Vigil
No smile graced his lips, for how was one supposed to smile in such pressing times. Still those around him craved bloodshed, their weapons whimpering for skin contact. He could sense it all, and it was a reason he loathed them all. He judged them far to cruelly for his own good, But still they remained less then him, maggots. That was what they were. Vigil nodded as Godric went to help aid in this capture, clear that Ryuko would be theirs to question.
Eyes narrowed all the more as the one they planned to capture shouted out orders to get their soldiers out of here. He may be the enemy, but at least he had some wits about him. Vigil eyed the others, but a faint snarl erupted from his mouth, sounding more feral then anything. He was about to met his horn to the sword, but Ithran had come to aid, sheild making contact with sword. Ithran spoke his words, and Vigil looked over to Jinxx and he couldnt help, but want to sneer. Ithran left the mare by herself? He didnt find that to be a wise decision, but Jinxx was a paid mercenary and he had witnessed her talents before. Still it made him uneasy, he was not a fan and would mention something of this later.
Vigil moved quickly and flanked Ryuko as he rushed to Godric, the two stallions should be able to keep the one down. Eyes narrowed down, his golden mask gleaming in the sunlight that hit it just right. He snorted heavily, as his ears remained perked and looked at Ryuko, waiting and judging all the more. To see if this horse was given more credit then they deserved.
"You're no good to anyone dead."
His words blunt and cold, but the words rang true none the less.

Godric The swords piercing his skin ripped a gasp from Godric, his face twisting in agony as they found their mark and dug deep. The one in his shoulder was numb, surely getting through his muscles and permanently weakening that side. The one between his ribs, however? that one burned. The warcry that ushered from his throat left it raw, his teeth bared as he swung again at the mare who had followed his attacks, blind with rage as blood spilt from his mouth. But again she was too fast and was suddenly gone, leaving Godric shivering, his sword turned back to their leader. Godric snarled, edges of black beginning to surround his vision. Shaking his head, he raised his shield and circled the stallion with Vigil.
When Ithran bounded over to them, Godric released a sigh of relief and let him take his place. He had no words for the stallion that they surrounded, his mouth clamped shut as he tried to control his breathing, the sound rugged and wet as it left his nose. gods, he was tired. Baring red stained teeth, Godric spit at the ground and glanced at Ithran. Even if it looked like they had won, they could not let their guards down.

Jinxx [ post # 4 || word count: 250] |
As the battle came to an end, Jinxx looked around at the various horses who were fighting both alongside her and against her. The vindicators had won, and the aodhians who werent on the ground ran. She glanced down at Axenus who was struggling to stand, let alone fight. She sighed, taking a step toward him and planting her hoof firmly on his shoulder and pushing him to the ground. "Stop fighting." She said, as if he were nothing to her, just an inconvenience.
Mathia trotted over, now having recovered from being thrown to the side of the battle field. She leaped from the ground and onto Jinxx's back, sitting on her rump and looking down at Axenus who was not going to be leaving with his friends. Ithran called out to her to capture him. "Watch him Mathia." She said, stomping a hoof next to the chevalier. The hyena hopped down and sat near him, snarling angrily. Jinxx trotted next to a tree where they had put some of their things, including a coil of rope.
Walking back to the nearly unconious warrior, she dragged it through the mud, smiling. Once she reached him, she used her telekenis to guide the rope around his ankles a wrapped them tightly until she brought each leg together, tied like a hog. "Not so strong now, are you?" She hissed, pulling the rope tighter and tighter until tying it in a knot. Today, they had won.
"If I ever were to marry, I'd want somebody to tame me and you'd never be able to do it. You'd grow to despise me." |

[ Axenus ]
It was back to the ground for him, being shoved over before he could regain his footing. His hold had been lost on the blades he’d been grabbing for, falling back over with him on his descent. The Mercenary that spoke to him received a look that was anything but kind, annoyance in their blue depths with so much anger and rage. Stop fighting? Something must not have been spinning properly in that hollow skull of hers. A warrior fought, not gave up so easily. If he was going to sit there and take it, then he was not fit to be called a warrior.
Ryuko called out to the rest of their comrades, urging them to go and complete their mission. There was no need for them to stick around while they still had a chance at finishing what needed to be done. His head still spun, Axenus barely able to make out the form of his fellow Chevalier being surrounded by the rest of the Vagabonds. No, if he’d been able to keep his footing, he’d have charged right back in there into battle, but he was being pet sat by some pet and they thought they could scare him into behaving and sitting there. Right. His lip curled back in annoyance, teeth snapping out towards the fleabag in an attempt to get at them. Shouldn’t sit too close.
His head turned towards the mare when she approached once again and he felt her tie up his legs with rope, binding them together. He pressed his lips into a thin line, staring up at her with his still fuzzy gaze. Yeah, we’ll see how long that holds me down. I’m no dog, some rope won’t keep you safe forever. Just you wait. “You underestimate my abilities,” he replied in a bored tone, shifting his legs uncomfortably as the rope rubbed against his skin. Hopefully once his head stopped throbbing and his vision came to, he could escape from his binds and snap the damn Mercenary’s neck. It was what he wanted to do. “My comrades will finish this and soon we will join them. We’re not done here yet.”

congratulations! The Vindicators ended the battle abruptly. The chevaliers who had not been captured were chased off the way they'd come, back to the safety of Valore. Their hostages in tow, the Vindicators returned to their camp, and pondered the stakes of their victory. Would their battle truly threaten the alliance between Aodh and the Forged? Had stopping this meeting done anything to stop the war? These questions weighed heavy as the camp celebrated their triumph. The Vindicators were hardly accustomed to winning battles these days, though; even what they had managed here today was worthy of the feast had in the camp that evening. 20 AP and 20 CS to: Godric, Vigil, Jinxx, Axenus, Beyond, Ithran, Ryuko, Brielle.
