Plot: The Last Card Setting: A young harrower has set up his area on the bust streets of the marketplace in Inaria. The streets and busy and music fills the area, the day is warm and welcoming. Rolplayers: Tree-Branch & Fediarwoods
Farsight || Harrower || Stallion
The young pegasi sighed softly as he set up his small area for his harrowing, he was hoping to get enough coins to allow him to get a nicer setup something more befitting of him. Farsight wasn't always petty, but he wouldn't lie, he enjoyed the finer things in life. Lush silks and plush pillows, soft warmth of the candlelight. The stallion sighed with content, though tossed his head knowing he had to focus, focus. Farsight used his wings to clear his area from the loose sand and dust allowing him a nice, somewhat clean area.
Eyes on the prize he used his telekinesis to shuffle the deck of his harrowing deck, he did it above his head allowing horses to catch mere glimpses of what lies on the cards. Farsight painted each image on the card and he was known for redoing the cards constantly, switching up the image not allowing any to see the same card more than once. he liked the enjoyment of always having something new to others. To never allow them to see a card and know exactly what it means. Keep the element of surprise in his favor. He looked out to the crowds and began to speak.
"So tell me you think they're just cards? Just pictures and words good for gambling or faking townsfolk out of a few coins? Go on and think that my friends, I don't mind. Though you see my cards know where you've been and where you're going. Wouldn't you like a chance to change fate? So stop and learn the few remaining pages of the story of your life, lets turn it into a novel worth telling, or simply don't Surely, they are just cards right?" His voice rang out clear, as he spoke he allowed a few cards to show their faces out into the crowd. He was hoping to lure some towards him, many seemed to want to stop and see what the young harrower could do for them, other looked scared and fled the area claiming this to be a gift of no good god at all.

As she made her way through the narrow streets of the not-so-busy piece of Inaria, her hooves clip-clopped on the cobblestones beneath her. Her golden gazed wandered through the street that lay ahead of her, taking in the buildings that stood on both sides. How long ago had it been, that she had last visited Inaria's beautiful streets? She couldn't even remember the last time; it probably had been months ago. Her trades weren't legal enough to take place on the marketplace in the city, and the fact she hated big crowds didn't help either. But sometimes she had to, and today was such a day.
She snorted softly as she made her way onto the market place. She tried to just blend in, but she always had a feeling as if everyone could read from her forehead that she was from the 'dangerous' Rogues. She shook her neck slightly, so her mane replaced itself and her forelock covered a little more of her head. She didn't exactly feel right into place, but she had to make her way through; one of the makers down the street had asked her to get some supplies for his stuff. He was... well... not exactly an old friend, but more of an acquaintance and he knew she was the right one to contact for certain hard-to-get stuff.
As she tried finding her way over the market place, not spending too much attention the little stalls set up at the sides of the street. Not until she heard a voice making it's way to the crowd, trying to be heard by the ones that passed his stall. She turned her ears for a moment, before her head followed and she stopped walking as she looked his way. She was a bit staggered by the flowing cards that he seemed to keep up some way or another. Something with cards? Was this one of the Harrowers she'd heard words of? She narrowed her eyes for a moment, peaking through her forelock, when she saw the horse that was actually standing behind the stall. He had a striking light coat covered in little spots and dots, and two gorgeous wings attached to the top of his shoulder. Her attention was caught and she decided to take a stop at his stall, instead of staying to stand still in the middle of the crowd. She smiled when she stopped in front of his stall, slightly shaking her head to clear the big, curly forelock from her brightly shining golden eyes. She curled the corners of her lips into a small smile. ''Cards, you say? You're one of these guys saying to be able to read the future?'' Her voice was warm and clear, a curious undertone in her voice. If so, she was curious in whatever he was thinking he could do for her.

A smile grew on his face as a friendly mare seemed to approach his area, and inquired a simple question, but in all honesty it wasn't quiet that simple. He smiled brightly to her and chuckled softly. "Yes my cards allow me to see glimpses of the future, the past and so much more. It can see future lovers, future trouble, but its all in the cards of course." he shuffled the deck once more before laying it before her and watched her carefully. "I'm called Farsight, a pretty fitting name for myself and my parents had no idea that this would even be my profession." he made light talk with her as he always enjoyed a little bit of chit chat before diving right in.
"So dare I ask for you name?" he titled his head a bit as he looked to her. He noted her color of her mane, the eye color and watched for expressions that moved across her face, anything in hopes that perhaps she would give this a whirl. He was one of the best and lately he felt as if he was honestly the only Harrower around. Either he stole all of their business.... Or something else had happened. The idea made him gulp faintly. The cards could be so cruel, could hint out all the worst in a horse show them nothing but sorry and pain that they will have to endure, but nothing is permanent, it can change and it normally does. But the cards had an sense to me and seeing it unfold before others on pictures, it seemed to make it seemed all set in stone. There was a rumor once a harrower foretold the future of a horse, and saw tragedy within the cards. It ate the horse from the inside out, till it destroyed him mentally and he leapt.
Though if someone had good character had a strong spirit, Farsight would have no worry of such things. Farsight prayed the cards would be sweet to this fair mare, the last thing he needed was to watch her go from happy to horror stricken in a matter of minutes. So Farsight had to judge ones character and he was known for even denying others if their attitude didn't seem right. He wouldn't take depressed sicken horses, afraid he'd be the one to push them over.

She couldn't help but be intrigued by the wings that covered his sides. She'd always had an obsession for the Pegasi, while others in Aquore did not appreciate them. They always reminded her of the large, white wings that were those of her mom and even though it had only been a few days or weeks she'd spend in their safety, the memory was still engraved into her mind.
Turning her ears she looked up at the cards that float above his little stall. The pictures upon them were vibrant and colorful, not like those old cards you'd always see visiting a Harrower. But maybe that had to do something with the fact that this Harrower wasn't that old either; he might be just around the same age as she was, while Passoa could only remember old, grey Harrowers selling their services to the public. She'd never seen anyone like him. When he spoke to her her golden eyes looked from the floating cards back to the speckled Pegasi that stood behind the stall, a curious glance in her warm colored eyes. ''Maybe this became your profession because your parents called you Farsight,'' she said with a soft chuckle, a playful twinkle in her eyes.
It took her a second before realizing that he'd probably been blessed with some sort of gift that made those things of him fly. She smiled and looked back at how he lay the cards down in front of her, curious to what was to see on them. She usually wasn't so fond of Harrowers - they knew much more about her than she wanted and sometimes revealed more than she'd like to see or know. But this Pegasi was different than all the Harrowers, especially since she hadn't seen one around for ages. It was as if they'd all dissapeared, or more likely, had died from old age, since they were more grey than they were young.
Her ears swiveled back forwards to him, and so did her golden gaze, as he once more spoke to her. A smirk on her face pulled the corners of her lips up into a smile. She raised her muzzle slightly, letting her forelock slip to one side of her face, a few curls excluded. ''If you dare to ask, I dare to answer,'' her voice soft and warm, a playful undertone hidden in it. Maybe this could even be fun, maybe she could scare him off with the result of the cards. But than, on another hand, maybe she would scare herself of... That was something she'd rather not yet think about.
''The name's Passoa,'' she said, as she pinned her golden eyes staring into his icey blue ones, trying to see if he was already seeing something; seeing if she could read anything from his face, or if this was just foreplay.

The young harrower couldn't help, but chuckle at her playful banter with him. He enjoyed her sharp wit, not something he normally sees while working. "Perhaps they to were blessed with a bit of clairvoyance?" He arched a brow in a playful manner. "Well Passoa it is a pleasure to meet you." he dipped his head respectfully to her. Farsight in all honesty tried his best to be polite to wow many with this way of words and gifts. Not many pegasi were welcomed here within the herd. Though it was an honor to be sacrificed to the goddess Cascade, but his faith in her was wavering. Farsight merely wanted to be accepted as an equal, but how could he if his kind wasn't even welcomed in every part of this land? None the less Farsight let such thoughts and pondering go. Now was not the time for just things.
"Well Passoa" he remarked, saying her name gently as if afraid to say it to strongly. He enjoyed how her name flowed easily from his tongue. "Want to see what fate has in store for you? Or perhaps see if love is near?" Tilting his head he smiled all the more, as these were the usual things that most horses wanted to know. Farsight of course was curious himself what was in store for him, little did he know his fate was already set in stone. Though it was dark magic for him to dabble in the affairs of the cards for his own sake. It was a code of Harrowers to never allow themselves to ask the cards what was in store for themselves. It never ended well.
Farsight shuffled the deck once more before setting them down before her, all the cards face down showing only the backs of the cards that seemed hand painted with constellations of the night sky. He looked to her and smile. "Once you have decided, please show me the three cards that seem to be calling out to you. Always go with your gut choice and do not question it." he remarked as he waited for her patiently, he never minded the wait, especially with such a view before him. Dark and waves of locks, surely she had others begging to court such a fair thing.

She grinned in content when he stepped in onto her words. ''Clear to see where you got it from, than,'' she smirked jokingly, swiveling her ears around, constantly keeping on watch for her surroundings. She was aware of the horses that passed by, even though she couldn't call them by names, and she knew exactly where the Guards usually took place. There usually weren't that much around on the market place, since the borders were a much bigger issue in their line of work. That she had encountered endless amounts of time, so much even that it became a game; much similar to the game a cat played with a mouse.
She politely slightly dipped her head for a second returning his 'nice to meet you' with a playful twinkle in her golden eyes. She tried to observe his behavior, tried to find out if his claim to be able to see into one's future was honest, or if it was just a piece of theater he was setting up in his little stall on the side of the market place. She'd seen harrowers in the future -never to see into her own future though- and some of them had the nasty habit to just make it an act of lies, instead of having and using one's ability to truly see the future. From what she could see he was honest; or at least partly so. But they were to came out pretty soon, because her life he could probably not make up. Or he had to be really good.
A smile curled her lips, her golden eyes fixating upon him and his light blue ones. It probably wouldn't be something good - how ever could it be? She'd chosen the path herself and even though there lingered doubt in the back of her mind, she saw no way back into regular life. Once a criminal, always a criminal, is what she'd heard them said. The other word he spoke out, though, pondered a little longer in the inside of her head. She couldn't see the possibility one could came to love her. There were a few that always wandered after her, trying to woo her and make her theirs, but if she would ever end up -and that was a big if- home with someone, than it would definitely be not with them. Not in a million years. She teaming up with one of those nasty figures on the black market was no way to go, and the ones that didn't belong on the black market, well, how could they ever see more in her than just a night well spend?
She shook the thoughts away, knowing she would come to find out soon enough. And when she did, she could always ponder over the results. And wasn't it so that everything they saw wasn't set in stone? She snorted softly, focussing her thoughts back to the Pegasi in front of her and the cards he shuffled up above his head. ''I'm curious to see what fate's got in store for me,'' she said, slightly lifting up her dark muzzle, a smile drawn upon her small framed head. She let her golden eyes wander down to the cards upon the table, thinking for a second before deciding on three. With her muzzle she pin pointed out the most right card, two left from that one and one that laid completely on the other side. ''This, this and... this one. And now just hope Cascade'll be good to me,'' she said jokingly. From all Gods, Cascade would probably be the least good to her and she damn well knew it.

Cascade. The sound of her voice almost made him feel a bit bitter towards this goddess who seemed him damnable to be a pegasi to plague the Talori's good name. Though he grew accustom and continued to pray to her, even if it fell on deaf ears. He felt not validation to this goddess a goddess that allowed him at such a young age to be plagued with thoughts of wanting to be any species but himself. He recalled when he was starting to pull out feathers from his wing... He paused letting out a deep breath, remember he was here, he was alive, and damn them all he would earn all of their attention he would wow them all. "Alright lets get started." he offered her a charming smile.
He used his telekinesis to flip over the card, and it was than he frowned a bit, and looked to Passoa with an almost sympathetic look. "A Unicorn." surely that meant something good? But of course the angle was all wrong, the unicorn was placed upside down instead of rightside up. "Well the card is upside down..." he paused to look at her and smile a bit. "You were betrayed, a false friend. You remain in a way good to yourself, but the damage that has happened has already been done. Still a unicorn still hope, one day, that pain won't hurt as much, and scars will fade as well as memories, As long as you let it of course this is only the cards speaking through me." He looked to her as this was indeed a rough card to handle.
He remembered times when this card showed up and horses before him would fall into a crumbling mess, but they weren't as hopeless as they looked. Gods knew they were strong enough to with stand the pain, it was merely just a test surely? But there was always hope, even pain goes away, harmful experiences pass, sure one my still recall upon them, but hopefully it would't unravel them like it had before. Farsight was a bit anxious as he looked to her watching her reaction to this card. "Want to continue?" he ahd to always ask this question, to allow someone to back out, but once the second card was played, well there was never a chance to go back. The cards played out to build up to the grand future and this one was already having a rough start.

She was curious to see what he had in store for her. If he was just another one of those swindlers, or if he really had a gift he used to his advantage. He could shuffle his cards in the air, hold them their with probably his thoughts as his only instrument. It could very well be that he had been gifted with another blessing as well that let him indeed see into the feature. She didn't know, nor could she read it from his features; she'd been always wrong with guessing these things. Only thing she knew was that it probably would came in pretty handy for him if he did had something like that to use for his harrowing.
Her eyes were fixated on the card when he turned it. It was painted beautifully; a unicorn drawn upon it with bright, vibrant colors, hand drawn if she'd seen it right. She looked back up at him when he began to speak, a faint smile upon his muzzle. No good news, she thought to herself. And indeed it wasn't. She turned her ears around before laying them back for a moment. She couldn't say she liked what the cards said, especially since they were damn right about what they told him, but it was something that was pretty familiar to her. The cards were right: she'd been betrayed, more than once. It wasn't the brightest part of her past, but it was a part of it. Maybe the future was brighter for her, but that she could only hope.
She glanced at him for a moment, doubting if he might've seen her before, if he knew more of her than she thought he did. Maybe he was playing her, maybe he knew what her past had been, and was all he wanted to do was set her off. But that she couldn't believe. He seemed like an honest equine; his eyes held nothing but curiosity and friendliness. There was no cruel mind in there, or a wicked one that liked to hurt others. Maybe he was just doing his job.
Knowing she couldn't blame him for what the card revealed to him, she faintly smiled back at him, shrugging her shoulders slightly. There was some glance lingering in her golden eyes though that spoke more than her words did. She hated that part of her past with the deepest passion her heart. ''Well, that's nothing new,'' she said as she looked back down at the card that laid with it's hand painted drawing up to the sky. It felt like the unicorn upon it stared back at her. ''Let's say the past could've been a bit brighter,'' that faint smile still painted upon her face, she spoke out the words as her golden eyes wandered back up to his blue ones. One little card couldn't bring her down. She already knew she wasn't in the favor of whatever God that looked down upon her.
She seemed to shake off the bit of angry feeling that washed over her for a second, and turned her ears back towards him when he asked her if she wanted to continue. Of course she wanted to do so - they were just getting started. She slightly nodded, her curls softly banging with the movement her head made. ''Of course,'' she said, as if it was a intelligible; she never was the one who could stop mid-game; never been good at it at all. She nodded with her dark muzzle against the second card. ''Let's show me,'' she said, a glance in her golden eyes. She was curious to what fate was holding for her.

Eyes followed her facial movement, studying each way she said a word, wondering what truly had happened in her past, but he had no idea, but it seemed his cards knew all to well. She spoke on continuing and Farsight wondered if he should? Would this be the right move? Cards could be nasty for no reason and that last thing he wanted was to cause more sorrow in her life, more then it seemed she has already dealt with. He smiled reassuringly and looked to her and nodded. "Well lets see what the cards have next for you." he remarked. Eyes looked to the second card and with his telekinesis he flipped it over. "The Paladin."
Farsight smiled with this card even though it wasn't aligned right it still didn't speak terribly. "The Paladin, a strong and noble kind, though in your case one with a good heart at least. The path you have choosen for yourself will never be ease, but you heart will never fool you." he smiled to her all the more, so this may not be the most optimistic of ones, but it spoke well of characters. Farsight looked at the cared once more narrowing his eyes as if reading further signs it. He noted the simple painting on it, a mare defending stallions. Some called this card ridiculous mares defenders of stallions, but Farsight believed in the miracles of equines. Where those that saw some as underdogs would rise. Perhaps in a way his cards spoke more of him then he ever realized.
His eyes looked to her once more studying her as if the cards has whispered something that only he could hear. "I'd suggest taking a new path, something that would suit your heart and soul. I am not saying the path you are on now wouldn't be worth it, I just feel there is something better out there for you." he remarked looking to her all the more, he has never seen this mare, but when the cards started to speak, he was always haunted with the sense of familiarity. Farsight smiled cheerfully to her and waited for her to think it over to respond or perhaps leave it all completely.

She could feel that he was closely watching her. Her way of talking, her facial expressions, her body language. Was that the way he read the future? Did he just read people instead? Or was it a way of saving his own? She watched his features for a moment; his pink muzzle that spoke to her, his sky blue eyes; the way his mane was tied up to a knot on his head. He was a strange appearance, that was for sure, but he was a nice one to look at. And he was kind; that was something you would not always find in the streets of Inaria; especially when you yourself wasn't a 'worthy equine'.
As he spoke of the cards once more, her gaze wandered back to the stand and the cards that lied in front of her. Again she noticed how beautifully drawn the card was, all drawn by hand, or at least it looked like it was done so. He was a special one at that, putting in the effort to let those cards not only speak to him, but also to the ones asking for their future to be read. She never thought she would be the one ending up at a Harrower's stand, but something about this stallion was appealing to her. Maybe it were his wings. She'd always had a weakness for wings.
She swiveled her ears around, before returning one of them back forward towards him. She listened carefully to him as he spoke; very interested by what he had to say about the card that was just turned before her. When he did so, she felt a tingle in her gut. How... She was intrigued, to say the very least. She looked from him to the vibrant painting on the card and back to him and his sky blue eyes again. Was it a good thing, this card? She couldn't really say. It awoke a spark of doubt in her insides, a spark that'd been there from the very beginning. Was she doing the right thing? Was it her path to take? She'd always felt like she had no choice, as if she was born to be doomed to the Isles of the Death. She'd never felt at home there. It had always been the peacefulness of nature that made her feel in balance, that made her feel not undesired by the ones around her.
For once her feelings were fooling with her. He seemed to have caught her off guard, have made her go out of balance. She felt in disarray by him telling something so truthful and the fact that it made a lingering doubt that had been there for so long grow even stronger. It didn't make her feel comfortable at all.
She peeled her eyes for a moment, looking back at him as he spoke out once more. She felt a hostility towards him, for he was the one to make her feel fragile, made her feel weak. It made her leery and she for a moment turned her ears backwards. It was as if her face darkened for a moment; her beautiful golden eyes seeming more piercing than they'd done before. In her gut she felt she could trust him, but now that she felt like he'd just revealed one of her biggest insecurities... it was like he had betrayed her.
But was it fair to pin point him down on truth he spoke? She snorted, clearly frustrated. ''I wish it was that easy.'' There it was; the fragility she felt inside, coming out through the tones of her warm voice. She felt like he'd just put her down in the labyrinth that was now her mind. Maybe it was slight panic she felt for loosing the control she wanted to always have in her own hands. ''You're not fooling with me, are you?'' she said, as she tilted her head up, lifting her dark muzzle slightly higher. She wanted to not look fragile, but now all she was doing was compensating. She snorted again, her nostrils slightly widened. ''I thought it was true love you would be telling me about,'' she said sarcastic, flicking her long, curly tail against her flank.

He softly exhaled, how long had he been holding his breath? He didnt recall, he was to busy watching her. Watching her movement, how she took the card, hos she looked to him when he spoke. He was watching it all, and he felt a sudden panic rise in his throat. Why did this feel wrong... Why did this feel like this bond would break before them. Perhaps it was because they way she seemed to change before his eyes, how her words seemed to hold a darkness within them, or so he believed. He listened to her as he spoke and offered a smile. He was in a bit insulted, but he had grown used to these accusations, all believed he was a spy someone creep that lurked about and watched and heard gossip and tidbits. None believed that maybe he really could do something of the sort.
He chuckled a bit as she spoke of true love, "Well there is still a chance it can be there, we still have one more card." he spoke wiggling his brow, he tried to lighten the moment. He wanted her to smile, to not seem so like this. He enjoyed her company her swift way with words, the last thing he wanted was to ruin the ties before they had a chance. He enjoyed company, but this occupation his job, well it had a way to make it or break it with other equine. It was normally break it. Eyes looked to the last the card and he turned it over with out a moment to spare, though inside he was boiling with anxiety. The last card. This card had always been the wow to get everyone's attention, the end game for all Harrowers, but not everything is set ins tone, choices change the world, and their choices can change the future.
The card flipped over. The Mute Hag. Farsight looked to it and looked at the card, a withered looking horse was in the back of a foggy land, The horse's head was lifted up and looked to be as if screaming into the void. It was clear to see this card did not come with romance or sweet times. It clearly showed the hardships ahead. Farsight swallowed and spoke. "The Mute Hag. A card the seems to fit well with what we have seen so far. You have choices to make and one in the future well it would be harder then most choices. It will not only affect you, but others as well. It's the kind where all will turn their backs on each other. Mother Against sister, father against son. A choice you will have to make can cause but a ripple. Yet this choice comes with a heavy cost, a heavy cost of where your loyalties lie, and what you believe in. The kind that can leave you awake at night and eat you up inside. There is no right or wrong to answer this choice. There is merely which one could you live with better." he looked to her. Sympathy was over whelming, this mare her life was hard and it seemed fate had a way of wanting to break the backs of those with troubled souls.
Farsight had to say something, anything to calm her or maybe just himself. "Well we all have those times right a choice in which one we can live with. I know I have, but remember we can always change fate, nothing is set in stone, what you do today, could change everything I have said." Farsight always said that, he didnt want to shatter every horse that got grave news, but most of the time regardless of choices, his cards played out whether they saw it or not. It seemed the cards knew and though the spoke more in riddles, being vague with what they were showing. Well the cards know, a little to much.

She tried to stay calm, she really did. She tried to not blame him for what he told her, but it was hard to stay calm when hearing things she didn't want to hear at all. Don't shoot the messenger, she thought to herself, as she bit her lip for a moment. The look on his face was doubtful, a bit nervous and she could clearly read the pity from his sky blue eyes. Oh, how she hated the pity. She snorted, converting her golden eyes to something random on the stand in front of them, since she didn't want him to read anything from her small framed face, until she felt like she had everything under control again. This is why she hated Harrowers so much, since they always brought bad news, and bad news only. But could she blame them? She felt like she'd been cursed the very first minute she'd walked this earth and that no matter how hard she fought it, she could not live around it. Maybe it was just inevitable...
Her slightly curly, fuzzy ears lied back she looked up to him from under her thick curls when she heard his voice once more. It was as if in the back of her mind she was trying to decide whether to get mad at him or not and it spoke through in her eyes. She faintly smiled when he tried to lift up the spirits with his words, wiggling his brow when he did so. Maybe he wasn't so bad, was what she thought, swiveling her ears forward for a moment. Until he flipped over the next card.
Following his gaze with her eyes, watching the third card that lied now front up. She didn't have to be a professional to see that that card was maybe even more trouble than the other two; a foggy card, one with one single horse drawn upon it, screaming in -what seemed- dismay. She turned her ears back towards her neck again, a glance of hurt in her eyes. She was so done with him now. Was an Harrower not something that had to at least slightly something to do with magic. Couldn't he just flip the right cards, instead of only the ones filled with despair? She would rather be fooled, than be told the harsh truth like he'd done.
And than again there was this stupid feeling that she couldn't blame him, but it was drowned underneath everything else that was going on in her mind right now. He could say it were choices she could make, but it was it, really? Once in the job, you couldn't, or wouldn't, get out.
''Some things are set in stone,'' she said with an intensity to her voice, the strength she had getting through in it. She might be a lost soul, but she wasn't a weak one. She'd never been. ''How can you say I can still change my future, when even your cards speak of despair only?'' She snorted in frustration, gazing in the distance for a moment, where other horses walked by, some happily talking with each other, others bossing around their slaves or doing legal trade. She looked back at him. It fed her anger. ''But it was nice to meet you,'' she said, a sarcasm to her voice. It was a bad idea to come to Inaria, just like it always was.

Guilt rose in his throat like that of an acidic stomach threatening to pour out of his mouth like all his words have. He swallowed it all down and he could only look at her. He watched every word fall from her lips, how each word was a cold slap in his face. It only made him wish she would say more grave things to him, make him regret looking at this cards. He never wanted to tell bad news, gods he wanted to brighten up someones life, yet how did he manage this? How did he always make a muck of things. Brows arched downwards as he looked to her. "Everything is constantly changing. Yes I can see the bigger things that are more bound to happen, but does that mean its sealed? Never. There are things that will happen that I may never see a glimpse of. Surely your life right now has not been a complete shamble. There are good moments, but they have to be taken with the bad."
He let out a soft sigh as he looked to her a bit more sadly now. "It was a pleasure to meet you as well." he remarked feeling defeated already. Ears flickering back to his skull as he looked elsewhere. "Well I've done enough harm for one day, so I guess its time to set things back to balance?" he remarked offering a small smile to her. He used his telekinesis and picked up the cards and shuffled them before putting them back in his little bag he kept tucked under his wing. "Im never the type to let things stay sour, so how about this? My treat on something sweet?" he arched a brow smiling brightly now. His stomach letting out a faint growl. "Well if you want that is. I figured this all may start out bad, but who says our meeting has to be the same? Things are of course always changing." he chuckled a bit as he awaited her reply. Sure she can shoot him down, her choice. Or she could agree and get a free sweet treat. Surely the odds were in his favor, but then again who knows? He had a knack for making a muck of things.

She was frustrated. Irritated - maybe even a bit hurt. Why would he want to be a Harrower if all he did was create a future of dismay for others? Or was it just her and her cursed future and was it normally happiness he told about? The thought only made her mood worse and she couldn't help but lay her fuzzy ears flat against her neck - hiding in her bunch of curls. Somewhere she felt jealousy against the stallion. He had a normal life, a simple life, one that you did not have to check your back every few seconds. A life in Aquore, instead of a life in the outskirts. She had chosen for it, sure she did, but the doubt was bigger than it had ever been.
''Out of all three not one card spoke of something bright, how big are those chances anyway than?'' she murmured between her breath as she rolled her golden eyes around and looked back at him as he spoke up once more. Realizing her eyes could be read with more emotion than she wanted, she quickly blinked a few times and looked away from him. She could hear his words, but only a few of them really reached her. Not a complete shamble? Good moments? Her thoughts shifted and for a moment she thought back at that one night at the sea. Oh, how it had stormed, but how lucky she had been with faith dropping her at his front door. She'd never felt anything like it, and thinking back about it, thinking back about him, made her belly flutter again. She softly snorted, a slight, faint smile drawn upon her dark muzzle for just a second. Maybe there were some good things waiting for her... but than again, how could it with those cards?
She looked back up at him as he spoke up once more. just as she was about to leave. She frowned slightly, looking at his sky blue eyes. Back into balance? What, he wanted to fix her? She didn't understand quite what he mend with that, but he continued with talking before she could ask. The doubt could be read from her golden eyes for a moment as she thought of her answer. She bit her lip for a second, but as she felt her stomach grumbling by the thought of a sweet treasure, a small smile curled up the corners of her lips. ''Well, I can't shoot down something sweet,'' she admitted as her golden eyes found his once more. ''If you promise me, even though you may see it, you won't tell me those crappy pieces of my future anymore.'' Her words were serious, and so was her face for a moment, but than a smile slipped back upon her dark muzzle as she caught the bright expression on his face.

He watched her as she became frustrated with him, and he of course could not blame her one bit. Ears flickered back to her skull as she spoke of none of the cards having anything good to say, though he didnt look awya from her eyes. He waited a second then spoke calmly to her. "Yes my cards can speak of things that may not seem positive, but things change, like tides and waves, we can all change the flow of everything. Your choices, horses you meet, can change you, shape you into something better. But there is always going to be hardships in life. Nothing will ever come easy, no one will always have sunshine. But do not think you life is destined for nothing good. Good things are there, if you choose to see them." he smiled to her, hoping perhaps his words would allow her to settle a bit. Or at least make her think about things once more.
Farsight almost sighed with relief as she accepted his offer, though paused as she turned to look at him and spoke with a serious tone, though when her smile broke the tension he couldn't help, but chuckle. "Alright I promise you there. Though if I see something good, I'll hint at it." he flashed her a wink he ruffled his wings a bit. Nostrils flared gently as he smelled the air, smelling the goods that were being sold out on the streets. "Ahh yes you'll have to try my favorite place. She is quite elderly horse, but sells fresh cut fruit, and drizzles this sweet sauce over it, always served in a leaf bowl!" he remarked. Moving forwards he stood beside Passoa. "That sound alright with you?" he smiled brightly to her. Farsight took a few steps forwards and eyed her curiously, though a smile always still on his face.

You just have to look for it. Those words she'd heard before - maybe it was time she'd started listening to them. She smiled faintly as her golden orbs stared into his blue ones. Eyes were the door to someone's soul, she'd once been told, and since than she really seemed to have a thing for them. His were beautiful - blue like the sky with a certain calmness in them, a certain peace that reminded her of one of the clear, shallow lakes you could find in the jungle. One you could see your reflection in, looking back up at you.
And that was exactly what he did. He put a mirror in front of you, made you look at yourself and think of the things you've done, or are about to do, which is probably what makes others so edgy. She flared her nostrils, looking away for a short few seconds. Maybe that was what hurt her so much - that he and his words were so damn right.
Her golden eyes found his blue ones once more when he spoke to her again. She smiled at his promise, dipping her head slightly and than lifting it again as a sign of thank you. ''That's fine with me,'' she chuckled truthfully. Nice things were never wrong to hear - especially since that wasn't something she heard often. She walked up next to him - feeling the sun rays shining upon her back as she stepped out of the shadows from the small stands.
She could almost feel her mouth go drooling by the description he gave her. ''Hmmm,'' she murmured as she walked up next to him, a smile decorating her small face. ''That's always been my weakness,'' she grinned, looking sideways to him. ''Coincidence, or?'' she playfully asked, aiming his words to his profession. ''Count me in!'' She shook her tail, the tips of her curls slightly dragging over the cobblestones beneath them. It was only now again that she remembered they were still in Inaria - the big city with all it's impressive buildings.
Her stomach growled softly, painting a guilty smile upon her face. The goods they were talking about and all the delicious scents her nostrils caught up on weren't helping either. To change the subject, she tried stirring the conversation in a slightly new direction. ''I'm curious,'' she started, her eyes glancing over the market place with all the different stands and all the different horses. She felt like a stranger walking between them - she didn't belong here - but even though she felt that way, she enjoyed being here for now. ''How do you do it?'' She asked, looking sideways to him again, her bright, golden eyes focussing on the features of his speckled face.

A soft laugh escaped his lips. "Well what a coincidence indeed as that is my weakness as well." he flashed her a wink and chuckled all the more. As she remarked for counting her self in, Farsight smiled all the more thankful for that in all honesty. The change in emotions and scenery was something he needed too, after a dark reading it was best to surround oneself with things they like and love, in hopes to forget the things that had caused them pain or harm. Farsight gently bumped into her in a playful manner before trotting forwards in a faster speed, wanting to beat any rush there was to get there. Though of course as soon as he spotted the line he let out a sigh. There was of course a line.
Brow arched a bit as she asked him how he did it. Nostrils flared a bit. "You mean harrowing?" he asked in a curious manner. Not sure if that was what she meant or if she was meaning something else. As many strangers have asked how a pegasi would stay here, but this was home where else was he to go? Where else would he be somewhat welcomed? He waited in line with her and eyed her a bit, was she comfortable in busy places like this, or was solitude more of her thing? In all honesty, he may have read her future, but he still knew nearly nothing about her. "I'll answer your question if you answer mine, what exactly do you do?" he asked with a curious look. He knew quite a few travelers outside of these lands. He looked to her a bit wondering if she would offer up anything, or would she hide everything so deep within her no one would ever be allowed a sneak peak of who she truly was.

She smiled at his soft laughter, looking sideways at the speckled Pegasi beside her. She hadn't met many Pegasi in her life, something that could be called quite odd. Of course they weren't the top of the bill around in Talori; they were needed for their sick rituals, but apart from that they rather saw them go than come. You would expect to see many Pegasi on the black market, or the Islands of the Death, for that matter, but there weren't many out there. Where being a rebel, being a riot, being a pirate, was tolerated as long as you wouldn't stroke too much attention. But being a feathered one, and being a riot? That was something that seemed to be a little less tolerated.
And maybe he was a good example of that. She felt that he was a fragile being, one that could get hurt easily. Maybe that was part of being a lesser one in the society of Aquore; part of being a Pegasi. She felt a sudden feeling of pity wash over her. She'd always been so damn jealous of them; jealous of the freedom of having wings that could carry you anywhere. But was it freedom, they gave you? Or was it just another way of imprisonment that could be acquired here in Aquore?
It was Farsight who softly bumped up against her, playfully, and fastened forward in a light trot, his feathers dancing at his sides, that pulled her back out of her world of thoughts. She smiled and trotted after him, her curls dancing after her. ''I mend Harrowing, yes,'' she said with a soft nod of her head, her golden eyes looking from the line they added themselves to, back to Farsight and his sky blue eyes, a friendly smile curling up the corners of her lips.
Until, that was, he asked his question. She hated lying, but she had grown so accustomed to it. In her eyes it wasn't even lying anymore - it was more like -- bending the truth, in some way. ''You could say I'm a merchant,'' she said as she let her gaze wander over all the different kinds of horses around them. ''I trade all sorts of valuable goods I find on these lands, from stones to things from the sea and things found in the jungle,'' she spoke it out as if it wasn't against the law. Only detail she forgot to tell was that she trades things over the borders. That she smuggles goods across the borders. But he did not need to know that. It would only make their conversation harder. Some of the horses that came by seemed to be royals; thick braids decorated with luxury items, valuable stones shining around their necks and servants following in their footsteps like stray dogs wanting a bite of their food. She snorted softly, her nostrils flaring and, with that, taking in the delicious scents coming from the card. She looked back at him, hoping that her words hadn't ring a certain bell in his head. It wasn't like the commoners of Aquore were that fond of Rogues... ''It smells soooo good,'' she said almost drooling, letting go of a giggle as she licked her lips. ''You sure know where to get your food,'' she said as she shot him a wink. ''Now that I answered yours,'' she followed upon her other words, ''answer mine,'' she said, swinging her curly tail around playfully, looking at him from under her thick, dark lashes.

A soft smile grew on his lips as he looked to her, he was friendly as can be and oddly, nothing took that awya from him. Regardless of how his kind was treated, he would not break before them. He would never allow them to take away his softness, his kindness. He refused to give that up. Farsight nodded to her statement of what he wanted clarified and soon she was off answering his question. Ears flicked high on his brow as he listened to her speak and yet he could feel something. Feel something wasn't all there in her words, yet the light he felt. Instantly went awya and he asked for nothing more in depth. Seeing as his question could alter her in just a bit. He knew when to pry and when not too.
Now it was time for him. "My harrowing... well its all with the cards." he remarked softly, he seemed to have a far off look to his eye. "Well at first it was a trick. You see I had no knack for singing, or dancing and if I couldn't survive as an entertainer, it was clear I wouldn't be able to stay here. So my father gave me cards told me this has been passed on through our family for ages, just it hasn't been used in years. So I've learned to say vague things to get me to survive, but then. I was blessed by Cascade. I can see deeper into someone, but its so blurry I cant see it well, my cards help me see it clearer." he smiled a bit, but his smile never reached his eyes. Cascade... It was someone he prayed to, begged for so much in his life, and yet she cursed him with this gift. Let him get so absorbed into seeing into the future. Seeing everything, oh how it overwhelmed him. The silence thickened and suddenly it was their turn for food.
"Two of those delicious fruit bowls! With the sugerly delight." he grinned a wide grin and the old mare chuckled and made them both a fruit bowl, the fruit was chucked up and placed into an edible leaf bowl. Waste not here in Talori. Farsight placed the coins on the table and grabbed his own fruit bowl and looked to Passoa and nodded towards the one left for her. Soon he was trotting off towards a quiet little place for the two eat.
