On Strange Tides
Participants: Calypso (silencethewolf) and Ceto (War-colt)
Takes place shortly after the events of Chapter 3
It had only been a day or two since the solstice and yet so much had happened. First you're at a bar having a drink and a little snoop around other people's pockets and the next thing you know you're heading to Eithne with a bunch of rogues and two kirins. Calypso had just snuck onto the closest ship and hid in a small compartment below the deck. The locks didn't seem to be a problem, and she didn't really have a ship of her own to travel on so it was more convenient to just stow-away on some poor sods vessel. By the time they realised that she was even there, they were stuck with her. The compartment that she'd been hiding in was cramped and musty. There was a dim ray of sunlight that filtered through a hatch as bits of dust floated gently around her. Calypso sneered in disgust, she needed to get some fresh air.
She began to make her way to the hatch, feeling out with her telekinesis as she tried to get a hold on the latch. Praying silently to hope that someone hadn't locked the door on the outside, she lifted the thing away. Squinting, light began to stream in as she could soon see a sky up above her head. Climbing out, she took a deep breath as she stared at the sails up above her. It was a marvelous site to behold to someone like her. She had seen the docked ships ever since she was a child and now she was on one out on the sea. She couldn't help but have that little spark of child-like wonder inside of her. She began to speed up her pace, from a trot and into a canter as she made her way below the mast. Tightly tied ropes hung from the bottom as the sails moved with the wind. She paced around them, studying the ropes carefully as an idea seemed to pop into her head. Almost without thinking, she began to fiddle around with the ropes, trying to untie them from their tightly woven positions. What did they do, what was their purpose? She tugged at it as one of the ropes began to come loose. Out of the corner of her eye she could see a figure. She simply shrugged it off, they were probably not coming anywhere near her as far as she was concerned.

Captain C E T O of The Huntress
......
The mare stood by the edge of her ship, leaning over the rail with a shoulder rested easily against the red wood. She watched as the waves leapt at the sides, ocean spray dancing across her freckled face. On her shoulder, sat her cheeky little Lemur, Bijou. He chattered in her ear as he clung to her finned mane, bright orange eyes watching the dance of the waves with his captain. All Ceto could think about were the two kirins who had appeared in the tavern, and the death-like stare she had received from her sworn enemy, as if she were the untrustworthy one. Her tentacles flicked with irritation behind her, her long tail doing the same.
"This is insanity, Bijou." She whispered, her gaze flicking the the young monkey. His eyes lit up as she spoke to him, his chattering becoming louder as he jumped off her shoulder and stood on her back, still holding on to the end of her fins as he glanced over the dock.
Ceto rolled her eyes and turned back to the sea, closing her eyes for a second as she took in a deep breath of the salty sea air.
It was then that Bijou started jumping up and down on her back, smacking his hands against her withers. His chattering sounded more like screams, piercing her ears as he called away. Ceto's ears flicked back, irritation crossing her features as she swung her head around to scold her obnoxious familiar. As she turned, however, she saw what he was on about- he was trying to warn her about a certain little stowaway.
The captain's eyes narrowed as she watched the other equine fumble around the ship, her ears flicking to the side as she recognized the figure- the mare from the bar who had tried to steal from their fellow pirates.
Oh hell no, Ceto spat in her head, her shoulder fins ruffling with irritation. She stalked toward the stranger, her telekinetic grip tight around the hilt of her sword. She watched as the other played with swinging ropes, her eyes tilting up to make sure they werent attached to anything important. At the end of the ropes were just another sail; one that would barely throw them off track.
Pulling her sword from her side, Ceto swung it from behind the stranger, purposefully missing to have it slice through the rope she had been trying to untie. The rope fell to the floor with a thud. Without waiting a beat, Bijou hopped from the mare's shoulders to scoop up the rope and pull it across the deck as if it were a toy
"Aye, I dont remember allowing you on me ship" She hissed, ears back as she ignored her rather immature pet.
