ADONIS The day had been too long.
Idris had gone out with Noatak to spend time with each other, leaving Adonis by himself in his home. Yeshua was out somewhere too, probably consulting with the other Councilors and the Sultan. Donny let out a heavy sigh, feeling the familiar heavy weight of his guilty conscious settle on his shoulders. It was easy to hide behind a smile whenever others were around, but it was hard to keep up the facade when there was no one to distract him.
Adhara's death still haunted him. He didn't allow Idris to blame themselves for her death, in fact he didn't allow anyone to blame themselves for what happened. No, that was only for him.
He hated being so mopey and drowning in self-pity, but he just didn't have enough energy to pull himself out of this. The medic recalled this exact situation from years past, but this time he was truly alone at the moment.
He let out another weary sigh, turning towards his bed and hoping to just sleep for the rest of the day. Words: 182 Post #1

Helene
Perhaps it was restless feet or a restless mind that brought Helene to the front door of Idris’s current home. The house actually belonged to Adonis and Yeshua, the medicine horse and councilor that had taken her little sibling under their wings. Both literally and figuratively. Helene stifled a small laugh at the pun in her thoughts. What had brought her out to the house was the desire to speak with her little brother, to bond with them. Though the mare wondered if she was being too clingy with the young colt. She knew she had a penchant for being overprotective of Idris, and didn’t want to coddle the young horse, but she couldn’t help it. Helene still saw them as that young horse that hid behind her whenever things got tough with the local bullies in their caravan. “I’m here though…I might as well see if anyone’s home at least. Don’t want to make this trip for nothing.” The dappled mare muttered under her breath, shifting awkwardly in place. It wasn’t like Idris would turn be rude her away if she asked to hang out with him for the day. If he did wish to be alone though, Helene would gladly leave her little sibling alone, letting him have space to breath. Besides, maybe visiting would give her to the chance to speak with Idris’s new guardians. She hadn’t seen neither Adonis or Yeshua since Idris’s Rising Wind Ceremony. Though she trusted the both of them with her brother’s life she was always curious as to what exactly they were like. Helene had never talked to them, only seen Adonis at least twice and Yeshua she’d only heard of through small talk around other family groups they’d met up with out in the desert of Sedo. Perhaps she would finally get a chance to get to know them like she wanted to. At the very least Helene wanted to thank Adonis for taking in Idris and teaching them the ways of the medicine horse. Feeling more reassured about her decision to visit the house, Helene gave the front door a soft tap with her front hoof.
