue that was far too intoxicating for Madden to resist. "I hope to offer a lively new addiction to your repertoire, and a story that we may both cherish when the night is over." He paused for a moment, the clamour and conversation of those around him dull compared to this conversation, "That is as truthful as I can be." He hoped his answer would assure her he would aid her, that some chaos would do him the world of good, and show how eager he suddenly was to flip the world upside down.
