Raksha|Breim|Outsider
You need never feel broken again Sometimes darkness Can show you the light
Alone again. Only a few hours ago she would have been glad to be sole again but now it was strange and it felt uncomfortable. The presence of the vivid colt had been soothing for her soul and now that he left she felt really odd. Raksha had no idea for how long she stood there, and watched the door that had closed behind the young pegasus colt. The mare had promised to meet him and his adoptive parents later, but for now it was wiser to leave. When they finally found the way back to the city, Breidan looked tired, and still a little bit shocked. And he was slightly limping. Beside him was she, in comparison to the small colt a gigantic mare, with scales spread over her face, legs and back. Not to forget the massive antlers on her head. No one would doubt that she was a kirin. Mare and colt presented a curious sight and almost every horse they crossed had a shocked expression on their face. They all drew the wrong conclusion, but no one was brave enough to confront the kirin. Or at least, not directly. Raksha would learn later that one or two of them directly ran to the King’s Guide. Her plan was to make her way back to the labyrinth. She just wanted to get out of the city again, away from the crowd with their accusing gazes and murmured insults. The kirin mare tried not to pay attention to them at that actually worked - to the point where some horse blocked her way. Raksha stopped and looked down on the unicorn. It was a stallion, blue roan coat and extraordinary blue-colored horns. His mane and tail also had a blue tint, probably dyed. But maybe the most striking on his appearance were his clothes. Most other horses she had seen since her awakening were barely dressed. A few subtle cloaks or jewelry here and there, but nothing like that. He seemed important. “What do you want?” she snorted coldly and met his gaze.

NURIKO
A fork rose to his mouth, his dish of rose pedals and steamed potatoes a delicacy he rarely indulged in. But after meeting two of the flame kisses beasts, Nuriko felt this was a fitting reward. Something he deserved. After merely two bites the stallions meal was heavily interrupted by frantic knocking on his door. His mind switched between anger and annoyance before settling on acceptance. Setting the fork down with a calm ease, the roan unicorn stood and tossed his head to settle his mane down. Always had to look presentable. Always had to be perfect.
Always.
Sliding open the door with a small pull of his Teke the King's Guide glimpsed an equine who seemed massively out off breath. His head tipped down, watching as the equine frantically bowed. "Nuriko, Sir. There's been another sighting. This time she had an injured pegasi child with her." A brow rose on one side of his face, expression hardening slightly. "Do we know if the child was hurt because of her?" The equine shook their head frantically, tossed mane flowing from side to side like a wind storm. "We only know she brought him to the temple and then vanished back into the tunnel." Nuriko sighed softly and gestured for the male to wait just a moment. The door closed and in a flurry of fabric and gems the equine dressed with ease and elegance only a practiced dresser would understand. In less then 2 minutes he was finished and opened the door once more.
"show me." He instructed, traveling after the other equine with a hurried grace.
It wasn't much time at all before the guard gestured towards a tunnel and the stallion trotted forward alone. A few more guards gathered at the entrance but Nuriko preferred to handle these encounters alone. Her figure wasn't hard to miss. Being one of the largest he had glimpsed in a long time. The glowing gems in the walls danced light off her scales, glistening from the long antlers that adorned her head. The description he had been given was not wrong. Another Kirin stood before him. 3/4 he had met now. Would he actually get a chance to meet them all?
With a soft breath the stallion stood proud, head tipped up and his body posture relaxed. A calm upturn of his lips and smooth half masted eyes resulted as he turned his head just a bit. Sizing her up in one quick breath. "Seems all of your kind react the same way to strangers... Strange." He filed that information away for a later date. Their hostility wasn't at all surprising. "I'm afraid your appearance with an injured pegasi colt has raised quite a few concerns. Do you care to walk with me while I listen to your side of the story, Miss...?" What a way with words this one was. Nuriko gestured with his front hoof, gems chiming together on his robes from the action. It wouldn't be any surprise that someone would need to speak with her considering what many had just witnessed. Nuriko's mind could only focus on the negative. These creatures of flame deserved nothing from them. Not after what they had done all those centuries ago.

Her ears folded flat against her neck as he looked her up and down, sizing her up, judgingly. “Funny, I could say the same about this herd” the mare replied sharply and slightly lifted her head to make herself even bigger than she already was. So Breidan really had said the truth. Other kirins did actually live down here, the unicorn just had confirmed it. She had to find a way to meet them, sooner or later. When the stallion told her the reason for his visit, she let out a choppily laughter, but it was no humour in it. “Would have anyone cared if I had a horn, or wings instead of scales and antlers?” she asked scornfully. It was a rhetorical question and she knew the answer. “I’ll go with you, but I fear it will be a rather short walk, for I can summarize the story briefly.” The mare walked beside him and took a quick glance at him from the side. “Raksha. No miss. And who are you? A Guardian of Justice?” she asked suspiciously. He expressed himself well, that and his robes told him that he was someone important and that she’d better not made him angry. “Long story short, the colt got lost in the tunnels, on his way to school. I was there at random and lead him the way out. At first everything was alright, but when he saw that I’m a Kirin, he started to panick. He blindly ran away and his ankle got stuck between two stones. I released him and brought him home. That is it. The truth”

It was getting easier and easier to just let the remarks of these Kirin's slide right off his perfectly ironed robes. After all, they where the ones out of their element. Not the other way around this time. Nuriko would make sure Briem maintained the upper hand in dealing with this knew surge of equine, long since myth told of their disappearance into thin air. With a soft breath he walked along side the mare, watching each and every little detail about her. How she walked, which side was stronger, the color of her scales, how hard her hooves hit the ground and how she held her head. It was almost nice to see she did in fact, realize he was of importance within the herd.
"Raksha, a unique name for a unique equine." Since she was being rather polite in terms of how her body reacted to him, he might as well use that to his advantage. "Hmm, not quite. I'm Nuriko, of the King's Guide. I help the High King here make decisions and pass laws to better the herd, and protect them." A soft smile graced his lips, head tilting a bit in her direction as his horns caught some of the glimmering light in the caves. Let this information sink in before he would move on and absorb her story.
Legs moved gracefully along the caves, the torches along the walls lighting the way for them. His garments where perfectly in place and his eyeliner only emphasized his half masted eyes in the dark. "Well I must thank you then, on behalf of the Colt, for helping him find his way. I'm guessing you've been in these caves quite a while if you knew the correct way to take him?" Always questions, always answers. He would find out as much about her as he could. To store away for later use. If he needed to be nice, then he might as well play that card. He was after all, gorgeous, in terms of Briem's beauty standards and he did think that as well. Maybe he would import a peacock for himself when he wanted a familiar....

The Kings Guide. So that was interesting. That conversation could either turn out rather well for her, or really, really bad if she managed to upset the proud equine beside her. It was clear from only one look at him that he was an advisor, not an executor. His cloth were impractical for a possible fight. His mind was vigilant, but not his body. Definitely not a fighter. And Raksha had no idea why or how she noticed the subtle signs that told her all that. “There is no need to thank me for that, everyone had done the same in my place.” she said lightly and out of the corner of her eye she noticed the strange look that Nuriko gave her. “What? Is it such a great surprise that I helped him instead of...what? Torture an innocent colt? Eating him alive? I’m no monster.” Her voice was cold and sharp as ice. She definitely had enough of those horses, looking at her as if she was about to set their rumps on fire. “Let’s just say that I’m in the labyrinth for a while. Your people let me no other choice. They didn’t seemed like they would tolerate me in the city…I woke up in Sterling. A really unfriendly horse brought me to Nariah, he told me that there are other kirins here, and the colt confirmed that.” It wouldn’t be a disadvantage for her to tell him that, for it was rather obvious that someone in her situation would try to find other kirins. “I wanted him to show me the way out of this...tunnels, but he told me that kirins aren’t allowed to leave this place. Why not? If everyone here seems to hate my kin so badly, why am I not allowed to go home?” Now the slight tone of frustration and anger mingled into her voice, while she looked directly at the King’s Guide.

The stallion could feel the nearly ice cold words that whipped from her mouth from just a quick glance. Quite a contrast in turn to the normal fire proof hides the bore. With a small head tilt he lifted on leg, feigning himself insulted at her judgement of him. "Dear Raksha, I meant no insult. Being that Kirin's are very new to us here and what they did to our ancestors, we can't help but be a little weary. It's why I'm here, to address the situation and make sure peace remains." He gestured with his hoof towards a tunnel to their left, keeping her from losing her way in the shadowy maze.
He walked quietly as she spoke, listening to her plight and how she was treated. No less then she deserved, but he would make sure she didn't feel like that by the end of this. Or at least he would try. "Ah yes, the way out." It would be so easy to just release them all into the plains above them, like watching baby birds fly for the first time. "It's not as simple as just walking out of here, sadly. Or I would gladly show you the way. Being that you appeared here, the best I can do is help you with some accommodations so you don't end up forever lost in these tunnels. I am bound by my king and until he tells me what we should or shouldn't do with the Kirin's who now reside here, I cannot speak for him on the matter. But I can try to make your stay here much more comfortable." He paused, again leading her down yet another tunnel to their left and towards the town.
"I know of another Kirin named Mairon who would be glad for the company, should you wish to meet him. Does this sound acceptable to you?" He paused, looking up at her while showing her the way out and towards the small gathering of houses he had come from.

It made her feel wake to depend on his lead, but she was more than aware that she would get lost in that tunnel maze within a few minutes on her own. “I understand that this situation must be...difficult for your herd, but for us...me and the other kirins is it even harder. Not only that every equine I met so far has treated me like I’m about to come into their home and wipe out their whole family. And I don’t even know why. I don’t even know who I AM. What gives them the right to judge me if they know even less about me than I do?” she asked with a frustrated undertone in her voice. And it was not only that. It was about this terrible place. Her bones ached under the weight of the earth above her head and from the few flashbacks she had when she woke up, it was also clear why she felt that way. “I know, and I’m sorry for my reactions it’s just...not easy. I don’t like to admit it but I really could use some help.” The kirin mare’s ears moved back and forth, the sounds become louder, so they must get closer to the city again. And Raksha had no idea if she was glad about that or not. “I’d like to learn...would I be able to get some books? About the fate of my people? And what have happened in the world afterwards?” she asked a little unwillingly.
Despite everything her mood lightened up immediately when he mentioned another kirin. The name didn’t sounded familiar but at least it was a brethren. Well presumed that this king’s guide wasn’t playing a fool trick on her. “I’d be glad to meet him. Thank you”

NURIKO
The suttle hints of her body relaxing, her head lowering and her steps growing lighter all spoke volumes that he was helping. Easing her Woe's and concerns. His words were working. Again he listened, taking in her other plights and filing them away for later use. He needed to speak to the high king about all of this. These equines needed a for sure answer about their fate. With a small breath he glanced to her and nodded his head. "Books? Of course, I will visit a shrine for you and gather a few." He gave a smile and it almost reached his eyes. Almost. But the fact she wanted to know, maybe there was hope left.
It was no surprise that the large draft mare's mood lifted completely at the mention of Mairon. Who's wouldn't... The unicorn had to mentally slap himself from those thoughts and quickly side stepped infront of her, leading her down yet another new tunnel. "If you have not much to do at this moment, why don't I introduce you both now?" He started to walk forward easily, robes shuffling and moving along his form like water, perfectly made for his dainty form. "Though if you are tired, I do not mind helping you find accommodations and we can save the introductions for another day." He paused, smoothly turning his head over his back to look at the mare with almost caring eyes. Almost.
