Jade | War-Forged | Weather Witch
A small yawn escaped the mare's mouth, as she ambled her way down a well-beaten path that led to Skeldr town. Its been awhile since I've come down from the mountain, I wonder if anything significant has happened recently. She hummed lightly to herself, immersed in her mental plans for the day.
One of the reasons for her visit to Skeldr town, besides some light socializing, was to visit a few merchants and restock her small supply of goods at home for both her mother and herself. The only con of living further up the mountain was that she had to leave quite a bit before dawn in order to make the trip to and from only last a day. If she had to stay longer than a day, it would cripple her with worry for her mother. At times, yes, her mother could handle being alone for maybe a few hours; but for more than that? It was extremely risky.
And Jade did not like risks, at all.
With that thought alone, it fueled her to quicken her pace and momentarily place the worry for her mother in the recesses of her mind; determined to shorten her time spent away from home.

Icabod | RaiderIcabod was standing against a stall wall. He needed a break from the hustle and bustle of the markets. He'd gotten the items his mother had asked for, he'd taken them to her, then he decided to spend his day in the market shopping for himself. But, it got to be a bit much at times. All the vibrations could really take their toll on him at times. Tremor sense was great for his job, not so much for shopping. So he leaned there, with his right shoulder pressed against the stall. It was empty, so he bothered no one.
Icabod simply sat there, watching each horse walk by as he thought of what to buy. He wasn't a big spender. Perhaps he'd leave with nothing at all. Maybe he'd buy something for his mother or sisters... Maybe Reva. Icabod contemplated his options. Were any of them big on accessories? He couldn't say. Sometimes he felt he didn't know anyone as well as he should. Maybe it was just the buzzing in his head that threw him off.
The raider squeezed his eyes shut. He took in a breath. Then the stallion started down the streets once more. His gaze crossed each shop he saw. Something good had to be at one of them. If nothing else, maybe he could run into someone interesting.

Jade | War-Forged | Weather Witch
Due to keeping up a relatively quicker pace, Jade breached the outskirts of town much sooner than usual. Taking a moment to catch her breath, she stopped and observed the scene before her. The market in the morning time was slowly buzzing to life, with patrons casually trickling into the area. Stalls filled to the brim with goods, waiting to be sold off and fill an ecstatic vendor's purse with coin.
Once her racing heart calmed, she ventured into the market determined to get in and out as quickly as possible. As her pale blue eyes glanced at each stall, her ears twitched curiously in various directions; picking up small tid-bits of conversation under the lull of the market between other patrons and merchants. A small frown began to etch itself onto her scarred lips, and her brows furrowed as a mixture of confusion and curiosity about what she heard overtook her mind; momentarily distracting her from her objective.
Bloody Flanks...the Warlord birthing twins...and Kirins? What the bloody hell is going on?
Due to the vague information she gathered briefly overwhelming her, the chimera mare became lost in her thoughts; attempting to digest it all. But to no avail, it only led to her becoming more confused about it. The correlation between the events made no sense; but her inner foal was dying for more knowledge about it all.
So caught up in her mind, Jade wasn't paying any real attention to the outside world; leading her to accidentally collide into another patron, a tall bay stallion with a black tattoo covering his chest and neck. The collision itself momentarily jarred her whole world, as she caught herself on her knees from the force. Standing back up as quickly as possible, Jade pivoted around to face the other and bowed her head in apology. "I sincerely apologize for that," she lifted her head making eye contact with the other, " I was lost in my thoughts and not paying any mind as to where I was heading."

Icabod | RaiderIcabod walked along, still lost in his own thoughts. He continued to search each stall he passed. But, as he was walking along, he was suddenly jarred from his hooves. The stallion smacked to the ground, face first. He groaned as he hefted himself up. Icabod swung his head around to look at the cause. However, he turned the wrong way and saw nothing but black. He rolled his eyes at himself then spun his whole body around. It was a mare, quickly apologizing for what she'd done.
"Eh, don't worry about, ma'am." Icabod smiled at her, showing that it was alright. He looked her up and down in search of any scratches. "You alright? I probably should have felt ya comin', but I was also caught up in my thoughts. So, no harm done." Icabod shook out his neck. "Name's Icabod, by the way. And you are?"
She seemed like a nice enough mare and he was in no rush. Maybe they could have a little chat. She kind of owed it to him since she'd slammed into him. Simply walking, she still managed to get him off his hooves. It was kind of impressive. Or maybe he was just off balance. Although, that was usually an uncommon thing. He chuckled softly to himself when simply thinking of how it had happened.

Jade | War-Forged | Weather Witch
Against her will, a small flush of embarrassment rises to Jade's cheeks as the stallion asks if she's alright. "I'm fine. Might have a nasty bruise or two form later," pausing as she felt a small throbbing coming from where she collided with him, "but fine none-the-less." She finished with a polite smile, hoping to ease any disbelief about it.
Falling in step with the other as they continued to stroll through the market, she decided to return the courtesy and introduce herself. "Well, it's nice to make your acquaintance Icabod. My name is Jade." she replied with a small smile."--I d-didn't ask earlier, but are you alright yourself?" Jade asked, the heat on her face coming back tenfold. I cannot believe I did that, ugh." I, uh, collided with you pretty hard back there." The fact that Jade was able to knock Icabod off his hooves, despite his larger stature, confused Jade immensely. I wasn't even moving that quick...was I?

Icabod | RaiderIcabod smiled at her. "Ah, gotta love bruises, the lamest of all the injuries." He chuckled as she explained how she felt. It was good that she seemed alright for the most part. The stallion glanced over at her. She was an interesting looking mare. Chimerism was always a cool thing to see on someone. And so far, she seemed nice enough. "Pleasure to meet ya, Jade." He dipped his head slightly in hello. "As for me, I'll be fine. I've taken a lot worse than a slip in the streets. Maybe scraped a knee." He briefly peaked at his front right leg. There was a small scratch with a single bead of blood on it. It'd heal within a few days time for sure. "How you got me off my hooves, though, I can't quite explain. Usually I'm more sure-footed than that. Gotta say, ya pack quite a punch." Icabod laughed softly. He finally settled on the idea that he was paying zero attention to anything around him. Otherwise, she definitely would not have knocked him over. She certainly wasn't big enough for that. "So, Jade, what brings you to the markets on this fine day? Groceries or pleasure?" He raised a brow curiously at her. Word Count: 207 Post: 3

Jade | War-Forged | Weather Witch
An amused snort stumbled from Jade's lips as Icabod referred to bruises as lame. "Is that so? I guess you've encountered quite a lot more injuries than some lame bruises before." As they continued to stroll through the market, Jade noticed that the stallion had taken a moment to glance at her chimeric marking, and Jade lowered her head nervously as her self-consciousness about it rose to the surface. She'd never get used to people staring or making comments about her flashier coat.
When Icabod gestured towards the small cut on his knee, where blood was already collecting, she felt a small amount of horror flit through her mind. Pushing it aside, she let the flow of conversation continue. If I spot a vendor selling medicinal supplies, I'll stop and grab some bandages for him. Drawing her out of her thoughts, Icabod's comment about her unsuspecting strength made the feeling of embarrassment flourish within every fiber of her body. "I-I don't know how I did it either. But, Its surely a one time thing for me." she blurted out, her embarrassment only strengthening. Returning her attention to her surroundings, she kept an eye out for any vendor with medicinal supplies in stock. Now she had more than one reason why she needed to visit one.
"Well, I was hoping to restock on food and some medicine...." she paused, her curled ears picking up on more gossip,"...and to understand what the hell is actually happening within the herd." she muttered, not really wanting to share latter of her response. As she finished, she spotted a vendor selling exactly what she needed. Darting between the crowd of equines, she reached her destination rather quickly. Ordering some bandage wraps, a few herbs meant for aiding in sleeping, and other basic first aid supplies.
Turning back around to the stallion, she grabbed the bandaged material with her icy blue teke, and offered it to the other hesitantly. "E-even if it's just some silly cut....they can also turn into the nastiest of wounds with the right exposure..." she stuttered.

Icabod | RaiderIcabod chuckled at her response. He then noticed she seemed a bit embarrased under his gaze. He quickly shifted his eyes to where he was walking. "Oh yes, if you haven't noticed, I have had very many injuries. Fallen off a small mountainside cliff, got attacked by some devil birds, fought off a pack of wolves, and so on." Icabod smirked. He certainly had a lot of crazy stories to tell. He wasn't so sure she'd want to hear them all, though.
"Haha, don't worry about it. I wasn't paying attention and sometimes that throws me off balance." The raider didn't want her feeling bad for the accident. "Ah, supplies like that are good. And as for the herd, there's all sorts of stuff going on. It's been rough."
Icabod laughed at her frantic running to the medic supply tent. He took the bandages in his own, silver teke with a grateful smile on his face. "You didn't need to do that for me. Let me at least repay you for those." He carefully started wrapping his knees with the bandages. He didn't want the wrappings to go to waste. She spent money on a stranger so he shouldn't take that for granted.
