Beyond~
She shifted a little nervously, standing still was not her favourite thing to do, but here she stood patiently and quietly. Waiting, she was waiting for Quince, he had asked to meet her here, just outside the barracks. The small jewels on her bridle clinked softly as she swept her eyes over the area around her one more time. She'd chosen a nice simple peice to wear today, it was made of fine gold chain and some small red gems that matched her eyes, rubies maybe? It was certainly more confortable than the metal helmet she often had to cram her head into, it was not often she got the chance to wear something nice. She delicately flared her nostrils, catching a whiff of the strong perfume of incense that emanated from her coat, that was not her fault. As usual she had been to pray to Ignacio, only this morning a sanctum helper had walked right into her with a lit set of incense sticks. There was a dark spot on her coat from the ash, but there was nothing she could do now. She glanced at the sky with no particular urgency, it was a lovely blue, a little like Quinces beautiful wings. She loved the beauty of pegasi, but the chevalier had a certain majesty about him with those stunning wings and the eyes so similar to her own that clashed beautifully with his feathers. She caught distant eyes watching her curiously as she gazed at the sky and shot a sharp glare in their direction, her glare was followed by the quick clicking of hooves shuffling away. She huffed a little, some equines were to nosy for her liking, but today she did not plan on getting in any fights or bloody brawls. She contentedly returned to her patient wait...

QUINCE WC: 415
With a long exhale, Quince's eyes flicked open. He had just taken a much-desired bath, and his feathers clung together as they dripped with water. The baths were large and invited many people in at once, much like a public pool. Of course, for most it was normal as the only undressing one needed to do was usually take a bridle off or perhaps another piece of jewelry. It was rare that armour was worn into this room, so it appeared plenty normal. Of course, today - or tonight, rather - had a much more important feel to it than a usual afternoon. He carefully shook himself dry, allowing his feathers to fluff up before also shaking them dry. His mane was another story, however; it took nearly fifteen minutes of careful and precise movements to remove all of the water that had saturated it without it growing tangled. Once all of this had finally been completed, he returned to his own quarters and stretched a bit. Because tonight was special, he decided not to tie in his usual hair bands. Yes, they were flashy, but he felt the need to try something a little different. He let his mane fall loose and dutch braided the base. It was rare for him to wear it so loosely; it felt nice, in all honesty.
But enough about his nervous routine.
As stated before, this night was particularly special; he had, in the spur of a moment, asked Beyond, a mare he knew from a mission to the swamps (the Vagabond incident, in which he referred to it as) on something like a date. It was completely unlike him, as he'd never done something like this in his life. Of course, he did have flings when he was much younger and more reckless, but this felt different by a longshot. As much as he didn't like to admit it, he was apparently quite smitten with her.
He finally made his way outside of the barracks, his feathers twinkling under the radiant light of the fading sun. It was not quite sunset, but the heat of the day had long passed. Beyond was waiting just outside. He took a moment to silently admire her presence before catching her attention. With a secretly-nervous swish of his tail, the pegasus strode towards her with a confident smile. "I hope I didn't keep you waiting too long...?" He gave her a worried, innocent smile and came to a stop in front of her.

Beyond~
Her head turned with a slight tinkle of jewels as her eyes were caught by the glisten of the stallions bright wings, her heart fluttered for a moment as she smiled warmly acknowledging his arrival. Now the nerves began to run down her spine, if she was honest she may have been avoiding him a little since their last mission together. Her emotions had been a little wild and had gotten the best of her, she had embarrassed herself. The shame had kept her away from him, she guessed it was then she realised that he had taken a little bit of her with him when they went their seperate ways on their return. But she was loathe to admit it yet. She adjusted her stance a little to appear more casual as he ca,e to a halt before her and she couldn't help but note how beautifully his coat and feathers shone in the sunlight. Often the other chevaliers were coated in sweat and grime, it made no difference to them whether they were clean or not. But she always took care of herself and it was refreshing to see a chevalier who didn't wear their sweat like a medal. She also noticed his half-loose hair, it suited him, her own dark locks were draped freely down her neck, her tail had received a trim earlier that day in order to look its best.
"I hope I didn't keep you waiting to long...?"
"No, no, not at all!" She replied, returning his concerned smile with an honest grin "I've only been here a few minutes, I was worried I would be late" she laughed softly. She bit her lip slightly, this was to be her first... well, she guessed date was the best term. She was excited and terrified at the same time, Quince looked so handsome with his plumage and shining champagne coat that she felt a little drab next to him, but maybe she could make up in personality. She silently prayed to Ignacio that she would not mess this up as she turned her gaze to the sky for a moment. The sun was starting the final leg of its descent below the distant horizon, sending long tendrils of warm light over the district. Soon it would be sunset, Ignacios glorious display for the occupants of Hireath. "Ah" she sighed "I love sunsets" she muttered more to herself, she looked back to his bright, delicately feathered face. Although she'd never been on a date before, she had a good feeling about tonight
