Who pulls the strings of fate? Is it the gods, gently twisting and changing the weave, putting you exactly where you need to be? If that is so, are they too to blame for your suffering?
Difficult questions all. Many could claim the gods had no such direct interest, but the wanderers... they know. For they, the coincidences of the world are all too unlikely. To bring them together time and again, it could not be idle chance. There was something there. Something that needed them to bear witness to both the rotten and wonderful events of Hireath. To guess at such a force would give no answers, but the force need not be recognized to impact nonetheless.
So what would it be now?
Suffering? Would another of their number perish to this unshakable pull of fate?
Or would this world show them brief kindness? Give them an experience few others could claim?
They would know before the night was through.
Here in the wilds of Sirith, the crossroads bring travelers and bards together, for better or worse.

Rynn Unicorn Mom
|||
It seemed as if Rynn would never leave Onea. For months she had been trapped within the snowy wasteland that was the Northern Herd's home. Dodge raiders here, avoid that herder there, it was all fine and dandy until you added in the fact that the woods crawled with cultists ever bloodlusting. That and the bears, she ran into those as well it would have seemed. However, now, now she was finally on Sirith and just a tad closer to home. Sedo, the ever glorious desert on which Alya beat her wings, ever powerful (the very object of Rynn's affections).
"My lady, Angel, I'm ready to join you, it would seem." Rynn said softly, having associated her misfortunes of the past months to the mere fact that Alya only wished for her to leave behind the mortal world to become her servant in the stars. A fantasy Rynn was quite interested in, though she would not throw herself into death willingly.
Grass swept at her legs and thin trees surrounded her. The air in Sirith seemed fresher than Onean air, but perhaps, her hatred of the snowy realm was seeping through and clouding her judgement. Birds twittered overhead, and the soft thump of her hoofsteps was all too familiar and welcomed; consequently, though, she was tiring. Having cantered, jogged, trotted, and walked all the way from some backroad around Skeldr to this place in Northern Sirith. The Skytop Forest was in enough of her own little tales that she felt familiar enough to find a resting place, and she knew just the spot. It was a crossroads, perhaps three often taken trails led to it, and it was well covered with soft grass (though, mind you, roots were always a bother in the forest). There, Rynn, would find she was inclined to stop.
And stop she did. At this simple crossroad she found a nook in one of the larger trees, settling on a bed of moss and grass and resting her head on a root. She kept a firm lookout on all around her, though, she thought, if anyone did happen upon her she didn't feel too inclined to run. Perhaps, they would like to chat with her.
It seemed as if she would get her wish, that is... until she recognized the first approaching figure and with a groan she exclaimed, "Alya above! Again?! What could it possibly be this time?" Surely it was a sign, once more something was going to be thrown at the poor unicorn, and she wasn't too sure if she was ready to handle it.

Seeker | Vagabond | Wanderer
--------------------
"The only real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes." - Marcel Proust
Seeker couldn't help but cock her head to the side as she heard the cry as she approached the crossroad.
"Alya above! Again?! What could it possibly be this time?"
Again? And... wait, that voice was familiar. Squinting at the surrounding trees she found the form of Rynn lying in the arms of a tree, seemingly resting. The speckled mare couldn't help the sigh that she let escape. She too felt something stirring. Every time they had found themselves in the company of this Rynn and others bad things seemed to occurred. She could not help turning around and looking to see if any of the others were about.
"Rynn? What are you doing here?"
She closed the distance and looked at the unicorn and asked the age old, stupid question when happening on someone unexpected. What was Rynn doing here? With that same train of thought, what was Seeker doing here? Well that was easy. She was seeking, like her name implied. Seeking new lands, new sights and new experiences. The mare shivered however as her thoughts came back to the nights she had been with Rynn. Both having left some definite scars within the mare. Again, another glance assured the mare that none of the others that seemed to show the foreboding seemed to be around. At the least no just yet. Looking back to the unicorn she turned her head, wondering why the mare was laying here.
"Are you okay?"

Voices, haunting. He'd escaped the pyres of New Valore without having experienced the feel of flame to his flesh, that vile, agonizing tongue. Many moons had passed since those fateful events, and in only a fraction of that time The Shade had decided he'd cross Eithne's borders again only under duress. He sought now the comforts of a wild place, full of green foliage and red blood and devoid of any voices. Voices. They were close. He hadn't heard another's voice since the last shouts of the Aodhian slave traders reached his ears all that long time ago, and the sound was by now so foreign to him that he thought at first he must be dreaming. No, he thought, correcting that mistake with a slow, precise bite to his right forearm, just above the knee. It hurt, and it drew blood, and he was lucid for all of it. Not dreaming. Hearing. The Shade moved through the trees with quiet determination, looking for the source of the sound. He found it: a pair of mares to his left, some distance away. He kept to the foliage, and did not approach them. Instead, The Shade watched. words: 196 tags: posy-punch, Chipo-H0P3, gone-astrayy, moonlightwalk, MapleEgg (did i get everyone??) notes: sorry this is late, and so short! already facing a bit of a time crunch, sorry mates T_T

Lilliana | Bard
What had been Lilliana's safe haven had been drenched in flames, Nariah still a mess as they spoke. Though she had stayed, singing her songs to live up the spirits of those horses that worked to rebuild what was destroyed of the city. But it had become hard. The breaths she took down in those tunnels, they had started to feel like ash in her longs as if the fires still burned and she was breathing there smoke. She had hidden of course, when the Aodhians first arrived. She had left Sedo's territory to get away from being shipped of to them in the first place. And then she heard of the fires, her heart had broken for the horses of Breim. So much loss, so much destruction. Seeing the pain in the horses eyes had taken it's toll on the mare and after nearly three months, her heart screamed out to her to get away from it all. She had gone and ushered Sirius towards Sterling and then even further, out onto the plains. There she could breath again, the air clear though the air in the tunnels had been fine to begin with. Yet somehow the grass and the wind and the wide-open sky made her able to breath deeper than before.
It seemed that she and Sirius were not the only ones out here though as she noticed other equines nearby. Having been thinking she had seen them too late, they would already have seen her. With no caravan nearby for protection, she called Sirius closer back to her. She hoped they were friends and not enemies as she continued her slow walk.

Persephone | Bard The winds pushed and pulled many currents in sky, and if you let them, sometimes they would lead you exactly where you needed to be. Today seemed to be one of those days. Having only recently been able to fly again after her rather unfortunate injuries in Onea, Persephone found herself in high spirits as she glided through the air. Tiny, protesting squeaks coming from her neck told her though, that Koda was not nearly as happy as she was.
"It's okay Koda, I won't stay up here for too much longer. I believe I'll be landing soon." her light airy voice traveled back to her companion, a pallid bat. She had found him not long after the incident with the bears, the poor bat was in as bad a shape as she was. He had apparently been attacked by an owl but had managed to hide himself before the owl made a snack of him. Since then, the poor bat seemed hesitant to fly or even really come out from under her mane.
The mare's pale eyes turned to the forest, her heart squeezing slightly at the sight. It was there that she was born, there that she lost her father. And it seemed the wind was telling her that it was to the forest that she return to. With a gentle few beats of her wings, Persephone glided down onto the mossy forest floor, fanning out her wings slightly to readjust her feathers before folding them in against her body. It was then that she heard voices, familiar ones at that. Koda, too, seemed to hear them, because his insistent squeaks started up once more, anxious to be around anyone else. With her velvety muzzle, she craned her head back and nuzzled Koda, calming him down, while she hummed a quiet song to him. Once she was assured that he had calmed down, Persephone looked around, lightly trotting to where the voices were coming from.
"It would seem the Gods' have entwined our paths once again." her voice was steady and calm as she neared the two mares. "Hello Rynn and Seeker." They looked much the same as she had last seen them, though three months was not a long time for a change she supposed. She herself though, had changed slightly. In place of the wounds she had received from the enraged bears, her fur had grown in the color of her spots, a start contrast to the creamy fur that covered where she had been hurt. Not that she had minded. Persephone rather thought of them as proof that she was alive.

Rynn Unicorn Mom
|||
"Specifically what am I doing here?" The unicorn mare grinned, her blue and green eyes dazzling with the looming action she could take, a wondrous tale, but she chose something slightly more truthful. "I do believe I was planning to go back up North the Skeldr, but I could feel my Lady calling to me. I'm on my way back to the southern desert and ever eager to see what my Lady has planned for me." She cocked her head. "I do ever hope it is some handsome job I can perform for her will." To any that hadn't heard Rynn's ramblings before, they would certainly think her slightly soft in the head by now, ever devout to her Lord.
"I'm doing as well as Alya sees to grace me; merely resting for my journey ahead." Rynn said answering Seeker's second question, dipping her head in soft greeting. She was not opposed to the traveler that approached her now, though it seemed as if Seeker and she always happened to find bad luck when along together. However, she wasn't particularly uneasy, only... intrigued. Threes were important numbers, strong numbers. After all, they always did say that the third time was the charm.
It wasn't even the appearance of the new mare, strolling cautiously towards the couplet, her animal along with her. Rynn raised her head in polite greeting before speaking, "Ho, wanderer. It would seem as if the Gods have put us together. A quest for my Lady perhaps." Rynn sighed and rested her head again, thoughts again returning to Alya. Perhaps... perhaps she was not to return to the desert quite yet, perhaps Alya was leading her here for this. "My name is Rynn, traveler and Bard." She smiled at the approaching Lilliana.
What finally unnerved her was the appearance of the second familiar face. "Persephone, it is of the highest honor to once again cross destiny with you." She said softly, almost reverently as she noticed the approaching pegasus. The mare was as beautiful as ever, and even now Rynn could not tear her gaze from the gorgeous sleek wings Alya had blessed the vagabond with. It had been a most unfortunate circumstance to watch Persephone bleed, but thankfully the bears had been fought off and her Lord's child had been saved.
Something was off. Rynn scanned the forest. Searching in the sparse foliage, looking for anything amiss. Yet, she found nothing, and if anything was out there... they were the threat. She, having been so welcoming, could not possibly be attacked out of self-defense. However, she did not take well to being spied upon. She tuned out of the conversation of the other mares, if only but for a few minutes to mutter once again, "Threes, sacred numbers, fated numbers." Before repeating it and then turning her attention back to those present.
"Alya has surely brought us together once again, I do so hope it is not to kill us, though." She said everything with such stellar calm that it was a wonder. Only Rynn could talk about death as if it were a brief nap. She had things to look forward to, after all. Again, she tuned out conversation to begin mumbling a soft prayer, letting her eyes flutter shut as she continued resting against the soft roots of the tree.
My Lady, My Lords, what is it that you have brought us to witness today?

ALL I WANNA DO IS TRADE THIS LIFE FOR SOMETHING NEW HOLDING ON TO WHAT I HAVEN'T GOT
As fate seemed to pan out that evening at the crossroads, Rynn's feelings of uneasiness proved true. Quickly and without warning, the wind began to blow heavier than the light breeze it had been moments before, and it came with the strong presence of static, dancing in a whirlwind around the Vagabonds. Abruptly, the wind came to a complete stop, yet the static remained, and the crackling of the energy only grew louder.
And then, the forest went white, as if Ignacio had placed the sun right on their path; the light was blinding, and it came with a monstrous clap of thunder, surely to be heard a hundred miles away.
The phenomena was short, yet the blindness lingered, as did the ear ringing. But when it finally settled, a stallion with peridot scales and magnificent elk antlers lay at the hooves of the unicorn Bard, the dirt surrounding him now ashen. With a snort he blinked his green eyes open, and rather quickly, confusion swept over him - his first feeling in a millennium. He had never seen these lands before, nor had he smelled this air before, and he certainly had never seen these equines before.
"Eulalia," he muttered, calling for his mate. Oh, how he missed the way her name rolled off his ancient tongue. But she was not there. She would never be there again, and in his first moments he forgot that. He turned to look at the hooves he laid before, and he moved his gaze up at the mare whom they belonged to. A unicorn. "No," he grumbled, and immediately, though with a struggle, he found himself to his feet and shuffled backward, neck arched and antlers aimed at the mare, prepared to defend himself should he need. But his defensive stance quickly came to an end when he backed right into another mare, a flaxen appaloosa. He startled and swung around to face her, but his legs were still like jelly after centuries without use, and it wasn't long before he took a misstep and fell flat on his arse. Eyes squeezed shut and ears pinned flat, the kirin's head hanged low and he muttered to himself once more: "Why?"

Fate this day brings not horror, but magic instead. Those who wander are witness to history, both told and retold. A kirin, a creature of legend, appears before them now, lost as a newborn foal. It is up to they whether they will guide him, control him, or abandon him. Whatever path they take, the ripples in the water of time will travel far.

Lilliana | Bard
Lilliana kept close watch, eyes trying to make out what was ahead of her. Sirius winnied, recognizing one of the mare's before his mother did. "Persephone!" Lilly raised her head and a smile appeared on her face. It was the winged bard indeed. She was about to great the mare when the other one approached, her mouth a waterfall of words. Though Lilliana felt a little out of the loop -who was 'my Lady'- she was intrigued by the way words slid from between the unicorn mare's lips. Dipping her head politely -a habit she had picked up in Breim- she introduced herself in kind. "My name is Lilliana, I travel as Bard as well. This here is Sirius. Pleased to meet you, Rynn." She nodded toward the young colt who was instead of waiting, already off to go great the arriving Persephone. As Rynn turned her attention towards the new arrival as well, Lilliana simply offered a smile in greeting. As Sirius and Rynn did their share of talking.
Her attention returned to the unicorn mare once more, the bard speaking off Alya. Lilliana's eyes twinkeled, hoping it was true. A purpose by the gods. How exciting it would be. Ah. Yes, to kill sounded less alluring indeed. She looked over to Sirius in alarm as the wind seemed to kick up at the suggestion. "Sirius, come h-" She tried to call the colt towards her once more, his little legs already working as he too was alarmed by the situation. Before she could even finish however, the wind came to a complete stop. She stilled, Sirius stilled and then a flash of light blinded all. Sound of which she did not know the origins, though she suspected the skies themselves, had her ears still ringing as her eyes regained their ability to see. The red mare stumbled towards her foal, the trembling body pressing securely between her legs as Lilliana began to hum, calming down herself. She hummed a calming song, wordless but the melody familiar to Sirius' ears. It was melody meant for soothing when either colt or mare were in pain or scared.
Her eyes fell on the body, the body that had not been there before. Green scales caught her eye, followed by antlers on their head and Lilly fell quiet as she let out a breath. She trembled, for a minute believing she was dreaming. Was she imagining? Had she finally become unable to tell the difference between reality and fantasy? But then it, no they, moved. She saw their confusing, fear perhaps?
"Magic," she said, her voice clear, eyes twinkling again. "Magic." She moved around the creature, a kirin was it? A being of legend. She kept her distance, trying to lower her head, showing herself to be harmless because they seemed defensive off their presence. "Are you okay?" she asked, question aimed as much at the kirin as the other horses around her.

Process. Process.Skulking in the shadows, The Shade wanted nothing to do with these strangers, and cursed his luck to have wandered across their happenstance meeting -- but the gods don't like to see backs when they preferred faces, and it was as he turned his to the mares in the clearing that The Shade thought he'd been killed. He yelled at the top of his lungs (a force he hadn't used in quite some time) a very nasty word (a sentiment he hadn't expressed for an even longer interval). The thunderclap deafened him, the lightning blinded him, and for a moment the stallion stood on splayed hooves as the world spun around him like the horizon from the rail of a ship in a storm. A shrill note in his ears precluded all other sound from reaching him, and he felt a wetness trickling down the inside of his nose. It was blood, but he didn't know that until the coppery scent of it flooded his airways, and he wouldn't know the cause of it at all. Was it some sort of odd complication from his trials in Eithne? Was it his old heart pumping too quickly at the shock of the tempest? Was it the touch of an angry god, a reminder of his insignificance? Staggered, the black stallion turned to look for the source of the blast, to look for -- for what, for survivors? It had been a lightning strike, sure, but the sky was clear. Had it struck a mare? Did one of those strangers bear a curse by which he'd now been defiled? Slowly he made his way back towards the group of mares he'd intended to avoid, and slowly his eyes found purchase on the scorched earth, and very quickly he found that he did not much care whether his existence was made known to these people or not. " Fuck," he said again, although this time much more quietly. He was staring at the One Who Should Not Exist lying just there, just so, in defiance of all common sense and science, and the expression on the black stallion's face was an odd medley of shock, astonishment, disgust, and... betrayal. And he dropped to his knees and put his bloodied head on the ground and he fucking prayed.words: 383 tags: posy-punch , Chipo-H0P3 , gone-astrayy , moonlightwalk , MapleEgg , dayzea notes: welp, i guess he's converted

Seeker | Vagabond | Wanderer
--------------------
"The only real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes." - Marcel Proust
Seeker screeched at the sudden flash of light that left her senses roiling before she could greet her other acquaintance, Persephone, and two others that had come out to greet her it seemed. She couldn't see now and as she squeezed her eyes shut she felt something touch her. Jumpy from all the times the land brought hardship to the mare she swung away from whatever had brushed her. Hearing a soft voice filled with pain changed her thought process with a snap.
"Why?"
Why....? Something here to harm her would not ask questions with such feeling and now it seemed another voice joined this one in pain behind them. Opening her eyes slightly she could see some of her vision was back already. She eyed the group to her side now and tried to look around and that's when she caught sight of a big black stallion who then quickly fell to the ground in a praying position. What on earth was going on here now! Seeker screamed in her mind as she looked back to the two she had known and took in the new figures. Confusion made her mind shake and she found herself wondering if Shiann was okay although she had parted from Seeker a ways back.
A youngster and mare that seemed to be known by Persephone. Something else however was before them and although Seeker knew she should be awed, all she felt was intrigue. The poor beast seemed lost and was unable to stand. That must have been what caused such sudden commotion and even what had bumped into her. Shaking her mane out as more of her vision came back from the blinding light she looked back to the prone dark stallion. He too seemed of no danger and using her noteworthy voice she called out to the dark stranger before turning back to the Kirin.
"Come here further so we can see you, Stallion!" Waiting for a moment she adjusted herself to look at the figure with its head low. The mother mare had spoken to it, or to everyone but it seemed to give no response. Gingerly closing the distance to the mythical figure she lightly let herself kneel on her front legs so that her golden hair fell around her face and she tried to look at the Kirin's face with her bi-colored eyes. Glancing up at the mare Lilliana and back to the Kirin she tried to catch the forlorn one's attention. "Dear one, what has happened?"

Shiann wandered the forest alone, a nostalgic feeling pitted in her stomach.
After three traumatic near death experiences, the young mare decided it was time to turn back on her soul searching journey. No matter how much it pained her to admit it, her Mother was right. The world wasn't what Shiann had expected it to be. One year on her own and what did she have to show for it? A lame leg, a fear of bears, and unrelenting nightmares of shadowy cultists hunting her in the snow. She was in over her head. It was time to go home. She was ready bite her pride face up to all the "I told you so"'s, to return to the safety of her family.
And after weeks if strenuous traveling she finally found it, the humble cottage of her vagabond family sheltered in the shade of the Skytop canopy, but to her devastation, she found it to be abandoned. Where were her parents? It wasn't out of character for them to on small trips but the place looked like it hadn't been lived in for months. Something had happened. Maybe something with the vindicators. Gods, she hoped that was it. The thought of her father's assignment taking them elsewhere was far better than the possibility of cultists or slave traders which was just as likely. But what ever the cause, the reality was, her parents were gone and Shiann was still on her own.
She sat for hours in her empty childhood home trying to make sense of the situation, trying to come up with a new plan, trying to stop her crying. In the end she did what she did best and ran away. If she kept moving she wouldn't have to think about it. Maybe she could meet up with Seeker again. Her dear friend couldn't be too far. She had been gracious enough to accompany Shiann for most of her journey and the two had split up only a day ago. But should she really be running back to the other mare? It seemed to her, Shiann only brought bad luck to those she traveled with. Her bad leg made her a reliability, and that was something she knew most vagabonds got tired of quickly.
So there she was running through the brush of the forest, trying to contemplate her next move, while being both comforted and sickened by the familiar smell of salt air mixed with ancient oak and moss, when suddenly a blinding white light and thunderous crack of energy knocked her off her path and into an overgrown bush.
"WHAT THE FUCK??" Shiann struggled to find her footing in the entanglement of branches and leaves. The fact that she couldn't see or hear anything didn't help much either, but eventually she was able to blink the spots away and sound returned to her ears.
The first thing she heard were voices, and one she knew all to well. "Come here further so we can see you, Stallion!" Clear as a bell, it was Seeker. But who was the stallion? Was he a danger? Carefully, as to not cause as many scrapes as possible, Shiann freed herself from the wild foliage and ran towards the the voices to make her frantic and rather awkward entrance.
"SEEKER! Seeker what's going on-OH MY GODS." Among the group of gathered equine, Shiann discovered the familiar face of not only Seeker, but Rynn and Persephone too, However, that was not the source of her bewilderment. No, the source of her bewilderment was the stallion that they surrounded. The one with shimmering green antlers and scales.
"a-a kirin." She whispered, breathless.

Lilliana | Bard
Everyone seemed thouroughly shaken by the event, another presence even making themselves known. Lilliana payed little attention to them, too caught up in her marvel at the quite sudden, quite magical appearance of the legendary equine before her. Of course she knew stories. She had sung songs about them. Described them in as vivid detail one could when they hadn't been seen for many lifetimes. More often than not, they were predicted as beasts, monsters. If she had to believe what the tales said, they'd be right to be cowering in fear. But Lilly would not be Lilly if she gave another not the benefit of the doubt. She always sought to see the better side in others and now she saw nothing but a fellow equine, lost, confused and maybe hurt. She needed to help them. "Are you okay?" she repeated, voice soft and soothing as Persephone's friend bowed in front of the creature.
Now the shock of the blast was gone, a smaller figure slipped out from in between Lilliana's legs vefore she had a chance to protest. Won over by his mother's gentle voice and the other mare's lack of fear in approaching, Sirius darted over to the Kirin, eyes wide with curiousity. "Hey, Hey, you got deer things on your head, how's that? And how did you come here?" His nose touched one of the spikes on the creatures back. "Ooooh, spikey." Lilliana felt slightly -okay, maybe a little more than slightly- worried about the rashness of the foal, but let him be. Young ought to run free after all. That didn't mean she couldn't move a little closer though, wanting to keep an eye on both the kirin and her son as the two interacted. She hoped it would be a pleasant interaction rather than... Well, a not so pleasant one. "Sirius, be more polite to... our... guest?"

Rynn Unicorn Mom
|||
When the deafening sound sent the other mares gathered skittering, at least to an extent, Rynn merely closed her eyes. Once everything seemed to settle she blew out one awfully long sigh. Then she opened her eyes and looked interestedly at the kirin curled on the ground. Though, he did not stay there long, quickly finding his feet and lowering his antlers at them all. Rynn's mind flittered for a moment, perhaps this was her end. So, she stayed quiet until the kirin opened his mouth and uttered a simple "Why?"
"Perhaps, atonement? Mortals are, after all, always meant to serve the Gods. We do not make virtuous choices all the time." Rynn said, her blue and green eyes finding the kirin's. "Is there a place for you? Must we deliver you safely? Do we merely travel with you, offering knowledge of the times?" Rynn cocked her head, voice curious, but quiet. And then, then a shape blurred out and once again horses were talking and there was a newcomer praying on the ground, and Shiann was bursting from along the road and standing awestruck.
And, to be perfectly honest to herself, Rynn was not surprised anymore. She whispered another sweet prayer to Alya, and then a short one to Ignacio as well, knowing that kirins were his image. She then turned her muzzle back to the group, eyes welcoming all around her.
"Everyone settle, surely all the questions will hurt our dear visitor. I know that my own ears are still ringing, imagine being in the midst of such an explosive sound." Rynn smiled softly. She reached out softly with her telekinesis, tapping at the withers of the dark coated stallion, offering him the time to lapse from prayer to learn about this godly creature.
"Have you a name, Son of the Flame?" Rynn said softly, looking at the kirin before her, posture exuding calm and peace. At this point, she could not be surprised by anything.

ALL I WANNA DO IS TRADE THIS LIFE FOR SOMETHING NEW HOLDING ON TO WHAT I HAVEN'T GOT
The shrieking that followed Lazarus' deliverance was potentially more ear-ringing than the thunder in which it preceded. The panic only made him more uneasy. Out of the corner of his eye he captured a black stallion knelt to the ground in prayer. Why here, why now? They would not persist. How did he wind up here? What kind absolute witchcraft happened and why did its practitioner choose him? He did not want to be here, and nor was he wanted.
"Are you okay?" The first of them asked. Lazarus could only wince as he lifted himself back to his feet, head to his knees and reptilian eyes squeezed close as he continued to absorb the situation. He shook his head subtly. Did he look okay?
"Dear one, what has happened?" Came the next. The kirin looked up at the appaloosa mare who questioned him with narrowed eyes and ears pinned flat. A sigh followed suit, burning in his ancient throat. Lazarus gritted his teeth and looked her right in the eye, the setting sun reflecting in his green orbs. His tired voice croaked. "If I had even a single idea..." he craned his neck and looked back toward the black stallion, still desperately praying with his knees in the dirt. "I would tell you." He then turned to the young dappled grey mare, and shook his head with a snort. Lazarus' knees then began to shake, and he felt himself beginning to crumble, but he refused to lay down and seem week, so he elected to lean on the nearest tree.
Just then, a small colt approached him and began asking him obscene questions. His blonde brows raised at the youngling, and his mood quickly transitioned to a bewildered sort of amused. He gave the colt a crooked grin. "I'm not too sure, lad," he chuckled. "It's some sort of curse." He promptly winced as Sirius pressed his nose to his scales, but he did not retort. There would not be an excuse for these creatures to attack him.
An ear was the first thing to react to the unicorn mare's orders. Honestly, the kirin appreciated her request. He was equally as confused as the others. He gave the mare a gracious bow, feeling more at ease; clearly these individuals were peaceful creatures... or at least most of them were. His eyes darted toward the silent black stallion. His presence was the only remaining thing making him feel disturbed. He returned his attention to the others. "Lazarus," he announced with confidence, granting everyone a moment of eye contact as his peridot antlers reflected the sun's bright dusk rays.

Lilliana | Bard
Lilliana let out a small sigh of relief as the kirin did not display any hostile behavior towards her son, instead answering in what she supossed was a humorous sort of way. She visibly relaxed, previois tension leaving her body. A small 'ooh' escaped her son as the magical creature answered, before remembering his manners at his mother's call and scuffling back to her side. "Sorry, Mister!" He called, immediatly followed by a not so subtle: "Hey, hey, mom, I want to get cursed too!" Lilliana shook her head, smiling. "Be quiet, dear. I think our guest isn't feeling to well." Her eyes traced his body as she noted his name. She marveled again at the myth standing before her. He was magnificent. "Lazarus," she repeated, testing the name in her mouth. She looked over him again, now concerned. He did not know what was going on himself by what she heard and he had let them know he was not fine. "Are you in any pain?" the red mare questioned softly, trying to sound friendly. She had painkiller with her as always and was more than willing to offer it to the stranger. "Please let us know how we can be off help to you.
