Yuki & Hikaru Well, there's two sides, to every situation Yes, there's two sides, two interpretations
Yuki smiled as the bells tolled, allowing the familiar sense of peace she equated with the holy day of silence to wash over her. The wisps would be arriving soon, and as always, she eagerly awaited their return. She planned to pass part of the day with a leisurely stroll through the nearby gardens, something she had already run by Hikaru. Shaking her head softly, she glanced at her brother, thankful that they had been able to discuss their plans ahead of time to avoid any true conflict of interest.
Hikaru huffed softly, noticing his sisters eyes on him. He nodded a bit, as if acknowledging their plans. With years of learned co-operation and coordination under their hooves, the twins got along well enough. While they often didn't see eye to eye, it wasn't enough to keep them from functioning as they needed, though it did often create a sense of rivalry between the two, especially on Hikaru's end.
Yuki always seemed to be the star, the one everyone noticed and encouraged. The one with friends who cared. Hikaru often felt like he was forced into the background, more a shadow of his sister than his own equine. Even still, on days like today, he was able to shove his feelings aside, in hopes that maybe the spirits would speak to him, whispering their secrets and sharing their wisdom. Besides, he could handle a stroll through the park for Yuki's sake if it meant some peace and quiet.
Looking over his shoulder, Hikaru took note of the young colt Yuki had recently adopted. Though initially he had been frustrated with his sister's insistance on taking in the young colt without asking Hikaru's opinion or feelings on the matter, Breidan had quickly grown on him. He smiled at the young pegasus as Yuki turned towards him as well, motioning for the foal to join them.
As they made their way out of the Temple, Yuki looked about at the small crowd still gathered nearby. She silently invited them to join along as well, shooting Hikaru an apologetic grin before heading down the well worn path.
Walking along in the quiet warmth of the day, the priestess couldn't help but feel like something was off. Hikaru felt it as well, glancing at his sister to confirm the shared feeling. He looked towards the small group, wondering if they could feel it too as Yuki motioned for Breidan to stay close. After the events a few months ago, neither horse really knew what to expect...

B R E I D A N "Being brave is all about being scared. You just keep on going despite it." __ __ __ __ Four long, gangly legs carried after the twins, little fuzzy form bobbing up and down almost gracefully. He tailed after his adoptive mother without hesitation, looking rather chipper despite his unusual silence. Breidan was, typically, a talkative and energetic youth, one who liked to express his thoughts in every situation. For once, though, he set that aside for this special day.
His mother Desirae once told him of how the wisps were of spiritual importance. Perhaps, they were the souls of the dead and the lost. Or, they were distant ancestors, wanting to share their tale in gentle whispers. In recent weeks those wisps became more important to him. It had been three months since his mother and aunt had fallen to Aodh's flames, and the child sought desperately to speak with them. Perhaps, he thought, he'd get the chance to hear their voices!
Desirae would be proud of where he was now. It seemed like only a very short time ago that Breidan was finally picked up from the orphanage and taken in by Yuki. And the colt could not have been more amazed and pleased with the fact that his new uncle Hikaru went about wherever she did. Their company only helped to slowly heal the inner wounds left by the flames; but completely sealed, they were not.
Breidan hastily picked up pace, until he was side by side with the twins' forelegs. He hadn't quite sensed that something was off; at least, he hadn't registered it like his adoptive family had. What happened three months before had plagued the colt with a skittishness and anxiety that he never had felt before, and though it rarely showed, it had happened enough for Breidan to assume that he was merely doubting himself, rather than sensing the odd feeling drifting in the air.

Dodger "Don't be scared to walk alone. Don't be scared to like it."
---
The stallion took a deep breath as the bells tolled, a small smile gracing his dark muzzle as the welcome quiet set in across the whole of Sirith. He welcomed the peace the holiday brought to the Herd, as it usually allowed him to focus on his own personal quiet agendas in the comforts of his solitude. The Day of the Wisps and the silence it brought had always been welcome to the spotted thoroughbred cross. Growing up in a family of religious Magi, he was taught to always keep quiet on this day, a task he excelled at while his rambunctious twin siblings had much harder times coping with being silent for the day.
He caught Yuki's motion immediately, and pondered the idea of spending the day in quiet and peaceful solitude. Dodger shook this idea from his head immediately. How rude, he pondered mentally. It was indeed a holiday, and it would not look good upon a horse to ignore an invitation. So, upon the offer of the twins, he silently agreed by following, striped hooves and long legs carrying him towards the front of the band. Heterochrome eyes glanced at the group of equines around him, but Dodger did not make a sound save for his horseshoes on the stone beneath his hooves. His mind wandered far away as he strolled just behind Yuki and Hikaru, pondering what the wisps may say and who they would speak to on this lovely warm day.

Nefertiti | Echo | Breim
The last tree months had felt like an endless eternity to the silvery gold mare. Only recently coming out again into society in the last few weeks, as her grief had kept her locked away from all she knew. Nefertiti had not wanted to speak or know anyone's company in her hard loss, and so had been spending her time packing up her lost loved-ones things around their once lively house.
Even now, in this crowd, she felt utterly alone. The worst of the mourning had passed, but the hollowness inside her never filled.
A husband, the love of her life, and the kindest soul she ever knew.
A daughter, a sweet blessed gift from the gods themselves, and the purest ray of sunshine she had ever seen.
Both gone in the blaze brought on by Aodhs visit.
The tolling of the bells rang out in the land of Sirith, and felt as if they echoed in the chasm in her own chest. Their soothing chimes were one of the few things that still comforted the mare, and the silence seemed to hold its own beauty. Though she wasn't here for the silence, like the many others around her, she was here for the wisps. The promise of perhaps hearing her husbands voice again, or her daughters laugh, was enough to pull the mare here in almost dire need. If not them, she wished to see if she could hear the gods reassurance, that in this world of loss she lived in, there was a purpose. A hope.
As the Priestess and brother made their way down to the path, she followed at their silent beckon. All around her all there was to hear with the soft breaths and hoof-beats on a path long trodden.
Her head was hung low as she walked with the gathering procession, but her eagerness showed in her pace as she found herself walking close to the priestess at the front of the group. Nef didn't pay much mind to it, as a twinkle of unease seemed to crawl up her spine. Head lifting only slightly as her ears now moved around as if to tune in to this strange feeling somehow.

Cecillia | Royal family
The day of the wisps had never been one of Cecillia's favorite holidays. She liked to talk, she liked sounds. The hustling and bustling of horses brought her comfort and made it easier for the filly to navigate. In the quiet that shrouded this sacred day she was forced to keep her ears perked for small indications of who was where, walking ever so slowly. A breath, a click of hoof, it were the small things that guided her. Her urge to talk had to be quelled; A difficult feat for the young royal. Then there was leisure. Cecillia's past time mostly existed of listening to other horses, talking to them and listening as they went about in life. You can imagine that to her, the day of the wisps was utterly boring.
Still she knew it was an important tradition in their herd, so she too had made her way to the temple, having seperated herself from her parents as soon as she had the chance. She thought it was a good time for them to spent together as they had been buzzy with things lately, out and about rebuilding what was lost in the fires amongst other things. Now the bell had tolled she had little to do, standing still as other horses started to move out. Even Aiko would be a silent companion today, the dog having been well instructed by her parents before they left. She had chosen one of Argus' temples to listen to the priest speaking, hoping it would appease the god. She was still worried the deity was malcontent with their herd or even with her herself. She supossed she could go a little further and start her day of silence with a silent prayer inside the temple itself. She walked forward carefully, Aiko hot on her heels.

Arges | Driven
The tolling of the bells rippled through silence like after a pebble having gently been tossed into a pond. The pebble hardly seemed a speck of dust to this pond, but its effects radiate and are felt by even the most unaware of fish. Arges opened his tired yellow eyes and gazed forward. There wasn't a familiar face to be seen by the Driven and it made him uneasy. He felt as though today would offer a sort of redemption of faith. It had been three months since fire rained on the city and three months since he last prayed.
Arges passed a look over those around him, trying to focus on them and invoke the blessing he'd been born with. Nothing came. Either his failing faith was disrupting his focus or the silence called upon for the wisps extended even to their minds. The dark, dusty colored stallion remained quiet like the rest, but within the reaches of his conscious a part of him was crying out, hoping to hear anything at all. Holding the hope that the wisps would bring whispers from his long passed parents kept his head up. Arges also felt a longing for word from a more divine source to comfort him and tell him he hadn't been forgotten. Unalert ears hung at odd angles from his head still pining to hear what the wisps had to say.

Dodger
"Don't be scared to walk alone. Don't be scared to like it."
---
Dodger took a moment to take in his surroundings. The few equines around him were an interesting bunch it seemed, and the clicking of hoofbeats around him sounded melodically in his ears. The silence was welcoming, and the stallion closed his bi-colored eyes for a moment to absorb the natural sounds of movement and stone underfoot as they made their way to the gardens. However, an uneasy feeling began to set into the proud guard's gut. Something tugged at his mind that something was amiss. He stopped in his tracks for a moment, raising his head and looking around. What is missing here? his mind reeled.
The mix's gaze floated over the dual headed chimeric Priestess and Magi, Yuki and Hikaru, to the young Uncut Breidan, wings folded and gangly legs moving quickly to stay near the twins. He saw Nefertiti to his right, a little closer to Yuki and Hikaru, the beautiful gray mare's coat gleaming in the low light. Arges was a little further behind, his gaze showing his mind was in a place far from the Temple. Cecilia. Though he really shouldn't worry about work at the moment, a thought he cursed himself about, it was still his duty to guard the royals, and the cream colored filly caught the seal bay's eyes as she made her way back towards the Temple. He stamped a shod hoof, a sound for attention, and a toss of the head to motion the direction the group was heading before turning back and trotting to his spot in the group.
So all were accounted for... but why were the knots in his stomach still there? Dodger took a deep breath. Maybe it was a good thing he was tagging along with this group. The strange feeling was hard to place; solitude would probably have only made the problem worse. So he trekked on after the group, his movements once again quiet and in place and his mind still tingling with a nervous feeling.

Checkpoint 1//
Finally it has begun. All around you, the wisps are beginning to appear; their little blue flames flickering with life. There are a few at first, but their numbers grow rapidly surrounding you on all sides. Their whispered voiced echo in your ear, words indistinguishable as if they spoke another language. Their beauty and mystery is captivating but still, you can not seem to shake the feeling that something is not quit right.

Cecillia | Royal family
A particular loud thud of a hoof caught Cecillia's attention and she turned her head in the sound's direction, ears turning forward. When no other noise came, she turned her head back again. Perhaps someone had just stumbled. Aiko had looked over as well, recognising one of the palace's guards. Though he raised his head at the dark colored horse and wagged his tail once in greeting, he did not feel the need to indulge the stallion in whatever he seemed to be sillently saying. Instead he returned his attention towards Cecilla. She had in the meantime bowed her head and mentally asked Argus for protection, praising the god of arcane. Like a small foal would request from an angry parents she also asked the god not to be mad. Surely nobody had wanted the god to be mad and if someone had upset him, it wouldn't have been on purpose. As more and more wisps appeared, the whispered words around Cecillia's became more present and she turned her attention towards it. She had heard many one horse sigh how beautiful those wisps were, but she herself could not understand why, only hearing words she could not understand. She couldn't even touch them so the filly had no inkling of what they were like. Where they like horses? Or something completely else? Why did they speak yet utter not a single word she could understand? And why on this day, could she not shake the feeling like something was off?

B R E I D A N "Being brave is all about being scared. You just keep on going despite it." __ __ __ __ As the horses around them grew in number, the young colt felt compelled to hang ever closer to his adoptive mother. Breidan weaved in and out between the twins forelegs, only pausing every once in a while to acknowledge and bow to the gathering of equines around them. Despite the anxiety he could sense hanging the air, Breidan could sense the building anticipation, as though the holiday would soon reach its climax. His head poked out from Yuki and Hikaru's form, the biggest of smiles starting to form as the wisps begun to appear.
One could hear him gasp softly. Breidan took a moment to observe his surroundings. There were three other horses nearby, and a filly, only a few years older than him. But none of them he truly knew--in fact, the colt was just starting to remember the names of the other Magis that studied at the shrine.
He looked hopeful. Already, the colts ears were perked forward, listening intently, faithful that he might hear his mother and aunt's sweet voices. Or maybe, guidance from his father!
But they did not come. Alas, not yet. Much to the colt's dismay, the tension that he had only thought was his own anxiety still hung. Something felt...weird. Off. Only now had Breidan begun to register it.
Slowly, the smile fell on his face, and it twisted into confusion. Feeling strangely insecure, Breidan hung back into the safety between Yuki and Hikaru's forelegs, ears flat.

Nefertiti | Echo | Breim
A glimmer of light caught the mares attention and brought her peridot eyes up off the stone floor. They were here. They had finally arrived. Her heart felt like the weight of the last few months had left and warmth and comfort washed over her. Her eyes flicked around each of the glowing wisps, hoping their words would make sense or at least a familiar tone would be heard in the low hum of their voices.
A soft gasp caught her attention, turning to look at the young pegasus foal between the priestess and magi's legs. A gentle smile crossed her lips before she looked back forward towards the wisps. He was a cutie pie, and looked around Morgan's age, and the mare found some small comfort in his presence. With a soft sigh to her own thoughts, she watched as the others around her watched the wisps. This herd was like a large family, and though she could never remember everyone's names, she still knew there was a home to be found among them as much as they could find one with her.
Turning to look at the Magi to her side again, her happier gaze began to wane as the ominous feeling crept back up her spine. She knew she couldn't speak, so she waited and hoped he would make eye contact with her so her expression could tell him what she could not. If nothing else she wanted to make sure she wasn't alone in this odd feeling.

Yuki & Hikaru Well, there's two sides, to every situation Yes, there's two sides, two interpretations
The mare smiled reassuringly to the group that now seemed to follow her into the garden. The priestess always appreciated the company, even more so on a day like today when silence was expected. While her brother may have preferred solitude, Yuki was almost always found socializing with others. Flicking her ears back every so often as she walked along the cobbled path, the mare kept her ears peeled for any sudden changes. As much as today was a day of silence, something still felt wrong...
She shook her head slightly, trying to chalk it up to mild paranoia after the incident with the Aodhians. Then again, it was hard not to be on edge after that whole debacle... Her gaze shifted to the colt that now peered out from beneath her and Hikaru. He was so small, so young to have dealt with so much tragedy, and yet here he was.
She watched his tiny face light up as the wisps slowly began appearing, the blue glow of the magical creatures illuminating his dark coat. She could see the disappointment grow on Breidan's face, though she was unsure of the cause. Leaning down to nuzzle his cheek, Yuki made a mental note to ask the colt about it later, once the bells had sounded again.
As Yuki's thoughts rested on the young pegasus, Hikaru found his mind mulling over all the possible causes of the strange feeling he just couldn't seem to shake. Something was wrong, terribly wrong... and though he knew Yuki had felt it too, it concerned him that she didn't seem more worried about it. He glanced at each of the faces that had gathered to follow Yuki, some familiar, others strangers, but each carrying a recognizable expression of uncertainty.
He inhaled deeply, careful not to make too much noise. It was some comfort to know that he and Yuki were not alone in the odd feeling, that his gut was right.... but at the same time it concerned him all the more. If everyone was feeling unease, something must be truly wrong. He flicked his ears around as the wisps voices grew louder in his ears, watching as they appeared as they did every year. Hikaru relaxed slightly, knowing that if the herd was really in any kind of danger, the wisps would be the first to react. As long as they were here, everything was alright.

Dodger
"Don't be scared to walk alone. Don't be scared to like it."
---
Dodger allowed himself a soft smile of awe as the wisps flitted around he and the band of equines, taking great care not to flick the ears they whispered in, despite not being able to directly translate into words what the beautiful little blue beings were saying. His eyes glittered with admiration as the guard welcomed the little flames into his space.
His eyes drifted to the others in the band, his awe temporary and his unease still eating his gut. It was almost comforting to see that each of the other horses had a look of discomfort in their eyes, and even the twins were rather uneasy it seemed and the little foal weaved in and out of their legs nervously. The appaloosa cross swished his tail, an ear pinning in a sign of discomfort before relaxing to allow the whispering of the wisps once more. But his instincts screamed something wasn't right, and with the raging uncertainty and the overlapping voices around him, his mind almost felt overwhelmed. But he knew he was better than allowing this to get the better of him on such an important day, so he closed his eyes as he walked next to Nefertiti, taking a quiet but deep breath to allow his mind to clear for a moment.
Why was this feeling so nagging? Why, on such a beautiful holiday, did paranoia grip not only himself, but the horses near him? He knew of these other horses, but did not know all of them beforehand. But had his voice been allowed, his filter he'd done so well to put on his mind would have been dropped, and he almost literally had to bite his tongue to not break the sacred silence and voice his discomfort. Another deep breath as the spotted stallion let the wisps whisper again, despite the unease in his being rising.

Arges | Driven
The cold blue light cast harsh lines across the Driven's body, outlining the bone and depleting muscle. A wisp hung close to sunken eyes hissing out its foreign language.
Arges had stopped to prolong his contact with this wisp. He mustered up the feeling of being familiar with it, placing on the creature the sense that it were someone he once knew. Anything to make himself feel better. The wisp hung inches from his face, so close the stallion had to almost cross his eyes to see it clearly. It almost seemed to touch the star which had been halfway hidden by a drooping forelock. Another wisp dropped down and spun about his head still speaking in gibberish. This second one met up with the first and the two lazily orbited around each other, floating slowly upward. A burning feeling in Arges' heart crawled up his throat and into his eyes. Twelve years. He made a mental reminder. Twelve years since he had last seen his parents. Since he had last felt their loving eyes rest on him. While he couldn't know for sure, Arges felt as if the two wisps that had danced so close were somehow a part of his parents. It did little to mend his faith, but for the first time in three months he connected himself to the feeling of love. His eyes burned from the tears that welled up and the slightest smile played at the corner of his mouth.
With the pair of wisps floating on their way, Arges started back with a the group.

From the stillness of the temple, a scream rings out echoing across the cavern. As it fades, a moment of still returns but all to quickly things turn south. The wisps, startled by the scream begin to vibrate and twitch before suddenly turning black and disappearing back into their realm. The day of silence has been broken and once again, panic begins to settle over Nariah.

B R E I D A N "Being brave is all about being scared. You just keep on going despite it." __ __ __ __ Oh, how he tried to swallow down that odd feeling bearing down on his wings, to lavish in this rare opportunity. He was still clinging to the hope that a wisp may approach with tales of his fallen family, even just to confirm that, in spirit, they were there. Their souls were still present, even if they were drifting on some otherworldly plane. He wanted to hear his aunt's stern, but fostering tone again, and his mother's sweet lullabies. He wanted to hear the voice of a father whom he never got to meet.
The impatience was clear. Breidan snorted softly. Even as he returned his affections by pressing the top of his head gently against Yuki's snout, and rubbing up against it, the colt stamped his back hoof once in irritation. Why was this feeling so nagging? Was he right to feel this way? He didn't recall ever feeling that way on the Day of the Wisps before, so why here? Was his family trying to tell him something?
Had he not been busy mulling over his own annoyance, he would have noticed the trio of wisps slowly making their way toward him sooner. They all came from different directions--one from Breidan's left, another from Breidan's right, and one from directly ahead of him.
Their blue light danced upon his plumage as they grew nearer. Breidan's blue-eyed gaze remained fixed on the ones in the center, even as the other two lazily drifted toward him. They all gave incoherent babble, some kind of strange gibberish that made Breidan want to giggle. It's so funny! I can't understand them but the sounds they make is funny! He had gotten close to a wisp before, in the company of Aunt Mag, but never this close.
The one just ahead of him drifted closer to the other one now. It was humming, softly, though whatever tune or lyric it tried to mimic was broken up by some incoherent babble. A suspicious, but excited feeling crept up on the boy's withers. He had high hopes. No, it had to be, there was no denying it! It had to be mother!
He wanted to reach out and touch it. The colt's little racing heart thrust him to do so. But just as the wisp was mere inches from his snout---
A bloodcurdling scream echoed through the cavern. As brave as he was, the child could not have been caught more off guard, and he flinched, recoiled, and ducked behind Yuki and Hikaru's foreleg. The wisps vanished, but not before twisting into a startling, eerie black.
Breidan gasped. What was once a bright, hopeful smile on his face had fallen into a mixture sorrow and fear. His limbs very easily quivered, and soon enough the colt's head darted around in search for the source of the scream.
Then he realized, the wisps were gone.
His ears sank, and so did his heart. No, no, he had been so close! How he had longed to hear his mother's sweet voice again, and being torn away from his chance of hearing it again only made that longing stronger. It was as though he was being tantalized, moments from learning more about his family only to be ripped from it within seconds.
And then there was that scream. Who screamed? Why? Was there a fire? Were the dragons back?! Breidan didn't know whether to feel fear or anger. He felt an immediate surge of urgency to protect his adoptive family--however possible it would be for a ten year-old colt to do that--but at the same time, he wanted to cry, and was the verge of tears for being so close and yet so far from hearing his lost family.
Breidan managed to stifle a wince. But he couldn't help but sniffle.

Yuki & Hikaru Well, there's two sides, to every situation Yes, there's two sides, two interpretations
Hikaru held his breath as one of the tiny creatures almost brushed against his cheek, not wanting to startle it. The wisps had always fascinated him, and even as a young child, he drank up any knowledge about them he could get his hooves on. Lore, rumors, old folk tales, even historical documentation, he desired it all.
Still as he watched the wisps gently float about, he found the unsettled feeling was still there. Though it concerned him less now, seeing as the wisps didn't seem at all effected by it..whatever it was. That all changed in an instant though, as a blood curdling scream rang out through the cavern. The wisps shook in an eerie sort of way before turning black and disappearing all together. The silence had been broken and the magic lost....but why?
Hikaru turned to look at his sister, hoping she might have some sort of an answer, but it wasn't meant to be. Yuki stared back at him, her face just as lost as his own. What was going on? Bending his head low, he gently nuzzled Breidan, attempting to reassure the young colt as he sniffled softly, standing over him protectively
Yuki flicked an ear back, listening for another scream, something that might express danger was near, but there was nothing but silence left in it's wake. The mare glanced at the group gathered around her.
"Our sacred silence has been broken, and the wisps have left us..." She started solemnly. "I do not know why, and until we know what is going on, I would advise you all to stay calm. You are all welcome to accompany me back inside the Temple for food and drink while we await answers." Her voice was calm and sure as she spoke, taking in each face around her. Something was very, very wrong, but until Yuki knew what it was, there was no sense in instilling more fear into the hearts of her fellow Breimen.
Turning her gaze to Breidan, she leaned down, pressing her muzzle to his feathered cheek. "It's going to be alright Breidan..." She whispered, tears welling up in her eyes as she looked at the little colt who had already been through so much. "I'm right here...and I'm not going to leave you." She said, wrapping her neck around his tiny form.

Dodger
"Don't be scared to walk alone. Don't be scared to like it."
---
Dodger felt his heart begin to pound as the scream echoed through Nariah, and all at once he felt it sink as the wisps flitted into nonexistence. His voice caught in his throat, and the usually outspoken stallion was for once at a loss for words. The beautiful silence of the holiday had been shattered, and he could feel the panic arising from where he stood. But the spotted guard shook his unmarked head, heterochromic eyes full of dismay, yet demanding in their gaze. He flicked his ears anxiously, almost antsy to hunt down whatever disrupted this holiday. But he was also determined to stay with the group as planned. It would be no use to him to leave. Not with the inevitable panic that was sure to rear its ugly head soon. Dodger couldn't help but stand in the direction of the scream though, ears perked and straining for any other sounds of danger or distress.
When none came, an ear swiveled to Yuki at the sound of her voice. Words wounded foreign to him, and it took a moment before his mind wrapped around the fact that the silence would not be regained, and he was free to speak as he pleased. "I accept your offer, Priestess," he murmured respectively, turning a head to the twins. He noticed the fearful little pegasus colt, and his desire to be close to the twins. He could feel the confusion and tension in the air, and a part of him felt bad for the young uncut. He could see the confusion on Yuki and Hikaru's faces. They were as puzzled as the rest, and the cross couldn't be frustrated at anyone, as no one knew what was going on, and despite his itching urge to gallop in the direction of the sound, he controlled himself and reluctantly allowed patience for an answer later in the day. This isn't supposed to happen... none of it is, he thought in a growl, carefully stepping towards the group as he had taken a few towards the sound beforehand. He cast a gaze to the world above him, the sky of course hidden by the rock of the cavern keeping Breim underground, thinking a prayer to Argus for answers.

Cecillia | Royal family
It seemed like nothing these days could go right and so it was almost no surpise to Cecillia that this sacred day was no exception. The filly held her breath as a piercing scream broke the silence that hung over the breimian horses. It sounded horrible and her head shot up in worry, unsure of what was going on. Was someone in trouble? It sounded so loud though. She was not sure ot was a noise a horse could make. Well at least she hoped so. Aiko growled at the air, hairs on end now. He too did not like the sound of it and placed himself closer to the young royal. The priestess voice broke the renewed silence and Cecillia's attention immediaty latched onto it. She prompted them to stay calm and the cream filly did her best to do just that. She started walking towards the noice, Aiko guiding her movement. She was scared though, her little heart beating wildly in her chest. What was that noise? If the priestess said to stay calm, did that mean it was something worth panicking over? And the wisps, they were gone she said. Why? Was it the gods? Did they have a say over the dead? She remembered Kaia and Argus might. Where they angry? Those and many more questions spooked through her head. She tried her best not to tremble. She was a member of the royal family and was supossed to be an example to the horses of Breim. She needed to inspire bravery when things got scary. Try as she might, her lip she couldn't keep from trembling.

Nefertiti | Echo | Breim
Olivine eye's wondered over the pulsing glowing of the wisps, the mare unaware she had stopped breathing to help herself listen. A low hum from one of them caught her attention as she turned to look at it better. Could this be him? Her Gaius? Heart hammering in her chest as a shimmer of tears formed in her eyes, Nefertiti reached out to the wisp that had found her, smiling as it floated towards her.
A scream erupted in the large cavern of Nariah, and the silvery gold mare gave a shaky breath as he body froze in place. The wisp closest to her vibrated before blacking out of existence like the others around them, and her heart now began to sink.
Who did it? Who was responsible?
Eye's more like a toxin now, glared out of the crowd, but all seemed just as confused as she. Fighting back her tears, she turned quickly to the Priestess as she spoke.
It was over.
The day of peace she had so longed for ruined.
Nodding her head to her offer, Nefertiti gave a toss of her mane and shook out her body, in hopes it would relieve some of her tension. She wanted to get to the bottom of this as soon as possible. The eerie feeling now feeling like a toad squat upon her back as she followed the crowd. Perhaps the scream was connected to it? Or maybe it was something worse? Maybe there was a new attack on this peaceful day like the one months ago?
Her mind raced to both find solution and to calm her now growing fears. She just hoped now, that whatever the reason, it should be at least a good reason.

B R E I D A N "Being brave is all about being scared. You just keep on going despite it." __ __ __ __ The eerie stillness prompted him to keep oddly quiet. Breidan often spared his childlike, impulsive behavior for days like these, when silence was more than appreciated. Even now, after the wisps had vanished, the colt kept his thoughts to himself and wondered if it was safe to speak. His aunt had always given the cue, and it was a bit saddening when he realized that he wouldn't get to hear it again.
He felt a snout nuzzle the top of his head softly. Breidan lifted his head up to see his adoptive uncle, Hikaru, and stepped closer to his foreleg, letting the twins' large form continue to hide most of his. He was incredibly hesitant to leave either side of them and venture out into the open.
He stared up at his adoptive mother and uncle, blue eyes looking up anxiously. "Are they...gonna come back at all?" He asked slowly. Breidan surely hoped so, after all he had been so close to hearing their whispers. He'd be heartbroken to know that it would be another year before they'd appear again.
The colt winced, ears pinning back in his discomfort. "I thought I heard mother's voice..." Those blue eyes drifted toward the dirt, even as Yuki's neck intertwined with his lovingly. Though still lost in thought, he voiced his opinions openly. "I don't wanna stay here." If that scream had any connection to a dragon, or a fire, than the first thing he wanted to do was get far away from it. "Yuki...Hikaru, can we go some'wer' else now?"

Checkpoint 2.5//
A flutter of wings draws your attention to the sky, a small white dove descending before Priestess Yuki and Magi Hikaru. Around it's leg is a scribbled note tied with a red ribbon:
Come to Kaia's shrine -Judith
It is all you can make out but it seems urgent.
