Featuring Khazada and Eyrin
Khazada
Khazada
A week or so had passed from the last time Khazada saw her father though the dun seemed to be holding her own vigil on the small hill her father often visited her to practice. Though just like the night before, there was no sound, no sign of the draft unicorn and Khazada couldn't help but feel the knot in her throat tighten. Had she done something wrong the last time? Did some ill fate befall her father, causing his absence? All these questions poked and prodded her thoughts as she stood still as night was falling.
More strained breaths left her muzzle as Khazada averted her gaze to the heavens just as the first stars were coming into sight. Always her father would tell of how important those small balls of light were when traveling and Khazada felt herself wishing they'd only show her as to where her sire vanished too. Or guide him back here for Khazada could see him again but the stars only twinkled in response with no comfort given to the young mare. Khazada only assumed the longer she stood there, the more of a chance she'd have for her father coming back, even if that meant she was alone most of the time. It didn't matter just as long as father returned.
Lowering herself to the sand, Khazada tucked her knees under her just as her gaze lingered on the growing darkness that only blocked her view of the sand covered land below her. The only things that became clearer were the stars which captivated the mare's attention as she began her lonely vigil.
