I D R I S THEY SAY SILENCE IS GOLDEN. Breathe in, breathe out. Breathe in, breathe out. Gosh, it almost felt like they were in sync with Adhara's breathing pattern! Idris kept one hoof extended toward the wiseman's head, gaze constantly switching between her and Adonis. All the while they struggled to maintain their composure, evident by the excited rise and fall of their chest and their unusually wide eyes. The other foals had been cleared away, giving space to the mare in labor and putting them and their elders in the spotlight. Oh, the anxiety was unnerving!
Thankfully whatever amount of their faltering composure had been caught was addressed quickly. The medicine horse Eyrin instructed them to fetch more herbs, and although Idris looked to Adonis for confirmation, they easily complied. From their mentor's pack, Idris sorted through carefully and pulled out a few of the Aodhian herbs. The colt grimaced at them, fraught with worry and already denying their own judgement that they were picking out the right ones. In the past few weeks as an apprentice, Idris had somewhat improved their knowledge of herbs, but the theoretical pressure on their withers made them second guess that knowledge for the first time in a while.
Everything must go perfectly. They flicked their ears as they pawed the herbs closer to them, listening to Adhara's struggles. They felt their expression twist into a panicked frown when she cried out again.
Thankfully, Adonis asked them to find something heavier instead. The colt's ears swivelled forwards, and they lifted the herbs they had originally grabbed and placed them back into the bag in haste. Inside the pack was also herbs from Aquore, one in particular that was green and bulb-shaped. That was the one they wanted.
Taking it in telekinetic embrace, the colt hurriedly cantered back to Adhara's side, and wasted no time. "Nn, nn," They nudged the bulb against her lips, instructing that she eat it. From their position, they looked over the wiseman's pregnant belly and observed their mentor. Idris's blood went hot when they noticed the scalpel.
Wait, wait, wait, was he going to cut her open??!

SALVATORE Seroran Iron Hoof
The entire situation went from stressful to petrifying in a matter of moments. Salvatore's expression was wiped clean off his face as soon as he heard Adhara say she felt something was wrong. Clearly he'd been present for a birth before, but that one went smoothly, though the process was long. Dread quilted itself over him as the two medics and the apprentice began to scramble to get stronger herbs and prepare for the operation to come. The Iron Hoof stayed himself at Adhara's side, a look of stone-cold shock lingering in his hazy blue eyes.
"Children, behind me, if you will," he spoke gently and calm, motioning for them to stand behind him and out of view. His curly ears found themselves once again pressed to his skull with concern for them... there was only so much he could do to shield them; there was no one else around to supervise them yet Salvatore felt obligated to stay close in case help was needed. Clearly these medics were perfectly experienced, but usually c-sections required four or more on-hand, and though the unicorn definitely had no idea what to do when it came to surgery, he felt that with all the adrenaline given by the situation, and proper guidance, he could do something. Anything.
With a glance back at the babies, he gave them a warm smile, with a hint of hesitation. "Just stay there, okay? Everything will be all right. Promise." He then turned toward Adhara who was wincing in pain at the ground beneath him. He knelt down in front of her and propped her head up onto his upper leg, hopefully providing her with more comfort than having her head on the ground did. He tucked his chin to his chest and squeezed his eyes shut, and muttered a prayer likely only loud enough for him and Adhara to hear in all the commotion.
"Goddess of the stars," he uttered, his voice cracking with strain. "Embrace the Wise Man with your soothing touch and keep her mind in tranquility. Oh, Alya... guide these medics through this difficult operation, steady their hand and lift their spirits so this child may be born without further difficulties. Great sky mother, I beg you... do not leave our side," the stallion implored, his faith now flowing over the brim of his being. His trust in the Goddess never failed, and he knew that no matter what happened, it was Her guided destiny.

NoatakFledgling
The vibe in in the group changed dramatically as Adhara's plea was heard. Noatak's ears were pressed as forwards as they could go, he strained to hear everything before him. As the pounding of his heart was deafening all the other noises around him. Eyes flashed to the looks of others, something felt off, something wasn't right. While surronded by mostly strangers, his eyes seemed to lock to Uncle Adonis, a humming emitting from his throat, like a babe calling for its mother. He was confused, he didnt understand, what was happening, and his confusion lead him to take a single, little hoof step forwards. Yet Salvatore spoke gently to him, saying it was going to be okay, but those words always had a knack of following after something terrible happens.
"Papa..." he whimpered out from his lips, as he took a few steps back to get behind Salvatore. "I want papas." he begged ever so gently. He wanted them, oh gods he wanted them terribly. Noatak didn't know why he had to be here, didn't have any clue that danger and uncertainty seemed to linger in Serora like the sand to its lands. Eyes looked to Saleen as if she would bring words of comfort, yet none of these faces, no ones presence would quench the his hearts desire for his parents. Noatak's body begin to shake faintly, his mind panicking, and every urge of his body screamed, flee.

Eyrin | Medicine horse
Adhara was pushing and pushing but the foal was not coming. Eyrin's ears flicked, eyes darting between Adonis and Adhara. This was not good. Adhara pushed again and cried out, pleadkng for help. That was it, they had to do an emergency c-section. Eyrin cursed inwardly as Adonis came to the same conclusion and took the lead of the operation. C-sections were risky business and there was a good change Adhara's reproductive organs could be damaged in the progress. Emergency made it even worse. If the foal died before they could get it out, Adhara would go in shock. Sending a prayer to Ayla as well as Cascade and Kaia, the male rushed to his bag and got out the stiching materials as well as antisthetic salution. He also grabbed the antibiotics he had aquired from a merchant who had passed through Breim. He was looking into herbs with similar effect but for now the foreign drug would have to do. He gave the stitching materials to Adonis before giving the antibiotics to Adhara. Better to prevent infection before even starting. He heard Noatak whimpering and his heart broke a little, hoping Salvatore would keep the foals from getting any mental trauma at seeing this. He applied the antisthetic to Adhara's belly, nodding to Adonis to go ahead. "You will take care of Adhara, I will take care of the foal?"

AdharaI know I'll wither so peel away the bark Because nothing grows when it is dark In spite of all my fears, I can see it all so clear I see it all so clear"Adhara, I'm going to have to perform a cesarean section on you to make sure that both you and this baby will be safe. I need you to do your best to stay calm and trust me through this. Idris will bring you something to help with the pain, alright?"
The mare nodded, cringing as Adonis's voice broke through her desperation. 'Stay calm. Breathe, just breathe' She thought to herself, trying to take in what the medicine horse had said. Before she had a chance to get too lost in what a c-section would mean, Donny's young apprentice, Idris, had returned and was offering the mare a green bulb, prompting her to eat it. Adhara complied, almost gagging on the terrible tasting herb before swallowing it down quickly, hoping it would kick in and do it's job soon.
The voices continued to weave in and out of her awareness as the others spoke about how to handle the situation. She couldn't focus enough to understand what was going on. All she knew was she was in pain, and she was scared- for both herself and the baby. Suddenly Eyrin was by her side, coaxing her to swallow some strange looking tablets she'd never seen before, but she trusted the young medicine horse to know what he was doing, and she obediently took the unknown substance.
"You will take care of Adhara, I will take care of the foal?"
Eyrin's voice seemed calm as he spoke to Adonis, and that made the spotted mare feel at least a bit better. Especially knowing that one of them would be specifically caring for the foal. As she listened for Adonis's response, another contraction tore it's way through her. Biting down on her lip hard, Adhara held back the scream lodged in her throat, not wanting to scare the fledglings any more than they already were. "Please..." She groaned, "Just hurry...."

saleenPUT DOWN THE WEAPONS YOU FIGHT WITH AND KILL 'EM WITH KINDNESS Initiate full panic mode. The fledgeling filly started to tremble ever so slightly as Adhara began calling for the unborn child's help. She immediately took a step back and ducked her head, her tail tucked between her skinny legs. How could things go from being so okay, to so horrendously terrible? Saleen could not fathom it, and she didn't even want to try, because seeing someone else in so much pain made her hurt a little bit, too. In a flash she scurried behind her father at his command, slipping herself through his long, thick tail and peering around him with both ears pinned. Her blue eyes looked to Noatak, and suddenly she felt a thousand times worse. The foal Adhara was carrying was his own sibling, and its life was in danger.
"Papa," she sobbed from behind her father's hocks, and she stepped out of the way as he knelt down. She replayed his calming encouragement over and over in her mind, but no matter how many times he told her it would be okay, Saleen knew something was wrong. Each time she watched Adhara capsize with another contraction only confirmed it more. "No papa," she scolded him; how dare her father lie to them. Clearly this situation was not right. Childbirth was supposed to be a beautiful thing, it wasn't supposed to be so grisly and ugly. Though only a baby, Saleen knew that.
An observant ear turned toward Noatak as he retreated to Saleen's side and leaned against her father. A tear nearly dropped from her eye as she heard him quietly call for his fathers, despite them being nowhere near them to hear. She inched closer to the other fledgeling and draped a wing over his side, attempting to comfort him. Saleen knew she couldn't do much, and knew that he probably felt uncomfortable being around so many horses he didn't know so well, but she would do her best while all the adults were busy saving Adhara and his sibling.
"Don't be scared Noatak," she cooed as she rested her chin on his neck, the hair of her father's tail still draped along her back. "You gotta be strong for the little baby." She began to cry. "You just gotta."

NoatakFledgling
Noatak knew things weren't going well, from the way the two was shielded to the way he could hear Saleen say papa. Things weren't going well and there was no papa's here to make things better. They always knew what to do, from tumbles and hungry bellies, it seemed they had an answer for it all. Yet out here so far away from them all, everything was so scary. Eyes closed tightly as if it would shield him more from what was going on, he didnt want to be here. He wanted to be home, or with his papas like he had begged them to take him with. Ears flickered up, as Noatak allowed one eye to open and spotted Saleen scooting closer to him.
A little trill of a hum escaped his lips as he looked to her, he offered the best he could for a soft smile, though he froze gently as she wrapped her wing around him, which oddly immensely brought him comfort. Saleen spoke to him, and he found himself smiling just a little bit more, she was right, he had to be brave and strong. He was going to be a big brother, and what good was a big brother with they were a scaredy cat. He nodded to his words all the more and looked to her. "Thank you Saleen." he was told to have good manner and if someone made your day a little better, he was told to always give thanks. To always show your appreciation. "Im just..." he stopped shyly, he wasn't used to talking much to others, his little hooves shifting in the sand. "Nervous...." he glanced to her, wondering if she too felt the same. But right now she looked quiet brave and heroic, like the horses that tamed the sands, the stories his fathers told him at night. Noatak nipped at her cheek in a friendly manner, a small way of giving thanks one more time.

ADONIS Irritation was starting to pry through his concentration as the seconds went by, his focus wavering from Adhara as Eyrin and Salvatore moved and spoke. The heat was growing unbearable as well, and Donny kicked himself mentally for not bringing something for shade.
His annoyance reached the peak as Eyrin's voice cut in, his words twisting the order that Donny had just given him. Unable to help but pin his ears back, he stared at Eyrin with an intensity that he would most likely apologize for later. There were reasons why the medic worked alone with Idris, and groups never followed what Donny had in mind. Of course, he couldn't expect everyone to follow the precise line of directions he had processing in his mind at the moment; no one in the group had telepathy (as far as he knew).
"When I get her open and that baby out, I need you to follow suit and take care of her. Idris will be able to help." His voice was almost cold as he spoke, but it was nothing short of authoritative. Adonis was the oldest medic present, and the eldest save for Adhara; he almost dared anyone to argue. He then looked at Salvatore, frowning deeply at his position. "Salvatore please step away," he grunted, his voice straining from his own stress. "Eyrin and I might need extra hooves for this, so please be at attention."
He turned his frazzled focus to Idris, attempting at least a softer look for the nauseous-faced colt. "Idris, I need you one hundred percent here, okay? Focus."
Taking a deep breath, he finally turned back to Adhara, her pleas begging for his attention. He slowly moved her onto her back, hoping the anesthetic was already in play. "Adhara, you might feel something, so just keep breathing, this will be over soon," the medic forced his words out as gently as possible, picking up the scalpel and making a smooth cut over her abdomen. The sight of blood never seemed to bother him, but opening up a fellow horse was never a fun operation from his standpoint.
He could see the enlarged uterus, almost wincing at the size. Carefully pulling it closer to the opening in Adhara's belly, he made another incision through the flesh. Grasping onto the foal's back legs, he focused his strength into his telekinesis and pulled the foal out as cautiously as he could.
"Idris, get some towels prepared, quickly! Eyrin be ready to help Adhara," he ordered, being careful to not dump anymore fluids other than blood onto Adhara.

I D R I S THEY SAY SILENCE IS GOLDEN. Oh gods! Oh gods, he was going to cut her open. Oh gods! They were cutting a horse open! Idris had heard of natural childbirth and herbally-induced labor, but they never heard of a cesarean section! They felt their throat grow dry for a second as they tried to swallow down a stifled gasp of air--it had a hard time going down into their gullet and it made their stomach hurt--and they had to force themselves from looking away.
By now, the child's calm, composed shell of a demeanor had cracked, slid downwards, and shattered. As the incision was made, Idris's breath quickened just enough for it to be heard. Blood spurted from Adhara, and Idris felt the bile rise into their throat. They're struggling, struggling so hard--not to panic, not to throw up, not to faint--but why was everything going a little fuzzy?
By the time Adonis was trying to pull the newborn out, Idris's plate-sized eyes were near to reeling into the back of their skull. Their legs were quivering and numb, senses slightly dulled by the overwhelming anxiety that threatened to make them faint. No, no! Keep it together!
They followed the path of their eyes and fell back. They didn't faint, no, but they were darn close to. Idris had practically toppled like a startled little goat. Towels. All they heard from Adonis was towels. Why did he want towels? Towels dry off things--the blood! The baby!
"Gah!" They shot upwards, though dizzy from their self-caused fall. They saw the blood and Adonis trying to pull out the foal again and nearly fell over--again--as shown by their legs teetering to the left almost drunken-like state. They stumbled over to the pack again--this time, fishing out towels, and as many towels as they could. At least they hoped they were towels--Idris was so blanketed with self-doubt and fuzziness that they weren't sure!
They made their way back to their mentor with the towels--this time looking away flinchingly. They knew, another glance and they could black out for good.

Eyrin | Medicine horse
Eyrin was taken aback at the sudden coldness in Adonis' voice as he outright answered with an order to Eyrin's inquiery. 'It's just the stress. It's just the situation,' he told himself. 'He doesn't mean it.' But even as he told himself so, his emotions were already flaring. Adonis didn't trust him. Adonis didn't think of him as an equal. Adonis felt himself the be the better medicine horse, having the right to order him around like a mere apprentice. It hurt. It felt like a kick at the only thing he felt competent at. He pinned his ears back as well, not so much angry as upset. But he wasn't about to argue, not really at least. Not when both the lives of Adhara and baby were at stake. Pride wasn't worth that. Let Adonis think what he wanted. He may haven't had the chance to personally deliver many foals before this, but he had assisted in their birth and he had delivered under supervision, making sure that when he did deliver them on his own, he could so smoothly, without a hitch no matter the dificulty. He had spent every waking moment since he was fifteen perfecting this skill, had learned herbs, had even been blessed by Cascade herself so he did not need worry about his own health. He knew what he was doing and it was with that knowledge he replied, voice crackling with hurt but nontheless calm. "I can take of Adhara, but the baby needs personal attention." He glanced at Idris, who seemed about ready to faint. Leaving a first time apprentice to look over a newborn that would need special care would be outright irresponsable. With that he quickly moved to begin stitching up both womb and belly as Adonis made room, washing out the blood with his water pouch as he worked.
"It's going to be okay, Adhara," he muttered, trying to sooth his patient. "You did well, you're doing well." He just hoped the foal would be too.

salvatore I TORTURE YOU TAKE MY HAND THROUGH THE FLAMES I'M A SLAVE TO YOUR GAMES I'M JUST A SUCKER FOR PAIN The stallion knew damn well, given his large frame, that it was easy to get in the way. He could admit that, but this time, he was genuinely unaware. He merely assumed that it was an appropriate time to pray, to bring Adhara, the Wise Man of all individuals, some comfort. But he obeyed, as he knew he should. Salvatore scrunched his nose and scooted backward, glancing at Adonis. His voice was calm and collected. "At once, sir."
Gently as he moved into reverse, Adhara's head slid off of his knees and onto the warm sand beneath him. The Iron Hoof could hardly step away before they started making incisions. Blood began dripping from the cut, and Salvatore cringed. Surely he had seen blood before, but right now his mind was on the children, and as he shuffled once again to block the view, he hoped to the gods they couldn't see what was going on. If they could, they might damn well be scarred for life. He arched his neck to look behind him, and thankfully they couldn't. Once again, his sheer size had gotten in the way, and he thanked Alya silently.
Still, his voice grew tense with a hint of worry. "Little ones, let's give the medics a bit more room." He gave a quick smile, and glanced to the landscape behind them, at the shore of the lake. "I think I just saw a little rain frog make his way toward the water, let's see if we can catch him!" It wasn't a lie. Salvatore's voice grew quiet as he lowered his head to their level, almost quiet enough to be a whisper, as if their plan were top secret. He nudged his daughter on the rump to get her moving, and then his blue eyes made their way to Noatak. He nodded his head toward the shoreline, silently inviting him along. Word Count: 316 Post #: 4

AdharaI know I'll wither so peel away the bark Because nothing grows when it is dark In spite of all my fears, I can see it all so clear I see it all so clearThe mare huffed softly as her body and mind began to numb, a side effect of the herbs she was given. As her senses dulled, she could hear Adonis speaking to her, but she couldn't make out the words. Everything seemed to be happening so quickly and yet hardly moving at the same time. It was incredibly overwhelming for the wiseman as she tried to keep up with what was going on, only to find herself incapable of doing so.
Suddenly she felt a sharp pain in her belly as the knife cut through her flesh, as dull as she felt, the pain was still there. She began to feel light headed as someone telekinetically pulled the child from within her. Fear gripped her chest as she saw them move the tiny form away. She went to speak but no sound escaped her lips.
Her head began swirling as the world grew dim. Everything began fading away, first sound, followed by touch, and then light itself. Darkness slowly overtaking her vision as her thoughts began to drift, almost as if she were floating...

ADONIS The hurt in Eyrin's voice immediately sent guilt through Adonis, his face turning hot with embarrassment as he tried to send the younger medic an apologetic glance. He really shouldn't have been so harsh, but he would have to save apologies for later.
He quickly, albeit carefully, set the foal down and grabbed the towels, vigorously rubbing the foal's body. He could trust that Eyrin and Idris were helping with Adhara behind him, allowing him to put his focus onto getting the little one clean and breathing. Luckily, they had an oxygen imbued cloth with them; Donny grabbed it and pressed it to the foal's mouth and nostrils to get oxygen flowing to its lungs.
Once the baby was clean of blood and fluid, Donny finally took a moment to look at it. The foal looked completely ordinary except... Instead of wings, scales dotted the baby's back, the sun making the baby almost glitter. He felt his body freeze as he connected the dots, his breath hitching in his throat as he stared at the wonder before him.
A kirin.
An actual, living kirin- and a child nonetheless. How could this be? How could a kirin be born from a pegasus after so many years? Was this a test from Alya, or perhaps some cruel joke from Ignacio? For a moment, Adonis felt resentment towards this child for endangering Adhara's life and being a spawn of Ignacio, whose very creation hung over their heads. Was he watching right now? The medic almost hoped he was.
Yet, Donny found that he couldn't hold onto this bitter feeling for long as he stared at the baby. Despite the fact that this child was a kirin, he wasn't willing to place the blame of its ancestors crimes on it's back when it was just born. So a soft smile spread on his face, a warm feeling replacing the bitterness as he knelt down to nuzzle the foal. "Welcome to Serora, little one," he whispered, praying that Ignacio and Alya were watching as he touched his wing to the child's side. Kirin or not, this was a child, and in that moment, Adonis swore that no harm would come to it.
The warm feeling would be drained soon as a sense of foreboding came over him. He angled his curled ears back, listening for some kind of response from Adhara. Her soft, tired voice should have been asking to see her baby by now, but there was nothing.
He whipped his head around, staring at the look on her face. When the drought had ripped through Sedo, he'd seen that look all too often. It was not something he wanted to see here today.
"Eyrin, she's not conscious!" He cried suddenly, panic tightening his chest. Donny glanced quickly at the foal, making sure it was breathing properly before hurrying back to Adhara. "Idris, look after the child," he ordered his apprentice, unable to help his voice coming out shrill. He was freaking out and it was so painfully obvious. This was most definitely a first.
After listening to her chest and confirming that her heart wasn't beating, he focused his telekinesis between the mare's front legs. He began compressing on her chest, counting each one he made and listening to her chest again. Nothing. He looked frantically to Eyrin as he began compressing again, his ears flattened back against his neck. "Eyrin please help me, I'm not strong enough!" Although he wasn't sure if it was safe, combining telekinetic power seemed to be the best option at the moment.
Through his panic, Donny prayed fervently to Alya, knowing he was never going to forgive himself if he let the wiseman's life slip through his hooves.

I D R I S THEY SAY SILENCE IS GOLDEN. Idris kept their eyes fixated away from Adonis and the newborn, lips pursed in a tight, uncomfortable grimace. Though they had obscured themselves from the sight, what they had witnessed earlier still lingered in their head, throwing mental images around and about the poor colt's racing mind. To keep themselves occupied, they started staring at Adhara. She seemed to be slipping into a subconscious, lulled by the herbs that had been delivered to her by them. Hopefully they had done their part and lessened the pain significantly for her. Though, this all left a question in the young apprentice's mind; how were they going to reseal the incision?
A hitched breath from their mentor was what prompted Idris to finally face him and the newborn foal. All at once, their blood went cold. Their heart skipped a beat and they felt themselves release one big gasp without any relent. It was as if their entire body had gone on stop for a second and then violently jolted back into ignition. Scales. Glittering, gold scales. Not featherless, flimsy pegasi limbs, but scales.
Idris nearly screamed. They could feel the adrenaline come ripping out of their lungs and they barely managed to grip it in time for it to come out as a sharp yelp instead. They never considered Ignacio one of their gods; they knew of the crimes he did and though they did not hate him for it, they didn't see a reason to worship him. His flames were a malice on their desert, and they were wary of the Aodhians who worshipped him.
So why, why, would he cast upon one of his creations, a being extinct for hundreds of years, upon them? Why would Alya let it come to pass?
Unlike Adonis, who embraced the newborn, Idris feared it. They looked upon it with shock and confusion and horror all the same. A kirin? Here? And in coincidence with the arrival of the Aodhian ambassador? Or was it all coincidence? The child was too dumbfounded by the sight to realize that Adhara lost consciousness completely. Idris jolted again, alarmed by Adonis's cry.
A new wave of anxiety only added to what was already there, and this time, it shot through them like an arrow. Did I give her the wrong one?! Was it too strong for her?! Poor Idris was suddenly plagued with guilt and fear. They had hoped everything would go perfectly, they had to be certain everything would go perfectly. But in trying to achieve certainty they doubted themselves. And now they feared that they made made a mistake that could cost the new mother--the herd wiseman--her life.
Idris's breath hitched, and then it quickened--eyes growing wide and mouth going ajar. "Ah--I-I-!" In their terror they wanted to find someway to explain themselves. But all they could do was manage a simple, panicked stammer. "I-I-I!"
What have I done?! What have I done?! The painted colt repeated to themselves as they turned away. Adonis's instructions were heard, but they were a single plea compared to the thousands of terrible words they were saying to themselves in their mind. They hastily threw a towel on the newborn's back, both to protect it from the glare of the sun and to hide its scales--and continued to wipe it clean, motions short and stiff as they were plagued by their own thoughts. NoatakFledgling
The idea of moving away from this place, sounded, good too good. Yet the idea of chasing frogs suddenly disappeared, when the atmosphere around them dropped. There was a moment to rejoice with the child, and then panic, pure panic. Head whipped to the side as eyes widen to take in the sight, ears pressed forwards taking in every word they all said. His heart dropped, something was wrong, Adhara wasn't well... Was it because of the baby? Or something else. Eyes turned to see Adonis, Eryin and Idris and then it was there in a flash of the light he saw the glistening of something he'd never seen before. Scales. Brow arose curiously as he moved quickly, weaving out from behind Salvator. "Baby?" he mewed out gently.
Though he was quick to cower back a bit as the adults spoke more, and he spotted Idris, stuttering out. Noa hummed out gently to them both, a bit in a nervous way, yet somehow a little encouraging as well. Yet Noa knew something was very wrong, and Noatak felt a sense in him for once not to just run off like a scaredy cat. He was a big brother now! He was going to be brave, courageous and steadfast like Alya. He was born from her feathers and thus would act as such. Determination set in his face as he glanced at Saleen and signaled for her come around. Perhaps the two could see more of the baby and Saleen was good with words, unlike him. Maybe they could get his new little sibling to talk to them or follow them. Noatak wasn't to sure what all babies knew. he didnt know to much, but he didn't remember not knowing how to speak at first, or learning how to walk.
Eyes peered a bit as he peered closer to the side, making sure there was plenty of distance between himself and the adults. He didnt want to get in the way, and he was unsure what was going on. Though Noa had a one track mind and it seemed to be revolving around that glittery foal he only saw but once. He wanted to know more, see more, shouldn't he be able too? Nervous eyes glanced to group around Adhara, and he felt himself gulp in nervousness. Adhara wasn't moving... not at all, and an odd feeling seemed to seep within his soul, a familiar song, he had yet to recognize, to young to know this was his life just months ago. Except hopefully Adhara would awake, unlike his own that slipped away into the darkness. A faint trill of a hum escaped his lips, as his small frail legs began to shake. What was going on?

Eyrin | Medicine horse
Eyrin concentration was on Adhara. So invested in his job he was, he did not notice Adonis' apologetic glance nor the wonder of a foal behind him. For a moment it was only Adhara that mattered.
The bleeding was clearing up, but Adhara was not receptive of his encouragments. Even under the influence of the pain killer she should have been able to speak, maybe only mutter, but most asked to see the child, even surrogates. Still he had to make sure she was all closed up first. Finishing the last few stitches, Adonis was already on it, having noted the same thing. Her heart. Eyrin's eyes widened, the slightest bit of panic grabbing at his heart. He pushed it away forcefully, knowing emotions did hinder rather than aid when it came to healing, even more so in critical situations. So he locked them, built a temporary wall to keep the waves at bay. That did not mean however that adrenaline did not coursed through his body, making his muscle tense and heart beat fast. Adonis was already trying to jumpstart her heart, calling for assistance as Eyrin tossed the bloodied tools aside and rushed to assist. He tried to be careful as to not put too much pressure on the mare, knowing he often underestimated his strenght. "On the count of 1...2...3!" And he pushed hoping Adonis would do so in sync. "Come on, Adhara, stay with us." he muttered to the mare, hoping that she would hear him. He sent prayers to every god and goddess he could think off, even Ignacio just to be safe, less this be his wrath. 'Please keep her safe, please keep her with us.' He was not loosing another horse so soon, not on his watch.

saleenPUT DOWN THE WEAPONS YOU FIGHT WITH AND KILL 'EM WITH KINDNESS The filly's father could hardly take the fledgelings five steps away from the scene before the medics extracted the foal. All was silent for a moment, but panic quickly arose once again. What could possibly have gone wrong now? If the baby was out, all should be well. But Saleen was so naive; she could not comprehend the fact that things didn't always go the way one might expect them to. The pegasus filly only ever knew sunshine and rainbows, but on this day at the oasis, she might learn something new. Something she didn't want to know, but was nonetheless a vital part of life. Something dark. Something a child her age shouldn't need to experience. And that was death.
Cautiously, she peered around her father's rear. Noatak was already taking those five steps back toward the doctors and their patient, and she nearly hesitated when he nodded for her to follow them. Normally Saleen was a strong filly. She was always keen to face everything head-on, but something didn't feel right, and she wasn't sure whether she wanted to leave the comfort of her fathers side. Yet she decided she would. Like a spooked rabbit she sprinted to her fellow fledgeling's side, staying close enough to be touching him, not coming out from under her comfort blanket.
What Saleen saw in front of her was a sight to behold. Her eyes instantly magnetized to the newborn, and it's magnificent glittering scales. She was oblivious to the state Adhara at first, utterly captivated by the new life. "Golly!" The filly exclaimed, her crest feathers vibrating with excitement. Though the new foal was beautiful to her, she had never seen anything like it in her life, and her innocent mind began to wander, wanting to know why it looked so different from all of the other horses she'd seen on her adventures.
"...What is it?" She inquired, leaning on Noatak slightly, not blinking as she looked at the two little nubs on the filly's head. "Why did it hurt Addie?"

salvatore I TORTURE YOU TAKE MY HAND THROUGH THE FLAMES I'M A SLAVE TO YOUR GAMES I'M JUST A SUCKER FOR PAIN Damn kids can be so testy, the stallion laughed with himself as he felt both Noatak and Saleen run from his side. It didn't take him very long to realize why. Curled ears immediately pinned to his skull when he saw the bloody scene the fledgelings were watching. He wanted to jump in front of them, shield their eyes... but they had already seen so much. Head low, he made his way to their side, catching their point of view.
"By the Gods," he uttered in complete shock. It was a phrase he couldn't hold in. He had never seen one with his own eyes, but there was no questioning he knew what it was. Blue eyes wandered to the sky that matched them and he let out a sigh. What kind of game were the Gods playing? There was no way this was possible, not in a thousand years. Yet here was this undeniably beautiful kirin filly right in front of their very eyes. So Salvatore had no choice but to believe it. Yet, it almost seemed too perfect, with the presence of Aodhians on Seroran soil. His brain went in circles looking for an explanation.
He then looked toward Adhara, and that's when time slowed down, everything else but a blur. As Eyrin began doing CPR on her, his heart sunk in agony at the realization that she was quickly drifting away.
Snap back to reality.
With a shake of his head, he turned to Adonis, repositioning himself in front of Saleen and Noatak, blocking their view on purpose. "Is there anything I can do? Please. Anything. I feel helpless just standing here watching..."

AdharaI know I'll wither so peel away the bark Because nothing grows when it is dark In spite of all my fears, I can see it all so clear I see it all so clearThe mare blinked slowly, taking in the scene unfolding around her. So many horses working diligently to make sure she made it through this ordeal safely. She got a bit misty eyed at the thought, a slight smile crossing her lips. Lifting her head slightly to look for her child, she was surprised to discover that she was no longer in pain.
It was at that moment she realized what had happened. In her last moments of physical consciousness, she must have called upon her blessing. The severity of the entire situation had compounded in it, manifesting in a way she had never experienced before. It was new, and strange, but a pleasant surprise to be sure.
Ever so slowly, Adhara lifted herself of the ground and away from her body, walking towards the foal and the young apprentice who cared for it. Her hoof steps were almost nonexistent as she approached the two, her head low as she reached the foal. She was beautiful, even with Ignacio’s scales covering her tiny body, she was the most amazing sight Adhara had ever laid eyes on.
Pressing her nose to the tiny filly’s cheek, she whispered softly in her ear. “Oh little one….” Her voice was gentle, but sad as she spoke, not knowing if the child could even see or hear her. “You mark a great change for this nation… and your earlier days will be filled with so much uncertainty.” She sighed softly, ruffling the filly’s forelock. “But you will be well cared for little one, and so well loved…” A single incorporeal tear rolled down the mare’s cheek as she glanced back at the medicine horses gathered around her body as it slowly failed. “I’m so sorry that I won’t be able to be there for you….that I won’t be here to watch you grow into the beautiful equine I know you will become…” Her voice cracked as she gazed at the tiny filly she had spent so many months carrying. The child she had sung to under the moon’s gentle light and had whispered stories to when the sun was high. This was the first time she had seen the child, but that sweet moment carried the bitterness of also knowing it would be her last. “I can not give you much little one…, but I will give you this… you will be called Hanani, for the gods are gracious and have blessed this herd with your life. You are a blessing, my child, no matter what anyone else may say...always remember that…”
As her voice grew silent once more, Adhara heard a gentle voice calling to her, almost as if a gentle breeze carried the sound of her name. Looking skyward, she could have sworn she saw the figure of Alya, circling above the clouds. Nodding in silent resignation, she smile gently, kissing the filly one last time. “Goodbye Hanani… Know that I love you so dearly and will always be watching over you.” The tears were flowing freely now as she turned, saying a silent goodbye to those who had worked so hard for her and Hanani before raising her wings skyward and lifting herself in the air, ready to join the one who had given her the gift of life in the first place.

ADONIS Again and again, Adonis focused his power on the mare, not hesitating to put all his strength into pounding her heart back to life. Eyrin had joined him and together they worked rhythmically, the other medic looking so eerily calm compared to Donny. It was obvious he was panicking, his high emotions slipping through as he counted out the compressions.
Salvatore's voice cut through and he turned to look at the red stallion, hoping he didn't look as distraught as he felt. "You're a father, look after the baby," he replied, quickly going back to compressing.
The scene was all too silent, he soon realized. No cry from the newborn, no response from Adhara. Then, it was as if time had stopped all around them.
He wasn't sure what was happening, but he swore that he felt Adhara shift beneath him, although as he watched, she didn't move. Her body was still, yet it was almost like her spirit shifted. He stopped working on her chest, feeling compelled to turn and look where the newborn was laying. Donny swore it was a trick of the light, perhaps just his panicked mind playing tricks on him, but he thought he could see the pale, shimmering form of Adhara standing over her filly. Her voice sounded in his ears and he caught the name she gave her child, all the while ignorant to the tears that blurred his vision. He blinked once, letting them fall without hesitation. The medic wasn't entirely sure what exactly was going on, but he was in no position to speak up. His whole body felt... frozen.
Suddenly the vision of Adhara faded and he could feel whatever sliver of life her physical body held slip away. Reality came back to him quickly, a rush of emotions hitting his chest. He turned to look back at her body, his throat tightening as he saw the peaceful smile on her face. The realization of what just occurred washed over him like acid and he found himself too stunned to move.
"No..." His voice came out as a hushed whisper, his eyes wide as he surveyed the damage. The damage he had caused. Granted, the foal would not have lived if he hadn't taken such actions, but Adhara... Burning guilt and horror came over him. This was his fault. "No..."
Finally able to move, he staggered back, gently moving her body onto her side before raising his gaze to Eyrin. "She's gone," he murmured, his voice cracking as he looked away from her body, unable to even see what he had done. His heart was heavy from the thousands of emotions he was experiencing at the moment, unable to fully bear the weight of it all. However, he kept up at least some of his composure as he made his way to the baby, staring at her form with tears continuing to fall.
"Her name is Hanani," he announced to the group, although they must have certainly heard Adhara's final words as well. Glancing at Idris, he suddenly pulled his apprentice close, holding onto the colt for stability. He just wanted to go home now.

salvatore I TORTURE YOU TAKE MY HAND THROUGH THE FLAMES I'M A SLAVE TO YOUR GAMES I'M JUST A SUCKER FOR PAIN A strong nod followed Adonis' suggestion. Salvatore agreed, it was probably the only way he could give a helping hoof. His head swung back once again to meet the gaze of the two fledgelings he was shielding. "Little ones, with me," he ordered tenderly, and turned back to look for the newborn once again. "I mean it."
Quickly, he trotted along a path far out of the way of the medics, for the last thing he wanted was to get in the way again. He slowed abruptly as he neared the kirin filly, and then stopped altogether. His blue eyes had to squint in order to confirm what he was actually seeing, and even then he wasn't entirely sure. It looked like what was Adhara's spirit, glistening like the night sky, hovering over her new foal. His head tilted as the spectral image spoke in an ethereal voice, and the Iron Hoof's head tilted as she bid her goodbyes to her infant. His head shot up and looked to Adhara's body, where Adonis and Eyrin were still performing CPR, and poor Idris, having a panic attack in response to the entirely dreadful scene.
When he looked back to the newborn, the ghastly figure was gone. He took it as a prompt to wrap himself around the infant, his legs providing comfort to her as they had done for the Wise Man not long ago. His daughter lay beside them, a tiny wing resting over the new filly as if she were trying to shield her from harm's way. Salvatore looked to Noatak, worried sick for the tiny colt. He gave a nod to the trembling fledgeling, reassuring him that everything would be okay, that no harm would come to his baby sister, and that he was welcome with open arms to lay with them.
He recalled the birth of his daughter, and did his best to replay the scene, where Eyrin pressed on her nose to get her breathing and cleansed her of the birthing fluids. His heart racing a million miles an hour, he gripped a nearby cloth with his telekinesis and gently rubbed at the filly's scales. He remained mesmerized by their shimmer as he moved toward her small face, softly wiping off her unopened eyes. He lowered his head to her chest, ears perked, listening for her quiet inhales. There was a sigh of relief when he confirmed it, yet it quickly turned into a gasp as his head shot up to hear Adonis' cry... "No... no..."
A whimper escaped from the Iron Hoof's lungs. How could it come to this? Beside him lay this precious new life, a joy to the Serorans, kirin or not... and immediately after came the tragedy of Adhara's death. His gaze found itself upon Idris once again. "At ease, my friend," he soothed. "You've done all you can, and that is more than enough. Alya has made her decision, and called Adhara to her side," a tear fell from his eye as he continued to stimulate the filly's breathing. "It is a tragic loss, and she will be missed. But the Wise Man will never be forgotten; she has given this herd an extraordinary gift." He paused briefly, before giving a glance to each of the medics before looking back at Idris. "And your work here today will not be forgotten."
Salvatore gave them a grateful nod, before lowering his head and shutting his eyes, embracing his daughter, Noatak and Hanani.

I D R I S THEY SAY SILENCE IS GOLDEN. The strokes of their hoof as they rubbed the newborn colt clean gradually grew gentler, until the pattern was an unchanged metronome. Idris was too mesmerized by their own thoughts to lift the towel away and check to see if the little filly was clean, but if one could look closely enough--Noatak, Saleen, or Salvatore, they could see that tears were welling up in Idris's eyes. For now, the scales on the child's back were forgotten; they were now frantic with guilt and worry over the life of the wiseman, and it showed in those very eyes. Idris was struggling to keep themselves contained--but it was hard to do so when all around them, everything they had hoped for was collapsing.
Finally, in one swift breath, they found the will to throw off the towel and set it aside, taking a moment again to look at those red scales. Their pattern was mesmerizing, The way that the sun glistened off of them was actually quite beautiful--how could a little creature like this, so strangely majestic, have caused so much destruction in the past?
There was a bright gleam that came in the corner of their eye. Idris thought it was just the glare of the sun bouncing off of the child's scales but they looked upon it for a split second, and their blood went cold. There had to be some sort of illusion being played; maybe it was a desert mirage like the ones they had seen during their ceremony, or perhaps it was their fears coming to fester--but they could have sworn they say Adhara--gleaming, beautiful, and entirely ethereal; her figure floated gently over the newborn filly.
But just like that, it was gone. It vanished before their eyes within seconds. Yet, the unsettling feeling stirring in their belly lingered; Idris rose to their hooves, and hastily looked over their shoulder to Adhara's unstirring body. Their ears panned back, and an exhale, laced with a whimper, left their mouth.
Adonis confirmed it. No, no, she couldn't be...the Wiseman, she couldn't be gone! This wasn't how it was supposed to go! She wasn't supposed to go! Their tiny frame shook and their lower lip trembled, as the Iron Hoof Salvatore tried to put them at ease.
But, nothing could. A feeling of hopelessness sunk deep within the pit of their stomach. The child's legs buckled beneath them, and they allowed themselves to crumble to the earth. They could no longer contain themselves. Idris's head hung low, and their breath became riddled with small sobs. Adhara, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, I failed you...
It was not the first time they had seen death. Alya had reaped their mother weeks before, finally ending the pain and suffering she gave herself in order to save her tiny family...to witness it again, only weeks later and at such a young age, made the colt question; had the gods truly forsaken them? Were they all alone? What kind of trickery was this, to cast upon a kirin but take away the life of a beloved wiseman at the same time?
"S-s-sorry," They stifled quietly to themselves. "I-I-I, I'm s-so sorry..."
They felt the warm embrace of their mentor's wings. He been through so much, and was probably in just as much pain to know that all his hard work and effort to save the wiseman had been all for not. They were both riddled with guilt, and in that, Idris easily found sympathy. The colt sucked in one big breath, laced with a sharp wince--and proceeded to wail in Adonis's hold, cries muffled into his fur.

NoatakThe World Is To Cruel For A Soft Heart Like You
Noatak's attention was pulled away from his new sibling as he spotted the shimmering beside his new sibling. It felt warm or at least Noatak thought, and it seemed to settle his ever so worried heart. Though a part of him longed to embrace the shimmering he saw, but somehow he managed to remain where he was. Noa closed his eyes gently and as he did he could have sworn he heard a few words, but as he opened them it, it was only his new sibling and the shimmering soon gone, faded away into nothing. Noatak was ready to trot happily forwards to his new sibling, yet his uncle Adonis made him stop in his step.
Head tilted as he spoke no...noo... She's gone. Ears were high on his head as he instantly looked to his new sibling, they were still there. Eyes glanced around. Everyone was still here? Who was gone? Yet Noa felt himself want to flatten himself down on the ground as he looked to Adonis and then Idris as he began to speak. Sorry, sorry why was he sorry? Noatak didnt understand. Everything was okay wasnt it? Everyone was here, but something felt so very wrong. Though Salv was quick to move and usher the young babes away from the scene. Trying to assure that this would not be a lingering memory that would last a lifetime. The stern voice in Salv, made Noatak look away shamefully, like a young pup he felt himself lowering down into the ground.
As the small little group huddled together, Noatak felt himself nuzzling into Saleen and the babe, trying to embrace them so tightly that sadness could not creep in. Ears twitched at Sal's words, and he felt himself close his eyes. No... no... no... Adhara is here, he saw her, she is here. Alya did not take her, what about Hanani? Hanani... He paused opening one eye to look at his new sibling. "I'm gonna protect you Hanani. Im gonna make sure nothing bad happens." he whispered to his new sibling. A vow he would hold very dearly to himself. Eyes glanced to Saleen offering her a light smile. "Saleen too." he whispered out. Noatak nestled in closer trying his best to muffle out the cries of others, trying to not let the sadness come in. Please don't let it come in.

Eyrin | Medicine horse
Eyrin grew more frantic is his movements every second that went by. That wall he had so meticulously built cracking as panic dragged it's sharp claws over his mind. A little longer. She could make it. But time was precious and Adhara was taking long, too long. Something shifted but Eyrin barely noticed, too caught up in his mission to safe her life. He was crumbling, knowing it was too late but desperatly clinging onto the slight hope of a miracle.
"She's gone."
Adonis words pierced to his frantic thoughts, waves of emotion finally crashing into him. No. It could not be. He watched the mare as she lay still, stomach freshly stitched and no doubt already growing cold even under the Seroran sun. He had failed. "I'm sorry, Adhara." The whisper passed his lips as if it was another breath. A tear made it's way down his cheeck. And then another, And another. Untill soon the big stallion was nothing but a sobbing mess, shaking and gasping for breath as he was overtaken by his emotion, all the stress and pain and finally guilt and sadness came crashing into him, almost making his knees buckle by the strenght of them.
Many questions ran through his mind, many of which he knew he would never receive an answer. It was something that he thought he would never grasp or comprehend. And it hurt. He closed his eyes and turned away, not able to face reality. He didn't want to see. When he opened them again he stilled as another emotion hit him. Shock. Adonis stood bown over what could be nothing else than a kirin, it's scales glittering under the sun. Confusion. His mind realed, more question being added to his muddled thoughts. Answers were again not to be found. This must be the work of gods and one word slipped from Eyrin's mouth.
"Ignacio."
Contempt. Fear. Anger. Judgement. Fury. All of them slammed into him in the next moment as understanding dawned on him. This was Ignacio's doing. The fire god who had already injured his father, who's heat had taken his grandmother from him, now also had taken their wise man. His head raised skywards, tears still rolling down, eyes questioning what his voice couldn't. What had they ever done to deserve this? Eyrin did not know, but he felt a certain loathing for the god welling up to him. This was the third time and three was not a coincidence anymore.
His head fell back down, hair covering his eyes. Helplesness. What could he do against a god? It was no use. For now he could only mourn.

ADONIS Idris' wails pierced his heart and Adonis held the colt closer, pressing his nose to the child's ear and whispering soothing words to him. He blamed no one in this situation but himself, and by Alya's wings would he let the guilt of Adhara's death consume his apprentice.
As a medic, Donny knew that there were certain risks that came to childbirth, or just any procedure in general. He was certain that this was what Alya wanted from him- delivering children and helping with mothers. It was almost silly to see how one death could make his faith waver, if only for a moment; however, the Wiseman's hit him hard.
Nuzzling Idris' cheeks to wipe their tears away, he focused on Hanani, feeling his chest swell with the maternal instinct he always felt around little ones. He felt guilt for failing to keep Hana's mother alive, but the feeling to protect this child overshadowed it.
Kirin or not, he swore to protect her with his life.
The medic stood close to the scaled filly, slipping the towels from her back and nudging her hindquarters. Without her mother, nor her fathers, present, Donny took it upon himself to look after her for the time being. He cursed himself for not having any supplements for her, but that could be taken care of soon enough. "C'mon sweetheart, time to move," he encouraged her, his voice low and gentle.
His ears caught the contempt that came from Eyrin, his icy blue gaze flicking up to glare at the medic. Despite the stories of how kirins almost destroyed everything in the mortal realm, Adonis refused to sit here and be angry about it. He refused to let someone's hatred and contempt taint an innocent child. He looked back down at Hanani, feeling his heart swell with love already. "If anyone dares to lay a hoof on you, or even looks at you like you are not Seroran, they will have to deal with Alya's fury beneath my wings," he swore under his breath, his voice not matching the coldness in his eyes.
"You will be cherished, Hanani," Donny promised, giving her room to attempt to stand but still shadowing her protectively. He turned his gaze up towards the sky, letting out a soft sigh. I won't fail you twice, Adhara.

saleen PUT DOWN THE WEAPONS YOU FIGHT WITH AND KILL 'EM WITH KINDNESS Blue eyes began to glow with amazement as they studied the precious golden scales upon the kirin's back. It made Saleen wondered why everyone gazed upon her with uncertainty at first; in her innocence, the pegasus filly was immediately head over heels enamoured when she first laid eyes upon her. Clearly different, yes, but it didn't make her any less a potential friend - no less a little angel filled with love, no less Seroran.
Saleen's tiny wing gently ran along the short hairs along the baby's back, as her father continued to clean her. With bright eyes she looked to Noatak, and nearly melted at his words. It was true, they would do all they could if it meant Hanani would be safe. "You are a lucky big brother, Noa," she said softly to her friend. "She is beautiful. She will do good things." It was a profound sentence to come out of a child's mouth, yet Saleen knew it to be true.
Gently, she laid her head on the colt's shoulder. Everything was so peaceful, so quiet. Her mind focused on Adhara, and the great sacrifice she took in bringing her baby into the world. Though Hanani was not her sibling, she was grateful, because she was still her friend, her herdmate. And it didn't mean she mattered any less.
A quiet whimper escaped from her as she felt Adonis remove Hanani from their little group-hug, but the filly gave the medic a gentle smile. The older, more skilled horse knew what he was doing, and the baby was perfectly content with that. Swiftly she nestled herself closer to her father, and placed her wing over Noatak instead. She was happy he was there with her today, having someone her age close by was comforting to the fledgeling, and deep down, she hoped he would never leave.

I D R I S THEY SAY SILENCE IS GOLDEN. Slowly, slowly, their heavy sobs began to soften into mild hiccups. The white fur that blanketed face was now stained gray with tears, as was likely the patch of fur they had cried into on Adonis's neck. Idris's tears gradually began to stifle, but even so, they couldn't stop themselves from leaking snot from their nose and sticking out their lower lip. It was hard to stop themselves from crying; a single glance unto Adhara's corpse and the child felt prone to cry yet again. They finally pulled themselves away from their mentor, to save him from the snotty, tearful mess that their face had become.
Gently, Idris wiped the traces of their own tears clean on their knee, and reached for a rag from Adonis's pack to clean and cover their face with. Their head remained craned at a low, sad angle, tired blue eyes squeezed shut as they hesitated to look on. They didn't want to, lest they see Adhara's corpse again and feel the guilt slowly squeezing them in their chest.
They wandered a mere two steps from Adonis, small form veering away from the others if only to step away and try to regain their lost composure. But how could they? The wiseman was dead, and Idris, struggling to digest all of what has just conspired, was also only starting to develop their thoughts on the newborn foal before them. If taught and raised well, they figured she wouldn't be of any harm...but Idris was still uncertain. This was an act of the gods, or at least, an act of Ignacio's, and Idris couldn't help but question why they had decided to spawn a kirin but refused to spare the life of the mare who birthed it. This had to be divine intervention, they had to be watching. Why wouldn't they...?
Slowly, Idris turned around again, making their way toward Adonis who was now cradling Hanani. Hanani is...a pretty name for a pretty horse. Even if she was a kirin, she had beautiful scales. The painted colt pondered to themselves. Whatever they have planned, I hope it's something good...if the gods were truly at work again, then that meant that their very fates were in their hooves as well. Idris mingled on this thought as they went to Adonis's side, still hiccuping, still sniffling every so often, but quiet nonetheless. They laid themselves down, and planted their cheek up against Adonis's neck, tired blue eyes staring involuntarily at the red dirt at their hooves.
But why now is this all happening?

Noatak
As Saleen spoke of him being quite lucky, his heart and chest seemed to swell with pride and delight. He was lucky and he would be the best big brother he could be. He would show her everything there was to be with the help of both Saleen and Idris, he thought to himself. He nestled in closer to them all, but as his Uncle Adonis approached, he offered a bright smile to him. Adonis helped get his new sister here and for that he was forever grateful, though when Adonis plucked her out from the pile, he let a small whine escaped his lips, though said nothing else. He knew Adonis was a healer and was making sure Hanani was safe. He sighed gently as he already wanted to spend as much time with his new sibling as he could, but there was time to do that later.
Instead Noa looked to Saleen and Sal and nestled closer to the bunch, wanted to feel their gentle embrace wanting the comfort and warmth that was lost a bit from the leaving of his new sister. Head curling over, he glanced at Saleen and seemed to give her a soft smile. "Im glad you were here." he whispered to her, in truth he was very glad, if she was never here, well he can only imagine him that he would have already ran off to gods know where, he still got a bit lost out here, but he was learning. Noa nipped playfully at on of her curled ears before resting down once more, taking in the warmth of those around him.
