Katarina Iron Hoof
Kat kept her eyes trained on the ever-expanding plume of smoke in the distance, reaching into the sky like a stain. The sun was high overhead and the heatwaves were doing their best to deter the party. The desert around her was as normal as it could be, baking hot and stinging sand though looks are almost always deceiving. She kept her pace, recalling events that had occurred earlier in the day that had sent her towards the lurking mystery ahead. It all started when Osprey, her sultan, called her to him with a hint of urgency in his voice. She knew the Aodh visitors were expected today, though she doubted that was the cause of his distress. They do worship fire after all. All thoughts of amusement left her mind when he showed her the tower of smoke. He’d already got a team together by the time she had sped out of the room. Fires were dangerous in Sedo as they could spread for miles and destroy everything in their path with nothing to stop them or slow them down. Kat knew this had to be contained quickly or they would be in trouble. They continued to grow closer every second, the smoke getting larger and larger, though from them getting nearer to the source or to the source growing in size, she could not tell. She couldn’t help but wonder however, was this an omen or just bad luck?

Crescent Fallabor
Seroran Fleetfoot
Crescent was ready.
Well, she had been since waaaay earlier this morning when she had actually gotten her summons. She had her mother's cloak firmly around her neck, her hair drawn back into its even braid as her tail brushed her legs, drawn back into a loose ponytail to keep it in order. Her ears swiveled and flicked, silver eyes trained on the distance
She hoped it wasn't a fire. Because fire was bad and it spread and once she tried to bite it and it burned and
Okay she was getting off track here. As if to remind herself, she shook her head wildly, bouncing on her hooves a bit as she huffed out another breath.
A quick cloak adjustment left her to trot along beside the other horses. It was like a big game of follow the leader! Only, this might have been life threatening and she didn't need to make fun of that. Only Aurum did that and dad would still glare at her.
She was almost breaking into a springing trot to burn off some of energy that left her jumping around like a jackrabbit most of the time. But she settled for a walk, shivering with anticipation
Oooo I wanna know what it is! The suspense is killing me!

Roland You say I dream too big; I say you dream too small. ✯✫✯
The minute the stallion left the room with the other warriors, he took to the sky. His large, leathery, heavily tattooed wings stretched wide against the blazing morning sun. He glanced down at his marching team mates through dusty goggles, his thick, curly hair ruffling in the slight breeze as he flapped his wings just enough to keep him in the air. The pillar of smoke billowed before them, creating strange textures through the sky as the heat danced before his soft eyes.
What were they getting themselves into?
Biting his lip, Roland climbed higher into the sky, his eyes narrowing as he tried to see the cause of such a phenomenon. However, the smoke was too thick, they were too far away, and he couldnt see jack.
"Fuck." The stallion muttered to himself, his ears flicking back against his neck. His gaze tipped down to find his crew once more, their small forms shuffling through the sandy banks below. His lips curled in a smirk as he curled his wings to his body, closing his eyes as his body slowed, suspending in air for a mere few seconds before falling.
He loved the rush of falling through thin air; the way his heart pounded as his brain screamed that he was going to end in a fatal landing. He loved how the hot wind blew through his hair and around his wings, pulling at his painted coat and gathering up his tail. He loved the rush of cheating death, shaking his head at him, not today!
He opened his eyes just in time before the ground came crashing in, flicking his wings out to the side. His stomach flipped as they caught wind, the leather expanding to catch his heavy form before he crashed into the sand. His hooves skirted the sand, sliding against it as he skipped along with the momentum before finding his hooves again. He trotted along side everyone, his gaze flickering to the excited red mare before landing on Katarina, the only one he actually knew in this whole group.
With a flick of his mind, he pushed his goggles to his forehead. "I cant see shit up there." He said, his tone light and breath still labored from his little stunt. "Was worth a shot though. I guess we'll just have to see when we get there." A frown played across his lips. He really hoped it wasnt a natural fire. Maybe it was a simple farmer, burning his weeds or unwanted crops. "Hey, if we're lucky, its just a silly ol' farmer burning his old crop." He added with a chuckle, though he didnt even believe it himself.

Ra | Medicine Horse.
What did she know about fire? Snorting to herself as she gazed up at the column of black smoke that was littering the morning sky. She was aware that it hurt, and could cause serious burns if not handle carefully and with the idea of these Warriors jumping in head first to danger, and ultimately needing her help in the end, was why she assumed that she was here. She almost scoffed at the thought that she was here to play nurse.
Cocking up an eyebrow at the red mare that seemed to be way to excited for this expedition out into the sands. It was excitement she had seen before, and she openly welcomed it as she figured it was better to have one that was lively and full of energy than be stuck with those who only feared for the worst. Tearing her eyes away from the red-mare, her blue orbs focused back up on the smoke that seemed to be dancing through the sky. By Alya, she didn't want to assume that it was the doing of the Aodians. But Ignacio was there god, and he enjoyed fire. Hell, the god even gave fire abilities to his own believers- what if it was some of his worshipers trying to prove a point among all the chaos. Shaking her head side to side in a movement that singled she was trying to get rid of bad thoughts- she assured herself the Aodhians wouldn't do such a thing, would they?
She was barely listening to what the winged stallion had to say, much to focused on what if things went bad. Letting her lips twist up into a soft smile as he mentioned it was some farmer burning his corps- she truly wondered if that would be better than the Aodhians. Losing crops either way was something that made her head hurt a little, and her stomach almost audibly groaned at the thought of going hungry. You need to get it together, Ra. She mentally slapped herself, trying to remind herself to not let her stress get to high.
She didn't want to be a liability from all the teleporting she would do if her stress got to out of hand. So with a soft sigh, she once again told herself to get it together, and that she might actually be of some use with what knowledge she had over burns and other injuries that these warriors might receive. She wanted to be useful and prove her worth during this time of need in Sedo.

The last thing Aragon wanted to deal with was fire. Her mother had died in a wildfire and her father had gone mad with rage towards Ignacio afterwards.. But when there's trouble, and the Sultan decided to send his best out, they had to answer the call. On this mission she was paired with Katarina, Crescent, Roland, and Ra. She only had a personal relationship with Ra. The mare was in the last mission with Ari. The little roan Arabian was galloping along rather contently, her hooves eating up the ground. Her never depleted energy kept her going in a rather up beat pace, her goggles were pulled down to keep the sand and sun out of her eyes. As Ari watched Roland fly around she was tempted to boost herself up into the air just to surprise him. 'No, no, I must conserve my energy.' She thought and slowed down to a trot and come back to the group placing herself around the middle of the pack. When Roland landed one of her small ears flicked to listen to him. Though the news he delivered was not what she was hoping for. Aragon sighed softly once to herself before giving her head a soft shake. This would not be a farmers burn pile nor would it be from a small fire. Her icy eyes returned to looking at the villainous plume of dark smoke. 'Oh boy.'

Whirlwind - Seroran Fleetfoot
Smoke meant fire, and fire spread fast. Whirlwind could say that he didn't enjoy fire, as it just added to the blazing heat of the desert. He was always miserable, but this heat just made things worse. He was lingering at the back of the group, imagining what could possibly have caused the billowing wall of smoke to emerge before them. It was early, and the sun was only going to get hotter, so he had to remind himself to keep his head up about this and keep his attitude to a minimum. No one else was going to be overly thrilled about this either, he assumed. Causing problems would make this trip harder. Osprey had chosen them for a reason, he had to remember. Making fools of the horses here, himself included, by causing drama, was the last thing that he wanted to do. He shifted his gaze to focus on Crescent, vividly remembering their short journey together. She'd been painful to tolerate until he had gotten to know her better. Her energy was refreshing, as long as he didn't have to deal with it, that was. She could be hyper from a distance. He wouldn't bother with her if he could avoid it. Of course he didn't necessarily dislike her. He just couldn't match her excitement. His ears flicked back and he jumped slightly as Roland landed nearby, and swung his head to face him. He internally cursed himself for being so jumpy. After all, it wasn't like there were any monsters or something that were going to just fall out of the sky? Then again, he thought. Close enough."I'd love to say I could agree with you." Whirlwind chuckled softly, raising his eyes to the billowing clouds before them. "But I don't think that a farmer burning off his crops would produce a fire that could make that much smoke."

Katarina glanced at Roland as he landed beside her, muttering about not seeing a damn thing and farmers burning crops. Both of those things were not what she was hoping to hear as she trotted ever closer to the source of the smoke. She was able to smell it now, a deep musky scent, not terrible but not something she would like to have around all the time. Definitely not after they just got out of a drought either.
She worried. Of course she did. She always feared the worst, finding it helped her prepare for whatever the situation may be. Sometimes though, her vision of what she feared the most wasn't quite up to par. Especially since she was already seeing the reflected glow of the bright flames in the smoke that rose into the sky.
No, she was not prepared at all, Kat thought, worry rushing through her mind. If she could see the flame-light from where they were, a mere 100 yards from the source, hidden behind a rare rise in the flat Sedo land, then this was much, much bigger than she had anticipated.
Alya help us.

Crescent slowed at the sight of smoke. Her energy was cleaved from her in one fell swoop. She instead began to tremble, ears pinning back. A flick of her mind brought the cloak tighter around her to try and keep her calm
It didn't work. Her overactive imagination made the situation spiral out of control. With every passing minute, her imagination made the situation far worse than it probably was. What if the fire grew too big for them to contain? What if Vagabonds set it up?
What if the Vagabonds chased them down to kill them?! . Her trembling turned to quaking, her eyes turning about to find someone she knew. Her eyes scanned every horse assembled, chewing on her lip. Silver orbs landed on Whirlwind as the little mare crabstepped her way over to the smaller stallion, bending her head
"D-Do you think it's b-bad? " She whispered, stammering a bit as she lashed her tail. She was incredibly worried, eyes locked on the smoke ahead. She stamped a hoof anxiously, ears swiveling

Ari listened to everyone and their comments, mentally she was asking Alya why this was happening. Her eyes were still fixed on the smoke. Everything didn't feel real, as if this was all a dream, no a nightmare. 'Out of everything why a fire?' She mentally begged any god that might be listening to her pitiful pleas. But none the less she pushed on.
An unsettling feeling in her stomach soon erupted like a geyser as they got closer so the source of the thick dark smoke. "This isn't good." She whispered, stating the obvious, as they galloped. "We need Ryder." Suddenly every horse was rather tense, their muscles becoming tighter from fear as they grew closer. Apart of the young red mare didn't even want to look at what was happening. The scent of smoke made her muzzle wrinkle in disgust. With one last push she galloped up the rise with a burst of energy from the fear induced adrenaline that rose in her throat now, warning her. She was matching Katrina's pace and nosing out. Her natural instincts fighting against herself.
As she came to the top Aragons jaw dropped. Speechless, she was completely speechless by the sight.

Ra | Medicine Horse.
By the gods. Could even Cascade help them at this point? She wondered as her blue eyes flowed the smoke down to the glowing red that began to sting her eyes as she tried with all of her might to look away but she couldn't bring herself to do it. She had to keep her eyes trained on it as she glanced around to her companions as she prayed that they would have some idea on how to handle this.
Her ears perked up at the name of Ryder and she glanced over to Aragon as she sliently agreed on the statement. "I don't even think Cadcade could help," She whispers, choosing her words carefully as she remembered how the Talori hated the Pegasi. But in truth was there any god that could help them? Almost wanting to gag at the strong burning smell, she felt her knees want to lock and keep her from moving anywhere.
But she couldn't do that. She forced herself to continue on as she tried to steel herself for whatever was ahead of them. Clicking her tongue in thought as she tried to think on the brightest side as the fire got closer and closer.
Alya. Or anyone. Help.

Well. He had tried.
He shook his head, his messy mane bouncing across his forehead and neck. Here he was trying to lighten the mood, and everyone had to be sticks in the mud.
The stallion shifted his gaze between each of their crew, his lips pressing together as his eyes shifted to train on the pillar of smoke before them. Nervous energy started bubbling in his blood, causing him to flick his leathery wing against his side. The smell of smoke played into his nostrils, causing him to cough softly as they got closer and closer. His ears flicked back as those around them spoke in harsh whispers and soft tones. So much negativity. His brow furrowed.
"C'mon guys, its nothing we cant handle." He snorted. "If we couldnt handle it, Osprey wouldnt have sent us. Have some faith in yourselves, for Alya's sake." His eyes rolled back to focus on before them, his ears flicking forward as they got closer.
It was then that they came upon a rise in the typically flat Seroran land, the smoke tumbling from the other side. The stallion took a deep breath and found himself holding in anticipation.
Here we go..

I survived because the fire in me burns more intensely than the fire around me.
The big black smoke tower Did not bode well. This sound like a macabre task in the pink/blue morning sky. The 3 legged mare sigh. The past months are difficult. And now, fire? What did they do to deserve that? Xer's adoptive father, Ahiha, was not very pleased to see his daughter go to meet the fire. Today, the Aodhians come to Sedo to meet the Sultan, and, for Ahiha, this fire is from Ignacio himself to creat panic and make them fall in a trap. The old stallion have experience and he his not naive. But he believe in the young Sultan, and also in Xer. And so, except a few mutterings, Ahiha wish good luck to the mare and she join her small team.
She was a bit worried to leave Ahiha in this kind of circumstances but she know she can believe in the other warriors in any case. And she was really honored to be choose today by the sultan for a important mission like this. So, with a small smile like everyday, she walk with the other horses in direction of the smoke. Even with 3 legs, she have no problem to walk as fast as the other horses and she try to no be the last one in the small procession.
She don't really have a idea about from where the fire can come. A farmer, like Roland's idea? She was not sure, probably not! or it is a really big farm! A Natural fire... Like if they needed that! She hopeIgnacio don't come to Sedo now... Like Ahiha say, maybe Aodh horses are behind this but... She want to believe they are not that bad... She really hope at least! The best but also the worst option would be the natural fire. For now, she can only pray Alya for her help..
Stressed, exited, nervous, serious, at least, everyone have his own mode. She don't personnaly know any horse here, but she know they names and ear somethings about them. She was calm and still have her small habitual smile. She hope nothing that bad will appened! And them, they turn closer to the fire, and everyone turn more anxious. No one was really ready for this. The smoke, black and oppressive turn closer to them with each step and finaly the red/orange light of the fire will be visible... And they are still far from it. This is really more big and worst that expected. And for a few secondes, she feel the fear come too.
- C'mon guys, its nothing we cant handle. If we couldnt handle it, Osprey wouldnt have sent us. Have some faith in yourselves, for Alya's sake.
And she sigh. She need to believe in herself! After all of this, be afraid by a... "Simple" fire? She can't accept!
- He his right! We need to protect our family! We can't give up now. Osprey trust ous, we can do it easly! Alya is with ous after all!
And she smile again to the other horses before turn her head to the fire. They must fight it now!
(I'm so sorry to be late! If you don't understand something in my english please tell me in the skype chat of the group! ;3; )

Whirlwind - Seroran Fleetfoot
Whirlwind tipped his head to the side to glance at Crescent, his expression softening slightly. Not much, but just enough. If someone were to falter now, that could cause problems across the whole group. His ears twitched and one turned forwards, and he trotted up the slope just ahead of her to gaze down at the scene ahead of them. The red mass of flames was more than he had expected for even a second. His muscles grew rigid, bulging in his hindquarters as his instincts screamed at him to run the other way. Bold as he was, this was even a bit much for him. "Oh, it's bad alright." he sighed through his nose, then looked back up at Roland, who wasn't too terribly far from him by now. He was silent for a few moments, giving his active mind a chance to register exactly what he had said before responding. "I agree with you. I'm sure we can handle it. There's always a way." He sent a mental prayer up to Alya, hoping that she just may be listening. Who was he to be so optimistic though? Then again he supposed that if they were going to succeed, they couldn't be hopeless before they even tried.

| Katarina Iron Hoof WC: 350 // Post #3 |
A lace of fear brushed through her as she crested the horizon, just behind a few of the others who had rushed ahead to see how large the fire actually was. The fire loomed, a wild beast untamed. It roared and spit embers into the sky and the smoke was blocking the sun most admirably.
The fire was a living thing, devouring everything in it's path leaving only scorched remains behind. There was no way they were going to be able to control this fire, not without a lot of hooves to help and lots of water. Too bad we don't have any water blessed equines out here, she thought, contemplating.
That's when it hit her. Water. What has lots of water in the desert? Kat racked her brain for things that had lots of water. Waterhole, river, lake, ocean. None were in the vicinity however.
"God damn it." She said out loud, pinning her ears back in frustration.
She turned to the others, "Okay, it's time to get down and dirty. Start kicking the sand over the smaller fires. We don't want this to spread. Roland, we'er going to try to find some source of water that we might be able to use."
She looked to the group of equine in front of her, spotting one that looked more capable than the others. She was a red roan unicorn, a large white splash adorning her front legs and chest. "You, your in charge until I get back. If anyone gets hurt, pull them out. We don't need to lose able hooves today."
She nodded to Roland, opening her wings and jumped into the air, her powerful wings lifting her into the sky with only a few beats. She was unique in that aspect. Her training allowed her to jump right into the sky like a bird. Most pegasi needed a running start to take off from the ground.
Kat didn't need to check and see if Roland followed. Just like her sense of duty, Roland she had learned, had similar aspects though maybe not as strongly as her own.

Roland You say I dream too big; I say you dream too small. ✯✫✯
His heart leapt in his throat as they came over the rise to come face to face with none other than a blazing fire. He could feel it's heat against his face, the smoke filled his lungs. The fire's light danced off his roan coat, sparkling his light green eyes. The fire itself was like it was alive; roaring and tearing through everything in its path. Roland had seen a lot of fires in his life, but never one this large. If they were even going to attempt to put it out, they needed water, and a lot of it.
His ears flicked as it seemed that Katarina had read his mind; ordering him to help her search for water. If this wasnt such a dangerous situation, he would have made some playful, teasing remark about telling him what to do. He would have taken to the sky himself and figured it out himself; but.. this was a dangerous situation.
With a brisk nod, the stallion pulled his goggles over his eyes and spread his large wings out beside him. His wing-span was impressive for a stallion his size; certainly larger than he needed it to be. The heavy tattoos that covered the thick leather stretched as his wings did, showing his nationality with a large Zesla on the underside of each wing.
As Katarina took to the sky, Roland followed suit, taking a few steps and leaping into the air with a few large beats of his massive wings. The wind caught his winds as they climbed higher, making it so his beats were less common and he glided easily. His messy mane and tail was tugged by the wind, his short, scruffy beard tickling his chin. On a normal day, he would be playing with his flight. He loved large loops and rolls in the air. In fact, he was itching to do it now, but no, he had to focused.
He trained his eyes to the ground below them, scanning the soft sand slowly. His brow suddenly furrowed, curiosity sparkling in his gaze as he turned to Kat.
"Uhm.. even if we do find water.. how are we going to get it there?" He asked, his thick voice shouting over the howling sound of wind in his ears.

Crescent Fallabor
Seroran Fleetfoot
Crescent's ears lay flat against her head as she listened to Whirlwind. She drew in a deep breath, munching on her lip as the hill crested above her. Strong legs propelled her up the slope, and to the horror before her.
Her mouth dropped open, silver eyes widened as her fluttering heart began to gallop faster in her chest. Her mood had taken a complete turn-around, from her normal cheerful innocence, to an anxiety ridden young mare. Crescent huffed, dragging in a deep breath. She ended up coughing a bit as smoke drifted into her lungs, before her ears turned towards Katarina. Her expression hardened as much as it could, nodding solemnly. Kicking dirt. She could do that. Crescent set off down the slope, hopping her way down, before she crabstepped her way away from the fire as it raged close to her.
Come on Cres! Be strong! The little mare snorted, stamping the ground and tossing her head back, throwing her forelock out of her eyes. Kicking dirt. Didn't sound too hard. She kicked out with her front hooves, sending dirt flying in all directions. But hey, she was trying

Aragon | Screamer | Seroran
A soft gasp came from Aragon as she looked at the fire, from where she stood on the crest, that was consuming their precious land, as it it were gasoline. She looked to the Pegasus as she took it all in. The surprise and horror on her face did not help Ari calm down. When the mare started to give orders Aragon tore her eyes away from the aggressively progressing fire to look at Katrina. As she heard the mare's words her face changed, from horrified to serious, a soldiers look. "I won't let you down Katarina." She promised the Pegasus mare before watching her and Roland take off for what Aragon hoped was enough water to quench Ignacio's thirst. She then returned her full attention to the fire. The young Arabian a war cry loose from her throat before galloping off. She took a drink of the clean air around herself and smiled, like a viper would when it found its prey. 'Oh yes, the wind will be on outside today.' She thought. Suddenly the wind was there pushing the smoke above the battalion's heads, acting as a force field. Then the wind circled her long slender legs till it looked as if Aragon was wearing tornadoes. Then she jumped. The wind propelled her upwards, pushing her higher, and higher, into the sky until she could look down and see the whole group. Then she fell. Ari landed next to the fire and began to slowly take the oxygen from it, attempting to cut its supply to air off slowly. Word Count: 262 | Post 3

Ra | Medicine Horse
An eyebrow shot itself up in wonder, and then fell as a gasp slipped past her lips. The flames were so intense and strong, and the smell that radiated from them was enough to make her choke. Steeling herself for whatever orders were given to her, she let her eyes- the color of the water they so desperately needed right now- lock on the flames, looking for the best spot to begin trying to stamp out these devious flickers.
"Just be careful," Her years of being a medicine horse were starting to rise as she glanced up towards the sky, watching with knitted eyebrows as the pegasi flew up to Alya knows where, "If you get hurt, let me know. I'll do whatever I can to help," She glanced towards the few that were still on the ground with her. Almost feeling her heart leap out of her chest as she watched a few flames get too close for her comfort. It was like the fire had a mind of it's own. Swishing and flickering in whatever way it pleased as if it knew that there was no one to stop it from continuing it's rampage through the desert. So careless and dangerous, she thought, stomping her hooves down into the sand as she watched the dirt pile on top of the flames, and easily put out what little it had splashed out.
Feeling a flicker of flame touch her back leg, a small yelp let past her lips and then she was gone in a flash- her body seemed to evaporate into thin air before she reappeared, somewhere a little less over crowded with the flames. Letting her feet get use to the sensation of being back on the ground again, she mentally face palmed herself as she went back to work stomping out the glowing red. Get it together, Ra. Now is not the time to vanish, Successfully taking out another teeny tiny part, she was on to the next. All the while, glancing over her shoulder to check on her comrades, making sure none had fallen prey to the flames just yet.

I survived because the fire in me burns more intensely than the fire around me.
At least, everyone found they motivation! This was good to see, but serious things start just now. The two pegasi fly away and leave the commandment to the unicorn. She don't think it was the best idea. Run close to the fire is going to be extremely dangerous, for only stop the smaller fire? This is not the best idea, because even if they do it, the big fire still advance and like this, one of them can be surrended by the fire and then... No, she can't think about it and must trust the judgment of the black pegasi, she know what she is doing after all! The chimera mare sigh and look at the fire a bit more. The smell of the smoke irritate her nose and make her have some unpleasant chills, but she try to ignore it and focus in what she need to do.
With 3 legs, she can't really bury the fire with sand. Luckily, Ahiha told some ways to stop the fire before Xer go. Water, Earth, Wind and even the fire himself can stop the fire. Before she goface directly the fire, the mare try to found a bush big enought to can be useful. When she found it, she break it with her telekinesis and use the same way to transport it. Then, she go face the fire. She use the broken brush to "hit" the fire and this way turn it off. She always try to not stay too far from the other horses and also try to always see one of them... And what Surrounded her, but also the other horses close to her. Even with a wind not too violent, the fire can still surround one or more of them and give to way to escape. Some ashes fall on her dark/light coat give it some grey taks. She have some difficulty to breathe and this forced the mare to get away a few times from the brazier before she come again.
Ash and sand are now mixed and turn the landscape even more desolate. Even with the small group efforts, she have the impression the fire come even more closer to them. What can they do whitout water against it? "Oh Alya, help ous!"

Whirlwind - Seroran Fleetfoot
Flames, flames sky high and sucking away whatever life there was left in this desert, was what they had to deal with now. He nodded to Katarina's words, though he begrudgingly wondered what on Hireath kicking dust over small fires would do to help be rid of the one raging before them. His blue eyes glistened nervously, and he did his best to steel himself for whatever was to come. Ra's words at least helped to at least assure him that none of them were here without someone who could help them, should worse come to worst. Almost at once, he split up with someone else, taking his turn to attempt to kick sand over whatever flames he could, stomping on them and cringing as the heat seared his front and hind legs. He could feel the stinging heat all over his whole body, in fact, sweat already welling up along his neck and shoulders.
What did they have to solve this problem? Well, he thought as he recalled what he had just seen Aragon do. We have more than I was initially aware of. Of course he tended to keep to himself. He didn't know all of his herd members as much as he would have liked. They were familiar, yes, and he was sure he'd spoken to some of them at least at some point in time, but he couldn't recall specifics. He cursed Ignacio under his breath as he worked, sure that this had to have been the work of him and him alone. That was the only logical cause of this.

The wind in her wings, the howl of the rushing air, this is what she loved. Too bad I'm unable to enjoy it. Kat glanced over at Roland who was scanning the ground for the hint of water. "Uhm.. even if we do find water.. how are we going to get it there?" Roland yelled, interuptting Kat from her search.
She hadn't thought that through all the way, but what were they supposed to do? The fire wasn't going to go out by itself, not without help from Kat and her group. They will have to figure it out when they found the water.
"I'll think of something." Kat shouted back, continuing to scan the ground. A flash of something in the corner her eye caused Kat to turn her head, but no water revealed itself to her. Another flash, and Kat swore her eyes were playing tricks on her. Until she glanced up to look at Roland.
They were flying straight towards a storm, lighting flashing but no thunder to be heard over the screaming wind. A storm... A Storm! That's what they needed! A storm meant thunderbirds, which mean't that they could literally move the water to where they needed it.
It was going the wrong way though, not towards the fire, but perpendicular to it. The group needed to know, be prepared for the fight that may be to come.
"Roland! We need to divert that storm!" Kat yelled, hoping that he heard her. "I'll go back to the group and tell them to get ready, you keep an eye on it. Don't lose the only hope we have."
Before he could reply, Kat folded her wings and dived, her ears popping from the sudden change in elevation. She leveled out once she was only 100 feet from the ground, speeding back to the group. No wonder they didn't see the storm on the way to the fire. The smoke tunnel into the sky blocked the dark clouds of rain from view.
She made it back to the group, relieved to find that they were all there and none were injured.
"We found what we needed to put this fire out, but we need help. It's a storm, on the other side of this fire, most likely lead by thunderbirds. It's going the wrong way though so we need to divert them this way."

Crescent Fallabor
Seroran Fleetfoot
Crescent had been trying. She had been trying so hard. But, adrenaline and anxiety made it very hard to focus on the task at hand, nearly getting herself or her long hair singed in the process. She stamped and kicked at the fire with low grunts of effort, sweat rolling down her hide from the advanced heat. She stamped again, silver eyes rolling towards the sky, a startled yelp leaving her throat when a tongue of fire nearly caught her unawares. She scrambled away, circling to the right instead, before stomping forwards again, ears pinning back.
Then she spotted Katarina and almost started crying with relief. But, her words are what stopped the little mare in her tracks.
Thunderbirds.
She had heard stories of the creatures, mostly from Aurum, who made them sound exceptionally horrid. And, according to her sister, they would also be aggressive. Which would probably mean a fight.
Dad was gonna have her hide when she got home.
Crescent gulped, squaring her shoulders as her tail lashed. She could do this. She needed to do this. She turned her attention towards the pegasus before her, awaiting further instructions

Ra | Medicine Horse
Oh, by the gods. Could this get any worse? First fire, and now she had to deal with Thunderbirds?
She audibly groaned at the thought of having to deal with those strange creatures. The idea of adding those blasted Thunderbirds to this situation was something that made her skin crawl and her breath get caught in her throat. But it was true- Thunderbirds often promised rain, and truly at this very moment, they needed drops to pour down on them with wanton abandon. But there was simply no use for them to keep trying to stomp out the growing flames for it seemed with every small patch they put out that another was beginning to burst up into a twisting spiral of reds and orange. They couldn't make it like this for much longer, so maybe those damned birds were a god given gift from Alya.
Watching the smoke make its way through the sky, her eyes dart from Katarina to the black columns that were growing bigger and bigger by the minute. Almost beginning to pace frantically as she stomped a few stray flames out, distracting herself in any way possible from the inevitable that was diverting those giant creatures this way.
Steele yourself. Now is not the time to run away in fear. Quickly coming to a halt, the mare tilted her head in an up and down movement, signaling to the mare above them that she had heard her instructions and was prepared for the worst.

I survived because the fire in me burns more intensely than the fire around me.
No. Alone, they can't fight it. It's too big, too dangerous, too unpredictable. How can they fight against a so big thing alone? Sometimes, the fire look like if it was alive. Like if he dance all around them, like if it play with the horses, and like if he try to eat them all alive. He was like the most dangerous beast of all. The one who kill because he lobe that, the one who play with they preys because he have fun, the one no one cn trully control. You can try, but the chances he bite you in the end are hight. In the middle of the fire and the smoke, all try to fight the beast in they own way, but nothing do to, the beast fight back, the fire turn bigger, and te danger around them turn even more big. Run away can be a good idea to not be hurt, but the fire can come faster into the oasis and kill innocent people inside. They can't run, and they must fight against something invincible. In the middle of fire and smoke, the black and red pegasi come from the sky and put her feets in the sand. All horses run join the mare and ear what she have found.
- We found what we needed to put this fire out, but we need help. It's a storm, on the other side of this fire, most likely lead by thunderbirds. It's going the wrong way though so we need to divert them this way.
Thunderbirds. If some of the horses look horrified by this news, Xer show a big smile full of new hope. Alya hear they prayers and come help them! If they are in the Oasis, Thunderbirds are a bad news, for sure, but here, in this moment, in the middle of the fire, it's maybe the best news they could ever hope! She come closer to Katarina, head hight, and still with her small smile, even if off course, she was serious.
- Do you have a plan?
This is going to be dangerous, but now everything look possible! They just need a good plan, a plan to make everyone safe, to bring everyone alive at home. She know this is possible, this must be possible. And they must do it fast, bring the birds here and save everyone from the giant beast that dance around them. Asking to the horses to join him and make them all disappear like if they have never exist....

Roland You say I dream too big; I say you dream too small. ✯✫✯
A sudden flash of lightning before them snapped the painted stallion out of his thoughts, his eyes widening and ears turning toward the source. He could feel the thunder rumble through his bones, but he could not hear it. The wind was too strong. His gaze followed where the flash had come from, his eyes narrowing as he noticed something flying out in the distance. A lot of somethings. Thunderbirds.
His heart seemed to skip a beat at the sight, his ear flicking in Katarina's direction as she called to him, but he didnt have time to reply. She was already diving toward the group.
The stallion pulled himself to a stop in the air, beating his wings hard against the wind in order to keep himself in a hover. His mind spun as he tried to think of a way to get the thunderbirds over the fire without killing himself. However.. he seemed to be drawing a blank. It seemed that he would have to risk it. Taking a deep breath, the stallion narrowed his grey green eyes, his brow furrowed low. It was now or never; all or nothing.
With sharp whistle and a whooping call, the mustang shot into gear, his wings working hard against the wind as he targeted himself straight toward the Thunderbirds, sending a quick prayer up to Alya before diving around the tumbling smoke from the fire.
"Hey! Featherbutt!" The stallion shouted as he got close enough to the birds, his wings pushing him backwards as he swiveled around to flee. He would have to fly fast to make sure to not be their next meal, but he needed to get them over that fire. The birds turned to look at him, their course changing. One of them screeched; he swore he saw another one lick his lips.
Shit.
The stallion pulled his wings together and turned course back toward the flames. Incoming, he thought, turning his gaze down to make sure his teammates were ready.

Aragon | Fleet Feet | Seroran Sweat trickled down her neck, under her thick and heavy mane. The beads of water tickled her brow under the goggles, she felt so hot, outrageously hot. Apart of her mind deviated from the task at hoof and wondered if this is what it was like to stand next to the devil god Ignacio. But she pushed on, slowly her blessing leeched the air away from the fire, taking away its food, starving it as if it were a beast. They needed a gods damned miracle. As the fire continued to singe ends of her mane and hurt her eyes, Aragon was able to step foreword as fire dissipated slowly. When she heard the beating of wings relief swelled into her heart and she looked to Katarina's graceful form landing and tucking her wings in. With an ear cocked towards her, she listened to the mare, the relief instantly leaving as she heard the word thunder birds. She tore her eyes away from the fire to look at Katarina. The Pegasus mare looked confident, assured, a brave face. Then Ari nodded to the mare, she understood, and stepped back from the fire and summoned as strong a wind as she could, urging the black mass of clouds to change directions, to come towards the small battalion and the fire. Her wind wind was strong enough to reverse any natural wind flow at the moment, to make it easier for one with wings to turn directions then continue against it. 'Alya, let this work.' She prayed as she watched the clouds, and noticed Roland zipping around in the air, coming back to the group. "..Katarina, what do we do if they decide to attack us as well?" the red mare asked, refusing to take her eyes off the swirling black mass. {Word Count: 306 | Post 4}
