Ryder | Serora | Medicine-Horse
Ryder was at the ripe age of 18 when he ventured onto the sands of Sedo and was taken under the wing of a nomadic Medicine-Horse. He had learned through his travels that the horses of Sedo were a gentle, kind people, ready to help whoever was in need in whatever way that they could. There were also downsides to living in these deserts. Resources were much harder to come by than they had been in his homelands of Aquore, and being a hippocampus, Ryder was accustomed to living closely to the water which was also difficult to find in these arid lands.
His mentor had taken him to the capital, Osulas, the first opportunity that they had gotten to meet with the Sultan and bless Ryder's acceptance into the herd officially. The Sultan was as kind of the other Serorans that he had come across, granting the young hippocampus to become one of them. Nervousness bit at his stomach at the thought of all the responsibility that had been placed on his shoulders. He had much to live up to and had to gain the trust and respect of those around him. Talorians were secretive folk, and Serorans were quite different than them. It would take quite awhile for him to get used to that aspect of his new life. As the thoughts crossed his mind of all he had to learn, the Sultan seemed to have an idea: go see the Aodhian Ambassador while they were in town to see if they had the time to show him around and introduce him to some of the things that were typical of Sedo.
After being told of the Ambassador's whereabouts and finding it among the crazy, unfamiliar city, Ryder carefully knocked at the door, praying quietly that he would be able to have a normal conversation for once with a stranger rather than fumble of his words and explanations as to why he was there like he normally did. "H-hello? The Sultan sent me here to speak with you... if you have the time that is." He called, waiting for the door to open.

Syria Future Ambassador
Brow arched upside when she was told she would be showing around a new comer. In all honesty she was confused as to why she would even be doing this? How was this training, but her mentor explained the importance and while it may not mean much for her future, it mean a lot for the future of another. Those few words struck a chord with her, she realized her actions were a bit unlike her own, while everyone had selfish streaks within them, she tried to make sure none were within herself. She had to be what Serora stood for and selfishness was not a quality they were known for. Syria though awaited for the new comer to approach where she was staying, she never stayed anywhere too long, for she had much to learn and learning only in one spot was something her mentor proclaimed to be self damaging. Syria smiled at that thought.
Body jumped at the sound of a knock, the new comer was here. A large smile graced her lips a she was indeed quite curious of who it was at the door. Syria moved quickly and opened the door and looked to Ryder. She eyed him lightly, but her face was all the more friendly. "Hello! Glad to see you have arrived here well! Im Syria, and I will be showing you around." she grinned. "Osulas is kind of big, but once you travel around the place, you'll get the hang of it." Eyes looked to him all the more eagerly. While she wanted to know more about this stranger, she refused to let her curious nature to take hold of her. If he wanted to talk about him, she'd let him but she would not try to dive into the depths of someone else. "I have some water skins in my pack and some gold so we can be sure to try a few things while we are out." A sly wink was sent his way, but not so much in a teasing manner, but more in a playful one.
Syria stepped out squeezing out past Ryder and the house. "Did you want anything first? A drink a snack?" she asked him curiously. "Sorry I tend to talk a bit to much. Im still working on it." A laugh escaped her lips as she felt her face grow hot. Calm down Syria, you are doing fine, she thought fervently to herself. Just breath and relax and soon it will be like talking to an old friend.

Ryder | Serora | Medicine-Horse
Ryder waited patiently for the door to open, glancing around at the strange, new world around him. He watched the bustling horses in the streets, carefully walking about to or from work or wherever else was here for them in Osulas. His blue eyes traveled to the skies where he could see the shapes of pegasi flying to the tops of the hills where he had been told crops were grown where only they could reach. It was magnificent and so strange at the same time. Never had he seen pegasi fly so freely. Where he was from, they walked among the land-bound equines, their wings tucked tightly to their sides or hidden underneath cloaks. Here in Sedo, it seemed everyone was accepted for who they were.
Ryder's head snapped in the direction of the door as he heard it open, and his eyes fell on a young mare about his age. Her eyes were an icy blue that contrasted with the warm colors of her pelt. The young stallion shifted his weight rather awkwardly, leaning from one side and then to the other as he tried to get comfortable under the sight of this stranger. He felt his fins rise nervously, and he tried his hardest to flatten them closer along his spine. The last thing he wanted to be known for was the hippocampus in the desert.
"H-hi there, Syria. I'm Ryder... if no one has told you that yet." He chuckled quietly, offering her a friendly smile. "I really appreciate you showing me around. It's a lot different than Aquore." Ryder mentioned almost hesitantly, knowing the natural curiosity that came with the name of the secretive land. He listened intently to her speak of the things that she had in her bag and that they could use them later, and Ryder found himself intrigued by the plans that she seemed to have for the day. Her playful wink in his direction brought a small blush to his cheeks along with a nervous chuckle. "A-awesome. I can't wait to see what you have planned."
With a small step, he got out of Syria's way, allowing her to exit the house freely. The stallion shook his head at her offer. "No thank you. I ate before I came here." It hadn't exactly been a gourmet meal or anything, but it had been enough to fill his stomach and that was all that mattered. Ryder chuckled at her words, shaking his head. "Don't worry about it. I tend to be rather quite, or so I've heard, so I suppose we won't be talking over each other." Ryder joked with a small laugh, hoping she didn't take offense to his comment. "So, Syria, where to first?"

Syria Future Ambassador
Syria nodded all the more to what he said. "A real pleasure to show you around Ryder! Truly it is, I normally don't get to do this stuff. I spent a lot of my days either training or my nose buried in a book studying." she laughed as she nudged him gently before trotting forwards with ease. "Im going to be a future Ambassador, as for where? Well not to sure, but my eyes are on Aodh." she grinned proudly. "What about you Ryder? I know you are new here, but Im sure you have heard of some jobs here. Anything perk your interest at all?" she asked him a bit curiously as she trotted onward, of course she wanted to ask about Talori, to ask about that world, but if he wasn't there anymore, there must be a good reason and she shouldn't press the issue.
Keeping the pass moving forwards Syria had plans to show him the big city here where all the magic normally happens. To taste new foods, see the latest trends and fabric. It was a place to be if one wanted to make some coins or spend it. As they moved along she couldn't help, but get a good look at him now, she could see that he was a hippocampus, which was neat to see, one didnt really see those in Serora that often, but still neat none the less. Syria had always wished at some point in her life wings would sprout from her shoulder, but alas it never happened.
Ears flickered upwards as the got closer to the main area of the city and music filled the area "Oh must have some equine performing! Would you like to see? A nice dip into our cultural experience." she grinned and chuckling all the more. With a playful nudge to him she moved a bit closer to where the performers where, hoping perhaps to see some of the aerial dancers. They were always a delight

Ryder | Serora | Medicine-Horse
Ryder smiled, choosing to remain silent than to mess up the potential of friendship with his awkward attempts at socializing. Oh gods, why hadn't he been blessed with something to help his social life rather than the gills that made him so odd in this arid climate? He followed along after her, trying to keep up without bumping into anyone that passed by them. His attention was grabbed by all the activity around them, but he kept his torn ear focused on her as she spoke.
So she was studying to be an Ambassador! "That sounds quite exciting. I'm sure you'll make a great Ambassador someday." He responded with a small smile. At her question, the hippocampus hesitated slightly. His brows knitted together slightly in concentration. What was he going to do? "Well, I'd really like to give back to the herd for so graciously taking me in. The stallion that found me and has taken me under his wing is a Medicine-horse. I'd enjoy working under him and learning how to treat different illnesses and injuries." Ryder explained, chuckling sheepishly. It seemed every time he talked about himself that he got red-faced and embarrassed, so he quickly turned the conversation back to her. "S-so what makes you interested in traveling to Aodh? I haven't heard much about them other than the obvious things like their wealth and lifestyles."
Ryder noticed how the crowds grew more dense the further they traveled and guessed that they were heading towards the middle of the city. Along with the thicker crowd, he smelled the delicious aroma of food filling the air around them from food stands and restaurants. So many things were assaulting his senses that he almost didn't notice that Syria had stopped in front of him to look at some performers. His blue eyes peered curiously in the direction that the music was coming from, and he nodded slowly at her question. "I'd like to take a look." He said as she playfully nudged his shoulder and walked closer to where the performers were hosting their performance. With a grin, Ryder followed after her, finally spotting the performers from around the crowd.
There was a drummer and a horse blowing into some kind of wind instrument that Ryder had never seen before, and before them, a mare was dancing. Her body was covered in delicate, flowing clothe that shimmered and swayed with each of her graceful movements that mimicked the movements of the wind. Ryder couldn't help but forget his manners and be mesmerized by the hypnotic dance. Never in Aquore would he see such a performance especially with a mare dancing so openly in the streets, and he noticed that a hot blush had crept onto his cheeks.
