Plot: The Last Card Setting: A young harrower has set up his area on the bust streets of the marketplace in Inaria. The streets seem to be a bit bare as of late, as it is mid afternoon and the hustle and bustle of the afternoon rush has ceased. Time for entertainers to take the streets once more, nothing pleases all equine more then a lunch and a show. Rolplayers: TreeBranch & DreamLark
Farsight || Harrower || Stallion
Farsight was quite content with life today, his belly full with fresh fruit from some vendors pieces of fruit drizzled in this sickly sweet syrup. It was enough to make him quiver with delight. He was always a fan of fresh fruit and that fact it had some sugary liquid on it, well that just made it all better. With a happy belly and feeling ever so confident, Farsight returned to his little place within the market street. A small stall that he soon wished to update into a nice little gypsy caravan. Oh how he dreamed of such things, fine silks inside and to sell potions and wares. The true gypsy life.
With a shake of his head he knew he must begin if he ever wanted to taste those sweet once more. He survived merely by what others gave to him. He was thankful to have a gig where he got paid up front so that at least he knew he would be getting something, unlike the singers and those that play music. They must constantly wow them to get a good tip otherwise they too could be going home empty handed. Farsight dusted off his stall area and with a firm nod of his head his hand painted cards began to float above him. The cards began to shuffle with delight and clearing his voice, he called out to the cards.
"Surely you have wondered what fate has in store for you? What if I could tell you, that I could let you in on what was going to happen! What would you change if knew something dire might happen that you could prevent it? Or perhaps an old lover shows their face to you, wouldn't you feel better knowing ahead of time? My cards of they could tell you so much and more. They know where you have been and can tell you where your going. If you don't believe me so be it, they are only cards after all."

With most of his duties having been completed, the Sage had decided it was high time he left the palace. He needed to stretch his legs, and be amongst the people. Perhaps he would be able to learn some new information, hear what the others were saying about the current state of things, or simply find a new marvel at the marketplace. With a small sigh of contentment, Rycaron stopped for a moment, viewing the rather empty market before him. He had arrived at an off time, which wasn't a bad thing in the least. While he might learn less, at least he wouldn't be bothered as much, either.
Aqua gaze surveyed the stalls and tents that were set up in neat rows, some just beginning to be set up, to ready for the entertainers presenting that night. One in particular caught his attention, and he remembered hearing rumors about a pegasus who could tell the future with cards. It sounded like a load of rubbish...but he was quite curious. And as he currently had nothing better to do, the finned equine started off in the direction of said stall.
"I would like to see what this card reading business is all about," Rycaron announced, smooth voice ringing out as he reached several horse lengths of the stall. He peered at everything about it, then studied it's occupant for a moment longer. And odd looking, feminine pegasus, with quite the coloring of pink hues. What bird did he take after? Not that it mattered, really. He was more interested in the claims that these cards could give him a glimpse of the future, some information he didn't already have, that could alter the course of his plans. Now that would truly be something...but was it real, or did this entertainer simply make it up to make a living?

Farsight || Harrower || Talori
Eyes looked to the stallion that approached, but it was just every run of the mill equine, it was Rycaron the sage of Talori. To say he wasn't intimidated would be a full on lie, every part of him felt as if his skin was tingling, the desire to scratch everywhere grew, but he merely swallowed and offered a smile. "Rycaron, such a pleasure to have you visit me. So interested in the future I assume? Or more curious of a future love?" he raised a brow curiously as he looked to him. A charming smile growing on his lips, he would wow Rycaron that was for sure, Now he only hoped the cards would agree. This telling, this harrowing would either make it or break it for me, but he refused to let Rycaron walk away believing it was nothing but a trick.
Farsight floated the cards back down before Rycaron, they shuffled once more. The Pegasi placed all the cards with their back showing, it was clear to see each card was hand painted and kept looking brand new despite the actual age of the cards, Farsight assumed these card were old enough to be his great grandfather. None the less it was his time to shine, his time to impress the world with a skill he had. "Well once you have decided what you are more interested in finding out, please show me what three cards you want to pick. I always ask go with your gut and your first choice is the only choice. Once you have picked and we have began, there is no going back." Farsight chuckled offering a smile. Let's the harrowing being. Farsight mentally made a small prayer to the gods, please do not this turn out terribly, please for the love of them all do not let this harrowing shame him into a new career choice. Gods have mercy

"I have no interest in a future love, or past for that matter," the Sage replied easily, tone smooth and in no way meant to offend. "However, I am curious about the rumors I have heard about the cards being able to tell something about the future. That does intrigue me quite a bit." Aqua eyes followed the trail of the cards as they floated to the table and were shuffled, then splayed out. Nose lowered so that he could peer more closely at them, and he had to admit that each was quite detailed, and appeared hand crafted. Some skill had gone into the making of them. The pegasi's, perhaps?
"What exact type of information can these cars reveal?" Rycaron inquired, studying the array before him. After a moment, he gently nudged three cards with his nose, in quick succession. Two from one side, one from the other. "I choose these," he needlessly announced, a sort of anticipation building inside him. He kept his body posturing neutral, as well as his voice. The hippocampus would do his utmost to make sure the entertainer would have nothing to go off of for this reading but the cards and his general knowledge of the Sage. Just in case this was a sham, after all. He had heard those sorts of rumors as well.

He couldn't help. but smile at the Sage's question on what the cards could reveal. " Honestly, they can show anything, and everything. It all depends on the equine, the placement of the stars. All of it." he smiled brightly as he looked to the cards the Sage had picked out. This was his moment of truth, please cards don't let him down now. He let out a soft sigh trying his hardest to relax his nerves, oh how he felt jittery and giddy, this could be the end or the beginning for him, but oh if he impressed the Sage, that would truly be a good day for him. He would of course have to do something in memory of such an occasion, but let's not get to far ahead of ones self. It was now or never, and so the fleabitten pegasi turned over the first card the Sage had chosen. "The Dance." Brow arose as he looked down to his own hand painted card as it shows an equine on an icy lake, holding a position like that of an elegant swan, fine cracks could be seen in the frozen lake. His gaze looked back up at the Sage curious on what his expression might be, wondering if he would instantly think this some trick to make him look foolish. "Well well well Sage." he chuckled a bit and looked to him. " It seems we are a bit of the same it seems." Farsight of course meant that in no ways a slap in the face, but he wanted his words to roll into the Sage's mind for a second. How could a hippocampus and a pegasi have anything in common? " We have each chosen a path were words are valuable, unable to take them back. Just like a horse treading on a frozen lake, each word must be said with purpose and be said carefully. For one wrong word could of course mean disaster." Farsight looked at the card on how it was a bit turned a bit, misaligned, but of course. "Though you have chosen a path of using words for the greater good, you know your place, where you stand. You have never doubted yourself in that aspect. Yet." he paused for a moment and eyeing the Sage a bit, as if reading things only he could see. " There will be a time when too many voices will be heard and known and it was then you will see how a slip of the wrong word can do. How cities can crumble and collapse. How words can do nothing to satisfy the bellies of the hungry and accused" Farsight resettled his wings to his side and looked to the sage, wondering if he had anything to through his way. What clever words the Sage must know to keep everything tucked neatly under the rug. Eyes watched him. "If you want we can end this all, or we can continue, though please know once we go to the second card there is of course no backing out." he chuckled a bit. He didnt mean to use this as a scare tactic, but it was true, the first card was the build up, the second card was the moment of the truth, and the last card well, the last card was of course the wild card. One brow rose skeptically at the pegasus before him, but the hippocampus said nothing. Instead, he peered down at the cards as Farsight turned over the first one chosen. A figure arched on an icy lakes, cracks rippling through the hardened liquid's surface. Brows rose once more, more so at the comment the other made about being the same, as Rycaron lifted eyes to study the pegasus, waiting for him to continue the thought, curious to see how this pegasus viewed their standing with each other.
Tail flicked gently, and finned face dipped in the briefest of acknowledging nods. "This is true, I would agree. Words can be fickle, and never unheard once spoken. We must all take care to think before speaking," Rycaron replied, however he couldn't deny he was faintly unsettled by that last part. He knew full well how a slip of words could bring misunderstanding, shame, hurt. That was nothing new. However this talk about cities crumbling, Aquore rusting...that he did not want to hear. Was this Farsight hinting at something? Did he have a touch of Clairvoyance as his name suggested? If so, he'd best take care, for the Sage didn't like such portents as doom to his beloved home.
Mind whirled, but expression never changed. "There is already no backing out," the hippocampus replied easily, voice smooth. "Please continue, I wish to see what you say next."
