"Kickball"Tegan, Jala, Nagisa, and Laurens(intotherealwild, BazookaNeon, Chipo-H0P3, and hubahuba02)
Tegan | Talori | Tenderfoot
Ears flicking in either direction, Tegan dodged back and forth, hooves scraping the golden cobblestone with a sense of determination. The colt's eyes were locked on an orange rubber ball that him and his friend were tossing between each other. The boys had been running back and forth for the entire morning while Jala's mother occupied their family's produce stand. It was a bit difficult to maneuver a game of kickball between the streets of Inaria, something the quagga colt had realized much before the game had begun, yet Tegan had convinced him that, it'll be fiine. To be completely honest, it was a miracle they hadn't run into anyone yet, or hit someone for that matter, though a few cranky elders did end up shouting at them to "knock it off" a handful of times already. This delayed their game for a short while, just for the time it took Tegan to convince his friend to play once again.
Tegan galloped backwards with his head swiveled in the opposite direction to keep an eye on the rubber ball, his eyes open wide to display a rush of adrenaline. As the sphere headed closer and closer to the colt, Tegan reared up to smack it with one coal-colored hoof. The object shot back toward Jala in an orange blur, who in turn, threw the ball back again.
"Come on Jal, throw it farther!" Tegan said as he head butted the ball back to his striped friend. The pegasus bounced up and down and side to side in anticipation of his throw.

Nagisa was always busy, but that never stopped her for finding time to shop. The silver mare was always delighted to do so, even more so when Laurens was there to carry her bags, but it was early in their trip and Laurens hadn't any bags yet. As Laurens followed Nagisa while she browsed, she noticed two colts playing ball. The orange ball made the most satisfying, round ' boink' as it traveled from player to player. Every now and again, a senile market goer would scold them, leaving the two mumbling in anger, but eventually returning to their game. This made Laurens laugh to herself. Their shopping trip continued and so did the boys and their game. Laurens wasn't paying particularly close attention, and neither were the colts. The two groups got closer and closer. A flash of cream and stripes glinted by preceded by an orange flash. The familiar ' boink' from earlier sounded but it was not from a hoof returning the ball. Laurens face went into shock. Nagisa had stopped in her tracks and Laurens was too scared to look over. Slowly, however, she did, with her head lowered and face in a fearful glance. A small, round imprint of a ball was square on Nagisa's cheek. The council member's face was red with anger and Laurens braced herself for the heated response. 225

JALA Talori Tenderfoot "Heads up, Tegan!" Called the striped colt, flashing a determined grin. Now, the point of "Kickball"Was to try to see how long the ball could be kept in the air without touching the ground. If it was passed to a player and they failed to catch it, it would be considered a point lost. Once a single player fails to catch the ball ten times, the other player wins and the game must start over again. By now, Jala had only failed to catch the ball twice. He was determined that it stay that way. Somehow he had
managed to keep record of their scores in his head throughout the delays. The ball constantly ricocheted between the two colts and at great speed, until the peacock pegasus had called to him from his spot in the street. "Okay, you asked for it!" The thirteen year-old called back to him, bracing himself on his hooves. His tail flicked
in anticipation as it soared overhead and fell toward him, and in one swift motion, he whirled around, and bucked, kicking the ball straight across the street. Unbeknownst to him it had missed Tegan completely and flown out of range. The reality of it didn't hit him until
he heard a loud "whump" and a very feminine yelp to go with it. "Tegan?" Jala whirled around, first looking for Tegan, and then the ball. The ball was slowly rolling away from a pair of dark hooves and striped legs--very differentstriped legs. Jala raised his head to take a look at the owner and he paled. His lips pursed taut for a moment, before his head
shot downward toward the cobblestone. Oh Cascade, that's not Tegan. That was a lady, and a lady of high reputation no less. He could tell from the jewelry that she had to have been of Talori's nobility. "Oh man," The young colt muttered under his breath, hooves kneading the soil between the cobblestone.
