1 | 492The moon hung high in the sky, surrounded by clusters of sparkling stars. A soft breeze drifted through Aquore, rustling the palm trees that towered over the sand and the signs that hung over the doors of closed shops. The city of Inaria was fairly quiet, the late night having ushered everyone into bed hours before. The cobblestone streets laid barren.. or almost barren.
The sound of soft hooves clopping down the streets could be heard, their taps melodious as the mare pranced down the road as if she owned the place. The rogue didnt have much to worry about in the main city in the middle of the night, what with half of the city tucked in their little homes and oblivious to her wandering eyes and the other half locked away in some internment camp. Every now and then, she would come across a Guardian, but it didnt take much for her to slip into the shadows of an alleyway until they passed on by.
Captain Ceto herself had been the one elected to go scouting for supplies for the pirates' trip to Aodh with the kirins. They were taking her ship; it was only fair. Her crew would make sure the others didnt leave without her, and Ceto herself certainly wouldnt try anything when they had her beloved ship in their grubby little hooves. Just the thought made the mare cringe, gritting her teeth together as she shook it from her head. The Huntress would certainly need a deep clean after this voyage if they didnt sink it first.
Pausing in her steps, the mare glanced toward the moon, the wind tugging at her finned mane and deadlocked tail. The scent of the sweet salty ocean was carried on the breeze and danced across her muzzle. Her bright red eyes scanned the horizon, her head tipping to the side as she noticed lights in the distance. Glancing back in the main part of the city, her shoulders rose and fell with a sigh. Supply hunting could come later. She was more interested in what was going on a few miles away.
Taking on a light canter, the mare left Inaria behind in her tracks. It didnt take her long to get there, but when she did, she found herself sliding in her tracks and jumping into the nearest brush. Touching her sword at her side with a flick of her telekinesis, she slowly slunk through the line of bushes and trees. She noticed guards standing before a gate, and a fence following for as far as she could see. Her brow narrowed as she made her way closer, finding a shadowy place beside the fence. Lifting her brow, she peered through the fence, her head tipping with curiosity at the sight of little makeshift homes crammed together.
"Well, well, what do we have here." The pirate whispered under her breath before making her way more down the fence line.
