Yakira | WF Scout | stallion
The others agreed on going right. Mia sounded mildly irritated as she said we were wasting daylight and trotted in front of everyone,
hopefully it was the better road of the two. . Yakira began doubting himself. I hate choosing.
Yakira followed Mia, searching for any oddities on the path. He looked behind him and saw Kiger and Killiah talking together, about something serious, guessed Yakira, maybe about Bloody flanks? Yakira built up his courage and dared to ask Mia a question.
"Excuse me Mia. Why is it we're going to the old ruins? I understand we have to bring War Lord what ever we find.. But what is it specifically we're looking for?"
Yakira was very unsure, he wasn't feeling right. Not as alert. Not as observant. His hoves felt like cement. His eyes felt heavy, and his thin coat of fur felt like it was melting off.
He shook his head and gathered up some energy.
Act normal, act normal. He trotted on trying not to sway.
It's kind of hot here isn't it Mia?

Mi'AnoirYou and I will not be shaken By the winter sound
The little merchant only half listened to the conversation behind her as she trotted briskly along. There was work to be done and she didn't have time to dawdle. Besides, her family was expecting her home tonight to help with their livestock, and the sooner she was done here, the sooner she'd be home.
The journey itself seemed to drag on for hours, and though she couldn't see the sun in the sky, Mia was pretty sure her estimation wasn't far off. Traveler had started lagging behind a bit, sniffing out every new smell her could get his nose. Usually Mia would call the pup closer and make him focus on the task at hoof, but since she was in a rather large group on a well marked road, she let the canine have his fun.
A sudden voice beside her caught her attention, and she flicked her ears towards the stranger. "Excuse me Mia. Why is it we're going to the old ruins? I understand we have to bring War Lord what ever we find.. But what is it specifically we're looking for?" Mia grinned. "She said something about wanting to bring back the old guilds. Rebuild them now that the herd isn't strapped for resources. She wants us to bring back anything that looks note worthy, old books and papers that may hold records and such." Mia said rather matter of factly as she continued on, keeping pace with the strange scout.
Finally, the road seemed to become a little more overgrown, signaling to the mare that the group must be approaching their destination. Mia slowed a bit, paying more attention to her footing and surroundings. Calling Traveler to her side once more, she sniffed the air, smelling the all too familiar scent of dust and old stone lingering on the wind.
"Are you all coming along, or what?" She asked impatiently, stamping her hoof on the ground as she turned to face the rest of the group.
She turned back in the direction of the building, ready to press on when she heard the scout's voice again. "It's kind of hot here isn't it Mia?"
"No, not really..." She paused, pulling her cloak a bit tighter. "I'm actually a tad chilly myself." She muttered, feeling just a twinge of concern for the stallion. She quickly pushed the thoughts aside as Traveler started barking excitedly, notifying her that they had finally reached the old guild hall...

You Have Reached Your Destination! Before you stands an old, but rather magnificent building, and though it's seen better days, you can clearly see the craftsmanship that was put into it. Large leafy plants have begun growing up the walls, giving the old guild hall an almost haunted look. You approach the giant wooden doors carefully, unsure of what creatures may have made their home inside. Slowly, you open the massive doors and peer inside. Looking around, nothing seems too out of the ordinary or unexpected, but you just can't shake the feeling that something is off... Continue on with care and keep your eyes open...You never know what dangers might lurk within...

For the rest of the trip to the hall, Soriano kept his distance from the others. He didn't mind them, but he was just no longer in the mood for conversation. Though, he did catch the scout mentioning it was hot. "I hope he didn't eat anything weird," Soriano mumbled to himself. He really didn't want to be dealing with a sick scout on top of whatever was inside the guild hall. The scarred stallion made his way up by Mia when they reached the guild hall, making sure that his approach was heard by the blind pony.
"I hope it doesn't collapse in on us," he muttered, simply being logical with how run down it appeared. He glanced back at the rest of the group with his orange eyes. "And I hope no one does anything dumb that could cause to get in harm's way." He didn't like the thought of going into a crumbling building with a bunch of other merchants, it was a recipe for a disaster if he knew one. Soriano let out a soft huff. "Lets go exploring," he said, going up to the large wooden doors.

Laurent begins to walk with the group, keeping his distance and remaining to himself as was his nature. It was far more important to finish the mission than socialize. His mind remains fixated on the road, careful on where he treads as they continue along on their journey and he presses along the road, contemplating what they might find.
The blind mare calls after impatiently at some point in the journey and his eyes drift to her but he doesn’t speak. He snorts a bit and continues walking, deciding not to give into the pull of annoyance at the impatience.
After what seems like an eternity they at last seem to reach their destination. Laurent studies the ruins with fascination and he can’t help but wonder what it was like amidst its glory days. Curiosity gets the better of him and he steps towards the old structure and follows the other merchant up towards the old doors. There certainly will be something waiting for them on the other side and he is eager to find out what. Laurent War Forged Merchant WC: 177 Post: 4

Kiger
"I understand how you feel little friend but just remember that you'll be fine so long as you stick close to me! I'll make sure you're safe and are able to get back home to Skeldr. How's that sound?" Kiger looked up at Killiah's reassuring expression. "I guess you're right. And um...you don't have to...?" she began awkwardly, but it seemed as if the other mare had her mind set. "We'll stay to the front and be fine Kiger!"
The black horse watched uncomfortably as Mia strode off down the right fork with an annoyed tail swish. She didn't think the others meant to offend the pony, but she supposed it couldn't be easy being the one with the information and having almost everyone disagree. There wasn't much she could do but fall in line behind Killiah's taller form, twitching her ear in amusement to track Mia's skinny dog snuffling about the group as they went. The two larger stallions brought up the rear in quiet conversation as the rest of the equines clustered about in the middle. It seemed as if they'd been traveling for ages, but in reality, it couldn't have been more than a couple hours. It was the sudden warning bark from Mia's dog that brought her out of the blurry haze of travel. Before them loomed a tall stone building, partially obscured by creeping vines and other similar plants. Whether there used to be any landscaping or not was lost to view, covered by overgrown forest. The front doors seemed remarkably intact for its age, though her spine tingled uneasily as they collectively pushed on the damp wood. It swung open with a soft swish of air, revealing a rather damp and dim interior--the small Onean windows were mostly choked off by thick bunches of leaves. Peering around Killiah's patterned butt, Kiger could easily imagine what the large dusty hall must've been like fifty years ago. The main room looked as if it could easily fit a hundred horses, if not more. Yet, she couldn't shake off the sense that there was something significantly unusual about the place...

Marea Mare / Traveling Merchant / War-Forged
The long way had turned out to be fairly safe, just as the young scout had promised, and Marea was both relieved and surprised that the group had made it to their destination largely unharmed and intact. The ancient guild hall was just about what one would picture if they were told to imagine and old edifice rumored to contain lost secrets - it was big, imposing, and quite nearly reclaimed by nature. Vines had snaked their way up the stone walls and poked in through the high windows that lined the building, and crumbling bits of masonry littered the ground around the hall. Marea hoped the dark chestnut stallion who made the off handed comment about the place caving in on them hadn't spoken too soon.
A little effort from everyone managed to open the long-closed doors, and despite the creaking and settling of the stone and wood, it was a rather uneventful breach. No grand collapse of the ceiling, no roar from beasts hidden within. At least not yet, anyway. Marea took a few steps inside, and the damp air seemed to grab on to her and draw her inside. It was unsettling. The combination of stale air and the lack of light made her feel as if she were walking into someone's tomb. As an entrepreneur, she knew you had to take risks and sometimes do some morally questionable things to secure your fortune, but this felt wrong, somehow. The silly foal feeling of being watched by something in the dark corners of the hall suddenly descended upon her, and she huffed at herself. Knowledge was knowledge, it belonged to no one and everyone at once. If the ghosts that lingered in this skeleton of a building wanted to put up a fight, fine. She would not leave empty handed.

Cosmos;War-Forged | Stone Circle if you wish to move mountains tomorrow, you must start lifting stones today Taken aback by the words of the grumbling merchant, Cosmos pondered his opinions carefully. Any voice was a voice worth hearing in his books. They had indeed had similar discussions when the Aodhian had come to them with the discussion of fighting their war. Home was obviously the most important place to be, but something things aren't that easy. Their Aodh alliance would be stretched thin if they were to deny their request, but another war was not what they needed to worry about either. But alas, these were not thoughts for the present. They had bigger fish to fry right now.
After a fairly quiet trip, they finally arrived at their destination. The ancient Guild Hall was rundown in appearance, yet it still held an air of importance and majesty. Cosmos tingled at the thought of the knowledge and secrets locked away and possibly rotting within. He followed the group inside the large doorways and his jaw slacked open in response to the magnificent grandeur that was the old hall. Kaia's presence was strong as it looked like she took over and kept the building standing for all these years. Roots were sprawled everywhere and flora climbed every nook and cranny it could fit into. Despite the crumbling appearance, Cosmos could tell that the hall was once filled with horses of great importance, the floor was worn with hoofprints and it made the large unicorn all the more eager to begin exploring. He was just about to continue his steps, yet something made him pause...

Soriano paused for a second as he entered the hall. A shiver went through him as a breeze through the crumbling building. Thank Kaia that this building is still standing, he thought as he glanced around. The scarred stallion kept a close eye on Mia, not wanting her to trip or find a her way into a crumbling wall. Another shiver went through him, but this time not from the breeze.
"Mia, please be careful were you put your hooves. There's something about this hall that I don't like," Soriano said, looking about. "It gives me the feeling of a cave-in in Briem's tunnels. I don't like it, makes me uneasy." He looked about again, uneasy and untrusting of the old structure. He was careful of where he placed his hooves, testing each step before trusting it with his weight. He kept his eyes and ears shifting, making sure the others watched their steps as well. It was no good for the herd if any of them were to injure themselves, and no good for any of them, especially the traveling merchants. They needed all their limbs to travel easily and without more risk to them traveling.

"Mia, please be careful were you put your hooves. There's something about this hall that I don't like. It gives me the feeling of a cave-in in Briem's tunnels. I don't like it, makes me uneasy."
The mare snorted in response, rolling her eyes under her thick forelock. "I'll be fine Soriano. This can't be any worse than that blizzard, and we survived that just no problem." She chuckled, trotting further into the empty hall. Her tiny hooves clicked against the hard, stone work floor as she attempted to make her way to one of the walls, searching for a way to scope out the room. Traveler bounced along beside her, wagging his tail happily, his tail brushing against her barrel with each pass.
Mia flicked her ears about absentmindedly, listening to the voices of the others moving about, whispering, and grumbling as they were want to do. After a bit though, a strange sound caught her attention as she continued on... an odd clicking of sorts. It started slowly, so much so that Mia hardly paid it any mind, but it quickly became harder to ignore as the clicking picked up the pace and a loud bang rang out through the room.
Woosh!
Something zipped past the mare's head and she involuntarily ducked slightly. "What was that?! Who thought it'd be funny to throw something at me?" She questioned the others, more demanding a confession than looking for an answer. Sometimes not being able to see was a blessing...other times it was just a pain in the ass. She sighed heavily, turning to face the others as she heard the sound of more things zipping by. "Well?!"

A Trap Has Been Activated! Someone has unwittingly activated what appears to be some sort of trap. With everyone now inside, the door has slammed shut behind you, trapping you within the guild hall's walls. From where you stand, you can see another door on the opposite side of the room, and it seems to be your only chance of escape. You'd better move quickly though, as arrows have begun flying out of strategically placed holes in the walls. Be careful! The last thing anyone needs right now is to be impaled.

Killiah | Mare Travelling Merchant
Killiah's concentration on her conversation fell away as the guild halls old wooden doors opened, the heavy oak doors swung inwards of silent hinges and allowed their little group to view the belly of the hall. High stone walls and interesting tepestries- the large mare didnt even wait to finish her conversation or for anyone else to follow, she trotted right in on loud hooves to inspect everything she came across; she loved the tapestries and the old oil paintings, the brass fittings and the extravagants of the whole thing. The large mares jaw would have dropped it it weren't for a noise from the small mare infront and the loud bang of the doors closing behind them
"What are you going on about Mia? No one threw anything-" her sentence was cut short as a rusty but quite sharp arrow bounced off the wall to her left startling her by the sudden clang against the wall. Booby traps!? There were BOOBY TRAPS!?, Killiah couldn't beleive her luck, first she was almost trampled by a smelly bear horse and now shes being attacked by Booby traps. The large mare growled but was stopped as another bounced off the front of her bracer; with pinned ears she leaped forward, not wanting to get hit in any part of her body, "EVERYBODY RUN!!" She hissed she tried to get the others to move but to her dismay none of them seemed to be moving at all
The arrows on the stone walls rang through her ears as she battled her self control, did she take off without them like a coward or bite and kick to get them into gear... she hated herself for her choice but she chose the former and hated herself for it. Baring her teeth she jumped forward and gave the closest horses to her a good hard nip to the flank, Yakira and poor little Kiger. The snaking move her head made exposed the right side of her thick neck giving way for two arrows to bury themselves in its flesh making her cry out in a sudden pain but she also kicked out, large hooves alighting with the soft flesh of Soriano's chest getting her another arrow, this one burying itself deep within the muscle above the stifle joint of her left leg. If no one got moving soon she'd have all the damn arrows burried in her flesh

Yakira | WF Scout | stallion
After what felt like an eternity they all reached their destination, the old guild hall. A magnificent construction rose above their heads. The guild hall was covered in all sorts of plant life, which made the giant guild hall fall in with the heavily forested area surrounding it. "I hope it doesn't collapse in on us,"
"And I hope no one does anything dumb that could cause to get in harm's way."
"Lets go exploring," Said Soriano before the group inched closer to the grand heavy wooden doors, and opened them with caution, as if the place was about to crash down on them. They went in and Yakira gazed at the guild hall. The interior was luxurious and spacious it could easily hold more than 100 equines. The group began splitting up searching for books and papers, with note worthy information. Yakikra tried to be close to Kiger and Killia But suddenly the heavy oak doors slammed, and broke the silence. Everyone looked at each other, but continued their search. *Click* "What was that?! Who thought it'd be funny to throw something at me?" exclaimed Mia, Yakira looked around in confusion. when he saw an arrow bounce off the wall. His face grew pale. "EVERYBODY RUN!!" Killiah screamed at everyone, but no one moved. Yakira freezed. What was happening. A sudden pain fled through his body, coming from his butt, Yakira screamed in agony. Killiah had bit him and Kiger. He felt harassed, how dare she?! Yakira ran through the only open door in the room while screaming: "EVERYBODY OUT!"

Kiger
She'd barely gone two lengths in when the doors slammed shut, making her jump. She clamped her mouth shut to bite back a wimpy sound, and tried to shake off the dark streaks that were threatening to swallow her mind. She was on a mission for the War Lord, she didn't have time for this kind of-- Click, click, click. Kiger momentarily registered the strange muffled sounds coming from inside the wall before the other horses were yelling. Then, it almost looked as if thin black bolts were streaking from the walls... Hmm? Bolts? Something hit the ground near her hooves and there was a cracking sound as if a hard part of it had shattered upon contact with the stone floor. The volume was growing as multiple shafts did the same on either side of them, shattering on the walls or ground in a uniform motion, narrowly avoiding flesh. "What was that?! Who thought it'd be funny to throw something at me?" she heard Mia's voice ask impatiently. She tried to form some kind of response but the words stuck in her throat as a thick soup of growing fear and confusion as she felt something flying past her ear that she couldn't even see. What was happening? What was happening? Mia's bright flaxen forelock stood out starkly under her hood in the dim light as the pony glared back blindly at the rest of the group. Kiger could only tilt her head and stare back--why couldn't she move? "EVERYBODY RUN!" Killiah's voice cut through the confusing mug like a hot knife. The bigger mare leaped forward and suddenly, a sharp flash of pain exploded in her flank and Kiger was spurred into action with a surprised whinny. She awkwardly leaped ahead in panic, skidding a little on the mildewy floor as the haze cleared like a window curtain. She heard someone screaming--well, in truth, she heard lots of screaming. In her mind's eye, she saw her mother being dragged away all over again, telling her to run, run, RUN--The black mare jerked her head out of the vision and immediately noticed dark doorway arching through the wall on the other side of the great room, where the pale, limber form of Yakira's back end seemed to be headed. She didn't want to go somewhere that seemed darker than the current room, but herd instinct took over quickly and she followed his voice as he cried back at the others, "EVERYBODY OUT!"
Too late the rational part of her mind remembered the others were still stuck back there. She tried the next best option. "Through here! THROUGH HERE!" she yelled, her voice cracking a little on the second try. Hopefully, the others would hear over their own panic and follow behind. Really, what could be worse than running straight into a dark hallway?

Laurent | War Forged Merchant | post: 5 Wc: 178
That slam is more than enough to cue Laurent. His head whips around to look at the door before chaos seems to ensue. The group begins to yell and his eyes fix ahead when it becomes apparent there is only one place to head for. The stallion pins his ears against his head and starts to charge for the door, practically disregarding what the others might be doing. He fixates on a single thing and that is escape. Something whizzes over his flesh and he can feel skin break.
A voice calls and Laurent follows, quickening his pace towards what hopefully holds safety from the onslaught of arrows. He keeps charging and keeps the focus on his own survival before he approaches the door, desperate to throw himself into it and practically skids to a halt. There is still the feeling of blood running down his skin and he looks over but remembers it'll be far too dark to see the mark on his flank. Both eyes then turn out to watch and wait for the others.

Marea Mare / Traveling Merchant / War-Forged
The few moments everyone had to gawk at the grandeur of the hall were short lived as all hell suddenly broke loose from the foundation of stone itself. Screams erupted from the gathered merchants and the pounding of hooves on stone rang through the room as everyone scattered, hoping to save their own hides. Marea listened as best she could to the directions; a "this way!" from the right, and a "that way, the door!" from somewhere farther in the room. Her ears rang as she galloped into the darkness. Sharp whizzes of air flew past her face and one lucky projectile skimmed through her mane, nicking her crest as it did.
The sting of pain only added her to her momentum, and with a sudden oof she collided against the wall in the hallway where some of the others had begun to gather, finding momentary shelter from the unexpected onslaught. Her shoulder now ached from the impact, and blood dripped from her crest, but otherwise she was unharmed. She panted and hissed into the darkness, "Who set these damn things?" she demanded to no one in particular, "Did the old guild members want to keep their knowledge hidden away? Or did some vagabond band make their camp in here?"

Soriano looked around the hall, impressed by it. He flicked an ear as the door slammed shut, thinking nothing of it and stepping further into the hall. He kept an eye on Mia, not wanting her to walk into a wall. Click, click, click That did not sound inviting. The scarred stallion looked to Mia as she demanded to know if someone had thrown something at her.
"No one threw anything Mia," Soriano said, ducking his head as an arrow flew over his own ears. "I think someone has planned to greet us by trying to kill us." From what the dark stallion could tell, he was the calmest of them all. The orange eyed stallion tried to back up to avoid getting Killah's hoof to his chest, but he wasn't quite quick enough. Soriano hissed in pain from the initial blow, but it wasn't bad enough for him to really kick up a fuss about it. He followed the others towards the doorway, only getting light knicks from an arrow or two. "Careful where you put your hooves from now on Mia, seems that the previous inhabitants of this hall planted booby traps to protect their hidden treasures further in."
He looked to the other merchants and concluded he was the only one, other than Mia, not shaken by the happenings of the hall. He huffed a bit, covering up for a laugh. What an interesting day.

Mi'AnoirYou and I will not be shaken By the winter sound
The moments that followed Mia's accusation seemed almost comedicly chaotic to the little mare. Even if it was for a joke, the whole thing seemed a tad over dramatic.
"What are you going on about Mia? No one threw anything-" Whoosh! the sound of another object flying by.
"EVERYBODY RUN!!"
Another voice, the one that belonged to Yakira, chimed in "EVERYBODY OUT!"
"Through here! THROUGH HERE!" Another called out.
"I think someone has planned to greet us by trying to kill us." Soriano's voice spoke calmly, almost as if he wasn't entirely sold on the joke.
The little merchant just shook her head, Following Traveler as he nervously led her to where the others were. Apparently all their yelling and joking around had gotten to the dog, and Mi'Anoir wasn't thrilled about it.
As she made her way through what seemed like a doorway, she heard yet another projectile whoosh by, making a loud thunk as it hit the door frame. The pony rolled her eyes. This was ridiculous. They were sent here on a mission by the Warlord herself, and all her party could do was make ridiculous jokes at her expense. It was to be expected, she supposed, such was the way of the War Forged it seemed. Even still, it was frustrating.
Once she got through the door, things seemed to quiet down. Maybe the joke was over and they could actually get on with their mission? Just as she though that could be the case, a gentle voice broke the silence.
"Who set these damn things? Did the old guild members want to keep their knowledge hidden away? Or did some vagabond band make their camp in here?"
Nope. The joke apparently wasn't over yet. Mia sighed heavily, quietly making her way down what seemed to be a rather narrow hallway as Soriano's voice piped up next to her.
"Careful where you put your hooves from now on Mia, seems that the previous inhabitants of this hall planted booby traps to protect their hidden treasures further in."
"Uh huh." The painted merchant muttered, entirely unconvinced by the stallion's claims. Even still, Mia decided to hang towards the back of the group, That way, they couldn't blame her for their next gag. They'd have to come up with something a whole lot more creative if they wanted her to believe it...

Killiah | Mare Travelling Merchant
Killiah had thought her attack on her companions had been a lot worse then it actually was, aand at first she felt guilty, but after a time and alot of stubborness the other horses still managed to sit around... ;Mia had not beleived any of them and thought it all a joke, Yakira and Kiger had Thankfully managed to get to the exit... a welcome sight to all the fuss they all kicked up. The large mare could smell the blood in the air, not just her own.. Laurent, and Marea were lucky enough to just get nicked and as she scanned over the rest of the group she found all to be a little frazzled and with afew cuts but nothing too serious
Ducking below a pair of Arrows she too made for the door at the end of the hallway making sure she was the last to get through it and out of the arrows. Her body hurt with every move and she made sure not to knock the shafts Inbedded in her neck and leg on anyone or anything, "No one's dead righ?" She counted heads and let out a sigh of relief that everyone was here. Her body hurt and trembled all over as the adrenaline wore off but atleast they could finish their mission with everyone relatively intact.. she was a little annoyed they didn't have a medic or anyone with training to remove the arrow in her flesh but she'd do her best to survive till they could get back to town

Soriano looked to Killiah, the scent of blood from everyone filling the air. He let out a hesitant sigh, he opened his bag up, grabbing the pulp that his mother had packed into his bag. "If you're bleeding, please come here," he said, slight irritation in his voice as he placed some on his own wounds. The scarred stallion offered it to anyone that needed it.
"We're not joking with you Mia, trust me," Sori grumbled, deadly serious about the situation they were in. "This guild hall has booby traps and we need to be careful were we place our hooves." He looked at everyone, his orange eyes sharp and serious. "We all need to watch our hooves." Soriano grumbled a bit to himself, not wanting to talk anymore, but he seemed to be the only one using his common sense and a level head in their current situation. He was getting a bit cranky dealing with all of the other merchants, other than Mia.
He hated this trip. He hated this hall. He didn't really care about the inner rewards, but the War Lord herself had asked him to come to the hall. That was one of two reasons he had decided to come along on this forsaken trip. The other being that he wanted to help watch out for Mia. The dark coated stallion let out a sigh.

Kiger
She almost ran into Yakira's butt side as they skidded out of the hail of arrows. The black mare snorted involuntarily as Marea flew past her in a blur of shadows and smacked into the opposite wall. The others were beginning to filter in behind her: the buckskin merchant's disgruntled yet surprisingly calm face broke through the dim lighting as he maneuvered past them; Mia's patchy dog, pale fur standing out sharply in the dimness as he dutifully led his owner through; the chestnut merchant with an irritated demeanor; and sweet relief at Killiah's bright face markings pushing through the gloom. Squinting, she could just make out the big draft roan stallion following as she tried to scoot forward a bit to give everyone some room, but without triggering something else. Kiger tried to force herself to relax, but there was a slight metallic tang in the air and she realized that maybe the others didn't seem to be as lucky as she was, after giving herself a once-over. Apart from a suspicious bruise on her ass and some ankle scrapes from knocking into rubble, she was relatively unharmed. She hoped, anyway. Her feet ached from all the knocking around on the stone floor. Maybe if they survived this trap infested hell she should buy some custom horseshoes. Much to her dismay, Mia was still expressing the belief that the whole ordeal was a joke. " We're serious," she tried to put in but suspected that if the pony wouldn't believe a close friend like the liver chestnut, then there was no way she'd believe someone she didn't actually know-- " By the gods, Killiah!" she exclaimed suddenly, spotting the arrows stuck in the big mare's neck. " You've been hit!" She temporarily forgot about her fear as she shoved through the press of bodies in the narrow passageway so she could guide her friend towards the liver chestnut, who seemed to know some healing tricks. He sounded more irritated than ever when she got close, trying not to tread on his long feathering, but she bit back an equally irritated retort. He's probably just stressed, she reasoned. She squinted a bit in the dusky hall as the stallion warned the others of booby traps. Of all the damned things..., she thought, slightly upset. This whole mission was turning out to be slightly more than she signed up for--well, thought she was signing up for. The black mare turned to peer apprehensively down the length of the hallway. She couldn't see the end, with it being so far away, but shivered to imagine what else would be waiting for them before they found something worth bringing home.

Cosmos;War-Forged | Stone Circle if you wish to move mountains tomorrow, you must start lifting stones today He was certainly glad he hesitated. Next thing he knew there was clicking and wooshing. Mia started throwing accusations about and Cosmos couldn't help but chuckle to himself despite the circumstances. The mood quickly changed when an arrow whizzed way too close to his back legs, getting lodged into his thick tail. It kicked him into gear and he sped forward while still keeping the rear, well mostly, Mia felt no reason to be in a rush. As much as he wanted to get through unscathed, his large body mass managed to catch a few arrows but he barely felt a thing at the time. His concern grew for the group, even if he wasn't a scout or raider, he felt the pressure weigh on his shoulders as he thought about reporting back to the Warlord.
Making it through the worst of it, Cosmos looked over himself to find a few nicks in his coat and a slice along his backside, but nothing that wouldn't heal and leave him immobilised. As they all gathered into the small space, Soriano offered his aid in patching the injured up. Cosmos shook his head, "I'll be just fine, there's worse off than me. I've got the extra bulk to protect me too." He said with a chuckle. When the worst was fixed up, Cosmos was eager to keep moving. "We may just want to be a little more cautious with our steps, that's an order Mia, but we also need to keep going. We want to make it back with some daylight to spare, while collecting what we need. Let's get it done." He told them positively. He began nosing his way along the wall looking for either and entrance or an exit and found himself a door.

Yakira | WF Scout | stallion
The metallic smell was very apparent in the narrow hallway, Yakira had avoided getting major injuries. However he had received a, now red, bite mark on one of his butt cheeks, because of Killiah's quick and 'effective' thinking. Yakira sat down and sulked over his bite mark. Every individual tooth mark was visible. Thanks Killiah, now I have a constant reminder; not tobe close to you in stressful situations, Yakira thought. Otherwise you'll use me as a stress ball. sigh
While sitting on the cold stone floor, still being butt hurt over the sore mark; Yakira hears a small argument between Mia and some others from the group. He spots Kiger accompany Killiah over to a mildly irritated Soriano, who apparently had something for Killiah's and the other's open wounds. Yakira stood up and shuffled a bit further into the hallway, and looked at the straight dark path lurking in front of him. "We may just want to be a little more cautious with our steps, that's an order Mia, but we also need to keep going. We want to make it back with some daylight to spare, while collecting what we need. Let's get it done." Cosmos said with a positive tone of voice. Yakira nodded with a blank expression. Looking back at cosmos and the others. "Let's get this over with"

Mi'AnoirYou and I will not be shaken By the winter sound
"We're not joking with you Mia, trust me, This guild hall has booby traps and we need to be careful were we place our hooves. We all need to watch our hooves." Soriano's voice was gruff, with a hint of irritation as he spoke. 'Yeah, I'll get right on that' she thought, the sarcasm struggling to stay hidden behind her tight lips. How on earth was she supposed to watch where she was going when she couldn't see a damn thing. Watch her hooves... the mare shook her head as she slowed her gait, allowing herself to fall closer to the back of the group as they made their way down the narrow hall.
"We may just want to be a little more cautious with our steps, that's an order Mia, but we also need to keep going. We want to make it back with some daylight to spare, while collecting what we need. Let's get it done."
'An order?' The mare snorted softly in response. She could only assume the voice belonged to the stallion who was part of the Stone Circle,as she couldn't imagine any of the others ordering her to do anything. Maybe it wasn't a joke, but either way, she didn't approve of the condescending way in which anyone was speaking to her, or the assumption that she was at fault. Irritation slowly rising within her, Mia halted, waiting for the others to get a few paces ahead of her. They wanted her to watch where she was going, then she would, the only way she knew how.
"watch your hooves, Mia ..." Mia muttered mockingly under her breath as she trudged along, "more like, just stay out of our way, Mia..." Her grumbling continued as Traveler pressed against the mare's side, concerned by the way she was speaking, even if it wasn't truly to anyone.
Her ears flicked forward as yet another unfamiliar sound reached her ears from up ahead where the others were. Suddenly a low, almost grumbling sound began moving overhead. Stopping in her tracks, Mia waited until the sound had completely passed over top of her, flinching gently as a loud THUNK sounded just a few feet in front of her as something dropped down from above. Traveler let out a terrified yelp, tucking his tail between his legs as he rushed to get behind Mia, though the mare just stood there in quiet shock as whatever had dropped down began rolling forward.

Rolling Stones Another trap has been activated! A giant boulder has dropped down from above you and is now gaining speed as it rolls towards you! You'd better run if you have any hope of making it back to the Warlord alive. The hall is narrow, and rather dark, making it difficult to see what is in front of you, but you think you can make out a light from around a corner far up ahead....

Killiah| Mare Travelling Merchant
It had been great everyone had gotten through the arrows alive, few nicks, couple of bruises sure but they were all still breaghing and that was the main part. Killiah was a little butt hurt however at the lack of order around her... that combined with the push for her to seek medical help was really annoying, "I'm not having these arrows removed by petty Merchants with no medical knowledge what so ever!" She huffed, bending around to snap the wooden shaft of the arrow in her leg, "I'll break off the ends so i won't knock em, I'll survive then till we get back to town... don't worry about me any of you, just get your butts in gear so we can go home!", Killiah had had enough of other horses and the stupidity and slow reactions around her, they were all going to die at this rate and she was having no part of it
Snapping off the remaining shafts of the arrows in her neck she stomped forward, pushing her way through anyone who got in the way, even being so bold as to shove past the snooty stallion. They had no choice but to go forward and if she had to go forward then she'd go forward having a mood like some uncontrolled foal; her heavy shoed steps banned hard on the stone floor, the echo of each hoofbeat bouncing off the walls around her. A little further up one of the stones beneath her hooves sank an inch with a click and she swore at herself, "Damn hazard, I could have tripped!", her words were short lived when a rumbling behind her made her turn her head to look back over her shoulder. She only caught a glimpse of the trouble as it crashed down behind their group, Mia being somewhere on the otherside of the big huge boulder... "Damn... what now?" She growled to herself and turned back, picking up her legs to speed up. Everyone for themselves this time, if they didnt move it wasn't her fault

Soriano bit his tongue as Killiah snapped a bit. He did not take lightly to being called a petty merchant with no medical experience. He grumbled and put the salve away once everyone was patched up. The scarred stallion hung back, only a short distance from Mia. He could hear her grumbling, but he didn't say anything, he'd probably make matters worse with the mare. He heard Killiah swear about tripping over something.
"Dammit Killiah!" he yelled at her as he heard the ticking of the boulder coming. He jumped a bit as the boulder dropped a few hair widths from his haunches. He grit his teeth. "This is why you need to watch where the hell your putting your hooves!" He wasn't happy, and he quickly took off down the narrow corridor, glaring a bit at each herd member he passed.
"Get a move on or rolled over," he hissed as he went along to the others. Soriano just wanted to go home. He wanted to make his wares and travel to sell them. He wanted to get the hell out of this god forsaken hall filled with its traps meant to kill them. It's a move or die situation, he thought as he made his way towards the faint light at the end of the hall.

Laurent | War Forged Merchant Post: 6 Wc: 225 Laurent perhaps knew from the start that a particular mare within the group was not to his liking. Both ears pin back against his skull at her outburst in rejection to medical care. “You are an imbecile to reject the aid offered to you,” he speaks up and looks at Killiah. “Many of us “petty merchants” may have knowledge and skills that involve medicinal practice due to the strenuous journeys we might take.
Clearly though, you cannot swallow infantile pride and should you bleed out you deserve to be food for wolves and crows.” Despite his silence he lets his claws show and he truly means every calloused word that slips from his tongue. It is not so much the danger now that makes Laurent long for home but the sheer need to break away from these infuriating individuals.
He continues walking until he can hear the mare once again speak. Both of his ears pin back against his skull and his lip curls slightly in irritation until he hears the rumbling. Oh how lovely, more traps. Laurent wastes no time and merely starts to bolt towards the light, keep his eyes fixated on what little glisten he can make out within the dark passageway. “There better be something worth while at the end of this!” He growls to himself as he continues pressing onwards.

Kiger
Kiger chewed her lip anxiously as Killiah pushed away from her attempts at getting the wound seen to, and tempers suddenly flared in the small crowded hallway. Was this just how it was? She couldn't help but feel a flash of ire herself as well but quashed it quickly as the others began moving again, superstitiously avoiding the broken arrow shafts from where they had been discarded on the stony floor.
"Let's get this over with," she heard Yakira saying from somewhere nearby. She bobbed her head slightly in agreement, even if no one would be able to see it. The others were right, though. They'd gotten this far, survived the first trap--it would be stupid to turn back now, however much she wished she could just bolt straight back to town and curl up under a blanket.
Angry voices brought her out of her thoughts, yet again. There was one she hadn't heard before, and it suddenly occurred to her that the buckskin had finally spoken, even if it was a harsh rebuke at Killiah's frustrated clamor. However much she wished to defend her friend's behavior, she mashed her lips together and didn't speak. She doubted that with such tensions here, her own input would help anyone. She felt the hot irritation rise in her throat again but instead clamped her mouth shut even harder. If she spoke out of anger now, she would only make things much worse. They all wanted to get out as unscathed as possible; "No one knew the guild hall was gonna be booby trapped," she accidentally said aloud, with a sharp edge to boot. Oh, crap. She flattened her ears in embarrassment, cautiously inching forward, listening to the loud sounds of Killiah's horseshoes as they stomped angrily down the hallway--
"Damn hazard, I could have tripped!" "Killiah--?"
The sound of stone ground from somewhere above and behind them, cutting her off. There was a sudden clatter as a huge, extra dark object fell from the unlit ceiling with a mighty crash, and it slowly began headed their way. "Dammit Killiah! This is why you need to watch where the hell you're putting your hooves!"
Horses scattered, hearing the rumble of stone grinding against stone as a boulder bounced and began picking up speed down the sloping passageway. For a terrifying heartbeat, Kiger was shocked. The sound of hoofbeats suddenly exploded around them as the others picked up speed. Where the hell did they think they were even going?! Then her eyes picked out a faintly illuminated shape at the end of the hall, where she realized she could see the other horses' silhouettes. Oh. As the stone rolled closer, she scrabbled frantically to follow their lead.
No wonder the ground had felt so strange under hoof, Kiger thought briefly as she fled the giant stone. It's freaking downhill!

Mi'AnoirYou and I will not be shaken By the winter sound
The mare shook her head slightly, an attempt to snap out of her previously shocked state as the giant object began to move towards the others. Traveler's barking rang in her ears as she began moving forward. Though she was more cautious than before, Mia couldn't help but feel a little pleased that someone else had most certainly caused this mess and she wouldn't be blamed. With a smirk on her face, she loped along the pathway, following the sounds of her terrified companions.
Traveler had stopped barking by now, and Mia was almost enjoying herself, or at least, enjoying the relief of being behind the giant thing instead of in front of it. With her short little legs, she knew there was no way she would have been able to outrun it, especially with how quickly the others had already seemed to outpace her. Then again, right now, she wasn't running for her life. A slight chuckle slipped through her lips as she continued down the hall. This would definitely make one hell of a story to share with Hira later.

Killiah | Mare Travelling Merchant
Killiah kicked herself for the mistake she'd made unleashing the boulder on the team but with all that was happening she didn't have time to worry about that. "MOVE YOUR ASSES" she growled leaping forward down the hall, she wouldn't be responsible for the other horses not moving... but if they didnt want to run then let them get run over, she may have been annoyed she let loose the boulder but that could have been anyone's fault but no she was unlucky enough to step on that button, press that damn slab under her heavy hooves. She could have just been happy staying home under her blanket with her girlfriend but no she was here pounding down a halway with a boulder chasing behind her. With a heavy growl she charged forward, following the little bit of light before sliding to a stop and skidding around the corner out of the boulders path. "Kaia help you now!! HURRY UP YOU FOOLS!" She stomped her hooves before turning on her heel, making her way into the lit chamber before her

"Yakira
The consistent sound of hoves against the stone floor, calmed Yakira's nerves, it caised him to be in a trans like state, not quite awake and not quite asleep. Due to the traumatizing event that occured earlier earlier that day, Yakira kept his distance from the now irritated mare, who for some reason lead the group on in the dark and narrow hallway. Someone's hoof slipped, it sounded like nails on a chalk board to Yakira's ears, a shiver went down his spine. "Damn hazard, I could have tripped!" snarreled Killiah, making it obvious who created the chilling noise.
A heavy object fell down on the floor. A slow rumble began emerging from behind them, a wave of fear hit the group, as they noticed the round heavy stone ball began rolling toward them. A light emerged from the end of the tunnel. Yakira fixated his eyes on the new opening, cantering toward it, trying not to slip. He heard yelling coming from all sides, a mix of panic and fear. Everything slowed down around Yakira, while running toward the light. He heard the continuos yelling but understood nothing, he only focused on his goal. Finally he had reatched the light, which now surrounded him. Yakira's heart dropped. He was safe, and collapsed on the ground beneath him.

Cosmos;War-Forged | Stone Circle if you wish to move mountains tomorrow, you must start lifting stones today Whiskers skimmed the door frame just as voices picked up again. There were disgruntled mutterings and a familiar clicking sound that made every hair on Cosmos's body rise. The bickering began but Cosmos could feel that something much graver was headed their way, literally. Two seconds later and a giant clanging began heading towards them. His heart began beating in time with the boulder as he found his legs picking up speed. He thought about yelling some encouraging words but thought it wouldn't be worth the effort, everyone was already bolting just as fast. He found his heavy build weighing him down as the others sped past him. He began losing hope, but then the glint of light caught his attention and his feet found a little more speed.
Panting heavily, dripping with sweat, Cosmos basically rolled into the room of light. Heaving trying to catch his breath as he watched the ridiculous boulder pass them and come to a stop. He shook his head watching a little merchant and her dog join them, the smuggest look upon her face. Despite his utter lack of athletic ability, Cosmos couldn't help but chuckle. Taking a moment to catch his breath, he began to take a look at the room they had landed themselves in. His eyes expanded unrealistically as he looked over every detail. "Incredible." Was all he could deliver huskily.
